This can be found on the main island
I mean, no reason they can't do it on both places
I just discovered something and yes, I'm sure that this has been discussed before
So, Me and my friend are candle running in Enchantment until I finally paid attention to the drawings.
When I saw this my first thought is that "What if before Nod Spirit lost their final breath they decided to draw these images to warn the future generation?"
Because we can see a krill and a cloud with some lightning, at first I thought the reason why the ark broke is because of the Krill in that place but what if it's because of the storm?
Let's say they did got stuck because of the storm, we went to the crab cave and look at a couple of drawings. This first image shows 3 people carrying a jar, but what's inside that jar? What are they gonna do with it?
This also shows the existence of the crabs, the crabs live in the water source. When we're collecting some Lights in the first area of Wasteland we can see that the crabs are like dropping some particles when they're in the water, what if that's one of the reasons why the water in wasteland got polluted?
This is a long thread- I might as well make a Google doc cause I don't want to do some wall text :')
Wall text is fine
Now that we know the existence of the crabs, in this drawing, we can see that our ancestors are collecting the water after all! We finally know the use of the jar that they're carrying. However, we also know that the crabs live there. Does that mean the water is polluted and they won't be able to drink it? Not even to water the crops?
When they noticed that the crabs exist, it seems like they got scared then ran away from the water. They weren't able to get the water because of 2 reasons.
Like I said it can be either of:
- The crabs are harmful
- The water can be polluted
There's no point in collecting the water anymore if those 2 dangers exist. They're getting a lack of food as well because we can't water the plants or else they'll die. The mushrooms are getting lesser and lesser which we can see in Playfight's memory.
So the cause of the enchantment's death is hunger + dehydration?
Nuh uh, I don't think so
We know that our ancestors had fire and heat sources, so they could have purified the water (not the whole body but the water in jars.)
- They could have died from hunger as you stated since
-Water polluted, soil will also be polluted
-Crops get infected in polluted soil
- Food source dies out
- Possible usage of crabs
-extinction of crabs in area due to no population control or breeding
-our ancestors die out due to above
- The fire source could have ran out, which leads to your theory
Oooh that's would make more sense
True though, what if we assume that the place is a bit windy? Fire always dies because of the wind I think. Who knows that the wind carried some toxins knowing the water is polluted
I see mantas in the drawing too, perhaps they used mantas for a fire/heat source till extinction?
We know that fireflies, our main source of rejuvenation in toxic areas, are used in lamps
So perhaps mantas do the same function?
Oh true! Man if you're thinking about it this timeline is actually sad. Imagine being stuck in a place with limited resources and you know that in the end you won't be able to live any longer.
The creatures you're with will die either way, as the time goes by the place will be completely get fully polluted and toxic and you won't be able to move because there's a krill who's guarding the area
About the krill, I think the krill had only come when the darkness had fully set in and everyone died,
The main reason the ancestors weren't able to leave was because their boat broke down, there weren't any resources nearby to repair it, and thus they got stuck
I have a theory that maybe they were travelling through the wind paths but instead of going to main capital of wasteland (we know they're traders and wasteland has factories here and there so we can assume it was a trading center) but instead arrived accidentally to ark, their boat broke down and they got stuck
the end of the Flight trailer seems to suggest this!
hi, i'm the guy that wrote a few paragraphs of lore back in gen chat
True, because there seems to be a wind path that made the darkness creatures to go inside. Not that we think about it, what if that's the reason why the ark crashed? It's something like a heavy traffic
at the very end tho you can see/ hear some type of lighting/thunder which makes me think that a storm was involved. The wind paths were blocked by dark clouds before the first quest which makes me think something like bad weather was happening. maybe we'll find out where the bad weather came from as the season and quests progess
I swear, if this is connected to the drawing I'm gonna be so shocked
i wonder if there was a krill in the wind paths, this vaguely reminds me of the weird krill in the second to last Little Prince quest, as in a krill where one isnt expecting one?? idk if that makes sense. This could also connect to that cave area of the Sunny Forest and the huge light whale creature we see briefly flying through there edit:( i dont think that the SOLP is connected to the lore tho)
Theory about Flight :
||I feel like the crew of the season of flight once lived in the hidden forest, but because it simply wasn't habitable anymore they embarked on an adventure for a new home. And a new home they found. With islands, grass and sunlight. They all built their own individual little corners to hang around in. And some made amazing inventions, like bells that attract mantas, and boats to travel.
And in the beginning of the game it mentions how the world kinda lost it's light. And what if, because of that, the place would've been sucked of all its energy. And because of that, light whisper and lively navigator couldn't be able to fly anymore. And if they did, they still wouldn't be able to leave their friends. So they were all left to die stranded on that island, because of the lack of mantas, boats, n stuff to be able to escape with.
And the only reason boats work today is because of sky kids.||
This is a theory it's not true
anyways yall I'm gonna go study so have fun ueee
But it's stated that the Flight QG is once an apprentice of the Prairie Elder, what if she's once part of the crew who delivers the materials to the hidden forest for the diamond stone?
I've been thinking that the chimesmith is connected to the sanctuary islands bc of the bell tower (which now has baby mantas hanging around it that weren't there before, similar to the ones that the light whisperer helps) the whole floating islands concept is giving me lots of sanctuary/Praire vibes
both of those are so interesting
Light Whisperer is gotta be at the place where the birds are born in for they know how to take care of the animals. Talented Builder might be working with someone and navigator to guide the delivery ships.
Altogether the group decided to join forces so the transportation will be easier. That's when this theory comes in because they noticed that things are getting difficult and they have to do something so no one will get hurt during the journey
only if I knew about the praire elder thing sooner
the real question is.. how did they die?
Trailer flashbacks
Well that turned dark real quick šš
all their spirits were on that island

thx u soo much
Don't think I can trust the game itself to give me hints on what a map would look like; sliding race has you facing Eden at the start when the mountain is nowhere near the range to be seen like this according to the previous map.
I feel like this is an oversight of the devs, who might have wanted the player to regularly get a sight of the end goal. So Eden as a reference point might be out of the question...
However it would make sense for each temple to have an exit giving you a view on Eden, if the Elders have the same mission as in concepts and their duties involves overlooking the journey of light through their kingdom toward Eden.
It's possible that instead of being arranged like a spiral around Eden like I saw in concept art, the kingdoms are all aligned on one arm of a massive storm.
I... might need a proper map of each realm separately before arranging them together though. This is gonna be long.
Oof I feel for you. Youāre doing godās work
the dev team: yeah the kingdom doesnāt really have a map itās all just concept art lol
@rigid mural:
Anyone can guess what hair is the Flight Guide wearing? My initial guess was Light Miner
but upon closer look it seems more similar to Levitating Adept
Also her boots š rad tho I want those
I think their hair is unique! And I love the boots too, Iām def gonna work to unlock those
Ms Flight my beloved

It's mandatory for me to swoop in and blow several kisses to her now prophecy & enchant QG: welcome home cheater
The hair is in fact the Levitating Adept hair, it just looks a little different at first glance due to the feathers
And I agree, the boots are super cute!
Ohh thank you very much!
These boots are made for walking ⨠ye ol razzle dazzle
Where do our red candles come from?
I do believe itās from the megabird.. not entirely not sure.. ||Iām so bad with lore
||
No I mean like, where do we put them when we're not using them??
h a t
What
h a t
I think the candles are our soul so the little diamond on our chest?
Animation shows us putting it back in our chest when done using it.
Oh I never noticed
Is the place you go after you give up your winged lights in sky like skys version of heaven
It could be however you interpret it.. however, us sky players call it orbit!
Does anyone know what this is?
everytime i go there I ask myself the same question, is it a statue?? and what does it meann
It seems to be sculpted from the snow, but who did it??

and why too
For me, it kinda looks like a statue of a racing manta
In one of the Citadel spirits memories, we see them riding on a manta like a racer. Maybe there was a special breed of mantas for racing?
Kinda like how in the Switch trailer, the giant manta carrying the vehicle has horns (and is possibly what krills used to look like)
It more looks like a bigger bird for me and much shaped like a swallow but manta makes more sense
Yeah it looks like a bird more than a manta
and it looks to me like an offering.. like an altar
I think itās meant to be a reference to the earlier beta-Sky swallow shrine
Oooh is the image in one of the pins?
Same! I always visit her at the SOF realm and spam
Just redid Prophecy so I have more to add to my interpretation of that season's lore. Ok so:
The Prophets practice an old form of scrying magic, and their cave is set just outside the kingdom entrance of Isle cuz their magic wasn't welcome into the New Land (Their masks are of animals not found in Sky, so they must be really old). The murals on the cave walls are the "Prophecy" they were working on.
They foretold that the Sky kingdom would fall, and taught their students how to prevent that. The Trials are exactly what they used to teach this, because the Trials feature flooding (Water), labyrinthine halls (Earth), strong winds (Air), and dark creatures (Fire).
Eventually, when the Skykids were born, the Prophets saw that the skykids would be the ones who could truly harness magic to fix the fall of the Kingdom. Angered by the implication he could fail, Resh cast them out by burying the caves under the clouds.
Unfortunately, the Prophecy was indeed true. Prairie was covered in clouds that separated the realm, Forest flooded, Valley was emptied, Wasteland suffered under war with dark creatures, and Vault became an empty maze.
And above all, Alef and the first skykids climbed Eden and sacrificed themselves to contain the storm.
I was about to ask about prophecy lore but seems you've answered my questions
I mean feel free to ask anyway, this is just my own lore
Hello lore chat, I have a question, are there any theories on who we are? Like, are we the descendants of the spirits (but changed due to evolution or so) or something else? And are there hints in the game for that? I know the come spirit in isle, but not sure how to interprete it... Did it find a kid that was alone on the isle? Did it find a stranger creature (us)? And are there other hints in the game that I don't remember?
Iāve thought that we were the last things created by the Elders, createdso that we could repopulate the Sky kingdom after they died.
Your theory is good, but I notice some gameplay-story discrepancy. If the Skykids could harness elemental magic, why canāt we, even after the Trials were gone?
Hmm, good point
If I were being honest I'd just say it's just a limitation of the game that there isn't already a magic system. There could be some lore explanation though
Iāve thought that since Skykids can respawn after dying in the trials, theyāre basically exempt from it. Spirits get one chance, if they die they die forever.
I used to think that the seasonal memories are just skykids reliving what someone actually did, when the spirits were alive
Flight has me rethinking that though, specifically because the QG says "we've been waiting for someone like you"
Not just flight: Assembly, Prince, Sanctuary, and even Enchantment is mostly set in the present
Well, TLP's relevance to the main canon is dubious to me but I see your point
Enchantment in particular strikes me, though Idk what the quests were like
Even if itās completely irrelevant, I think itās still canon, after all we see a flight path lead to it
I just thought about that too. In Assembly we help the kids live out their dream by helping them build the tree house. To me it felt like the kids had died long ago, but we helped their spirits finish their final task.
About prophecy:
The quests were about finding the coloured lights the questgiver could use to "repair" the area on, in and around the shipwreck after it crashed.
Are we allowed to talk about that here Oh, thanks for the react reply lol
isn't that still under Beta
But yeah, TLP has had me confused since it came out
It's confusing haha. At first I thought the starlight desert was more like a dream, sort of outside the canon, but now that there's a windpath leading to it I'm very confused on how it could fit into the lore
The connection between Enchantment and Prophecy is interesting! However, I think that the Enchantment crew studied under the Prophets in the past, eventually getting trusted enough to acquire the elemental orbs. However, when the ship crashed, the orbs went to their most comfortable place (air orb in the sky, water orb in clouds, etc.)
It's very funny thinking about why the ancients would build a giant lamp and a giant jar, if we think Starlight Desert is fully canon
I always thought that
never directly coincided with the Sky canon, and everything is explained well, so I think itās canon
with the whole āVault being a dreamā idea, itās possible the actual desert is empty without the large structures and resembles the part of the desert we see when heading to eden
That's a very interesting theory! It would make a lot of sense for the enchantment spirits to have studied under the prophets. Prophecy seems like it takes place before the kingdom fell and with Enchantments ark, it seems like it takes place while the darkness is starting to spread. (Or even spreading really quickly, with the krill and all, but I can't tell for sure)
The fact that it's called an Ark (a Biblical reference to a boat meant to preserve life on Earth) does say a lot
So what of the TLP spirits then? Crazy people standing in the middle of nowhere thinking they're doing something?
... Actually that works, given how they're portrayed
To me it seems likely the prophets knew the kingdom would fall at some point and tried to prepare other spirits for it. (Or my other theory is that the Prophecy dudes were Vault scholars but I made that one before Prophecy came out)
Although thereās no confirmed evidence, I thought it funny to headcanon them as supporters of the King, banished for their treachery and slowly driven mad
that Iām not sure, we know that those inside the vault were mostly protected due to the walls, they may have been people who wanted to get inside for refuge but died and I may be going a bit far with that
It could be that the Prophets and the Enchanters both recognized that the kingdom would fall, but did their own thing to help prevent it/mitigate the damage
Personally I think of the Enchanters as being Vault scholars, since they're so close to Vault and Vault and Wasteland are the most directly connected realms
I don't know, SoTLP might have been a dream recorded into a GIANT lantern
That seems very likely too. It's not a weird idea for there to be multiple groups of people throughout different time periods.
Maybe the Prophets came far before the Enchantment spirits and the Enchantment dudes were scholars who found the Prophet's ideas later.
I think we should also consider why a wind path would be there in the first place
It's very clear that part of the Flight spirits' job is to guide manta migration, so the paths are to help the mantas get around. If we look at some of the old concept art, we can see that there's a life cycle for mantas/whales where they migrate up to Eden and then Orbit to join the Megabird
The most convenient explanation for TLP would be something like: the wind path was there for a long time, but when the Little Prince came he magicked everything else into existence
I think "Starlight Desert' back then was near an important delivery spot for Vault or maybe a public-domain library which many ancestors would need to go to which could explain it as well
Hm, just watched the
Trailer
A wind path directly inside the Prophecy cave is very interesting
Actually for that matter, a wind path at the Ark is interesting too
I always thought that the Ark crashed at a random location. Was it happenstance that it was close to a wind path?
Enchantment Guide: We got air-cannoned by a faulty wind path and our ship crashed. THE END.
What if it was a whale randomly crashing into the boat
Nod: Something shot an entire whale at our ship and it crashed. Yeah.
What if Ark crashed before the wind paths came and someone made a path to Ark? To retrieve its cargo or something?
Maybe one of the ancestors (the one with cyan light, associated with air) "dug out' a windpath to the Flight Area because it was an important area with a lot of loot to scavenge and information to use
I mean I always thought the Ark crashed and no one came to save them, so they did their best to start farming to survive but died
True, but that wind path might've come lots of time later, I think... Sky must have some historical development also in the time when it was intact, I think.
I have a weird theory that Team Enchantment was one of the last group of ancestors who somehow survived the storm
One of them knew a prophecy about 6 lights and they gathered those lights in their journey but at some point their ship crashed
Then the one wielding cyan light blasted at the clouds around them and was luckily able to get back to the Flight area
Where they found some stuff, but it didn't last
I don't really think the Enchantment spirits directly caused the Lights to appear, just that they know how to use it to do their magic
Currently reading the Enchantment wiki. The very first quest talks about how "the spirits long for the Red Light". Other words used are "seek", "yearn", "need", "pray", "cry"
Also the "rescuing cargo" argument doesn't make much sense because the wiki says about the final quest, when the spirits ascend into the sky, "Left behind is the cargo of their voyage, their tools, wisdom, and treasures, that which we can use to forge our own spells. The lamps are lit; birds and butterflies now inhabit the once gloomy wreckage. Thanks to you, the ark no longer sits lost in darkness but is now filled with light and life."
Also, cute little parallel I noticed
In Enchantment, the Red Light is found "where darkness prevails" but the spirit uses it to light up their paintings
And in Prophecy, the Fire Trial requires us to "push through the darkness"
In darkness there is light, and in light there is darkness
Yea, I don't think so either.
I think the colored light is scattered around the Sky world, but Enchantment figured out how to concentrate it and use it.
That's a turtle from old beta I think, someone told me
I noticed something with her
Running and running away from those monsters in the dark, in the last part I could notice something.
The image goes for the doubts
Well, I hadn't noticed until now because I hadn't paid more attention to it, but, and if the symbols on the plain and on the island light engravings are "specifically" The winged light, And this symbol is in the cosmetics station, perhaps some of them were created with the winged light?
I don't think they were survivors, I think they died sooner than most spirits, if you pay attention, they are traders, so they must have used wind paths, maybe perhaps they were heading to a trading centre but wind paths diverted them to the deserted area of ark.
We know they had limited resources, so they chose to farm (There is a farm area right under red light) but how could they have farmed when the water was polluted? Based on the paintings, I saw that the crabs polluted the water, so the water could have once been not polluted. But when the water did get polluted, then they had to resort to other sources.
Crab meat could have been their second option, since we see crabs over a bonfire in wasteland. But when crabs ran out, what other resources did they have? None.
The water polluted, they could have thought of another solution, using mantas as heat source to purify water, using that, they could supply water to farmland. But they couldn't. The farmland should've been polluted by now following the pollution of water.
So the darkness set in, with no other resources left, they could've died sooner than most , even without much darkness.
We know they were trapped, so they couldn't have even used other lights, as they were scattered across the realms
You couldn't say they "died", from what you can see on the island of dawn, they have always been spirits, but for some reason, they ended up as statues, very similar statues that we can see in the eye of the Eden.
Actually, we can, based on crying spirit's spirit memories, we see she had friends, but they disappeared one by one, by the climax of the story, she is kneeling and crying near something that look like graves.
Plus the Praying Acolyte of Vault looks to be a caretaker of graves when they were alive
One thing can be natural disasters, which if it could cause them a death, another, could be the disaster of the eye of Eden that apparently was responsible for the disappearance of the entire civilization, and that as we see, left them made of stone
The only difference of them with the statues of the eye of Eden, is that they cannot be returned to their original state with the light of the flame, perhaps because the effects of the eye of Eden are stronger there, or perhaps because the statues of the place are not normal spirits, but children of light, since they can only be saved with winged light
In my terms, eye of Eden's disaster was only a shock death to the people only there in Eden. The rest of the people in different realms could have been affected and died by the seeping darkness, not immediate death.
What if the ark isnāt a random area it was a place for something else
thatās why thereās a dock and the wind paths connect to the ark
Wind Paths connect with many more places across sky
I know Iām directly talking about ark only
It could have just been an accidental path created among the wind paths. Since we know enchantment spirits are traders they could have came through wind paths. The dock could have been for more areas across sky. Also, ark doesn't have a dock, so it would have been deserted
Another question that for now also seems to have no answer: if they all disappeared ..... Where is the king?
There's a theory that the king is one with the storm/creating the storm/is the storm, but just a theory
The dock we see in the game only leads us to the forgotten ark so it was used to go to ark only
It wouldn't make much sense, if it's the king himself summoning the player, it may mean that somewhere he's still alive.
The boat does, not the dock.
The how is not complicated, since we know that he is able to control the elements, but the question is where could he be now? Since nothing of it has been seen, except for the light engravings of the beginning and those of the cave of prophecies
Yes then why you said the dock could have been for more areas across sky
As a trading port, not just for ark.
I have more proof, we see ark is hidden with clouds and cliffs, and guarded by darkness, why would anyone build a port there, our enchantment ancestors must have arrived and crashed there accidentally through wind paths
But isnāt the paths too small for the boat to go through
The ark crashed there due to a storm, is that no one pays attention to the light engravings anymore?
Hmm, but not specifically "The storm", right? I did pay attention to the light paintings.
No, it was apparently "The storm," if not unforeseen weather.
Not everything has to be the fault of the same
It was partially from a krill too?
Yep, I had to put the "after darkness and death= krill came" idea due to the one mural with the krill in it.
Ohhhhh
I think there is something wrong, the Krill seem to be from before the incident, otherwise, there would not be in the beginning the weapons used by the spirits and the golden wasteland elder.
And the ark crashed also before the incident, since seeing the memories of the spirits, we can see that those of the season of the enchantments, have post-accident memories of the ark.
Darkness exists before the explosion. In the switch trailer you can see dark creatures exist so there might be corrupted krills before that
Wait, where in the switch trailer? Also krill on prophecy mural
what is the order of the seasons?
The bell- spider crabs like creature in the forest scene

so Gratitude, Lightseekers, Belonging, Rhythm, Enchantment, Sanctuary, Prophecy, Dreams, Assembly, Little Prince, and now Flight
I feel like I want to write a paper on the plot of each season and how they tie into one another ,, perhaps once this semester ends
Any lore on the coelecanth?
Yeah I meant that sorry my keyboard autocorrect
Whatās your favorite Sky headcanon that doesnāt have evidence but you like anyways? For me, itās that the Diamond Lamed holds in the Vault cutscene was gifted by a very young Resh
Iām somewhat new to sky but: The forest elder being a parental figure to the valley twins, and many theorize that the twins have prosthetic arms so Iād like to think the forest elder made those too
Also light whisper being able to tame the most meanest of birds and mantas that are only chill around themā¦. I feel like Lively Navigator tried to pet one of them and got pecked
The poll isnt lore but the idea of skids sleeping in nest in holes is pretty cute
That Alef had amnesia as some point. Idk why
Not sure if this is the place to ask but does anyone know the story behind the Star Field Memorial (Valley oob)?
Like what it was originally intended to be or anything like that
That Light Whisperer knows how to use colored light (Avatar: The Last Lightbender)
Crab call isn't imitating the spirit like the rest of the calls it's all the pain from every time we have to relive that nightmare of a guide memory.
Teth being a lesbian.
Idk it might be a bug
Alef being tutored by Lamed
I found this in the Chinese server!
An official world map!
I know there totally different game than us but the truth is our world's same
Maybe a spoiler about this season waring! But this pic is public on SNS, I'm wondering if they already put this before?
I hope there will be a more clear one, I checked pins but I feel like I saw this first timeā¦
@rigid mural map reference?
I've seen any maps but this one my first timeā¦if someone already put it I'm sorry that I did it again I'll delete dis soon
No donāt worry itās just I know Vela is making a map so this might be useful. This is the first time Iāve seen this
I'm dumb about lore but this map if full of information that the Dark Water Harbor didn't cause the boom in Eden directly because too far, and if the directions are correct then we actually flew over a big circle to get the gw from the Coliseum
Nice
Wait, so Bault is not inside the mountain
Ask the Daily Missions at night
Suddenly had flashbacks of first encounter with Teth Forest Elder
Thank you, I was thinking too much
Np!
Just remember that beta spoilers are not allowed here, beta stays in beta channels
Yea I'm wondering if the season part didn't show yet in live
But we didn't see any towers in all realms, if vault is not in Eden then where it should be
Terrain height difference?
Bruh I'm getting more confused
I mean, Vault is in front of Eden
I am confusion
Maybe I understood nowā¦sorry
But the entrance of the starlight made me more confused now
Ahh my eyes
I stop
I dumb
WAGHHHH
Found this upon closer introspection, some sort of confirmation that winged light is probably a pure King?
The map just makes me confused cuz it says nothing about the topography

At least it told the location
Seriously I thiny they should make a 3d world mape in game like what the Aviary did, but sadly the Wind Path didn't include thisā¦even made us more confused
The Aviary is nor just beautiful, the most shocking part is the world showing tho it's buggy
Obviously the Wind Path is not high enough
I mean
The fact that Eden is visible from all realms always made me think it was one straight line but now I'm
brain hurt
Ya ya ya that's the point! Old beta wasn't like this, the location of the Eden was always different in every place to show where we are
Eden now is really misleading, So I looked for the rationality of the current design in this map...now I feel like an orc
Say sike
Don't tell me the chinese server got more lore as well as an apparent say in what we players on the regular servers do
At least I didn't found our SNS put this
Man let's skip any Chinese, lore is lore
Even though i feel unfair too
SNS ?
Good for the map but man. I am going to be a salt box for the next few days.
Yea like Chinese twitter
I mean the SNS they using
???
I know it's not the point of this channel, but it feels weird that NetEase is allowed to publish a map before TGC themselves
And IDK if we have this in home
As I checked pins, seems always like this, even the early concept are wrote in Chinese
And this! It was my favorite part
Please don't pull me in jail I just wanna share pics about sky, if it's not allowed I'll delete them soon
Yeah but what's an SNS
Damn, why does China get the good stuff
Also, found the CONCEPT map of Sky if yaāll interested
Why is the cooldown so long
I went to the videos on Twitter, seems we having more informations about Game development and art concepts
Gib please
IDK
Did I bring any chaos? If so I'm sorry
Anyways, here
Oh this! I've seen it times before but still thank you
It's quite different from now on
They really did big changes,I am very worried if they will be able to finish the story completely in the end now
Nothing, I should eat my breakfast at afternoon now, thanks great loree, bye
The only thing could be useful is the new map
Mkay, afternoon to ya(?) and have a nice brunch
They're the biggest whales, you bet TGC would take care of them
Went through the old concept art again
It appears as though Darkstone, the material the Ancients used to power their technology, was supposed to actively drain light. Perhaps the rain in Forest is contaminated by this darkstone, and the Wasteland "water" is actually melted darkstone?
True
I remembered Chinaās lore and Globalās lore are disconnected
Wat
Really??
Aren't they just old and new
So uh, maybe consider the map as fanon
Ye, if you compare Chinaās lore to global, itās very different. I donāt have the doc to Chinaās lore sadly D:
They care about lore!?
What's the difference senpai
Lead me please
Nvm, found it
https://docs.google.com/document/d/107rKIxyCXZxFBaJHxO6hiyW_IRuRbS9iwWJjFLefa_I/edit
Tho I gotta say, China is so spoiled with lore unlike krilling global
Thanks senpai
OMG
Wow
Np
Also, the map doesnāt make sense since Starlight desert is at the right when the entrance to it is at the left-
(Credits to @neat flint for pointing this out lmao)
I'm so confused to become a baka now haha
Seems YUI TANABE drew this
Aaaaaaa, I think they accidentally did that
Ye
But this part should be
This is how we entered I think
Yeah, since itās at the left side
Also, if starlight desert is pretty near to edenā¦WHY DOES EDEN LOOKS SMALL???
Even this happens, so I this make sense in this map I think, if it's Chinese lore
They located the vault wrong ig
Skyās geography is wackier than Skyās logic
It's possible we take a few turns from gw temple to vault, since the transition is fade to black
That's hilarious in an infuriating way.
Is it different in a days of dragon boat way
This suggests that the wing light we hug is the prince-
The highlighted part roughly translates to āthe descendant of light will face the purest spirit of the princeā
Can you translate more ?
What would you like me to translate? :0 (I can read most chinese words btw!)
Wut
Who's self
it pertains to the idea of the prince or void kid as being our inner self, kinda like us being the conscious and the void kid as subconscious. so ourself
What is this?
Some of the concept art talks about light and dark creatures, and describes skykids as hybrids. I interpret this as skykids having a dark body, with a light soul. So the being we meet after we die in Eden is ourselves. When we die, the light and dark get separated. The hugging scene is us reuniting our two halves
Newest world map
Oh
What was going on in the last few seconds of the flight trailer
It would be easy to say "everything" but if you can do Forest and/or Valley I'm interested
Feel free to paraphrase, I know how tiring it is to be precise in translations lol
silly question, has the names been figured out?
Shiratori, Xiaoguang and Mutu.
So far, I figured Shiratori either is referring to the tutorial white bird, or a different bird like creature that produces light.
Also, this is likely old lore given the document was created in September 2019
Boneyard bird statue is functional now.
Also fun detail, this also goes with spirits, but when you recharge near someone/something, it looks like you absorb motes of light from them/it.
Perhaps this is how energy was traded ?
perhaps it is visible light being shared?
We can see light particles falling or being drawn into the dark water as the skykid is losing light.
Skykids also give off a bit of light particles when they are hit by krill/crabs, or charging from fires.
That's actually pretty cool, I noticed this with spirits and light sources but never other players.
Given that we are giving them light, something they need, I wonder how spirits feel about skykids hanging out near them to recharge their light
not sure.
I sometimes wonder if the light is either the energy coming from light itself (like that of the sun and fire), or is it the world's positively charged energy, that includes fire, sunlight, life energy (which the spirits refuse to let go of) and other skykids.
If it is this positive energy, then would the dark energy be what the dark plants feast on along with krill and crabs being made of?
I feel like the dark plants absorbing light mean they feed off that positive energy; burning them up is probably akin to cutting a cactus for water.
Shiratori refers to the Megabird I think, Mutu refers to the golden wasteland
That's old. The function has always been there
Yeah but not it being usable
Not on switch
Possibly, being bias, I digress.
I imagine dark plants are the type of fungi that thrives in darkness.
They are not usually found in places where positive energy takes places unless there is a place that hold a negative energy.
ex. nowhere in the dawn area would dark plants be visible except in the small temple to the right with the butterfly jar and the tunnel under the elder's temple.
Another example may include how vault has no dark plants in the main area, though the starry desert has a giant jar with dark water inside it. there may not be dark water, though the conditions are right for them to start growing there.
The last example of dark plants being attracted to negative energies is during the light miner's memory, one of the injured miners would be covered in dark plants. This might not be what happened in the memory, though it did leave an impact afterwards for the Skykid to see dark plants growing in it place.
Thanks.
Googling the name was not easy as it gave out 'white bird,' 'then swan,' and then' light of the white bird.'
Megabird is a good idea, that and during light awaits, there was a white bird (tutorial bird) that would guide skykids in dawn
Ye, itās pretty old
Prolly outdated so thereās that
oh, I am sure.
While reading it, there are few points that shows the light awaits' plot.
Since the current game moved away from that plot, there will be a few differences. Know what they differences are though does help with new lore to be picked here š
The forest was originally a place for the people to play, but it changed after the darkness came. To protect the light and save their kingdom, the people worked hard in their hopes to get rid of the darkness.
The people liked to play hide and seek. The trees and caves are their favourite hiding spots. Before the darkness struck, the forest was a place of fond memories.
There are some enormous bones in the forest (the fish call bones). Due to the dark and moist environment, dark plants have grown all around it. From the bone structure, the creature was probably from a giant fish species.
The forest was affected (corroded??) badly by the darkness. You can see the destruction in all the ruins (I think this refers to the factory area of the forest). From the ancestorsā memories, we can tell that perhaps an earthquake occurred which destroyed the infrastructure, and the cave (tearful light miner) also collapsed. Some people even got injured. Even though the people are trying their best to rescue/recover, but.....
Thatās why, the ancestorsā memory fragments are sad.

This is interesting ! An earthquake ? We could have seen one in the first area spirit memory in Golden Wastelands, unless it was the sounds of war.
The darkness arriving in forest before technology became destructive of the environment ? Why not ! I'd love to talk to the chinese server's lore folks, sounds like we could trade ideas
Yeah itās pretty cool!! Maybe the earthquake was due to the storm breaking out in eden? And the darkness (like the darkstone and the plants) also absorbs light, so this could cause an imbalance, hence the people are trying to āprotect the lightā
Yeah ! Or the earthquake could have been lived as such because of the GW war ! Although I prefer your theory with the storm causing the earthquake, after all it was strong enough to launch these castle bits in the air.
||all i could say, some of the season of flight future quest might will support this theory||
Jesus christ, stop spoiling the season, the ending is still not live.
Its not spoiling when i didnt say it about it ĀÆ_(ć)_/ĀÆ
Anyway its been a while
That's like replying to a moth going "golly I sure hope we don't die in the end" after they almost got krilled with "oh you're going to like the ending"...
Just tag me in a beta chat.
You want me to play you a lullaby or what?
At the end of the Valley of Triumphās journey lies a forgotten competition grounds. The light of the sunset seems to clearly show the past of the valley. Even though itās beautiful, itās desolate. Here, youāll meet the valley twins. Both of them compete with spears, which seems to show the history of how the kingdom fought against the darkness.
Hmmm this one I beg to disagree with, it is abandoned but it is a city. Pretty far from desolate/empty.
Although they don't wield spears, I do like the idea of the twins having some martial training; some of the Valley spirits do look like they were part of the military (one even is in the slouching soldier's memory).
They did have some kind of stick in their cutscenes at the end of valley, but it doesnāt really look like a spear
Paddles !
Kinda like hockey sticks imo, or that sport whose name I forgot. Lacrosse ? Cricket ?
Iāll explain the last part of the wasteland before I sleep :D
Iād say the first part of it is accurate.
This is where the war between light and darkness took place, where darkness destroyed (corroded?) the kingdom.
The remains of the dark energy, as well as the dark creatures, affected the kingdom till today. Golden Wasteland is like reaching the end of your adult life. The ancestors of the wasteland once were the bravest warriors. Even though they were severely injured, they fought/guarded to the end. They lived at the place of the war between darkness and light, so their hearts were full of terror, unease and misery. But the ancestors were determined to be brave and they worked together to protect the kingdomās light.
During the war, the dark water harbour had many boats. Maybe this was an important place for the soldiers. Some warriors could take the boats to monitor the situation, while others could guard the harbour.
All wasteland ancestors were the sky kingdomās bravest warriors. Because of them, the light of the sky kingdom remains protected till today.
Thank you so much helping with the translations,@hushed steeple !
You are a super star. š
Anytime! Iām glad I could help <3
hm sorry for disturbing your discussions, but I think those text are not an official background of sky but just some hypothesis made up by staff of CN server which is actually not that reliable , the source of this text is often considered as somewhat misleading in China (sorry if my English look strange I am not a native speaker)
Oh yea, they are not officially recognized as bg settings but quite fun tho
Yeah, Chinese lore is quite different to Global serverās lore
Global sky world map when
I am so envious and jealous
during the map what the heck happened to Chinese server's vault
never (/j)
same, like we only get lore crumbs every half a year or smthn
š§ault elder prolly got crabbed when planning where to put Vault lmao
but I'm afraid it might be a bit translationese ((Ā ā¢Ģ„ĢĀ ĖĀ ā¢Ģą„Ā ))
Actually I think Chinese server's official information for sky lore is even less than global server tho, most of them are made by cn server players
But both servers share common values skykingdoms are under the same sky
we have some special collabs and items but yea to a degree desiged for cn server players
Actually, the content inć Six Realms(CAFA GAME ART 2018)ć section should be official, for the early beta version.
Haha sounds like a convention lol for sky residents
i think this fits here pretty well too. so..:
ive constantly been wondering. what happens to sky in 5 to 10+ years? will sky be still as active?
will there come more and more and more seasons and events? will there be insanely many items and cosmetics? will the seasons and events one day come to a stop? what will sky be in the future? will it be an abandoned game not many people play anymore without seasons or events? will tgc put seasons and events on automatic to repeat itself?
maybe when tgc comes to a point they think sky children of the light needs something big and new, would they make a new game?where we still play in the past and see the world be destroyed by darkness? or in the future and rebuild everything?
Ahhh I look back to conversations earlier in this channel and the one about little prince and season of flight seemed to be more trustable as there are interviews to tgc staff and posted by CN server official account
Itās confirmed that Sky 2 will happen if I remembered
They aren't official, but they are interesting ideas we haven't thought of ! Hopefully our side of the lore has some new ideas for the chinese lore enthusiasts in return
@bitter carbon
Would you be able to share some of the lore when they come up?
So that the lore-driven skykids can compare notes?
It may be true this lore doc is about the light awaits lore. (I did not know it was not even official
)
what
yes

source ??? that's a pretty big thing to say
Wait, let me check
what?
omg my discord subscription just ended š noooooooo

Yeah, those are interesting content after all, I'm really shocked that how you guys found it. You guys done a really good work!!!
Sure! I'm happy to share any content that I found in any server.
Not sure if itās true tho, so donāt take it srsly
2029 jajsajssjddjh
OMG HOW DO U SURVIVE WITH DISCORD LIGHT MODE
.........................................................................are you kidding
seems very fake ...
go in the meme chat for that ? i've had enough
@icy spruce sorry to ping, but what server is this from? like u have zero evidence that this is officially confirmed. its only a badly edited picture of the Sky logo with a 2 behind it
sorry friend but if you actually believed that.. youve been dissapointed
she's just trolling us, leave it
Oh, itās in a lore server
And sorry
its ok
Good question, I donāt
True just look at that 10 percent charge⦠poor phone
Donāt worry, itās 100 percent now
Im kinda curious but do the elders have actual names or just like prairie elder or vault elder, same with the king do they have a name to.
Thereās concept names
Isle: Daleth
Prairie: Ayin
Forest: Teth
Valley: Samekh
Wasteland: Tsadi
Vault: Lamed
Where did that new map come from and why is EvErY picTURE oF IT BLURRY?
There are no new areas in the game other than the Flight seasonal area and the area for the upcoming Days of Mischief event. Anything else is likely from illegitimate sources and shouldn't be discussed here
Hello! Iāve been out for awhile and just thought of something. But just Incase, are there any official statements on the biology of a skykid? Or is it overused/ banned? Or could I be in the wrong channel?=I want to have a shot at it but I didnāt do any research.
@proper tapir uhh here I think?
Ooh, I never actually thought of the origin. My headcanon kind of goes with it, can I say it?
Sure ofc
hi, when did the sku game appear on the phone? from what year?
2019 i think
No not map as in area in game the map as in the map of skykingdom I have BEEN SEEING EVERYWHERE
This map makes it less confusing but more confusing-
So basically, a skykid has two main types of...material? that their body is made of. I will call them the base and the form.
The base is the grey part that (Iām pretty sure) all skykids share. This is seen best when your flame has been extinguished. It is the most solid part and does not fade away, and is where a child of the lightās essence is stored.
This essence is what takes the form of a winged light. When a skykid goes to eden, itās base is petrified as itās light is drained. Itās only choice is to take what little light it has left and flee to another land.
The next thing is the form. This is the more complicated one. The form is all the cosmetics. To talk about this, I need to explain how I think skykids are able to use this.
Every skykid has a power called light manipulation. They can move light, concentrate it, make it change shape and color(expressions), and possibly most importantly, give it form.
The process of getting a new cosmetic is just giving a new form. Itās not too complicated, just 3 steps.
1: relive a spiritās memories, and see what form they want to create.
2: fuel it, by getting candle light and turning it into a new essence called hearts, the more detailed it is, the more hearts it will need.
3: shape those hearts into the new form.
Again, just some dumb head cannon and i wanted to write more but Iām also really tired so maybe tomorrow.
Thoughts?

Honking true
I donāt want to think deeply about this map now, they have magics, nothing could be impossible
Passing through orbit last night, and I can't help but notice these statues for the first time. Any ideas whose statue is it?
I only know that this statue are everywhere, lying in Strom and broking in Eden
I could be mistaken, but I think thatās the the elder for vault?
Ok going to sleep bye
Apparently theyāre scholars
Would a sky 2 happen in the future? I vaguely recall reading "Sky is the first chapter"
I feel like if they put in a 'second chapter' it would be some DLC rather than making an entire new game out of it yk?
if Sky 2 could ever happen it'd probably go that way just because of the thousands of players already supporting this game
I missed scrolling all the way up and reading this channel
If thereās sky 2 i hope weāre playing as ancestors pov
A prequel game would've been awesome ngl
Or some sort of advanced sequel where skykids make the place rich and beautiful somehow, the King ascending and all that, and now it's ruled by someone else and new tech becomes suspicious or something
I really want to see the realm being fixed of sorts, skykids being down on books (by someone, not sure) and we play as...not sure much, and then having downfall 2 but live action
Probably might embrace the dark and become "Sky: The adults amongst the darkness" or something
Maybe
:0
Ohh yeah. A sequel would make sense because how long are we going to continuously bring back the spirits to the stars right
There must be a continuation somewhere...
I would absolutely love a prequel or a sequel
WAIT :O
WHAT IF
The new King is basically. Reborn. As the next king and isn't aware of that, is a better king, but has flashbacks to prequel???
I would like to see that mess up a bit on his side, then he meets skykid (who comes there for no apparent reason?) and like. Gets more memories and therefore more lore
tbh, I would love Sky 2 to be the prequel because I want to know how Sky fall or smth
I prefer a sequel that contains prequel contents a lot instead, because I wanna know how it progresses
YEAHHH OR THAT
what if the sequel is like more modern, like skids build a civilization or smthn
Skykingdom of kiddos?
yes
letās hope the country wonāt burn in less than a second
I don't think they'd be able to lead it proper? I think
That place is going to be filled with fire and woods 100% /hj
Ye, I can see the kingdom burning after 1 second
Yes.
Also the props area has a gold plating stuff
I never took it into account until now after seeing that Isle mural as well as Ark
Oooo, wonder why
Probably as a more "personal" gift? I have no idea
Like something that connects them to their memories of sorts, as if they were really important, pretty much like how the 4 (stars?) [Earth, air, water, fire] were important to the prophecy spirits
And in general
Actually found something interesting now
The front part of all the customizable closets have a different outside path
Trying not to flood the channel so here, post link: (up close)
#screenshots-and-videos message
Isn't that just real life?
Pretty much, yes
I have no idea why but 5 reminded me of 5 stages of grief. It doesn't correlate much, just the excess darkness under the hair cosmetics area...reminded me of depressed, the third stage iirc.
Not sure what I could use with that.
Do skykids have blood and does it run through our capes?
What if our capes are shape shifting parasites that in Exchange for flight need to feed on the lost souls? (WL)
Iām sorry but Iāve had this dream twice now so I need to curse yāall with it
But do we have blood????

Hey Lore chat
what we ruminating on today
That's definitely an out there theory
would be an interesting thing for Days of Mischief
In my headcanon, ye skids have light as blood
Have u guys seen this concept art before? Its my first time seeing it
https://www.instagram.com/p/CFAhlv5jGaB/?utm_medium=copy_link
I saw it before
Same
hoowoo fish!
omg fish
when could we have fish in sky
||before that big bird when||
yes fish
Megabirb
Wanted to try making a timeline with pictures, this is the first one I guess
The stars look like they converge or go towards at its chest, which is bit unintentional, but fitting for what this one is for, and exactly lines up with my views about Megabirb
Hey does anyone have any theories on when the events of Season of Flight would be taking place on the timeline? My first theory was that they take place before the powerdiamonds were invented, since they use creatures of light to power their boats instrad of blackstones. But I have read other theories so I'm curious what y'all think
Iirc, someone pointed out that the builder was making a diamond-powered boat in one if its memories. But please correct me if I'm wrong. (Gonna run to check)
The Flight spirits guiding the manta's on their migration seems a bit similar to how the Isle Elder seems to guide the little birds.
If it takes place before the invention of powerdiamonds it makes sense why they use creatures to power their boats. (Their clothing also seems more old?? but idk?)
I literally just popped in here to ask if there was any discussion on how Tom Zhaoās art connects to the lore lol,, glad someone else was thinking this too!
He was part of the development for the game.
The visuals and concept art gives insight to what the lore could be like.
For example, the whale (big fish) has a reference image of an ancient, real life marine animal!
It was known to have its facial bones on the outside, almost like a natural born helmet. :)
Does he not work for tgc anymore? Iām scrolling through his insta rn and this post caught my eye
Migrating souls
The whole idea of lost souls, and the wind paths this season, connections to the ark ! Thereās a bunch of these pointing the way in Sanctuary islands, does that mean that the soSanctuary spirits migrated away from the rest?
I am not sure.
He might have been signed up to do the concept art only during that time.
Either as a commission, a short term contract or a freelance job.
I have honestly, no idea.
These two images too!! Calls the creatures citizens and elders? Weāre they old gods?
I donāt want to keep spamming so Iāll link his website which is full of even more amazing concept art that could fuel the lore of the game
https://www.tomzhao.com/sky1
You are aksing questions, which are fine.
Lets talk about the elder loght creatures
Found this on the first floor (ground floor) , which just kinda proves that the lanterns on the top floors <> lanterns on the bottom floors
The working theory I have is as follows:
The creatures start out small and grow in size over time. As they get older, their bodies start to change.
At some point in their lengthy lives, they becomes elders.
You can see this best with the mantas.
From the pigmy (baby), to small, medium and large. Then their bodies can grow extra pairs of wings and even gain tiny horns at times.
I am not sure how long it takes or how much they can vary.
The top image is whats called either a whale or a big fish

And the bottom is of an elder manta, that can be found in Santuary island.
Looks at pond koi in fear
Personal theory about Assembly backpack and why it has an Assembly logo--the qg had made the backpack out of their own hands and added the assembly logo to every bag they make (only bags). But they realised the mistake and made sure that other area spirits can put their logos in it in order to not steal their hardwork so that's why we have an assembly backpack
(TGC will probably change this anyways maybe so might not be the best, longstanding theory)
I still don't understand what is this creature:

it looks like a big feather from that angle tbh
A giant fish, that's what I gather because role name
So you can make sushi out of it, noted
Improved more of it. I guess this became more than just some random illustration, lol
Sky : The Adult Among Us
I will seek myself out
woah :0
What caused us to be apart from our soul? What in Eden?
Obviously in metaphorical terms, the hug in Eden represents soul and body being at peace with each other, depicted by dark body and light soul. But in a practical sense, was that going inside skykid's body? (And the others being a part of memory minus perhaps Orbit, they all kind of fuse and then our Skykid falling could be how they remember falling. And this happens in Eden because that's where the temporary death happens, and they arrive in home automatically because of their first death and it goes auto for them after, but we see the mental imagery of Skykid as that happens.)
[Note that there's absolutely no proof for this so no need to take it seriously]
Also, could the light and dark, instead, could just be Skykid accepting the darkness of themselves?
Iām sorry but- DUDUDU DUDUDU DU DU DUDUDU
...soon
Man, lore Channel has advanced so much! Iām not as active, sadly
why the term "moth" is canon:
moth means. death
skykids connect to death and rebirth
eden is the 'end goal' and is literally related to a beam of light
moths have and always been canon guys its true/j(perhaps)
What is a moth
There we go
A "moth" is a new player. They have brown wings, they flap around uncontrollably, and they are drawn to flame!
Outdated Meme Tax. Chesca, give me 300 hearts.
Sadly, no. But spirits do
Yep, and maaaybe some ground stuff
remembered this one theory where the skids are actually darkness and light hybrids. darkness being the physcial container and light as their energy (or can be related to blood as to humans probably).
just an idea thats kinda interesting
solidified kids(pure darkness)
the wing flaps (pure light),
Youāre saying that as if you havenāt paid ur 350 hearts fine
They can if they want to. Though dont need to, apparently.
The whale from the whale call, also called a big fish or a whurtle
OOOOO THAT WOULD BE DOPE!
Okay so the semester is finally over and that means I've finally finished my astronomy class! Forgive me if this has already been mentioned before but has anyone noticed the parallels between the life cycle of a sky kid vs the life cycle of an actual star?
What I found especially interesting is that the elements and particles that make up a star come from the remnants of a dead star. When our sky kids collect winged light, that's the equivalent to a star forming its core. My theory is that we're collecting our past lives/the past lives of other sky kids. This also explains the cut scene we get in orbit.
The red giant stage reminds me of the Eye of Eden, and when we ascend into orbit it literally looks like a planetary nebula.
For now though I think we're all just average stars lol. The only thing closest to a black hole is the fire trial šš§
KNEW IT
SOUL MIGRATION IS STILL A THING
Did it changed or was it just me not going to Eden for weeks
I feel like Sky Kids donāt actually need to eat but subsist on light itself. However much like they learn emotes from the Ancestorās spirits, they can ācopyā other attributes like when using any of the tea set items. They arenāt actually drinking tea; theyāre just pretending because itās what theyāve seen via the Ancestors and around the environment. Itās another aspect that I think ties in with them thematically being ākidsā as well. Theyāre mimicking the āadults.ā
The Ancestors however likely did eat, drink, etc. Skykids seem to be a direct imitation of what young Ancestors looked like (as seen in the Switch trailer) so their tendency to copy and almost play pretend makes a lot of sense.
Thatās also what I think the calls are. The calls arenāt just the exact same sound that the animals make, they are an attempt to copy them either learned through observing the creatures or learning through the Ancestor spirits. Sort of like how you teach babies and small kids all the different simplified sounds that animals make, and how theyāll likely learn that a monkey goes āoo-oo-ah-ahā instead of [insert perfect imitation of horrifying monkey screeching].
def will be teaching my future kids the latter though just for the comedy of it
Ok, I have a theory. As we know, before ||orbit|| Eden has ||The Elderās Room|| and as far as we know now, there are 6 realms (Iām excluding the āEye of Edenā because itās considered the final level of sky) in sky. As you fly up to ||orbit|| you can see ||The Elderās Room|| from a far distance as you progress through the stages. You wonder why eden doesnāt have its own separate āElder Altarā as the other realms do. What if there was a corrupted edler of the storm? A complete amalgamation of all the other elders but a more scary and evil version of them? What if the other elders are pieces of the dark elderās soul that were created by the dark elder but those pieces were restored back to health by a healer spirit?
The mimicking and sky kids in general can be interpreted as an autistic metaphor
Yes!! So true!! And I love that so much. Especially with the new stance, while somewhat cliche, I stand like that all the time and it makes me feel especially seen lmao.
You mean echolalia ? Yeah I can see that, but echolalia is not found only in autism.
Though I do tend to be a bit reticent with associating childlike creatures with autists, feels patronizing to them...
As one, I personally enjoy it, but I can see if others donāt! But yeah, echolalia and autism aside, repeating things heard is also a very normal part of childhood development in pretty much any case. Kids of all kinds replicate the adults in their life naturally.
I think it can be a parallel between childhood and newborn societies; both seek to adapt to their environment and are learning machines.
In terms of the autistic coding, for me itās more in the sense where when I look at my sky kid in the newest stance or in a funky sitting position and I think āwow, mood.ā Also spamming the calls that I like the sound of to myself.
I mean yeah but that might be because you control a highly customizable character š
Oh for sure. Thatās ultimately why I think that whatever created the Skids, be it Megabird or the King or the Elders or anything; it was deliberate in creating them as children. A highly adaptable, highly curious, empathetic and every learning generation to rebuild what the Ancestors ultimately destroyed in their bid for power.
yeah I know! a few of the emotes also look like stims to me that I do myself. and personally as an adult on the spectrum with combined ADHD that had my own childhood very heavily redirected, I feel like the skykids and their role in the world are easy for me to relate to. not gonna say it was deliberate coding or anything, itās just a headcanon and connection that I enjoy.
Oh for sure ! Lots of neurodivergent folks love wierd little creatures that are in tune with an equally fascinating world like skykids.
Not just echolalia but masking and stimming too.
Stimming I can see but masking ?
Maybe a play on them having actual masks hah speaking of god I want more masks but I donāt think this TS has one I can buy aaaaaaaa
Copying expressions and behaviours
I don't think it counts as masking since you don't necessarily fit in/need to fit in with ancestors. Skykids also kinda look forward to cosmetics, while masking is exhausting.
I donāt get why youāre nitpicking my explanation
It looks more like analysing what you are saying, taking the info into consideration. And then providing their own input.
Also I didnāt say that echolalia is only found in autism
No but something experiencing echolalia doesn't mean it's autism for sure. This is not an attack against you.
I have Touretteās and ADHD I know this, you assumed I meant echolalia when I had just said that I think that SCOTL could be seen as an autistic metaphor. There are many other reasons that I could think that .
not going to pick at that one.
I dont have info about autism to have an opinion on it, though would like to point out skykids may not be autistic, nor share autistic behaviour.
This is more so a topic that would be too much of a slippery slope for the lore to incorporate.
There could be some similarities. though that is likely where they will end. Similarities dont hold any merit to theories unless there is tangible evidence to support this.
For instance, a skykid is supposed to survive eden over and over. Which may not only damage a human mind in the process, though prove a skykid is not human.
They may imitate human behaviour, and players are free to express themselves through their skykids.
All in all, it is not wise to make a statement on a public site and emotionally defend it when someone inevitably digresses (or disagrees with you, or misses your intended point).
I also realize that metaphor isnāt the right word to use but I canāt think of one to really describe it
I don't care about your diagnosis, tbh.
Anyway if you mean that autists relate strongly to sky kids, then yeah, I agree too.
For the sake of numerology and symbolism, I feel there needs to be a seventh realm. But wait... Would that be home space?
Eden is theorised to be the 7th realm
That and Orbit would be the ending that lets you go back to the start. completing the loop
I only mentioned my diagnosis to show you that Iām not an idiot when it comes to the term
Oh, that would make sense!
Considering you litterally broadcast it in your username, I don't think I needed that.
Btw this topic is not lore anymore, so I'm not gonna reply to you after that.
Just know that yeah, I understand being emotionally attached to something and projecting on it so of course people disagreeing with your vision feel a bit like personal attacks.
i dont think anyone was implying that or attacking u in any way
just providing their own thoughts on it
it is a discussion channel after all
Would it still be relevant for the lore that the elders are either related to the ancestors or they are a divine incarnation of an ancestor that ascended into divinity?
Similar to some Demigods like Hercules?
I've seen some people theorize that elders are basically ascended ancestors, but if the stars that fell are them, then it would have taken some pretty special ancestors if it were true...
My personal opinion is that the elders look like ancestor either because ancestors decided to clothe themselves similarly to the ones they worshipped/were taught by/obeyed to, or because elders took on such a form after allegedly falling.
I like the idea of elders being worshipped or at least revered before their fall, which in turn shaped them in the vague image of the ancestors. Kinda like a lot of irl deities being given anthropomorphic features if not a humanoid appearance altogether.
Whatās wrong with putting Touretteās in my username???? I genuine question because Raider dmāed me and and said that it was strange that I would mention that and now Iām confused
There is nothing wrong with using a username.
The reason for Dming is to have a conversation away from a public forum. I have not, nor will not use a private message to harrass or question people.
Here is the last message from me to them for context:
I believe you and would support you in any way I can.
Like I said in lore chat, I have very little knowledge of mental illness or most mental states that affect a person's life. I may know folks living with similar conditions and would try not to offend them.I apologise if any of my comments seemed like I was going after anyone, so far I only responded to your comment and then another person who was engaging in your comment.
I apologise if doing that caused any issues.
I will no longer respond to this directly, nor in private.

I like that idea.
I keep a head canon that the stars falling could be the elders. But since there are so many stars falling, they could be either souls, or lights from the megabird.
Furthermore, using the old lore as a base and a fan theory, the king and the megabird may have been working together to maintain a cycle, or a balance between life and death. Megabird could be the one that allows new life to return to the world, while the king was responsible to guide the departed to orbit.
I think there was an old concept art that showed this.
That's pretty cool ! I like to think that, historically being part of that cycle of souls migrating from all corners of the world toward Eden so they die and ascend to Orbit only to fall back down, ancestors could be kind of like stars themselves. Since the game seems to have a thing with harmony/unity/wholes, perhaps it would be thematic to remind players everything is made from stardust...
Here is one, the megabird is a bit subtle, though I swear there was another one somewhere...
The one under the portal in the Hidden area of Vault ?
close to it, here is the one that looks like the water mural under the portal to office.
The blue dots creatures seem to bring back to megabird... Could they be wisdom gained from a lifetime ?
This part of The Egg by Andy Weir illustrates what I mean better:
Your soul is more magnificent, beautiful, and gigantic than you can possibly imagine. A human mind can only contain a tiny fraction of what you are. Itās like sticking your finger in a glass of water to see if itās hot or cold. You put a tiny part of yourself into the vessel, and when you bring it back out, youāve gained all the experiences it had.
ooh, will look that up.
Since the old lore and the new lore have very little info on that, I may either have to keep digging or wait to hear what someone else has to say.
The game is about 3 or so years old (dont quote me, I cannot tell with the closed beta vs the global release), there ought to be some curious minds that might know something about it.
Its the "flame". The blue dots is the "flame" Pretty much Megabird gives it to the Prince in this part
That is absolutely terrifying
Maybe weāre like the vampires from twilight
Or like the ancient Roman gods depicted with glowing liquid for blood
So much for the 'gods dont bleed' trope, lol.
Wonder where did that come from.
Yeah I kinda imagine Iād we did have blood it would be pure light . It just makes sense in my head
Probably old English.
In old English they were obsessed with ālife bloodā so I bet they changed the lore so they donāt bleed to seem more godly
Is I canon or your interpretation ?
There it is!
Took a while to find it. Saving this for later.
YES
Its in the concept timeline if I recall, and probably stated in Tom Zhao's concept art... The image there is actually Megabird giving Prince and the light Creatures the Flame. Im gonna have to recheck, but I'm pretty sure this was what the concept art was about
Oh okay ! I recall seeing something like that yeah !
since sky was more or less announced in 2016, that would make sky 5 years old
Wait I really like that idea, that human souls are reincarnated as sky souls and down and back as a cycle
Roman and Greek gods actually had a substance known as ichor, not blood, and it was used in a variety of ways according to myth. But actual blood was not something they possessed; that was an important distinction in Greek religion specially to show the difference between the Gods and mortals.
Also Ichor is just a fun word in general I think
Cool
I found this page yesterday and I thought of you, surely some of you know it already but even so I wanted to share! I like a lot the concept art and also like the ideas of the worldbuilding and old lore https://www.tomzhao.com/sky1
Anyone ever wonder why skykids with the no mask mask ā have their eyes closed?
Honestly I love this though
Thanks.
If it is ok. Can you share the picture itself here?
The link led to the gallery with all the pictures instead.
It may be a cosmetic for the game to keep the eyes closed while maskless. While wearing a mask, they can blink and squint their glowing eyes.
Lorewise, they could be maskless and able to open their eyes. But in the game, the character does not do that.
I like checking that website every now and then
Ichor?
Iāve heard a theory that their eyes are too bright and the masks filter it and dim it, but they still need to close their eyes without it as not to blind anyone else. Itās also interesting to consider that they can navigate just as well with their eyes closed
I thought it just makes the mask invisible: skykids canāt function without their mask
probably common knowledge that the elevator is powered by power diamonds but I thought this would be cool to share here
I will move this to #screenshots-and-videos if this does not belong in the lore channel
I heard somewhere else that flight is a power skykids have inherently to their nature. All their clothes and the cape are made of light, this is why you don't see outfits and cape shadows when playing.
Interesting ! However I'd like to point out you can't fly before getting your cape, and unlike other cosmetics, your cape doesn't vanish from your skykid when you run out of fire (it does when you die in Eden though, so maybe your cape is something that's stronger than other cosmetics. Could justify the higher price in candles).
I think thats because Capes are made from Winged Light, which is different from your own Light (flame). The Winged Light itself stores the light, does not vanish when you lose your fire, only when you lose Winged Light (Your flame and Winged Light are seperate, possibly because your own Winged Light aren't actually yours to begin with...). I think its appearance of the cape itself is the part that is changeable and dependant on your own Light, but not the cape's existance itself unlike other cosmetics
When the cape gets torn up in Eden, it doesn't switch to the gray basic cape but retains its silhouette (albeit torn up and dull).
Iām super curious what people think about the end of the season of flight trailer where the flight paths suddenly turn very golden wasteland-looking and a krill can be heard in the background!!

ofc! for example, this timeline about the old lore is really interesting~
it's a shame the pictures' small size tho
yup, @versed plover
If there were any of them at a better resolution, I would keep looking for them.
Scolding student becomes shushing scholar later in life?
This is an hilarious headcanon but also consider this: they aren't related but they strongly feel eachother's pain when faced with people's foolishness. A š¤ kind of kinship.
Bonding through common hatred
Absolutely.

I noticed something about the elder cutscenes
Isle and Prairie elders seem like they don't really expect visitors into their temples and are pleasantly surprised that someone lit their altar. So they're very gentle with the flame and the flame restores them.
Forest and Valley elders are a bit more careless with the flame. They're surprised, yes, because who lit the altar to their temples in a dead world? But they justā¦kindaā¦snatch the flame away and don't think much of it. It seems to me that they don't have any reverence for the power of the flame.
The Wasteland elder is restored by the flame similar to the Isle and Prairie elders, but the cutscene makes it seem like the elder doubts the flame will be of much use. Maybe because they've seen war and darkness so much that they don't think light will be helpful to them? But they're still grateful that they received it from us ^^
And Vault elder is scarred and being an intellectual, they know the importance of the flame. They could use the restoration of the flame but instead, they use the flame to show Skykids the story of Sky and their journey forward. They revere the light so much that they know it has a higher purpose than to heal them.
Just a thing I noticed ^^
wah it's the first time i saw this! thank you! i believe that most of what's there is true but I guess we'll never know what was changed
I want to read it but I can't read any of it
Checkout tom zhao's website in the pins you'll find a better quality of it there
That is an excellent observation. š
That may show how the kingdoms used to be surprised at how much power the flame holds, then start to take it for granted, and then learn the harsh lesson of abusing it, and then learn how to be grateful for it.
The wasteland and vault elders are the only ones to not take the flame from the skykids, but instead accept them when given directly. With vault's scene shwoing the gifting of the flame more clearly.
Nicely done. š
I found this image in a better resolution.
I'll can put the text here if needed.
Fire Era
All souls are part of the Megabird. Each soul cycles through the Human and Sky World gathering experience before returning to the Megabird. We are all one and one is US all.
Megabird grants flame to the Prince and Creatures.
Prince chooses 6 Ancestors to oversee their realm and grow their civilisation.
Both Ancients and creatures worship the firs, migrating to the Holy Land to die and be reborn.
Megabird is at her strongest and all life is connected by light.
Creature's light is big advantage. Elder Creature offers flame to the Prince at his time of need.
Dark Stone Era
The Prince explores forbidden forests with Shaman Ancestor and unearth dark stone matter that absorbs fire.
They mine forests for dark stones to harness and power new technologies. Ancient civilisation evolves to new heights.
Prince gives the Ancestors special Dark Stones that makes them godly.
Dark stone technology absorbs too much fire and the Creatures attack. However, they are defeated and must retreat.
The Ancients enter a golden age and the Prince is crowned King. However, dark matter begins to corrupt the Prince and Ancestors.
Ancients become indifferent and disconnected from the Megabird. The Ferryman Ancestor retires with no new souls to shepherd.
King orders Warrior Ancestor to build fortress and weapons in the event of another Creature attack.
A powerful Ark made of Dark Stone is built. The creatures attack and the Ancestors use it to seek shelter. The Ancients steer the Ark towards the Holy Land knowing the Creatures would be reluctant to follow.
Elder Creatures and their armies sacrifice themselves to destroy the Ark which explodes in the epic battle.
A Storm filled with darkness was created from the explosion and corruption spread through the Kingdom. The Ancestors' Dark Stones curse the King's Crown trapping in the the storm.
My headcanon is that they don't actually have eyes and they see with the Light, and maskless is sustaining their sight through the light you spend buying it.
Post Storm Era
The Creatures caught in the center of the Storm became corrupt and unrecognizable. They now wander the land as lost malignant beings.
Decades past before Creatures begin to migrate to Megabird again but the world is destroyed and treacherous.
In dismay, Megabird blesses the Sky Kingdom with a new Descendant race in the hope that they will reconnect the souls.
Thank you, Raider!
Eden as a holy land is interesting
I wish some of that made it to the game
Also it's a good thought that the Prince and King don't need to be separate beings. A prince can be crowned a king.
Also I got pictures of the Eden storm and it doesn't look like an explosion - it looks like an honest to goodness storm
Various perspectives of Eden storm
In the first picture, the cloud cover looks like it could wrap all of the Sky kingdom in it. So I kinda have this headcanon:
Isle and Prairie are at cloud level. Maybe above level.
Forest is below cloud level.
Valley is above, Wasteland is below.
Vault is a shelter.
During a storm, the safest places are the places above the clouds. "High and dry," if you will.
Which is why Isle, Prairie, and Valley seem relatively unharmed. One might even question if they suffered any destruction at all. (We know they did, but they still look and feel amazing.)
Meanwhile, all the poison water, dark rain, krills - they're all below the clouds. Where the clouds would have brought the storm.
Think of it like a hurricane, and what a hurricane looks like from space.
you are welcome š
The timeline image is of the old lore, so there is a ongoing debate if the prince and the king could be the same person, or a duo similar to the twins.
Knowing which might give more insight to if elders can have family relations, or simply adopt each other as a member.
As for the explosion part of Eden, perhaps the parts of it before the point of no return could be where the explosion took place.
I really like the idea how the elders rely on the power of dark stone to become 'godly,' and the reference to the golden age in sky.
Depending on where one looks at this, it is unfortunate that the current lore may have key differences to the old lore, or how this can be a good source of inspiration for fanfiction.
It is a shame though how there is little to no new lore to be found in the current lore. Most of the info I gathered was from the beta. Although, it is very nice to see the twitter art, YouTube videos and even a few crumbs of lore in the game to work with.
Hey fun fact, for those of you that asked where milk in sky could come from (for a theoretical latte from the TS hints), crop milk is a thing !
nvm whales produce milk
ok, that I did not know.
And will be careful before stealing sips from the tea stands.
I'm not sure which is funnier, the actual theory ancestors might have had milk thanks to the whales/elder mantas, or the fact that I keep on getting censored for jokingly suggesting it in too few words.
I come by the channel for a quick scroll and this is what Iām greeted with
lol y'all
a thought..... were the wastelands always like this.... full of darkness and pollution, or did it used to be a more populated, valley-like area?
Populated, since Valley and GW used to be connected so uhhh populated
I would like to know the lore of chibis does anyone know?
Chibi mask is prollt caused by magic or smthn, idk thereās no chibi theories/lore of that ik
haha
Yeah i know chibi is a thing outside of the game just wondering if it had any more internal lore
some signs point to the wasteland originally being less polluted and more livable
Wow so wasteland used to look way different? From what I remember in game though its always looked polluted. Played pre seasons.
Yed
It has a symbol that is reminiscent of the prince symbol, it just doesn't have 4 of the floaty dots
Finally got the white cape for my sky prince cosplay!
Woah you look sick actually
Where's the mask from?
Wish there were more lore seasons tbh
Or we just
Had more information on the story in general
Itās so interesting, and I feel like tgc is missing a huge opportunity
Unless theyāve got some whole arc planned, by all means
just, wish there was more to work with
I want a season just about where krill come from
āMum where do krill come fromā
āUh-ā
There was a theory/headcanon the Assembly kids were actually the kids of the Lightseekers!
Which I strongly accept, tbh
Yes I'd love a lore season too. The whole atmosphere and lore/story in Sky is my favorite thing in the game
You can probably guess which spirit is related to who based off of masks somehow. Since each Assembly kid with masks corresponds to a respective Light Seeker spirit
Oohh makes sense. That's interesting, I didn't think of that before
Going by this rule, Bubble Blow and Chuckle kids are actually siblings, their parents are Piggyback and Double Five. (Their masks are a combination of Piggyback's and Doube Five's, but the two has only has one half of it). Also makes sense since they seemed to have a familial-like relationship than that of friends.
Scolding Spirit is Shushing Scholar's kid
Scaredy is Crab Call's kid
Marching Adventurer is the kid of Twirling Champion
Baffled Botanist is the child of Casual spirit
And of course, Assembly QG is the child of Lightseekers QG
This was a popular theory when Assembly first came out, if I recall
Any clear versions of theese posters next to the fridge-?? they look extremely interesting bro
thanks!
but im also talking about the info---
What info
I think they mean the text, which is too tiny to be read here.
yeah
The apologetic ~~miner ~~ Lumberjack is the one that sells the mask.
That mask is the closest to the one the forest elder is wearing.
Lumberjack
Miner is the
spirit !
My bad, thanks for correcting that. š
An early idea for the night realm, a very early idea for vault.
Small headcanon about why they have a grave on the social area--the spirits knew it was their end and therefore was in the social area for one last moment of enjoyment before they're wiped away by their inevitable doom, pretty happy to be with each other but sad because they missed their loved ones. Painted their grave areas together, and stood in front of it and felt that the storm was close and died in the place where they made their graves.
(Probably that's why it has a blue top part. Because they know they're not happy about loved ones but also do. But blue could symbolise safety? Because blue rocks in eden)
I wonder if their mortal body had skeletons or were just ashes after the storm
Blue in sky could symbolise the ancestors, that or them being spirits.
I also would like to know if their bodies are stone statues, ashes or organic remains (skeletons like the whale in forest and whurtles in graveyard)
So, after a long break
I just played the new season
The floating islands are so beautiful
And the little bird healer spirit almost made me tear up, Iām not kidding. itās widdle baby bird call
Itās cool how much lore this place opens up with the face it was a crossroads between worlds, basically. Almost like an airport. And who knewāmantas could pull boats!! I was under the impression boats could be steered on their own
It seems they place was also where these manta pulled boats were made or repaired, and the steeds cared for or treated. I got a bit of a nature preserve vibe too.
(I also notice that the bird healer area features an insignia I havenāt seen before. The traveling spirit has this flag with the same one on it too, I think. Is it like a medical cross in their world or something?)
Edit: ugh why does my autocorrect not know that manta is a word
itās not mangaaaaaa
Yeah Iām curious about that too. The idea of burying typically comes from the fact that we deteriorate after deathāādust to dustā. If they turn into stone after death, Iām not sure if the burial practice would be the same? Idk
These people travel up mountains, so their burial practices might vary from the regions on the coast, to the mountain tops.
For example, some cultures that lived near water like the Nordics (historically, not sure if this is still a modern occurrence), preferred to be buried at sea, letting their dead float away on death vessels as if on their maiden voyage to the after life.
While some cultures that lived high up in the mountains, like the Tibetan Buddhists, would leave the dead out in the open for scavengers to deal with it and allow the body to decompose with the elements.
https://www.britannica.com/list/7-unique-burial-rituals-across-the-world
I keep thinking about an idea of disabled Sky kids having service and support animals and that's the function of those animal head accessories? Like the Bird Head acessory from Flight and the Bunny from Summer Lights event.
Like, the little birb that perch on top of their heads can help mute sky kids to honk and essentially talk and communicate with other sky kids. Or like, they help with visually impaired Skids when flying so they don't crash into obstacles.
And like, with Bunnies, maybe they help skids who have disabilities that causes them to faint or pass out and they prepare and warn the skids before it happens. E.g, the bunnies jumping up and down to signal that a narcoleptic skid is about to pass out so the skid can find a safe place to sit down and pass out.
Just. Disabled skids with their service animals helping them.
Thinking about disabilities, it would interesting to see how a amputee would work. It not only depends on their anatomy, but how their bodies would recover after rebirths.
Just thinking alone, a skykid that would be paralysed from the wait down, would have to depend on flying to get from place to place. Maybe even have a harness to help maintain balance and control in flight or wearing gear that would help them sit down anywhere instead of flopping onto the ground each time they land.
If the spirits all died, who was around to bury them?
the elder's/j
Who says they got buried?
It has been a long time since their deaths and the arrival of sky kids.
If any remains would still be around, it would either have to be dust, bones, or petrified bodies (stone statues).
Concept: The elder spirits were spirits even when the spirits were alive. Mayhaps they were deities of some kind in the past that looked over the constellation and seasonal spirits. Once they all died, the elder spirits buried them since they're the remaining ones.
Alternatively, their uhhh corpses would be left around and dark magic would happen and basically their bodies take form into krills/joke. maybe that's what wasteland was. A cemetary for those spirits?
... bog bodies ...

That and imagine an elder skeleton in the dark water.
Why has The devs not added something like that yet!?
Forest. Apologetic lumberjack
The Elders are referred to as "Stars" in the gameā¦
Thank you! Raider confirmed it to me beforehand :D
I shared a messenger bird idea with Raider, if we're talking about the animals on our heads
@cerulean shadow
I saw a service manta idea on tumblr for flightless skykids ! Could have one for skykids learning to/unable to fly... mantas don't seem to mind us landing on them too.
There is also a way to fly irl without using legs...
Got the camera to clip inside a spirit (sorry apologetic lumberjack), and while the dark plant here looks like one of those bulbs we sometimes burn, it's colored as if it's actively burning even though no sky kid is using a candle on it.
Perhaps it's a remnant of that concept art where darkness encases and traps light, and seems to glow from the inside ? Maybe there is a little flame within, as if the ancestor is still fighting the darkness...
Spirits in game and official art do have a sort of light inside their chest, maybe it's that.
A corrupted heart
It also goes with the way they're posed. Clutching at their chests like they want to defend their vital organs.
Or a common pose held when one is in pain.
Reinforces my theory the Eden shockwave wasn't just physical destruction; it could have sown the darkness that would later become the litteral cage of those lost souls. Perhaps some ancestors far enough from Eden survived the blast, but like with atomic bombs, they were still critically wounded. Maybe some fell pretty quickly with darkness taking over and trapping their soul, while others could have survived weeks before finally becoming petrified.
It looks like every spirits has this orb of darkness in them.
It could be mechanic to start the spirits memory, or a suggestion that their hearts, or souls, are overtaken with darkness.
And us skykids get to, in a way, cleanse their souls with the flame of our candles.
Dark matter that makes up plants and the orbs in spirits do seem able to steal light from things around them, though not strong enough to do so as effectively unless it takes root. So, dark plants are likely a by product of the dark stone corruption.
Perhaps the introduction murals in isle of Dawn can give a hint.
The spirits were able to thrive with the light. Since the stars fell and the light faded, the spirits lost the light that was protecting them from the darkness.
I like to think the flame sky kids bring the spirits symbolizes their hopes and dreams; something they have, protect and cannot live without.
It could also explains why it awakens the ancestors, reinvigorate the elders & more or less breathe life back to the world.
_ _
It kinda makes the cutscenes more wholesome too; Isle and prairie elders are surprised and relieved to receive hope, forest elder could have been desperate for it hence the snatching, the twins sending it soaring up high, wastelands elder looking like they haven't seen it in centuries and vault elder storing it in an artificial star so it shines within the safety of the vault...
It can work!
Also in some spirits, when you start reliving them for the first time, you do get wax out of there.
And that might explain why Tearful Lightminer had another spirit (notably) who also had dark plant growing on them (who I think can be Whale whisperer spirit who died there and now his call lives through the darkness which no longer gives wax there, but instead, on tearful's relive)
Maybe dark plants grow out of dead/dying stuff...
But that spirit (in that cut) looked like they were healthily sitting up
You can sit up while mortally wounded.
THIS is very late but I was looking back at the channel and honestly, looking at the timeline, I think thereās still a fair amount of it that still could be seen as canonical through inference. Not sure about the idea of the ark and obviously the elder concepts are different now, as well as the Megabirdās supposed role, but just from the ingame world and bits of lore to be found I think a lot of this could still hold up.
Hi
You are right about parts of the old lore has not held up in the current lore.
One fact I am 60% sure of is the elders are no longer Ancestors. If that somehow does remain canon, my skykid will spend all of their candles on hearts š
As for the ark, there might be evidence to help suggest that there is an ark in Eden!
Take note this is a long shot, but one I am not letting go easily. @rigid mural took notice of how the top of eden (the tunnel that is the point of no return) looks almost like a massive wrecked ship similar to the old concept art.
I did some investigating and can see this being a thing, though the game made it clear that it has sever limitations and left the wreck of the supposed ship a hollow cutout.
So, there may be some parallels still, but it looks like only time can tell when a future update might expand on this.
Eden is the only realm with no seasons, so it is a matter of time.
Youāre right! I totally forgot about that Ark thing Vela posted! Thinking on that, if a majority of the population of ancestors left for this Ark, that could possibly explain why there are comparatively very few spirits throughout the world contrasted with the ruins of what was clearly a society at its peak. Thatās a fun new thought that just came to me. I def agree that most of this all will be revealed in time, though!
MILB
(Man I Love Boats)
Need that on a shirt
Here is something that might interest you, @half shadow
There is concept art showing that sky could have had stone creatures like a flying fish!
It is a real shame it never made it into the game. Not only because those things would amazing and unpredictable (i.e. can be corrupted).
They would set a solid link to the Atlantis myth. Which also would strike another tally for Greek related theories/references and possibly used to decipher the mystery of sky.
Ohhhhh yes!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fish concepts so much, Iām already spoiled by the likes of the king tuna/whale
literally anything having to do with more fish or heavily sealife-influenced looking creatures in the game is always my favorite.
As for the Atlantis myth, I think it tracks pretty well. Itās clear the Ancestor race was suddenly upheaved in a very radical way, most likely through the people/the King/Elders becoming too influenced by power and ultimately being struck down.
Here is one with a friendly fish (also, there could have been flying squid!)
And here is the agressive one.
These are likely very early ideas that changed later on. Though it is still cool looking.
AAAAA THE SQUID AND THE OCTOPUS Oh my god I donāt think Iāve seen these!!!
ahem in case it wasnāt already obvious sealife is my lifelong special interest and Iāve taken many steps to be hopefully one day in the field of marine bioscience and ecology. One of the reasons why I even started playing Sky was because it reminded me of ABZU, and the fact that thereās already a lot of cleverly designed oceany critters in the game. I love all this so much
Tote bag spirit. Appears in two separate spirit memories (apologetic lumberjack and tearful light miner). No spirit memory of their own.
A lot of times I find myself liking the old concepts more than the newer ones
Ooh. Maybe he was a supervisor or overseer?
It is cool and sad knowing that spirit has some backstory to him, appeared in two different memories, but not gotten his own memory.
So, did he get buried in the rumble in light miner's memory?
Thats what it looks like.
š¢
I mean, all three spirits that are in light miner's memory died.
Update: returned to the spiritās little medical cove to take a photo, and the flag wasnāt there...I then realized that some mischievous skid had placed it there. It was the TSās flag. I feel dumb
Anyone knows the star pillar that sometimes appeared in Starlight Desert? I'm trying to go there but I'm not sure when will they appear
Hello everyone
I love all the theories and idea here ^^
sorry just wanted to point that out
where would this appear exactly? That could be a skykid getting candles, or perhaps an active quest?
my friend told me it's in the little social space inside the cloud tunnel near Sneezing Geographer's book stack island
I've seen people posting about it multiple times in ig
hmm... I have not been in there often. Will check it out.
All that is in the small island with the candle bench.
sorry for not knowing, @swift plaza
Ah it's okay tho
Uh so the miner and her crew/family go into the cave and start doing work, but some rocks fell and those people died in the rubble, leaving the miner the only one left alive
Oh and concept krills are terrifying
you are welcome to check out the art of Tomzhao, he is the one that did most of the art you see here.
why are they fluffy worms with human teeth and weird arms
I hate that I hate it I'm running to our Rythulan friends with the unavoidable Guardians.
Also we have Mischief lore to consider look at the outfit is it familiar?

Sky kids got that chest mark on their back too !
Also I think the spirit is ktjin
If you look at the race gates in Valley (the ones you can see through), you also see that triple diamond belonging symbol
Valley Twins put salt and pepper on apple slices
Lmao
That's delicious š
Me and Samekh are similar then, because I eat cereal without milk which is also a food sin
Same, cereal without milk taste good
You guys eat cereals with your milk ...?
Which spirit do you think has the darkest backstory?
Tearful Light Miner
Tearful Lightminer, but I feel like including the Salute/Dismiss spirit in Shipwreck
I have a strong doubt that draws a lot about the lore so here goes: who do you think was The King?
We (as a collector of winged lights), winged lights, corrupted stones in pnr, corrupted souls before pnr and whose soul is also part inside the diamond.
Yes, this would mean that this is mostly King making amends and saving everyone but yes.
^
It's an interesting point of view, Although I keep wondering what happened to him, and what his true identity is, since two different versions of him could be seen.
Well, long story short: A captain always goes down with his ship.
Tearful light miner (watched all of their friends die), fainting warrior (died), and saluting protector (in a shipwreck, sent other spirits in rescue boats to save them only for the boats to crash).
THEY WHAT
Fainting warrior's death was...I don't know, I was like "Skykids he's dying what the frick"
About the salute spirit, the captain always go down with his ship. Best way to put it (as Anzu had said)
Watched his members die, sent the others in ships and died alongside with their ship and mates
They left.....
He was probably unaware of the diamond's consequences until it was too late
Well, in my interpretation since the fainting warrior later teaches the sky kids other fainting emotes it's like "oh, dont-dont worry, I just... fainted is all... It's ok" to protect the sky kids innocence, or since they don't want others to have to worry.
(Little do they know we kill ourselves weekly just for some candles /s)
I...thought he died in the end anyways?
I absolutely commend how they tried though.
Well, at least those from the Eden incident also follow.... More or less well
Those affected did not die exactly, they were only made of stone, they were always spirits
Oh no, they died. But the sky kids thought he was sleeping or something and to protect them, the fainting warrior just went with it
Protec The skykids Innocence
Yeah, Sky kids didnt get it and thought they fainted and went to sleep. This is clear with the "Zzzz..." Effect with the lv 2 and lv 4 emote
Or maybe death is something that skids don't unerstand because death isn't really permanent to them. This is clear with rebirth
Which brings me to the question:
The memories we relive of the spirits. Are they memories of right before they died? Or are they memories that define them?
Also my interpretation is that Skykids are like descendants of the ancestors and spirits, right? So they're going to find new ways to do the same things that their ancestors did. There are concepts of diluted blood and how knowledge is transferred between generations that I'm referring to here.
I think the warrior did die and the Skykid knows it. But since they're descendants, they don't have to go through that but they have that memory and that expression. So Skykids use it in different contexts.
Tbh, I see them as the important memories in their lives, or the ones they remember the most. Because a lot of them dont depict those memories like they're about to die or something. There's also the Assembly kids and Dream girl, who may have grown up into adults after the events of the memories we see
My headcanon with Assembly is that the Assembly squad actually drifted apart over time as they grew older. The teaser of the Season showed the QG kid walking to the treehouse, with this feeling of returning to a childhood playground that has now fallen down over the years. Its hard to describe, but yeah
Like a sad, bittersweet sense of nolstalgia, visiting an old place from the past.
So the Assembly scouts would be preteens or early teens
Perhaps. Probably preteens. They could be younger than their appearance tells us tho tbh. At least physically. My headcanon is that their physical appearance as spirits reflects the spirit during their most rememberef memories. (Or the memories that has the biggest impression on them when they were alive)
The scouts didn't die as kids, they actually grew up eventually. They just had the appearances of being kids because it was the time they remembered the most
I see; I like that theory a lot!
Yeah, it makes sense
i know this isnt exactly canon but- if there was an underwater season (been thinking about it since i've noticed a lot of people want one
) how do you think it will tie to lore
Big whale supremacy

nYOOm
besides, it would most likely take up a lot of space. i dont think hidden forest will do very well
Either memories that define them, or their first assumed death (it's like their death is only certain when it happened in the social area rather than the areas you have the reliving. Sure they kind of died, but not completely)
I saw similar worm-like creature when was completing trial of fire
Saluting captain memory was super buggy to me tbh, and it's a pain to relive too so I didn't bother trying again. Interestingly enough, you CAN find a lifeboat still attached to the shipwreck.
Isn't the descriptor of the treehouse "A home away from home" ? Perhaps the treehouse was built to avoid something.
ā¦or it could be like a campsite
This channel gives me goosebumps
Our journey to Eden is a lesson that teaches us to help others even in difficult times, that is why those candles cannot be obtained even with real money: they represent our selfless act of saving the lives of those caught in the catastrophe.
To me, dreams feels like we're helping the skater fulfill their dream that they never got to do.
(it was a joke, that's why I put the /s at the end
(Uhhh /j means joke and /s means serious)

Isn't /s sarcasm ? I use /srs for serious.

Idk, I use /sar for sarcasm and /s or /srs for serious
/s generally stands for sarcasm, /j is an alternative to it, and /srs is a joke (at least from what I know)
huh, I am very confused but okay
Nah don't worry, at one point they get confusing
Though this is a question: Why can't be rescue the statues of stonechildren before pnr?
Prolly cause theyāre unable to save? Yknow, like King
Why so though? What makes them different? The area where they died?
Maybe because they canāt use their bodies anymore (like the first oneās turns to dust immediately) or maybe their soul faded out?
Do you think WL are the stone childrenās souls? Like, after they turned to stone, their souls didnāt just stay there like with the Ancestor spiritsāthey wandered around. Maybe similar to how spirit memories show a time important to the spiritātheir souls went to places they had a big emotional connection to or something (a la Undertale save points?).
Or maybe the stone children souls are indeed within their rock formsāthey just need WL to escape, similar to how the spiritās need a skid flame to escape. Idk why a skid canāt help them with their flame thoughāWL gives us the ability to fly...and the stone children need it to zoom up to Orbit....
Okay so now that I have played through the new season area, I want to talk about the juicy spirit culture lore it reveals
Okay, so the place is a big crossroads for the realms. It seems Spirits often traveled through it to get form place to place easily. I was under the impression you can take a boat anywhere you wanted, but it seems that they need to navigate carefully like one does in the seaākeep an eye out for weather, stay away from dangerous places where you could capsize your boat, and respect the wildlife.
Now that I know that their boats were pulled by mantas and the little lore notes about the spirits...it seems they want to encourage a āharmonious lifeā between the Spirits and the Sky creatures they use to get around. Additionally, it seems that they study the Sky creaturesā migration patterns as they are what leads the spirits to safe places to travel by boat, I think.
These seem to be the areaās Spirit group main jobs.
I mean, see how once we unlock a new area, the birds are the ones that fly into it to āunblockā it. Does this mean that Sky creatures have the ability to calm storms or create safe currents or something?? The explains why Spirits use bells to train and guide/attract them to places.
But why the glowey magic arches? What are those used forādo they create a big bell call, enough to attract the birds to create the main passageways to the realms? And whatās with that weird magic barrierādid someone or something put it there and why? (Or is it just a gameplay thing and has no bearing on the story?)
Iām also curious about the boat builder and the aviation dude...so the guy builds boats, but are these boys any different from the ones made in Prairie? Or I suppose he is just a guy with the same jobāIām sure there were lots of boat builders. But maybe he was more of a repairman who helped sailors fix their boats when they came to the crossroads.
I am curious though as why the aviation guy has to help sailors land. I guess it helps them see where they are going, similar to how IRL flag dudes (idk what they are called
) at airports help planes take off and land. It seems though that those flags might help the mantas do this more than the sailors?
I think itās also canon that the season spirit guide was the one who started the whole crossroads place? It did say they they were an apprentice of the Prairie Elder, and they were probably inspired by his teachings (heās big animal lover, Iām sure!) and wanted to encourage safe boat travel that worked harmoniously with the Sky creatures they used.
Though, maybe the crossroads existed long before, but they came along to make it betterāperhaps sailors found it treacherous to navigate before they came along. Iām sure the spirit group helped usher in a better age of travel.
Though, the question is, did they come along early in the cultureās history before the calamity (as in, they respected the Sky creatures for a time but then the Spirits soon forgot their teachings and abused the land/creatures), or did they appear after things started getting bad to try to address the growing misuse of the creatures? I mean, the backstory for the Spirit Guide seems to intimate that the current present was not so great, enough for them to dream of āa more harmonious futureā.
(...wow I sure wrote a lot
Iāll shaddup now lol
)
No itās really interesting!
I know that the builder was seen making a diamond powered boat in one of their memories.
What barrier?
And I think that the arches are to tell the creatures specific things, as they have multiple different types of chime on them
Have you unblocked the first cloud passage yet? If so, you can see what Iām talking about next time you play:
This passage leads to big cloud area that has a passage to the underground forest area. There also seems to be more to the passage that we will unblock with the next season quests, but it is blocked by a magic-force-field wall. When I flew next to it, it acted like I could use my flame to get thru it like most of the magic barriers we encounter in the game, but...either it is a glitch or something, but I canāt get thru it...
I was just curious if the barrier had anything to do with the season story or itās just a āgameplay vs story segregationā thing
Yeah, it seems so, but itās interesting that they glow, like they are using some sort of magic to make the bells extra powerful. I suppose this is similar to the prairie bells on the bell towers. Actually...Now that I think about it, it seems that the Spirits use power stones to magnify the power of their bells! Maybe thatās why they glow...perhaps it magnifies their sound or gives them the tone needed to attract the creatures (as the bell makerās description said, only certain tones attract them!)
Hopefully we will get more crumbs tommorow, with the new quest.
Yep! Hopefully
Yeah! The boat seemed to be a pretty big one.
The customer seemed rather happy with it!
Which, now...thinking about that guy...itās interesting how most Spirits wear cosmetics, but there are the few that are very basic looking. I used to think they were like that simply to seem anonymous or represent an āaverage Joeā, but now...I wonder if those fellas were part of a special group or something. They make me think of monks, haha
I know that handbag basic Spirit has been mentioned on here. He appears in a lot of memories
Yeah, so those ones. I think it might be story wise. The progression of release is probably gameplay based, but the fact they were blocked off seems to be lore related in my eyes
Yeah! Glad to know Iām the the only one thinking of that here
Wonder how the passages got blocked anyway?
I see three options, the fall, storm, or purposefully by the spirits
(Heh, he was on the prostrate spiritās memory. I always thought of him as an overseer of some sort. He definitely was NOT happy that the feller cut down that tree...)
I was wondering if it was some sort of punishment or consequence for the Spirits not living in harmony with the light creatures.
āNo traveling privileges for you, punksā
Iām so excited for tomorrowās quest
idk about it being inside the cloud tunnel, but i've seen it right outside of those clouds
Tho, when we finish all the quests, theres this text saying "You witnessed how the dream came true", meaning that what we saw already happened
so sky kids are made of
charcoal??
Well, there was this theory skids were made of clay...
thats scary⦠clay :0 but charcoal seems so accurate with the creations of sky kids⦠it makes sense that you need fire to light a flame and flame is created if theres charcoal⦠we in sky⦠woah
also because i saw this... which also makes me question of where the creatures came from and do they need to be lit the way as unlit sky kids do?? hmmm
More than charcoal or clay.... They are made of light in essence, including cosmetics, as they do not reflect off the shadow.
SKY KIDS ARE AGENDER
what is the thing at the bottom of the geyser?
A shell
Anyone know why it's there or what it does? It seems like it's the reason why the geyser is polluted. Like a part of some old dark creature fell into it and nobody saw it there and it just festered and turned the water into dark sludge.
Or maybe the boat carried dark goop and polluted it
Anybody has the whole Halloween map this year???
That wouldn't really explain why the shell is there though
Halloween event hasnāt been out yet, ask #beta-screenshots-videos
Ye dunno with the shell, itās just there ig

Yeah Iāve always wondered why a little shell is down there. Maybe itās just a cute little detail, but the black water being there makes me think of Shell oil lol
Initially, yes. Still yes but in another form.
There's total of 101-103 wl on total, while there is only 63-64 stonechildren on contrast
What I love is that the whale looks just like this

What happened to the story after the prophecy ?? seems like the devs completely lost track of the storyline š¤¦š½āāļø season of dreams , little prince and now flight doesnt have any context
The best guess I have for food for the spirits could be crabs, bk the crab bbq is a bit to big to be used by us skykids

- what in the world is the story behind this game
- what the heckie are the spirits and winged light
- what happens to us in ||pnr||
- why are krills meanie heads
- why are candles currency
Want the lore doc?

Story is unclear, aka the canon lore is almost non-existent
Spirits are ancestors/stars, WLs are an imprint of someone (prolly King/Prince)
No need to spoiler pnr since this whole channel is a spoiler, but we die and then go to orbit to be reborn
Nothing in canon say anything about it but people theorized that krills steals light to become their uncorrupted self (since krills r confirmed to be corrupted)
Thatās also unclear lmao
Well, the krill don't really consume our light, they just bonk it away
Like, If I can't have it, you can't either
Oh ya true
I forgot lmao

They gave Prophecy as a lore Season, but I dont think its part of some Sky storyline. Tho, it could still be the case, but if it does, the lore Season series won't be back to back, since the devs kinda balance out the Seasons with there being a lore one, then the next being not lore, etc.
But at least, you can expect it to not be the last Season focusing on some big lore, since Jenova hinted on the possibility of there being another lore Season that may give us some answers to Krills one day
When I think about it now... Perhaps Krills DO consume our light. Its only our winged light that gets knocked out. But remember we tend to lose winged lights when our light gets drained like in the rain...
Perhaps that from the moment we get hit, us losing our winged light isnt actually from Krills knocking them out of us, but rather our light gets drained or consumed by Krills and as a result, we lose our Winged Light. Just like how we do in the rain, or like how our flame is put out

Our light got so drained so fast (because Krills nom them) that it looks like we got our lights knocked out of us, but its not actually the case
Also remmber our Winged Lights store light, which is the wedges we see, which is yellow when its full of light and we use it to fly. Maybe that's what the Krills nom, and also since they ram into us fast, our flame gets vanquished and thus our Winged Lights. Mainly from lack of light
Or maybe they do indeed knock out our winged lights off, but I think they do indeed consume our light, which is whatever light we have in our wings that they consumed (If any wedge in your wing is full)
That would make sense. I used to think it is the light itself they are after.
But the krill would still target poor skykids even when their lights are out.
While it is uncommon to see, the krill can also target spirits. Not the fragments, thankfully, but the full body apparitions.
I saw this while reliving the wide stance spirit (Courageous soldier), the krill would have to be looking right at the spirit, so the timing had to be right. Theoretically, stealthy survivor could also trigger this if the krill happens to clip into the hiding place (which still happens from time to time).
Perhaps it is the soul the krill is after.
The krill can try claim the skykid's soul but instead knocks out their winged light that is protecting the soul. The krill may never be able to success in doing this as when they manage to know out all of the winged light, the skykid would not last long enough for the krill to attack again before shattering.
The Krill may be corrupted, though they either do not recognise winged light or are not interested in winged light.

Tho with the skykid, its possible that it could just be game mech, which interferes a lot with the intended lore sadly (canonical? Did I say that?), but what you said is still possible.
Spirits are stars, so it would make sense that they would get targeted, cause light. Also remember our sky kid gets recharged when near them
Like the fact that Whales are meant to to be 10 times bigger in lore than they are in game
Whales are meant to be wayyy bigger. Much bigger than that Elder Manta in Santuary
Yes. That big one
In Greek mythology (though not sure where exactly), there is some mythology that suggested that stars are souls of heroes. There is supposedly a superstition about falling stars are souls that are ascending. I may need to research that more, but back to Sky Lore.
The Ancestors are linked to stars as they are part of the constellation of their Elders. Skykids are similar in this case with their friendship constellations, but this may not entirely suggest that skykids are ancestors, but instead similar in the way they are able to ascend and appear as stars.
The game may have some inconsistencies either due to the limitation of the game (poly count that robs the terrain of details and the skykid's fingers), or balancing of mechanics (ex. a krill targeting spirits would make spirit memories impossible to complete when skykid cannot prevent a krill attacking spirits.
Though there are other ways that can help with the lore.
The spirits can get hurt by darkness in both their spirit and fragment memories. The spirits are known to be blue, which is the game's way of using that colour to symbolise them being spirits or souls.
When a skykid flies up, they give a brief flash of blue, which also happens when they are hit. This may suggest the skykid could have a soul, that can be further supported with a dead skykid appearing as a spirit fragment in Eden. These blue balls of light are very similar to spirits being lead around by living skykids.
That is why I think because the skykids have souls, they need winged light to help them reach eden and sacrfice them to statues. They may have only one soul, so sacrificing one life for another may not be enough, so the winged light could help with this.
Blue in Sky doesn't represent souls tho.
It represents loss. Or loss of light. We appear blue only when we flap becayse we LOSE light. The blue light of spirits are probably indicators that theyre dead and gone. Eden was originally going to appear blue in beta because it represents lack of light or loss of connection with The Light. (Got changed to red because it did not fit the vibe of the moment). The dark plants are blue because they passively drain light around them. And it also explains the blue glow on statues before we save them
Come to think of it, there may be another explanation for the limited amount of statue in Eden.
This could support the sky kids are the statue kids theory, though may lead to a new question of Why.
The game has a limited amount of statues in eden.
I am not sure how this works, though there is a limit to how many statues you can activate in eden every week. This may be a balance to the mechanic of gaining ascended candles being limited, and thus a valuable item.
Again, not sure how eden would determine this, since I did notice a change since after the season of the Little Prince being that in the final quest, there would be one more statue for the skykids to interact with, the one of the Little Prince. Similar to the update around that time, skykids turn into statues upon death, however the statues cannot be interacted with. Once you completed a run in Eden, the Little Prince's statue wont be there anymore, which is also the case with any skykid statue your friends leave behind.
On my device, there is a bug where cutscene does not play correctly, though am sure that was intended to happen was the statues you saved are destroyed.
Now all of that taken into consideration bring up the question of why:
Why would there always be more statues? Why do Skykids have to sacrifice their winged light to them? Why does the winged light in statues turn into a glowing skykid? Why do we need to guide these glowing winged light to orbit after saving them?
[I'll elaborate in a minute to prevent text walls]
@nimble ingot Mightve missed this with the text wall
True.
Blue in general symbolises mystery, space and the unknown. Such as the sky being blue and beyond lies the darkness of space, or the deep blue sea which few people have explored its dark depths.
The colour blue in sky could in general represent the ancestors .Though in certain contexts it would shift the meaning, such as a blue glow from diamonds, or the sky itself being blue.
[edit to reply: nope, I had just posted the text and then read your message, sorry for the delay]
Maybe the sky being blue is just how it is because you know... Irl sky is blue and you cant really change that unless you wanna make the sky yellow 24/7. I often interpreted the diamonds being blue cause they use up light just like how dark plants and Krill does in a way. Whenever light is used up, it becomes blue like what I said, sky kids becoming blue when they use up their light
That is an interesting analysis, I can see what you mean.
There can be times in sky where there is does not make sense, so would have to be chalked up as, it is what it is.
I like to read up about real life inspirations that can apply to the game. Similar to how artworks would draw inspiration from real life, I found some concepts (or facts) that tie into the game.
Just to go off topic for an example: the whale
in sky could be based on the Dunkleosteus, an extinct prehistoric fish that had bone plates on its face. There is even concept art that can show the image of one fossil used as a reference.
Coming back to the sky being blue, the game is a nice way of showing how the sky can come in many colours.
From the pastel purple of Dawn, to the reddish sunset in valley, the deep navy blue of night in Vault, or even a sickly green in Wasteland.
While this does not disprove the sky can be blue (like in Daylight Prairie or Forest), but show players that things are not always straightforward, but it does not spoil how simple and open the game can be.
[continued]
In the past, the winged light were once called stars. Their names might have changed to avoid confusion of bring the spirits home and saving the stars. Though I dont have the evidence to suppor this, so this would likely become a hypothesis (an idea with no proof) than a theory.
There are several theories around winged light, and so far I am aware of, there have not been any confirmed explanation of what they are and why they are there.
Sure, they are there for skykids to find and claim them. They help skykids fly higher and get stronger. But the game has this cycle where everything resets, everything returns to the way it was when the skykids first arrived.
All except the skykids themselves, the spirits turning golden when they are ascended, and the season areas that slowly reveal their secrets.
Perhaps there is a valid reason, though we are not yet ready to break out of this time loop, or reset cycle. But we do get stronger over time, so may not be strong enough just yet.
can i post some screenshot with someting spoil here?
I want your spoil

||does anyone have an idea of the eden prince/king lore and do yall have theories?||
Ultimate proof that Crabs and Spiders are related : š š
I think skykids are different species than spirits, elders and light creatures (maybe some kind of light-oriented neutral creature) being a relatively even mix of both
Spirits are similar to skykids in being light-oriented neutral creatures. They are of both light and dark, but since their connection to the Megabird (the Light) is severed, their light grow dim and was not able to ascend. Skykids are different from them by having a "dark" body and a light core, instead of being a real mix of both
Elders are more similar to light creatures than spirits, their body being composed of a lot more light than dark. Their light also dimmed after/because of the fall.
About creatures, I think there are dark creatures, light creatures, and neutral (may be dark- or light-oriented) creatures. When the kingdom fell to darkness, the more neutral creatures died out because their light grew too dim and their bodily balance is broken. Some neutral creatures, however, becomes corrupted as a survival mechanism (crabs).
About the krill... I think they both existed before the fall and is a product of darkness corruption. Krills are definitely a lot rarer before the fall, and not as aggressive though.
From @agile sun ā
āI feel like the shadow wormies in fire trial aren't actually real (since all the trials are, in this case, actually meditations) but the projected insecurities and fears of our kids. this is why they are "shadows" - where there is light, a shadow is always castā
has the Halloween event started yet?
It even proves me that spiders and crabs are related
personally, I see shadow worms like invasive or intrusive thoughts. they're big and scary in the dark, but they follow a pattern, and once you recognise that pattern it helps you to stay ahead. doesn't mean you'll be able to beat them but you can confront them (although I wish I could punch my invasive thoughts away like fire trial-)
Spooky scary skeletons
send krill in your home
The growl and lurk, and steal your welcome mats
The only lore we have about winged lights origins is that they actually belong to the statued kids in Eden. We you enter the "Point of No Return", the description text of the area says "Return the light of the Fallen", which means we actually borrowed these lights and all what we did in Eden wasn't just to go and save the kids, but also returning their light to them, which is the winged light we collected
Punch your WLs with delight
This could be true, though the amount of winged light increase with new seasons being released, but the amount of statues you can save a week stays the same.
The winged light could be something more than just a child's soul. The statues are called the fallen, but it did not specify it were fallen skykids or fallen ancestors.
The winged light we claim are never ours to keep. Like, you said, they are borrowed. Each time you come back, you are given winged light from ascended ancestors (spirits) and you have to go through the realms again to recollect each winged light. even the icon you tap on to interact with them shows you being given winged light.
Tho, we do see a lot of statues that we are unable to save when we go through Eden before the Point of No Return (the statues that crumble when we proceed), which means that the 63 kids we see in Eden werent actually all of them, they're the amount that still remained and are actually still saveable. That would explain the excess Winged Lights.
Tho, this is a bit sad when you think about it
True.
Just curious, has anyone had encountered statues you cannot give light to?
It happened once of twice in my runs after a reset. Or is that more a bug than the possibility of a dead statue?
Also there are a lot of diamonds in realms
Yeah, but they crumble immediately when you apprroach them. I remember in my first run that I ran to them, only for them to crumble. Almost put me and my friend into danger, lmao.
Theres also another statue that you go past that actually doesn't crumble, but its completely rock solid and has blue crystals on them. Ppl say its a beta reference.
These unsaveable statues actually appear everytime you go to Eden
Omg those look so good :000
With the currency thing, I have a theory.
If was not always the main currency, but instead came around with Sky kids. The original purpose was to protect them from the darkness, even though it doesnāt really work. Skids would give them to others as a sign of a trust and protection (hearts and friendship trees). It really became more of a currency when they gave them to spirits out of trust, but spirits donāt need the protection so they began to see it a currency.
I think these passage could be a little bit, meta, non perfectly canon (like the stone gates to in home)
2 weeks ago there was just a couple of glowing mushrooms leading to underground forest
But not the 2 new passages lead to Prophecy (even if its color scheme when it was locked led me to think it was Valley) and to Yeti Peek in Valley. This last one has a mini replica of the hut/cave
And the upcoming one (still locked) has the 3 water falls from Sanctuary upper floating island
The mini hut could be just a similar one instead of a replica... But... Another replica of the same upper floating island with the same 3waterfalls... Seems unlikely...
I start to consider there is a little bit of meta reference just for us players, a the street roadboard with City Names and directions but without the need of writing signs
Whats the story behind season of rhythm? Like I joined in sanctuary so idk but Im rlly cuirous
And whats the big bird thing
Which reset are you talking about? If it is Eden reset, then maybe you can give it a couple minutes - if you cannot give light to statues a few mins after that it is a glitch, you might want to force stop the app a few times to debug
It is just a troupe getting split up and you have to gather the troupe back
Whats a troupe? AJSJJSA Also thanks Im a bit slow
A troupe is like, a group of performers working and travelling together
Kind of like a travelling bard but it is a group of performers specilizing in different stuff
Oooo thats cool, thank you!! Is there like a stated reason they got split up or?
Seasons before enchantment didn't had any specific storyline you just gathered each spirit with their own storylines around the realms.
Oohh gotcha!! Tyty! :>
Rhythm spirits are all performers in sky that travel around in realms and perform at different places.
Hello
I made a small discovery

Do tell

2nd picture,on the bottom, these are cave paintings of a sun headed deity that were found on territory of Kazakhstan
This could be just a coincidence but it's weird
With the stars united, our light was infiniteā¦
Also here's another actual cave painting of the same deity
Took pics of the ark, theory incoming. Notice how the ship falls below a storm but not a krill.
After a weekly Eden Reset, I find 1 or two statues that do not glow with blue light, nor do they accept winged light. These would be statues I have not activated yet. These are what am calling 'dead statues' because they cannot be saved. :(
I cannot tell if this happens every time I rrtjrn to eden, since the statues cbange states.
I think the storm at the end of the Season of Flight trailer and the storm that struck the Ark are related. I recall someone theorizing that the ark would have been coming in or out of the wind tunnel...
Hm,maybe those are statues of players that perished? I am not sure if you can give light to them.
I also want to point out the ancestors seem to be gathering something in the first few pictures... You see depictions of megabird, stars and people putting stars in... orbs ? Maybe these are the lightseekers ? Are the vertical lines symbolizing falling stars they could have used to make orbs ?
In the Cave of Prophecy, above the mural depicting the light figure entering the cave, there's also lines... Could the original "rewards" for those trials be fallen stars too ?
I've gone through Tom Zhao's gallery and he did take inspiration in lots of ancient cultures. So I think this is one of those cases. It looks very interesting, ty for sharing Cvetik
im still going along with old lore⦠but i think the king is trapped in the eden diamond
i see, what is the lore then if you dont mind me asking?
There's no official lore for the king/prince concept because it was a scrapped idea. However you still got the concept art and sketches about it from Tom Zhao in his webpage!
I got an hacker on my account what should i do??
I blocked him but he mange to friend me somehow without my premission everytime i blocked there a new no name guy that sticks to my account

Can I post images from the secret area?
The hats the first figures wear are familiar
And they have umbrellas????
YEP IKR
I just played the newest seasonal quest and it seemed to be the chime arch that caused the birds to go and unblock the paths
As somebody who has never been in the dev area before, WOW
hey im a newbie to the server but i wanted to ask a question ^^ has anyone talked about the secret area in the isle of dawn? itās blocked by a spirit gate but i canāt remember what the specifics are
If it's vaguely below the temple, I think you need more forest spirits; it leads to the Cave of Prophecy, a seasonal area.
If it's high up in the clouds, I don't think it has a constellation gate, but it's basically a puzzle with a winged light and a few candles. There's a spirit from belonging, I think it's Boogie Kid but I'm not sure.
If it's a hole in the ground toward the side where Pointing Candlemaker's house is, it does have a spirit gate though I never really looked at what it needs, probably early game realm spirits like Prairie. It leads to a tunnel with the Piggyback Lightcatcher at the entrance and a candle cake at the end. Bring some light if you can, it's annoying to navigate.
ahh i donāt think itās any of those!! thank you for this though itās very kind of you
Can you show me a screenshot ? That's all the "hidden" areas I could think of in Isle.
there arenāt any spirits in it? at the end of it theres just a boat with three floating orbs of light ⦠and when i went in there was a candle cake, thats all. itās toward the far left beach area
and of course! i was just about to go do that :> gimme a sec
That's the last one I said yes, Lightseekers tunnel.
The spirit is hard to miss, right by the gate, but it's possible you missed it because a player was reliving it. Perhaps a timing problem ? I suggest you visit this place again later, piggyback is quite useful.
oh goodness youāre exactly right š iām so sorry i was playing on an alternate account when i found it and i had just started my journey none of the seasonal spirits had appeared yet
i did want to ask about this though !! i started playing this year so i wanted to know if the boat and the orbs were like a seasonal motif for lightseekers or if it was a one off thing? i hadnāt seen it before running into this tunnel
it also looked like the spirits were doing a sort of⦠ritual, i suppose? i donāt know how else to define it š i wanted to ask the serverās thoughts on that too, but i know im a little late for it, so thereās no pressure :] thank you again
Well we were just talking about how the lightseekers might have to do with the enchantment lights
No problem, it was an honest mistake. And yeah, from what I know, the season of lightseekers was about catching the light hidden in each realm. No quest for that was in isle, so perhaps that's where this realm's light is.
? Itās actually near the portal before it but can I?
I think that light fell from megabird/the sky, lightseekers caught it, and those vault scholars we see on my screenshots made them into orbs to give them to the common folks so they can use magic (we see two firing fireworks and one summoning a campfire. ring any bells ? spirit blessings and spells !)
We then see those vault scholars on a ship carrying these spells. One's headpiece is bigger, and set apart from the others. Lamed (vault elder) ?
Then the ship is capsized by a storm...
i just scrolled up and found it !! iām happy it wasnāt as off topic as i thought haha
the orbs in the boat⦠those are the spells that revived the ark area right? with the symbols it would seem so, no? the water, wind, warmth (fire) etc etc etc
so is it possible that the light orbs and the spell orbs are different entirely? light comes from megabird, but the spells are from the ancestors or something along those lines
It's possible pure light is more potent and come from megabird, while refined spells come from ancestors but are more controllable despite being weaker.
...Maybe the powers that light figure in Prophecy gave the elders was "raw" light only creatures as potent as them could control, hence the bigger effects (thinking about the rain in forest) while "refined" light was more accessible to ancestors.
@nimble ingot get in here, the convo is interesting and I want your take
Iām just gonna do it
ooh good point!! i also think itās interesting how the ārawā light survived independent of the ancestors even after the eden event. like we know that a lot of things were corrupted via the storm, but pure light orbs remain. kinda interesting, i think
whereas the spells had to kind of be facilitated by ancestor spirits and us as sky children. maybe that does mean that thereās a sort of raw / ethereal / divine nature about the lightseeker orbs as opposed to the enchantment orbs?
This mural (?) thing is near the office portal. I think it shows the Isle elder (on the boat) summoning birds that seem to de forming megabird. Itās a little of topic but ye.
well the old lore was that the prince chose 6 ancestors and started civilization in the sky kingdom⦠the prince found darkstone (in the forbidden forest) which grants the ancestors and prince himself godly powers⦠that dark stone was also a major necessity for a new era of technology⦠it also seem that they overused it and was not aware that darkstone is dangerous. the prince was now crowned king. most of the elder creatures were opposed to the material also, they would attack which caused war between the
ancestors and light creatures. an ark was built during that war and the ancestors would use it to seek shelter! then one of the elder creatures came to destroy that ark causing it to explode and the darkstone matter manages to hit kings crown cause him to corrupt and get trapped in that diamond in eden
This reminds me of the scholars in the mural making the spells, at least thatās what I think they were doing
You summoned? š
oh THATāS what you meant by forbidden area i was a bit confused š
wait so are we thinking that megabird isnāt just one entity, but like a colony of entities? like a multicellular organism that moves as one?? or at the very least it can break apart a bit
Ah, Megabird is the divine deity of the game, the creator of life and life.
It is made of light that converges (joins together) to a singular point, or like a rolling wave of life and light.
Think of it like the Christian God, but instead of a 3in1 God, it is many.
ohhhh i had NO idea it worked like that thank you !! thatās super cool
Now I can just think of someone saying, āBuy just one Megan and you can get 10000000 birds free of charge, the perfect deal!ā
Megan is a fan nickname for megabird btw
That is what I like to think of it, this may not be the canon description.
hahaha buy one get a million free~
and no raider i think thatās a very interesting thought w a lot of merit!! it would make sense considering the emphasis on community and connection in sky. like megabird is a community in and of itself to reflect the world it created
I find if interesting that it is Isle elder who is summoning them though, especially since in the old lore they were an outcast (I think)
Hmmm...
Perhaps the megabird grants boons, or send down gifts to those that are worthy?
Megabird might be able to allow spirits to return to their homes. Similar to how the Little Prince is able to go to his asteroid and the skykid somehow lands in the starry desert (perhaps, the skykid was still holding on to the Little Prince and guided him home, but it redirected the skykid's landing spot to the starry desert)
Imagine if sky kids were air benders from ATLA and ignoring KORA since airbenders are spiritual and everything : sorry for butting in cya
Dawn elder may be a retired Ferryman. He used to guide ancestors on their pilgrimage to Eden (the top of the mountain). Now he sends Skykids on their way instead.
He seems like the eldest of the 6 elders we meet. His shrine seems most worn and he is most frail because in a beta version of his cutscene, his power does not last, as he loses his light and his mask breaks. In both cutscenes you can see him trembling and using his staff as a walking stick.
do you think the creatures / symbols related to each elder have deeper meanings? like dawn and birds, ayin (prairie) and butterflies, or lamed and stars
In light awaits (beta sky), Isle of Dawn was a tutorial level which sent you to what would later become Home.
I like to think the Isle Elder is tasked to keep the reincarnation cycle up (at least the parts that aren't orbit) as per their psychopomp-like role, while the others hold the gates of Eden shut, and the storm at bay.
like dawn is most connected to megabird while forest auntie is connected to the more physical realm (hence the diamonds)
Can the other Elders summon megabird, and if not why?
OH oh wait this too!!! in dawn there are bird waiting to pick moths up because their cape light is very low⦠could that be the presence of megabird, too?
and the underground in forest⦠no rain, an incredible amount of creatures, and a bunch of birds circling towards the heavens
that area is like the least congruent with the rest of the forest, but itās verdant and lush and full, with very little sign of decay or corruption, yeah? so ⦠could that be because the presence of megabird is a lot stronger there?
True about both the Elder being close to Megabird, and Dawn being a tutorial.
Though why must that realm show all 6 realm constellations? Would it make more sense to remain consistent and just show dawn's constellation and say there are other realms to visit?
I miss the old cutscene, because the current one feels crowded and makes Dawn feel redundant since it is short and the skykid is already shown the other realm's constellations.
Well the other realm temples are also depicted inside the Isle one, tbf
Each elder has their specialty, each elder is different and that is why the realms are different. However, they used to work together, so it is not out of place to see parts of the realms overlap one another.
hold on ,, im a bit of a jittery person so i donāt do wasteland often, but does wasteland elder have a symbol / motif accompanying them? or is it just the spear and shield
his shield has an emblem that looks like the one in the props closet š
ohhh like the king????
so like his power lies w the king himself⦠hence the statues ?
Sort of. I am looking for the image.
Something like this >>
https://64.media.tumblr.com/bb2a2aa8991d3ca6b2eb4208ad7c3563/ba021c714778932e-05/s1280x1920/8a5c1f78eba5e1f7de3af755eaa1b78a60df4edf.gifv
does that symbol have some other meaning?
It looks like a sun to me?
yup. It could be of the light, the stars, or even winged light, or the sky prince
Eagh
I forgot who made this compilation
idk, But I don't think the king could be corrupted so easily, being the one who is able to control the elements, and being the person who invokes us for the first time.
I think Bicky made it
why are krills meanie heads
They just want a kiss
They are corrupted, but yeah, they are not to be messed with.
Ooh, this is actually my headcanon about Megabird. They're not exactly one entity, but rather a collection of all living beings acting as one.
Also, I like to think that the narrator that guides you in the beginning of the game (the new one) is actually Megabird/the Light, and this reinforces the theory that the Megabird/the Light isn't one person, but actually exists as all living beings of the Light.
If you pay close attention, you'll notice the narrators keep switching to different people talking. First, it mentions spirits as seperate from them, and then later starts talking from their perspective ("The spirits of this realm have been long awaiting your arrival" and then later "As spirits, we became many") , and then starts switching perspective again, ("With their light, we faded away" and "Go forth child, bring our spirits home", now talking about spirits seperately from them). One more time, it switches to a perspective of a winged light ("Draw near, so we can start you on this journey")
Its almost as if this narrator is everyone at once. And I mean everyone
The mindset I have with this is like the saying "We are the universe trying to understand itself"
Or think of it like the Egg, where everyone on Earth is actually one person. Every living being of Megabird isn't just born from the Megabird/the Light, but essentially is a part of the Megabird or in other words, every living being is an incarnation of the Light, existing as different beings but still form one group and acts as one (Megabird)
Yes !!!!!
Tbh, I kinda see the Light and Megabird as different entities, but no different either.
The Light is where all living beings are born, and the Light is actually the existence of everyone. If you think about it, everyone is a "child of light", being existences born from the Light and effectively being an incarnation of the Light. Megabird is just the result of it, where all living beings born from the Light unite together to form what we know as the Megabird, like a galaxy, but acting together as one since pertty much all living beings are one because they are the Light itself. So Megabird and the Light are sort of different, but are really no different from each other at the same time
Its just that one is the source, and the other is the existance of it itself, but still the same entity in a sense
Im surprised yall understand this cause this seems pretty complex even for me, lol
Welcome to Lore chat š
Lol, Ive been here for over a year, Im kinda a lore veteran. I just feel like this kind of viewpoint is more complex than the others that I've seen. At least the way I explained it
Tho, I did went away for a while
Megabird is light, Megabird is life.
At least that is what it looks like.
Yeah, pretty much
The only thing that puzzled me now about this chat is HOW IS THERE A 1 MINUTE SLOWDOWN!?
Is this chat so dead and abandoned rhat actually NO ONE decided to remove it!?
Hey @thin dirge, did you get enough sneep snorp today?
Ask the brib bot. That slowdown has been here since I joined.
Last I checked, this was here a month ago! Ok, maybe even more than a month!
yup
Mods abandoned this chat and forgotten the 1 minute cooldown
Alright, when I run into one, I should tell them to turn off this slowmode
oh, a mod does show up when trouble does erupt. I suppose they think the slowmode is necessary.
Feels more like to weardown players to learn more about the game š
I think it got turned on when chat got too hyped up that one time. I dont remember which one it was tho
I think that either Megabird was born from the Light like all creatures (birds, manta, etc.) seem to manifest from, OR the Light comes from the Megabird itself. Either way thereās an inherent relationship between it and the capital L āLightā powers of the world.
I heard some talk of the Isle elder and came running because theyāre my favorite
The dawn elder deserves to have only his constellation to show up in his temple scene.
Anyone else agrees?
It originally did, but got changed
Its probably for the newbies
Dawn Elder my beloved why do they shun you
yup. I am not agreeing with it being part of the tutorial.
It feels off to existing players, and may confuse new players to why that temple as 6 different shapes that are constellations.
I canāt fathom why honestly
Honestly, the constellations seem randomly placed as well. When it first happened on beta, I sent a feedback to at least change the formation of those constellations, so that it woukd mirror the Elders on the Eden door. I did this because of a headcanon about a certain constellation we see in Home whenever we choose the constellations in the Sky, which is also on the plate in the Light/Orbit
I'd be more happy to see just dawn's constellation, and then the ever present text hints would explain to skykids to go to the other realms and see their elders.
Not just Dump that sky writing on moths and send them on their way to the giant SKY logo.
Actually, that happens. But its when you first enter Prairie social area instead.
yup, right after you did dawn and start flying to daylight prairie, there be the Sky logo
Not the Sky logo, the other Elders part. When you first enter Prairie social area, it'll tell you about the other Elders and tell you to awaken them in their temples. The camera will pan towards the Prairie temple in the distance, which is actually viewable from the social area of Prairie
welp, there you have it. Why bother the poor old man with jamming other elder constellation with his?
It feels like it spoils a players first time clearing a temple.
"congrats on helping your first- and here are 5 more!"
If TGC wonāt give the Dawn Elder love then we must

Oh- I have idea butā¦
Well they didnāt turn on slowmode when the last quest of Proph showed up (it was very crazy)
Get some sleep
Yes
Personally I like entraining the idea that the Elders are training a new elder (our little moth kid)
Why else would be doing the same run again and again... and again... aside from going to the great beyond and getting yeeted by onto the planet for the sake of getting more candles?
I think we have the potential of being the same type of figure as the Eden King figure. He created the kingdom but led its destruction, we help fix the kingdom and lead its rebirth
What is gratitude?
The first Sky season?
But what is it? What does it mean? What do the spirits represent?
considering it's the first sky season, i think it's very very vague
You're saying it doesn't mean anything
Someday, I hope we get to explore the inside of the Eden castle, Cause I wanna see what truly happened to the King of Eden
Ye, no lore
Just cosmetics
Also you can't change my mind that after we enter the door of light in orbit the floor just opens up and we just fall right back home, because this thought makes me laugh.
Is there an actual quest in the halloween place? Iāve been running around for 20 minutes and havent found anything other than the npcs and maybe āyoshiās crabā
yeah, gratitude is very devoid of any sort of lore compared to the following seasons, heck the memories don't really tell us a lot about them aside from them just vibing š BUT i kinda have disjointed ideas about them that i wanna share if you don't mind
gratitude's main color is orange, and in sky's color coding, orange is the color of the flame, the color of connection (to others and i think to megabird too) so theyre heavily implied to be related to that concept
so i think theyre whole deal is to encourage others to be grateful for what they have, the gifts they were given, all that. probably most of all, to be thankful to megabird and the light
ok this is more of a headcanon of mine but in addition to the shrines, i think they also prepare and hold festivals of gratitude.. they give me that sort of vibe hehe
i hope this is coherent XD
RIP Resh š
Woah š
I like to imagine gratitude as being some sort of celebration in the sky world. All the seasons seem to revolve around Skys cultures, same with rhythm being some sort of bird festival- which makes sense, considering flight tends to be a major role in sky
Iāve imagined the reason why capes existing on spirits might be related to the Prophecy, what if they premade them for incoming skykids that would exist in the future after hearing the stories from the prophets? None of the capes seem to fit their bodies so it makes sense
They also donāt seem to be able to fly considering they used boats as a main way of transport, either they had a strange sense of style or it was for their incoming sky children long after theyāre all gone
maybe they made capes to add onto their legacy for skykids to wear? Iām feeding into this too much PLEASE help me
I donāt know if this belongs hear to please tell me if it doesnāt / belong in the lore channel. So Iāve notice that the big metal thing in the flying race area kinda looks like a angel (not the poeple with wings the hug spinning rings with eyes) agin i dont know if this belongs hear its just somthing ive noticed (goimg to sleep so ill see if anyone say something in the morning)
Interesting observation
The thing in Balley is actually an arroy or smthng along the lines (I forgot whatās it called but itās purpose is to observer the rotation of the solar system/planet)
Also, if anyone has nitro pls send this emoji because it has the name of the object thing
But ye, I like the idea of it being the biblically accurate angel
NVM, FOUND IT ITS ORRERY
I rather thought it was a gyroscope
Which aligns with the fact that a few platforms there rotate, notably the ones above which the gyroscopes are
Ohhhh ok thanks!
Np
Werenāt they just astronomic sundialsā¦?
Valley has best view of the sun so-but idea of it being an angel sounds cool too
ever i saw yoshiās dialogue ive been thinking, he obviously is trying to give the pumkin to us because he doesnt want it anymore. surely that would mean when we get cosmetics from spirits they no longer have them. it could be that when we free them and then get cosmetics, we actually strip the spirits essence and what makes them unique?
live server world map when

Be nice to me, I'm working on it I promise š„ŗ š
There's the chinese one I think but there's some inconsistencies...
If what youāre saying is true (which I think it is) then there might be some symbolism somewhere šš
Just putting this here in hopes that someone will say something really smart because I ran out of braincells
While the map is nice, it looks a bit more of an illustration than an accurate map of the world.
Sort of like comparing a subway map to an actual map of the city.
Each season has a theme and expands on the main plot of Sky.
I was not part of the seasons before season of enchantment, so have not looked at them much.
What @brave thicket was saying makes sense and may be on the right track.
All that I can say about season of gratitude is it is the first season in the game, and seemed to be the devs' way of showing gratitude to the beta players that were playing at the time.
The map I'm gonna do is not going to be to scale either tbh, I'm not patient enough to do something you can pinpoint spirit locations in
My goal is to figure out what the world of sky looks like first and foremost, with notable features being depicted. That with my illustrative style well... won't make a map like you find in geography textbooks xD
oh
Probably gonna be closer to this...
thank you
I posted dis to lore channel too, but we know it's from China, I want bigger global official one, they shouldn't just throw this big breaking lore like nothing in net ease but nothing on twitter
I'm planning on mapping Valley first since I already got an idea. The oob pics I took show most of the flying race is spent diving down the mountain, explaining why it takes longer than the sliding one that mostly zigzags on a less steep incline.
I already told Raider about this and may have mentioned it here, but Eden's placement is inconsistent in Valley; it's toward the left when you enter the ice rink, right ahead when you enter the sliding race (the start is slightly turned to the left, but not enough to see Eden this directly) and straight up missing in the citadel and flying race.
I'm gonna assume the sliding race placement is just so the player gets reminded of the end goal and use the ice rink placement for mapping purposes since it's consistent in three key areas (social area, ice rink and temple).
Yup, some places feels a bit off and other places dont seem to fit together (like dream village is not even there while sliding down the last stretch of the races).
Seeing what the whole looks like would be cool.
Dreams village arrived later, it's possible it's too detailed to add to a map we('re supposed to) only see for a moment. But if you stop and take a moment to look, you can see roofs peeking from the clouds !
What bugs me is Hermit Valley. Where do you fit that ??? And how is the entrance to Dreams Village so close to both the coliseum AND the social area ???
why is grandpa in the boneyard whats the lore?
This might sound dumb but why wasnt The King ever added to the game, or just in a cut scene? Its hinted that he exists with the many, MANY symbols (kinda like
) scatered all over the realms, and the over all story. ||The star-halo looking thing was an actual prop which i only saw once back in Enchantment idk how that person got it, and it was used in promotional art for pre release aka Light awaits||. There was concept art, a complete layed out story, even a suspicious model that looked like The King in the game's files which someone extracted (big NO-NO btw). So just, why? Was it about money, bad In-game performance, or would it have reduced the impact of ||Eden and rebirth|| when u got to meet and probably save/free The King over and over again? It works with the Elders because well they are memories/fragments of the past we can interact with thanks to the unique properties of the flame/light.
This got to long and boring to read lol.
This is the notes I got so far, bear with my scale as I had to adjust stuff so it fits. Kinda bums me out that I had to improvise on some things but I take suggestions on how to rearrange stuff.
Yeah, some things are depicted from above while others are depicted sideways. I will fix that when I got placement down.
Wait so yāknow what diamonds are right. Well they are scattered among the realms and can be found on bookshelves in Vault of Knowledge. VoK is very technological so it might be like a power source. It is also found in dreams on the floating boats
But in Flight there is no diamond at least none that I think of. Maybe spirits use technology and some donāt. I know itās no an original theory but I thought of something else. At the end of the trailer for season of flight there is darkness everywhere
Maybe darkness took over like you know in forest. They cut down so many trees just to create advanced tech. I mean look at the temple. It has advanced tech. Not like VoK level of advanced but still tho. But in flight they are all so peaceful with no darkness raining over. It is probably cause they are hidden or not too advanced in tech
But at the end of the trailer we see it flooding with darkness so I think they were jealous or atleast to be like other spirits. More technological. Sooo they started to cut down trees mine some rocks and darkness either saw the hidden place which was not infested in darkness and want that place for themselves orrr just like forest well uhh gave in to technology being so advanced that u know darkness took over
And there is no war so kind of original :))
I was wondering if there is any sistematized way to access all sky lore, instead of interrupt someone here, because i do not want to disturb the discussions
Best regards!
I think it might've been limitations. If you look into the story concept of Eden, you would immediately know thats a BIG no-no on phones. Like, the ideas are amazing, but from just looking alone, you would realize that its too big for phones to handle
Checking the pins is a good idea, but I wish they pinned the lore moff document.
Yeah, completely forgot about that lol. thanks though!
Or the Eye of Eden, now that I look at it. And in the last stop before Eden!
How can i do that? And thankyou in advance!
Hi guys, I've been reading sky lores just recently and learnt that there used to be dark stones in the hidden forest but now it has been replaced with darkness plants. Anybody here knows if there are still dark stones lying around and where can I find them
Welp not only that, when you leave dreams to the colliseum, you go under the race bridge. But when you leave collisuem to dreams, you go out the side gate, which you can see from dream village and there is not gateway for the boats to drop you off at.
love the map! š
I would think that Dreams Village is at the deepest point of Valley, and closer to the social space because the ride cuts out. Then Hermit valley is right on the mountain, on the other side than that of the races???
I have only seen one diamond in flight, on a boat in the Builders memory. I think that the flight spirits chose not to use the technology purposefully to combat the darkness, but in the trailer we see something went wrong
Well the diamonds that we light on doors are theorised to be made of it
Well maybe the timeline of Flight takes place before the invention of the diamond? And when the diamond is introduced, they're as taken by it as the rest of the spirits
And then comes the darkness, seen at the end of the trailer, which we know is the result of the diamond
Thatās what I read, that they needed to make the ending less final
We don't know for sure what caused the darkness in the trailer, but we do hear a roar !
That looks perfect to me
We do see the coliseum pretty closely from the village, to my defense. But fair ! I will push the village toward the social area.
Hermit valley is āthatawayā from Ice rink, exactly! āŗļøš. I think of it as beyond that cliff part with a little candles bridge
Random thought, but if the wind paths existed many many years ago, and they link to every realm, and there's a wind path thing in the starlight desert... does that mean that the starlight desert and everything in season of the little prince is canon? (there's clearly a way to the wind paths that you can see in the starlight desert)
I'd like to think so, given how Little Prince embodied childhood just like our Skykids do
The Little Prince visited many worlds, right? So maybe he visited the world of Sky as well
The way I see it, the Wind Paths fell with the fall of Sky
And the diamonds caused the fall of Sky
Therefore the diamonds caused the darkness of the wind paths
I like your drawing of Valley and you actually reminded me of a theory of mine I never spoke about
Notice how there is no big mountain as big as Yeti's Peek on that spot near the IceRink? Or at least not "tall" about how it seems to look from the Solitary Sunset Peek
I think the only mountain that remotely looks like a the pointy end of Yeti's Peek is the mountains we cannot reach behind the Valley's Coametics Chiosks
So, in my mind the skilift line is more extended than what you drew (maybe by passing under some sort of canyons/tunnels, thus crossing the usual skying route we use to slide from social area to the icerink)
The only reason why we don't see anything in Yeti's Peek background is because weather changed during the "day" at the "time" reach the warming sunset view
Again, spot on for you drawing, I know it must have be very hard to align all thing...
IMHO Maybe the curves to Citadel are abit more bent toward North / Eden. And the both the skiing & flying race should be able to align more to get a straighter arriving lane to the Stadium
Anyway, great work... Maybe I'm overthinking it too much
I was testing out the spell versions of the new cosmetics and then i realized that our sky children look like they're taking the spell out of them. does this mean that they are ale to do magic OR did they once have the ability to do magic? by magic I mean the powers that the elders have or a slightly lessened version of that.
secret place spoilers - ||why is nat always crying? ||
I think they mention being trapped in their room or afraid. But also I personally donāt think that the halloween event is especially ācanonicalā considering that it involves actual 4th wall breaking with the Office and the NPCS all being based on actual devs - so personally I donāt really think thereās much to speculate on the broader lore implications of it, and that itās really just more of a fun easter egg-filled holiday event. You also donāt need to spoiler block in this channel! We talk about spoilers all the time.
Forest elder is just an edgy teen, twins are supposed to be adults and the wasteland elder is just having a midlife crisis?
That's not the age of the elders
Otherwise how could isle elder represent birth. The realms themselves represent each part of life
So a friend and I were exploring the wind paths and saw theseā¦blackā¦floatiesā¦things
Reminded me a bit of Eden, honestly
We went to the source, but there's a spirit gate blocking it off
We could see past it, so I took a picture and sharpened it.
What could it be?
Isle Elder does not have to represent birth themselves, the realm just does. And ārebirthā could easily be attributed to the Isle Elder if we wanted to say that
Skykids are nuclear. Pure energy.
Iād saaaaaay itās a graphical glitch? But let me see if I can find them too, or if anybody else can. It does look odd huh
It reminded me of the end of the trailer honestly
My friend saw it too, so maybe it's supposed to be there?
