Regarding the pants, while base game pants all have the same skin tone, each seasonal pair of pants has its own skin tone, it can range from a noticable change like yeti, to a very slight change like gloat.
Sad-ist is a popular animator on YouTube. A lot of their animations feel like action packed movie trailers. The movements and camera actions are super smooth
Mellow musician reads and comments on the valley eldars fic, and routinely pesters the author for more
What if ancestors had hair made of light and absorbing colored light made their hair turn that color
Headcanon: their dream is to grow up and join the rhythm troupe
Scarecrow naurified, green and purple clash so bad
I wish I had enchantment hair to check this with š
So someone with Little Prince pijamas and an enchantment cloak could check
Isle elder is a redhead thatās why they got banished
Isle Elder with ginger beard
I think that the slight blue hues in hair color is meant to emphasize shadows, or just to try and give the illusion of a shadow within the different layers of a hairstyle. Blue is used this way in art, so it makes sense, at least to me, that TGC does this with the textures of their hairstyles.
JELLYFISH HAIR XD
that is definitely their dynamic
Heres some examples of what Iām talking about. The slight discoloration is used as a shadow, it helps to give depth to a white colored hairstyle, fur, feathers, etc. that might otherwise appear flat.(or something like that) This is why you only see it on the tips of hairstyles or within the divits between hair parts. Or even at the root.
Now as to why mellow musicians hairstyle is greenish, I donāt have a solid answer nor idea why. I might be something to do with skyās shaders, but thats very iffy in my opinion. But from experience with this sort of discoloration, I can tell you all that it does seem to typically only appear in areas with lighting similar to the closet.
Hey guys, what are the chances that the big diamond in Eden controls the weather?
Nonzero
It looks like a big malfunctioning battery. That causes the surrounding weather to go haywire because electromagnetism stuff and thus causes the hurricane of rocks and death to shower upon the land
Yāknow, Jellyfish Whisperer seems like the kinda person who really loves garlic bread and would rather spend their life with their jellyfish instead of a singular ancestor/spirit.
ā¦ā¦you catch my drift?
Kinda.
Headcanon: Half the peeps in Sanctuary are just openly gay (based off this one tumblr post)
OH this is an ace joke, I havenāt heard the garlic bread stuff in a while it took me a second
your honor, consider: all the sanctuary spirits are openly gay
They just radiate gay your honor
so true
Season of LGBTQIA+
Chill Sunbather. That's it, that's my argument. Lover of men.
okay so the positive tone indicator makes your message get deleted
that's something i gotta remember
chill sunbathers cape is a way better pride cape than the doR one imho
For some reason to me they give off the straight person of the group vibe.
HELP ???
straight wine aunt vibe
OH MY JAR YES!!!
I wonder if any of them are trans. What do you people think?
I wave my silly little magic wand and cast spell of everyone is trans
rallying thrillseeker screams trans
peeking postman too
daleth is trans š³ļøāā§ļø
Kakashi twin is trans
sah
shows daleth
trans memes on their phone
Imo Mekh is the one that's trans instead of Sah
they can both be trans
Thank you for telling me. Please know I didnāt mean ill intent by it.
Okay but Percy and Mellow are just gay and Rhys and Enchant are gay
Rhys: Yo you with that musician guy yet?
Percy: You with Mister Orbs yet?
Rhys: Very funny.
i think prairie elder is genderfluid maybe
They are all agender to me personally because I see gender ambiguous characters and go Yesssā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦..lack of genger just like me
Genger
Yeas.
Gengar
Cannoneer: Gender
Thrillseeker: Ginger
Salem:
my interpretation of canon spirits vs my headcanons r very different, everyone has no gender but also daleth is a trans man, hope that makes sense
All jokes aside, I really like that all the characters in Sky are canonically genderless for a Lot of complicated reasons. Itās really nice to be treated as the normal/default for once (instead of media that does portray non-binary characters, but theyāre not the norm), as well as see ppl with beards, dresses, and other stereotypical āgenderedā methods of presenting themselves and STILL is agender. It makes my heart very very happy
Not our fault we play checkers while you play 5d chess.
really makes my nonbinary heart go
Iām wearing the cat hood in game rn⦠I canāt even be mad⦠gengar ears
how to win at 5d chess: use time travel to summon infinite queens
The they/them are thriving in Sky, nature is healing.
Also sometimes I just want to not worry about gender presentation and just dress up as a bird. Is that too hard to ask?
saw the gender gengar thing first thought was https://krillking.tumblr.com/post/646147982804303872
gender presentation my beloathed, let me be a silly little guy (neutral) without having to worry about other people perceiving me
Irl pic of me
Identify as a threat like me.
I want to be cat
There is one gender binary spirit amongst us./j
gender is my silly little soup i can mix things in when i want to
skykids should see me and despair
Krill ^^^
I headcanon that ancestors in Sky use diffeeent pronouns than just they/them, as a form of expression and to distinguish ofhers, but theyāre STILL all genderless, and not all of them are what youād expect from a traditionally gendered standpoint. Like idk maybe the blushing prospector uses he/him. Praying acolyte uses xe/xem now just like me!! It would be really neat,
The spirits use neopronouns so true
Wait, you use xe/xem ? Poggers. Spirits using ey/em. Spirits using pronouns we don't even know about.
hey lore chat members whoāve played animal jam thoughts on concept boatswain w the monkey mask n graham
sorry 4 crispy pics my phone is a deep fryer
oh hey i use those pronouns
They're the same picture.
Esther, could you not make jokes like that in this context? (The Passion flower one) I know itās probably not meant badly, but itās too similar to a common transphobic joke motif for me to be comfortable with it. Ty !
(Oogway voice) Ah, monkey
Angler ze/hir so true
Sorry about that, I had no idea./lh
I use xe/xem and they/them and switch between them at will. Itās very fun i like it
going insane over how concept boatswain had a ton of hair at first and then a little less but itās scruffy and then they even have it in the abyss promo art and spirit cards but ingame?
Bald
Anyways there's something about season of performance that is so nostalgic to season of dreams (my first season) and me being a theatre kid at heart that I just went and cleared half my storage in my phone to redownload sky pfft
Alopecia
tgc nerfed them
we couldve had our flag means death/hj
WHERE DID YOU GET RHIS ART FROM. I WANT TO SEE THE FURSONA MASK NOTES
He should have used Keeps, the sponsor of this comment

Where do you think the fur on their cape came from? /j
Boatswain got shaved by barber moths
Ok this reminded me. How do cannoneer and commodore take care of their hair, thereās no way they have shampoo. I donāt even think they know what it is
DONT HAVE TJW LINK ON HAND SINCE IT WAS A PAL WHO FOUND IT N I FORGOR ALREADY
WAS IT THE BUNCH OF ART THAT GOT LEAKED EARLIER UP IN CHAT??
grab dark stone and use its power to make a hair dryer/flattener
blorbos (had to censor a no no word)
You know I always wondered that too, especially because they dive in the ocean so much. Do you KNOW what saltwater does to your hair?!?!?
Remember Flight Guides old blue/teal/greenish hombre outfit? I honestly prefer that one to the current one, the current one is still good, just I prefer more bright sort colorful colors.
MAYBE??? idk i wasnāt around n didnāt read up heklp
You will be surprised at the hygiene vikings (who inspired Abyss) had !
Percy: Can you tell me what your relationship with Enchant is?
Rhys: Iām Enchantās right-hand arm. Man. Iām Enchant's everything. I'm their confidant, their best friend. Their silly rabbit.
Percy: Their what?
Rhys: Their silly rabbit.
Percy: Their silly rabbit?
Rhys: Yes.
Percy: Is that what they call you?
Rhys: No.
WE COULD OF HAD AN OMINOUS OLD LADY RAVEN SPIRIT!!!!!!!??????
this bit has me thinking a lot
would skykid lights turn blue if they got exposed to pollution for like a while or
Well our light is kinda blueish/white when we die in eden so
ALSO more notes
- ancestors can lose eyes?
- also their eyes would normally be glowing gold like ours?
There is a hand full of masks that have blue eyes actually. Like the enchantment masks and the valley masks.
When we use a wing flap, we briefly turn blue
father daughter dynamic so true
theyāre so
Iām pretty sure most masks have blue eyes, though from what I remember/can tell itās just on the spirit, not us
I wish we got that krill horn instrument

I was actually referring to when we wear the masks. Those masks when we wear them have blue eyes. Most of them have orang eyes though.
i dunno about the rest of the spirits but angler stuff looks like this on skykids
Broke: abyss guide is commodores kid
Woke: theyāre all basically their kids at this point, commodore is jsut in denial
In his introduction post it says he makes bad jokes at everyone so heās basically adopted them all at this point. The dad jokes never stop
I need Alasdair to be online right now. His take on commodore is š š¤
found my spirit cosplays, hereās cannoneer but skid
cannoneer is definitely a 10/10 in my books
idk if any of you know or watch eret but cannoneer reminds me of them
Who do you think inspired my post?
Lightseeker mask as reference for a usual eye color.
And then the other masks have blue eye x 2. And the performance masks are kinda greenish blueish.
these pictures just scream "no candles?" im sorry
No AP?
Its true, I have nearly no candles. You better keep your candles in particular under extra security from now on.
I joined sky last year may 31st, and Iām wearing an ap hood./lh
I was saying that as a joke more for my sake because I donāt have AP
No AP gang
Ooooohhhhhhhhh
I have 4 seasonal pendants. donāt egg me on cause I will rub my luxery in your face./j
Luckyyy, I have an AP but I canāt use it on myself
Use it on this bread[š ] then eat the bread. It will transfer the ap over to you.
Good idea
Man, it's been a long time since i heard about animal jam again
Also, there is a chance it could be lethal. But its only an unknown chance so I think youāre fine.
where did krii got their concept arts?
The only one Iāve gotten ap for was my starting season, I got the pants I wanted and completed my favorite spirit so Iām happy
Sniv's nightly Sky headcanons time (because all my friends are asleep right now and my brain is still vibrating)!
Back before Eden went kablooie, there were a lot of different ways the Ancestors thought of Skykids. Some of them thought of them as just regular ol' kids who act a little funny, some of them thought they were weird, disrespectful hooligans that go against everything their society stands for, some of them thought of them as sort of fairy-tale fae, strange children of the world itself who follow no rules but their own, and who should be respected, and others just thought theh were Funny Lil Guys.
attitudes shifted over time, of course, but generally everyone had wildly different opinions on skykids! in the same small village you'd probably be able to find someone who's half-adopted like five of them (they donāt live there but that is most definitely their parent now), someone who hates skykids because they don't listen to rules and also put a crab in their house through the open window once, and someone who leaves a bunch of lit candles in their yard for the local skykids like a birdfeeder because they think its funny. and theyd all be neighbors
what- nvm
"Skykid birdfeeder" is sending me, thank you spirits putting out candles to give us (our purses) a better chance to survive the frigid winter (several expensive TS and days of events in a row).
bursts in
Okay so so hear me out
Juggler/Storyteller
u saw the twitter art didn't u
yes i saw it
gorgeous
there
I would get trapped in that-
So I had a mini theory lore, Idk how close it is but it's just a theory.
This theory has 'If Stars/Winglights used to be Sky kids during the 'pre-Eden corruption era'
If Stars/winglights used to be sky kids of the Eden 'before-corruption' days and the wipeout of all realms (since we only ever see spirits as their graves and not counting seasons because they only come as travellers after the season is over).
There are two Stars in The Treehouse of forest. What if the treehouse was constructed by the two sky kids as a show of their friendship? Or the Treehouse spirits helped make the treehouse. We know that there's one star that is in the bottom of the tree and another on the highest tree nook.
What if during the downfall and corruption of Eden, one of the kids took shelter under the tree to avoid the wipeout whilst waiting for their friend who went out to see the damage at the highest nook of the tree? Only to be caught by Eden's corruption wipeout. Their stars/winglights forever signifying where they last stood. ||Separated from one another||
I find it interesting we continue to find things in multiples of 6 in this game; 6 red triangles on the foreground rocks, 6 more on the mountain, 6 rocks drawn floating around the peak and 6 rays around the light above. Notice how they are also divided in groups of 3 on each side...
Kinda repeats the pattern of 6 realm portals split in two groups of 3 in the home space.
Oh ! Right below the light above, there's a red diamond ! It's a bit more subtle since it's next to something shiny, but this might prove ancestors either ventured far enough to know of its presence in Stormlock, or the records kept on the event were widespread enough for ancestors to get an idea of what lies there...
I'm curious about more wizard stories and personalities this season
I wonder if the diamond was there before the disaster. Like, it was working fine then it broke or something
Max design of the number of wls on your cape is also 6! After that it starts tiering up.
Hello!
And now for no reason, a headcanon on seasons that Iāve wanted to share for a while.
The seasonal areas (or basically most areas that were added into the game later) were always part of the world of Sky, until the corruption. It caused many of the areas surrounded by clouds to close in on themselves, and caused boats to fall out of the sky, or fly away from their spots. Some ancestors however were different, including the ancestors in these areas, and they were not fully dead. Their souls were still floating around somewhere, waiting to be found..
anyways thanks for reading bye
Ohhh that's pretty close to what I think ! Maybe sky kids helped by dreams spirits managed to free the passageway to the village theater in time for the season of Performance
YAS PLEASE
Of course yāall were talking about the Abyss spirits the night I go to bed early smh
Iām sorry
@hushed steeple
I think something similar. Perhaps the initial Eden calamity sent out the Storm max force, covering the whole or most of the kingdom in clouds. Overtime, in part as the Storm loses energy and in part due to the light-rich presence of skykids, the Storm recedes and the cloudcover shrinks, unveiling new areas to us. Itās a valid thought to have, especially since some pathways to seasonal areas are revealed by moving clouds (Valley coliseum used to be full of clouds until Dreams, Dreams Village to Performance Theater, Wind Paths, entrance to Caves of Prophecies, and I suspect entrance to the Sanctuary Islands but I canāt confirm that).
Also, as shown during Season of Flight, light creatures are able to clear clouds to make passages. With the passagesā disuse, they close up. The Flight crew used chimes to direct migratory light creatures to create the wind paths we have. The Eden calamity is thought to have caused a mass extinction event and swelled the world in darkness. We also know, from Flight quest 4, that the Wasteland wind path allowed darkness to spread and chased away light creatures. So itās feasible there were less light creatures around during the post-Storm period that allowed clouds to spread.
YESS
LMAO š š š
Hehehehe glad u like the headcanon
I just think its really funny to imagine that some of the spirits just consider skykids 2 be Funny Weird Birds honestly. because also think skykids are kinda just Funny Weird Birds sometimes. They do very silly things and would probably fly right into a window and make a comical slapstick bonk sound because they're not watching where they're flyjng
gotta love a good aldasair essay post :)
Skykids are essentially the culmination of all the ancestorās goofiness
As for my daily dose of Sky headcanons... OO, this is a fun one
Though the Valley Twins are skykids, almost none of the other Elders actually knew that. They were the only Elders that the king actually chose, since the city within the Valley was actually fairly new- And, of course, the king, being a skykid themself... Chose their childhood friends. The twins actually planned this in advance- They were already pretty tall for Skykids, so all they really had to do was stash their wingcloaks somewhere hidden.
Why they were pretending to be Ancestors was... Complicated. The king was a skykid, and not even a "grown up" one- Just some kid with too much responsibility- So before this point, the twins kept sneaking them out of the palace to go have some fun. The King pitched the idea to let them be the Elders of the Valley, they all knew that nobody would agree to let a couple of kids run an entire city (hahaha...), so they... Just pretended to be Ancestors, and it worked, which meant they could sneak the king out to go have some fun together without committing, like, treason or whatever.
The Wasteland elder was the only one who knew what was going on. They helped those three dorks not get caught. Thanks, grandpa.
what if. skykids cannot see glass (source: i bonk into glass at least once every time i go to office)
oh thatd be really funny actually... they just dont understand it. They don't get why they can touch it but not see it
(bonk) (bonk) (bonk) (confused honking noise) (bonk) (sound of a skykid flying into glass at fast mph) (honk)
some spirit is watching from afar and losing their mind because none of the skykids ever learn
oh oh oh related headcanon!!! skykids can see ultraviolet light. sorta how a lot of birds and insects can! except skykids can see all the normal colours too they just get an extra one
Sky kids get the shrimp colors
Skykids get the shrimp colours!!! i mean theyre children of light so... i think they should be able to see the forbidden colours
Sky kids get the shrimp colors but they still canāt see glass
glass is a forbidden color
Sky kids with like 16 color cones instead of the 3? I think? That we have
Instead of a rgb system itās whatever colors are able to be seen when you have 16 types of color cones
bold of you to assume they have colour cones theyre just a bunch of light in a people shaped sack
Those color glitches are skids getting momentary access to shrimp vision
Those colour glitches are us getting momentary access to skykid vision. imagine, for all the childish wonder they have at the beautiful, bright, magical world around them.... and they get a million extra colours to make it even more wonderful
Also if sky kids canāt see glass picture them getting stunned like birds do and the elders wrapping them in a blanket like a burrito to try and helpā
the valley twins are known among the elders for "not knowing what glass is". Somehow nobodys put 2 and 2 together
Do you think the windows everywhere tend to be bars because NO ONE can see glass?!???
nope! The ancestors can see it just fine! nobody understands why the skykids cant see it (they can see it) (they just dont pay attention)
Valley elders put a giant glass screen at the end of the race so skids run into it at full speed
Vault elder is not pleased with the new amount of complaints about themā
the valley elders hit it more than any other skykids. they are not the smartest
they would 100% forget itās there
Hypothetically, how do you think the valley elders would react to sky kids melting all the snow (donāt mind the specifics) and flooding their temple in the process
ā¦
Hypothetically
oh they'd be joining in.
Coliseum becomes a massive swimming pool
Wonder whatās hiding under all that ice
can someone send me the sky lore?
I know that the skids would get in massive trouble
if you can catch them
honestly? I think flooding the valley would be a valley twins idea. Theyāre bored being responsible and in charge they wanna cause trouble and do stupid things and also if you melt all the snow itd refreeze into ice and watching all the Ancestors slip and fall every ten seconds would be worth it
Wassup lorechat
Hello! Im sharing my silly goofy headcanons
Poor older ancestors
Their backs
ty
i got an actually serious headcanon for moths- i think when a skykid first falls to the world and wakes up, they get about... thirty seconds, give or take, before they actually start thinking. Just enough time to take in their surroundings and accept the fact that They Exist so they don't freak out when they open their eyes!
by extension, i think that instead of being all tired when they wake up like humans do, skykids will briefly enter that "no thoughts head empty" state when they wake up in the morning. its very funny because when theyāre like this you can basically hand them anything and they'll accept it
Hand sky kid the wasteland elder:
Sky kid: hold
Wasteland elder: is hold
pffffffft....
What is the limit of things sky kids can actually pick up??
They can handle crabs literally half their size and carry each other
But they also need help lifting that door in vault
Do you think realistically one COULD pick up the wasteland elder
related to this- skykids have these unspoken rules for dealing with moths! essentially, you do not interact with a moth until they interact with someone first. The moth always has to make first contact- Not because of any superstitions or anything, but because everyone remembers being a fresh lil mothlet and they all know that you really don't wanna have to deal with people before youve started to wonder what you are and why you're here.
however. once the moth interacts with even just one other skykid, the rules are off. they know theyre not alone. you can get silly goofy with them now.
The exceptions to this are if 1: the moth is in danger (in which case you help them because why wouldn't you), or 2: if the moth is still asleep when you find them (in which case if you wanna you can sit with them until they wake up so their first memory can be a friendly face :D)
Iād break that unspoken Rule everydayā
āLook- a childā
s t e a l s
you gotta be really gentle and patient in the latter case tho. thats a whole person who literally knows nothing. moths are like a whole seperate beast to skykids sometimes. theyre confused, reckless, sometimes terrified. if you're gonna be there for them from the start you have to be there for them or else it's genuinely better to just leave them to their own devices
Theyāre about to know the secrets of the universeā
If the wasteland elder was attached to a pulley system, it would probably take just two
Just wanted to comment on the new constellation design for the crown and how much it looks like what the sky kids would draw for the king
Constellation shapes are all just scribbles sky kids made and the elders said āokā
Yeah I saw that too before the updateā in the vault elder cutscene we get the shots of the constellations revealing their full meaning and thatās great and all, but then we get the shot of a crown that looks oddly like the āfavorite friendsā constellation.
Made me wonder what would happen when you filled it up and then maxed out friendship with everyone on there, but itās probably nothing.
Worth noting, though.

Same constellation as...
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassiopeia_(constellation)
[Cassiopea] was forced to wheel around theĀ North Celestial PoleĀ on her throne [as a punishment], spending half of her time clinging to it so she does not fall off [...]
Interesting that the myth involves someone in power falling
Theory time: The rain from forest starts as soon as the child enters the forest, what if that rain comes from the forest elder crying, missing their friends?
Aww
Just remembering how forest mama snatches that light
what going on in here
oh well lorechat dead imma just post a smol theory i have gimmie a sec
Itās been 30 minutes this theory isnāt smol
Semi knows that Iāll just find a moth, determine what language they speak, and then tell them the entirety of Sky lore in their language
Screamā
Everyone nearby just hears frantic and non-stop honking from a sky kid
But seriously, Iāve got moth raising down to a science. Let me tell you a tidbit: the very first thing you should ask when meeting any moth is āWhat language do you speakā
Fair enough
That is a very good idea. I adopted a moth and neither of us have a language in common
Wait, hold up. I'm currently watching the elders in Eden and I'm seeing a diamond shaped pattern on their clothing. What??
this
Yeah, skids have chest lights, ancestors have chest lights, and elders have chest lights. Everyone has chest lights.
Ancestors having chest lights seems to be a maybe, but itās very likely that they do. Like, itās a 90% chance, but still disprovable.
They might be shown in season introduction cards (although they could be interpreted as those spirit stars they have in their chests) and the kid in the switch trailer has one (although itās a somewhat common idea that that was the king so maybe not an ancestor). I believe they do, itās just not easily confirmahle as a 100% considering theyāre all Dead
Note that itās spirits who have chest lights in-game and in illustrations. Living ancestors may not have them.
Hi Lore chat, how do we feel about this little blurb I thought of:
What if the six realms each have a piece of Eden, in the sense that each realm prepares you for Eden in its own way?
Isle foreshadows the way forward
Forest is your first encounter with danger
Wasteland has krill, of course
We could refine it, but how does it seem so far?
Considering half the realms are missing? Kinda flimsy tbh
THIS GAME HAS LORE???
i think it's interesting! like the whole journey prepares you for eden
yeah! it's not really mentioned much in the game itself and mostly up for fan interpretation but there is definitely lore! i suggest looking at the pins in this channel to find out more if you're interested :)
Shockingly enough, yes! /lh
I do think the whole journey prepares you for Eden, but I wouldnāt say that a piece of Eden exists in each realm, especially not Valley. Itās almost more of a standard gameplay mechanic. Isle teaches you basic controls, Prairie teaches you flight, Forest teaches you water, Valley teaches you precision, Wasteland teaches you reflexes and about darkness, and Vault teaches you⦠idk, that things are not always as they seem? But I donāt think that means thereās a piece of Eden in each realm.
My same reaction the first time I saw this channel
Vault brings everything together at the end before the final push. (but it loses the punch that kind of area has because this game tells us basically nothing and has us making up 97% of the story ourselves)
I agree! But sometimes I like to think that the Eden King subtly guides us to them throughout the realms. The entire āfollow the lightā is the same as the āreach the lightā in pnr and we ultimately do reach it after orbit, which is where Iād assume we meet the King (I headcannon that once they meet us like how we meet all the other elders in the end of the realmā¦they just erase it from our memory so we donāt grow close to them)
true that
Yeah the "piece of Eden" thing was bad wording on my part
I don't really know how to explain it, but likeā¦every realm, or the Elder of every realm kinda adds a little bit to the foreshadowing of what's to come. I'm not clear on how that happens because I just thought of this todayā¦
But like
All 6 realms combined = Eden was how I thought of it originally
speaking of what lore we have, anyone else agree that those concept arts have a bit of weight in the Sky world?
Those are brilliant btw
I take everything with a grain of salt
yup
Random but what if all the animals we find also like spirits/ghosts and that's why even there are plenty of fossils the animals are translucent and don't appear to have bones
hmmm, don't think so. aside from being called Light creatures, that turtle in sanctuary islands look very alive to me, you know what I mean? like, it's the only animal that involves the old world
True true
But then what do all those gigantic fossils scattered around the maps mean? Are they the fossils of Krill?
according to Zhao's concept art, light creatures only leave bones if they died an unnatural death. the Eden calamity is thought to have been a mass extinction event. make of that what you will.
Lore
speaking of, is anyone here from when they played the game in 2018-2019??
Do you mean in pre-live beta, or post global launch Live? As Sky launched midway into 2019.
maybe? because my sister just found a treasure trove of lore from someone in tumblr, and BOI were we fed with good stuff
OMGH linkk
I don't think it's bad if it's just concept art or something, it may just be triggering an auto filter from the bot.
I haven't seen the post you're referring to though, I just remember there was concept art shared by PurpleAlmonds before!
(I'm not on tumblr so I only see what is shared here.
)
Oh the elder bodies in Eden? That was beta shortly, like extremely shortly, from what I've heard. As in, just a few days, and it was OOB. I think there are post from the moderator Mirian with photos here in this discord.
Yes! Elder bodies and others that 'died' at the point blank explosion me thinks
Here's the eden elder OOB images! Right here in this very channel.
Here is a video as well!
Still tho. This was some good stuff despite. We were literally vibeating from the exposure
Vault was supposed to teach you about the past civilization of Sky, but it was scrapped
Here were the PurpleAlmonds posts I mentioned, I managed to find them: https://purplealmonds.tumblr.com/post/678726905570213888/early-character-concept-work-for-sky-children-of
https://purplealmonds.tumblr.com/post/678640084984184832/finally-got-around-to-getting-permission-to-share
https://purplealmonds.tumblr.com/post/678998700042928128/environment-concepts-for-sky-children-of-the
Remember that those are old and discarded concepts in the case of the eden elder oob, etcetera, so we may not know why those areas were removed from the game. However it does showcase that there is in fact a story to be uncovered!
yeah!! when i first found out about it, it broke my brain. i'm very interested in pre-release/light awaits/cut content i have a whole playlist dedicated to it on youtube :)
BAHAHAHAAAAAA
Why, yes, terrain, this game has lore. Would you like to learn about it?
@calm jayI'll be deleting the post you sent, as well as a few messages about this. If you know something is hacked, please don't share it
Edit: I tagged them because of the link, but this goes to everyone that was involved in the discussion
A few other links that refer to the same post have been filtered for a reason. It's very disrespectful to speculate upon content that isn't legitimately shared
understood, sorry.
With that said, if anyone has any questions about the old Eden explosion OOB, feel free to ask!
Hello! I have a genuine question :0!
Is there anyone who could give me the docs of the basic lore of sky? I would love to find out at least the basic stuff so I can come up a story for my sky oc

Hello! I assumed you came from Sad-ists video?
In any case, welcome to lorechat! The documents posted above could help you, but there are 4 basic facts that we know.
||There was a figure who became the Elder of the Eye of Eden.
They were permanently destroyed and cannot be saved in any way.
This Elder is responsible for the destruction found in Eden.
Light creatures were abused to make power diamonds, which are powerful batteries that store and transmit light.||
AKSKDKD GAHAHAH kind of! I honestly havenāt been paying so much attention to the lore and started playing around⦠2 months ago? I would say! I just wanted to get my facts straight about the lore but thank you two so much!! This would really help me for my sky oc :D
i came back after eating, what did I miss?
A new animatic from a popular YouTuber came, and already google trends for Sky is spiking
Hold on sad-ist made a sky animatic?
who
Animatic maker, well known in mcyt circles
Yes, they did. Itās exciting because itāll hopefully draw more people to lorechat
Itāll draw more people to the game
Itāll draw more people to both
same!!! just finished watching it!!!
prepare for the moths folks
I dont like moths TwT
oh gosh you're right XD
Theyāre rough and course and irritating and they get everywhere
/j
I dont do anything to them - but i dont like leading them around TwT
Goodnight! Have a great sneep ^^
We are Grim Reaperās? And the wings are souls we have to take to heaven and leave our humans bodyās disguise behind to deliver the souls and be sent in a new āreborn humanā known as human disguise to deliver more souls?
not grim reapers āĀ skykids aren't killing folk. better said, they're psychopomps, entities who help souls of the dead move on to the afterlife. spirits are dead ancestors, they've been petrified in the world by darkness. skykids use their own light to free the spirits and shepherd them to Elder temples, who ascend them.
why did I just remember this as I go to bed?? anyway, does anyone want the height comparison to Sky kid(chibi) with the Elders???
Thank goodness- i was getting concerned
what??
Sorry i forgot to reply- my message was regarding the messages above yours

I'll just put this under spoiler tag but it's safe. have fun I go to sleep now
Idk why I thought Wasteland was the tallest
Actually yeah......
the Prairie Elder's height is probably incorrect but otherwise these were the calculations done by someone here in early lorechat
aside from Vault Elder, the Elders are huge and the skids are teeny
Yeah they huge in comparison. Even the average spirit is much taller. Imo though Prairie wasn't larger than the other Elders and if he was... Not by that massive gap. Almost twice as high as Forest in that graphic lol
Isnt there an oob area where all the elders can be seen to refrence their heights?
Yes but due to the placement of their models, it wouldnāt be accurate to just look at them all from one angle
I rlly like the idea of skykids being baby elders bc imagine vault elder looking at how tiny we are, sighing, and being like āyou too?ā
Isn't there one drawing in one of sky Livestream where they draw prarie elder standing carrying a lot of sky kid on their back?
Its on different angle too
this
this triangle pattern tho
That triangle pattern is EVERYWHERE. Ancestors be like I love the triamgle
Somewhere in Zhaoās concept art he states that the šŗ represents how the ancestors couldnāt fly thus āgrounded.ā Let me see if I can find it
Bottom text
Objects associated with the ancestors weighted at the bottom to show they are grounded beings who are incapable of natural flight
Wait a minute. The Diamond inside Diamond symbol is outside the valley elder temple if thatās not a triangle /weighted on the bottomā¦, did that mean they could fly?.
Maybe the Valley Elder(s) could fly utilizing cyan light.
Oh, consider their old cutscene ā they did fly in a way
The Valley elders flying would definitely fit their chaotic vibe
Itās inside the wasteland temple as well iirc and outside the door to vault
Ok consider. Wasteland elder using orange light to work like hot air balloon
Peak funny
Oh hey would you look at that: https://youtu.be/pkdCC26thq8
consider: the Valley Elder(s) can fly, but they have to coordinate to it. they cannot fly.
Iād have a higher chance of flying then The Valley Elders
i found another
At this point itās a question of where are there not triangle and diamond symbols
...Where manta symbols are
The eyes are diamond shaped
You know that meme about flying by standing on each otherās hands progressively higher into the sky? Thatās how they fly
stacking
From what I can remember, the frantic stagehands dress is the first time we get clothes with a spirit diamond on them! Donāt know if thatās improtant or not
It's noteworthy... I think
don't all the abyss spirits' capes have diamonds on them? or we talking about different diamonds?
No I mean like the diamond symbol on spirit shawls
i think this is what salem is talking about?
No,ā¦! Go up look on th e chest right near our chest light.wait Iāll do it
Misremembered the diamond, but we finally got the shawl which is cute :-)
There are a Lot of spirits with head coverings/hoods in some form. I wonder if it was a religious/culture thing in their world too and not just a fashion thing?? Hmm
something I like is that both fem- and masc-appearing spirits have head coverings
Yeahhhh !
Oh this is AMAZING. I love it, the bird feeder idea killed me
I wonder if any of the spirits have nicknames for us in their heads. Like Car Alarm (because we always honk) Little Dude, so on
leaving a candle cake for the flocks of skykids in my backyard
Imagine ancestors doing that for mantas/other light creatures, then one day they wake up and there are like 7 children asleep in the candle cake instead
spirit: tending their candle garden
skykids: fire fire fire fire fire
Hey so I'm pretty new to the whole lore thing and I'm trying to gather info on the season of prophecy right now, i noticed on the walls there's little drawings of the elders + the child of prophecy, but the only elder not there is forest elder and isle elder. I was wondering if anyone has any theories on why they aren't on the walls, or am i digging too deep?
Isle Elder is there. and I'm pretty sure it depicts Forest Elder getting blue light
Ah darn really? Thanks for clarifying that.
I once saw an artist doing a bunch of skykids like different animals and now I'm thinking in those visiting people's gardens but some ancestors hate em because they get inside the house and eat their candles
i remembered hearing earlier that the king statues in wasteland were turrets and this huge statue on the wasteland temple has a cannon-like pipe on it. what was its purpose? i assume they were built before the corruption because it's not active and targeting krill (alternatively, i wonder why they were deactivated?)
āWHO GAVE THIS CHILD A RABBIT MASK?? THEY WONT STOP EATING MY VEGETABLES. I TRIED TO PUT UP A FENCE AND THEY MANIFESTED A TABLE OUT OF NOWHERE AND PHASED THRIUGH ITā
Perhaps because golden wasteland wouldve been a vast space. This structure could be like a beacon. to guide the people of wasteland to their state city.
a beacon would be aiming upward though
My guess is that they arenāt still functional just because the inner light/whateverās powering it (prophecy mural suggests orange light) has faded over time. Like they ran out of batteries
Maybe the ones putting wind walls are the ancestors who don't want skykids messing around
Would a lighthouse work or just it being some kind of landmark work?
Probably not a lighthouse ā there arenāt any near the ocean where having a lighthouse would matter. Landmarks I guess, but the way theyāre placed ā especially around the temple ā seem to imply that they were used as defense weapons, like theyāre guarding something
only thing after the Wasteland Elder's temple is the Vault and Eden
A Vault full of Knowledge could be something to protect esp forbidden knowledge stuff
I can see both areas as being Wxtremely worthy of guarding. Even just the wasteland temple would qualify for that amount of defensive stuff
well a bunch of nerds and your holyland are worth defending
Maybe the power that was used for our supposed mechanism was powered down so that it could be distributed among the opening of the huge gate and the vault door?
if you consider the two shields theory and a war of some sort with wasteland as the battleground, maybe some enemy was trying to get through the temple and vault to eden to take out the king?
Messing around with the possible idea that the wasteland elder wasnāt really a regional ruler like the others if that makes sense? but just the leader of the army and their temple is just in front of the places most Worth guarding
There are a few reasons behind this. First is that the soldier spirits imply an army Did exist and it would be weird for each realm to have an army separate from each other. Second is that fhe valleu temple being at the End of the city makes sense for gameplay, but not for if youāre actually living in the city (youād think itād be at the center). Third is that wasteland just seems super empty compared to everywhere else like⦠what was all fhaf space used for ??
Does that propose a civil war?
Ok because that is what I thought as well
My thought is that the entire realm itself is a massive military base. I feel like the kingdom had a tendency to overuse material, such as the power of light
I believe that most of the things made in wasteland post apocalypse may have degraded over time or buried by sand. Even then i think that it the was a largely vast space used mainly for mining and trading among the more poorer of the sky kigdom.
I get that idea just based on his cutscene. He seems more like a defender of the city rather than a ruler
I was thinking a general which got pushed to the temple area as a final defence of the vault.
His behaviour in the cutscene couldve been grief, but that does make sense. Im still confused on who the so called ācommander of chiefā of the royal armed forces in the kingdom were (it highly likely wouldāve been the king, who bestowed instructions and secondary duties to the gw elder)
So gw elder would have definitely been the defender, not necessarily commander
they are vaults bodyguard
:O oh my god that is a very interesting concept ! I have never heard of that
He very much has that determined Knight vibe so I could see that
I knew vault would have some dirty secrets and betraying truths and if they were revealed that would spur more tension than there already was before
Consider: vault is the one who has the dirty secrets (blackmail) on everyone else
Yeah
"the quiet ones are the most dangerous"
Yea i dont trust the elder (disregard my nickname)
Traitor /j
Vault Elder also couldāve been involved in experiments that were not liked by the whole kingdom
Iām trying to figure out how to explain the blackmail elevator joke
Conspiring with the king- a loyal minion š
YEAHHHHH my theory is she worked with the king
Same headcanon
You read their notes and itās just titled āHow To Make Catpeople Real? Uses and loopholes of purple lightā
DO WE SHARE THE SAME BRAINCELL OR SMTHN
We already got furries (Forest Elder)
NO WONDER I ALWAYS HAVE ONLY HALF
Ok consider. If vault is older than Forest⦠if vault was involved in the catpeople experiments⦠what if forest is the result
jail
the little containers in vault are like. memories and information, right? and i recall reading somewhere that vault was closed off to most of the public for the longest time. maybe there was some intel that needed protecting. i believe vault is actually behind wasteland, not just as a gameplay mechanic like every realm is a straight line. in the picture i shared earlier, there's kind of a large brick wall behind the temple (either that or it's the temple itself - i couldn't see it properly)
I will help you with that
Ayo this got cursed
Maybe like the Starlight Desert!
Yeah from what im seeing this kingdom is just a heap of secrets and lies.
This turned dark really quickly........
corrupt elders? government conspiracy? š
Itās a cute game itās the law it needs to have a dark background/hj
I havenāt heard that the Vault was exclusive, but people prob had to be big brained or loyal to Vault Elder to even be involved
SO TRUE !!
light creatures arenāt real. Theyāre government drones made by prairie elder to spy on us
King and Vault conspiring using chemicals, Wasteland elder blackmailed into protection
Of course, this too
Wait wait I'm pretty sure that in game the two lock door in vault is described as being a place for hidden knowledge
NOOO WOOLY MANTAS ARE NOT SPYING DEVICES
Prairie Elder donāt need birds and butterflies, human agents will do
They can hide spying cameras under their wool.
i do remember hearing vault was blocked off, i'll have to find the source real quick
The birds and butterflies are the diversion. Everyone THINKS theyāre the issue. They donāt expect flight guide
Since the king worked with two different elders with different purposes id see that wasteland and vault elders would be on extremely bad terms by now
OH NO- im personally hurt by this, i will never trust a wooly manta again
I mean, they were together in the Vault cutscene. They seemed to have enough compassion to bow to us instead of screaming at each other
Theyāve prob got over their gripes and grudges since everyone died
Of course, vault was like a teachers pet and wasteland was forced into doing something he knew would end in failure. Wasteland told isle about all this and isle began preparing for skykids to descend from megabird.
We are their savior, they have to have at least a shred of respect.
Not that they had much to begin with anyway.
LITERALLY !
EGG š„ XACTLY

Ā« The new area (Archive) was a highly restricted area. No one should enter. Ā»
Ā« As the restricted area decayed over time, an entrance appeared. There are knowledge/projection lanterns, sealed inside the large cubes. Ā»
this is what i was talking abt!!
Krills are assassination devices created by the Wasteland Elder, of course
eh i didnt like em anyways š . @sharp shore ISLE COULDVE PLAYED ALONG WITHH THE KING BUT WAS ACTUALLY A DOUBLE AGENT FOR MEGABIRB
MMMMM perhaps ???? Can i hear ur theory ?
Thatās where they keep the fanfictions (and popcorn machines)
no wonder itās restricted
from personal experience people go violent over popcorn
Thatās talking about the restricted archives. We donāt know if the rest of the information in the Vault was treated the same way.
restricted archives? is that not vault?
No like that new season area from season of belonging
Ok you know the space behind the two player door on the first floor? Thatās the archives. Everything else is not the archives and is just vault
huh. did not know that
Yes this is the excerpt I remember reading
the theory still stand though - there is intel in vault that no one was supposed to see, maybe someone was after it
As for elder personality headcanons I really like the idea that none of them are particularly evil, theu jusr did what they thought they had to do to survive + personalities conflicting (I donāt know how to explain this. I am sorry) and everything just slowly crumbled bc of the conflict
Yeah, but parts of my respect is gone for them
I think they did what they thought was best for their people but... Well its obvious what they were doing drowned everything in darkness in the end
Yea thats why i lost part of my respect for them
King want to break down original system where ancestors living peacefully with pilgrimage to megabirb. King conspire with ( basically the villain from sonic but not crazy ) vault elder. Vault agrees because they never get to do nothing interesting around here. Vault regrets that eventually but cant stop due to kings influence. King conspire more power, ends in realms being hurt. Wasteland was forced into it due to blackmail by vault elder. hATRED. Wasteland elder however proceeds to tell isle about king's plan. Isle becomes double agent for megabirb. Megabirb decides that a backup plan in case things go wrong. Skykid creation. Isle begins work on history of realms to put in cave paintings. Forest begins to get hurt by the cruel way trees are treated in her realm behing her back, cut down for king's wild plans. Prairie elder is oblivious. Valley twins are concerned but do not think anything of it.King begins to realise faults. Builds the ark/ Explosion. Isle is preparing to leave and pave the way for soon-to-arrive skYkIdS. they know their going to go soon. Everybody except wasteland and vault does the same. Vault suffers in agony, evenntually succumbing. Wasteland elder was forced to fight till last breath. SHOOT- this isnt all the tiny details included just a little TwT
VILLAIN FROM SONIC AHAHAGIWVSUUAKWIWHWU
But i see that. So isle elder is the underdog?
Yep š¤ ⨠This is just the outline because my hands suffer
This was the coliseum before Dreams
I AM THE EGGMAN AADDGGHKLAFHFJDJHDD
Woah cool
that's interesting, i can definitely see isle elder working with and wanting to save the megabird
. @harsh pecan
Thank you! ^^
so, according to this,
and Resh are the bad guys?
Yeh
They are, but eventually they realised that they did wrong. But then it becomes too late. Like those dramatic last scene movies
Donāt compare Vault Elderās headscarf to an egg, itās disrespect to people who wear headscarves
Sorry ill take it down
Was gonna say that but slowmode
perhaps the people the archives were tying to hide intel from were the same who destroyed wasteland in order to get to the vault
That was me Sorry /j
Is there a page somewhere that has the full murals from Prophecy? I was wanting to study them in closer detail
I feel that saying good or bad in Sky is kinda pointless, because it doesn't seem like anyone, misguided as they may be, have bad intentions per se.
Comparing Light and Darkness makes more sense to meā darkness hurt us because skykids are light beings, but darkness also contains flames that feed us
And likewise, maybe Darkness creatures attack us because light damages them- consider crabs getting turned for example
There are burrowed tunnels that made it into the archives. What they were looking for, we donāt know.
As for what happened to Wasteland, Iād say environmental degredation caused a lot of it. See all the pipes and polluted water everywhere
I sort of thought that Skykids are a bit of both light and dark. Their bodies are dark where as their hair is white and they emit light. Full light creatures seem to be primarily white gold but skykids are not.
what if the people who made those tunnels took advantage of the pollution to get into the vault??
i also noticed that the walls of the archives were broken into
I agree with the first part of this message, but Iām not sure Light is inherently good in the sky universe and the reverse is true for darkness. Aside from being an almost stereotypical way of looking at things, just from in game evidence I donāt know if itās true.
Thereās another theory Iām turning over and around in my brain, that the fall of the kingdom wasnāt caused by going awau from the Light but leaning too heavily into it as opposed to appreciating its balance with darkness. Like religious dogmatism, almost. Iām not 100% sure about it yet but⦠itās a really interesting idea to me
i feel like the white kid we hug as the dark one in eden kinda represents light and dark combining to make skykid
spoiler or no
I have a similar feeling. There needs to be a balance between light and dark; too much of either is bad
Yes I agree with this. Too much light could also be a problem cuz then everything could burn or cause blindness and other problems I can't think of on top of my head
The problem wasnāt the presence of darkness, it was the ancestors relying on power diamonds too heavily that darkness fell out of balance, taking the opportunity to consume and devastate.
Many theories say that the white figure is the king himself, but thats the good theory too
I agree that they seem more like neutral forces to me! But the abuse of one or the other threw the imbalance in Eden, contamination of Forest and Wastelands, and the apparition of monsters like krills or the Leviathan.
That's my opinion at least
Sky kingdom if they learnt how to use solar energy:/j
I think this is why Skykids exist. They are a balance between the two and in theory could restore things to a healthy state again if there was actually progress being made to fix things (hard to do in a game thatvrelies on the repeated process of redoing the levels tho)
Floor:kids of the future
The best examples of areas we balance, imo, are Sanctuary and Forgotten Ark. There's light and darkness in both, but overall peaceful places
I have Posted about my ideas on how darkness works here a lot I think, and it always ends up existentially horrifying and bordering on cosmic horror. I think itās really interesting how the kingdom had to kickstart the darkness corruption instead of it being a conscious decision on the darknessās part⦠just imagining light as representing life, energy, etc and darkness as the absence of everything makes it terrifying fast
Skykids probably are doing a bit to save the world from darkness. Theyāre not an efficient measure, but they are freeing petrified spirits, melting darkness plants ā perhaps their very presence as beings of light populating the world drives back the darkness enough that, say, the storm weakens and new areas are unveiled by the reducing cloud coverage.
That is actually a cool theory for why areas are revealed more and more. We are dissipating the storm ever so slowly
Darkness does consume light, so darkness isnāt good for light and light beings. With too much darkness around, creatures corrupt, spirits petrify, and the land wastes. As beings of light, thatās terrifying.
For the other side, is never mentioned in Sky, but overpopulation is a real issue because the living resources end up in unbalance if not straight up over.
A healthy mix keeps light around but not so much that everything burns and dies
oh that is a great theory i hadn't even considered - without darkness, light would have no meaning. they are two halves of a whole; you can't have light without darkness. too much light and you will not have the complete cycle of life, everything will exist in a standstill, a limbo. things will not die and return to the megabird to be rebirthed and breathe life into the world. too much darkness and the world will become corrupt, sprouting creatures who were birthed from darkness, rather than light. the world needed the balance of light and dark, and currently darkness overthrows the light, distorting the world. skykids are a possible solution to this problem; bringing new light to the world to save it from the darkness.
Iām almost wondering If darkness is like⦠a metaphor for permanent death almost. Itās bleak, itās terrifying, and itās inescapable. It takes someone and you never see them again. Itās something humans have struggled with for practically our entire existence and have actively fought against.
On the other hand, death is extremely important for our world to function. Just like darkness.
I think we'll have more insight of the function of darkness if TGC ever decides to reveal how krills corrupted and what creature were they originally
Overpopulation isnāt as much of an issue as resource scarcity is, which, yes, overpopulation can contribute too, but generally not as much as its hyped to be
Another possibility is that darkness is just the waste or fossilization of what light was, the remnant so to speak
Extract too much light, only darkness is left behind
Oh, I'm speaking more in terms of nature (too much herbivores animals and few carnivores) rather than comparison with humans were it's more complex
The cycle of life and stuff
another way the light was thrown off balance was probably when king started to extract light from light creatures (abyss)
after finding out that light was running out he turned to the many light creatures
For some reason I have it in my head that krills are skids whoāve lost their way, falling into the darkness and mutating into feral monsters over time. Idk where that thought came from though
My other thought is that if krill=elephant, then whatever light creature krills were supposed to be=woolly mammoth. The thought of a super fluffy krill-shaped thing is very funny to me. All the skids would probably be afk napping on them
Just to add a different perspective, what if the sky world, before the elders, had the dark creatures? Like there was already a civilization/order until the elders came.
i silenced the chat once more
The bobbit has been unleashed, nevermind
there was a theory that stated that there were more beings like megabirb, in fact around 7 alltogether with equivalent power ( i think, but this may be incorrect ). Elders came about when megabirb made them. Maybe before it was only the 7 megabirb like creatures ^^
imo this is what the elders roles are in the whole light business
isle-ascends skykids and spirits
daylight-makes pots(?)and boats for transport to forest etc
forest-creation of darkstone(?) using light, uses boats from prairie to transport to (most likely)vault
valley-generally just competition stuff, idk what their deal is
wasteland-defending vault from whatever it is trying to break in
vault-creation of lanterns,hidden intel
Krill are confirmed corrupted light creatures
https://www.thatskygame.com/news/sky-2nd-anniversary-livestream-recap
"time will tell" ooooooo i'm excited, i hope there's another loredump season soon
Imagine a season where we return the krills to their original forms
Iām gonna hold out hope for the Sky version of woolly mammoths
Yea we still donāt know what krill used to be. Given their in-game name is Dark Dragons, perhaps they were once Light Dragons. Another thought was that theyāre the corrupted version of the mosaic eel swimming around Treasure Reef.
A lot thought Abyss would give insight into darkness corruption... then it didnāt.
What if the knowledge we experience in vault is false? Like fake? Because not all wisdom that we encounter doesn't mean is true. And this sentence is confirmed, after the meditation we find out that Vault was an illusion. What if there is knowledge that's restricted from sky kids and only accessible to the elders?
the seven were probably
-light whale thing seen in forest underground and on easy to wastes
-king krill, probably corrupted by darkness,my theory is that king extracted so much light from the massive creature that is corrupted n turned into that
i can tell if megabird is one of the seven or if it took on more of a king role
If so, then why is the final level in vault shown in the Performance screen
Perhaps one of them were scholars, which is how they were able to make the effects
another thing is how do the spirits know what eden looks like
Iām not putting my skin in the āis Vault realā debate anymore but even if what we see in the Vault isnāt true to reality, that doesnāt mean what Vault Elder (mightāve) told us isnāt true.
Perhaps it was common knowledge passed down to their ancestors and to their descendants?
Or some ancestors lived after the Eden calamity
maybe vault is just one big hologram projected from the lanterns weāve seen, maybe as a warning for future generations
THIS. This is what I want to know. Maybe they wander around and saw that itād been corrupted?
I believe that eden used to be a temple ^^ which spirits made a pilgrimage to-
Just to add a dark element:
What if the spirits, the civilization they had stopped creating more descendants? What if they wanted to end their suffering and ascend to another being to join the elders?
yeah cos in the eden screen thereās a big big thing that i donāt think is currently there?
I feel like it was a capital city at first, I mean the 7 Elders did create the place so why wouldn't it be a capital city?
Eden sort of reminds me of Mt. Olympus
i think the possibility that ancestors survived after the corruption of eden is very possible - maybe death wasn't instantaneous after whatever happened. the backdrops in the season of performance show eden in an already corrupted state, i don't think it was made after the spirits died
From spirit memories, most dont seem that discontented with their lives.... @jovial nacelle Its quite a hard place to get to and it seems to have a chapel-style to it ( the bit before orbit )
Probably not. Unless ghosts can hold paintbrushes, which would be kinda funny ngl
cos in this pic thereās some stuff floating under the diamond that iām pretty sure isnāt there rn
I bet they're going to add something like the Sistine Chapel
Thereās no evidence that Eden was created by the elders, and honestly looking around it doesnāt look like it used to be a city. Thereās not enough buildings/ruins scattered around, it just looks so empty. Iām kind of confused why the take on it being a city is so common, I donāt really get it
Sky-chealangelo

Eden is very city-like, you can say it seems partially more advanced, I can even say the same to Wasteland
Perhaps that's how they depicted it. If I were to imagine it in their shoes, they were confused and had no idea what was happening. They most likely assumed that beam of light was a Power Diamond
The weird part to me isnāt the stuff floating under it ā itās still there, just above the diamond. You see it after you die and are flying up to orbit. The thing I immediately noticed is the diamond being floating and bright yellow instead of red and on the ground
my take on eden is that it used to be a temple, but more and more factories (pipe)popped up as the king got obsessed with the megadiamond
I assumed that Eden was pretty much the same as Wasteland but with an inverted colour scheme
Ohh yeah, the King, he may be the main cause of its downfallā¦
ā¦where are the ruins of the buildings that either ācityā used to be filled with? Theyāre both so empty. Genuinely confused at this point, I just canāt see it
They probably can interact with the tangible world. Look at Abyss ā those spirits carried around power diamonds
Speaking of the King, we got an actual crown constellation with the friend star update. Just saying
Probably hidden under the sand, we've only been observing the surface. So, how about the underground?
Well it is very city-like in the orbit section kinda sorta so maybe they mean that?
Wasteland is kinda⦠ruined to be fair. Itās a very low hint but the pipes and all, they kinda remind me of slums
Also just a fun thought: Can I just bet they use power diamonds as grenades?
i can definitely see arguments for both sides of eden being a city. as we currently see it, the castle in orbit is pretty barren. then again, we only see part of the castle, the set path to our ascent. this is also the castle after ruin, so it's very possible it looked different before corruption. there are several buildings much like the ones in valley (which was a big city) seen in the castle. for now, it's hard to really come to a conclusion on what eden is, given how little information we have š
in that case kings thought process was:
āi will build a giant grenade in the center of the world!this definitely wonāt backfireBOOMā
(We didnāt start the fire starts playing)
the result:
it cracked open and began shooting a beam, tearing a hole in the stratosphere, literally connecting land and space to a woman in the sky singing inside a ball of light
Dang thatās true.. all we can do is pay attention to the little detail we have right now.
I'm betting the next season will have spirits that have a different perspective to sky kids, instead of casually interacting with them like people, they hate the sky kids.
Like: UgH sky kidS. JERRY GET THE KRILL AND CRAB.
probably a season in vault,in which all the scholars have found out about the skykids creation and think weāre there to foil kings plan,,,whatever that may be
AW! Man that seems cool, spirits that despise the sky kids š
gestures to Abyss
We had to gain their trust first.
instead of teaching us, they reject us.
yeah but like, hate hate. Like as in you want a sky kid to drink Wasteland water soup by force
We learn a variety of no emotes
Commodore saw us and went āANOTHER KID??????? THIS CANT BE REALā
āYou pesky little creatures canāt even fly straight. You know nothing of this world and whatever you are planning, itās not gonna work.ā
(just living their life)

Oh heck no. JERRY THERES A MOTH IN THE HOUSE

JERRY NOW THERES TWO OF THEM
"What's with those outfits? They're so tacky, Gucci can do better."
āman i just want ur capeā
WAHAHAHA
Jeez thatāll be so fun, and the emotes will be pretty cool. Just pure on hate
season of hatred
the quests are to hunt down each spirit and forcefully take their fit
hair?yank it off
Sky becomes a horror game, corrupted spirits trying to get you
or:
"You know, if you never came to this world we would've lived peacefully a long time ago."
It kinda contrasts the belief of the scholars and us sky kids. Itās kinda like the generation gap ya know?
I personally thought Sky kids were a reaction to the fall of their civilization because of the Eden statues, but since pointing candlemakers new memories show a Sky kid falling from the sky I donāt know
probably scholars in vault being fed minsinformation on skykids from king cos the creation of them may threaten his plan so he spun a tale on how skykids are ruining the peaceful future that king promised
*the hungry for pants skids trying to get the spirits
It's like DMC1, it's an horror game except you're the scary thing
What would it be like if Sky became a horror game tho?
Perhaps forest could use some of the old concept where's it's maze like
This is answered in fire trial
Not another maze with weird fluffy wormies š
Oh and a tribal elder as the boss, ok time to imagine:
Imagine a horde of bodies, some were torn in half which made them crawl towards you. THey were covered in darkstone, their eyes were cold and heartless. The leader behind them trudged with their staff in hand, chanting something. But you somehow knew they were blaming you for something.
i speedrun fire trial everyday
i require a new challenge
cant stop that candle grind
don't ruin my peaceful forest runs š
Ok I just meant having to avoid spirits like you avoid krill, but you can actually save them. It just takes some good timing
Nah nah how would we be able to turn Prairie into a horror place tho
that skykid is thought to be Chosen One depicted in the Cave of Prophecy murals who completed the Trials, who might've become prince/king. they might've been on the only skykid or a proto-skykid that existed during the ancestors' era
i wish we could save krills :(
Easy. Corrupt the moths there
A new theory:
What if the king created sky kids from the purest light, the king wanted the sky kids to power the diamonds infinitely. We were basically infinite light generators. But the problem was, we were sentient and had emotions. So the King declared that the civilization must "deceive" and "act" to keep the sky kids in bay because we had the power to destroy cities. So, they began to trick us, some had genuine love, some acted, some hated them.
Moths everywhere all trying to befriend you, running after you as well
ive been dating the forgotten ark krill for almost a month now š š
There's already dark plants growing in Prairie, oh and to make it more creepier. A animated corpse of the Prairie Elder. More bigger, more scarier, more corrupted.
The krill just wants to be petted
It's been very lonely for them :(
i can't do that because i get krilled when i touch him š
Just imagine the aninmated corpse of the prairie elder, walking towards you while sobbing painfuly
TGC should add a Krill petting mini game as an Easter egg or something
They're kinda cute if you ignore that they're terrifying
Another reason the spirits might be afraid of skykids: we come from The Light(?) / the stars above. We live and die and become reborn. We have power all our own. We can swim and walk and fly. Spirits couldnāt fly without magic or tools. Sky kids are like the ambassadors between the Light creatures and Spirits (Orbit) and spirits could have feared what they didnāt understand about Sky kids
that's why skykids are cute and friendly rather than resembling biblically accurate angels
And the fact they consider light to be the greatest power, since we are beings of pure light It's understandable why they're afraid.
biblically accurate angels as sky kids
yes omg
Seraphim 9-winged cape when

be not afraid
-moth running up with candle
Tbf the biblical angels that actually interacted with humans looked mostly like humans, the creepy ones always remain at Yahweh's side and never interact with people
At least afaik

Skids glowing like how you glow in the prophecy trials and while heading up to orbit, busting into vault and yelling at the scholars BE NOT AFRAID

Biblically accurate skykids??
FINALLY WE GETTING ON GOOD DISCUSSION FELLAS
Honking news:
A sky kid breaks into the Vault and ends up blinding half the scholars.
was Christian and read Bible, God really did send the nonhumanoid angels to do stuff
Thereās a reason the standard greeting was BE NOT AFRAID
Imagine the blessings, just booping the human with their... eyes.
The suspect is currently wearing Prophecy halo mask, Afro hair, white cape tier 2, and manta jumpsuit pants. Sky News will return after this commercial break.
Vault Elder was forced to make 20 pairs of glasses that night
another variation of biblically accurate sky kids
šļø
š
As far as im understood the biblically accurate ones are known as seraphins, the highest ranking angels in heaven (ofc, not above god) they rarely interacted with humankind, that job being to archangels (ones that looked like humans)
I was also Christian but also evangelist and evangelists love skipping the interesting parts
MIKE WAZOWSKI
Also whatās with all of the new faces here? I see five non-regulars and thatās pretty rare
OH NO-
i just haven't been hire a while, mainly because i was hibernating.
I lurk in here sometimes
are there regulars here? @novel marten i have spotted you many times
i've been in here for a few days now but im very new to lorechat. i've been in the discord since assembly but i dont post in the other channels
i've been here since gratitude
I usually post more in cozy lol, Iām sorta new to lore chat
Well you see a certain yter made a sky animatic of š lore š
ofc i've been here since dreams
Megabird: screw it, go talk to them
Biblically accurate skykid: BĘ Å ĆŤ ĆFÅĆĆÄ
vault scholars: this is the most horrifying moment in my life
usually not here due to small brain
Im a Cozy skykid too- @placid compass I sit here and watch on with awe at people with braincells XD
That wasnāt even lore that was just the experience of sky itself
DSMP animation for sky dropped. Not too keen on the content creators themselves but new faces are always welcome !
Wasnāt it like⦠he sent them Once and then switched to humanoid ones? I canāt fully remember
Ah yes, serious lore discussion, we totally aint memeing on biblically accurate skykids
if you think about it, biblically accurate angels were easy to defeat. Just blind them and poke their eyes.
Oh no I know who sad-ist is, I watched the animation it was sick
moth blinds everyone 2022
huh, vault elder looks like a finger
nah God kept sending the freaky angels
Glow spells are now banned in vault-
when you wear a white cape in prairie
That is, if you can look at them to throw and aim properly. Most humans couldnāt even bear to look
Bro when you wear a white cape in home
The sentence be not afraid makes a lot of sense tbh
I'm a bit busy this weekend but I will be back soon for lore
I saw it āĀ wasn't even DSMP related. just about Sky. it was so cool
equivalent of wearing white cape in homespace with morning lighting and glow spell
Sad-ist also did hollow knight stuff!
Remember when everyone came back from Water Trial with the glow spell still on? Like that
I haven't read the bible in years (I have my reasons not to) but I'm sure the bible only ever mentions the creepy angels when describing them in Revelations and one Old Testament book that I don't remember the name of
But basically I remember that those angels basically only appeared in heaven and in visions/dream, the less freaky angels were the ones who actually acted as messengers as far as I remember
angel 1: "uh god, can i ask you something?
god: "yeah sure."
angel 1: "why do you keep sending those eye wing dudes in earth, i mean. we look like a human so it makes sense-"
god: "how else do you think they're going to believe they're angels?"
angel 1: "i dunno, our halo or smthing"
god: "you have a point but if we send you down there you'll be accused of witchcraft."
Prophecy guide: oh no there's more of them
To be fair. If ANY angel, no matter how humanoid, showed up out of the blue to tell me I was having gods baby I would panic. Terrifying anatomy is likely irrelevant here
they're multiplying
gonna talk with water prophet about this-
I think in some of the Major/Minor prophets in the Old Testament thereās also some mention of angels, because of all the visions the prophets see. But I donāt remember very well. Most of it is in Revelation though because thatās the End Times and all
like:
breaks into house.
hi, we'd like to inform you that you now bear god's child. uhh, we won't pay for child support. just raise the kid k?
Leaves
That's a good point honestly.
"I'm literally gonna get stoned to death for this! I'm not married!"
"Idk woman god said it's your problem"
Angel refuses to elaborate any further
Visible panic
Prophecy becomes a lot funnier if you imagine the guide as being constantly suspicious of us being secretl the king at all times and making us do the trials to prove weāre not
Prophecy Guide be like: click all the pictures of traffic lights and prove youāre not a robot
2 seconds after: HUH-
THE TRIALS REALLU ARE JUST CAPTCHA TESTS.
How it started:
Skykid pointing at mural of glowing child on the wall is that me? :3
Prophecy guide: No ā hmmmā¦. Wait a minuteā¦
In order to proceed to the website, prove you're a real sky kid by lighting all the candles
I want to make sure youāre not faking anything. Just run some tests for me, ok?
(sweats nervously)
Isnāt the actual point of captcha tests to catch you if you do them too well? The comparison writes itself
ā¦what does prophecy guide think about trial speed runners
this suggests that the king sucked at the trials
Tbf, we are really powerful. We can teleport to safety, while itās likely theat the ancestors didnāt
Go ahead otherwise you wont get the special hug from the prophecy guide at the top of the task tree-
i like how the prophecy guides didn't even care if we were children. they fr just sent us to a pocket dimension that restarts our life each time we fail.
I was trying to say that they were REALLY good at them and the guide would get suspicious if we did them too well, but this alternate interpretation is funnier
Hyd I swear this is just normal prophecy lore donāt worry we are not crazy
And they get rid of your cape like āback in MY day we didnāt have capes and we walked uphill in the air trial without any handouts or warpsā
What i try and explain to my friend after i go on an accidental lore rant-
like what did they advertise?-
"the trials, your kid may not survive. we also don't take full responsibility if your child has gone through the following:
emotional trauma
trauma
disappeared
vanished
no longer can see
injuries
And etc.
we also don't pay for child support."
Sky lore will either drive you mad or make you sad and we're witnessing the former rn
I'm a bit late but Prairie is already a horror place for my eyes. So bright I can't see. Just amp up the bloom and it becomes a "Can you see the monster through this BLINDING LIGHT"
the king, a grown person choked up sobbing because he can't make it past the first bit of water in the water trial:
some child, skipping across the water: hee hoo waeter :)
emotional trauma
Water Trial is how one of my Sky OCs got a severe phobia of water
oh and if your child does survive- there's- PRESSURE thank you thats all
Thereās no way prophecy guide DIDNT get suspicious when another glowing child showed up out of nowhere and immediately completed all the trials with ease. That scenario has like a 100% success rate of ending badly from their experience
please don't be shy, go ahead and try
there's no impending doom ^^-
just like:
oh a child that can fly, wears a cape and can change clothes at will. hmmmm this isn't totally suspicious. ok get inside one of the pocket dimensions and survive.
WAIT I just realized. Forest elder has the water light. Amander hates water. How will this be exploited?
So thatās why the king went to Eden
the king corrupts the world out of spite because they got a little damp in the trial
you didnt like water- have fire ^^
Massive cat energy. I approve
LOL imagine the elders at a young age in water trial
Prairie: running for his life while protecting his creatures
isle: using magic
forest: hammer
valleys: fighting while somehow succeeding
wasteland: shield surfing
vault: meditation.
I just discovered the roles and this was hidden behind the Lore role xD.
valley twins just run ^^
I remember being that moth dude. I still suck at the trials
unfortunately, you are not allowed to bypass the filter
This but itās the king
One veteran- ran me through them all and i never did them for another year
And Iāve been playing since october 2021 I am not a new player anymore
You are in my eyes. Get in baby jail
Thatās just cause youāre Old/j
I'll one up you ā August 2021
I AM NOT OLD I AM A NORMAL AGE.
- senior citizen
(Laughs in Lightseekers)
Toddler jail
laughs in gratitude
Iāll concede and admit that I am not a veteran but by this point Iām far from a moth
i've been playing for a year now i'm definitely not a moth. don't think i'll be a veteran until an assembly spirit arrives as a ts
old status is when a spirit from your moth season finally arrives as TS
Oh itāll be a while before a flight spirit shows up so Iām not old yet
hm
Same lmao
since there were no cows in sky (just assuming), how did they get milk? well my friends, a good question y'all didn't ask. they got milk from the whales.
Looking forward to the little Prince TS i want their entire outfits other than the king guy
This makes me sad cuz I'm a flight moth but missed all the cosmetics cuz it was the last week TnT
Those arenāt the only mammals in Sky⦠>:)
ok, how does the little prince run faster than us or walk faster than us when we, as literal war machines, manage to run slower than him
insert reference to Wavemania here<
THOSE WHO KNOW, KNOW
The lp capes are meh but the hair styles are š¤ cant wait for the ts that was my moth season
I joined early on, itās ok! That just means you graduated from mothhood in Abyss
same, king guy is horrifying except the crown, and even then i donāt think iād wear it
dev admitted that mantas can be milked
Take it back /j
TLP capes are hilarious, have you seen what TLP moths looked like
come to think of it, sky kids are literal gods. Like, anything they learn they can do it in a instant. So they can fight the king
Iām gonna go to bed, goodnight! Donāt burn forest!
oh yes i absolutely love the shameful dude's hair
I love the usage of the word āadmittedā⦠like mantas being milkable was top secret classified info before this point and is akin to a criminal activity
They are cool but they all kinda look the same a little bit
as a TLP moth, stop making me feel bad /j
WHERE ???
š„ š š„š„
ok
what is TLP
The little prince
WHAT (CROSSOVER SEASON BETWEEN SKY AND THE LITTLE PRINCE)
I donāt know. Itās this weird fanmade season people keep talking about.
I thought it was a dev who said this? that's what I heard.
pls homie I joined last Thanksgiving
ITS OKAY ORION (WELCOME TO LORRCHAT)
Yeah I trust you but where is it said, I wanna see
lmao y'all can call me mars, I forgot to change my name oops
seems like something that would be said in Skycord
It's in the dropdown menu for the Server where it says edit server profile
Oh sorry I thought you were asking where the option was x'D I might have misread
I canāt find it in the server search so I must conclude⦠mantas being milked was a conspiracy all along to distract us from their true purpose⦠and perhaps to lie to us about what creature the milk came from all along
Anyways I think crabs are filled with milk. Whoās with me
tlp gets a lot of hate in the community and i understand where people are coming from in terms of cosmetics and story-wise but it was the first and only season to feature a quest in eden, which is kinda huge to me. i assume the season is supposed to be taken as not canon because it's a collab season w a copyrighted character
let's not bring "is TLP canon" discorse back please
I thought the little prince was cute
we held his hand and everything
i have the special talent of responding to topics when the conversation has already ended
moving from tlp, what is the fanon/concept name for the old man in isle of dawn again
Yeah tlp was and is one of my fav seasons the quests were so cute and fun
TLP WAS a good season and Iām tired of pretending it wasnāt. Cosmetics arenāt all that make up a season
TLP gets a lot of hate? From where? Itās held to high regard
Geezer?
daleth
alternatively: peepaw
Daleth is fanon, Dawn is maybe canon
thanks lol
edit: geezer im dying /lh
Iāll even say that cosmetics are the least important part of a season. The gameplay, location, and story are far more important
each time i see the abbreviation tlp, i can't help but think of my little pony.
nooooo..
idk My first time hearing it was disliked. I think those were my favorite quests to complete during my moth discover all the maps phase
watch as TGC makes it the most important part of the season
I 100% agree, and I am so tired of the last three aspects being flat out ignored by the fanbase in favor of the first
ngl i like tlp. whether it is canon or not, you cannot deny the moral of the story, and the pretty place that's great for photos
Someone bring the fire extinguisher cause that was a sick burn
that was unintended
I like to think of TLP as a season that might not entirely canon, but that doesn't meant you can't have hints in there.
Concept art has each of the spirits here associated with a realm !
Important question. If the flight spirits tried to beat up the abyss crew and give them a bath, what would they do with the assembly spirits? Put food out for them like stray cats? Iāve been pondering this all day
give them warm blankets made of wooly manta wool
just imagine sweet little bird whisperer grabbing a yowling cannoneer
Ok you know those plastic cat houses you can put on your porch for stray cats. One of those but cadet sleeps in it
flight guide would drop kick the canoneer
everyone would dropkick cannoneer, let's be real here
then treat them to a bunch of goodies because this generation likes to go "he's so skrunkly i want to set him on fire and squash him my little meow meow"
i am this generation
i feel like cosmetics were the original intent of seasons - the first few seasons didn't have quests. but over time, the story and gameplay became the focus. the newer seasons with more story-driven quests and interactive spirits show that tgc is putting way more into seasons than just cosmetics, and that shouldn't be overlooked. i'm late to the conversation again :')
Marching adventurer purrito
cannoneer is a scrimblo. Blorbo from my shows. put them in the plinko machine
Sad-Ist made a king propaganda poster :D
RESH RESH RESH
MR RESH
i've been waiting for this.
The flight spirits ride on the big bird with a large flock of mantas along with them, as soon as they reach the Crystal Cove, Flight guide would dive down with a army of birds, drop-kicking cannoneer unconscious. The Bell maker would start making bery calming bell noises to put the crew into a slumber while Flight Guide absolutely destroys them. Then they start bathing them by placing them into one basket.
Newer seasons have characters with actual personality. Compare to this to the (sorry about this) earlier spirits and they blow it out of the water. Just look at every single Assembly spirit, Canonner, or the dark water drinker
He needs to be BIGGER
i feel like the way lorechat keeps bringing up wooly mantas they will be added to the game
#lore-discussion-spoilers definitely needs some SNEEP SNORP
King with the voice of General grievous
With which realms do you suppose theyāre connected?
Its the person who supports the best season to exist
There's a stream out there, I may have gotten a screenshot hang on.
Wait king as in king krill?
Your candle will be a fine addition to my collection
Older seasons ALSO have characters with actual personality, but that personality has been shown more through events (days of blooms & fortune) rather than the original, which is good bc theyāre not just being flat out ifgnored
the king
"You're shorter than I expected." kk gotta go now
I can see WL Valley and Vault
Hot take: the king is/was 3 ft tall. Fight me.
slides this over
its a bit crunchy but basically
ruler - isle
collector - prairie
lamplighter - forest
gloat - valley
soldier - wasteland
geographer - vault
king as in short king
Haha short
king was three feet and constantly on stilts to make themself look taller. gnome-like individual
dark water guy is probably waste
king is well.eden
and i have no clue abt everyone else
Considering the sizes of his statues
He was clearly compensating something
wait wait does anyone have the uh
the mural with the supposed king kneeling on the ground giving light?
i have a headcanon i wanna see
I could see Gloating Narcissist as Valley
Scholar as Vault and Lamplighter as Forest?
wait that's actually really funny. isn't an average skykid like 3 ft. the king is child height #shortking
so i was right on like,,the wasteland front
which one is narc
YES and. Listen. All Iām saying is that it would explain an awful lot if the king was a chibi
built the mega diamond to stand on top of to be tallš
This is borderline king slander brooooš
I think what you mean is in the final cutscene of Vault !
@keen shore has a doc with all the murals in the game so far.
Wow clearly I missed a good stream
king got used as an armrest one too many times and chose violence
Starcollector could be Prairie but that's just cuz there aren't any realms left. If we go with these theory then it's possible the spirits show some of the struggles that led to the downfall of the Kingdom.
Guess where the phrase āshort kingā came from.
love that we're all dunking on the king. get him
Yes exactly. Go for the ankles
guys guys
if the king is short they will be the one biting our ankles
the king will take your ankles
Then again he probably doesn't even have any ankles to bite
A bit late but if i recall irl manta rays actually produce a sort of "milk" for their young too
Oh I thought they meant the Eden mural of the vault elder cutscene
Relatable. I am vastly approaching this point as well
by the Valley Elder(s) of course
Salem you're so powerful.
tqq
Salem is the mural master
Yeah actually who here is actually super chronically short? I'll go first I'm 4'10
calling resh a manlet and getting banished from the kingdom challenge
"72 pages" that is so much you are a godsend
Thank you. I have not regretted making the mural masterlist once, itās so useful
salem you are a king
better than the anklebiter
Thank you, but Do Not underestimate my desire to bite ankles and commit violence
having kings is what ruined the kingdom in the first place
the king in canon: mysterious, possibly evil, ruler of an entire kingdom
the king as we talk about them: short king, ankle biter, some bratty child
Slander, Someone banish him
I don't see you having 4 mental breakdowns a day cos you're a child put in charge of a whole kingdom
The only king he is is the burger King with his diy cardboard crown
I do wanna point out we don't even see the king in canon, so even how questionable their morality is is unclear.
True. If this situation happened to me I would do something ridiculous and get assassinated like immediately
Yeah child kings in history rarely worked out well
daleth, who is noted as taking care of the prince: i didn't raise you this way
resh, banishing people whenever he wants because he is a child in charge of the whole kingdom: banished
daleth, now demoted to the isle ferryman:
I have a headcanon that Resh bashed in Dawn's mask, in case you were suppose to like them
I have to go now homies, it's almost midnight where I am and that Cannot be good for me so bye, have fun being mean to king!
Only situation in history where the child has grounded the parent
I absolutely love any take on the king where hes just, yknow. A kid! doing kid things. i dont think eden blowing up was entirely his fault i think its more the fault of everyone who let a young child rule an entire civilization
what if the Elders were like... a sterotypical council of advisors that are all vying for the King's favor but also trying to further their own schemes. Hoping Resh would be a good puppet king cuz he fell from the sky and knew next to nothing sorta
i love the takes of the king as a child but at the same time, i personally see the king as growing up while being king. i dont want to delve too much into my headcanons and own personal canon of the story (because there is a lot and it's mainly just headcanons) but in my eyes, alef (the prince) lost their parents (the former rulers of the kingdom) at a very young age and was immediately crowned king. daleth, (isle elder) was a trusted advisor of the crown and raised alef in their place, advising alef and temporarily making some of the decisions (along with other advisors) while alef was growing up. so when alef grows old enough to make their own decisions, they change their name to resh (king) and appoint the elders (now this is completely in my headcanon - elder is a position. it's weird to explain and kinda goes against canon) as leaders of the realms. so by the time eden is corrupted, resh is in their mid 20's maybe? this is all just headcanon though. i like thinking my own thoughts abt the lore :)
I LIKE TO IMAFINE RHEM GROWING UP AS KING ROO IT IS GOOD BUT WOULD STILL BE EQUALLY STRESSFUL
huh. i had to decipher that message
Imagine them growing up like the hollow knight from hk
like originally smol like moth, but due to a bunch of influence, laws, rights to uphold, they grow tall but tall doesnt neccessarily mean stable.
oh my god. I butchered that I am so sorry
it's all good i understand LMAO
imagine ruining an ancient civilization in 20 years woo
Speedrun.
yes speedrun ruin
Personally I think it took a lot longer than 20 years, I just see the elders + king as living a lot longer and having longer/slower lifespans?? Like time would pass differently for them if that makes sense
I can confirm mid-20s is the most evil age.
wouldnāt it be funny if resh was just an evil cat
Most relatable character in Sky
eyes Salem susupiciously
I am an evil cat. What is there to be suspicious about. You know this
pspspsps
BRRRRRRP ?
i like to imagine that the king, being a skykid, literally just didn't grow up. even emotionally, no matter how much they were forced to be "responsible", they never really understood
i think every iteration of the king is really funny.
young person who is only just growing into their responsibility messing with some unknown power and accidentally corrupting the world?
alternatively, some old guy devising some evil scheme that will do nothing positive for them and lock them in eden for the rest of time?
the little gremlin cat-gnome guy that bites ankles and gets so worked up over not being able to do trials that they decide the whole world needs to explode?
any of these could be canon and we wouldn't know it
resh pushed the eden diamond off the countertop
WE could be the king and we wouldnāt know it at this point. Itās hilarious
YES it's so funny
oh my gosh hold on ive never shown off my headcanon design for the king have i
What's funny is that everyone actively avoids the more plausible explanations such as "A good king makes some bad decisions on how to make his kingdom prosper and an accidental nuclear power plant going off destroys everything" in favor of the ridiculous ones
this is the only clear image i have of my headcanon design its from somethin i drew a few days ago. I gave them a tail because they deserve it
imo the king would have the moth hair
yah! i draw moth hair like that actually i ignore the pigtail entirely
i have so many thoughts on the king and the lore i need to write them down eventually but they have been bouncing around in my head for so long.
out of topic, but what are your sky ships? and why?
I actually put a lot of thought in the design- the reason their cloak has so many bangles and tassels was because everyone kinda thought it was really "immature" for their king to be doing skykid things (like flying, the one thing skykids are designed to do) so they put so much stuff on the fancy cloak that itd just either be too heavy to fly with or too easy to get tangled up in
I kinda ship Wasteland and Forest... idk I think they would make a power couple
The Knight and The Blacksmith
we barely know anything about king ,but why does the instrument/prop menu have their symbol?did they like music?we will never know
imagine the king playing a harp
also, that particular menu is more royal looking than all the rest, with golden plating and such
one idea is that the sun symbol isn't necessarily for the king but for the Light/Megabird in general. the king just adopted that symbol for cradibility
personally i don't think too much about ships, but i do have a few. festival spindancer and light whisperer because of spin dancer's ts hints. storyteller and modest dancer because they are so cute together. performance guide and frantic stagehand (this one is new and i can't say anything yet), i can't remember any others rn but there were a few more
It also houses all the props so... I mean lavish decorations and plentiful entertainment are stuff royals likes
forest beats ppl with the hammer
You trying to say Wasteland isn't into that? xD
Some of my Sky ships include
cannoneer/angler (obviously my go to)
storyteller/juggler (ahaha that one twitter art)
narcissist/lamplighter
rhythm/enchantment (the guides i mean)
mellow/performance
postman/yeti
jelly whisp and thrillseeker arent into each other, both gay, and cause chaos on sanctuary island
welcome to the mind of a multishipper ig
sorry still thinking about the previous topic, what do you all think the king looks like? in my mind, the diamond on their head is a helmet/mask and the long robe is concealing their form. i imagine they have the moth hair and the old eden crown
Imo the long robe hides wings (hehe), they have moth hair and that one early beta accessory that's a crown halo
and the cross on their face would work like childe in his delusion form thingy
edit: also a prosthetic arm
this crown right? this is the same thing i was talking about!!
yes yes the floating crown halo!
or maybe itās slightly more horrific and itās just a circular body with protruding arms
be not afraid
What is that from? That's really cool
Light Awaits promos
has anyone noticed that the manta symbol in forest temple changed to refinery symbol?
Can you provide a screenshot please ( i have no idea what your talking about )
August 2021 - March 2022
i was gonna send one but i couldn't get the pic rn hehe ty vela
I've seen comics of that... the amount of trauma...
Irreversible..as my friend says, you need unsee juice-
i can't even begin to describe where the trauma started.
the new symbols middle diamond part thing is bigger than the normal refinery symbol though, and i wonder if its just a bug or it is painted black
I think its just a design choice tbh-
Pats to you guys

Shipping isā¦no comment, but imaginations can be active
Its deep when you wander into isle ships-
i cleansed my eyes with bleach after the first sentence-
it could be, but idk it looks different than the rest of the symbols and its kinda weird to me
Uh-
Don't look at comics of Elder ships
Got it āļø
Life lesson to learn-
oh dear looks like some other people ended up unfortunately stumbling upon uh...
those
don't be rude
oh no, there's just some really really weird stuff out there
but most of the time it's fine so long as you dont fall down the rabbit hole
funny how shushing scholar used to have an umbrella despite being a vault spirit
Reminds me of the light fountains in that realm, you know, the things you can light up to float on ?
Imagine if Vault had those funky weather controls
Would be useful to make crops grow indoors so they could sustain themselves !
it reminds me of those light waterfalls instead
Ooooo

there is water in the 2 player door area so maybe its for that?
Oh interesting ! I always thought the water was due to pipes being so damaged by time or crabs that they broke.
there are pipes in vault?!
Oh ! I don't think so but I figured maybe they had smaller water pipes, kinda like the bathroom ones.
Yeah, cause the bottom bit of the archives flooded, I always wondered how that happened
what would they need water for in vault anyway
Surviving.....
Running water can be used for a lot of things, from just bathroom utilities to hydraulic power.
for toilet krill :D
ā¦would there be groundwater in Sky?
Could that be it?
It seems like it
same symbol or nah?
The one on the guitar is a fermata (hold in music theory) where you can hold down the note compared to the other instruments.
sorry to disappoint you
:O
ohhh i see thank you for telling me that
Sorry, you mean like a sustained / long note ?
yeah! it's called a fermata
Hey Lorechat, with all the masks and cosmetics lying around
Do you think this big boy sack is a hint from TGC? I really wish we could carry 2-3 props with us in a (smaller than this

but quite possibly! seeing as tgc has been doing the prop bag thing, it's not impossible
Look, it holds a regular piano and panflute plus a firework staff, just to mention what IS visible

I need to be able to carry an instrument and a table. My friends keep playing music while I'm using a table for chibi purposes and it's torture. I want to jam.
Btw, I think that sack is JUST Frantic Stagehand's backpack
Instrument, chat table, and recharge stick for me
Something else occurred to me in Valley today:
Does Valley have two Elders because there are two races there?
One Elder for the sliding race and one for the flying race
In my mind they both race against each other and they "steel" the first place to each other
Kakashi wins Flying
, Dora wins the Skiing
"Oh no, you don't" x2
Dora wins Flying
, Kakashi wins the Skiing
"Oh no, you don't" x2
And so on āæ
Btw I used those funny names to be clear, but I like more the other fanname Sah Mekh (because it reminds the placeholder name for both, Sahmekh, or something like that)
Afterall I don't know which is which, Sah or Mekh š
Imagine looking at one of the elders and literally calling them āDoraā
Wether or not theyād understand is irrelevant I just-
AHA- they are my permanent nicknames for them XD
appears let me be my entire band
Stagehands are STRONG
You guys does sky spirit use book or do they use the flying lantern thingy in the vault to write or readā
Seems like both ! Timid Bookworm is seen reading a book, while Wise Grandparent seems to be browsing through the memory cubes !
the whole weight of each performance are placed on his shoulders
He would have some sort of protection if it had started raining memory lanterns
it lines up so well
I was gonna ask āwhatās up lore chatā but suddenly Iām afraid to ask
Very late addition cause it was 12 am for me when this was said, but I imagine they come back for more food like that video with a herd of cats on the porch.
ayo season of performance and season of lightseekers prolly took place at the same time what does this mean
Thereās a lot of weird timeline things going on. The Eden backdrop is how we see Eden along with the golden wasteland. We know lightseekers are probably a post apocalyptic group, so this opens a theory of possibly the valley didnāt truly fall until years after the Eden explosion.
Or the spirits are genuinly still sticking around and don't just ascend forever and never come back.
Maybe
Those are memories tho, not spirits themselves. Possible the performance memories occurred before but close to the fall, the Eden backdrop painted later
side note but i love how weāve seen twirling champion, cheering spectator, and leaping dancer all hanging out with one of the others in different memories. Petition to let all three of them cause chaos together
I swear to resh if we don't get any spirits whose memories happen during the fall I'm gonna cry and very possibly violence my way into prison
Every time a vault crop growing area gets mentioned, I get so happy. Can you imagine how cool it would be?? Not just for food, but also to chill in considering how indoors vault is. I want it so badly.
Imagining shushing scholar helping tend the plants there has added 5 years to my lifespan
The Eden backdrop was done during Stagehand's career, probably within the lifespan of most spirits here.
Lightseekers and the rest of the spirits involved likely saw the fall of Eden
Might need to update my graph, though I am now almost certain most if not all spirit memories take place within the same period of time.
i thought these would also have eagle ish heads on them like in the stadium but they dont??
Well, seeming how the Valley is well a valley. Most of the place seems unaffected by the explosion. Besides the room where the sparkler parents is found. Plus dreams and the dreams theatre are separated by a lot of mountains. So it is very likely that everyone in the valley watched Eden happen.
Imagine being the yeti spirit and seeing it happen from the tallest part of the mountain
unaffected by the immediate Eden calamity, sure. maybe there were some shock waves if it was an explosion that rocked the terrain and buildings. otherwise, ancestors in Triumph would have the best view of the Eden calamity. maybe they even had telescopes to get a closer view.
but after? how much did the kingdom function internally after that? because due to Triumph's location high up in a mountain range with uneven terrain and snow covering the land, they likely couldn't mass-produce enough food to sustain a city. that and they might've been cut off from the lower kingdom due to the Storm clouds. if some ancestors lived in Valley after Eden fell, it wouldn't be for long.
why is this realm called Valley of Triumph when it's mostly on a mountain? i digress
Maybe they evacuated while there was still a path?
Well some didnāt given there are spirits petrified there
Also for the last bit Alasdair. Itās probably a mountain valley, I have one of those where I live
But yeah, thinking about people in the valley as Eden exploded. The terror the mustāve felt. Seeing this place of great importance to them, exploding right in front of them. Mothers desperately clutching children. They probably tired to carry on life as normal after all the shockwaves were sent out but all the lustre that the Valley had before was very dulled
yea. I don't have the time to go on a tangent about the Golden Valley hypothesis. basically Golden Wasteland and Valley of Triumph used to be considered one place but the industrial deluge and darkness swamped in the lower valleys, turning it into the contemporary Wasteland, while the city in the mountains were basically untouched because of the elevation.
there's a 7 Days of Sky tweet that says there was a Golden Valley planned but I can't track it down and every time I talk about this, someone calls me crazy.
Headcanon. All the city bits of Valley are either past the valley temple gates, or inaccessible before you go through them (like, you have to pass through the gates and circle back along a route accessible from there to get to them). Doesnāt the message below the realm title say ārace down the slopes and the city gates will open to honor youā instead of temple gates?? I tried to test this out but the message Refused to show for me
Hold on alasdair I know what youāre talking about. Let me see if I can find it
Here u go friend. It didnāt state it directly but IMO the implication is fairly obvious
I do hope for an art book
āWhy is the realm called valley of triumph when itās on a mountain?ā
Top 10 questions science still canāt answer to this day

4ļøā£ "Golden Valley is like a downtown of the Sky kingdom. People built a huge city on top of this mountain, using boats to move between places."

u/hollyfae_art: I think it's cute how you guys kept saying "Golden Valley" in the caption [instead] of Valley of Triumph! Was that the original name?u/thatskygame: it's actually the internal name of a specific area in Valley of Triumph!
Salem I love you /platonic
My guess is that the Golden Valley they mean is the area around the end of the race to the end of the temple, but thatās just how Iām understanding what they mean. But I love that GW theory too so
Thank you!!!!! It was pretty easy to find, I remembered it being posted on their Instagram :3 the reason you may not have found it before is because you were only looking on their Twitter ā they may not have included the descriptions there bc of character limit. I will check
also it's hell searching for old tweets
91 weeks ago, oml
Nvm searching for old tweets sucks. I scrolled down too far and crashed my browser
I WAS CORRECT THO. screenshot from wiki
On the topic of watching Eden destroyed what if a lot of these memories happened after the disaster? Like Season pf Dreams... What if all the spirits banded together to give this one little girl a day of being the skating star she never was going to be able to be because the kingdom gone and they are just barely surviving but lets all give this girl her dream however small
That could be the case for a Lot of seasonal memories/events, especially basegwme stuff and seasons like assembly and abyss, but I just canāt see it for dreams personally. Partially because of the lack of effort shown in the season to actually trying to survive but also because the story makes a lot more sense pre disaster.
I can see dreams happening close to Eden though, like a little bit before.
Headcanon: to enter golden valley u have to give the twins a light offering (and maybe defeat them in hockey)
So perhaps the city gates are after the Elder temple, but theyāre covered by the clouds of the Wasteland?
Since thereās a whole dramatic cutscene where you reach the bottom and temple gates open, I was thinking they were synonymous. Like the twins are gatekeepers or something, and most of the city that youād initially see upon first entering is covered by the thick clouds between valley + wasteland
I understand you. I don't think the memories would need to show surviving though for them to have taken place after. Especially if these spirits were relatively safe in the mountains for a time.
In theory Eden may have died suddenly but that doesnt mean the rest of the kingdom did. Darkness could have slowly crept up in all the other areas until the last survivors were frozen
I just noticed this, but the quote āGolden Valley consisted of both rich and poor communities, centered around the theaterāā¦. Hmmm⦠is there a more important/well known theater in valley that we havenāt seen yet? With how small the village one is, I canāt see it being the main one
But it also says "they all enjoyed the race"
golden valley makes me think about the citadel w the huge golden rotating. architecture,,, i dont know how to describe it. maybe it's near there? my first thought was that little bit after the temple though, because it is the bridge between golden wasteland n valley
Would the poorer communities had been at the top of the mountain then? Possible considering the temple and stadium at the bottom. And wealthier people might have gravitated to living near it
āThe theaterā implies they were entertained by the arts of theater
That ignores other, more obvious things theyād need to survive, like food and water. Alasdair explains it a little better here [#lore-discussion-spoilers message]. I just canāt see it. Valley is probably an area that would need trade with other realms to survive, something they probably wouldnāt have access to after the disaster. Especially considering it was a city with a high population, so even if food could be grown there, it would have to be enough to support them
ā¦And? They can enjoy multiple things at the same time. There can be a big fancy theater AND two big fancy races. Iām a little confused by this response
According to Zhaoās concepts, layout wise, the wealthy and working class could both be situated on mountain peaks. The difference between them seem to be buildings (wealthy has floating bits, working class do not and are smaller). So it would not be a matter of elevation but location along the mountain range
So itās likely the citadel held the wealthy people?
Okay, hear me out. What if wasteland is the valley (between the triumph and Eden mountains), not the realm actually LABELED valley of triumph? Like⦠the valley realm is where you slide down to enter it
(Also, would prefer to talk about the whole valley/wasteland city layout thing instead of post apocalypse stuff right now)
Itās why the citadel is separated from the rest, most likely
Yeah I read this earlier. It's what I'm still going off of. Mostly I am in love with the idea of these spirits giving a little girl her moment in the spotlight before they all succumb to darkness. Idk it's all a tragedy but that little shining light of hope is what gets me
Citadel really interests me cos a citadel is more than just a fancy building but a *fortress,ā a stronghold
that commands a city and is used in the control of the inhabitants and in defense during attack or siege.
So even though we got the orreys there implying some astrological studies, itās intended use was military defense. What else has military stuff in it? Contemporary Wasteland.
It might not matter as much in other locations, but I just wanted to say that the building style of Valleyās working-class is also sorta similar to the towers/ruins in Wasteland and buildings in Prairie.
We do see ruined buildings that look like they are stuck mid-fall I the flying race, I'd say that the floating posh buildings ironically got hit the hardest since they not only suffered from shockwaves (could have fragilised what they couldn't destroy outright), but also probably plummeted down some altitude too...
Just saying the ancestors in Valley probably didn't get to pull out the popcorn
IM GLAD YOU MENTIONED THIS BEDAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE IS INTERESTING TO ME??? What the kingdom would have had to defend against.
Let me explain. There doesnāt seem to be much evidence of other outside civilizations that couldnāt be explained away better in some other way (like where the enchantment spirits came from). Invasion is crossed off the list. Dark creatures make sense for wasteland (only partially considering the structure of the battlefield fortress⦠but still) but not for valley. Light creatures suffer from a similar issue, because why would you put a fortress in the sky to defend it from flying creatures. by process of elimination, the only things I could think of that would Need to be defended from are civil wars and/or riots. (Theyāre pretty closely linked in this case, so lumping them together)
And while Iām at it⦠thereās only one other location that has levitating architecture like the wealthy side of Valley. Itās Vault.
||and this kind of archetecture returns in Orbit ascent as well||
If the Eden calamity was an explosion, then the ancestors who saw it prob felt the way citizens in Beiruit, Lebanon did when their port exploded last year. Terrified, scared senseless ā thatās their home
Ok ok, in the movie āCastle in the Skyā the citadel reminds me of the military base. Thereās probably way more under the clouds that I would krill to explore
āYou have floating architecture in your realm so that you can look cool and impressive. I have floating architecture in my realm so I can reach the books on the top shelf. We are not the sameā
It probably speaks wonders about Vault Elder that she was the pinnacle of her realm
Itās also interesting that thereās an Eden portal at the end of the Vault cutscene, because when you go out of bounds you realize that the little room at the end of the elder cutscene is super high above everything else. Access to Eden / Orbit must have been that important
It could be possible there were outside civilizations that no longer exist, whether beaten and absorbed by the kingdom or also didnāt survive the Eden calamity and the resultant apocalypse
Yes. But.
Think about all the walls you see, all the defense fortifications, and so on. There arenāt walls around the cities; Prairie doesnāt have anything built to defend it from an outside attack and neither does Forest, despite how important both are to the survival of the kingdom. The most defended area is the wasteland temple and everything behind it (Vault, Eden) with a second place going to Valleyās citadel.
The unique thing about this that is REALLY INTERESTING to me is that it implies the threat came from within instead of outside. Hence why only the really important bits within the kingdom are defended, and not the entire kingdom itself.
The also interesting bit about this⦠the fact that mostly Wasteland is the battlefront tells me that they didnāt know until it was too late. They didnāt have time to build battlefronts for the other realms, they had to make due.
And perhaps there was something else in Wasteland they needed to defend like power diamonds?
Maybe there was either a civil war, a dark creature invasion, or a combination of the two?
The Citadel can also be seen as evidence of preparation against war, although whether it happened before or during the wasteland war is unknown. Maybe Wasteland did comprise most of the city, but that part got wiped out during the war, and now only the bits of the city on the mountain slopes remain.

Talked about evidence for other types of threats/invasion here, and why only the civil war option makes sense considering the structure of the defensive fortifications. [#lore-discussion-spoilers message]
Single 0 seven
probably to protect the vault- i think they knew that they couldnt survive
This is why Vault needs a canon season area

Starlight desert is canon. Fight me.
I still think itās canon and all but I just think that if Vault had its own dedicated original season that would be epic
I sense a war coming along...........or maybe its just the wind š
but if you dont mind...could i please hear why vault is canon? most people oppose that idea-
The Vault itself? Home portals. Daily quests. Seasonal candles. Wind paths. Donāt forget Performance backgrounds!
