Take inspiration and references ! Drawing with ah intend and small goal is how I practice when I do ! Maybe try set small goals as to how u want to set up bases for a character and then see where you can look for things for the given character ?

Like small notes on their possible behaviors, setting, mood and such and sometimes don’t at all and see where things bring you

But I can definitely highly recommend references! It’s used all the time in so many settings and by professionals if u need to hear this too

Everyone begins somewhere! I also began drawing with 0 experience. As long as you are persistent enough, you will be able to grow. Art is a difficult skill that takes a lot of time to improve in, and its never actually too late to begin drawing for your own fun.

My favorite medium to use for this stuff are water-based ink brush pens, and I have to say: there's this really cool technique where you hold the tips of two markers together and the top one's ink flows into the bottom's brush tip (not into the ink reservoir) — as the second color goes out onto the page and the original color comes back into the tip, it creates this really smooth gradient

It doesn't damage the markers at all, but it's really funny to do it when drawing in public because people look at you like you're a monster

Wanna know a fun fact about my moth?

Fun fact yipee:
This moth was a skykid too but when they tried to save their mom and the worst part that they ran out of flaps to save their mother from d3ath but it was too late... Their mother died and moth got hit by red crystal and died too (idk if elders made skykids reborn so dont attack me cuz idk the lore of sky) but elders saved them but not their mother... The moth was reborn as a human with orange lunar moth wings and had flowers that grow on their hair (so basically that was a way different moth that can change into a child or a teen without a mask and has way different clothes than other skykids)
