Random, idea being blurted out: what if the twins are encased in the ice within the ice rink in front of the temple? And the other elders encased themselves in spots within their realms we cannot reach? They sealed themselves away with what little power they had left to try and preserve themselves to be freed and welcomed into the next generation whenever that had happened
Nice
Grim revelation if that was to be true for the twins: we've been skating over their frozen and probably alive bodies for a while now without a clue.
oh-
...........
me with first comment: cool
second one: what the actual AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I did not read that.
THE MASKS CAN EMOTE ??? HELLO ???
Well chibis have been able to blink for a while so it wouldn't be that surprising I guess
I have this lore idea of the king that he died in his castle after the destruction, leaving the other six elders behind
Yeah but when they blink you can see it's the face behind the mask, not the mask itself.
It’s cursed
Why does the mask wink, AAAAAA
In this case I would probably chalk it up to artistic liberties since it's just for promotional art for the season
So…it isn’t canon?
Patch moth has winked before, so I think it's a suspension of disbelief case, for the promotional artwork.
That makes sense
Yeah this artwork is done in a way that's meant to be cute and lively and breathe more life and personality into the characters than we get just from their in-game 3D models. So things like this being canon or not is kind of a minor thing I guess. I would imagine that the spirits would have been able to express themselves more than what we see, but TGC is limited by their technology and not nuking everyone's devices with too much detail
I want blinking skykids though
Again the other places updating before discord gets the navigator’s bio.....harump!
Lively Navigator was a sailor before
perhaps navigator and saluting captain once knew each other
What if they were the person sailing away?
hello
the existence of an access thanks to the new season to the forgotten ark. it means that the spirits of the season of charms could return home. but that the wind currents Were they very dangerous To go without a boat?
Season of charms?
Season of enchantment you meant ?
yes enchantments the translator 😂🤣
Just realized but maybe the flight season was planned for autumn since that's usually when birds start migration.
I just found this from #eden-spoilers [not mine], Gw elder's shield
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/602914067044368405/892987549784633404/SKY_20210928_212523_.jpg
Honestly Eden looks so much like the other realms, it's fun to draw parallels between them
The layout before PNR and death looks like Wasteland
During the ascent, a lot of the places look like Valley and even the Valley races
Then you have jellyfish similar to the ones seen in Forest
The door to the second area of Eden – with the krill and rocks – is the Isle door
And I find those parallels really interesting
It is autum here
I always found the area while ascending being like Valley or when Valley probably had Jellyfish to run around and do sports
(or the area being what it was when there was an area between Valley and Wasteland before Wasteland fell)
They probably also used Mantas which are gone out of there mostly for some reason, at least in most parts in Valley
(Also the door out of Orbit seems similar to Isle start door!)
why does the isle of dawn gate ring on the hour?
To be annoying
But I'm sure there's a connection between Isle and Eden; I'm just not sure what
Isle is the beginning, Eden is the end :3
Ahaha whoops the castle broke
ok so i think wht im trying to ask is. is starting in isle a thing because of game design (start at easy, move to hard)
without game-canon in mind would it be possible for skids to be born elsewhere or would it still be only isle
ig i just like the idea of a skykid being aple to mistakenly fall into the wrong realm and be 'born' there
or maybe they can, but they wont awaken
There has been one other case where the skykid would eb reborn outside of home.
When you complete the final quest for theblittle prince, you will be reborn in the starry desert.
One can assune it is for the sake of convenience, though I want to believe there is something else at play here.
If anything, what if while the skykid led the little prince throigh the portal, the held on long enough to chabge their rebirth location to starry desert before the little prince when to his home.
If the story of the little prince could be used literally, his planet would be in the visible in the sky of starry desert (as in it is one of the many stars there, not the actual spec of asteroid B-612.
Well, normally we can only see the brightest stars and planets.
The Little Prince's asteroid is too small to be visible in the Desert. Even if you account for the fact that there is little to no light pollution.
I think the place of rebirth is a matter of convenience.
Little prince area makes no sense
First of all, as we go further in sky kingdom, we get closer and closer to the eden mountain. And when you reach edens entrance and look back (the door you got out to enter eden) you will see there is the top of a building, which is vault. I think vault is a, kind of elevator that goes way up to eden. Which explains why vault doesn’t have a view of eden
The entrance of little prince area is right at the beginning of vault, there is a corridor, and in the starlight desert there is the view of the eden. But its so weird, like, that corridor is not long enough to go that much far away.
Well, there’s the Bault is a dream/hallucination theory and it says ‘Where dream-like worlds collide’ or smthng along the lines so uhh
Oo
I thought that was only applied to vault mantas bruhhhh thats some cool lore
Yeeeee, and in concept arts the lanterns we see in Bault are projection lanterns
why is they leg cut off
Legs are temporary defying laws of gravity is eternal....?
Can someone explain to me what megabird is? Or refer me to a pinned message explaining this
AAAAAAA
// photo not mine

They are ghosts, so there was an idea of making legless ghosts since they can float.
It's like... All living beings in Sky are parts and come from megabird; and they unite back with, or as megabird when they dead, kind of...
Sounds like The Atman concept in Hinduism to me. All creatures come from the creator, has part of the creator, and will unite back with the creator.
Mhmm I see, would explain the whole concept of flight and everything in between. Thank you
The leg isn't cut off they are ghosts its the early concept for spirit memories.
👻
I advice you to see this site, if you haven't.
There are concept arts of Megabird too.
https://www.tomzhao.com/sky1
ah, the christian version of the humble angel, but the biblically accurate description of one the types of angels (there are still normal looking angels included in the hierarchy, dont worry).
I think that is an ophanim, also known as wheels.
First time I visited that area, the structure reminded me of a gyroscope…
do the elders regret on what happened to eden king
possibly
hold up who’s the eden king? also how did all the spirits die? did they die at the same time?
All spirits are dead, and the eden king is sometimes presumed to be the Sky Prince, the golden child in thr Prophecy cave murals. The Eden King was ruler over all of sky
Does anyone know what is this thing
Oh think that’s a miscolorered spirit manta
miscolored spirit manta, the elder one
My headcanon is that that's what the krill looked like before it was corrupted
if it's the miscolored spirit manta is it shy to show itself or tgc just hide it?
Is it dangerous to go near it ?
Only one way to find out :)
should I go and try to get closer for it for science
YES i cried at the little tunnel reminescent if the sliding race, the architecture for valley, golden wastes and Eden is pretty homogeneous too...
The towers crumbling around you,,, 🥺 😭 😭
Priceless relics of the past, spinning endlessly in raging storms. I'd totally do an excursion here to uncover secrets while fighting against the howling winds.
But yeah, back to lore, as a moth I felt like it symbolized that, as much as you can hold onto the remains of a fallen civilization, the past will never truly come back. You can't bring the ancestors back to life, only ensure they are not fossilizing in their own corpse any longer, and you don't have the means to restore the towns and cities exactly to what they were before. You can only move on and try not to repeat the mistakes of those that came before you.
i love those bits of characterization they're posting for the flight spirits
Me too! I feel like they’re really leaning into the characters this time around
That is another cosmic whale, the same kind of creature as the one on that floor.
You need to go OOB to reach it.
The cosmic whale always reminded me of marine flatworms!
Hello can I have a smol summary from the lore from sky? I'm new to understand it can be short doesn't have to be big!
Check out the pins for the lore documents! It’s a comprehensive summary of the canon lore we know and another that’s dedicated to theories
Canon Sky Lore
https://docs.google.com/document/d/10ZWJRGiJSrIXgDvJ4pST61moZbVB_hBExUjOaF-pmOE/mobilebasic
This should go over most of it
I’ll look into that!
So I was looking at concept art and the king maybe could have put himself inside a diamond before he became corrupt
Also corrupt descendants Kinda look like the statues in Eden
I mean this was concept art so it could be possible that Eden’s statues are corrupted
true. These were part of the development of the game. So a lot has happened between then and now.
Hopefully the game would elaborate more on that in the future. Since some of the concept art does show that the devs might use them in the future.
What if the diamond is the result of his corruption
I feel like the diamonds and the corruption are inherently linked, I get serious vibes akin to the King/Ancestors reaching too far to gain knowledge and power not meant for them through the power of the diamonds
in the concept art it says that Dark Stone “grants the Acenstors technology power but is also the source of their corruption.” Even though that’s just concept art I still feel like that idea had carried on through to the game.
I have a theory where the king tried to do something with dark magic but ending up getting out of control making the sky world into corruption
Would anyone like to look at the lotus boat fanart I posted?

I theorise his neutral side stays in diamond, this could add on it!
It's beautiful :O
The Eden there seemed to be a representative of Eden instead of actually be Eden itself, like a fictional representation of his death area.
Headcanon but they're now fading off of the Sky world, probably relived, moving into orbit, but coming down to meet you.
Either in the halfway coming down or halfway going up but that's what I interpreted of it lol
Yeah I feel you too, the spirits are probably only still in the world for gameplay reasons. Logically they’re probably ascended into orbit and perhaps have left a bit of their spirit behind as like, an echo or something that skykids are able to still interact with.
True...something like a husk of who they were, if you will
I don't think it's anything for lore, I interpreted that as a gameplay reason really
Now that I think about it everyone is dead “-“
Also this is interesting because somehow we’re hybrids
That’s from concept art that’s not necessarily canon anymore, but yeah. It does seem to imply that Skykids are a sort of balanced joining of light and possibly darkness/dark stone right in the middle
Yup it’s just so weird to me like how it could of all happened
while that is true to concept art that does not make it to the game, or got changed in the mean time.
Some of them can still have validity because some of the concept art might be used in the future of the game.
Yeah that’s what I’m betting on too Raider
Random thoughts about the statues
(Lots of text, sorry bad English)
Every time in the occasional rock zone, my friend always say "How did these kids die at safe zone like this? They go by group and there is even a lamp". Until yesterday I figured something out.
Statues in Eden stay there until someone give winged light to them.
Of course for gameplay seek, we will get reborn immediately. Imagine travelling spirit gonna leave in a few hours, you run out of AC, and need to speed run Eden, but you statue stay somewhere unoticed, between hundreds of other sky kids statues (looking at how big the mountain is from far away, Eden must be actually bigger than the map we play, and more statues)
And then you get reborn you realize 2 seasons already passed.
So if I were a sky kid, when about half of my winged light gone, I will turn back, and try to die somewhere near the entrance, near lamp, so even moths can give light to me. Maybe try to strike some fancy pose to get noticed! The ones die too far away can only be saved by few strongest kids, and take much longer to reborn.
Story-wise, maybe there is no travelling spirits, but the statues in Eden may not stay forever. Statues we lit still have a bit of light left in their cracks. But if they stay there too long, with all the darkness around, they may have nothing left but the empty shell. So the farer a kid die, higher chance they can never be reborn again.
Here is proof why I can say that some of the concept art can be used in later updates.
The elder manta in this art (April 2017) was added in the season of Sanctuary (July 2020).
Hello everyone I exist again. Anyway time for some color theory concerns!
Why are most of the candles around Sky red? The only things that are red are your candles and hostile darkness. Neither have good implications just stranded around the realms.
That is a good point. I am not sure why it is like that.
Anyone know what this means? Idk if this is the appropriate channel for this but i keep seeing it and wondering why its there 😭
That’s exactly what I think happened in Eden
I feel like the Eye of Eden is itself the diamond. The king and people tried to use its power as a power diamond to collect more light, or maybe even lift them up to the spirits in the sky/Light/Megabird. It was sucking up all the light in the region, and started tearing the mountain apart
I think it summoned an old spirit I’m not entirely sure tho
||pls correct me if I’m wrong||
Omgg thats so coolll thank u sm!!
Eel constellation from light awaits ! There's a turtle one in the village and a sparrow one in the bird nest too.
Red has a lot of different meanings in other cultures! In China it means luck and joyfulness, and in Japan it means peace and is often used to ward off evil spirits.
And in India, specifically Hindu culture, red can mean like innocence and purity. Babies are given red marks on their forehead when they’re born or during festivals.
That used to be an old quest during the beta of the game.
The quest was an early version of a spirit memory, but instead of a the ancestor spirit, that one would give you a spectral eel.
There are 2 other stones like that one in Daylight Prairie. The one in the village area would have given you a sea turtle and the other in bird nest gives you a bird.
@hushed steeple was on the right track.
@rigid mural is correct.
I think that because Sky so obviously takes after a lot of different cultures, among them being Hinduism and Bhuddism, so it makes sense that the aesthetics would call upon those meanings.
I seee thats so cool!! Thank u so much, i love thatt
@nimble ingot
@rigid mural
The red of the crystals are probably meant to fit with the overall scheme of Eden while standing out; it is wierd it doesn't fit the warm tones=safe and cold tones=danger thing, but maybe it's meant to trick the player.
Though when you lose energy, the cape indicator gets red as it lowers, so perhaps it's that.
I think it depends on the context. Red as a color can mean a lot of things, it’s really versatile. It’s associated with the candle cakes, but also with the krill. It’s associated with light, but also with the crystals in Eden. I think that the concept here is that it doesn’t have one distinct meaning, rather, it’s interpreted different depending on the environment that surrounds it.
The thing is they used visual language for concepts than then got cut, but the visual language is still there.
So I still think skykids are like an hybrid of all that came before and that the society forgot mega. I don’t think skykids are half dark though. Only part ancestor and Elder, who have similar dark glowy colorings
Everyone, I have an idea for some Halloween Sky lore.
"former apprentice of daylight praire elder" I love this ultimate spirit so much
https://twitter.com/thatskygame/status/1444097296732278786 Lore chat! Flight Questgiver spirit lore just dropped!
How about there should be a graveyard. Hear me out.
I wonder what all they know
Considering the 'apprentice' part
I am trying to find its location.
APPARENTLY ELDERS CAN HAVE APPRENTICES
that is the new season area
BRUH, just read the news! Elders can have apprentices!!!!!’
Sigh, I’ll try on my own.
I will now make a million elder apprentice ocs :)
what!??
ELDER APPRENTICES ???
theory : prophecy were all collectively isle elder's apprentices ( or perhaps only the trial leaders or whatever they're called )
I wouldn’t doubt now that the elders have apprentices .
leaks(idk if they're allowed here) ||but apparently we'll get a valley season yet imagine chaotic valley apprentices||
We do see the elders with smaller spirits in the Vault cutscene so... questgiver could be one of the ones we see of the Prairie constellation !
Yo, now I’m excited
Me too.
apprentices : exist
Lore chat : I HAVE BEEN FED
this is a good day for the lore community
imagine if elders aren't always elder but it's kinda secretive that they aren't always seeing as the general populace seems to see them as gods imagine if flight qg was next in line to be prairie elder
Actually this week is a good week for lore seekers
I was just about to say that LOL
We're like pigeons and TGC threw crumbs
oh no, you’re giving me ideas to draw
If I could draw rn i'd draw flight qg but elder sized and more grand
!!!!!!! elder apprentices omg !!!!!!!
opening the lore channel after the new announcement
The hype is here and it’s staying.
That sounds really cool!
What height do you think they would be?
i'm imagining forest mom body type but more fit for adventure
Hmmm, I am recalling the lamp that you measure your height with.
Go by that but that’s just my guess.
I never talk here but, I’ve literally been imagining the Elders having apprentices for so long and seeing the flight guide post brought me instant joy
i'm excited to be a bird
I wonder if there's some condition to being an elders apprentice? are you like chosen at birth as some sort of destiny or something else like general skill?
The apprentice’s hair reminds me of another spirit’s hair.
Which one, though. Can’t put me finger on it.
In game its a vault spirits hair, if you're asking for the specific hair used.
levitating adept ( that's the hair they use I believe )
Yeah, I believe it’s that. Thanks.
Wish I had that hair style.
Lore nugget
tastyyy
5 hearts
I don’t have enough. Me broke.
ohno, "former apprentice" ohnoohno this chat might go crazy
neat thing i've noticed, compared to the other flight spirits flight qg has celestial like hands? could this be a affect of being an apprentice / was an apprentice
All spirits have that starry skin
So like,,,,, how to become an apprentice of an Elder? I think the elders would do is to call a prophet (either any of the elemental prophets), and ask them if they would have an apprentice in the near future before "the disaster"
I like the birds.
ohh i've never noticed thank
So that the apprentice would continue their work as an Elder if they somehow pass away?
we don't really know if elder's are actually gods or false gods yet tbh
The biggest god of them all is The King I believe-
I consider them like demi gods. Fell to ‘earth’ and have some powers, showing ancestors how to do things and getting praise. But still have someone who created them. Even King.
Elders having students of their own....is really fascinating. I wonder if all guides had some tie to elders. Odd Flight seems to be starting as a forest season, when the guide is a student of Ayin. granted I don’t think a random child making a tree fort and an actual flower count for being diligent students.
prophecy leaders and qg seems to make most sense as another apprentice thingy
Theory: Seasonal Guides' job is to help Elders taking care of a small area of their realms
OHHHHH an apprentice!! I think this leads into the idea that the Elders weren’t strictly all-powerful godlike entities, but are able to have relationships and interact with the Ancestors on a personal level. The Prairie Elder has good vibes especially. I feel like it’s akin to a demigod-like role like Kamilico said.
Chimesmith, navigator, and builder have it too! It's a spirit thing.
qgs ( minielders )
That’s one little detail that shows up in official art but is hard to tell ingame.
When you're dead in the Sky world, you sparkle.
The stars on the in game spirits move across their models when the camera moves like the clothing in Chowder
Well it starts at the social area so I'd considered it as between Forest and Prairie
It's also near the temple too
Its between forest hub and forest in my books
Hidden Prairie, or Frairie, you could say.
bursts in
HAHA MY THEORY THAT ELDERS HAD APPRENTICES IS TRUE
Looking at her again the clothes are kinda elder-y
So are skykids eyes open with a mask on and if so ,why
if valley elder had an apprentice they'd have the twos hair combined and they'd see the valley elders as their idol
(Joking here)
It would be a priest that looks similar to the geographer with his hat, and would be like the referee that cannot keep up with the twins
But were the current elders ever apprentices?
The patterned front of the Flight Questgivers outfit looks like the front design of Prairie Elders outfit!
Being an apprentice of Prairie....maybe of farming?
Elders came from orbit....fell from the big ol birdnest in the sky.
Most elders have a white stripe down their chest though. Yep.
How long has the cycle of elders and apprentice Been going on ..spirts age?
if you count animal breeding/keeping a type of farming possibly ( flight does seem to have alot of relations to light creatures )
So we kinda know the origin of elders
That makes sense! Since shes running the operations, and it seems to all be about helping, calling and leading light critters.
know how prairie elder has a butterfly supply another thing to add is flight could also be the ones breeding so many butterfly
But he can make them just by smooshing.
wait he can
In his cutscene he takes the flame in his hand. Does some smoosh magic, and presto! A butterfly!
" ☁️ Has a better vision of a more harmonious life " also this part adds to my thought that early forest/prairie areas tried to stay out of the whole war thing or kings diamond stuff
Thats such a vague and wispy statement. OooOoo~ a harmonious life~ so I like your explanation better.
And thus a paradise retreat in the clouds for like the fallen wariors?
The apprentice stuff reminds me of the talk a bit ago about public representatives for the Elders.
Prairie seems to be involved with the creation of the light creatures, as evidenced with the butterfly jars. They seem to be able to manifest them, so perhaps an Apprentice would learn to do same as well as learn how to tend to them properly. They’re clearly not like real wildlife as they’re made out of light, so I think this makes sense
Sounds like a character from pokemon black&white tbh 😂
Those who have masks similar/exactly alike the elders were their apprentices maybe?
Maybe trying to set up conditions perfectly to create more light creatures?
OOOOOO BRAIN MOMENT : Perhaps 'former' apprentice could be because flight qg and prairie elder were first all for protecting light creatures but then prairie gave into the kings orders to give light creatures to forest to be used to be sucked of their light so perhaps flight qg not agreeing with this took her people to a new land?? ( sorry if this is messy i'm not good at making things sound good )
Season of animal reserve
Season of animal reserve 2
Is it? TGC really gave us a real lore???
they're like " should we stop bullying lore chat with interpretation lore and give them canon lore, WHY NOT LMAO "
For ages devs had to swoop in at times im not on and vaguely hint they have come up with details for the spirits. Is Yeti really a retired axe juggler? The world may never knoooowww~ but coming up with facts without a way to show em off was.....well kinda vicious!
I have a hunch this is gonna be a more kore heavy season
Reason of migration?
"That was all I wanted - Viserys Targaryen"
Now, looking coolly at the Tinkering Chimesmith lore, is this the reason there are bells in the sanctuary? To tune with the Mantas.
L o r e
TLP said as much “these must be for the creatures, only children would know that” -said about bells made by adult spirits that knew how to summon creatures.
me drinking my lore smoothie :
APPRENTICE??? TO AN ELDER?!!
prairie : tale of two sides of the same coin ngl
:0
Now then, if we follow the logic that the seasonal guides were apprentices, who do you think the others were apprenticed to?
prophecy people = isle apprentices
Enchantment-Vault
Prophecy-Isle
Lightseekers-Forest
Rhythm-Valley
Dreams-Valley
Rhythm and Dreams would definitely be valley people
Thinking about it is interesting, but I don't see how it can be applied to all guides. For example, the dream guide was just a regular mother trying to fulfill her child's dream.
Mr Anubis to Daleth is the first to mind. Belonging granny was a long time friend to Teth. Knew her when she was little too. Assembly guide is just a kid Forest looks out for. Dreams mum studied under the twins before becoming a mum. That makes her also a retired mentor. Enchantment was just Tsadi’s favorite vender salesman.
Perhaps she used to be the apprentice but then gave up to start a loving family? Then owl snagged the position sgdfhgsdf
Rose was Lamed’s favorite table centerpiece >:)
So we can assume the elders could walk among the others beings (Inhabitants of Sky)?
Did you know Lamed's favorite snack to give to skids is rose petal chips?
The little prince:

the little taco
“Here little darlings, have some rose petal tea!”
“ohdearpleasesaveme”
I see Season of Dreams as a means of sacrificing your own dreams to help another so Dreams guide being a retired apprentice makes sense
That just makes it more meaningful 😭
lamed forcefully making tlp drink rose tea
I wish TGC could make the cards of past season spirits too, just for fun ( ;∀;)
Then we can finally know if Yeti really is a retired axe juggler.....
i cant believe ive never talked here before (well actually yes i can im shy abt my ideas) but flights card is making me think so hard
I have a slight feeling some of the early season spirits are....well. Not much more than they appear.
Thinking of Sassy drifters memory.....shes walking......and shes walking and.....shes not walking anymore. And done.
do we have an explanation for why isle went from a grassy place to a sand desert like place
woah sky discord icon changed to flight guide
They were a apple stealer that took a moment to rethink their attitudes (☞゚∀゚)☞
Ooh, Season of Flight Guide is the former apprentice of the Prairie Elder? Thats some big lore dump right there

In beta, Eden was actually blue, matching with the color tone of blue=lack of light or loss of light. However, this became too misleading for players because a lot ended up thinking it was a safe zone rather than it being dangerous or risky. (or at least, it didn't give the "DANGER!" vibe it was supposed to give off) So the colors of Eden got changed to red
honestly the
Has a better vision of a more harmonious life
note has me looking so hard, because a bit back i analyzed seasons and their main colours and noted the use of blue and yellow dominating flights palette, specifically lighter blues (not darkstone blue), it’s a mix of technology/ambition (blue) and nature/community (yellow), they tend to have a pretty harmonious mix of the two colours, mixing the civilizations growing tech and creatures well.
But the note implies the questgiver strives for even more harmony, they believe they have a better idea, but they dont state whos vision they have a better one of, prairie elder? Eden elder? Is this why they are a former apprentice? Feeling that the harmony will be disrupted if we lean too far into technology (which is what happens seeing darkstone)?
the beef...
Beef ?
Hmm, maybe I should lurk a bit more often. I still remember a lot of the lore tidbits that newer ppl didn't seem to know. (Oh yeah, my pinged comment is above Slink's one)
BEEF. like contradicting viewpoints especially with the whole. light creatures being used as power thing that happens at one point
IDK HOW TO EXPLAIN sorry this is why im not here often HFBFBBF
Yeah, don't worry, I knew it was an expression, lol
HHDHFH
im jusy so interested and wonder if the quests will have lore, im so excited
Im just surprised they gave this big lore tidbit about the QG tho
YEA
we are getting fed today..
“OMG WOW SO MUCH LORE”
The lore: Talented Builder is a great hugger
We are STARVING FOR CRUMBS
Builder being a shipwright family (thus maybe being related to slumber) and whats his face being a sailor are cool. But anything to do with elders we starve for. This may be a only a crumb. But its an ELDER CRUMB.
“Oh… that’s…. That’s the lore-“
Flight QG: Daylight Prairie Elder’s Former Apprentice
“EXCUSE ME????
”
I feel like Talented Builder is related to the Enchantment Ark….
Forgotten ark gang, I took to be mostly merchants. But at least one to be a shipwight, make sense. Its just how they used the exact word shipwright that I feel connects slumbering too.
With my theory that Seasons connect to the timeline of the Sky realms, Season of Flight is placed before Enchantment, I can tell (and is part of the Silent Era)
Anyone know why the Isle is so full of nothing?
The Rhythm spirits just walk too
i have ideas on the gratitude group but for rhythm theyre just. theyre just having a good time
Ye
I thought of something similiar but your analysis is just- wow
WAA TY! id love to hear ur thoughts too!
My theory was that the Isle was the settlement of the ancestors before they established the sky Kingdom. Once they harnessed the light and left for the clouds, the Isle was left behind
But I wanna here your thoughts
||(also there’s probably something in the established lore documents I haven’t read
)||
Nice theory!
Personally I think it became what it is now after the fall of the kingdom
But if there were buildings, they’ve all eroded away…
Why weren’t the other parts of the kingdom subjected to that kind of erosion?
True, but if you watch the trailer you can see that the ‘buildings’ were tents so it makes sense that they’re gone now, unlike the buildings in other realms which are made from idk
WHAT THE?!?!

I need to watch the switch trailer
UNCORRUPTED KRILL HOW DID I NOT SEE THIS
Dude I got that lore buzz now

does anyone have like, a pdf or a book or any text of sky's creatures and their lore?
if it even exists
Oh, there was a time lore chat just decided to make up scientific names for all the sky creatures for fun
I didn't participate on that, so I dont remember if they kept a doc or something
I participate in it and we did keep a doc though it's been long enough I didn't save it
oh lol
If flight guide is the apprentice of prairie elder, does that mean Mr Rhythm is Valley’s apprentice????
Not related to the lore but oh my god Discord's pfp looks so ethereal ahh I'm stanning Flight Quest Guider

FAN scientific names
Probably not…
The Valley Eldars are athletes, the Rhythm guide is a performer/director/not to sure he’s definitely not an athlete
Flight guide doesn't store butterflies either
Well we don’t know what the flight guide did
We can wait a few days to find out
[[big shot]]
WoW !!
Is it really an uncorrupted krill????
it does have that "light" though!
Also speaking of switch trailer, the child there looks like the "point" spirit in isle! He was pointing in the trailer too haha so cute
Maybe it’s the point spirit as a child
And yes it is an uncorrupted krill and I want it
But what would we call it… ‘Dragon’ sounds too impressive…
Hmm
Well from a certain angle it Kinda looks like a wha-
DOLPHIN
IT’S A DOLPHIN AND I WANT IT
I'm sorry but I love the way this is worded
…So a krill is a corrupted dolphin?
Hey, lore chat?
So I actually came here for research regarding a fanfic I'm writing. The fanfic is basically my interpretation of the lore we see in-game and stuff that's confirmed canon. There have been many amazing conversations and I've learned a lot.
Now I'm worried that when I go back to my draft, I might accidentally end up using someone else's interpretation and that might count as plagiarism. I want to write my story from a moth's perspective – I want to avoid going deeper than what can be seen in-game so that a reader might relate to it.
I guess what I'm getting at is…would anyone like to help? Like beta-read or something?

do we know of other spirits who are "apprentices" of the elders?
Nope
The lore as we know is crumbs and a bunch of interpretations in a trench coat, if I were you I wouldn't worry about plagiarism since what we do here is offer a theory and tweak them a bit.
But I'm interested in reading what you got
I myself am planning a story about a guild of skyfolks exploring the realms in search of lore in the near future where the realms are restored enough to be even more alive... might have extended the area elders can influence
who's Karen the Krill?
Yeah, so that's why I'm writing a story based on my own interpretation. If I went to incorporate everything, it would be absolute
chaos
👁👁
:DDDDDDDD
sure thing.
If you are worried about plagiarism, you can make notes of where you get the material and who to give credit to.
Other than that, you can also say your fanfic is based on the theories of other people.
Yea who is Karen the Krill?
personally the one above the tunnel in Eden is much like a Karen. Always wants to see the person in charge, does not care while cutting the line and would kids that dare breath in their presence.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Iz8D_RX3DFQ_fI07ZmjM6eFCWR-0ELhOC2nUKBdYAqg/edit?usp=sharing oh well i found it read as you want im the Bates guy if ur wondering
(the scientific names of creatures blah blah time really have passed)
I like to think the candles we give ancestor spirits represent time spent talking to them since we use our currency candles to activate benches outside that context.
The hearts are probably more akin to real gifts since we give them without any other intent but to make a gift in their intended use.
Hello, i would just like to ask if there are any season of prophecy lore ideas with the drawings on the walls after completing every quest, i have a few ideas but i would like to know if there are any other ideas? (I will try to explain my idea if you want too
)
Prophecy drawings idea: From what i could infer the 4 elements of the season (air, water, fire, earth) original came from isle where the cave is, and the isle of dawn elder gave it to 4 other elder, prairie had earth, forest had water, valley had air, and wasteland had fire. This may be why each of the realms have something specific to do with the element (I got this information when you could see the 4 elders get each 4 different colours representing the elements). It seems from the drawings that the vault elder wanted to ascended in a way as seen the elder and some people going up a mountain (this could show that they were looking for something else that was higher but had to stop as the reached the ||beginning of eden||. (Just an idea and too bad i could not get the photos from the cave, i will probably come back with the screenshot)(Sorry is you already knew about this
)
@nimble ingot @rigid mural
Thank you guys! I'm actually not too far into my story yet because I don't get a lot of free time.
Are your DMs open? Can I send you a doc separately when I get a substantial part of it done?
you can whenever you are ready.
Of course ! looking forward to it
Hi. I have a question about The Office / Secret Area
Go ahead :)
As you know, there is the toilet inside the office, and next to it there's a big dark cloudy mass. What happens if you interact with it?
Does anyone know?
Wait, can u pls send the pic because I never visit office
I'm not in the office anymore
it's related to days of mischief, which starts on the 18th
What happens if I interact with it? I know that the days of mischief is in about 2 weeks...
Idk, interact with it
Dint they mistakenly put the portal there pre maturely?
Too scared to do it
oh...
That is a suprise by the upcoming event.
I cannot say what happens when you step into it, because the days of mischief event has not started yet.

Prolly accidentally put a portal there like how KTJN is in home
yup.
Some of the staff in the game might have gotten overexcited, lol.
I wanted to see if I die or lose winged light if I interact with it and I am not brave enough to do it...
Do it.
Do it for science!
Too scared...
How many WLs u have
Enough to not loose a wing, go there for lore
127...
But I'm not brave to interact with that thing. I should rest...
That’s enough to not loose ur 10 wings, go
Yooooooooo thanks
Np
I got a clear shot of it but I screen recorded the whole thing so sorry for the low quality
I thought its a dormant krill since they told me you can activate a hidden krill under the toilet. Tho my good friend Foxalyne explained it's a portal for the upcoming Days of Mischief
I’ve long thought this sacrificial bird was interesting, and was thinking that perhaps it represents all of us Skykids. During the Isle of Dawn Elder cutscene, the Elder seems to guide a flock of birds into the sky towards Eden, just as the Elders guide us to Eden where we are sacrificed to return the fallen stars to the sky.
In which case, it’s an ominous piece of foreshadowing to those who are on their first run through the world of Sky.
ded borb lore
how do sky kids see under their masks?? if their eyes are closed--
Their eyes are normally open. Maskless skykids may have their eyes closed, though that might be for the sake of the cosmetic in the game, because if their eyes are open, you see to glowing eye dots on a darkened face.
AND WAS THIS THE ISLE OF DAWN BEFORE?????
oh alr!
Just a random thought.
What if the flying creature is a variant of the bird creature from season of Rhythm?
Even though the heads are different, it could have been placed on the creature's head that can act as a bridle and blinder.
Still not too sure about that idea though.
for the love of megabird, please don't open the second spoiler, future reader. That's some pretty big one.
AZTA, the content you're talking about is still exclusive to Beta since the season isn't even out in live...
Wait where foes that ship bird come from
This was from Season of Rhythm.
The final cutscene of the season shows this.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rozpvn71g7Y
I have big question
where all spirits living?
but they all died because of eden ?
or just died
If the quest giver of season of flight could be an apprentice of Daylight Prairie.
Would it be out of the question for the Quest giver of Season of Rhythm to be an apprentice of Vault?
The song the plays with the quest giver going through the portal is similar to the music playing with the vault elder.
Not sure, all the spirits are dead though. They are very likely to be ghosts that have not passed on until the skykid helps them.
It is also uncertain how they died. It could be form a cataclysmic event (explosion), or an illness brought on by the corrupting darkness.
Why vault ? Their shtick is being a performer, fits much more with valley imo. I feel like associating them with vault just based off the sound is a bit of a stretch 😅
Question, are we actually sure the spirits ever lived?
Very likely.
They had lives, professions, family and friends.
They did live in buildings, rode on boats, had food and drinks.
They used to pray at the temples.
There are plentyvof sings that they used to live in the world. Though now, all that we see of them are the things theyvleft behind, their memories and their spectral forms.
I guess I formulated my question wrongly, I agree that someone lived and left the spirits behind. But how sure are we that the spirits are the direct leftovers of those beings (and were not, for example, created by whoever that was and that someone died out)? Maybe to explain a bit what I mean, the way I understood things in here there's the theory we were created by some kind of mega bird, what if for example it made the spirits to educate us?
Sorry if I come up with questions that have long been decided...
You see depictions of the spirits drawn on walls; i'd be against your theory by saying they wouldn't bother doing that if their sole purpose was to teach us skykids emotes, but one could always argue back that megabird could have made them do that to make them seem more natural...
yalls and so it turns out daylight prarie elder my man does have apprentices i wonder who else is an apprentice
Thank you! I'll stick with my theory that the spirits we see are left behind for teaching us about the history of us and similar things, I think... I mainly chose the mega bird (by the way, is it a big bird like the one in the announcement for the spirits of flight or in the rhythm cutscene???) because that would make sure the spirits didn't create themselves.
If I ask too obvious things or make too crazy theories, please tell me...
Vault cutscene.
Prairie and Forest elders both have apprentices.
One could also make a case that GW and Vault elders also had apprentices
(In GW elder's case, more like a general and the soldiers under their training)
For Wasteland, I doubt it would be slouching soldier, lol.
right??
slouch has depression, leave him alone
They're a traumatized bean
They fought in the war, fermented the Wasteland's dark plants, and got that poison water drink.
Then they made themselves home in the evil prairie temple in Starlight Desert.
evil prairie temple
That's what it reminded me of the first time I saw it
was the krill acctually a krill before?
And where sky kids just stars before??
-
Krill are confirmed to be corrupted beings, so likely they didn’t used to be krill.
-
Jury’s still out on that one. The creation of sky kids and what exactly they are is up for debate. We don’t have any clear answer.
I notice that in Eden there are a different shape to the spires? Than in valley. Any ideas?
HUH did they change that in the update ? i dont recall that, it was a star shape in my memories...
I think it was like that before. I vaguely remember staring at the top of the spire......and thinking it was nothing special.
I do believe that they changed it when they updated the whole castle to be in shape with the sun dog ( if that makes sense )
Maybe the architecture is just different
My take:
Red ones are symbolism to blood, and therefore most of the red candles have wax to them.
This was our past skykid giving their wax to almost every red (only red btw) candles so that when they forget their memories and be new to the world once again, they would get their cape filled to some extent, and candles so that they could be with a friend and together can go through the realms.
Not all red candles have wax, mind you, because they probably were losing their memories by then and/or thought it was too risky (like the red candles before you go past the gate in wasteland).
Or it could be that Megabird kept most there for us.
(Also it doesn't hurt much I'd say)
So I just realized that Eden always had that beam of light coming out of the mountain?
Idk if I make sense it’s 12:00 in the morning and haven’t slept yet.
Me needs sneep
I always thought it was the ascension part.
It's visible from mostly other places too which shows eden
(Also go rest)
So maybe the sky kingdom was the capital of the sky? Hmm
And you could see Eden from all around
He/she/they doesn't/don't need sleep, he/she/they needs/need answers!!
:0
That actually does make sense!
You see both eden and the beam of light, probably it's that visible and skykids have an idea as to what they're going through
Sleep = better answers (sometimes)
Now I’m starting to understand the scale of the explosion and how much it wiped out

I thought the isle cutscene in the beginning was like right after the explosion judging it's state
I think it's also interesting that isle of dawn is the only realm from where you can't see eden
And Vault until you reach the end
Maybe it’s to keep transportation only to be able to pass through there. And not to be able to go anywhere else. So that it could pass inspection of some sort then go off into the kingdom. Just a thought. 🤔
Well technically you can see eden in vault when you go to the season of.. the little prince section
Tho do you see it in forest? Not sure of gw because I try to exist there more than see eden
Ah yes, TLP
You're counting seasons in?
I’m pretty sure you can see it in the broken boat area if you look past it (not forgotten ark, the other boat)
Might just be the heavy rain at forest, you can't see really far when it's raining
No, I said technically.. But I think the placement of the seasons is interesting - vault is most likely in GW and the only part of vault we get to see outside is also in a desert
Forest is under Prairie so we can't see Eden and Valley is on top of Forest and Wasteland is under Valley
I'm confused now
Will have to check on it
Also Rue, that is true but before the rain perhaps? Or when it stops at end cutscene
The starlight desert cutscene says “ where dreamlike worlds collide” so that Eden may not be real but only of a dream.
Forest is over prairie, is it not? We run from Prairie by butterflies and then fly up
Sky geography is confusing-
We fly up and at social area we go down
Sky is confusing
If Vault is right beside Eden, and the Starlight Desert is beside Vault, then why is it so far away
Ah I see your point
I never really pay attention to it before I just followed the light
Dreamlike state?
||I hate this countdown||
Vault is the most confusing place
That eden is probably a symbolism to death of Prince being around rather than actual Eden for me. The quest where he is going there on route there while crying and krill staring at him is symbolism that he's decided to die and the krill finds no light in the Prince--he is just empty, like he has to leave his friend skykid and probably might just never be with his rose.
I went off topic
Baseline: Eden is a representation that he's dying
Wow that's an awesome thought
Should see though! Thanks for your insight ^^
Speaking of confusing vault, is the final area after the cutscene still first floor? Or is it top floor? Did we even go up with the elevator
Should probably spoiler that in case some people didn’t do the prince quests-
This place is marked as a spoiler, the only thing that shouldn’t be here is beta
Also I think that the vault thing is on the top floor.
This is the lorechat, it's okay hhh
O my bad
Imma just leave since I aint got anythin to say other than dumb stuff- see y’all later bye
Topmost floor, really
We did go up the elevator imo, it's just really dreamlike different, because it's from memories
We start out as low as gw and rise as high as the ground floor of Eden Not sure how the elevator works tho.
Where thatskybruh command for sneep?

Same
What's even the point with the white candles on the pedestals of the elders? Why do they contain different amount of candles? (isle 1, vault 6 I think etc)
And why is the isle elder kinda a outsider? I mean he ain't even on the door to eden
Or maybe we did go up, just as the awkward elevator music starts we fall asleep from the long elevator ride and when we woke up we already arrived at the top and missed everything that's actually in between
Time to sneep snorp
Happy lore chatting everyone!
||And happy pride history month||
||you guys are the best <3.||
From the old concept art before I think isle elder is retired
I just noticed that the elevator after the cutscence is smaller than the one before it
Man that games lore is more confusing than darksouls
I have a theory about Vault now but it's so hard for me to describe
The cooldown help
Try
You can do it! I believe in you!
Why is the cooldown 1 min anyways, that’s longer than #general-sky-discussion ‘s cooldown
Theory: We're actually at Eden already and The top of the Vault is the bottom of the Vault, here's why:
The whole Vault we know is just a dream this whole time. We've been lucid dreaming. Many dreams are based on memories. It explains that we've been to Vault before but as someone else (the prince to be exact). We're going through his memories in the dream but dreams can mess up things sometimes that explains why the Vault looks un-real through each meditation. And the shrine at the end of Vault is like a way to escape the dream.
After the Elder cutscene, we return to reality. With the Vault in a broken and abandoned look, that's the real Vault and it's just the first floor. The rest of the Vault was destroyed that's why we see another Vault Elder shrine when we ascend to Orbit.
Please help me correct if there are any mistakes
, my English is bad so I can't describe clearly 😭. My head hurts btw
That could explain why the different levels in vault resemble the different realms (lvl one isle, 2 prairie, 3 forest, etc)
Overall, we're just playing with our minds
Yo thats a really good theory! Just a question, is the “first” floor of Vault also a hallucination?
Y e s
Wait but we can also see the “first” floor in the Wasteland Temple, right? so how does that work?
After we enter the gate at the end of wasteland we kinda get to the real Vault but fall into the "first" floor
Ohh
Isle dosent even have any daily quest and candle cakes tooo
when i started playing i thought isle would have daily quests
Another vault elder shrine in orbit ? Where
Vault Elder Shrine? In Orbit?
Two, it's not a dream per se. Would that mean that all those people were a part of the dream too? The spirits?
Personally it's a good theory but it doesn't suit me ig, but escape from dream...would that mean those lanterns were trying to keep skykids in dream?
What I do (or can) agree here (which you didn't mention but-) is that Memory Lanterns ensures that we're trapped in our memory instead.
Screenshot from ginsy
Ok
My theory is they died from the real vault but their memories are kept in our dream/memory
I-
I didn't ever see this before
Before those valley races like things with jellyfish, from color theme?
The part where we ascend to Orbit
How is real Vault like? Just curious
I don’t know but I think this is the real vault
Screenshot from yash1352
Ight you have me hooked on the ‘vault is an illusion theory’
They did mention it in canon lore docs that the upper floors of Vault was somewhat of a dream I think
Probably like the vault we see in game, but a little more grounded
According to the theory, the real Vault was largely destroyed and the Vault we see in game is one big vision. The spirits were real, but they were real inside the real vault. But they come to us inside this ‘dream vault’
Grounded as in more light and less memory lanterns, perhaps?
I mean like… less big open spaces with no walls or floors
Oh, I see. So that was Vault before the explosion/downfall, but then downfall happened, they got wiped up and then they're more dreamlike?
I guess ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Wait, maybe this helps – First time entering vault vs. after the Elder cutscene
It matches
Just noticed the similarities apart from the crumbled diamond 👀
Also then we just went up and then upto the Sumit, then the elevator [powered by memory lanterns] just fell back and landed onto Eden's gate?
But why isn't it on the ground floor in the first place, then?
I think the diamond creates a hallucination effect
Hallucination effect? Now I'm curious because I've thought it was solely the memory lanterns
Diamond also reflects memory ig? In the vault elder cutscene
It looks more powerful
Well, here's an idea.
You have to meditate at every level. The more you meditate, the more you get inside your own head, detached from reality. This is shown by the fact that Vault gets progressively more dreamlike in the upper levels.
Also, one unique thing about the entrance to Vault is that there's a small cutscene with the tagline "Climb the Vault…"
You don't see that with any other realm, other than – wait for it – in the temples.
And it's the only thing left after the cutscene?
Maybe we want to leave open the idea that the ground level of Vault is the temple itself, and the rest of it is the memory projected by the diamond.
On a different note, I just did Eden for the first time since the update and I have so many thoughts
Sorry if I intrude, but I think that is separate from Vault. Once I thought that could be the top of Vault was ripped by the storm and that's why there are the same Elders' Tombstones in both Eden Castle and where we met Vault Elder
But in the Isle Temple murals we can see the 6 temples and the Tower of Vault has a distinctive sphere on the top of it
The same tower can be see after we exit Vault if we fly up high enough in Eden Lobby/Social Area
Another thing is that if you ever land on the Elders' Tombstone in Eden Castle, they look alot more bigger than the ones when we met Vault Elder (maybe a hint that those were hes memories of that place, after all Vault floors get more and more dreamscapes as we climb)
Here my screenshots for proof
Btw with the upcoming season I kind of hoped devs could add the symbol in the Assembly Treehouse HQ maps to point at Flight locations 🔰
Screenshot is old by I recently checked after the update but, nothing
Makes sense!
Also got a small idea of initial try being of the dreamlike state when we enter--interpreted as right after gw.
Our tiredness from the last realm and the need to relax as well as a memory play from so far (the background and music there seems to fit the introspective vibe) so our Skykid gives in and thinks of their journey so far in their head.
The spirits are real but thy finish before gw constellation because from that point (and Vault itself) is just more memory than actually happening. It was originally wiped off but to give a sense of "completion" it's there but...more barren. Because what more can an illusion do?
And after getting to Vault Elder's shrine (which was actually never finished, it was too late, but it somewhat exists and the memory lantern + diamond helped) which makes us skykids go through our journey one last time before Eden.
See nothing new recently, just got minor texture error
Looks like a map of forest of some sort (with golden being areas where you do quests. I really just realised that)
The only mistery on that map for me is the tiny house drawing (bewteen the textures glitch lines)
I have 2 interpretations about it:
-Either it's a gazebo in the broke area aswell as the 2nd hut marked with the eyelike icon (even if it's not so close enough as it should be)
-Or it's a fireplace, like the one in Sunny Forest, where the Season of Belonging took place (maybe I root more for this idea)
The first quest area? It kind of looks like that
Or Treehouse location? (this prob makes more sense than previous suggestion)
The one in sunny forest seems like a great addition tho, I think it could be that more
Woah
Well we have one ig?
So i think there won't be any more of them to be added
drops down hey hey! Quick question, do we have lore about how power diamonds are made?
in a piece of scrapped lore they're found in and mined from hidden forest by the prince
tho it probably is canon based off on the hidden forest stuff
Red candles: actually a part of skykid? This actually just just adds up to this theory, I'm not so sure but at least it makes sense a bit
(It could be a symbolism of time but why red in specific? Not white? Makes it clearerish)
About the whole Elder’s Apprentice thing
Which spirit is which Elder’s Apprentice/Former Apprentice
I thinking possibly spirits that possess head pieces that resemble the elders? Not sure
I mean you aren’t wrong… Flight QG (I call them Windy) does have hair accessories that resembles Daylight Prairie Elder’s hair
Yaya, but I think that’s more so related to the fact that they resemble wings more but definitely an interesting point 👀
Wait I’m curious if Belonging QG shows that Elders are immortal beings (because QG is a grandma)
I wouldn’t be surprised if Grandma QG (Belonging) is Forest Elder’s Best Friend
Also what do Elder Apprentices do even????
Well probably learn to be the best at the specific like, areas that each realm manages, Forest being production and mining, Wasteland being fighting, Prairie probably something in relation to the light creatures
But that feels more like jobs they’d have, so I’m not too sure
The elders are confirmed to be ageless and genderless by the devs in an interview or stream, so they're probably immortal yeah
Ye
Ye
In sky: light awaits there’s a part where sky kid learn the ability to burn and a candle appears from their chest or sth I forgot
There we go
https://youtu.be/XZBePGk6UqY (at the 4:21 part)
Oh hi Meow
The elders do seem to be defined a good chunk by their job;
Isle is likely a kind of psychopomp figure associated with boats, who, in real life, have a transitional property like most methods of transport. Noteworthy: boats are also strongly associated with water, a sacred element in Sky according to concept art.
Isle Elder probably watched over docks and ships, and their realm seems to have been an area travelers stopped by (hence the tents in the switch trailer).
Going off the QG lore, Prairie seems to be a protector of creatures of some sorts. Their cutscene shows them being able to create butterflies from your offering of light. Noteworthy that it's where you first interact with mantas, who follow you through your journey.
Prairie Elder probably watched over animals and livestock, their realm looks fertile and it seems like it lived off exporting products grown or raised here (judging by the number of pots with light, butterflies and plants in them).
Forest makes me think of those blacksmithing/engineering entities that forge magical weapons for heroes; they do seem passionate about their job, enough to kinda ignore the skykid after they got the light offering lol
Forests are appreciated by blacksmiths for the abundance of wood too.
Forest elder probably watched over technology, yes, but also general crafting. Their realm has among the most mechanisms and it wouldn't surprise me a lot of creative spirits respected them.
(to be continued, somehow exceeded character limit)
Valley immediately made me think of ancient Greece with the mountains, sport themes and architecture (my greek architect friend looked at my screenshots and thought of african buildings, interestingly). This was only reinforced by the twins making me think of Castor and Pollux. Fun fact, those two are based off sumerian twin gods who guard the gates to the underworld... and both sets are often depicted on doors.
Perhaps they have a transitional nature as well ? Janus, a roman god, also has similar themes... The next level does amp up the difficulty and drastically changes the tone.
Valley elders definitely watched over sports. I don't really need to illustrate it, the candles you light before a race are probably an echo of the ceremonies of old that could have been in their honor.
Golden Wastes elder is pretty obvious, they're a soldier. War gods in the general consensus are like Ares and Mars, a personification of violence and horror (Ares has charming offspring...) but our Elder looks pained themselves by war... Perhaps they're more like a patron of their realm like the Morrigan (tripartite war goddess that's a patron of Ireland) or Teutatis (gaulish war god that's the personification of a tribe), which could mean they reflect the realm's overall destruction.
Golden Wastes elder probably watched over most kind of military stuff, kinda like the archangel Michael in christian lore (idk if jews and muslims see him as a military angel as much as christians do tbh).
(to be continued, bis)
_ _
Vault elder's job is also pretty obvious, they're a kind of scholarly storyteller or teacher. The entire vault is a callback to previous realms, which sets them apart as well since their job is much more lowkey. They're probably akin to the wizard gods in DnD that conveniently aren't aligned and dispense magic, knowledge, yadda yadda.
Vault elder probably watched over scholarly matters and were revered to by savants and spellcasters, kinda like a library cryptid you gotta pay respects to. They probably won't do anything if you don't but you might get wierd looks and defective memory diamonds. Software engineer rubber ducky ?
Wait, woah I just saw
That's beautiful!
Funny how in the updated version you get the white candle out and then your soul bit just goes
Also that Isle is making me so jealous, but Aviary more
Me on all the other elders: serious
Me on vault elder:
what is that?
Candy placed on top of electronics so they work. I recall someone saying their name means "well behaved".
o hh h h h h
You can find more of these :-
Cave of prophecy . Where the second candle bunch is
In the sancutary islands . But u think there is only the wind path and not the statue
In hermits valley behind the cave
In forgotten ark it also dosent have a statue
In starlight desert in left side of the king place it doesn't have a statue cause it is in the air
Yes i was referring to forest only
Hmm how do the skykids multiple when they are genderless?
Skykids don't reproduce, they fall from the sky
Ye
Theyer stars that fall
They are stars that take humanoid form to help the elders or i think the elders made them humanoid with there last bit power to help them
they're stars in clay bodies
Wait has anyone questioned why sky kids have eyes open when there’s a mask but the eyes are closed when you aren’t wearing a mask
dont ask questions its terrfying
Well I asked a question accidentally so do you know why
Dont know
Aight
Yes, we’re getting crumbs everyone
Ik! It’s so cool the Questgiver’s info reminded me of a sanctuary theory I saw a while ago.
From the other character descriptions they seem to live on a travelling hospital for light creatures, with chimes that work like Sanctuary’s. And as the questgiver was Prairie Elder’s former apprentice, and sanctuary is in Prairie, we can assume that sanctuary and the new area have the same purpose, and that sanctuary was made by Prairie Elder or another of their apprentices
And the old theory I mentioned earlier (idk who made it) was that Sanctuary was made to save light creatures without the other elders knowledge. The new area seems to be an extension of that in Forest, where the captured creatures were freed and rehabilitated
Suspicious that the krill didn't attack the prince. What if the krill used to actually be good but when a darkness came they got corrupted and started attacking mantas, so the elders (since they're made of the same light us skykids are) tried to stop them and that's why they attack us because we give off an aura or something of the enemy.
genuine question, why dont the sky calls that the whispering spirits give us sound like the actual sky creature?
I think it’s because its more like a loose impression of it, or tones that the creatures will actually respond to
Id say a good example is the jelly call vs how jellies sound
The jelly call still imitates the sort of undulating sound that jellies make but its not as. Chime like. Which is probably because skykids are simply doing impressions from their normal voice (base call)
on the wall drawings in sky, what does isle's one and forgotten ark's one mean?
Could you share pictures?
I think they are referring to the cave drawing at the very start of the isle of dawn. The one that sort of replaces the opening cutscene that explained what happened to the elders and spirits.
And the drawings of the forgotten ark with the spirits carrying orbs on a ship, that then crashed.
Oooh
It reminds me of something I should share so we could talk about it
Long story short: it's about the symbols often associated with Skykids
ah, please do tell 🙏
Well, uh…give me a few moments
I had to write it out because otherwise it would've been too long
Oh, I forgot
Used to receive and give Winged Light
First off, I love your drawings, so cute!
Second, it is very interesting how the star symbol (number 3) and the the isle symbol (number 1) can be combined and form the light symbol (number 6)
Oh my god we need an illustrated symbol dictionary here, this would be so cool
😮 Nice observation!
(Thank you for the commendation
)
Did I get the Prince symbol right? I get confused between the Prince and the King
But what could that mean?
I feel like that's what the concept art does
But yeah, illustrated dictionary would be nice ^^
i love your hand writing
Thank you! My default is cursive so I just wrote in all caps here so it's readable
I also think about the circle/sphere quite a lot. In the Vault cutscene, the Eden Elder is seen with a sphere close to their mouth, as if eating a forbidden fruit.
The cores of Skykids and spirits are spheres. (You know, the core you light up to relive their memories?)
Not much else is spherical in Sky, so what could that mural be depicting? I'd share my thoughts, but they're too dark
Sky lore can be as light and wholesome as the birds and the mantas, and as dark as the dark water and krill at times.
Surely your theories are not that bad, right?
It's so bad that it got automatically deleted
lol, I was wondering what happened.
The one on artworks!?
Oh man, ok, that dark. O:
Yup, and now I'm deleting it
no, please dont-
aww (darn it, the cooldown)
Please talk me out of it I don't know how that got there
…you know what, maybe they got hungry and ate winged light
Yup. Sticking with that for now.
welp, If the game did use some Greek mythology for inspiration, this would be a interesting development lol.
Should I relay some parallels here for the lore-mongers?
You could, but I'm logging off now
Will check pings in…8 hours, so

Could someone pin this?
The Greek god, Cronos, is a cruel titan god and king of the titans.
He ruled in the mythological golden age, feared of being overthrown by his own son, Zeus (god of sky and thunder) and imprisoned in Tartarus (where the wicked are sent to be tormented and punished after death).
There is more to this guy than just this. Though I will leave this wiki page for those who want to read more into it.
Note that the links leads to info that is not for young/sensitive users.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cronus
Wow, even down there?
learning about the downfalls of civilizations and now I’m thinking about what happened in sky
Fun fact! There’s actually TWO deities named Cronos/Chronos/Kronos. One of them is the father of the Olympians (Kronos), the other is a seperate figure who is the embodiment of time itself known as Father Time (Cronos/Chronos.) They get merged frequently across history.
i’m a massive mythology geek so whenever i see this stuff i have to ramble about it sorry lol if anybody wants to talk Greek myth in relation to Sky I am always happy to 👀
I think that it’s also worth mentioning that the golden age was a time of peace and prosperity for all. When Cronus was overthrown and Zeus became ruler of the universe, it became the silver age, a time when harsh weather, sickness, hunger, and more started to plague mankind. He also ruled during the bronze and iron ages, where things got progressively worse. We are theoretically living in the Iron Age right now, so take that as you will. (Seriously, both versions I read aligned a bit too much for comfort in both versions of the story I read, especially for stories made several thousand years ago give or take.)
There is also a version of the myth where Cronus (implied to be father of the olympians Cronus but could be both or either), ruled over heros who, instead of dying, went to live in kingdoms much like the golden age at the far ends of the world. These hero’s being the ones from the time of the Iliad and the Odyssey. So if tgc based anything off of this stuff then that’s pretty interesting.👀
Sky probably had giants at one time... Some stuff in game look like they were meant for giants and not little sky kids... Like who rides that whale/slug that's as big as that floating castle 🏰 we get to see in ascension... And not to mention stuff like temple doors, some pots, axe/hammers. Swords and spears etc being so big
Tysm
so we have our first person connected to an elder other than the skids
Do you guys think the elders all have apprentices?
This has been nagging me for so long.
I want to make a fan fiction about it.
well we have solid evidence now from the little infographic that TGC posted in the news channel, about the Flight guide being an apprentice of the Prarie elder
And many ppl were apprentices of the prophets during season of prophecy, it's definitely not out of the question for the elders to have had apprentices also
True
I wonder what happened.
If the light fell sometime after the apprentices of the elders were elected
Bc the Flight guide looks like an adult or in the early adulthood
huh, good point
Late teens.
And if the elders already had some apprentices they flight one mightve been the youngest and the
Last probs
spirit rides a manta, how could I forget this legend.
Does that mean the Valley races could have indeed been done on manta back ???
That would be so cool, explains why a group of them follows us through both races.
why do sky kids have masks and why do you have to pay to take it off
Because the no-mask is a cosmetic and all cosmetics cost something? Idk
Flight guide description says "has a better vision of a more harmonious life"
Any theory on who's vision is being compared? :oo I'm thinking prairie elder or the king?
Ahh so excited for the season!! Hoping for lore crumbs
I thought it was Elders in general (minus Vault, or probably with them--I just have a soft spot for them aa)
Maybe, the Elders/King or their vision is just better in general.
Which is probably why Prairie Elder took interest in them and made them their apprentice.
i wonder why the spirits have diamond eyes
It might be the King imo
Maybe they're estranged from the Prairie Elder because they have a better vision?
Also, I'm happy my drawings/annotations were well-received
But if we want something like this to be pinned, maybe it should be more complete. That was off the top of my head; there are symbols and objects that I missed.
hey lore basement dwellers? can someone fill me in on what the megabird is and where was it first mentioned?
This is Megabird.
You can see them on the ceiling in Orbit.
Supposedly they are the supreme god being of the world of Sky. They give Skykids their cape (according to a theory), IIRC.
Megabird in Orbit overhead
(Previous pic is from the credits)
Megabird is o old lore concept that can still be seen at the end of the Eden rebirth credits. In the concept art they were the Deity of light and protected (?) the kingdom of Sky
ah so THATS what the thing was in the credits, interesting!!!
Ye there’s also a bunch of different characters that a lot of people don’t know about
i don’t usually do much lore BUT WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT ENDING IN THE TRAILER
Which trailer
Ohhh, WAI TI HAVEN’T WATCHED IT
WOAH, LORE CRUMBS
For the new season. It’s on tgc’s YouTube channel
HOLY CRABS, LORE CRUMBS
I DON’T KNOW BUT DAKRNESS IS SPREADING AND IM LOVING IT
WHAT'S WITH THAT ENDING!? LORE CRUMB AND CLIFFHANGER???
I suspect this is the darkness’ doing since the clouds became similar to wasteland
ARE WE FINALLY HAVING ‘THE FALL’ LORE???
Btw has it been confirmed what this “darkness” specifically is?
WAIT LEMME WATCH
BET SEASON OF FLIGHT HAS MORE LORE THAN PROPH
(Okay, maybe not but like YOO???)
Is this a lead up to an upcomin season focusing on GW?
Who else wants a story mode for sky?
Quest 1: the questgiver has been waiting for someone like you so Prince or King has been to the wind paths
Well more lore will come through each quests
lorelorelorelorelroelorleolreolrollorelorelorelorelorelorelorleolorelorelorelorelorelorleolre
Lore seekers are getting fed too much for this season
That’s good
SO MUCH LORE CRUMBS AND THINGS REMINISCENT OF IDEAS PRESENT IN THE CONCEPT ART THIS SEASON IS MAKING ME SO HAPPY ALREADY
lore crumbs :D
this is killing me im so scared and excited hohhhhh
Yeah, especially the season arrival Twitter post,, in the last few seconds OHH man
Hopefully the next season will have more lore too
Yeah, it does seem that they’ve been incorporating more direct lore lately from what I’ve seen.
That trailer gave me the chills wow
but what do they meaaaan
Interesting
we are EATING so much this season my god
So the darkness eventually invade the seasonal area
They came from past to revenge
Hmm, that part in the end may have been showcasing an event from the past tho
Seems likely to me too, like showing how the area fell into darkness and why we’d need to restore the windpaths. But it would be intriguing if it were showing a future/present event in sky
Hmmmm I’m speculating that darkness has taken over the world and a season in eden to gw to stop the darkness from spreading... Or it could be cause of days of mischief no one knows
Any beta players who has seen this map before. The dark version of the season of flight map. Was it before or after the days of mischief was released?
Ah yeah I saw you say this in general and I think that’d be a really cool thing to see
Ok what season of flight lore do we have so far?
Time will tell
We’re talking in dms :)) just for lore
Maybe there’s something in prophesy cave or ark?
Ouuu
is there a google doc of lore and theories that are considered canon? I'd love to catch up for the lost time where I wasn't actively reading through everything here TvT
Wait wait so there was once many wind paths but they one opened in somewhere dangerous like graveyard instead of ark or accidentally in gw in general
I’m thinking darkness came through and ruined the wind paths or it’s the king thingy I’m not caught up on
I am thinking so hard and I need to get my thoughts out,
I believe its all in the past as future/‘days of’ events would not make sense of future players and newer story seasons are meant to be enjoyed whenever
So I believe that later/last quests of Flight is what will be seen in the last seconds of the trailer. From what we’ve seen of flight there is a heavy emphasis on light creatures, from traveling to caring for them to using bells to talk with them, light and the harmony with the creatures is vital for this civilization
But it’s abandoned
Abandoned crossroads
There was no longer a need for it, and that’s because boats and such became powered by technology (see the dreams boats), technology became the center of attention, but its also what caused that downfall with darkstone and such in concepts and so like.
I think flight will display that shift? It gets dark and green like wasteland, maybe its during the era of darkness, or that one war concept or maybe its before the fall, I DONT KNOW IM SCARED AND SO EXCITED TO FIND OUT
finally 🧪 lore season
In pinned there are many!
sweet, thanks!
Or it could just be days of mischief decor and we are killing our brains for nothing
I hope not.
Lore lore lore lore like dsmp but this is sky lore lore lore
ID CRY IF TGC FAKED US OUT WITH THAT? it just doesnt feel right to derail a trailer abt a season with a ‘days of’ thing if u catch my drift
canon doc was unpinned so uh
https://docs.google.com/document/d/10ZWJRGiJSrIXgDvJ4pST61moZbVB_hBExUjOaF-pmOE/edit
ーーTHANK S
Also I think its placement right at the entry of forest is quite symbolic as the transition between the care and cooperation between the ancestors and light creatures to the exploitation of the light to fuel dark stone happens right between forest and prairie,,,
If we’re assuming those ending moments were eluding to any of it
@analog vapor LOOK
Uhhhh
YEAH YEAH, its right between prairie and forest which has that wild variation in the treatment of light creatures
sorry i had nothing to add but agreement i am jsut so intrigued
Same I’m so excited for the possible lore implications
And I will also be upset if the end part of the trailer was a doop (idk how to spell that bfbfbf)
What happening in the ending trailer? The wind path become dark like GW and i hear a krill sound?
Oho I didn’t have sound on—
That adds another layer to it (idk why but it does)
YES, ITS DEFFO KRILL SOUND
I AM SO CONFUSED😭
Wait aren’t spirit memories are just... memories. Does that mean for example the season of flight came first than dreams because dreams has highly advanced tech like floating boats while in flight boats are carried by mantas
it feels so weird to get (potential) sky lore like this..
IM A MOTH SO I STILL CANT SAY MUCH FOR PAST SEASONS BUT YKNOW
I think whats got me thinking abt it technology vs creature thing is because of note on Flight QGs thing about having a vision for a more harmonious life, if society were leaning to far one way too hard (tech) than that harmony may be disrupted and well, they have their own visions of what would be best for the society
maybe im reaching im new in town (this chat
)
OH MY GOD I DIDNT NOTICE THAT, oh my god are we getting creature corruption ark?? oh my god
A "moth" is a new player. They have brown wings, they flap around uncontrollably, and they are drawn to flame!
OOHHOHO, A LORE MOFF- EVIL LAUGHTER
anyways, do you want a doc that might help u in lore
Yes, they are memories sadly
Can anyone confirm that spirits that we relive are just memories TwT
Yes that’s what I believe timeline wise! Especially since iirc flights area desc says its an ancient civilization!
AND IM NOT NEW TO LORE I am. so invested AHA, just don’t usually comment here is what I meant!
Oh sorry, anyways lorecrumbslorecrumbslorecrumbs
lore crumbs my beloved, i am a simple pigeon and tgc is an old lady in the park tossing breadcrumbs
ALSO mentioned that questgiver was a prairie elder apprentice
So they’d be extremely intent on balance and respect towards light creature while still using their powers of flight/flame.
It’s just so interesting the placement of the area.
And then the reference to wasteland
There are definitely pieces there but I’m just not sure at the moment how I’d put them together. I could jump to some things but I hope they expand on this more throughout the season,,,,
Maybe the seasons aren’t in order for example TLP season then Flight but TLP maybe had come after flight. We need a person to figure out the season timeline. Also some of all season entrances are on the right. And and the questgiver for flight was once an apprentice for the priarie elder
See but I’m not sure yet whether to consider TLP as canon in sky seeing as it’s collaborative. It’s iffy but interesting to think about
But besides that I understand where you’re coming from in the whole out of order seasons thing as it’d make loads of sense
Maybe there was a war?
YESSS, im very excited to see future quests and piece more together!!
but also omg the two week wait
I just remember a list on which seasons were before power diamonds and which ones came after
Maybe it’s just.... Decor. Also in the world of sky there are diamonds everywhere. In vault for example or the forest elder cutscene
A war like the one between the creatures and ancestors that caused the storm, or the first one, or one separate to those or just excluding the war theory and referencing something entirely outside of that?
Maybe a war between light creatures and technology or dark vs light or something but there’s a low chance there’s a war
Yeah. That’s a large speculation and some references to that happening in concept art
In one concept art resource there’s a full concept timeline of events but then there’s the fact that that’s only a concept art
I’m gonna hop off since its late but I’m very excited for flight is all i have to say HDHFFH
I remember seeing something about protecting the holy land idk i forgot
It’s definitely something about darkness. Imagine it just being days of mischief decor
Also,, are beta spoilers avoided here cause if not there’s something really interesting regarding days of mischief I’d like to bring up
And yeah the whole holy land part,, in the timeline from what I can remember they built a large ship to protect from light creatures that I think was made from darkstone and since the ship was approaching the holy land (eden) the elder creatures sacrificed themselves by ramming into the ship and destroying it and the aftermath is what caused the storm and trapped the king at the summit of eden.
Put a spoiler tag
Any more theories. I like hearing ur guys theories 😊
Beta spoilers are obviously not allowed here, beta stays in beta channels
...oki
Oh never mind then,, I’ll hold that thought till the event starts then
Chat got krilled
A quick advice from wise ol'
Skybot: remember to take a break every once a while and take care of yourselves please, fellow Sky kids
Ik he’s a bot but thank you
Also just the detail that light creatures are all things like birds, mantas, jellyfish, whales, even softer fungi that all have soft outsides and are (mostly) based off ocean creatures
As opposed to dark/corrupted creatures that are crustaceans (or in the case of plants they are more spiky and brambly looking) which kinda relates to a dark stone corruption/shell 0_0
I’m sure this correlation has been made multiple times before, but I just wanna appreciate it
Anyone have some theories bout the new trailer ending. I’m happy to hear ur theories.
oh no, darkness is spreading anyway
Maybe it isn’t as significant as we think…
Maybe it’s around the tunnel to the graveyard and… it just looks like that
YO THE LAST PART OF THE NEW TRAILER ..
Then again… it is an awful lot of green to just be a decorated entrance…
Krills, darknes, chaos
Ok so it’s either a decor for days of mischief, a new season about darkness and light, or lore.... We need to rule out some things to know what the ending of the trailer means. A season, decor or my favorite LORE
Deffo not decor for mischief cuz why would they put than in SEASON OF FLIGHT trailer
True let’s rule out decor. Now there a high chance it’s a season. Or maybe a secret something in the quests that were not in beta?
Its deffo season quest, prolly 4th one
Since last one gotta be solving the darkness problem
I have a headcanon.
All seasons show like a "slice of life." An episode of "Meanwhile, in this region of Sky…"
A glimpse into what Sky was like before its fall.
Skykids train in the Cave of Prophecies to survive out there.
They retreat to Sanc when tired.
A child has a dream to fulfill and an entire village pitches in on that.
This season, I think we might see a slice of life that comes very close to the descending darkness.
Maybe tgc is giving clues on what the new season could be. Remember the season is all about rebuilding wind paths that CONNECT REALMS. That something big.
Or that, anyways I bet 4 candles that the darkness spreading is on 4th quest >:)
/hj
I think 5th >:)
Well then, let’s see it in a few weeks or so
ayt bruh but how do you get that winged light inside the cave that keeps blowing u off to the stratosphere bc it is annoying as heck
Cave under the island
Also if u need help the go to #questions-and-help
Have you guys seen the ending of the seasonal trailer in youtube?
Yessssss!! They rly did a great job lmao I can't wait for the season after flight

IM SCARED
Im in love with the last 13 seconds
< kwjsksj, i dont like it
Given the last few seconds of the trailer and what I saw of the area, I wonder if the residents and Elders even saw the darkness coming.
Eden looks like a storm and and an explosion. Generally speaking, you really can't predict explosions. You only know when it strikes.
So maybe the reason that intro line "Darkness came and the stars fell" is vague because even the spirits and Elders don't know what exactly happened.
What they do know is that they've documented a lot through murals and by preserving their memories. They just need someone to look at that and decipher what happened.
So they awaken a child with sentience (a Skykid), who can go around the realms, fly, explore, and try to get closer to solving the mystery.
I don't think only a sky kid like us had sentience, the elders and the spirits before had sentience I think except for the light creatures
Bruh poor flight spirits had to wait their whole life and longer for us to free the light paths
Anyway, if it rains toxic in forest, how come the clouds aren't toxic? How did the people of flight season build their civilization? Dark stone?
I don't expect the end in Flight teaser though
That was a jumpscare
i don't think the forest's rain is "toxic" in a literal way. It more like saps your character's light or warmth.
Since worldmaps are meant to represent stages of human life, the Hidden Forest is associated to that transition of teen days to adult life. The rain in there are the bittersweet you'll live through and that will sap you, but every now and then you'll find beautiful moments too (like the meadow in Sunny Forest section)
Yeah, what could it mean?
Did lore chat pick this up? A spirit in the talented builder's memory :
Theory but what if we accidentally open a path to a dark place and the flight area and other wind paths get corrupted
Guys! You know the ending in the trailer? It might be that hint for final quest or something i think ||(My theory)||
If I remember correctly, I think the rain is supposed to be a metaphor or literal example of acidic rain as we see lots of mining and deforestation in forest. Which can both contribute to acid rain irl
Wait what’s at the end of the trailer?
Everything going dark 👀
Green
Wasteland green
krill noises as well
something bad is coming
For some lighthearted comments, I ship builder and navigator I mean look at this prolonged gaze when they flagged them off the island
Also, navigator and light whisperer are siblings. My proof? They have similar hair and their islands are near each other
Would any of this hold up in court? Absolutely not. But that’s what headcanon is for
those wind tunnels bruuhhh uugghh
I think the fact that light whisperer’s hair looks so similar to the default moth hair adds to the idea that the hair style may have been popular among children back when the civilisation was around and booming. especially when we’re told that the light whisperer is the youngest of the group
Ooh true
There’s this area in vault, looks like there’s a table and 6 chairs....hmmm
Hey guys! Do you think the upcoming new areas - after season of flight - will also be connected to the new Flight zone?
Seems like it. Also MANTAS PULLING BOATS,,,

I think it's both super cool and adorable to see the boats in action up close; I feel like the absence of dark stone technology (due to the boats not being powered by it) could mean the ancestors were suspicious of it too and might have founded havens to escape it. It's interesting to see the possibility of a conflict between ancestors about how their society should be powered...
Anyone have any clue what happened to the butterflies?
I feel like it's been to long to be a bug anymore...
Noteworthy that the area is pretty similar to bird's nest and sanctuary; perhaps it's technically a part of forest but is closer to prairie in lifestyle and environment.
I also really like how the guide isn't just awkwardly standing and waiting for you to tap them, perhaps spirits can do their own thing while waiting for sky kids !
If you go to this area before a server merge, you see dark plants growing there. Perhaps this could confirm that butterflies can turn into dark plants if left... unnatended for too long.
See the prairie pots in the exhausted dock worker area that grew plants.
Might be even the whole fauna, remember the fish skeleton in Forest, covered by dark plants
Fungi are known to grow on dead things irl so maybe dark plants are a kind of fungi
The concept art does say creatures that died unnaturally/before reaching Eden left corpse...
the thing is, a while ago burning those plants released butterflies, now burning them doesnt release butterflies
When I asked, someone told me it was a creative decision by the devs to remove the butterflies
someone here gives links but i'm not sure where that person is
there's very informative links in the pins though! (i'm new here too so i can't answer your question directly sorry
)
Favorite seasonal spirit? Light Whisperer
Tinkering Chimesmith 🎐 Talented Builder
Lively Navigator 🚩 Season of Flight Guide
i found this lore moff doc in discord search; might help you out!
https://docs.google.com/document/d/18B1-SKG3toG0oH0VhOWC5o-cG9u0STAN92QvmbhTDto/edit
Ooh, ooh – the red stones we see in Eden – the ones that jut out of the rock – could that be the Darkstone?
Those are known as corrupted darkstone!
Darkstone: granted the ancestors technological powers, but was also the source of their corruption...
How do we exactly know if it really is darkstone
…so we don't see the Darkstone as seen in the concept art in-game? 🥺 (React OK!)
It is usually formed into diamond or tetrahedron shapes and often we sky kids can light them up to make something happen
Right, we don't see raw darkstone in game much or maybe not at all. What we see in their mechanisms is known as refined darkstone!
Why is the questgiver only using emotes from season of sancutary
Actually they use all of the emotes. It's to make them look more lively
It think it's a nice addition that the spirits are using already established emotes that have a concrete interpretation. As opposed to any reactions that could be misinterpreted.
Nonverbal gestures mean everything in the world of Sky ^^
Something isn't fine with this, probably the lively navigator had a bad day?
D:
haha what 😀
Light Whisperer was a moth? A teenager sky kid? Or am I just going wild due to sleep deprivation right now or..? ._.)???? they look very similar,,
yep, probably a young spirit! people often called it moth hair 2.0 haha and it's been announced that they're the youngest in their group!
It is known about what the ancient civilization was like before the players, how they lived, what they did, and one thing or another about their culture, we even know the origin of the king who used to rule thanks to the events of the season of Prophecy, But, what remains a mystery is how this civilization was able to disappear without a trace of how
Hey I just noticed something.

The spirits have constellations in them!
Maybe we'll get an explanation in this season! The last bit in the trailer showed darkness!
I won't spoil it but go relive a TLP spirit memory
like in the vault murals
the only spirt/elder without any constellations inside of them in those murals was the prince/king!
They use manta drawn boats thats so cute 🥺
Maybe, and it's something I really want to know, since how do we not know something as important as the cause of that problem?
Well we do kind of know that their technology kind of corrupted them
And flight guide had "a better vision" probably in regards to how their society will advance
I like how the guide wears blue and yellow too. Maybe not completely opposed to tech. Just wants balence
We can say that, or we can end up going for the easy solution: a mess in the balance of things due to the fall of the winged light from the sky
Which trailer ???
which one are you talking about? this is a spoiler chat you can talk about it
Season of flight trailer :oo
That last part gave me the chills haha though I wondered why there's still birds flying despite the looming darkness
Interesting difference between boat models; first one is pulled by mantas and used by the flight spirits; also similar to the ones in the Village of Dreams.
Second one looks powered by darkstone, looks like the same model as the ones we see in prairie, forest, and wastelands (and the Forgotten Ark).
THIS WAS EERIE AS HONK ???
Makes me think of the sounds krills make.
Tbh there was a huge spoiler dropped here earlier so I got an idea... iykyk
Also fellas, they got PAINT !!!
LOOK AT THESE
What I think is really interesting is that this basically proves that the ancestors aren’t able to fly in the same way that Skykids are! I think we could mark that theory down as canon by now
Also HOLY???? I just watched this too oh my god??? also what’s the spoiler 👀
- Spirits/ancestors couldn't fly (they can drift, but drifting is not the same as flying where you can control direction, altitude, and speed)
- There is a way to operate boats other than by the Darkstone – i.e. Having creatures of Light pull them along
- I suspect krill attack

I'd rather not spoil you here, just look up beta stuff.
On another note, seems like this is where they made those weather vanes we see in prairie.
I gotta say I love the weathervane design. It’s like a bird’s face, Megabird, and a mote of light all in one
Strange how the sanctuary island ones are filled in and the season of flight ones has holes in them.
Maybe they designated lesser locations of importance?
I had to compare pendants to be sure, sanctuary's pendant is a manta, and flight's is a bird.
vs
or light bird?
Oooooh, that makes sense. I guess different locations would have different styles of decor. Sanct signs might be modeled after mantas more because of how prominently they’re featured in there, while Flight seems to be alllll about birds. I’m on my knees BEGGING for the giant light chicken to be real
I see there are feathers, Big ones! 🙂
If there is not big bird at the end of the season, I am going to have words with the spirits for not sharing the KFC.
…and the bird not being around.
#GiantLightChickenTruther
Hey, now we got emotes for the king
and megabird
!
I think that this season might yield more lore than we think, Eden is clearly in view from the top of the main island.
And that castle is still broken, smh...
Oh for sure. It’s gonna be a more spread out season too which I think might be good for more lore heavy content. Especially considering the ending of that trailer that I still am not over yet. Does anybody know what that sound was, or is it something totally new?
Ohhh is there a q&a today?

I like the description when you return from underground cavern to wind tunnels
Total lore moment
What is it?
I forgot the verbatim description but it is the wind tunnels abandoned routes of the ancient kingdom
It changes ? In french, the area (when you come from the Forest social area) is called "The wind pathways" and is described as— yeah that.
So it doesn't change.
Still a big lore moment though.
No changes, I simply forgot what it reads precisely
Considering the spirit the talented builder helps looks like they are from outside the islands, it might have been a crossroads and maybe even resting stop for boat travellers.
The wind pathways seem to have suffered the same decay as the air race
I’d really like for the Isle Elder to come up, they seem to be all about pathways as they summon the birds and have a lot of boat-themed carvings in their temple
I also feel that these 4 spirits were maybe some of the most skilled ever of the ancestor spirits.
Yes one of the spirits felt like Isle cutscene vibes. Chime or navigator
Just imagine what the view would be like without mobile game limitations!
I play on switch primarily myself, I find it a lot easier
I feel like Sky might become more ambitious now with the capability of the Switch and Nintendo partnership
i wonder why it looks like that...
This made me so happy and then b o o m
Sadness
The icon for light whisperer kinda looks like that
L o r e
I really hope it talks about how they learnt to fly of something like that
Is it just me or does this bird look like the one from rhythm
oh it does
Probably the same species!
Im thinking the bells ringing is gonna summon more critters like in sanctuary.
Including more rhythm birds eventually.
better pics with 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴
So far flight has given us:
•Realms used to be connected by windpaths
•Ayin had an apprentice.
•Ancestors 100% could not fly, and know about skykids hoping that they will aid them at some point.
•They used manta-drawn boats to get around and needed navigators like planes and ships do.
•Creatures of light can be healed with magic light fleck things.
•Birdys
Who's Ayin?
Prairie elder
Sorry. Its the concept art name for Prairie Elder. I kinda just use em interchangeably.
• Specialised chimes attract light creatures
I wonder what the original purpose of capes were then
I could have sworn it flashes red when the doors are triggered.
However, I never managed to capture this because my mothy assistant is still glaring at me.
Ooooooooooo
if you are able to catch it, please do share it.
I will try to do the same.
I never even knew the temple had a wall behind it
O yeah! Im debating on if that was already in TLP and base game: “these bells must be for the creatures” but I don’t think they ever mentioned that its very specific chimes that do it before.
Or that different ones attract different creatures
prairie village. Ringing the bells summons the mantas
and in the last part of forest, ringing the bells summons the jellyfish!
And the towers call in isle summon us! (lol)
Were these boat remnants here before the update ? Doubt so, I've been looking in this area for boats during LP season and nothing but the oob one...

yesh
well actually, im not sure. They were there before theseason started but i dontthink they were here before the update. I remember noticing a dark patch recently that guided me here
the dark patch was noticed when i was in that large tunnel with a few butterflies that your supposed to use to go up to get out of this area. the patch i could see through the ground and walls. It was apparently something under the clouds on the first pic.
Beta tester here, (explanation of boat remnant, but spoilers) ||the boat remnant there is part of a Flight season quest||
Are you sure it's not just your shadow ? Or the blocked route between the caves and the wind tunnels ?
Beta tester here, (explanation of boat remnant, but spoilers) ||the boat remnant there is part of a Flight season quest|| [@mental crest]
Oh I guessed so yeah.
oh i am 100% sure.
@rigid mural ^ some photos of it
Maybe the end of the trailer is something in the quests? I don’t think it’s decor for days of mischief. Maybe an upcoming season about a war or darkness taking over?
Maybe a path to Eden?
Ooooo ye probably. Maybe the sky kids opened up a path to eden and u know... Didn’t end up well

Or maybe it's opening up a path for the sky creatures to Eden
Huh prob
Yeah had that as well, I think it's just the shadow model messing up
Well now we know how whale-friend gets around
hahhaha i wish
Are headcannons about spirits ok to be shared here?
Well my reasoning is that the birds have been seen flying in the first part of Eden
Ye same
Always OK
Pics by kaomoji on tumblr, but this could potentially mean that where we go through before Orbit is the same place as where we die in Eden.
Ok good to know
If it’s a beta image we can’t share that here
Explain 2 and 6
Edit: ok I understand 2, it was in news.
Edit: seriously, where did you get number 6 from? The whole healing with specks of light thing?
Hi I'm new to this discord thing. Im in a bit of a pickle ATM. I really would like to get the beta version of Sky.
Bro that's not beta,,, 😂
It's the statue in the place you land in after dying & a statue in the very last part of Eden
Wrong channel bruh
This aint beta channel
lol yeah clearly
It’s okay
thats a nice hc

@icy spruce k
That’s 2017-2018 beta (aka, Sky; Light Awaits)
@hushed steeple idk. It's still there sitting saying full so yh Ig it's gone
I thought this game suppose to be relaxing, but after I went to Eden I literally almost died
I mean I did die a whole lot from that huge thing ha
I mean, Eden is relaxing when you learn how to oob or if you love lore because that place is full of it
Yh and That place is scary as hell to me
Well, the end of Eden is probably one of the most calming places for me
Oh
The hug feels like the climax of our entire journey, at least to me...
I like the hug
On my first time as a moth, the singing started as the whale destroyed the tower on my way to Orbit, and it was majestic.
But yeah let's push the topic closer to lore, what are your thoughts on that mysterious castle we cross ? Dream version of Eden (kinda like dreamlike Vault) ? Separate building ? Euphemism for ascension ?
A "moth" is a new player. They have brown wings, they flap around uncontrollably, and they are drawn to flame!
I literally just started playing this game last month yh so I'm still a bit of a newbie
WHAT DOES THE KRILL IN YOUR USERNAME MEAN @pastel brook ???
Are we getting a krill in the wind tunnels—
I just got some orange wings today. Candles are so hard to get in this games. Especially hearts
no wait, i was about to say something else interesting
old aviary
New way to get around the realms, through tunnels in the clouds (kinda sounds like aviary)
so we have a new TutorialBird-like kind of bird and a new Aviary-like area!
Light whisperers memory. When he heals it theres some dots above it
My first account I made last month got messy so I had to start over during this month with my sis. So I have to find all those souls again sighhhhh
hmmm, ill have to recheck that. but it never showed the bird getting healed, just the whisperer putting them on a comfy pillow so they can heal from rest
Does anyone here understands the sheet notes
There was a tgc stream today they said that the new flight area took inspiration form the aviary as alot of old players liked it
That's actually the spirit sparkles lol, stat there looking for the healing sprinkles but I saw the dots right as they dissapeared lol
It might have been....they where kinda yellowy and I thought they stayed there and didnt vanish...
:D Yay i was right!
D: NOOOOOO I MISSED THE STREAM!
They spent the stream doing the first quest while telling us a bit about the new spirits :D
And that the navigators favorite ice cream is rainbow sherbert 🌈
I remember light whisperer was blue moon and the flight guide was saffron
Saffron ice cream tho??
Talented builders was rocky road if I'm not mistaken
What I found really cute is that The said the talented builder is very extroverted and the rest of the spirits look up to them they are sorta a mentor figure to light whisperer
I really loved the light whisperer’s personality tho!
It was so cute. I totally want a friend like that 💯
I want them all to give me a hug I think they'd give great hugs
Speaking of the seasonal spirits, there outfits are so warm and cozy
Aren’t spirits are just memory? Like we had season of flight come AFTER season of dreams. But what if season of flight had come first... It would make sense cause season of flight doesn’t have advanced tech. They have boats carried by mantas meanwhile in dreams village they have boats carried by... Nothing?
the talented builder and the tinkering chimesmith look like good dads or uncles
Well the talented builder I think is the oldest and a mentor figure to all :D
Maybe like some other theories have said, there are two opposing sides people who want to use the advanced tech, or the people who don’t want to use it.
I’m not sure ( and credit to those who came up with the theories hehe )
Heheh
Spirits are not just memories. Their memories are just memories but the actual spirit is in current time. Hence: “they waited a long time for someone like you” and them waving and befriending them, and their gazes following you.
Can't watch the stream, what did they say 👀
I crave spirit lore
I crave anything lore.... can u spare a crumb
Here's what i think from what we know : the flight guide is a apprentice of the Prairie elder , those that live in prairie seem to focus on living life alongside the light creates hence the mantas and butterflies, in the stream today and with Flight guide introduction post on social media they said that flight guide had a vision of a more harmonious life, in the stream they said Flight guide just took their best friends to go live out this dream in the New flight area however in talented builders memories he's seen fixing (or smth like that) a boat that seems to be a darkstone boat and not one of the ones that are pulled by mantas
Lively navigator likes rainbow sherbert ice-cream
Adding to this Light whisperer is blue moon
Talented builder is rocky road and flight guide is saffrons I can't remember chimesmiths tho
Did they say anything else ?
The lively navigator is a really extroverted and lively person!
Hence the name
Yeah :D hold on uh talented builder is like a big teddy bear they are extroverted and all the other spirits look up to them they are a mentor figure to all but especially light whisperer
They also tried to make the new area like the old aviary! They took small details and added them into the flight paths!
The spirits are basically a bunch of best friends that left to go live out Their (flight guides) vision of a more harmonious life with the light creatures :D
Wish that were me tbh
Yeah like imagine going out and living your dream with your best friends that would be awesome
Wait guys idk if I'm right (not a huge lore person) but did talented builder... build the boat for the pointing candlemaker guy?
Almost forgot that the mantas had followed light whisperer to the flight paths :D
It might be?
oh, is it not confirmed? or is the hair like different
I am not sure
It probably Is I think tgc tends to use spirits that are already established then throwing In a random spirit we've never seen before
ah ok, he's my favorite spirit (lmao) so I was extremely confused when I saw him lol
It looks like it! The hair is the same.
My general take is that season of flight took part when darkstone technology was already around it just that the flight spirits choose not to use the technology
TGC likes to connect the spirits together sometimes. Like in TLP where the soldiers can be seen in the jar scene.
Prophecy also had spirits being mentored(?) By the prophets
oh yeah I heard ab that lol I think it's pretty cool although idk how that makes sense considering the little prince characters are from another universe
Well either way, spirits show up in other’s memories to show that they are connected. Builder def built/fixed a boat for Pointing, youre right about that.
In the official trailer the end credits seem dark with krill noises, what's up with that
We don't know we've been theorising that for a while
Personally, it doesn’t sound like a krill noise to me. It’s less creature-y sounding and moreso reminds me of a storm. But it’s hard to say, nobody knows yet.
The few seconds have been going over my mind the whole day, can't wait for TGC to show what they're up to
The Devs today in stream said that they know we've been wanting lore and are excited to share alot about it in this and upcoming seasons so..
Awesome, good news :)
dang now I wanna headcannon them as buds although they probably weren't :/ still really cool tho thanks for answering my question (you too Artemis!)
I've now decided to join the lore hype for this season, there's so many things I have to catch up omg-
there is a lore doc if you need it has the general run down of canon info and theroies
You should TOTALLY headcanon them as buds! Pointer seemed very grateful when Builder presented the finished boat to them.
I headcanon builder is the skykid's friend
Yes i would love to be friends with the big teddy bear :3
Builder and Nav(igator) are buds in my head. Builder comes from a long line of sailors and ship makers and Nav used to be a sailor.
It is canon that Builder and chimesmith work together but the devs today described the group as a bunch of best friends that went off to live together on the islands (paraphrased) so that could be ture : D
yeah, i feel like every season the spirits are good friends (granted I only started in assembly so uh yeah) except little prince ig but that was a collab season
I think they ended up stranded there bc of the downfall, with caused the storm around Eden and Wasteland, which messed up the wind tunnles
Someone here said the boats are more primitive and pulled by mantas bc the spirits were alive before darkstone and the technology it enabled became more popular
I think because they were stranded, they just had limited resources, and needed to work with what they had (I.e Light Wisperer)
I don't really think that's what happened but it's your theory however if you want to read mine :D
Here
The two theories could probably fit together @feral leaf
True I do believe in your idea that once the storm came that were stuck there hidden and lost to the rest of realms once the flight paths were closed so I can agree on that
Is it just me or the Saluting Cap'n is saluting the boat which resembles Forgotten Ark one but mini? Were they rescue boats?
Has there been any theories about the corrupted wind paths yet?
Wdym by that exactly ?
In the final part of the season of flight trailer, it cuts off to a clip of the seasonal area but with corruption
Ah um some think it might be hinting the next season others think a storm is coming and those that think it's a krill sound they think in one of the quest we open a flight path that allows krill to travel to the flight area or the light creatures to travel to eden or wasteland(that one might be plausible now that I think about it)
Hope gives you some general theories! Uhh feel free to add on your own lol
Storm theory is closer to what I think will happen.
maybe flight happened before eden was made? i dont know the general lore about eden,, but i saw someone say smth about rescue boats and i thought that the flight spirits might've helped some spirits get away from whatever's corrupting
I think it would be funny if instead of the area ending up being full of life after the quests are entirely finished, we get a snap back to a ruined version of the islands, kinda like Vault brutally snapping you back to reality.
storm theory?
This...
Just a big storm going whoosh on all the things we love.
oh man,, that's gonna be a huge shocker for us then fuhbv
At least I hope it's just a cutscene man I don't want the new pretty are to be ruined
The devs would never do that in a wholesome game, I'm just evil
The way you described how the storm would happen I find very funny Vela XD
Thank you, I love being funny.
Maybe the end of the trailer its referencing the past and how the passageways got broken. Maybe it’s not about a new quest a new season or even. It’s just referencing the past?
Perhaps, we can only theorize
In one of nastymold’s vid she showed the dark version of the new flight area. Anyone here watches nastymold?
Me
Occasionally I have not recently tho
Hmm, be aware Nastymold also shares some beta stuff as well. That could either be the old one you watched, or something from the future quest
Hmm, looks like the old version
I still lurked a bit when the first Season testing happened, that looked like the early version
Wait what does the description say?
Ye it is. The only full scene of the area. Imma sleep now cya
It ends with dissary
Yea that’s the only one i can read
Also into
So like uh oh something bad happened during the development of this in beta
Pretty sure thats the early version of it... One of the quests would change the lighting of the whole area. But the transition was wonky that ppl thought it was a bug. I think thats the reason why it changed? Seems like this was originally the direction they wanted for this quest...
Oh..
Well just have to see where it goes the Devs in stream today kept hyping it up but spoiled nothing not a single bit about what might happen
I remember the lighting of the quest got changed at some point due to how weird the transition of the lighting was (it was in the beta notes), but I didn't check back then what it was changed into tho
I think the original plan may have been to have it start all dark and gloomy, like how it was shown in the end of the trailer, but got changed due to technical issues with lighting transition... (Ugh, why does so much good stuff get changed because of technical issues??)
RIP the lore it could’ve had
Ah cool makes sense, wait so what does it say now in live
Oh, is it the same?
Imma check what it says now
Interesting, brb U guys can keep talking although rear U said you'd be going to sleep XD
,eh I won’t sleep unu. I’ll eat
It gets to be pretty the first time we see it now....
GUYS THATS BETA STUFF
I know but that is the only thing we saw about the dark version of the flight area
Beta content should be kept in the beta channels until it is accessible in the live version. Yes, they teased it a bit in the trailer they posted to youtube, but that doesn't mean that beta spoilers can be posted everywhere without regard for others who don't want to be spoiled
This is old beta stuff tho that was changed in live
I think they were just doing a comparison between current Flight vs Old Flight area
