I’m just — the whole first quest had a sort of silly fun vibe to it. You’re learning but the music was delightful and each switch changed the stage in a way and it was so cool. Then quest ends and it’s Eden backdrop. Wasn’t expecting that.

and now for actual lore: remember when i was talking about the elder statues eyes being blue before their cutscene, and yellow after? well I compiled the elder statues into one image. And look at daleth

I think this is because of how daleth first appears to us: his face is all broken, including his eyes

but it could also be the reoccurring theme that isle was the only realm without corruption. There are no crabs in isle, and no dark plants. Even prairie has some corruption, but despite the state of isle, there is no darkness

Another cool note about vault elder cutscene is that they don’t accept our light, use it to recharge, and then use it on the diamond. We light the diamond ourselves and they recharge from their friends

That painting has been established to be a sky kid and I assume it was made by the prophets. Upturned wings, rounder body, star in the middle of the chest. That statue is 100% a sky kid but why it's there doesn't make sense. It's in such a random spot. Kind of off to the side almost placed there as a second thought

Characters in the game are created without a gender in mind. Most you will get is headcanons (mine is that since Elders likely aren't mortals, they are beyond gender and don't really care about pronouns, but the most used would be they/them)...

In Sky though, the elders may have features that can tend to be masculine/feminine, such as a beard, or long hair, or the body type.
Though as Vela, other theorists and devs on the channel have said, the elders did not come into existence with a set gender.

I came across an old Light awaits artefact, a Moebius ring, a mobius strip.
Even Bricky did a theory that feels relevant to this: #lore-discussion-spoilers message

A mobius strip is a ring with a twist as it loops in on itself infinitely.
The description is reminiscent to a skykid's first journey and every one that follows. The skykid goes through the realms and meets the end in Eden. Yet there is a twist to the tale as the skykid asccends to Orbit and is reborn.
By returning to the start, the skykid has completed a cycle and is now part of the loop.
This is what I think is meant by the phrase we see after being reborn for the first time, "The real journey starts here..."

The skykids cannot save the world in one well swoop, though can learn and grow from the experience they gain as they continue to do what they do best in Sky. And that is to save the spirits, make friends, and become stronger as the season go by and more spirits appear to be saved.

I have once discusses a time loop theory and will elaborate on it soon.

I’m not sure how reincarnation would work if there are innumerable skids and one king. I’m not an expert on reincarnation, but one becoming (at least) thousands seems impossible

The time loop theory.

Time in sky is not constant, but relevant to the skykid's progress in the realm. As they make their way towards the temple, one can see the time of day move forward. When the skykid is stationary the time of day, as in the sun, would not move onwards. And if the skykid were to back track, the time of day would also go backwards.
It is difficult to see this effect in Wasteland, though that is due to the cloud coverage. While Vault and Eden is more difficult to see time move forward as there does not seem to be any means to tell time has moved at all. For Vault, it is the calm before the Storm, and in Eden, it is just darkness and chaos.

Since time is out of balance, I have a reason to believe that the cause is from the Eden Elder being missing.
Looking at the elders and their realms, each one represents an element that makes up a civilisation. Transport, care/responsibility over creatures and the land, technology, culture, justice/bravery when faced with hardship and knowledge/wisdom; each representing the respective realms, Dawn, Day, Forest, Valley, Wasteland and Vault.
Eden and Orbit are different, not only in the name but what they represent.
The realms also represent the stages of life, from birth to old age, Eden represents death.
Orbit is the realm that follows Eden, and can only be reached after going through Eden, as it is the realm where life is restored after death, rebirth.
Us skykid know this as the text that appears to the player explains this to us, "You are about to be Reborn."

Following that logic, the Megabird (also known as the Bird of Light), would be like mother nature, the being that gives life to the world. While The Eden Elder, the King is like Father time, also known as the Grim Reaper. The judge that would claim mortal souls and guide them to the after life, which in Sky is ascension to Orbit.
If the King ruled over time, then him gone would have caused a time loop, because time would not be able to move on.

So, because King ruled him self to the Sky and causing time loop in the first place

So, the Eden Queen is the Mother of time then?

In addition to that, if time is caught in a loop, then it may explain to why the world has not fully recovered, why the spirits have stayed behind to haunt the land and trapped in their own cycle of reliving their memories.

Us skykids cannot change that on our own. Neither can the spirit interact with the land physically.
But together, they can. We have seen this take place in seasons of Enchantment, Sanctuary, Prophecy, Assembly, Flight and Abyss.

All of that said, this is just a theory, not canon, as this is not confirmed (to my knowledge).
The theory has taken inspiration from other users on this chat, and because of that, I would rather lend credit for this theory to the lore chat.

I think time did move forward in a normal and natural way with the King in control.
But either something went wrong and the King royally messed up with stopping time, or disappeared and caused time to loop in on itself.
Regardless of the cause, time in Sky; may be doomed to reliving its past mistakes until something or someone fixes that. (again, to my understanding and assessment of the events in Sky).

The crystal is located in the Eye of Eden, which can also be called the Eye of the Storm, as the realm was once called that in the past.

It is unclear if the crystal is the sole cause of the storm, the corruption and the time issues.
We will have to wait and see how it would pan out in the future.

In the past, Wasteland was so important realm, it was connecting between the source of sky knowledge (vault) and the other realms, it used to have monuments from all other realms like a evidence of their existence, they lived there and used wasteland for trading between them, that's why it was full of life, and for this importance it was where the war was.

We call the elders, Elders because of their position and perhaps status. We call the spirits as they are and even the dialogue subjects them to Ancestor Spirit.

Here is my question; what are they really called?? In species I mean.

The little Prince is portrayed with human features but he isn't at all human.

The book tends to leave things up for the reader to interpret.

So for all intends and purposes, the book says the Little Prince is a young boy that lives on an asteroid, is brave and able to extradentary things just because he thinks he can; such as talk to plants and animals, tame a fox, fly with birds on a string; and there is the thing about death. The little prince is not afraid of dying, but fully understands the idea of it when it comes to his rose, himself and his friends.

Figuring out how he does it exactly could be the book's way of telling the reader that doing so means to act like a grown up. But just accepting it after asking about it and understanding it in simpler terms is being like a child. Which is not a bad thing in all cases in life. Though the burden of responsibility affects everyone, regardless if you are a kid or a grown up. Just like the Prince with his rose, or the pilot and his plane.

ever since Salem first pointed it out i’ve been paying attention to all the doors in sky. In forest the raised middle part on the doors is much taller and slants inwards. In wasteland it’s shorter and wider.
but there are also examples of wasteland doors that are distinctly not wasteland style. The one in the third image looks to be closest to forest but i’m not entirely sure

I like to think that wl hold pieces of memories and are semi-conscious, so lonely moths talk to their wl. Sometimes just to have a friend, sometimes to ask for help or directions from consciousnesses with more experience. When they go through Eden the first time, they’re really sad and scared when they lose their friends. They’re so relieved to find them again, and catch them up on all the adventures they had in the intervening time.

I like to think older wl, having been passed through and imprinting the memories of a great multitude of skykids, gain semi-sentience. Every time a skykid passes a winged light onto another, they leave a little bit of themself on it. So a winged light has a bit of a mind of its own. It’s very limited — it can’t move on its own nor really speak when used. Though if it’s the only winged light in a skykid, as within limbo with a petrified skid, it can echo or repeat phrases from its memories. Not uncommon for skykids in limbo to just sit there and talk with the winged light that revived them before uniting with it and ascending. Sometimes the winged light gives the skid a bit of a pep talk since Eden is so traumatic.

Megabird. The ethereal god watching over countless galaxies across different timelines. It cares for each alternate timeline and watches it flourish. Each timeline is independent of each other, building its own history. Every creature is free to discover, to create.

But one day, a timeline started to corrupt from the inside. The darkness corroded planet after planet, constellation after constellation. Surely this was just one timeline, right? No... somehow, the darkness bloomed independently across many timelines... this isn't statistically likely, is it...?

Eventually, many timelines were suffering from this eldritch darkness. Megabird could not save everything... but there was one hope. With a swift talon, they cut away the least corrupted parts of each timeline, hoping to recover them. With cosmic thread they wove the fragments into a new timeline... hopefully, a timeline they could protect. Near the center of this universe they assigned five ancestors, each from a different timeline, to help keep the timeline stable. These five ancestors were given aerial powers, but no one was to know about them.

With their new powers, the Flight Ancestors created wind paths as rifts to the other areas, to keep them connected, in the hopes that they would merge properly.

Alas, as fate would have it, the darkness came back and started ravaging the merged timeline. The Flight Ancestors tried everything they had, expending all their power to protect the timeline, but the dark creatures had severed all the rifts keeping everything connected. The dark creatures ripped through everything, separating the world into even smaller fragments than before.

Thus, they had failed their mission.

As Megabird watched the disaster unfold, they began questioning whether they might have given their creations too much freedom... after all, those entities had created the darkness as well...

So earlier today I noticed that Teth’s base mask is different from the forest mask’s base mask. But the helms are still (generally) the same. I also noticed that the colors of forest elder’s mask’s helm is the same color scheme as the valley masks, meaning that the velley masks’ helms are elder mask helms, but aren’t worn by The Valley elders like all the other elders wear their helms. Which means, the valley spirits that the valley masks belonged to might not be related much to the late(deceased) valley elders, but the dead valley elders could have still existed.

Also, we have this other wasteland mask that looks like a smaller version of one of the valley masks, and I’m kind of thinking that the elders and megabird might be hiding something from us….

i actually thought of that. I had the idea that the king can manipulate light so well that they can "kill" the Elders by taking all their light in like the flick of a hand. in turn, they can revive any of the Elders by returning their light to them. the king holds this above them when their mind starts corrupting and they go power hungry.

I haven't written this yet but basically Vault Elder and the king physically separate the Valley Elder(s) and the king takes one of their light, "killing" them. the two consciousnesses running through the Valley Elder(s) stops momentarily, but only one resumes. the remaining one is terrified and charges down the Vault, screaming, and the king is so taken aback and genuinely scared because they've never heard anyone scream that way that they revive the other Valley Elder.
This is of course biased to my idea of how the Valley Elder(s) work.
