Some of the screenshots are from the beta version of a quest that has not been released in live yet though, that shouldn't be posted here yet. Even if it has changed, we wouldn't know that technically because the quest cannot be done in live right now that makes it still beta content
Ahhh ok forgot about that heheh
agreed.
Oof I think it's best you delete it now rear
I did already
thx!
Don't wanna be mean but if I scroll up I can still see them might wanna double check 😅
Oop
Its the early version of the Seasonal area tho... Is talking about outdated versions of beta not allowed here now?
I thought its fine as long as its not future content, and talking about outdated stuff in beta is alright...
The thing is, something about a quest was mentioned, and since the end of the trailer has that dark theme to it, it's possible that the early version will be the one used later in the live version. I'd say it's wise to talk about it after the season ends or tell people you want to talk about beta stuff in the beta general channel (or something) and to join you there if they want to talk about it.
Oh, ok
(Huh, no wonder this chat is krilled so often, its because of that annoying 1 minute cooldown... Whats up with that? Its been like that for ages!)
This looks like the spirit we first relive in Isle. The one in the tutorial?
Their hair is different
The hair is from the saluting caption but the body matches base game whisperers and some other spirits, one being candle maker. But no spirit that I found has both that body and that hair.
Probs a random spirit
its almost 12am and I feel so tired so im just gonna say my theories if thats okay
WhAT IF- all of these seasons... are leading up to a final season.. or maybe not season but the end of the story
like y'know how most games tend to have endings within there stories? what IFFFF every season of sky is slowly directing us to the final piece of knowledge. Like in cave of prophecy you can see ||a known elder and another unknown elder. who are they? they've been in cave paintings|| season of sanctuary paintings, and I believe in some other areas aswell
but it seems as if ||they're fighting, or something..|| hohohoh
Is this a reference from an animation that was on netflix? I forgot the name and a movie but I do remember the character and this type of style.
The last season is entirely based on the book le petit Prince as it was a Collab if thats what you are refrecning?
No clue I was just trying to figure it out
The Netflix thing you’re talking about is a movie based off of an old book called The Little Prince. The movie is a lot different from the book.
I could see some inspiration from the movie itself too
btw, I missed out on the whole season :D
I think the TLP theme we hear is from the movie.
Hmm, considering how Sky is based off of TLP, I can see some inspiration from the movie ver. in Sky's concept timeline/story
The fox backpack is inspired from the movie
Well, its a collab, but I mean the game as a whole.
Like how in the movie the Prince grew up and forgot being a child and needed reminding while in the Sky concept, its the same thing we do for the Prince who became corrupted King, as we save them in Eden
Sky itself isn't based off TLP, at least not only. Raider did point out that the crossover expanded the horizon of what we could compare the game to (stories and children's books), but it doesn't mean that they are the same.
In the game, TLP spends his time questioning adults and mourning the Rose, feels less like a story about adults being children at some point too. We could parallel that with us living in the ruins of "adults" (ancestors) and feeling a sense of loss as we thread among ghosts...
I also don't think the little prince is comparable to the King or Prince in sky despite the titles
At least, not the way we know them right now.
It's butters interpretation but I agree with Vela here
It’s most likely the King
It’s called The Little Prince, the style used resembles the one in the movie (I think)
Uhh I have a question, every since the season of flight was released I get to see different breed of birds in sky, but what ever struck me the most is the paper plane birds in bird's nest. I'm just wondering if they're actually paper or were brought to life? That's all
I am not sure however all light creatures are a manifestation of light coming together to form those creatures
I don't think paper exists in the world of Sky
We write on de wall (I mean DRAW)
Yes, but paper as a medium doesn't exist in Sky
Hello LORE, I've not yet explored the season Flight area but I'm curious
How many entrances to Flight have you spot on the 6 Realms?
6
Wait there are other entrances!?
I know of the main entrances:
- from Forest Social area
- from the Cave Of Prophecies (the sunny area among clouds at the top of the cave)
- from underground cave below Sunny Forest
- from Enchantment Ark
which else did I miss?
There's one at Sanctuary, Hermit Valley, Forgotten Ark and Starlight Desert
It connects all the seasonal areas, interesting
Do you think the previous seasons will play a part in this season's quests? Or the storyline in general?
So are they all connected to Seasonal Areas?

It's like Aviary but connected to seasonal areas
So we should seek one entrance in Sanctuary too?
…maybe…? I think I need to see the trailer again to be sure
Oh yeah sanctuary too (near the waterfall high above the clouds)
Oh wht of the blue force field thingy….or is that meant to be discovered later
Underground cave
And
Forgotten Ark
Do you have any picture of that?
I was there last night but I must have missed that
There might a pathway around Sanc too Also I got an excuse to see the trailer again
A close look
…blue…force field…?
..no signpost there? Sneaky devs
Yeah there are only signposts at Cavern, Hermit Valley and Cave of Prophecies
And to think my original idea from months before 1 YEAR AGO (actually) it was announced was that the wind signpost above the Sanctuary Bells was pointing to somewhere
But its design is different from Flight ones
Yes, but since I discovered Sanctuary (I was a moth) by following the signpost ... the only one I couldn't connect with anywhere was that single singpost 🔔
Is there a singpost in Starlight Desert too?
Were is the one in cave of prophecies located?
Fly up and there's a cleft
Ty!
Do we know if there's one at assembly's treehouse area or does the only wind path connect to the cave under sunny Forest?
It could be interesting to take a look, but I now that I think of, there is no guarantee that all Seasonal map will be connected
After all even the Caves on the left side of Prairie once were a seasonal from Gratitude, but back then maybe the seasons were just scattered among the realms
True If nobody else is on rn I'll check
What do you think the sky kids are made of?
Maybe Rythym was the last scattered season and Enchantment the first main area
Although there were the Elemental Lights
Yeah I generally see rhythm as the last scattered season
if u see theres a tunnel that haven't open yet on top cave prophecy where theres bench on midle sky. u think it will connect to this new season?
Weve noticed were trying to figure out if ALL season areas are connected cus alot of them are :D they have the blocked of wind paths
Except, the devs said it themselves. When they released TLP, they said Sky is based off of the feelings of TLP, and you could see a lot of things about Sky that's somewhat based off of it
Rock, very solid rock, and maybe even with a certain electro magnetic capacity, to store alot of energy inside and to able to repel minor hit without a scratch even if Eden rocks hurts us, without breaking us ( sort of like atoms hit with each other, but not really, unless a very big and fast hit☢️ )
If I were to recall, when it was getting released, I think in #news at the time, it said Sky was based off TLP in a sense
(Im gonna have to find it again)
So I've checked and I think we can rule Assembly treehouse out I do not think there is a wind path here although other can feel free to continue searching
On their Instagram, they have a series that explain why they chose the little prince to collab with and why it is important
There are also many concept arts of the season
Someone said that there is a flight path in the starlight desert anyone know where it is the area is big and I have no direction lol
It is near the Beckoning Ruler’s island on the right
Yea, but which rock?
My guesses are pomice rock or obsidian, cuz both have a strong termal resistance. But, one is less denser than water, which make it float and the other, is very resistant to impacts, respectively.
So, I still don't know
Not the most logical option but I've always imagine were made of clay lol
Yeah, watched the first part and Jenova said that TLP is a fundamental piece that Sky took inspiration from
So butter still got a point tho.
(and @neat flint)
Well my bad then. I don't really watch streams or follow the devs on social media, most of what they say, I learn secondhand here lol.
Spirit in lumberjack's memory (that can be found in tearful light miner's as well) has a book.
Beckoning Ruler, you say? Around the little lamp among the clouds??
It’s close to the little planet tunnel and also the island
Wait I can get a pic for better explanation
I managed to find it I've got a pic with me if it's taking you a while!
Beckoning Ruler is the one whose island looks like a crown !
That yellow hole there?
It’s pretty hard to notice
Too many clouds
Okay, sadly I cannot spot the lantern/lamp among the clouds anymore, relatively to my pic it should be looking down in front of me, sometime popping out of the clouds for some seconds
Has it been patched out?
this confirms that the starlight dessert is indeed canon to the sky lore...?
This season is like a lore addition to the past seasons
Mmm idk, Sanctuary had some cosmetics more Modern like IRL because it was a pause to take us away of COVID-19
So not all is canon... Also remember that Vault is dreamscape/filled with memories so...
It could be similar to something in real sky, but more dreamlike
I think that the area and the spirits are canon but the prince and the main quests aren't, that's just what I believe tho ¯_(ツ)_/¯
This makes me have a theory about the starlight desert
speak
The area could be a memory of the same distance area we saw in the Switch trailer, those desertic lands with just rivers
But since Vault its about the growing old stage of aging, almost ready to dying, it could be the reason it's all barren and spirits theme gloomy and dark
Starlight desert is a dream like my last theory about the vault
The desert we’re experiencing is an illusion. I can imagine the desert being like wasteland
Though it seems the farest from that Eden mountain view, wasteland should be more closer. As I said it remind me of the distant lands from that cinematic trailer
But drid out by the time of the senile age
Should also be noted that the tagline for it “Where dreamlike worlds collide” really adds to that whole dream thing
Yeah, where planets/asteroids turns into a "islands"
Oh, I didn't notice till now, beside the broke gian pipe below the barrack in Eden (the exit of the first area) there are 2 pipes too on the right side in the background
is the oob there the same area as the rest of eden?
Just asking
i had a theory that states that the starlight dessert is a realm with anomalous properties, related to the prince's storyline and sky's storyline could be seen as a sort of "mental prison" in which the greatest weaknesses of people are the jails of the spirits
aside from that i cant fit the area into the lore xD
I just realized, that if it will ever be a tunnel leading to Assembly Treehouse, even if it's not an official Social Area, it will become the key nexus, the most connected map
the lore timeline is gonna get complicated in terms of the cloud tunnels being retconned into the seasonal areas— it would be tragic if the Ark crew could’ve gotten out of there if they could only fly… though possibly similar issues wrt the original ferrybost from main GW— who set that up and when? Why didn’t they escape with that?
interesting, maybe since the lore teaser ended with the paths becoming corrupted, that's why?
I think it's fitting forest got a network of tunnels as shortcuts to different places, but getting lost is easy. Perhaps it was meant to be misleading after all...
Guys, you know how Eden is in ruins? Well, It's gotten more decrepit...
You guys, are you talking about the end part of the trailer for this season? Its scary
(this was from the isle cutscenes lol. Probably some weird bug tho)
There are several ideas, some think that it's opening up a way to get and letting a krill in. I'm betting on it being Eden. The light creatures do need a path to Eden, even if its dark and scary.
Ooooooooh.. eden would be a great idea.. then when you travel to the eden tunnel, you are spotted by a krill rightaway.. hahaha.. i’d get a heart attack
I just wrote something up about how it could relate to the time stasis theory
oooh
The first pic looks like cave of prophecies
mountains maybe? for the last one
It's from the wind paths. I think it's the dark filter they may use as evidenced by the end of the trailer
Edit: accidentally said aviary so I fixed it
ohh ok
Woops, not aviary, meant the wind paths
I found a passage entrance in cave of prophecies at the top. i wonder when its gonna open?
When it's time
I just followed a wind path into Sunny Forest underground
Could simply happen with the Ark tunnel. There's a krill around here after all.
I hope theres gonna be a wind path to ark because brbrbr I hate flying there and taking the stupid slow boat and doing the stupid slow flying across the dessert.
This whole wind tunnel thing... I'm gonna need to update and refine my map, but the position of the wind paths on the right of the social area places it very conveniently within reach of a good chunk of the kingdoms...
What I mean by "within reach" is that it's on the inside part of the spiral, so you could draw paths going to and from this place without huge detours. I wonder if these would be more like trading routes then...
What if the wind path islands drifted with the winds ? Not so drastically as to change realms altogether, but enough for the place to be elusive enough (as long as clouds hide it) to avoid more forceful attempts at industrialization or even submission if the spirits that wanted to use darkstone were in power ?
That could explain its... sudden appearance, since there was not even a cloud there before the update lol.
there is, you can see it in ark. just explore some areas and find a currently closed tunnel
gonna repost something
Guys, you know how Eden is in ruins? Well, now it's gotten even more decrepit...
(this was from the isle cutscenes lol. Probably some weird bug tho)
Visual bug I do believe!
Yeah, it was reported.
Isle isn't the only place the castle is missing too; you can see that from Valley too. Eerie...
And in the wind paths too haha.
I think it's pretty much everywhere, I just don't want to double check.
||Minecraft World border|| 😅

(It’s a bad joke I know)
Maybe TGC pressed the big red button that made Eden go kaboom
if you think about it, do the wind paths really count as part of forest? I mean, they have tunnels to all of the realms, just because the first one we find is in forest it doesnt mean its all just part of forest...
That is true. Maybe the island in general is above forest. And then the wind paths stretch out into the different realms.
Makes me question how the wind paths were created.. were they all clouds, or did the clouds come to cover the paths after the wind stopped?
The Wind Paths seems like it’s more of a middle point between many of the realms, I wouldn’t call it apart of the forest myself. I also think it’s possible that the tunnels we can see and fly around today aren’t the exact same way they used to be back in the Ancestor’s days. Someone mentioned the flying Valley Race and how everything looks all ruined and janky even with the clouds still set up as a kind of “track.” I think it’s probably the same deal with the paths, and they’ve eroded and warped time. This explains why we can’t enter them all yet.
I think the proph caves were in the teaser!
I think they’re just between realms, possibly forest and prairie? The area seems to combine the two aesthetics and the quest giver used to be Ayin’s apprentice
I don’t see their entrances appearing throughout the world as a retcon either. I’m fairly sure in at least one promo for the season it’s mentioned that the wind paths have now “opened up” for us to explore. I’d bet that with the restoration that the skykids have been doing the world itself is starting to heal - which is kind of obvious - which lead to the old paths revealing themselves again.
Also this ^^^ Considering whats been hinted at with our QG taking the Flight spirits to live on the island together on their own, I think it’s plausible they were attempting to escape the rapid technological industry boom due to the invention/discovery of dark stone.
It could also have been a measure when the wastelands started to become corrupted, since it’s possible it could spread to other realms. In the teaser the gate and wind paths turned dark, maybe it was spreading that way and they had to shut them down/they shifted closed?
The apprentice could have had a disagreement with Ayin and the other elders and that’s why they left
There’s a lot of traditional prairie technology in the Paths, and an emphasis on harmony with the light creatures
Ooooh those are both good points. I think that another obvious sign is the Tinkering Chimesmith’s spirit memory; they’re holding a nervous, uncertain stance and looking through one of the stone arches into the clouds in their final memory point, almost like they’re aware of something out there that’s worrying them.
I have to wonder though, since the Paths connect to every zone, there’s surely got to be one that leads to Eden right? Considering it seems to be a place of high importance in the kingdom, it would make sense.
Probably if it was the capital, but they might not have a passage to it/might have closed it when it uh. Exploded
I wonder if the ending bit in the trailer was a look into the past instead of a future event. Like, could that be a snapshot of everything going wrong? though god i do hope it’s something we get to see in present game
that would be so dope tgc pls it could be, and it would be more a hopeful story since that means the skykids are actively helping/healing, rather than this being a time in the past in stasis
wait whats thats from what when was that in the game
Is this from Beta Sky?
Nope, this was for a while up to a certain update. Around May
Oh??? What’s the context?
Somewhere around that time, yes
Yup! The old intro
https://youtu.be/VXnhn-s7UBw
Yeah, I think it might’ve been for the switch release!
Anyways, how has everyone’s day / night been?
Common factors in new and old intro:
- Thunder and lightning like in Eden

- The symbol with a dot, a circle, and 6 spikes
A few differences:
- With the new intro, it's easier to tell who's speaking. With the old one, I just figured it was the Megabird.
- The question of where did the stars fall from, and where did they fall to?
- In the old intro, all the constellations are shown. In the new one, the Isle constellation is the only one. I really think the Isle elder holds a key importance.
I'm attaching a pic of the portal from Orbit after the new update. It looks…very familiar
all good, the new season area is exciting.
Though I am a little bit disappointed that the wind tunnels do let you fly through them yourself. You just dive in and hope the wind catches you and drags your skykid through.
I've been pretty energetic today and exams start from tomorrow
It's almost 1 AM here so I'm in the middle of my bedtime routine
Thanks for asking!
Yay everyone’s doing well.
||Meanwhile I’m done with typing class and wants lore
||
Typing can be really useful!
I know someone who really benefits from it ^^
Food for thought.
If mantas had different looks as they grow in size. Would this also apply to butterflies, birds, whales and Jellyfish?
I mean how much bigger can a butterfly get
But yes for the others. They all have life cycles, so it's not a stretch to believe so
Maybe not butterflies, they seem to stay the same, ||jellyfish however, they seem to grow up to be kings
( quite literally||
I wonder what a baby whale looks like then?
bottom right looks like baby fish.
Awwww

and butterflies in this concept art either suggest butterflies are baby mantas, or related, or just a side idea while working on the growth stages.
||Then that means we have butterfly call
||
what in the new season?
hmmm...
I thought it was a variant of the bird call, as in a light bird?
But the creature the light whisperer worked with looks different from the typical manta
Doesn’t one of the concept arts say Pygmy manta or something as such?
Wait where are the babies going?
on an adventure! (I have no idea, lol)
You know what, I did wonder what those flying creatures are that were sent off by the Isle Elder
You can see them near the Elders' temples
- Prairie when you summon the mantas
- Forest when you stop the rain
- Valley flying race
- From Graveyard into Battlefield
Not sure about Vault though
But you do see them after death in Eden!
Does battlefield summon krills
And does vault do spirit mantas possibly?
Vault has spirit mantas, yes
But I don't understand the question…?
I actually don’t know where I was going either

did you mean that cosmic mantas are just magical creations in vault?
Something like a spectral familiar?
If cosmic mantas were real spirits, then that would be an interesting detail since they are the only ones that can do this.
Yeah like if isle elder summoned it like the mantas in prarie or the krills in battlefield
Just to add, I am not a fan of how the cosmic manta elder is nothing like the elder manta in sanctuary island.
They are either a different species, or that there is something else the devs did not clarify on with those supposed elder mantas.
It looks like a caterpillar and a sea worm
I wonder what that line spirit manta in the starlight desert is there for
The one that only appears when you did the first quest in season of the prince?
No idea, but I love it.
I wish that the manta and the krill in starry desert stays in the area and not just disappear after you did all of the quests
The manta stayed there
I sometimes don't see it, and assume it only appears if someone else summons it by doing the quest.
Same thing with the krill that exists in the out of bounds of the desert, so it is not even a threat. 😦
Interrupting here, sorry, but I noticed something else about the old intro – the music playing is the same music as the Forest temple area
Isn't it those small cute mantas that go around the bells in Sanctuary Islands
Yessss exactly that
I have to take a look and compare them. though they are both tiny and cute 🙂
Ok I got pictures
Didn't the one in the memory have a diamond on it?
ok, then yes, they match.
I remember what the new season one looked like, just not the sanctuary ones as well till I got a fresh look.
I'm fairly certain the new one in season had a diamond on it, can someone get a pic?
I will try!
Is it this, or are you confused with the icon?
maybe it is a baby manta call.
We got the normal manta, the cosmic manta, and now we got the pigmy manta call.
So, the game calls the babies, the light. And then the normal mantas, the elder manta, then cosmic manta and then elder cosmic manta
||We just need elder manta call
||
I notice that the calls work too! You deep honk and the creatures communicate back! It’s so cute
(bruh... why...)
Imagine a skykid with elder manta call

Lmao.. actually I don’t know if I’ve ever heard an elder manta call
Wait a minute..
what kind of manta is gonna carry a boat this huge?
manta abuse
Ok I checked and no, I think you might have mistaken with the midway point where they're only fixing bells on the topmost arch of the main island, but on their last memory point they're just looking at the bells on their island while tilting their head... kinda cute.
Oh dang you’re right! My bad
Elder spirit manta in Vault perhaps ?
Oh, I must've been lol, my bad
Well, time for a 45 minute commute home
Ripppp
Thanks everyone, again, you’re all the best

there are king jellyfish in eden, so reasonably those are huge, evolved version of the jellys we see
Anyway ummm I noticed a recurring thing in Valley... look at this then at the portal in home.
Dark stone keeps things floating?
It looks like a flatworm
Try again
Nah It's about how some of the architecture that has "twin" elements, including the portal, seem to be assymetrical following damage in very similar ways...
Hmm, it still looks cool hehe
Clouds
I have a creepyish secret for Halloween 👻
||ive been watching lore chat all this time for about 1 1/2 years and have been playing sky for 3
||
oh, so you are a vet?
Sure am
if you count me playing since gratitude hehe, hbu?
I consider anyone who played since beta a vet. I am not sure if that is accurate.
Though are definitely an seasoned skykid
Hmmmm
Could have the Tinkering Chimesmith created all the bells in Prairie? Cause I don’t see any others who create bells. HOWEVER I do see people like the talented builder building ships.
Remember that waving spirit and clapping spirit were also working on bells.
A “chimesmith” might be a specialized job title held by them is what I think. Bells might not be the same as chimes.
the minute cooldown
i’m dying
Early flight lore theory:
The ancestors used chimes and bells to attract certain light creatures to allow them to power their boats before the discovery of darkstone diamonds to power society.
Similar to horses in human society prior to engines.
As the need for power became more and more in the ancestors society, and power things which couldn't be done by creatures, such as lifts and bridges, they distilled the "light" power from the creatures in some (currently undisclosed) way, though there are theories in "raw materials" from the forest in the diamond forge concepts.
I need to write a sky lore book one of these days
“The holy sky book”
In the timeline, this feels like it comes before the likes of lightseeker and enchantment era, so we are getting different "layers" of the ancestors society.
My theoretical timeline:
Stars fell and started building a society
They started using creatures and learned that they were attracted by bells and chimes, hence the bells in prairie and forest.
They started using creatures to power, and allow them to fly in boats.
They learned to distil the light power as a power source and imbue them into power diamonds.
Logging and industry started, and slowly became worse, using up all the light.
At some point the child of light is sent down to the Isle of Dawn to overcome the trials, and taught the ancestors the way of controlling the elements, and so the elders become more powerful than other ancestors.
Lightseekers were sent out to discover new sources of light, and alchemists began to forge the light into different forms and create blessings.
Time passes and the world becomes more desolate and wasteland like, and darkness, now imbalanced to the light starts to take over.
The wasteland becomes a battleground to defend against the darkness.
More time passes and eventually as a show of power, a giant diamond is created at the heart of Eden.
The child of light ascends to The Light, but becomes trapped in the darkness.
In a similar way to a nuclear reactor overloading, the diamond held so much light it caused a massive imbalance in light and darkness, causing the storm.
Many years later the child of light, trapped mid ascention is able to form a vessel for light, but is balanced with the darkness to recall the spirits back to orbit.
That vessel is us.
As we distribute light back around the kingdoms, we are given the ability to shepard the trapped ancestors back to The Light, and so let the child of light finally ascend to the stars.
so uh @pure umbra about the third eye thing
it could be possible, then again with no mask there is no diamond on the child’s forehead. potentially it can be simply a mark on their head with no actual significance, or it is a way for light too seep out of the child’s body without too much of it escaping, as too much light can be overwhelming and detrimental
reason why the child would need that part of their body is so they can probably see much better in dark areas, considering this kingdom is infested in it.
Wow. This is a very interesting perspective. I loved it
thank u C:
So much knowledge
I love it
diamonds are a very prominent symbol in this game and i feel it has to do with a little bit of math and socio”economic” power (or environmental power, if you will)
can i go off on a rant abt it
Actually, that might make sense, even if the devs didn't mean it. I think that sounds pretty logical. Wow you are so creative
alright here i go
any diamond, found on a vault of knowledge lantern or a child’s mask, if rotated 45 degrees will look like a square.
a square has 4 sides of equal length and each of its corners measures up to 90 degrees. you may be wondering how the hell this is related to power.
a square can represent equality. a diamond can represent a star. if a square is tilted to look like a diamond, wouldnt it resemble a star of equality?
simply put, diamonds are a symbol of longing for the power of light to be even and proportional across all the realms. my guess is that there was an improper balance of the light/dark harmony that constitutes a healthy kingdom in this sense, making it the desolate kingdom we see today. The star being us, we can fulfil this ancient “SOS” in the form of a diamond by bringing light back to the kingdom
ok thats all i had to say
QWQQQQW- idk actually :c
Delish!
FINALLY, CONVENIENCE
NO MORE STUPID BOAT TRIPS TO ARK-MART
Wow thats great!!
Hımm. It'd be like the sound of the wind, something shrill but lightly
~Some cultures say that butterflies are actually fairies. We can also walk from here:)
idk i feel this theory is too far fetched. it couldve just been a simple insignia instead of an SOS
tru
Lol, Ark-Are-Lost!
darkstone instead.
Oh haha
This will change Sky any% and ng+ speedruns forever!
Oh! I forgot to show this. I am sure this was already shown in the lore chat. This is somewhere in Forest, I think. I think it was part of the season of Assembly. I have to look for this again to confirm.
I still find these tiny diamonds very interesting though.
Assembly kids getting into some mischievous behavior.

I’m sure the assembly kids are trying to make a gate
I wonder if the new update about the home shrine is to basically tell that the home shrine stone is connected to the Elders. The qg friend was told by them to give quests (to Skykids) after their death--so that the skykid could master their powers and become ready for something big by regular practice.
(so the elders hadn't truly died yet, knows skykids exist and gives them a constant task to do something after every run on Eden, so that the Skykids make themselves better for the upcoming and more harder times).
I'm too salty about that update to justify it with lore in a constructive way.
i was so confused with the home shrine thing-
like i was trying to get my daily task from the usual spirt guy but i couldnt so i thought it was a glitch
They barely have a purpose now standing infront of portals
I think it’s because people were complaining about how distance affected the button
They may be trying to separate the quest mechanism from seasonal activities, since seasonal quests are a whole thing now. Because questgivers have a new kind of quest to give, they’re probably going to phase out the nonseasonal qg
NOOOO
Idk if this was mentioned before but I just realized it the other day, but the stone things in the social space in each realm looks like grave stones. So I wonder who buried them and if that's part of the lore somehow?
I think concept art labels them as graves. Personally, I don’t think they had bodies to bury since the og lore had them return to megabird and such, but the graves could have been set up by the spirits themselves simply as a marker of their presence. Or maybe just magic, idk.
But good question...
I get what you mean by the home shrine--initially it kinda was scary but now it's tolerable for me (and probably even fascinating-ish, given that the eyes could be anything but specifically white, and that the eyes are then connected to the Elders, as if to mean something)
When i first saw the grave stones in valley, i thought "wow so many spirits here!" But then i realized they have no spirits

But do you realize there are grave markers along the walls in the Valley races and temples
Like a posthumous hall of fame?
Maybe it’s not the stone thing in home that is a grave stone, maybe it’s the stones in eden that originally had the same function as the home shrine
so what your saying is
Ive been thinking but maybe it makes more sense if the wind paths were how the spirits use get around their kingdoms and not the way we now use today because of how traveling in a straight line doesn't feel very organic?
Yeah that seems to be pretty much canon, considering that boats travel through the clouds
question
where do claps come from in the races
Memories? Probably haha. Since you "meditate" at the start of the race.
Er-
Maybe…?

Memories seem interesting but it could also just be non diegetic sound
I like this. I can get behind this.
what do the diamonds on the sky masks represent
Idk, there’s some theories about it being power and all or its just there for deco
Any idea what this purple string really means when u ride a manta?
Maybe it's a tether? Like it indicates that You have now been mantanapped?
Mantanapped ahahah-!
It does looks like a tether though, reminds me of the blue Avatar movie where you kind of connect with the creatures using the end of your hair strand?
The credit for coining that word is not mine, sadly
You are now attached to this manta and shall be subject to its chaotic cuteness from here on out
This manta is your manta now
Sadly, they really likes to throw us off their back into the sky
launched like a cannon
Deep inhale
Neck cranes back
Yeeet
Anyone had difficulties getting through the main doorway of Wind Paths? I lost count how many
times the wind pushed me off from the island and to the clouds below😭
Also after we "unblocked" the wind pathways prior to the first quest, it was kinda hard to navigate
around the area. The only path available right now was the one that
connects to Sunny Forest underground tunnel right?
Yes we've only opened up the one that connects to the sunny Forest cave
Wait if it's confirmed that spirits could not fly like how we use our capes to fly does that mean that the flying race in Valley pas the Citadel was actually a boat race for the spirits if that how they got around when they were alive
TRUE
ooh... yeah...
After all I don't think our skykids hear a music, it's a music we here...
But what if it were meta and also our skykids could sense it, the cheers and the soundtracks too , like a 6th sense... ||After all, they already see dead people
||
Manta pets
Like I like the memory idea but thinking about the possibility they put it in for the atmosphere from a different pov
for a second I almost was ready to tell you "There is no Avatar movie" but I realize you mean the blue alien smurffs one
spirit rides a manta in their memories. Make of that what you will...
It's a bummer indeed, but I like to take a look at the bright side:
"oh no I'm in Sanctuary and I want to reach the candle cake at the top.... let's use the manta's yeet as advantage"
It could be as Vela said, and maybe only the thrillseekers dared to do that 🏄♂️
but it could be a boat race, after all in the Prophecy final mural there are two boats close to each other that seems to be the Twins fighting with thei sticks/oars
True the kinda look like they are standing in boats
zoom the full picture
What it gets me more curious is that the Flight boats are exactly like the gondolas in the skilift from Village of Dreams
Since theirs are driven by mantas and the one in the ski lift are not.. it came natural to me to think about the Thresdrals in Harry Potter..
are those gondola dragged around by invisible mantas we cannot see ?
I think the gondolas are diamond-powered?
I know, but the random idea popped in my mind
There are invisible skeleton mantas dragging gondolas 🎃
Pfft
Anyway, this new season proves another old idea I had back, then with Dreams..
the ski lift line only seems to end where we get stopped on that landing platform, but there is another giant powerline pillar ahead
meaning the last stop wasn't the Yeti's hut, but something beyond in that direction
||Now its' confirmed there is a windpath behind that hut||
Also, maybe that tilted pillar is not broken as I thought, maybe they slowly build the skilift to create an automatic transport line to Flight Season map (perhaps after they met the Yeti, who was an hermit cut off from the society, dodging skypep)
oh!
I like that idea. That is very good observation, @boreal nebula.
Or maybe Yeti was against destroying his hut
Now it's confirmed, the Yeti is Shrek "Get off my swamp Peek"

Just thinking about the fact that spirits could not fly and seemed to use boats and/or light creatures to navigate is interesting and there alot to think through and add this knowledge to other things we've already known or theorized
Then did they just use capes for fashion purposes? I’m not complaining, capes are amazing
I suppose so it possibly be something like traditional clothing for or fashion ye
Normalize capes: they look amazing on everybody!
I still kind of hope to finally see if some of them could use it to glide at least
Since they're not holding light energy as our skykid I doubt they could do a "long" distance flight as from the 4 islands to the central island in Flight Map
Plus, it's called "Flight" , it should be mandatory they show us something
All I can say is
Edna Mode would be disappointed.
QG seems to be happy seeing skykids with flight powers; perhaps they can't cross that distance without boats.
Itdoes look very happy, she move around too
Ghost ping
I actually have a theory where the peices of light we collect during the races are actually spirits, possibly ones who are to weak to create memories on their own for the sky kids to relive.
ACTUALLY, to add to that. the lights are collected in a flame, we bring the flames to the elders and then the elders send the flame to the skies, perhaps the flames they send are the spirits we brought to them so that they may help the spirits ascend. Some elders encase the flames to protect them, or maybe so that the spirits can activate a mechanism as they are ascending (since its darkstone with flame it should activate some mechanisms) ie vault and forest.
oh, but the isle elder uses the flame we bring for their mask and powers, they dont launch the flame up, hmmm mybe disregard that last message i sent
Hm maybe the wax in orbit is from the spirits because we left before they could give skykids their change from purchases
Also the wind paths area is in a perfect spot to reach the seasonal areas. i drew on @rigid mural ‘s map for this
Honestly considering to redo that map tbh, it's just a handful because I'm the kind to put a lot of details if I don't force myself not to
Might also do some adjustments like placing the isle a bit farther away from prairie since the distance is a bit larger than I thought.
Might make Eden smaller too.
I also have an idea to rearrange vault, starlight desert and the end of wastes to make the view we get from the starlight desert make sense.
It's already quite wonderful even if there are scale adjustments you would like to make
yeah isle is a bit farther away from prairie and ark is farther away from main GW bc theres the boat ride and stuff
and valley and forest end are a bit farther apart than that. and ice rink is farther from the entrance to valley and you didnt account for hermit valley in village of dreams
I have a theory the summonable corgi is evil and that it was the one who corrupted the crystal in eden
I won't support this Oreo slander
Its evil 💥💥
Apparently there's a bot command that krills Oreo
Not that Oreo actually gets krilled, mind you
Oreo is probably the purest bean in all of Sky
Sky would fall without him
well the thing is, oreo's goodness power overloaded the diamond, so technically oreo caused it but it wasnt on purpose or anything
/s

the way it should be
Nooooo

try in memes, skybot will have some words for you
Haha yeah, I've seen it happen

Anyone know the lore of ||the spirit that meets us after eden? ||THE ONE WHO ALWAYS CHILLIN AND BE ASKIN FOR HUGGO’S?
why do yall think the flying race looks like ||orbit||
I call him Funky Franky
many peeps think its the sky prince (NOT petit prince). I think it's ourselves, would you like me to link to the posts explaining why?
What do you mean? Like destroyed?
who's the sky prince
Please do!!!
mhm i think? mostly the big floating rocks and toppled building and lots of light creatures
Hmm I think it’s a symbolism for something. Uh some of the bigger lore chat people might know.. sorry
ahem sky kids are sun that a godly figure magically turned them to moths 😎
HAH its alright :)
Something about the twins equality or something 😅
i think i linked some other theories i had by mistake lol
Ah right here!
(Sorry for ping)
we just change souls real quick 😗 💅
One of the creator on YouTube made a video explaining the entire full story of Sky, detailed with timeline and such. It's in Vietnamese so if you want to understand what they say, turn on Subtitle (Closed Caption).
Link to the video: https://youtu.be/y3y9MfP-mDw
Alright, here is just the links to the glowey boy theory:
#lore-discussion-spoilers message (This directs you to some links that then direct you again to previous messages I sent about this theory)
#lore-discussion-spoilers message (and this one just directs you to a peice of evidence)
THANK YOUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!
haha, no problem. sorry for the previous one containing my crackpot theory instead of just the glowey boy one lol
also, i know the deer mask isnt really the mask of a deer. its in the same family as deer, but i cant seem to remember what it actually is. You know?
not an elk.. not a deer.. nobody? ill keep lookin. I used to know this.
why does it have to be a specific one?
mostly just looking for IRL pictures for artistic reasons.
ones that match the horns? Do you remember there ever being one (dont have to remember what it was, just that there was one)
yeah i remember being corrected during gratitude when i called it a deer mask, by another player. I googled the type they said, and it looked very very similar to that mask.
I come bearing a teaser from a fic I'm writing:
"It may be understandable why the Elders of this realm were in their youth: at an age where competitiveness and energy are also at their peak.
It easily escapes notice, then, that once a civilization reaches its peak, there’s nowhere to go but down…"
Ooh a fic, i made a server for that stuff (like fan seasons, stories, other stuff). Dm me if you want the link! (that also goes to everyone else dm me if you want the link to the discord even if you arent this person that I'm replying to)
...reindeer? Black buck?
i looked up close relatives to deer and found this image, does this look like the images you remember?
HI THAT LINE GOES HARD AS HELL GOOD WORK
like @hushed steeple suggested, I looked up a reindeerand this is one of the images i got (I was pleasently surprised that i didnt get any christmas stuff)
THANK YOU I'M VERY PROUD OF IT
I’m not sure if they’re related but is if antelope or gazelle
do you want me to dm you the invite? (asking since you reacted with
and i have no idea what you mean by that lol)
Oh! Umm...
Super proud of you for running a server. That's why
But umm...I'm actually having a lot of trouble keeping up with Discord while preventing it from interfering with my mental health and real-life performance. So I'll have to decline. I'm really sorry!

dont be sorry. take care of yourself. It's fine not to join, and real life is more important. Dont worry about it lol.
was it this? (its called a Chital)
Ok so it's kinda lateish and getting up an old theory for discussion to see if there's any new opinion of it, why do we have to pray for summoning levitating spirit in Vault? Why do they have two graves?
(Writing a fanfic and torn whether to make them a good person or no)
Only spirit where you use another emote to get up a spirit I think
To be honest, you see that trend with a lot of the Vault spirits, don't you? You need to know how to levitate diamonds to reach the praying spirit, you need to have the Valley manta call to get the spirit manta call...
Could it tie into the fact that Vault is dreamlike/projection of a memory? So you need old memories to unlock new ones?
I don't know how to word it exactly, but...it's kinda related to going deeper and deeper into your own mind and that means finding memories that are already there to unlock deeper parts of your mind
Makes sense that way!
However, these are real world previous vault spirits I'd say, and none of the spirits have that trait. It's kind of odd that levitating spirit requires it
I think Vault is taxing on the mind the same way Wasteland is taxing on the body (what with the getting krilled and stuff)
It's a bit of a mind-bending experience.
First, you need to learn to pray (ground level spirit). Prayer is an act of getting in touch with your thoughts and emotions, and channeling them a certain way.
Then you need to learn to levitate inanimate objects. When the target of levitation is inanimate and separate from your own being, that's the first step to levicorpus (I couldn't resist!
)
And then finally when you have those two acts mastered, you're ready to learn how to levitate yourself. So your pray and you summon the spirit, and go "Look! I have strength of mind now!"
you need butterfly spirit to get the spirit in the 8 player puzzle
I got sick of it, here’s my attempt at the map redo. I should probably stick to blobs featuring one or two notable scenery features...
It looks good!
Keep going!
Yoooo Vela that’s DOPE!!!
Here’s a thought. I feel like the spirits in the Vault, like, the main ones in the base game, are themselves apprentices of the Vault Elder.
Every mural in the Vault cutscene shows a few spirits along with the elders
Maybe they're the apprentices?
are the candles in the first quest you give to spirits a new type of candle we've never seen?
I have a sense that the Vault was much like a school of learning, with the Elder being at the top.
Library of Alexandria vibes?
sky college au skid's go through crisis
honestly yea i've always thought that child was us, a sort of metaphor for accepting what has come to pass ||(we've died), and that acceptance is what lets us return to the stars in orbit||
I hc it’s a different skid who’s come to save us like we saved so many other skids. Gameplay messes it up a bit but that’s my theory
I don't really want to, this is exhausting. Point of that map is to be simple and annotated; too many details would make it pretty but unusable...
You may be thinking of Gazelle.
I think it's add-up, even with the Isle Elder, after all it's like you said, pieces of memories that are not strong enough to get a "solid" shape
And all this warm feeling, even if just sparks, together can get strong enough to become a valuable energy. And all the emotions they bare could have the power to heal someone
About the flame enclosed in the diamonds, I long thought about them being a vessel for a soul somehow, after all both Lamed and Teth Vault and Forest Elders seems sad when you couldn't push a diamond to ascend... And all the tombstones in the realms are sortof shaped like a kneeled person (more visible by looking at the Elders ones) with a hole in the chest.
To me a symbol of the body is a earthly bound, but the heart is the core of the soul
Instead of a power driven Sky Kingdom juicing/grinding mantas in factories, as many see it
I think more likely the Sky Kingdom was driven by the aim of being able to ascend as many souls as possible, nurturing nature and mantas (as the new season seems to imply too)
I like this stye
Also, I'm curious, what's the thing between Eden and GW Temple?
Starlight desert on the left, and the lil bit at the bottom of Eden is the top of Vault
Idk if someone pointed out already, but there are the 3 skykids in formation we see in Orbit Stars on the new rock pad in HomeSpace
Pictures for reference
I wasn't sure because I was expecting to see the Lighthouse to be bigger, thanks by the way
My art is chicken scratch
Oh yeah I've never noticed that before
Isn’t it a thanks or something to people who played in the original beta?
Idk, maybe
Btw, here's a closer look at the constellation in Orbit with TLP
Hello everyone
Did anyone notice there's something about the introduction of the flight season guide
Former apprentice of Daylight Prairie Elder
In the prairie cutscenes (I think), you can see prairie elder kept that little butterfly in the jar instead of giving it freedom
While flight guide and the other flight spirit give the light creatures freedom by creating a big map for them
Both of their opinions on the light creatures are different, that's why flight guide is not prairie elder 's apprentice anymore
Greetings everyone. I am quite new in the Sky Lore community. I would like to know who is King Resh? What was his role in the Sky Kingdom? What did he do and how did he become corrupted?
king resh is the eden elder,, tho i dont remember seeing him at all but maybe i missed him in some cutscenes,, if i recall i believe he was the one who became so power hungry over smth and caused corruption in eden? idk correct me if im wrong but that's what i remember
Not the biggest lore person but look at this chain
that ship had to be... MASSIVE like 10 or more times bigger than ark!! :o
The chain is bigger than the sky kid XD
Resh is the monarch of the Sky kingdom, we’re not really sure if he’s the Eden Elder. There’s also another character, the Prince, who might be the King, it usually depends on your theories. Statues of the King can be seen in Wasteland and he is referenced multiple times. We don’t really know what his personality is but given the references I’d say he was very influential or well liked. He’s also responsible for the production of power diamonds (aka the things you light in forest and valley to open doors etc). Since Sky lore is vague we’re not too sure of anything at the moment. Many people say that power diamonds and some other factors caused the fall of the kingdom, it’s commonly believed that the King is currently in the Eden diamond.
The first pic is what he looks like btw
Honestly this is a bit off topic but i wonder how tall was he? 🤔
very tall
Daaaaamn
I bet if he was on the wasteland social area he would go through the clouds and end up in an oob area
He was prolly short, just tall cause turrets
Wait so did he just become bigger when he got corrupted or…
Like you said we don't really know

I dunno,we have only small bits of lore so anything is possible i guess..
I have to admit, that drawing is EPIC
If we know how tall the skid is, I think we can calculate how tall he is this photo
He could pick us up
eat the skid.
He taller than blow kiss emote spirit
Yes
Oh thank you
And who is the Prince? Was he the first Sky kid as some theories suggest?
Some theories say so, he might be the kid in Ushering Stargazer’s memories or the figure in the Prophecy murals
Also we don’t know if he is the younger version of the King, a part of the King or an different individual
Also also he might be the kid he hug after we die in Eden
I'm pretty sure the one in the Prophecy murals it's him tho,i mean the season even has the symbol of his mask
About the kid who we hug after we die i never thought about that but sounds good too!
Yes, I personally I think he’s the one in the murals, but some other people might say it’s someone else so yea
I see
Honestly it would be interesting to have a season in Eden, like the place shouldn't be a problem, maybe the entrance a crack in the mountain with the flying rocks (first area) should be good enough
And there wouldn't even need to be anything too detailed to the king, actually Eden is the only realm without any spirits so it would be interesting to find some there as well!
So i think we can have a little more lore
I agree
Oh yes something i've noticed that is maybe just a coincidence..
The anubis mask from season of prophecy was an.. interesting choice
We know that the realms were based by the day periods and stages of life (Isle- birth,praire-childhood,etc)
And Eden was death
Also the season of Prophecy at least for me is based around the prince wich later became the Eden king
Anubis was an egyptian god wich judged souls to go to "heaven" or "hell" (it wasn't like that exactly but you get my point) so anubis is also related to death somehow
Maybe it's just a coincidence tho
But it's what i noticed
(This is just my thoughts)
Yeaeeee, that’s what I also think
OH WHAT IF IT ALSO SYMBOLISES THAT LIKE ONCE THE PRINCE BECAME KING IT BECOMES THE ‘DEATH’ OF THEIR INNOCENCE SO THEY BECAME MORE CORRUPTED MORE WHEN THEY’RE KING OR S,THN
I think that the ones in the season of flight are people who rebelled against that way of life as they came to this land in search for a better life ( if that makes sense hehe )
the j
The j?
hey uh this is random,, but i remember being a doc about lore in here? i used to have somewhere but i cant find it,, does anyone still have it by any chance?
Manta murals in birds nest
Just a thought..
what if the theory on the flight group being rebellious against the dark stone technology was a big thing? Idk how to describe it
I see all these windvanes of the flight symbol on them and wonder if the flight group were trying to make the whole kingdom see what they see.
I don’t make any sense at all so I?

i think its just us, like our new life. Cuz their height changes depending on your height so if youre chibi theyre chibi too.
(Sorry for ping) odd it used to be in pins
here's the lore moff doc though! It has helpful links inside it too https://docs.google.com/document/d/18B1-SKG3toG0oH0VhOWC5o-cG9u0STAN92QvmbhTDto/edit
aaa tysm!!
Over 100 years ago, a natural predator of the spirits appeared: the Elders, giant humanoid but mindless monsters whose sole purpose of existence seemed to be to devour spirits. There was an insurmountable gap in power between them and the spirits, and as a result, the spirits were rapidly exterminated to the brink of extinction. The survivors responded by constructing three concentric barriers: The Eye of Eden, The Vault, and Golden Wasteland, which graced them with a century of peace. However, one day King Resh, far larger than any other Elder seen before, breached the outer barrier, allowing the smaller Elders to invade the spirits territory and forcing the survivors to retreat to the inner walls. The Sky Kids, children whose mother watches from the heavens, vowed to wipe every last Elder off the face of the World of Sky, and joined the military determined to exact their revenge.
Attack of the Elders
well, we also did see one of them repairing a boat that looked to be powered by power diamonds
Lmao nice one
Hey umm so I am new here but I always wondered what happened with krills and wasteland. Can someone share the lore about krill and wasteland to me please? I need reference for my drawing 🥺
well, sadly, the devs confirmed that krill are in fact corrupted... (still salty about that)
but they also said that what they were before corruption remains to be seen...
So originally they're not creatures that like to attack skids right?
thx lol
but they also said that what they were before corruption remains to be seen...
Its technically possible they were even more aggresive as whether or not they would've attacked us wasnt said. Its likely they would be less agressive tho
i made up a whole group of sky kids that were born for the first time there 👀 they can speak to krill and stuff
So it's been shown that spirits still have lives even though they're dead right?
But perhaps that's just temporary / memories / timespace thing
But if they do have lives,
How could they be dead?
When we relive spirits we just go through one of their memories
I'm talking more on the stuff we seen in the Flight quest
Or Assembly quests (during and post completion)
Like after we complete some assembly quests we see an Assembly spirit do stuff in the treehouse
My personal theory is that it depends broadly with each spirit. The designated quest givers being more interactive with the player is, I think, largely a gameplay thing to consider.
I think the spirits with capes could fly but those without capes couldn’t. The proud victor spirit, the one with the red cape, and the thrill seeker spirit, the one with the pink cape, both have capes and I think they used them to compete in the flying race
A spirit in valley rides a manta. Yipee! But yeah even the ones with capes drive about in boats. Yesterdays (dead civilization) fashion is todays (new generation of hybrid star children) useful pair of usable wings.
But we can fly and yet we use a boat to get to the forgotten arc
Yeah, back then I thought spirits with capes can fly, but since season of flight came I doubt it
Well, we use it to get across a sea of corrosive water, so I guess that make sense
It's that or we run out of flaps and drown in dark water tbh
Theory on
symbol
It's often seen on windvanes, correct ? And that pattern is seen on the early temples (isle and prairie).
What if it was a symbol of the path to Eden as a rebirth point ?
Light Awaits said that elders were in charge of light and spirits going from all corners of the kingdom to Eden.
In a way,
is the way to the ultimate, the endpoint, the place where this life ends and a new one begins.
No wonder it faced competition fron the king's
..
i made a fanfic-type server since this official discord doesnt have a fanfic/fanseason channel. DM me if you would like the link to it (same with everyone else, dm me for the link)
there are two versions of it actually. We can see both in the new area. one is used for wind vanes and has that hole filled in along with some other stuff and one is well this:
Wild idea you not collecting other spirits memories your collecting your own it makes sense at Eden that’s the last of your memory so when you complete it the game just resets and you become another spirit
actually... that's an interesting take on it... so what your saying is that the reason we are reborn is actually because we are just reliving our own memory?
Yes and the winged light is the parts soul of the character
you mean the fragments of our "spirit" memory?
Yes and that would also explain why when you get to eden they turn into candles for customization so the character can use that to rebuild them selfs
And why the monster soul eaters take the fragments
well, i dont really know about that part, but if we think about the glowey boy at the end being ourselves, that would be like when a spirit shows us something after we burn their statue.
like, "please, listen to us, you're trapped in purgatory! We can help you escape!" only itdoesnt work, as we are trapped in a black box with a normal wl, lol
I think it’s that the character is reborn as a candle angel and they can free the souls of everyone while also trying to free there own soul
i meean, they just knock em out of us. they themselves dont take em. but still, good point, especially considering that crabs can knock a spirit memory fragment causing the quest to start over (happened to me with the pleaful parent carry quest, i was so far away but could still see inside the skull as the crabs hit the fragment. but I also dont blame the crabs, im pretty sure the pleaful parent was the one to put those 3 clean, likely dead crabs on top of the fire. in their memory cutscene they even chase one that looks clean) (clean as in not covered in dust, its a sign that they are friendly. office crabs and 2 crabs on a small island in sanctuary are friendly and dustfree)
in the valley of triumph pond, theres some candles that are burning underwater. can all candles in the game do that? is it because of their extreme temperature or something else that means that they can burn in water?
Sky logic is weird
Ikr
good evening lore chat 😎
Good evening!
How’s lunch
I just wanted to know how’s lunch :(
Dang sorry
It's noon and there's supposed to be an exam rn
Oh sorry, and same got a test after lunch
Lunch is good
Imma have lunch now
Then another exam
ajfhfd yesterday I saw the particles on the crabs are the same as on the sitting body things that appear when you relive a spirit's memory (the ones you "clean" when you finished the memory)
We dont swim in there either
like in other bodies of water
That's a good one! :0
Came to drop a topic for conversation
symbol can be seen in sanctuary a lot
But with the new season they are in many more places. HOWEVER they are not quite similar.
Why?
Perhaps the reason why it is seen in sanctuary alot is because light creatures perhaps migrate to the island so maybe the sanctuary spirits are the one that watch over those creature for the flight spirits once they migrate to the islands
The singular posts with that symbol that you see at cave of prophecies, sunny Forest cave and Hermit Valley seem to be there to indicate where a wind path will open up
Someone willing to discuss this with me or am I just going to keep coming back to my own thoughts
Oo I really like this, especially how we also see the weather vanes in bird nest, though it’s near sanctuary, very light creature-y places indeed
:D I also just remembered we have the bell tower in sanctuary that seemee to call on different flocks of migrating light creatures throughout the quests and..... It is canon that the chimesmiths works with creature migration by placing around different wind chimes that create different sounds that different light creature react to
yaya! the ones in village too
Oh how are they different? I didn't notice :oo
Ignis is right they are different hold I've got images for refrence :D
In order we have Birds nest weather vane, Sanctuary bell tower weather vane, Flight guides pendant and Sunny Forest (cave ) wind path marker
So I was tired last night and didn’t know what I was typing.. what I really meant is
|| king vs flight propaganda?|| idk I’m tired this morning too 😂
am i allowed to talk about eden?
Yes I'm pretty sure you are here if it's lore related although don't quote me on that
This area is marked as spoilers so you can post stuff like that here. ( just not beta )
Thank you for the pictures
yeah you're right it's somewhat different :o
Huh, what if they symbol is universal but the builders are different?
Or, they were made at different years/eras. Kind of like how logos change irl over the years!
Perhaps but it interesting that they possibly are still connected because of the similarities and links
Season of flight... This season by itself is a big theory...
I'll tak a bit about this season
First... The spirits cosmetics and the caves they used for a lot of things tell us that this story (season) time is so old... Maybe it's the oldest seasons in sky (?)
Also the relationship between the light creatures and the spirits seem so close... And light whisperer spirit hairstyle, maybe she is the one who created this hairstyle and learnt it the childrens and she was like a teacher or something like that for them...
There are a lot of bells... And a few buildings... Kinda old story when they were living freely and in more peace...
I forgot something...
This area connects between all realms... And has doors for them too... Which mean it was one of the most important areas for a long time... Maybe... The first area which the other realms branch out of it
I don't know if this counts as a lore based question but what are these stones meant for?
You meditate on it and you get a heart, basicalky it idk
WAIT WHAT
On phone it asks you to rate Sky afaik
It's not working so I'm confused
That means You already did it before bro
Yea
But I never interacted with these things before?
That’s strange
R u sure? You maybe were a moth and don't remember... Did you rate the game before?
You’re only able to do that once
Ohhhhhh wait I remember rating the game 5 stars on the play store after I started playing without using the stone
Hmmm
Might wanna move this to #questions-and-help
Lore why r u dead
Wdym, it’s a normal Thursday?
Apparently Lore chat does this thing where it's only active when I'm supposed to be sleeping /j
Skybot, what--
Fineeee, gather around the bonfire, I'm going to play a lullaby for you!
Well...somewhat yes?
I imagine them to peacefully rebel and try to show others that way and Prairie Elder banishing them (perhaps) and that's why they're in Forest intro--they're not in "Forest" or "Prairie". They don't belong anywhere, and they're hardly recognised.
Probably the apprentice of Prairie Elder was secretly in favor and visited them (and Prairie Elder didn't mind, they kind of just. Tried to limit it, but didn't outright ban because I imagine them to be somewhat kind and individualistic). It was as long as they continued to work on powered tech it was okay
Also speaking of powered tech, in forest gate intro cutscene (where you open the door to the Elder shrine), it seemed that powerstones were made of 1/2 mined from ground (the boat had carried it, the blue part of it) and the yellow one is the light that we give/light creatures give and that's how darkstones kinda worked? (Never thought of that much up until I ran forest today)
Hello lore chat...... I was wondering, is the forgotten ark is facing the wind path or back onto, cause that'll be another big story about the ark.... Like the ark got wreck before it reach the path or the ark got wreck after it went through the path
Well it didn't release live yet so we're unsure as of now (we = live). So maybe later quests could reveal that
[or well, we can probably see the end result path]
(Or I don't know if they told in live--sorry if yes)
I just assume it does connect with Ark tho. Have to see if there's any holes in somewhere, I'll update you later after running there
(did they reveal where the tunnels would be officially?)
Ok there
There's a big gapping hole in the cloud near the ark
Edit: thank you
I'd assume the path is something like this
Looks like it's behind the landing imo, judging by the path we enter
(Actually raises a question, what is a ship doing in the middle of nowhere? Where's the water? Surely it didn't get sucked off completely? And if there was water, then what is the cloud doing there?)
That means it crashes after it went through the path
Maybe due to the strong wind the ark lost control and take the wrong path, dunno
But on the murals it shows a krill so maybe the krill knocked it down?
Maybe after they went through the path the krilled attack them?
Maybe it was the krills home and it got mad

Maybe it was trying to travel to eden. Or to a place before?
Wasteland was a warzone, maybe they were carrying supplies to support the war
What would they find in Eden? Maybe to do basically forgotten ark but bring resources there so that they could do it efficiently?
Maybe they were bringing dark stone to Eden?
Some of the old concept art shows this, as it shows that this is what caused the storm.
Strong winds?
We have to get a certain light just for the wind to return tho.
Maybe too little wind
Possible
Possible, but ark doesn't seem to have strong winds past it--or even a proper landing. Could it be that terrible?
I think that they were trying to un-pollute wasteland
But they clear only where the ark is,.... Maybe since wasteland was too barren, could also be possible that they went to brought supply and to cleanse it
I like to think that is just a too narrow path, and maybe some other stream was they're route, after all, even the whales/manta arrive without us knowing it clearly
I don't think they cleared it after all
The Ark crew crashlanded and probably lost all their elemental lights (we are the one that finally bring them back to fulfill their wishes), and lived barrelly with the little water they tried to use on the crop field
Also notice the Alchemist wasn't able to clear the water in the far cave, meaning they only had little elemental power left
Are you sure you didn't used the other rating stone in Eden Orbit, it's on a Bright of star on the right, after the rock pads
O, what’s the topic
It could be that the season is somewhat old, but the sole fact that they are good craftmen and that they have same boats as in Dreams gondolas or reparing a big boat of transportation, I think it might even be just their choice to live with more connection to nature
After all they even seems to have a complecx system of navigation signals to regulate the traffic. That seems unlikely in a "primitive"
Plus there are more than one examples of season spirits leaving together in the same time
There isn't I just trace back some theory😅
Ohh okay
There is painted pillar with yellow tint near the 1 Quest Spot, I think I might have a picture
Here it is, and near there are squared vase with the yellow paint.. there are in more spot around Flight
Bonus: I kind of like this prop/instrument(?) too shaped exactly like the emblem/ weather vane
Lore chat’s birthday is coming up soon

It’s 2nd birthday I think.

In 3 days
What is mr butterfly doing?
They're playing like a little child

An adult the little prince would be proud of.
I miss the little prince
Same ||rip||

I'm curious what other people think the age range of skykids is. like has it ever been confirmed that they're all actual young children? 'cause they're clearly tiny - if the assembly kids, who are clearly supposed to represent kids by the kinds of clothes they wear and such - are still so much physically larger, who's to say tall sky kids aren't actually teens/young adults and skykids are just a small species?
Well - actually are we allowed to talk about the secret areas here?
I believe it’s been confirmed that Skykids, along with every being in Sky, is genderless and ageless. “Ageless” in the sense that they don’t have strict numerical ages besides the vague descriptors of Old and Young. The Ancestors are clearly Older than the skykids. Skykids are kids, so they’re Young. Some of the Ancestor spirits look to be youthful as well, like the Boogie Kid for example, but young Ancestors are not the same as skykids. Skykids are an entirely different creation, seemingly made to resemble the Ancestor race.
well, it does say lore spoilers.... i guess you can just spoil tag your text, probably. people have already been warned!
You’re allowed to talk about secrets and spoilers yeah, just no beta content. Anything in Beta and not in the game yet isn’t allowed here. But out of bounds secrets, concept art, and that sort of thing are fine!
To clarify my point a little more: Yeah, theyve been confirmed to be kids multiple times by the devs in here. A number of times when people have made slightly innapropriate remarks, they’re quick to swoop in and remind people that skykids are, in fact, kids. I can try to find an example of that but it might take me a while.
So I'm thinking about the office, which is apparently a replica of the actual office in California. How those structures seem very large especially in comparison to our Skykids. It's a good size comparison template, and the Office is actually huge. So that implies that we're really tiny. The tallest of us might only be, like, desk height, I think.
Then there's a spirit in Office that's a hooman, and how tall are they!?
And the game spirits are that tall too.
So Skykids are babies and they are dwarves, is my headcanon. And given the gameplay...honestly I want to say that they are like 10-ish years old (in human years given mentality and such), but the horrors of Eden prevent me from doing that.
I’ll say that the Office isn’t reaaaally a canonical place in the Sky lore, I don’t think. So it’s kind of difficult to theorize things based off of it. It’s more like a giant easter egg that sometimes has little fun hints in it but doesn’t actually have anything to do with the lore I’m fairly sure. Sky kids are def very little though compared to the Ancestors. They seem to be modeled directly after Ancestor children; if you look at the Switch release trailer, you can see two Ancestors and one is very obviously a child that looks almost exactly like a skykid does.
Not in terms of lore, just kind of like a size chart. A way of thinking, "Well, okay, we want to gauge Sky kingdom sizes but we have nothing to compare them against. We have no information about a 'standard' value that we can measure it against, except - we have to replicate a human-scale structure into the game. What scaling factor do we use?"
And then you can work backwards from there.
Obviously to replicate real-world dimensions into a game, you have to think about a scaling factor. So that's how I'm thinking about it.
now see that's a good point about trailers, I haven't watched any of them. Time to go do that methinks.
True! The world of Sky is very different to the human world which is neat. Littol skids
Check out the Switch one! I think it’s the best example of how the skykids are meant to be children. The little ancestor kiddo in the trailer looks just like one.
I had a vision (and if anyone wants to draw this out, feel free) about Skykids in the actual Office
One Skykid peeks out from behind a cubicle
They're playing hide-and-seek with another Skykid who's at the other end of the aisle looking for them
One Skykid is sitting piggyback onto a game dev's shoulders, watching their screen along with them
It's not a complete vision yet, and I'm not skilled enough to draw it out as much as I want to. So...yeah

Oh that’s adorable
okay this is weird but i just realised smth about season of assembly
First off, "The boom boom from Eden"
sorry that's immature of me
Second - ...kinda makes sense? I think Season of Assembly is just Skykids being Skykids. They make hangouts. They have fun with friends. So...I'm not totally sold on this.
Third - regarding that scene I envisioned - would anyone want to draw that with me?
Lore chat snorping
Maybe you can pay someone to do it in the art channel? If you want lol. I mean in a private server
Sneep snorp
Sorry for ping 😅
I notice these manta shrines here and in forest. Any background lore that anyone can think of?
Manta? I thought it was a bird-
Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
faction of the light
Also, the stone in orbit is also similar to that symbol.
Perhaps it is the symbol for the light of megabird?
That symbol also appeared in the light engravings before being updated, they were the representation of the fallen light
In the old intro, these symbols would represent stars.
My theory, they are like stars, like magical sources, light orbs and similar to the head light of the king's symbol.
So these would collectively represent the light.
Which may be easy to classify the day and wasteland elders being on the side of the light.
Which reminds me.
I was bugged with how the wasteland elder's shield did not match his constellation and mural art. The art showed him with a diamond shield.
What if the wasteland elder used to serve the diamond faction, and then converted to the light at some point?
This may add a new side to the elder either as a rebellious soldier, or a man that did what is right, no matter what. Still going to think it over.
I bet most of us have seen this pillar when going/in sanctuary. Coincidentally, it also happens to point to the portal that leads to the wind paths (flight area). Both the sanctuary islands (and i think the bird islands before) and the underground forest are seasonal areas. I haven’t looked at all the seasonal areas yet but im assuming the pillars are there to guide players to the wind area (meaning that if the wind paths go to entirely different realms, the prairie wind path will be in sanctuary islands
Sorry if that was confusing, i kind of put it together during my forest cr
My skid is 1 year old. Canon lore
Factions? The closest I've seen to factions is that certain realms were guided by certain elements, you could see in the light engravings of the cave of prophecies.
Factions is my name for the two sides from the shields in battlefield.
I feel like they had the idea of factions with the two shields but didn't follow through to make everything consistent. Which is fine. Everything is supposed to be lost to time and the elements.
Another thing about the cave that few discovered is that if certain objects of the place are illuminated, you can observe a story, it turns out to be the origin of that being that summons the Sky Kid (the players) to return the lost light of the constellations, will this be the king?
If skykids are golems, why do we have a heartbeat?
Skids r golems is a theory
yes, how can a human be fireproof, hold their breath in ice water, carry a lit candle in their chest, and not get smushed by flying rocks in a hell-storm?
Idk, that’s how they’re created ig
I mean, you gotta create someone that can withstand a rock storm to save the kingdom or smthn
in theory, yeah.
We are like Pinocchio. kids that never grow up and are not true living children
Ye, it’s sad
atleast there are no circus ringleaders to spirit us away and turn us into donkeys.
And extort us for money
lol, what money? We dont need food, but sure do enjoy it. We can get tired, but recharge at the start of the next day.
Heck, we are using candles for trade! We live in a world where gold is more valuable as a decoration than a tradable currency.
Oh, I thought we were talking about Pinocchio still
I got caught on a tagent.
Pinocchio did not have a lot of money, did not need to eat or drink but enjoyed doing so, and did not grasp the worth of money just yet.
We turn to a faceless stone statue in eden and when we lose light
This conversation reminded me of a question. How come the color pallet is the way that it is for the sky kids? Like the legs and arms are noticeably lighter than the face, or the vise versa sometimes, like what inspired the idea to make certain parts of the body different shades
More than golems, they are beings of light, Every cosmetic we carry is not reflected in the shadow, that is because they are not there in truth, they are made of light, and the candle is only the physical form that is given to the essence of the soul.
In other words, it may be a peaceful world, but we constantly risk our lives.
All is peaceful and fair until a krill shows up, lol.
Apperantly during the development of the game the Devs were thinking of also making the kirlls take your emotes, They Where going to steal your emotions
Hi there! Does anyone have an image of the Sky runes that we see on Vault Elder's headdress?
🔻🔺♦️🔻
Lmao
I can take a close up shot of the mask if you would like!
Yeah they’re just random shapes.. have fun with you research tho! 🌚

Wait, the ones on the sky kid version are different
(at least I think)
they are different to the version we get from a vault spirit.
(im getting these from tara's videos)
They’re still not anything I don’t think. Not that I recognize. Just kinda neat looking.
yah, but thought id help show the difference lol
actually, now that I think about it, dark plants sorta have blocky "symbols" on them. They move quickly when your burning the plant. likley not meant to mean anything and just more for looks
U know in one of the assembly treehouses there is a. DIAMOND
We will most likey open it up Ina later quest but it is still a flight path, sanctuary and starlight desert have wind paths but no markers
https://twitter.com/sk_evi_/status/1446420882763575299?s=19 the prosthetic arm that one of them has is quite interesting 🤔
it makes me crave for more elder lore, i am just SO interested as to if thats a prosthetic arm or its just something that the model has
I'm pretty sure it's a prosthetic arm, both of them have it actually!
Gloating narcissist (seasonal spirit from the season of the little prince) also has one!
And the face and clothes and even his personality matches the valley elders..
I'm pretty sure they also had the thing that the twins carry too in the concept art! (You can see it in tgc's video when the season ended,it's on the last seconds)
(One was from seacuppy's story on insta and the other one from skybee0922 also on Instagram)
How come I just noticed-
hey lore chat, if bells are used to call creatures, and different bells are used for different creatures, do the statues with the
thing on top also have a role? for ex it has something to do with the wind?
woah nice catch! i didn't notice that :oo i wonder if that's a warrior thing haha do they have to sacrifice an arm or something
is here too
No idea, but considering his apperance and all maybe he is (or was-) a secret triplet? 👀
Poor elders tho
If twins aren't easy to take care of just imagine triplets
I think just one of the twins would suffice to win a popularity contest against narcissist.
whats up with the athletes in sky having prosthetic arms? nevertheless, its super cool
What if narcissist was like those players with spiky valley hair, rythm pants and black/white capes whose names are forbidden here, and wore these cosmetics to get praise ? It's realistic because I did exactly that but with forest hair.
i wonder what the sports is like in the world of sky, super interesting 🍞
I dunno, but it is possible too
But one thing that made me discard it,it's his face
It doesn't looks like any of the spirits we saw, they usually have eyes and a simple face
But oddly enough narcissist doesn't has it,so maybe he's different from regular spirits
Traded eyes for a more defined nose
👀
i guess hes just built different
One of the Valley twins also had that arm, right?
…Guys I think we just found another apprentice of the Elders
Both of them has it actually ^^
Speaking of little prince spirits..
Why do they have chains on them?
All of them have chains? :oo
Then they're probably prisoners there...
Chained by adulthood
Still, could we say that Narcissist was an apprentice to the Valley Elders?
He's vain, will take any praise, loves putting on a show…
Well maybe,i guess it's up to your interpretation 🤔
I'm thinking exiled actually not apprentice! :oo the prisoner narrative also work since (s)he has no audience...
I'm beginning to think that the Elders may have alienated all their apprentices because they were too set in their ways and not willing to let in any new ideas
Implied by the Flight Guide this season
Firefly's assumption regrading Narcissist
I heard it’s actually pouldrouns
What is that?-
An arm piece where you keep knives and stuff, he prolly has them on because they look cool
Lmao
like these
Oooooooh
Never heard of it
Do I look cute?
For sure! But i think it's better if you took this to #screenshots-and-videos channel instead!
While the theory stands its ground, I feel like it's too soon to assume flight guide and ayin (prairie elder) stopped getting along. We're barely at the start of the season, and I feel like flight guide could have gone farther away if they really wanted to desert prairie
It's also kinda out of what little character we saw of the elder to go against the protection of creatures; it seems like it was their job after all, they're almost always depicted with butterflies.
Perhaps their hands were tied by duty, and their disciples had to either stay and obey to orders they didn't want to, or leave and keep their freedom.
_ _
Another thing, all those pots we see around the area must have come from somewhere; a group of BBFs settling here wouldn't have the means and boats to bring so many supplies ! They probably got help, which requires some vulnerability if you're AWOL and intend to stay that way.
…hopefully we find out more over the course of the season
I feel the most gentle vibes from the Prarie Elder/Ayin. Also, I had assumed at least that the Flight GC was a “former” apprentice in the sense that they obviously aren’t anymore, considering they are now a spirit, rather than having some kind of falling out. But I suppose both could be true! I’m excited for the next quest even though I utterly despise having to wait for sooooo long
Also, does anybody else assign little nicknames for the spirits sometimes? Even if just to make theories easier to type. Here’s what I have for Flight:
-
Questgiver is just QC or “Flight” themselves
-
Lively Navigator is Nav
-
Tinkering Chimesmith is Chimes
-
Light Whisperer is Whisp
-
Talented Builder is just Build or “TB”
Thanks to you, I am going to call the light whisper a wisp, lol.
Now I am more determined to get the hair and paints.
I'm drawing rn and having a hard time of it but I have nicknames, yeah
oh? Would like some help or feedback?
Ayin feels more accidentally gentle to me just by virtue of being slow and probably half asleep
As somebody who is both slow and half asleep I agree and felt seen
Ayin, who just woke up and is being swarmed by skykids wanting to cuddle:
Hello, lore chat!
I just started
Still feeling out the positions of the components, if that makes sense?
Here’s my unofficial masterdump of silly Flight spirit headcanons:
QC is the designated Mom Friend of the group and sometimes overdoes for their friends without caring for themselves, so the others will group up to plan nice surprises for them for time to time. Whisp on the other hand is everybody’s younger sibling and they milk that to their advantage to get the others to help them with creature-rearing tasks like brushing giant light chicken feathers. Chimes prefers to work by themselves most of the time and can get lost in tinkering for days so it’s routine to stop by and check up on them. Their hearing is very sensitive due to their work so they prefer quiet, low-energy hangout sessions and gift the others lots of handmade crafts. Nav and TB have history together as Nav was a sailor and TB’s from a long line of boatmakers. Nav is a little immature and likes to play pranks but is extremely protective of their friends. TB is just the glue that holds everybody together and it’s impossible to not get along with them; tells the best jokes, lets the others (mainly Nav and Whisp) just kinda hang off of them for fun.
I'm calling it a night with the drawings
Names for the Flight spirits, let's go
- Baby manta honk spirit - literally that, or the veterinarian
- Talented Builder - The "Tada" spirit
- Lively Navigator - air hostess

- Chimesmith - Twinkle, twinkle worker
- Flight guide - A fren

I just saw the name list of the TGC staff and the latest letter from the devs and now I'm tempted to change my nickname to Larrychaeologist
Yes, we are all Larry
There we go

i just tought of something.. why do skykids have a heartbeat if they have no organs at all?
oh my god
lol now you cant unsee it
You know the gems you light to open doors and stuff? They're tourmaline. It can be both blue and yellow, can be found in desert, forests, etc (supporting lore), and can be used as a power source when provided with heat. (Not a ton of power, but there are also flying stone boats. "Sufficiently advanced technology" for the win!)
So how are we feeling about our realm/elder/TLP spirit parallels
i was incorrect abt my connections
BUT AUGH
Lamplighter for forest is... interesting if you want to correlate with the elders 👀
The theory that all our cosmetics are light magic stands some ground, the fact that we see flames right before becoming bald and featureless when our flame goes out could be a hint our shadows not reflecting what we wear aren't just to save storage space.
Kinda justifies the clipping too lmao.
Question, could these towers shoot objects? These are king statues above the temple in the battlefield. They have pipes feeding directly into the canon shaped pipes.
If so.. that would make an unfair advantage in the war.

Oh WOAH I never noticed that!!! Cannons???
Weren't those cannons in the concept art? They were supposed to shoot at us
Ye
My theories about each little prince spirit represents an elder/realm are kinda true
And Samantha
Dimond around our light also when we pull out our candle the light varnish’s , that IS our candle . Got the little detail from a Reddit post
Yo hang on what’s this? 👀
@half shadow same thing as this
I can't unsee this
I'm also on the hunt for spherical objects in the world of Sky because the Eden elder is shown with a circle close to their mouth in the Vault cutscene.
So far I only had the cores of spirits to go on – black spheres that can sometimes give candle wax.
But but but
Valley Citadel has those giant floating gyroscope-things. And I found a solid sphere at the centre of the central largest one.
What are other objects in Sky that are spherical?
The sun 🥺 /j im sorry
The planets/asteroids you can visit with the big green cape
Lightseeker orbs; three are on a miniature boat in the isle tunnel (where you get the piggyback spirit).
You could also look at the wall paintings on the second tower... perch... thing, the one next to which you find the troupe greeter. Has pictures of spirits in boats holding up sun things.
Should probably check if it appeared during the lightseeker season or if it was here before; in the former case, it could represent the boat orbs in the piggyback tunnel...
Anyone knows what the lore of lightseekers season was besides "funny rain spirits chase light orbs" ?
I've seen the murals you're talking about. They're in-game paintings, not related to a season.
And yeah! I didn't even think about the Isle underground boat
Now that I think about it, the lights we're supposed to catch – whether colored of just the "catch the light" quests – are also spherical!
Makes you think
Was the Eden elder just bent on consuming light!?
Prisoners of their own mind representation, imo
I actually have a pretty dark theory about light whisperer
tw: ||su1c1d3||, death
||i think light whisperer committed su1c1d3 because of the rope here, it also could've been drowning because their right next to a pool that could've been deeper but got drained out||
||Did they do it somewhere else? It’s not that high so I don’t think they could’ve done it there, if they did||
||it could've have been that they removed the corpse and hung the rope somewhere else||
||Tbh if I were them I’d dispose the thing that was used to kill my friend||
||they'd could've kept it as a memorial of light whisperer
||
||I see, I still wonder why the Light Whisperer would do it though||
||i have no idea, it could've been they would have depression or some sort||
||or that they accidently k1lled a bird while giving them medication and did it because of all the guilt||
||Dang…they were even the youngest of the group…||
||and maybe that the tinkering spirit found the corpse first and they became tinkering spirit||
||I kinda feel bad now||

the crying spirit's canon story is sad too tho
cuz them and their friends were stuck in a cave and they all died 1 by one
and the crying spirit was moarning over their graves
and that's depressing
Yes
It's 9 am, wanna do quests?
I'll add you
I can’t do quests rn, but we can still be friends if you want
alr
I'll send a qr code later
||this also could've been their coffin||
Hi idk is this a lore or no but spiky valley elder have a smoother leg than their twin!
just post it in #screenshots-and-videos
I kept thinking about this for no reason, the valley elders cutscene also prove that mushroom have pointy leg. Idk is it bevause they use the same model and it's just an error, or it was intended. Idk should i take this seriously or not😭
Oh wow
Might’ve been intended imo
I think im taking this too seriously
I think so too i mean there's a lot of little details in sky

I usually overthink things too so dw
What if their leg has some of the uhhh twin connection? Like, mushroom valley elder have a smoother hair but pointy legg, and spiky elder have a spiky/pointy hair but smooth leg👀 btw smootb leg elder so cute
Wow
Storms normally move, so why does the Storm of Eden stay in one place?
hmm.. maybe there's a kind of force field protecting the other areas
it could also be that the eden storm is sort of magnetic, so it only stays attached to that one area
Guys where can I go to start getting into sky lore? I am looking online but its kinda confusing without starting from the beginning
DO YOU NEED SOME DO C S
I always wanted to know about the dark whale in the beginning of golden wasteland, any theories?

according to the sassy drifter hint, they have good skin healthcare
when was the spirit info doc made?
Uhhh, last-last week I think idk
That last line is
Seen someone on tumblr say the Eden storm could be volcanic in nature since it's dry with lightning, which makes sense to me !
eden light beam irl formed by a meteor falling near the volcano. i imagine it might produce a similar but more violent effect if it landed inside? (for instance, causing volcanic lava and debris to spew out?)
fun factoid: the colour of the ‘tail’ indicates the composition of the meteor; in this one, the green indicates the presence of high amounts of nickel.
I wanna ask about your thoughts on the boat with the 3 light orbs in the isle tunnel/cave?
what does it resemble ?
Maybe it was for worship?
There is a spirit located there, maybe that could give some clues?
I'll see what i can find
Its an enchatment thing, Inthink u can get spells from it during enchant
but it's in isle (?)
Ye, Grattitude-Enchant had their spirits scattered among the 6 realms unlike today’s seasons where they stay in one place
I seeeee!!! tytyty
is there is some sort of lore about isle? a back story or smth it represents ?
i mean I have an over all idea but i would like to go thru detail
Why is their a skinned/made of sand turtle infront of citadel
Lightseekers actually !
oAh
Isle with grass was shown in switch trailer!
In the concept art, isle represents birth.

Thank you guys!
also about the concept art, where can i find those
You can check pins and also search up “ Tom zhao concept art”
( And by search up, I mean in a search engine )
What do you think could be .. this?
Forget the name.. the front of the ship? -.-
Finally realized, all these cloath strips are used to a rudimental yet useful weather crane, to point the direction of the winds
Since he is responsible for the navigation signals he checked them and tight the knots
Is the reason the flight spirits have mantas attached to their boats while the ones in valley dont, since valley is... More advanced?
But in old beta didn't isle have boats too and it had padels at the bottom like the boat that takes u to forgotten ark
Maybe they’re against using power diamonds
This opens the possibility for: Giant manta with a ship deck on its back.
A probability is that the flight area is just a home that all of the spirits made so they dont have advanced technology
kind of like the treehouse
This baby manta close up with a tiny horn makes me wonder
Does it gron into a small to regular manta (without horns) only to become a doublewings mantas (with horns)
Or this baby is the infant of the doublewings mantas, thus meanings there are different species of mantas (wings, doublewings, multiwings and "elderly mantas")
After all multiwings in Vault have their babies too
Its kinda sad that there are child spirits, and spirits are mostly dead
That means some children died at a young age and that's depressing
Do the flappy pancake mantas that circle around the bell tower in sanctuary have a horn?
Let me see
Last I remember some of them where frozen in place baha. At least in switch version.
Yes, they do... Have the horn, I mean
Maybe it's just a personal choice, but since the Builder repaired that transport boat it means they don't impose their way of living
Quick drop, sorry to interrupt, but they also drop what I assume is darkness. The (minute) rock like things down. Does that mean they have light inside but coated by rocks like stonekids?
...wait would that mean that corrupted skykids would, in a sense, have their light extracted and needs wl? For that?
yeah or maybe they dont have the technology or just dont use it because mantas were used to power the diamond factory
and theres mantas at flight area
As I pointed out earlier they use cloath strips as wind markers even if the Chimesmith could build their own masterfully, so maybe the choose to appreciate simple solutions
About the powerdiamonds = mantas, I think that theory doesn't stand with the current Temple we have now that are slightly but different after all to the Factory concept art
See, she could build one exactly as those in Prairie and Sanctuary
Plus I think they were easily accessible even from more modern mean of transport, like the skilift to Yeti's Peek, which points into a windpath to Flight (opening after a new quest, if I had to bet I would say even thr next one too)
Because the next signpost in the mist seems to point towards a pinky light opening, as the already revealed one point into Underground Cave in Forest
Ooo then they are the same species of pancake!
The first image looks a bit spooky with the kid in the mist.
@pastel brook umm, ok?
Standing in, I suppose.
Ty )) & Sorry wrong chat 😅
oh, I was wondering why you asked for it.
No worries though, lol.
spirit being a king. Looks like the way a surfer stands on a board, so this feels more like a short distance/leisure transport than something the ancestors did on the regular.
Well, they are the "Backflipping Champion", aren't they?
They have that privilege
@nimble ingot @rigid mural
May I DM you guys?
Heya! Just wondering if anyone knows if the Valley Elders have names? Or if they are simply called Elder of the Vault, etc.?
In the concepts they do (I don't keep track of them, but they're all named after Hebrew letters)
But in the live version they don't
The Valley Elders are counted as one (Someone mentioned something about Siamese twins, I think?) and called...Samek? I think? Again, I'm bad with the Elders' names 😅
...sure ? What is it about ?
I mentioned a fic I'm writing – that
Also the concept elder names are:
Daleth
Ayin
Teth
Samekh
Tsadi
Lamed
sure thing
Thank you!
Ok so I usually don't go to this channel since I go along with most theories but I have a thought that's been itching me for some time.
I noticed that Forest shares a similar theme in it's season and that is reconnecting and building paths.
In Belonging, your whole goal is to reconnect a family that's lost.
In assembly, you open up pathways that lead to other parts of the forest.
In flight, you open up wind paths that lead to other realms across the skyworld.
I wonder what it means...
Maybe it’s just that the Eden explosion just wiped everything out so you have to fix these things for the spirits so that they can ascend and be happy.. idk
But in forest the theme of reconnecting is much more prominent than in other realms.
I wonder if forest used to be a checkpoint or something for travelers and you have to rebuild the paths that lead to other realms again.
I feel like the point of forest was to be misleading and have an almost labyrinth-like map, with all these shortcuts. Perhaps it's the lost and found of the kingdom.
I remember in the concept art the whole idea of forest was to mislead skykids from the right path. So it might not be too far off.
I also remember that one of the ideas was to create a fake skykid that would lead you and get you lost.
Not me losing my stars in the rain because I lost my way as a moth
Anyone else find it interesting that, in a land consistently threatened by some strange darkness, there are some places where the light is so overwhelming that you’re just constantlt charging? The Citadel, the Wind Paths, and the Bird’s Nest are what comes to mind here— you never run out of cape energy. I understand that a constant recharge is necessary for the design of these bottomless areas to work, but even the Valley Coliseum made you fall into the clouds to recharge (before they gave us a ground to skate on). Heck, even the Bird’s Nest has its limitations, and you’ll find plenty of areas where you won’t recharge. But the Citadel? Light magnet. Wind paths? It’s like the air is made of light. I’d contrast this to Eden, where you are constantly losing light. I think it’s interesting. I like to think that these are the places are untouched by darkness, so maybe all of Sky was once like that— filled with an abundance of light— and the dark crystals drained it to the point where, even in the safer and more natural realms (like Isle and Prairie), we have to store it, conserve it, and recharge at every opportunity.
That’s a really cool thought!!
I like to think Citadel's abundance comes from the element of Air we see was given to the twins in Prophecy
...but then what about Earth and the draining water of Forest?
And Wasteland is literally light-bonking-away realm
Yo I have found a website which u can find people's (both fictional and real) and things' personalities, including Sky
And there's more but most of them are empty
First off, please can you share the link?
Second, I guess my skykid could be an elder's apprentice, lol!
LMAO kirll are infp pfft
yup,
fun fact, according to the personality site (not the one linked), William Shakespeare also has this personality type.
Now I see the krill take to hunting skykids like poetry. Sometimes, there is no rhyme or reason to why they target skykids.
LMAO I’M INFP
so, you are a bookworm, lol?
Also a dark dragon!?
There are a couple of more matches.
visibly sweating
no comment
That site is definitely people just making things up for fun but I think it’s hilarious
Definitely, is it fun to kill time browsing over 🙂
Though some of these might give some insight on the character.
Even though, it is harder to pin down as lore evidence, because these are personality tests for character that do not speak, or have other interactions. So it is mostly well meaning fanon.
Not sure if this really belongs here, but why exactly is it called Eye of Eden?
Nothing really resembles an Eye, it’s more of a heaven
And who is Eden??? Was it a spirit who died venturing there? I suppose the “Eye” could be the door you get reborn from, since it somewhat resembles an eye
And also, why does Eden have so much darkness surrounding just that one part? After you get past it it’s just light, all light creatures and no dark ones, it’s very strange to me, almost like they’re making a border, but even then, the abundance of Krill could easily take on a single whale, and even the Mantas and Jellyfish, since it seems as if the Jellyfish and Mantas don’t have any defences
This might be a reference to the old name of the realm, given it has always kept the Eye part.
Eden's old name was Storm. So, it would make sense to call it the Eye of the Storm, since it is the centre of the massive and relentless storm in Eden.
Ohhhh I see, that actually makes a lot of sense
Some of the old names still have relevance to their realms.
Ex. Hidden Forest used to be called Rain.
I wonder how it got its name, lol.
Lol
You are on the right track.
Since there is so much Darkness in the world. The history of the game gives hints that something went terribly wrong in Eden.
The Elder is missing, the realm is, as you said, nothing like its name should suggest and unlike the other realms, your skykid does not make through Eden in one piece.
There is theoretically, an endless cycle that the world is caught up in. A time loop, as I like to think is happening, where time seems to reset every day or every week in places.
Eden is also a place where the very first sin took place in Christianity, so this might be a parallel to how Eden is the place where the darkness started spreading. It is also the only realm that has a clear biblical connotation and not a name that literal such as island, prairie, forest, valley, wasteland, vault or orbit.
I wonder what Eden looked like before the Darkness, and what the Elder looked like
Probably epic looking since very few parts of it survived floating on the ascension route to Orbit.
True true
Have you seen the Blue Eden?
spooky, right? 🙂
especially the floating statues.
yup. I sort of wish the old dawn level returns. It looked so much better than the blank beach of current dawn.
I get it is a moth tutorial, but still...
Eden was blue before launch
Ohhhh I see
It’s probably because Light Awaits was the old version of Sky
There is so much stuff I’m discovering just now in this chat
Yea, they actually revealed some lore there
Shadow kids were what skykid used to start out as. Children of darkness all the way back in beta.
Here is the stream that shows this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SS2Ep_ml24s&t=7s
Nice 👍, also have you seen the lore moff doc?
Yoooo that’s sick, I wonder if that version of Sky still exists somewhere
huh, my message did no send?
Blue eden was in the beta, light awaits, very few players managed to reach it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbE6Q816RcE&t=24s
Here is a youtube of it and a link to another video that showed the floating statues.
#lore-discussion-spoilers message
I heard somewhere that there were many dead skids on the beach
Nope lol
Hello new Lore Moff!
Read this short document to get started! Once you’ve read this, check out pins for more information.

credits to Bricky
I doubt it, unless staff at TGC keeps backups for the old builds of the game.
Also, welcome to lore chat 🙂
(see pinned messages for more docs)
True, it just looks really cool though, a lot better than the full release version of Isle imo (if it’s supposed to be Isle)
Isle looked so good back then…
I agree
If only there was a reason why this did not stay in the game.
This is practically BEAMING mystery and adventure!
Yea…
yeah 😦
I'd like to know why though....
Even after a year, the realm is still a favourite because it hold so much potential, and even more so knowing how it looked like in the past.
Hope this does either return or make an appearance in a season.
Season of Remorse or Revival
Season of Antiquity
Show ???

It was so pretty back then
Our new isle looks terrible
It’s not too bad imo, it’s just really plain…
I mean
I never have the motivation to go back to it
I would absolutely go back if it looked like that
i think skykids are made from clay and stuff
mostly bone clay and red clay but they probably have other stuff inside them as well
on the inside theyre probably like the smoke waterfall device things w a bunch of ledges and stairs and stuff, and a room in the chest for their flame to go
I assumed they were made of smth similar to clay as well
I always thought they were made of wood lol, their masks at least
Dunno why, it just makes sense to me
Yea
The regular masks might be unglazed clay
Colored ones or the dark ones are different types of clay or painted clay
yknow whatd be the cutest thing. a mask cosmetic thats obviously handmade and kind of lopsided 🥺 with little handprint marks and everything
some in game mask do look painted.
If I recall correctly, the masks could be made of stone.
i love all the sky kids so much
theyre just children and theyre doing their best
i want to hold one
I know this doesn’t relate to Sky, but you reminded me that I got a hug today for the first time in over a year and I almost cried, highlight of my day lmao ngl I feel a bit embarrassed to say that
Mememememememsmdmsmdmsmdmsmmememememememe
ME
Got a story where painting your mask means you're a fully fledged member of an explorer guild
as in, paint the masks onto their face or paint the existing masks to decorate them?
what do you guys think skykids’ masks and bodies are made of?
I want a cape where you can paint your own cape and add decos on it
I imagine their bodies are like tightly packed kinetic sand with their masks helping to hold in their light and keep their bodies together
I can see it made of a clay-like material, except it’s unbreakable
Me: goes on a long rant about krills and getting krilled
The rant: gets deleted
Me:
Rip
Aren't sky kids stars?
I thought they were stars, if yes, then they need to be made of energy. Or plasma, maybe? Stars are made of Hydrogen and Helium plasma.
skykids are possibly hybrid, a combination of light and darkness.
However, other sky kids, whom you meet at the orbit are like stars in a humanoid form. Sky kids are probably only made of light, flame, plasma, energy, when they're in their true form. But when they were sent to the planet of sky, they became more human like.
Sky kids in the orbit don't have masks either.
true.
What may support the hybrid angle is at the end of eden, are a darken version of the skykid and you hug a light kid (headcanon nickname). These two halves seem to make up the skykid.
Yeah, probably.
you are not wrong about the star theory.
The lore channel is mostly fanon in any case.
Fun fact, the winged light used to be called stars in the game.
Maybe skids are stars in a clay shell?
And then the fire thing, because you need fire to harden clay, once they run out of flame they start to fall apart
I think of that too
Tho I also think that skids are like a pure diamond or smthn (since they can absorb WLs and WLs are light after all)
Maybe
They might be like that when they're on the planet of sky. But when they're in the orbit, they are made of pure energy.
Diamonds aren't the only things capable of storing energy.
Ok
So uh, what are the other things capable of syoring energy?
Every object is capable of it.
light creatures, candles, flames, clouds, intense sunlight and skykids can charge and supposed store light (depends on the source)/
Frozen, or cold objects melt by absorbing more energy.
There is a big flaw here
[What]
If sky kids are made of energy, like H2 and He plasmas, then they must have a very powerful gravity. Or else they'll just fade away.
the world of sky may have some things that do not make sense.
ex. the ice rink water is basically using the same water law as in SpongebobSquarepants.
You can walk and fly in that water, you dont need to hold you breath, flames can exist under the water and jellyfish can float down there.
Still dont get why that particular pond of water is like that, by every other water source in the game does not let skykids use there candles and swim on the surface.
Yeah, that place is one of the most strange places in sky.
Most of the things do make sense.
That pond is said to have one of the purest mountains water.. maybe since it’s so pure we can be under there..
true, would holy mountain water allow candles to burn in it though?
Have you noticed the diamond ♦️ symbol is everywhere in in vault of KNOWLEDGE
Yep.. even in the lanterns.. (I’m just trying to show off a horrible photo of me )
In vault there is obviously high tech. Are the diamonds used as a source of energy to power up their inventions?
Yep.. and it is hypothesized that the diamonds are what caused the destruction of the kingdom x)
So I visited the flight island thinking about yesterday’s discussion about how Light Whisperer may have died and well
I noticed that Flight Guide and Whisperer have a tunnel connecting their two areas, so Guide could check on them
Which further cements my belief in that theory
Has anyone noticed the text when you go in the flight area. It says rebuild the path of an ancient kingdom or sumthin like that
Happy lore chat Birthday!
(if my memory of that one message somewhere is right)
Ohhhh I forgot even tho I said that..

Happy lore chat birthday? 🎂
Lore chat was first created in October 10th 2019
Oh. Yay. Hmmmmmmm. I want a season about lore. Yummy scrumtios lore like this cake I made for lore chat’s birthday. Ok so.... You know the new trailer right. At the end of it gave me chills. Maybe tgc is giving us clues about an upcoming season?
Oh my god I’m so dumb
I didn’t watch it all the way through.. that looks so cool tho
At the end I heard krill noises 👀
Ok so I made some theories while killling my brain... Maybe eden was once a great place like a uhhh spirit world? Where people end their adventures. Ok so... It was ruined by darkness and the elder is either evil or ran away cause of the darkness. And uhhhh is religion allowed here. Like a tad bit. Prob not imma check the rules
At the end of the Flight trailer it shows the corruption so maybe we get to see uncorruptded krill! Ooh what if we get to uncorrupt the krill and it becomes our friend!!! And accidentally causes a minor apocalypse at the wind tunnels but who cares.
wait what flight trailer im confused
||I think it was just showing a future quest ( from a beta player hehe)||
Season of Flight had a trailer on Youtube. It's really cool!
So do those murals show only while candles are lit? Because it seems when darkness came the murals receded so I assume the darkness made the candles go out.
This makes everything a lot more interesting
Quick theory: I think the entire ancient Kingdom was called Eden, with the darkstone being the ‚forbidden fruit‘. What we call Eden is called the Eye in game, isn‘t it? Either Eye of Eden or Eye of the Storm.
Today is the reset day for Eden.
While me, @rigid mural their friend and another friend embarked on the Journey, I could not help but notice 3 statues were inactive (dead) and did not take to wl. I did not activate them yet and wonder why 3 were inactive. Has this happened to anyone else?
One dead statue is not an issue, I though it was just a bug since the little prince's quest, but has this happened to anyone else too?
You tagged the wrong Vela bud xD
But yeah it's not the first time I see inactive statues.
Before the point of no return or after, because there are a couple statues that I’ve seen before crossing
After, of course.
Kk
Maybe they’re past skykids.. I did Eden today too with like 5 other friends..
That aside here is an interesting detail in Eden.
Once you lose all of your winged light, the diamond shines brighter and gives off a flash of white light, turning your skykid into a stone statue.
During the Little Prince's quest, there is a cutscene that shows how the little prince is also turned into a stone statue after the diamond flashes white.
What if the diamond can only turn skykids into statues when they do not have any winged light to protect them?
What if the statue kids were skykids that did not survive because there were not any winged light for them to gather? Then again, how would they be able to make it that far out?
Either way, I think that flash right as the skykids turns into stone is important and something I will write down as something that particular red diamond can do.
...could this have been used as a weapon?
🪶
I can find the pictures if y’all want?
Yeah! My theory is that statue kids are skykids who gave up all their light for other skids, and that it’s sort of a never ending cycle
Next time, I will take you with me as well and will try to record that.
As someone who barely started tge game an obly went through eden once (solo),
that is what I got from it vibe wise. When I finaly turned to stone I just become one with the other statues
But then again, you are reborn at the end. Do you think that someone else revives you and you just... don't recognize the time skip or do you think there is some reason that the others could not be reborn on their own?
I think the former option
Yeah like Buggo said, first option and you just got lucky.
Never ending circle has to start somehwere
And for gameplay reasons you can’t be actually waiting for that long
time skip ftw!!
XD yeah
Furthermore, what about the spirits? were they sky kids who didn't die on eden? Some have capes.
skykids and ancestors may be different kinds of characters
I believe it is confirmed by the creators that ancestors and skids are different species but in the same family or something like that (correct me if I’m wrong)
My own hc is that sky kids are hand made vessels of sorts before everyone died out
some speculation of sky's evolution
Ooo
Interesting
I love how the ancestors have birds as their evolutionary cousins
Lol
Eh.. evolution works in mysterious ways
Wait….the Jellyfishes used to have antlers???? Noooo 😭
Hmmmm... I wonder what are the food staples in Sky? And how they vary across the different kingdoms - any thoughts?
I’m not sure, I don’t even know if they actually ate food
Well, there's a crab spit roast in Golden Wasteland. I'd feel that implies food is a thing in Sky
Oh yea
I noticed the inactive satues
Yeah biped squad
Probably a table
That's one weird table
omg i can't unsee that! it's a quite interesting
There are 3 on the main island where light whisperer's spirit kneels
Krill tricks? Or are we doomed now?
HOLY CRAP EDEN IS SO HARD THE SECOND TIME GOING UP-
To me they’re more like the benches that you see at the vets
But light whisperer perform her/his treatment on his/her own island
