What's interesting about AVA's protagonist was that basically they were a shapeshifter, and they would get powers from these corrupted animals. Each area was based off of every TGC game, there was a big field like flower, a foggy area with these big stone columns you could jump off of for Sky, an underwater-ish [-ish because it wasn't underwater but it was close to it] area for flOw, and a snowy desert/tundra for Journey. Each corrupted animal in the end turned into something that represented each game

there was a weird moth/owl hybrid for sky, a snake for journey, a manta for flow and a bird for flower, and their corrupted forms were like bones and stuff

i think at the end of the game there were cameos of the traveller from journey, the descendant/skykid from sky, the wind from flower and the creatures from flow

i love how colors reflect in white, as an sky (almost totally) artist, even tho the characters has white hair, i never use actual white

even tho i use weird looking colors, i always stay in monochromatic color palettes, warm or cold. It's easier to blend colors if your start with a fesaturated one, and gradually scalates to a saturated one, i tend to shadow more with saturated colors than darker colors

with monochromatic palettes is easier to make something catch the attention, if you have a dark, cold palette, then it's opposite will catch the attention easier (if it's a small detail)

even tho the second one is not a monochromatic palette, it fits because are almost all grayish colors, gradually getting saturated for shades

the duality of my palettes is wild, man

i'm selfthaught tho, i'm explaining it by my perspective and what i do, don't take it too srs
