for anyone who didn’t experience week 1 of fire trial, you had a pretty decent change of ending up in a server with a bunch of players and just going through with them. I did it with about 5 other people, i’m not kidding, the trials were busy at first.

HERE GOES:
The Shopkeeper (or a new spirit)looks at you, worried. They are an unofficial quest-giver, and clicking on them transitions to a cutscene.

This cutscene shows Megabird, the embodiment of all the light. The questgiver says that Megabird is challenging veteran Skykids by dispersing the Enchantment-Prophecy Lights.

For example, in Prairie, Red Light has obscured parts of the realm. You need to be careful moving throughout, as you can be left in total darkness.

The reason Eden is yellow is because Megabird is controlling it. They want to destroy it, but they need your light.

At the very end, Megabird tries to defeat the Storm of Eden. It’s a stalemate, with both parts weakened. This changes Eden forever.

So I'm thinking...Since TGC said that it's more into the direction of Season of Prophecy's gameplay. Wouldn't this mean we would have some trial based? Not directly trials but-
Since the darkness appears to look as it is spreading to all the other realms (taken from the DP realm in #news)- would we have to overcome certain obstacles to reach the next? I'm thinking this will end up leading to having to find a way to get rid of the darkness in each realm...

Taking from @hushed steeple’s theory, maybe you have to do stuff to return the Enchantment Lights to their original position. For example, you will need to rescue spirits in complete darkness, and doing so makes a cutscene where light creatures and spirits work together to rid the red light.

something of the light. lightseekers seem to, well, seek light. they seem to be post-Eden calamity, so there wouldn't be a lot of light around given the immense darkness,therefore they'd be task with searching for light to bring to others.
they are cultivating light from the saplings, therefore they're "seeking" the light out of them. another thought is that they're pruning the saplings so they'd grow without overbearing themselves.

the Eden king aka Eden Elder aka the king is a figure that's simultaneously is and isn't present in the Sky world. they were present in concept development as a big bad boss figure we'd fight but ultimately save in Eden, having been corrupted, but that's no longer the case. devs have said that they're still in the game just not in a way you'd expect, so speculation on them is vague.

supposedly they oversaw Eden as their realm. some think they were behind the Eden calamity that ruined everything. some think they were the same as the prince or Chosen One depicted in the Cave of Prophecy murals. Chosen One, after completing the 4 Trials, could've been crowned prince and ascended into being king (hence pre-skykid civilization being referred to as "the Sky kingdom"). they might've had attained powers from completing all four trials that could've factored into the Eden calamity. they might've oversaw or greenlit power diamond production, the manufacturing of with increased darkness into the world and left it as it is today (see: Wasteland).

it's easy to cast them as the villain, however, cos they aren't here to defend themself. they could have tried to reverse the effects of darkness corruption but failed. the corrupted diamond in Eden could've been their gift to the kingdom, not a manifestation of their green or a "kill-all" switch.

krill are corrupted, as confirmed by Jenova Chen, founder of TGC. what they were before corruption, we don't know.
crabs may have always been crabs except they have darkness rabies, given that there are passive crabs in Sanctuary who don't have darkness flakes on them, the hostile crabs are hostile cos darkness, just like krill are.

so sorry this is long and it took me forever to type out but

when watching the elder cutscenes i tend to look out for body languages and how they are before and after they acquire the flame from our skykids.

the injuries that the elders go through don’t have to be physical (like forest and vaults scars n whatnot) but they could also be mental!
and i headcanon these injuries appear during the whole eden incident.

the isle elder has obviously grown weak and blind after the whole eden war, i have this headcanon that he had used up all his light to create magic to attempt to destroy the corrupted king to avoid further corruption throughout the lands.. and this has brought him to lose all his energy and something had to have broken his mask causing him to go blind (that’s until he gathered the light from our skykid!)

the prairie elder: i have this theory he mayyy be depressed, since he’s seen as the very chill and sleepy elder, i thought that maybe since he sleeps a lot he probably goes through a lot of depressive episodes. (i couldn’t think of anything else)

the forest elder: obviously she probably went through a burnout, causing her to lose motivation to make tools and other things (that she used to love doing) she was also probably going through a bad depression episode bc of her realm was so rainy. :(

the valley twins: missing arms, they look like they have prosthetic arms :0

the wasteland: he probably gave up on fighting, he knew he was letting everyone in the sky kingdom down, causing him to give up and grow weak.

vault: i cant come up with logical lore related ideas but a friend of mine had said that not all scars have to be from physical damage, depending on the severity of mental trauma it would manifest as deterioration. which would cause the scars on her face. and i sorta liked this idea.

imagine having to fight his closest friends (elders), seeing countless of sky inhabitants lose their light, letting the land he governed & called home become invested with darkness…

he felt immense regret…
hopelessness from doing what he did so he shut himself away from the world by making a storm so no one could get close,

maybe he felt that the solitude & loneliness was karma & his punishment, that there was no way to atone for all that he did…so he couldn't move forward

in the end, he was lonely & needs a hug…he needed forgiveness because he couldn't forgive himself

Moth helping is a very complex and deep skill. Let me give you a to:
The very first thing you say to any moth is “What language do you speak?” Get google translate on your phone and computer. If it’s a Latin-based script (like Spanish or Vietnamese) simply type in the output on google translate from the computer. Otherwise, copy and paste the google translate output from your phone. Also: Always bring a table when finding moths. It is the most helpful item.

the candles might not be tangible wax candles since they just dissolve into light. I think of the candles as a dividable currency they form light into in order to count the amount of light they have. as per Spade's screenshot, spirits give cosmetics as thanks for rescuing them or appreciation of their friendship.

so I think of the exchange not as buying their stuff but as gifts, but they need the light to make the gift first. so the spirit is going "if you give me this many candles worth of light, I'll make you a gift" and the skykid gives and the spirit crafts the cosmetic out of light. though I like to think of the spirits doing the skid's hair
