The fallen stars in the intro are confirmed to be Elders, but yes, I agree Skykids are probably from space too.
Okay hmmm
I'm making up my own theory for a short comic now, and I got a little confused about this~
theory: the effect of whatever happened in Eden doesn't only rely on proximity to Eden, but on sunlight exposure too. The sun is the megabird and has a purifying effect on the lands it touches. The Isle only had the clouds removed from it recently, which is why it's barren (when it wasn't in the past) but mostly pure of darkness. The prairie, in comparison, is closer to Eden than the isle, but is both pure and lively because it gets consistent sun/megabird exposure. The forest is inside the clouds, so it has polluted rain, but gets just enough sunlight for some light creatures to survive. Most of the land beneath the clouds looks like wasteland. Does this make sense?
Ohhh I like the idea of isle being barren because it only recently saw the sunlight again since ages...
can... can skykids die?
like i know in game you get reborn after going through eden but what if a skykids light just... went out, poof no more light no more power, no core, nothing
another thing, can skykids feel pain? because wow considering what they go through if they do, that must reeaaally hurt.
i think they probably do feel pain because just before you get reborn you limp a bit and walk really slow
but i dont know about dying, maybe they can (or at least will) because all the spirits died, and then it was us. Maybe there will be a new generation after the skykids are all gone
hmmmm
I thought the skykids are supposed to be the new generation.
yes but what about the generation after them? would skykids be skygrandparents (lol) or would they just be gone.
they are new currently, but they may become sort of like the elders or spirits one day
interesting!! i like that idea
Thank you :). This will probably never happen ingame because i guess they wont just end it (or maybe sequel??). But nothing ever stays still in time or history or whatever. Its the skykids job to kinda clean up after the spirits before us. But maybe we mess up like they did, or something else happens and the next generation has to fix that.. idk, just a thought
Maybe if skykids are about just kinda reclaiming the realms for themselves, a new game would be about creating new places?
Wym ? At the gate or as we die before the red crystal ?
once you've died you fall down into a dark area (which i think is supposed to be your mind/soul), its the bit where you hug the guy made of light
Ohhhhh yeah !
Helloooo is anyone here?
sky early concept?
What are the elders names?
Ok does anyone have a master post of the agreed upon lore of each realm and the elders
I'm not sure where this belongs because it's not specifically sky lore but... Is anyone else curious about the possible significance behind the hand sign on thatgamecompany's logo?
I never thought about that... Now I'm curious too
I tried googling it with varied results, but it kinda reminds of the 'as above' part of the hermetic 'as above, so below" hand symbolism, except I think the hand is switched
That's a pretty interesting theory, I'll look it up too
I'd love to hear if you see anything else it could represent
Take note this answer from a fan and avid player:
I could not find a specific source that says this, so will give my opinion of analysing the logo.
According to their web page, ThatGameCompany is "studio dedicated to creating timeless interactive entertainment that inspires human connection worldwide." ~ thatgamecompany.com
As their mission statement, they want to create works that develops an emotional connection, has a broad reach and leaves a lasting impact. No matter if the target audience is young or old, a specific gender, or religion or even a professor or an average Joe.
Since their works have been featured in galleries, and gotten awards, the studio sought to explore how games are experienced. One I think applies to the logo's design.
With all that said, I think the logo represents reaching out to people, either to develop a social bond (a community as the hand could be a mid way motion to a waving hand), or to grasp such a shacking hands, or holding the shoulder. In my opinion, it is a gesture that is hopeful. It is a logo that does not have to be detailed, or a concise statement.
The colours white and blue are that of a mystery, hope and uplifting (positive emotions) since the blue is light and soft, and the white colour makes the hand feel as if it is glowing.
Like the name of the studio, it feels like the name cannot be easily associate to one country, though instead is universal. It is just that game company, you either know who they are, or welcome to find out.
TLDR: I think is it a logo that means that the studio is open, universal, positive and hopeful
i've been wondering since the quest released on beta, how was the prince able to turn to stone and ascend like a skykid? does anyone have ideas? i was assuming that skykids are just stone vessels filled with light and once all their light is gone they turn into statues but the little prince is (presumably) a human boy isn't he?
Interestingly enough, the little prince could theoretically confirm that the statues in Eden were all human.
When I went to Eden, I found the little prince's statue, which uses the same model as the other statues, but a different pose. His statue needs a winged light to be activated. Strangely though I also saw one other statue was not interactable, so I assume that is to make sure the amount of ascended candles do not change, but you can save the little Prince.
The Little Prince is a human child, though the game uses a modified skykid model and cod to let him be lead around, and interact with.
For a character that is an anomaly to the lore of the game, he might have given a big clue on the lore about the statue kids in Eden.
What I also wonder about is if his statue would still be there after the season
I still wonder about when a skykid dies and becomes a statue, why would their statue be already activated? Is it to prevent extra ascended candle farming when going there in big groups? Or does it mean that the skykids do not have to be saved because they can either save themselves or another deity already saved them???
I’d like to wait and see if the quests are still available after the season is over until assuming if LP is canon or not.
Well...........
I'll hold my tongue for now. Though it would be interesting how the sky universe would fix itself when the prince leaves. Especially given how ghost's memories can be relived over and over, but what about a living being?
Would it be a ghost image but not a true ghost? Or would it be a projection? Would it be an echo, or a glitch in time? Or would the universe implode if someone enters and leave the time loop?
So many question, yet only time can tell. ⏲️
Unfortunately we won’t be able to relive the Little Prince’s memories, which suggests that he’s still alive in some regard. That leads me to believe that the statues cycle through as long as they are reborn (save the trapped skykid, they get to move on, wait for someone to save you), so that would explain why the Prince moved on, but that still leads to the question of if he’s a Skykid or human, or if they’re the same and this is just the magic system doing its work
Which also means that, in canon, the rose has died
The Little Prince is actually ||just a little guy||
lorewise, he is human as he is a child in the books.
From the game's coding, I assume how the little prince worked is using a skykid's model and code, but with modifications such as no stars, has finger, has dark eyes, a mouth, and light skin.
Fair enough. I still wonder if humans and skykids could be the same or similar, though
It would be nice if Sky released accessories that give us abilities, don't you think?
like to be faster running, or faster flying
Does anyone have theory on why winged light only appears in set position?
Skykids are kids in a way.
Sort of like Pinocchio, lol
In sky, the closest there is with items with special abilities are the chat tables that gives floating resting spots, and items that gives flames to recharge anywhere.
I’ll bite lol
Maybe they could represent locations where the “first” skykids fell from the stars?
Like the first place those winged light landed? And they stay there?
My thought process is that the winged light could represent the impact. Morbid, I know, but there’s gotta be a reason most of them are looking up
Interesting point🤔
But why are we colleting the impact then? Maybe the impact left something there?
That’s what I was thinking. Maybe the impact left traces of light that we can’t really carry all at once for one reason or another. Then we collect more.
Sad thought, but what if it’s like a losing battle? The impact site could be draining light from the stars themselves, so our constant hustle to bring the winged lights back into ||orbit|| is all for naught if those locations are just going to drag it right back down
if i had a little house in heaven of my own that i could put furniture and invite friends haha
I always thought they might be soul or memories and they are looking up cuz they want to go back but I have no idea why only in set places?
Really sad thought 🥲 It's like we need more skykid to bring the light back but making skykid create more holes.
We do stuff the light back in those skykid statue though maybe they are related?
Maybe that’s where your light goes when you run out in the eye
So back to the impact location then?
I guess so. Not the greatest theory in the world, but it’s an idea
I like your ideas! They're very interesting✨
Aww thanks! Though they’re a little tainted by horror/dystopian fiction
I'm not sure about the losing battle part but impact location sounds possible to me
in the beginning of a new character, you see a skykid falling from space. there is no winged light there
It was just a thought lol
is it impossible that the little prince is a skykid?
Which Prince
Most likely if it’s Sky Prince, TLP is nope (I don’t think so)
sky prince.
I think?
important question for the most lore knowing among you.
why does the sword cost 200 candles
No idea!
Though it is an exclusive Item that does not require an IAP.
Lorewise, probably a souvenir the skykid picked up from the season, probably from the rose.
Prolly cause it’s fashionable, I mean look at it
It’s nice
lol, could be because of the sword and license to carry it in public (Joke!)
it was supposed to be an iap
Ye but yknow (there was too much IAP in the season so they changed Sword to candles)
though am super glad it is not 😉
that too, mostly beta feedback tho, if the testers didnt have a problem with it, that wouldve been the case
iap? bruh
In-app purchases, yep
i can imagine it going live and it starting a riot tho, that wouldve been fun
what goes live? The sword pants is out.
i was told it would be 100 candles, so im glad i ground out 100 over last week
if they hadnt changed the pants from iaps instead of current ap content
oh....
Yeah, that would have been problems.
plus, the sword pants is essentially free, only thing u really spent is the candles u grinded for. its not behind the ap pass
last tlp quest was wack tho, apparently tlp is a skid too
I am confusion, wh a T
like I said, the little prince is likely a modified skykid game mechanic-wise.
Though I dont mind that, but like how the little prince was implemented. Why re-invent the wheel?
The season was ok.
i didnt expect him to burn out like a skid, it was kinda funny lol. then i remember that i have to try and make a fitting logic for it, its wack
The little prince is human. For me it makes sense for him to turn to stone like that. 🪶
What I thought was odd how when his statue can accept a winged light, a statue somewhere else wont accept light. Which bugged me a bit.
Maybe when other characters are in Sky, they change their forms into skids/ancestors/elder in here??????????????
lorewise, probably not.
True, just trying to fit this into lore. I am confused ._.
ancestors arent human, it makes sense for them to turn to stone. when humans die we just plop, go limp and our eyes dilate, we dont become coal, become bald and have our clothes lose dye, in a blink
If I made you confused with me saying the little prince was like a skykid. my apologies.
I meant it was because of how the game was coded, not how the lore would interpret it.
are we sure that doused skids are made of stone?
Ohhhh, I thought you meant in the lore way
I beg to differ. The ancestors did seem to be pretty much as human as the little prince.
for starters, tlp didnt have a stone mask, his eyes dont glow, his body didnt seem to be of clay/stone like the ones from switch trailer and krills dont recognize him to be of light, thats why the krill just stared at him and went on his way, instead of attacking him like it does to us
he doesnt seem to be a spirit either, hes very much tangible and alive
u may argue that its for emotional impact purposes; krill sensing a mission and letting him pass, but aint that the same with us and it wont let me go through the eden tunnel without getting pummeled
perhaps the statues being once humans could be inspired by the myth of the Greek Monster, Medusa.
Maybe the dark stone got so bad, it started stealing life from mortals, leaving behind a petrified husk.
medusa's case, those life are unretrievable, once u turn into stone ur as good as one, atleast iirc
frog
darn it, lol
phrog
The lil prince prolly aint human
Care to elaborate?
@hushed steeple
In his story, hes a star person like sky kids are. A kind of.....mmmmm imagination based star people? Its never explained in the book since that was never the point. But to the aviator, he acts very strange, can survive without water and leaves no body behind upon death, as well as living in space, and able to take imaginary things as his reality.
so tlp og skid
TLP isnt part of Sky world “where dreamlike words collide” but maybe hes his own version of whatever a sky kid is in his world.
I really think theres too much reading into why you can’t light your statue friends in eden. Its because people would take all their friends for profit. TLP is a one time deal. Thats why hes lightable. What happened to the statue kids, and what happened to you is exactly the same. In my view.
im genuinely curious if he still shows up in orbit if you skip lighting him. He has to right?
that would make the other star people skids too tho, i wonder if they also become bald instantaneously
The adults of the asteroids? Yep prolly. Skybot keeps comparing them to adult spirits to boot. Hhh.
its a whole new level of wack
We could just pull the cheap ult universe card n say Sky is Ult universe TLP
true, but thats wat makes lore boring, theres barely anything to call consistent already
I personally don’t want any TLP in my sky lore wise. Fun n done crossover is all. aside from making booze canon, im keeping that
the more i think about it, there should be specifics as to wat is sky lore and wat is sky details. it is essentially the same but its different in emphasis. u can say lore to anything- wats the lore of the bells, but does that necessarily mean it has significant part in the lore of sky. this atleast should be clarified imo
although theres no real way to do so, there should atleast be that sense atleast as to wat to consider lore story and lore detail
there's another cheap card, called "they're only meeting now" they both have existed as separate realities but are only combining now so no impact on the lore of the past. This is evidenced by the opening line of starlight desert: "where dreamlike worlds collide"
(also i still cant even watch the cutscene to start the second to last quest without my game crashing
, im still trying to avoid spoilers tho, so i probably shouldnt stay in lore chat for long)
Honestly I prefer that to something like “hes secretly eden prince” or something equally meddlesome.
haha, yeah. plus it makes it easy to incorporate any later crossovers into lore.
i think theres a sense of timelessness to every expansion they add in the sense that theyre put out as if it already existed lorewise, assembly for example could be an example to "theyre only meeting now", difference is they dont go to stormlock with us. but then again, canonically we only go through eden once, meaning we met tlp along the way and we went through eden together
Dunno if one eden is canon, considering “the true journey begins now” if thats even still in.
Then again I guess it kinda depends on the individual. Some skykids prolly only edened once.
i havent heard of that, but even so, wats our purpose then, do we cleanse the world? if that were the case then that would open up an exclusive feature for those that rebirthed, giving new missions and such
Theres more than one purpose. One of them is just to re-inhabit. One is to return the stars. One could be to visit eden? But the stars are already returned by that point. So maybe visiting eden is just for the remnants. Your fellow skykids and to see if the remaining elder can be saved.
my point of view is, when we first enter the game, its a full on journey from isle to eden, similar to switch trailer where they traversed through every realm for god knows how long. in that time we do everything we could, we meet everyone we can meet and we collect everything we can collect, the time we spend ingame would be exponentially longer until we finally reach the end basically
and once we do rebirth, we will do that journey again but this time, we dont have to die in eden
O! I kinda like that.
in that time, we carry everyone and everything along with us, including the expansions weve yet to see and experience ourselves as players
I kinda like the idea of seasons being an alightment of stars coming back again too. Like seasons. I think after first eden, daily lives of skykids just kinda devolve into daily life. Multiple edens part of potential daily life.
lol thats kinda dark, dying for a living
Dying to be tall
Yep, he’s very clearly not entirely “human” and is essentially a metaphor for children’s imagination instead of like, a literal little boy.
put simply, they are embodiments
Don’t try to draw the sheep, just realize there is no sheep.

Hey what if little prince is too late to arrive at his planet? What if the rose died? :o
Well she is a spirit
The rose did die, yep!
both the little prince and the rose died
in the original story he doesn't die he just leaves his body because he can't take it back with him so i'm just gonna pretend that happened in sky and that's why he didn't say bye to me
I recall it being vague whether he died or not, reached his planet or got lost, or if he came back in time to save the rose.
This is sort of unrelated but this was my first season in sky that i actively played in and honestly this season was really touching and sad and though ive never read the little prince myself i think it was a really beautiful way of relating that story to sky's lore
leaving your body is kinda the definition of dying but honestly I think they both did die, but dying to what they are does not mean much. Its like trying to kill a ghost.
idk I was just reading it earlier and he said he wasn't going to be dead, he just couldn't carry the body back with him, it would be an empty vessel, that and he's not really physically a human so to that effect he's not really dead, just ceasing to exist in that form
This is just to say i think it was amazingly well done and for the games first collaboration season its really impressive that they managed to tie it into Sky this well and make it full of genuine emotion. very good first impression even though i know other seasons havent and wont be like this since this was a special season
It was my first season too and I couldn't agree more, I think it was a good collaboration because tlp really fits well with sky and the journey we go on as skids
I read the book and don't recall that, are you reading it in english or french ?
It was a long time ago and I am not confident with my memory on it tho, so if you're certain of it I'm not negating you there.
At least they both are together now 🤧
I first originally started in about march but couldnt really play it because my phone is a toaster but ive been playing actively since the switch release (in june) and i already have 175 hours in the game which goes to show how much i enjoy it... Sky is a really nice game and the lore is really cool
I have the actual book file saved if anyone wants it. In english.
well I'm reading the English version so it could be mistranslated, but yeah that's roughly what it said
I think all literature is open to interpretation though, I just thought I'd chime in since it's fresh in the mind. I think like others have said too, that the little prince isn't as clear cut as he exists as a boy or that he's died - I just think the fact he said he's not gone just means he'll always be somewhere, anywhere in existence as maybe even a conscience, a ghostly being, ethereal, or whatever else he could be.
And I get the movie is completely different but it actually ties into that idea.
As near the end there is a twist in that the ||little girl finds adult prince and his world and is shocked he grew up without realizing it was her being inspired by the original story and angrily yelling “he probably grew up and forgot!” That changed the world itself. Thats why the art style changed too. The world was based on imagination and hers took over it.||
I started after switch release, just after tlp season started and I fell in love with sky instantly, it's so wholesome and calming (for the most part) and the level of development that's gone into it is just astounding
I cried enough today ! Bad !
I mean even in the sky adaptation things were a little different, the rose seems abandoned and depressed, but in the book (at least the English translation) she's a bit of a cow

This just occurred to me, but could the person you offer a hug to after going through eden represent another skykid scrificing a winged light to save you?
A cow ???
wym ?
the rose is very standoffish and doesn't treat the prince very well
Yeah, the Rose’s whole thing is about being vain it’s kinda funny
Oh that. Well yeah, it's a rose
In Sky it looks more like those people that put up an arrogant and brave facade only to get worried sick, it's adorable. Redemption arc ?
Well yes she is quite vain lol, but the book also shows she still loves him a lot under all her frivolous blisters
Ohoohho we’re talking about tlp huh? Well, my business is going down lately so…..hey kid, want the pdf file of The Little Prince?
I have a theory about the Prince:
Did he really reborn or not?
I think he didn't get reborn because he isn't a sky kid/light creature
He really had died and never get to be reborn
In the original story, he talked to the snake to help him go back home, it really means the snake bit him and he died in the desert. The pilot came to look for the Prince but his body wasn't there might be because of the winds which made the sands fill up his body (the part in eden he literally died and turned into statue)
But in the pilot pov he thought that the Prince had really reunited with the Rose (like us sky kids-we're in the pilot role. We thought that the Prince had reborn and returned home because we gave him our Winged Light but it only made him ascend to Orbit but he didn't reborn because he isn't a sky kid at all, his body is stuck at eden and his soul is left in reborn gate)
Overall, he died and couldn't reborn.
- "I have been silly," she said to him, at last. "I ask your forgiveness. Try to be happy..."
He was surprised by this absence of reproaches. He stood there all bewildered, the glass globe held arrested in mid-air. He did not understand this quiet sweetness.
"Of course I love you," the flower said to him. "It is my fault that you have not known it all the while. That is of no importance. But you-- you have been just as foolish as I. Try to be happy...*"
I don't think he made a reborn either. In Orbit be literally didn't talk--from what I assume he just...left his body then
He would have otherwise, by Eden he turned into a rock and all that was left behind was his body. I guess he left half after making us hold hands as it's the most...touching-ish place
And leaves us after, after that, finally being in contact with us...
He did talk at the ending though, giving the line about the stars which made me
STOP

Yes
I think it's both bad/good ending (base on each person's view)
Some might thought he reborn, some might thought he hadn't
I interpreted that as us being nostalgic--falling back and remembering what he said. Something like what he'd say
I think it's a memory diamond sky kids activated and it happens to be a children's book because sky kids are kids.
(fun fact the book was published in France after the author died so we can't be sure what he intended it to be)
Though it's funny how lamed (
) was depicted in the geographer book (I think ?).
I really just found him not talking...as dying, because he always does and given previous interactions + eden in general, along with books, he'd have left his body by now, therefore dying/being in Heaven with rose/back to planet with rose, both "dying"
The end cutscene and rose being a spirit justifies it kinda
one thing before i return to the void until i am able to do the prince quests without crashing as i try to avoid spoilers for the last 2 quests
"I went through Eden and the 5 stages of grief over a fictional child and all I got was this sword outfit."
I imagined it to be a representation of all the experiences of Vault members into one kid who's the Prince and another being the rose who dies which symbolises someone close to the members--the family or friend for them, who died due to their pride ish
And the seasonal spirits? Them being iconic people the Vault members faced, extra one as a common or something put as one (which I think is the Tippler representative as he was in gw and Vault members knowing em)
here's a meme I've shared a couple of times. ok back to the void empty of both dark and light. its both bright and black as night. Everything and nothing are all that remains. The world is reborn yet is only decay. Time to say goodbye, reality often lies!
Light theme 😭
ohhh, yah, i should make a dark version at some point...
Fork another E
(Oh thanks)
The ending of TLP book is intentionally left up to the imagination, as that’s a core theme throughout the story. Either the Prince dies of a snakebite after saying that the only way he can return back to his planet is to “leave his body,” or, he actually does achieve this and goes back home. There’s not meant to be a single correct answer, but either way it states that his body was never found, leaving it up to the reader what really happened. In Sky, the same seems to be true as well, though it does so in a way to match up with the world of Sky.
That's funny because the author's body was never found either.
Okay damn, I really just saw and...woah
Coincidences obviously /hj
I didn’t know that
Something that i can relate
Yknow what makes me sad?
Everytime I look at the Quest Givers (for example, the Assembly QG), I always think about them being actual earth bound spirits (cannot go to heaven or the afterlife) despite no say of it being true.
So imagine Assembly QG, after the storm, had to see his friends go as he stayed behind.
I think it was his past words which we remembered or somethin cuz he had said the same thing before
Sooooo I found this-- what are your thoughts on it?
Oh ye, blue eden
yes, please.
Small observation, but all the spirits have a triangle sort of a symbol on their clothes, it's like the attire of sky people
Everyone has it except these two because Stealth knew that it's the identifying part and cheerful is probably not from the place
The only place we share the same symbol is this one*. Other than that, you don't, which idk probably says that culture has changed (or) we're og not from here (like some sort of a prophet??)
*I didn't unlock it, it's from forest constellation. One above green Prince clothes. Last second row, 3rd column from left
Could it be possible that we're raised from, say, a seasonal place? Like season of dreams kind?
Idk it's really just interesting and I never truly thought much of the seasonal places--let alone dreams--to be kinda relevant (I should check on their outfits really)
Hello! I'm new here. only following Sky lore recently
Is there any lore of the Lightseeker season? I'm interested in the spirits memories when we relive them, but because there's usually a timer when we do, I don't get to look at them for long.
The Crab call spirit memories and the Saluting Captain in the same map is very curious
Really have to check
The umbrella was so hard to do so my lifetime was spent on it, couldn't observe much except they hated the rain for obvious reasons. The only thing I get from that is that rain affects not only the skykids, but also the other spirits out there
Or at least some of them
A small, perhaps insignificant question, who keeps the candles? They surely didn't automatically teleport there...
The candles significance in lore separated from gameplay is just overall very curious haha
In game, they're meant to...fuel the skykid in a way, I guess? (I mean they do recharge the skykids)
Perhaps, after a few cycles they (skykid) remember and repeat the process on and on, pretty much like the wl (ending up to remember places and they could probably be arranged in such a way that there could be something important happening there--hint from past skykid that something happened in that place and so they should look back to it in an attempt to remember the past-ish)
Idk could be megabird or something but maybe not as well
I wonder if we rebirthed before our official intro (which was the time where we "truly forgot"? Like before that we did remember some bits at least, but then after we forgot completely) and it going on? Could our past skykid form know that their memories was coming to an end...or near one at least--and keep candles in order to strengthen them up against hardships?
Oh.
(Sorry, I nodded off and now catching up)
That is a good point.
True that te aviator noted how the ltille prince is abnormal for a human child, though behaves like one.
Though the book (that I recall) do not explain what the prince is exactly, the style is very whimsical. So it leaves a lot of room for unexplainable events.
Such as the asteroids bein the home to different people who all appear human, and the Prince's abilities (talking to plants and animals, using birds to fly, relentlessly tending to plants on his tony asteroid with no food or water, able to eat and drink if he wishes to, and can supposedly die though able to return to his rose).
The book and the game seem to share a sjmilar logic of how the universe works.
Hope this makes sense.
I'll have a closer look at this when I can. 🪶
Oh no.
Hope it gets fixed quick!
If anything, would be able you borrow a different device to see what happens?
Yes-ish?
To me they're appearing only in those positions because when we lost our winged light from Eden, the others got massively crushed and never retrieved back (maybe we had more wl in the past than "now"). A 100 of them however survived and due to the environment they were shaped in a kinda human way-ISH and therefore became whatever they are, looking at the sky because they were a part of skykid once and skykids come from...Megabird? I guess? Or made by it? So yes
That phrase could mean that the skykid being reborn represent the skykid now knowing they cannot truly die and thus means they are part of the time loop now.
That is an open debate in the books, funny enough.
It is not exactly stated if the prince ever returns home. Though that part relies on if the reader believes that the prince made, or acted like the grown ups and depended on logic to assume the prine is dead.
Hello lore lovers!
Can I please know what's happening?
I see
it's been a while so i though my question is already hidden lol
I believe that this loop can, perhaps, go in this way-
Skykid doesn't know stuff, even basics--->Skykid knows to some extent after an Eden run--->Skykid then proceeds to know more coming of time--->skykid gradually forgets due to someone/something (?) --->skykid forgets---><insert events until the loop is broken>
Loops gives me a BaTIM vibe, really. Someone again who couldn't die for 400+ times until you have to break the loop
where??
That could be just the model.
There were other spirits that use that model and it has no details like the triangles.
I think it is the other spirit during the Candle spirits scene (the 8 player puzzle in daylight prairie), the blush spirit and the old hide and sneak spirit model.
That could be jsut the model.
There were oher spirts thatcuse that model and jt has no details like the triangles.
I think it is the other spirit during the Candle spirits scene (the 8 player puzzel in daylight prairie), te blush spirit and the old hide and sneak spirit model.
really?
@nimble ingot yep
welp, apologies for the spelling then.
~~So, the body of the little prince is same as the skykid
on the earth he's a human, in the sky kingdom he's nearly a sky kid but with soul from out of this world
Then I'm wondering how he can get the body~~
It's hard to see but the basic clothes along with most of the others got them too ! It's barely visible but you see triangles on the sleeves.
Where what ? First part is my theory, and I think you see lamed depicted in the geographer's memories in the book.
I mean, I guess, but it's weird that it still isn't fixed of sorts. Why only them?
Oh? I couldn't see then, it's more prominent. Have to see deeper
I'll come back after this hh
So since we almost all went to Eden yesterday, what do you think is the reason we see the statues atop the Vault on our way to Orbit ?
I like to think the Vault Elder indeed has a statue in their shrine, but if the theory that skykids hallucinate the dreamier parts of the level as they ascend because of the Elder's or the ancestors's powers, then perhaps the other 5 statues were added in to mimic the ones in Eden...
I can get you a pic when I get to my game.
Why does Prince become a statue that's very similar to a skykid's/fallen child's? If it were following the lore of the OG book, there would be no body to find. What the heck is Sky!Prince made of anyways?
I checked the books and see normal ancestors kn small islands, which I assume are the 6 spirits of the season on their meteorites.
Then the second page of the big book shows a priest type spirit by the prince.
I interpreted that to to be ironically the very moment the goegrapher spirit meeting the prince, which he ignored the actual prince in favor or reading the book.
So far I can recall, the little prince has not met any elders. Which is a shame. :(
That would have been cute. Maybe my memory is playing tricks on me.
There are theories about the statue kids in eden being either the first skykids, the ancestor's kids, or even winged lights before they became star fragments (that is what I call them).
The little Prince does seem to be normal human child, though with some unique abilities (talk to animals, knowledge or wisdom beyond his years as it seems, and supposedly able to cheat death). Which are characteristics tht were established in the book.
Now the little prince as he explored sky sets up a weird state in the lore (or at least in my notes), that other people here are also havig trouble working him into the lore.
All that I can think of is the prince experienced a similar fate than the other statue kids, but thevskykid was able to save him, and the prince was able to go to his home, which means he can leave the world of sky to return to his own world.
Thatvis atckeast one theory.
Lol, dont stress about it.
I like your theory. Maybe I am completely wrong and you could be up to something.
Here is the book so you dont have to start up the game and check.
I know collabs usually aren't canon but that part transcended all logic for me and became absurdity
collabs makes analysing evdience to work into the lore tricky.
Once you know what parts to exclude and what parts belong to sky, you can salvage some lore from it. But is seems to be slim pickings.
But could have some good use with answering some questions.
Geographer's so absorbed into the big book 'o happenings that he thinks the Prince is twice his height. (When its really the other way around)
Like what? The things that ancestors ACTUALLY do with dark water?
Lol
maybe the book wants to put emphasis on the prince.
Usually a bigger figure means they are more important compared to other figures in sky.
Given how the elder are bigger, physically and metaphorically, then the king is bigger than the elders, and lastly, the megabird is the biggest figure of them all.
Shsjsjsnsnnan that was a joke not lore input ya doof *bonk bonk
That.
And possibly how how te kril reacts to non light creatures, as in creatures that do not have a flame in them. And what happens in eden. 🪶
Wdym by the last part?
I am working out the details, but the just what I think was happening is Eden is a deadly place, @compact shale .
So deadly, it not only steals light, knocks out winged light and destroys it. It also drains the life off living beings.
The little prince was cold, despite being near a flame (unless I am mistaken but still), then he was taken by darkness and turned into stone.
Leaving behind a husk that can accept winged light.
Furthermore, though still a hypothesis (still working on it), the winged light might not be a soul, but a source of energy that helps souls pass on and reach orbit. 🪶 🪶
But if the Prince was never a light-afiliated being, why does wl revive them?
I am sorry, that is what I couldn't work out yet, without going too far out without any evidence or speculation.
The winged light are a mystery that has been devated for a good while.
Dome say they are souls of ancestors, other say they are pieces of elders, or that they are fallen stars.
I am partial to all of the above and more theories I can't recal at he moment.
Unless more lore comes up for them in the game, they will remain open to debate still.
Maybe...
Hi y'all hehe I've been looking into this bird/whale tail statue and I was wondering why this is the only one present in the entire game unless there are more that I don't know of please enlighten me lol
Those are left over home shrines from light awaits, an old asset that supposedly existed in every realm. They just take you home.
There is another one in the battlefield area, just beside the dark plant, and the lookout spirit's starting point.
Also it's rlly weird cuz it looks like both a bird and a whale tail and both are relevant but which is it? I've seen this statue in past videos of the season of rhythm, represented in tom zhao's concept art, and even on the gate of the Isle temple, and yet there's only two in game
bummer that they got rid of em lol I like em and they could add some lore who knows lol, I wonder though, is it a bird or a whale tail?
Come to think of it, there might be a 'modern' version (if you can that), found in Sanctuary island.
Though I may be wrong.
AAAAAAAAAAA UR RIGHT WHY DIDN'T I NOTICE THATTTT
sadly I gtg eat breakfast lol have fun theorizing y'all
they were called bird shrines, so they could have been a shrine to the megabird.
I also found a TINY bird shrine acting as a candle holder beside the catapult in the graveyard area of Golden Wasteland.
OMW SO CUTEEE that is interesting though that it could be an in-game representation of megabird, that guy is bowing to it, sounds like maybe they knew about megabird 👀
Maybe.
This guy had a sword. In battlefield, there were blades and diamond shields.
So, with the little info to go off with. He could have defected from the Diamond side, or the Diamonds were on the Megabird's side, or the soldier is on his own and prayed to the megabird.
Or the shrine was just a candle holder, who knows!
White candles are important, though also used by skykids to run things like the benches, the canon in office and this catapult.
It is pretty much open to interpretation.
flashbacks to that one cursed statue
cursed? do you have a picture?
Awww, can’t find it but one of the statues has this blank eye stare that was unsettling lmao
would it be a giant one holding a diamond?
No, it was kneeling
this one?
Nope, it’s in GW
Wait I’ll get a pic later
👌
Oh, maybe tomorrow cause I gotta sleep (sorry D:)
ey, no worries 🙂
Rest well
Wooah where is that located?
W H E R E
Where can I find that? Looks like forest ???
more importantly why is it there
looks like a giant that has been corrupted
That statue with the thing wrapped around it was in Prairie, underneath the cave area. You had to go oob to find it, but I think it was removed a while ago so you can't get to it anymore.
As for why it was there, I think it was related to the spirit that you relive in the side cave part, it was just an unused asset in the oob part. But I think it started causing problems somehow because that spirit started glitching a lot, so eventually I think they just removed that statue.
I don't understand how the dragons were the only ones corrupted
The mantas in Forest were exposed to dark powder as well, like the ones stuck in the plants
Surely there would be other animals that became corrupted, right? Or maybe there was something special about the dragons, that made them more susceptible
Hello my friend told me to join in this channel because i would fit perfectly here
@naive sequoia @vivid iron @rigid mural
This was an old model of the statues you get after reliving a spirit memory.
The darkness on it used to represent the corruption taking hold, but this was supposedly later on scrapped. (As far as I understand)
That one used to be under the map in the caverns of Daylight Pairie.
More or less where the constellation stone is (the one near the water pond and message shrine).
I dont know if it is still there.
Hope this helps.
@stark marten, is right.
It might not be there in the OOB of thr caves in Daylight Prairie anymore.
Welcome aboard and welcome to the mayhem, lol.
If you have any questions, or want to share your thoughts or theories, feel free to do so.
There are links to documents if you want to read about some theories.
Most importantly, take your time and have fun. :)
I mostly wanna know about the spirits and their past
How did they die, and were the elder spirits also alive before
And was the purpose of the player to be born is to be a Sacrifice to save the other ones who failed aswell
Because if it is that, then considering the mindset of the player is literally a young child jsut exploring the world, almost unable to choose themself and easily manipulated by being told whats right if they do that and whats wrong, thats sad to see its life end so quickly
Yea TGC are twisted
ok, @hidden palm
Know that even though this channel si where lore is discussed, there is very little canon lore in the game.
As in, a lot of thd mysteries of the game would be left open to interpretation, which leads to a lot of theories. Which is fine, though good to keep in mind. Any theory can be true, or just for fun.
Here are the current theories I know of:
The spirits are the ancestors of sky.
They used to live in the realms as humans with mortal lives and have a family. Thry used to pray to the elders, or the elders used to work with the ancestors to thrive and develop their civilization.
The are a lot of theories on how the ancestors died and became spirits. Some say it is because of a war, others say it because of a large explosion, the spread of corruption, or they perished because the darkness corrupted the land.
The skykid is sent to the world to gather winged light, save spirits, help the elders and then go to eden to give light to the fallen (the statues in eden) and then ascend to orbit, be reborn and do it all over again.
That is roughly what the theories are, there are plenty of others.
A skykid may be a child, though they gain experience as the grow. You as the player, get to learn what the world of sky is and learn new things as you go.
I wonder if the devs will reveal some more lore in the future
Lastly, there is an article I am reading about that discusses how the game is using a philosophy to frive the story of the game.
Altruism among the players.
And the Collective Journey
https://medium.com/regenerative-narrative/transformative-media-from-the-heros-journey-to-our-collective-journey-246780b42bcd
It is possible.
Each season, event and update seems to give little by little more ideas to work with.
I was trying to imagine what the prince/king like when he was alive
A small capeless kid that shines bright like firework. Must have crazy skill to complete 4 trails without dying a single time (from story view, I think people are not supposed to spawn back at "save point" when they die in trials)
If he keeps all the power he got from the trials, he will also can walk on water, make rocks floating, fly? (trial of air), and immune to darkness (imagine krills hit him and and die instantly like in trial of fire)
But maybe that was too OP, and he was a good friend, so he gave his power away for other elders. Something like "Oh no rain make Forest mama hair looks bad. I risked my life for it, but she need this water-proof power more than me. And Prairie uncle want his rock islands floating..."
Just some random thought 😅 Sorry for my bad English
It actually gives wax that counts toward your candle count
Ping me when you get the pic please
okay so
im not sure where to ask so in a day, how many candes you can get from run? excluding the geyser because im in a mild panic that i didn't realize a TS is coming tomorrow
There's a ts coming tomorrow?
i mean, 2 September
sorry
I think it's time we discussed home shrine/return shrine (also the statues you can light in Eden with a candle) and the shared space statues
which is which?
One without eyebrows is shared space statue
woah
for a while i thought that was home since from the texture of it, it looks really old and used
but maybe because the original one came from Forest and the Treehouse area rains often so I guess every shared space statue shares the same look
In ark and sanctuary, the return shrines are already covered with the scales (they get the scales normally when using them to go home but these already have them. The scales look the same as the scales on your cape when charging) who used them?
in concept art, there seems to have been a mega version of these statues. It had something resembling the bird statue on its head. The lines coming away from the flame also reminds me of megabird
They did?
Noted 🙂
Umm whilst doing a Eden run I found this constellation before the ultimate rebirth door if anyone wants to dissect it
Depending if you are planning on getting every source of wax in the game, or just going for the best routes, it may vary in average from 12 to about 15 candles.
I heard about players that got about 20 candles, though have not tested it, because this requires a full candle run through every area of every realm.
I think I get about 10-14 candles a day, though have not paid attention. I just go through Daylight Prairie, Sanctuary, Valley and Wasteland. Forest is also a good place to get plenty of candles, though when all of the chevrons (arrows) are gone, the skykid is very inefficient and slow with forging candles.
its semi debated whether those are supposed to be sky kids or a reference to the wayfarers in journey.
The old concept art did show a bigger version of the shrine, which may have been for an elder, given how the elders once looked like this in concept art.
I have very little info about the shrines.
They could be a prayer shrine for ancestors to pay respect to, or an offering shrine to leave candles, incense, or oil. The majority of them are found in Eden, the once holy place.
There might be something more to them in the future, they have been up there for quite some time and have not been seen anywhere else much.
Interesting thing from my lil venture in the first part of Eden (to get the 120th wl), Sahmek's likeness isn't symmetrical... anymore ? I like disheveled statues as an euphemism for a fallen or at least falling civilization.
Presence of a broken boat in the Eden social space; perhaps it was flung there when the Storm was born, or a few surviving spirits didn't make it as they probably tried to flee from there. We're right next to the Vault exit so it probably isn't spirits coming from outside, seeing how it was guarded.
Also interesting to note, the Elders in the cutscene where they bow to you aren't lit up like they are after personally receiving your light offering; perhaps normal candles are only an ephemeral power boost, just enough to survive, but the ascended candles they get in Eden (for the ultimate gift) are permanent or at least way longer-lasting.
Perhaps they dont have enough power to keep themselves lit up. When given light they temporarily are full of light.
The are fully lit up in orbit, though likely because they are receiving light from around them in orbit.
I'm this close to getting the forest ult, so I avoid spoilers but are they lit up before you walk up to them ? Do they stay lit when you walk away or completed the trade ?
do they stay here, i kinda wanna take ref pics
I think they stay in Orbit yeah!
I have everything from Isle constellation except for the three pants that the three spirits have for sale because they all cost like 5 hearts and I only have 7 hearts :,) So it’s stuck at 90%
oh.
Is that the first elder you are going to meet in orbit?
Yeah ! I love Teth's aesthetic tbh. Blacksmithing cryptid,,,
I got a friend that recently finished isle and he got a beard.
Question about the final lp quest ||will I still be able to deposit my wl like usual to get my ascended candles?||
yes
You will be able to do eden as normal, but the prince will be there too.
thats from Light Awaits - i believe it was the old friend constellation. but then the constellation was replaced with The Light we have today
random thing i came across as a moth: a user called these things "mother" and ever since then ive had the idea in the back of my head that its supposed to be a little effigy to megabird or lamed
@nimble ingot what makes you say 'what' ?
you mean someone called the shrines mother?
something along those lines. i think they said "mother shrine/statue" or something. it couldve been a mistranslation of "elder shrine" but i like the idea of it being a motherly figure to us
I see. lol, ok.
Just thought about it but the Elders are found in places with a heavy link to them, and their shrine in particular is usually located in a place relevant to their functions (such as a forge or refinery for the forest elder).
What if the shrines were built there to start with by the ancestors as talismans ? Perhaps this explains why the Elders settled in a particular realm each.
...Though, if the Valley Elders were always depicted as twins, this would negate my theory that their fall split their star in two.
iirc the shrines were actually mentioned to not have been around before the whole kingdom went to hjonk in and handbasket. i'd have to double check the canon doc, but im 99% sure they were at least constructed after the elders fell
Huh ? No offense but I doubt something so specific was there tbh. Unless I forgot the contents of the canon doc...
I made my own theory about the Twins and them appearing to have a missing arm each. What if they fought hard to keep their land krill and crab free? So in the process of keeping their land free of crabs and krill, they lost an arm while either dragging the other to safety or perhaps a different event occurred
So.. we all know dismiss cape is known and loved for its fuzziness, but what is it actually made of? Because there are no furry creatures in the realm of sky, and I don’t think they were advanced enough to make synthetic fibers. Could it be down feathers or actual fur from some obscure creature?
fuzzy krill

Care to elaborate ? I'm interested.
the concept art mentioned that capes have a scaly or feathery patter on them while charging.
Maybe they are ruffled feathers, lol.
We do have birds and the spirit does not looks a bit shaggy with the cape.
Yeti spirits sells their body hair to spin yarn from.
So the twins being twins, care for each other and of course are bound to have tiny arguments between one another. They could have been arguing while trying to eradicate the krill off to GW. They began bickering and the bickering got so loud it attracted krill who then saw them both. They were too far from a place to take shelter but tried to still run away. Y(dora) dragging along X(anime hair man) to a nearby rock or under the ice if they could. The krill swooped in for the attack and the twins lost their arms.
Ok ok. Consider this. The arms never fully healed because the power of Elders was already waning. A painful reminder.
To make it even darker, they had to try and cauterize/make them stop bleeding with heat to seal up their wounds.
Can Elders bleed tho, I get the feeling they probably don't even have organs
I imagined everything can bleed, but they bleed stardust. Otherwise the arms could have broken off and look like an opened geode
Oh no. I like both ideas.
Look like a geode while also bleeding stardust?
Nah... I'm not even sure if that kind of fanart would be allowed tho, definitely not meaty enough to warrant to be called gore but cut limbs sound a bit on the edge of what the mods would tolerate.
I just realized my theory may actually not fit whatsoever since the statues outside the flying race next to the citadel are direct examples of what the twins look like just missing the hair and slight detail for clothes
Perhaps they could be past champions !
past champions with masks that were cut in half? I got a theory as to why they only have 1 eye too, based on them arguing, again
Wait what which statues were you talking about–
And
Statues ontop of the flying race building, outside. They have the same tell-tale features as the twins with the one representing Y missing their right arm and only having their left eye visible, and X missing his left arm and right eye.
...I'm gonna go check that out in person, thought you meant the ones in the coliseum lol.
And what was your theory ?

Here they are, these are found on top of the gate to the second race.
Tiny things that would annoy one another of the twins slowly piled up, till one day eventually while practicing playing their games with each other they snapped and went 110% off on each other. The fight got physical and they took out each others eyes/made them unable to be used either by a firm punch, or by them using their paddles as jousting weapons. Angst my beloved
Oh you weren't kidding, these looks a lot like them. Here, have other angles.
but why the human face smh
Gotta check in the starlight memorial if the sizes match.
We should do a lore enthusiast hangout session where we comb through the realms and show eachother cool stuff like this and do theories, it's fun digging around even within the bounds, especially with friends.
frog
Ok cool, anything else to add ?
Those statues have the half manta masks too. Back when the twins old mask was in the shape of a manta. I guess that makes them the third elder to have their old mask on their temple.
Third ? Which ones are the others ?
And tbh these masks don't look too different from our current ones, besides that they cover the whole face.
Its kinda hard to see in those photos, but they got little bumps on the top edge of the masks. Like real mantas antenna things. Prairie and Forest also have concept art masks on them.
of all the elders, valley elders have the simplest, if not straightforward role in the lore. they basically just athletes, possibly paddling each other's head for sport, nothing more, nothing less.
We're just adding the angst in because it makes sense that they have emotion
idek wat angst mean, everytime i see that word, i google it and its synonymous with edgy, and im confused if it means other things
But then they got the whole “was supposed to be one person” theory to spice them up too. I don’t actually have any art with the manta masks, just that the constellation for valley used to be mantas.
New idea: what if they can eat the bits of wæx that we collect during candle runs?
Or are they ? Lots of gates, such as the intro ("Race down the ridge, and the city gates will open to honor you.") and the whole race stuff that has you go through gates with a lot of emphasis on them; the dioscuri (gemini sign, Castor and Pollux) are twin jocks that were often depicted on doors and gates too.
Maybe Valley was the gate... to something else.
The Isle elder brought you into the world, the Twins brought you through and closer to the end, and to the dangerous krill.
Lmao, Sahmek opening up the gates all joyous and playful only for the moth to see a krill waiting for them on the other side jgsdgdjgjdg
but on another note, valley elder is a supposed single entity that split somehow, so theres that to wonder about; why it happened to them etc, as far as i can see, they only have most influence in the colliseum rather than the elders that governs valley itself
"Don't be afraid of Jim, he's harmless!"
thats why i deem their role simple, the details that relate to the elders are mostly if not specifically the race, colliseum or sport
Maybe they were patrons of the iconic race of that realm ? They might struggle to share a braincell but their title of Elder™️ was not unearned either, they're probably that trope of the trickster demigod you never expected to be so powerful.
They could have even invented the races
I mean
Same could be said of the others really, Tsadi could be "just" the tired old soldier bamf, or Teth could be "just" a blacksmith. It all depends on how deep you want to consider what they symbolize. Races, gates and twins got plenty of deep themes too.
rather, their inner workings mostly influences a specific area, compared to the other elders that represent their realms
Valley is also the air realm.......but the only floating buildings are in their part of proph mural and oob.
Airy balance sports twins with sculls as thick as their hair is plenty enough themeing.
I mean, the race does canonically go through the entire city lol (see concept art and the twitter thread about valley).
Same could be said of the forest elder who's not very nature-y either for a forest level.
...airheads.
its mostly isolated even, forest for example have discernible connection to prairie and vault; gw to isle, forest, prairie, valley and vault; and vault to eden and gw.
valley does have gw but i dont really think theres more
The capes actually do have scales on them! When you recharge your light the pattern shows up and descends down your “wings.” This was likely a purposeful choice to mimic the tiny scales that make up the wings of butterflies and moths, which zoomed in really really close look like this:
The name of the order that butterflies and moths make up is called “Lepidoptera,” which is translated from ancient Greek as “scale wing.” So if we wanted to get scientific about it and not just explain it away with “capes are just light magic,” they could be similar.
and i dont think tsadi as an elder acted on the role as governing the realm, his character is of a soldier, but gw's military doesnt show as much as its properity. sure it shows now cus of the aftermath of the war, but i feel like if tsadi did govern gw with its riches, he couldve done more to show his theme
he doesnt show "in" the battlefield either, his cinematic shows him weaking at the gw fortress platform defending vault's gates

You mean geographically or thematically ?
Because thematically, the transition between Forest and Valley left my jaw on the floor ("Somersault" plays while you're in the cloud, and the music amps up as you come out of forest's moody tone into a scenic view of valley, truly felt like emancipation).
On the other hand, you quite litterally plummet into the belly of the whale golden wastes, and there too I think TGC nailed the feeling of disenchantment.
Geographically speaking I agree with you it can seem sudden, but it might be explained because the level is set on a mountain, with the one before choking under rainy clouds and the one after making us plunge into a desert, giving us a taste of what's ahead.
Also: they got magic lifts and flying boats, height probably wasn't a problem.
Fair, but in the Vault cutscene they do seem to be running at something
neither, wat i mean is pieces of other realms in a realm, a show of connection
eg,factory cartridges in prairie, forest and gw
valley is clean, no sign of corruption either, only place ull see pollution is in the labyrinths with the pots
Valley may have been thoroughly cleaned to look attractive to visitors; I feel like Valley is the pretty face covering the misery below in Golden Waste.
Valley is themed around young adults, and although it's becoming less true for us, who can get horrid news everyday and a glimpse of horror with that, it may be on how we are still new and a bit naive to a world we just grew wings in.
In contrast, GW is about midlife with the midlife crisis and growing tired and weary of a world you've seen through. It fits.
gw wasnt a wasteland even before the fall, it wouldnt be called golden otherwise, infact golden valley and golden wasteland is of one city; i believe is seperated by function
gw and valley is canonically one city btw if it was confusing
Ktjn clone reporting for duty!
That's why I divide my reading between history/geography and themes yes. The social area of GW even has Valley architecture !
Speaking of architecture, the inside of the Eden castle too looks like Valley, the sliding part even made me think of the race, with the tunnel (might have cried on my first ever run) !
Now I cannot help but imagine the twins going to the gw elder and saying "dad/big brother, you ok?"
tsadi has the bigger spoon, even have a plate ready
Very late but how about all of it happening?
The power diamond leads to a war--a few needed light so they took that from butterflies (not the door at the moment--the 8p door), mantas and other sources. The war ended in diamonds winning because they genuinely had more energy so in Prairie, the 8p door had to be built on that ("the power diamond should be there on at least one realm"-Diamonds).
Blacksmith and Vault on diamonds, Grandpa and Prairie elder on another. Valley? They didn't meddle yet because they were giving joy to their friends but they did favor power diamonds. As for wasteland--they tried to be very neutral, really, and that's what they did until they were forced to because they didn't choose any side (because they didn't like it), krills were sent to their area--the byproduct of the harmful effects as a way to "dump garbage"--and that was the downfall of gw while the ones on the nature's side was still thankful.
All of that resulted in a calamity of darkness sucking them out which eventually caused their "deaths" of sorts.
Side question to everyone, was there any power diamond in there? I refuse to go there often so
Semi-genuine question:
Is Megabird aware of The Little Prince? Does Megabird support TLP's actions? Because if they did, ||it would explain why wl somehow helps the prince continue despite not being a skykid||
Idk if TLP is canon
Wing light is prolly like.....soul energy. Helps anyone with a soul.
If prince has a soul, does he also collect wl?
It's a collab so idk how to feel about it
But that aside
||How does wl help prince continue?||--spoilers for prince quest
Hes got a soul, but prolly nothing to dedicate extra soul energy to. Since he has no wings or stars. No health/flight meter.
Yeah, but the scarf can apply as a wing, perhaps..?
Though he does fly normally (observed in quests, after hermit valley for instance)
Every time he flies in sky, its actually using a flock of birds, as he does in the book.
Yeah that’s one of the weird things he can just do
Dose this have to do with any lore? (Sorry this is off topic)
That's the theorised megabird, from what I get. For some it's a deity and some it's just...there? Idk
The home shrine thing is said to be made out of this, general return shrines + home shrine
Then he's too light to be a normal human...like a skykid? Definitely not a human, that's for sure
Some more statue pictures from my journeys
So these guard statue fellas are in a lot of areas. I suppose they signal that the areas are close to the king’s domain.m, as if to say “you’re walking close to a scared place. No monkey business”
Do any of the soldier spirits have those helmet things they seem to wear (or is it supposed to be an artistic rendition of their faces idk)
...really whoever had those big weapons scattered throughout battlefield to be as big as these guys
Also, I’ve always wondered what these things do. What are they? Do we ever see them in working condition? They almost look like they would’ve floated like power rocks.
In geyser they have air in, which bursts out. Probably helps in flying?
Oh!! I forgot about that!!
But there are a couple in the forest elder’s temple that are on the diases in orderly fashion. They had some purpose before us skids.
Yep, I saw! Perhaps to tell time? Depending on how the candle light hits
(Unlikely on the hindsight)
((But also probably--maybe based off candle lights. Like when you light up at 12 AM, and say one lasts for 6 hrs and one set goes off, another is replaced and so forth))
(((But it probably doesn't have the same day and night system so)))
One wonders why they had to be gold. For decorative purposes (like, being a sacred item, it’s covered in gold)? Or for its function (similar to gold plating in astronaut gear)?
Oh! That’s a good theory!
I assume the forest elder’s place, based on concept art and game hints, was an area of power rock production. So maybe the gold diamonds kept time for the work.
frog
frog
Perhaps, thank you!
Also, astronaut gear?
Also, powder rock?
Perhaps air was supplied to crush them down/melt them (rocks) and make plating easier? I don't know I'm probably bluffing
Would this be one of the few theories that can classified as confirmed?
I suppose so! Though one could also say that the design was merely a reference to a butterfly’s wings they added as a cool effect. Whichever someone likes more!

Are there actual lyrics to the songs with vocals in Isle of Dawn and Orbit?
« The meaning of my own language is that I can sing words that feels right for the heart, while people get the chance to listen to music without any lyrics. I have Made a language based on emotion. The words alone means nothing. But with the energy you put into them they change » — AURORA, vocals for the Isle of Dawn and Eden OST

Doesn't forest elder make a power stone to fit into one on the ceiling in their cutscene ? Maybe they are adaptators and fit power diamonds on larger structure. They also show up in the GW shipwreck so maybe they store black water, who looks like petrol or fuel.
fwog
hmm... Perhaps, the elders seem to be able to move or add objects in the temple even while they are not physically present. (see the daylight elder adding a vase on his shrine)
I'll check the temple before and after the cut scene if anything changes besides the mechanism activating.
Sorry for missing you picture, @dry ivy
I think those are the butterfly jars from daylight prairie.
You see the laughing ancestor gather light and the waving ancestor seeing them taken to the temple. There are a bunch of them in sanctuary island where I think some butterflies can be seen nearby though the abandoned jars have become rotten with dark plants. There is also a another load of them in the shipwreck region that supposedly would have been taken to the factory/refinery.
The one you found in the forest temple might have been used to charge power diamonds by transferring light into the them.
At least in theory.
Hey my skyfellas. I just pitched my first Season idea and it’s about the past. So maybe you go check it out and message me on what you think about it. ;)♥️✨🌈
Here is my sky IG: skykid_outfittery
The mechanism above before the cutscene has a hole where the diamond goes after it yeah. I could take screenshots during my candle run.
Rotten jars in Prairie caves...
Does anyone know/have any theories about why the || B612 asteroids in the special area are actually marked as B61- in game? ||
Probably something wrong with the display text in the code, I don't think there's anything deeper to that. The Dreams of a Little Friend area is not a spoiler btw
Ah ok thank you
I thought it was since previous areas where you need a IAP cape to get in are spoilered
A fellow QnH helper has asked the mods and have clarified that it's not since it's a time limited-purchase area and not something you can find exploring in the game
I think its because theres several of them, so they dont want to mark any one of them as the actual 612. So everyone can pick which one they like best and believe to be 612. I for one have decided its one of the ones w the sunset

Also im still trying to break into the lore but im really struggling ^.^' ive been trying to read the theory doc but a lot of it feels like theres some kind of basic knowledge im supposed to have that im missing.
hey kid, have you read the canon lore doc?
Yes. I think its a me problem not a problem witz anything you folks provided lmao. I just dont know how to proceed
Oh okay, uhhhhh maybe look at some concept arts? It has some info ig ._.
I can dm u some concept arts if ya want
That would be nice!
I dont know if this fits into the lore channel or not, but I was doing a winged light run in Forest earlier and had a realization; in the underground tavern, theres a ton of butterflies trapped in pots that you can free as you go along to help you fly or recharge, but all of a sudden I started thinking about how long those poor guys couldve been trapped in there for??? I dont know what y'all have discussed as far as time gaps between when all the spirits died and when the skykids arrived, but just thinking of how long those little guys mightve been stuck in those pots makes me feel
Tom Zhao website was the foundation for me
Oh?
There's a timeline that's kinda close to the real lore, and then lots of concept art that woke me up to what the game is trying to convey
Cool! I'll check it out
Also do we know anything about skykid... names... im trying to make ocs
I don't think there is
there are no names, so you can just go crazy with it.
Nice. Im splitting my oc into my chibi and lanky vers as diff people. Small ones gonna be L.L., pronounced Elel and the tall ones gonna be a double barreled name where both parts start w L but im struggling w choosing

could the sky world just have lower gravity? don't need to worry about human or not human if everyone weighs less
We know that Lp isn’t a SkyKid, but he is from a different planet so maybe
Ooooooo, cool. That could make sense because a lot of mantas and jellyfish are much bigger than on earth and not in water
the one thing that messes with the lowered gravity idea is that jump height isn't too diff from earth jump heights and if the skids definitely weighed less due to gravity then they would be able to jump higher hmmm
Maybe something else is stopping them?
Like air resistance
hmmm viscous sky air
Is there a kind of language in sky?
It could be that sky kids are made of stars and so are heavier by default
before meditating at the forest temple, look up, after meditating look up again. first, there should be a large empty space. afterwards, a gold thing like that is there with a diamond in it. I think they could be like adaptors or outlets, maybe guiding the energy that comes out of the diamonds in a certain way. basically, the raw energy coming out of the diamonds may need to be channeled for the spirits/elders to be able to use it, this gold thing could be what channels the energy
also an unburnable plant bulb in sanctuary (on the roof of the cave with jellies and the jellyfish mural)
Ok heres a funny question, why the rain in the Hidden Forest harms you?
Its not like water harm you, but the rain does
w h y r a i n h u r t
I assume that it’s like the phenomena of acid rain; it’s polluted, likely due to the large amount of darkness plants that grow there. The water in the streams, however, is not as polluted as the dark water in the Golden Wasteland. Maybe because it’s flowing more? Since the Golden Wasteland seems to be a desert like environment it makes sense that it doesn’t rain there, but if it did it would probably be the same as the Forest rain.
Or it's the speed at which the water hits you. . . Just a thought
The water just really hurts because of how fast it is
so why doesn't the waterfall in sanc hurt?
Can anyone tell me what the ultimate gift is for the little prince? I just have sword pants left to get and I was wondering if the ultimate gift is worth getting it
rose music box accessory
They're still here, huh.
Also, does anyone know why is there a... Swallow memorial ???
Is it the same deal as the Turtle, Eel and Sparrow constellations drawn in Prairie ?
Some of you play using only land portals —no Home button, ね
I used to think that the bird was an actual dead body of one, somehow on display like a kind of sad funerary rite. I then realized later that it actually seems to be made out of snow, plus the fact it doesn’t actually look like any of the other birds. I kind of like my first interpretation, it gave a melancholy tone to the opening entrance. I assume it’s just there for set dressing.
Sometimes things die sleep that way. Spend more time in Nature and you see it often. @rigid mural
I believe the bird was part of a quest in light awaits, it's not dead, just asleep
Was Light Awaits the name of the first version of the game?
it was the beta from before the game launched for real
Ohh, cool! It might be left as a reference then. Either way I think it looks cool, but the pose def made me think it had been laid out like that after death
also, check the pins here for an imgur album about the beta. that's where I learned about the bird c:
Where are those constellations?
The Valley, the area before the flying race
Prairie, respectively Bird's Nest (sparrow), Village (turtle), and the Cave (eel).
And the swallow is at the entrance of the Citadel in Valley, yes !
Oooh nice
My heart goes out to tutorial bird. My beloved tutorial bird.
?
Woah
DALETH ???
Light Awaits my beloved,,,
Maybe not quite
In a later version they changed it to three spirits instead of this one glowkid. But I like the glowkid one better.
Bruh.
Man Light Awaits seems so interesting
What do you all want now
SO I AM NOT THE ONLY OWN. Originally I was a bit creeped out thinking it looked like a sacrificed bird. I know Sky ain’t that kind of game, but that’s what first popped into my head before I saw it was made of snow
Sammeee
The texture is the same texture for snow so I assumed it’s made out of snow
Oh sweet someone else is curious about those constellations. What are they supposed to look like?
I’m stupid. Vela already said what they are. Kids, this is why we have those stupid exercises in class where you have to read a page with an activity but then if you read it carefully you realize it says you don’t have to do the activity at all cuz you read slowly

Why does your winged light revive TLP? We're sure they're not a skykid, but are they light-affiliated? What is the Prince made of? Do they have a soul? Was Megabird aware of their existence all along?
kinetic energy,maybe?
Or maybe it’s bad magic
I was looking through the lore doc, and I saw something about the graves on the walls of the room that you are in right before you race in valley, and how they are decorated memorials. I wonder if these connect to the || 8 player puzzle || decorated graves in any way? There isn't much info on that
Riiiight... the Valley pre-race hall does have those graves... off-topic to your question but I think they'd be buried ashes just because of the size of the wall lol
Just found this in concept arts
So the graveyard was really a grave for light creatures
Lots of ‘unnatural death’ in a certain place…
So this is kinda saying that the king’s army fought the light creatures
And many died in war(in wasteland apparently)
So only natural death can get you to reborn
But then, why is there a corpse in hidden forest? Why did a light creature die there?
Maybe the dark stone in forest took its energy untill it killed it
But seeing there is a building around it, maybe the old sky world villagers used dark stone on light creatures to get light from them, so that’s why there were a fight
So after the kingdom fell, maybe some dark stuff leaked out of forest’s mine and polluted the place for the acid rain and dark plants?
Or perhaps it was already polluted before. A stone to take light from things doesn’t really sound decent
Ohh what really? U mean the ones with those Shinto-looking ropes on them?
Possibly, but I'm going off of books as well because he didn't leave his body behind? He didn't exactly seem human, coming from a different planet. Obviously he's not a skykid but he isn't a human as well...at least not "human".
Yep, which is what I'm going for. Then what is he? A being?
No clue what that is 😅, but it's the ones with the gold chain with little rectangles draped across the grave all fancy like
Haha sorry. I just spat out what’s rust came to mind. I’ve watched enough anime to be familiar with this thing. It’s either this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yorishiro or this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shimenawa
Really I think of Totoro every time I see it though: notice the rope
I theorized them to be light creatures turned krill/something dangerous to the creatures because why would they fight the thing that gives them light?
Actually speaking of which...now that I think of it, it could PERHAPS be because they wanted to make sure that the light creatures don't undergo torture of being light extracted from them, and gw risked everything and fought the light creatures even if they'd receive a lot of backlash from everyone...maybe.
But why would their face still stand in the eden entry then, instead of Isle Elder?
...strange.
If they are monuments, it’d make sense that maybe those ropes were based off of those religious ropes. It’s a sign of something being sacred.
Hmmmm
Looking at Japanese graves, their aesthetic makes me think do the monuments and graves in Journey and Sky
There was a concept art timeline that there was a war between the light creatures and the spirts because of dark stone taking thier light
I cant save it tho you can ask somebody to send it hehheheheheh
Did you mean a Comprehension test?
Did we ever figure out who's the dead body in crab call's memory ? Looks like saluting captain to me; maybe the spirits in that area are here because of a shipwreck...
not sure, will get a screenshot of the crime scene.
Oh I already did ! I can send it when I get to my switch.

Can someone explain to me about this game lore..ALL OF IT...i'm interested
We don't have such other than bits and pieces of canon hints from devs since the lore of Sky is intentionally left vague for the player base to interpret but the pins of this channel is an amazing place to start
This link too:
Lore Moff doc
https://docs.google.com/document/d/18B1-SKG3toG0oH0VhOWC5o-cG9u0STAN92QvmbhTDto/edit
goodness, that would be a lot to talk about.
First off, the game does seem to have lore, though there is very little of it that is considered canon, while the rest is open to interpretation.
While this makes it fun to make your own story based on the events in sky, it is a bit tricky working out what would be the basis of the game, and what parts are blanks for player to fill in.
Here is a very summarised history of sky. (I might have a few details wrong, so take care to read around for what other users say and theorise).
Sky is a world that used to be a united kingdom where the elders, the megabird (the deity of sky, giver of light and life), and the king (the 7th elder that is not present in the game, thought referenced) and the ancestors (the spirits).
When the stars fell, the world began to fall into darkness that corrupted the light creatures (namely the krill) and broke the world apart.
The spirits we see are possibly ancestors that passed away though bound to relive a memory of their lives. Sky kids have been sent to the world to help the spirits, gather light, return the light to the fallen in eden and then be reborn to keep doing it.
The game tends to focus on altruism, so it focuses on developing bonds with the spirits and more so with fellow skykids as freinds.
It's also important to note the elders are the fallen stars making a home in the clouds in the intro, so you're waking up truly ancient beings with that light delivery at the end of each level lol.
Hi @rigid mural
Just to make sure, were you able to see the head of the body from the crab whisperer's memory?
I had trouble poking at the ground, so could not get a good shot of him, but one thing I notices is he does not have any hair styles on him.
So, it might not be the saluting captain, though still quite possibly one of his crew members.
since the body is so high up and far from the ship, I am not sure if the crab whisper found him there, or dragged him up there.
Unless the specific image moved, the sailor might have been trying to make his way out of the shipwreck area, though either collapsed or got hit by crabs.
That's dark
yup. Some parts of the game has scenes that suggest a dark tone.
Tearful light miner's story is so sad
Oh yeah, the spirit where their coworkers starved to death but they didn’t?
Crab whisperer, @nimble ingot
If they dragged a body up there from the ship, they must be JACKED. Perhaps they can't do splits not because of the dress, but because of the sheer muscle mass
Tearful light miner, @sharp lichen
Their comrades almost all died in a cave-in, and the last survivor besides them seems to have died from injuries, judging from the dark plant growing from the memory itself. You can see them building little graves before weeping too :(
I wish we could hug regular spirits too...
Also, among the morbid spirits, there's also the Fainting warrior who like... probably died. Your skykid is likely oblivious to that and assumed they were playing dead. Afterwards, the spirit seems to go with that, probably not to traumatize the skykid with the truth :(
Thank you!
about the crab spirit.
lol true. I was speculating, though you may be right about the spirit might not be able to drag a body up the pipes.
And skykids seeing the fainting spirit.
Skykids might not be oblivious, though naive.
They can tell if things are sad or serious. Though the skykid themselves might not have know the reason why exactly.
Ex. the light miner is very sad because her friends are gone. But the skykid could have missed the mounring bit because they know they can be reborn, and the spirit is saved (as in they get to go to orbit).
Wym Crab whisperer may not be able to drag a body up some pipes, that's canon now. Beefy queen.
Now I am confused.
I thought you were sarcastic with the crab whisperer being jacked to drag a body.
And the memory shows the body only when the spirit reached the top.
I may have to include a section for spirits/ancestors in my notes now, given they have their own clues.
Oh I was joking mostly, but the thought of CW dragging a body up the pipes is so hilarious and incredible I want it to be canon.
I think the head was clipping in the ground...
Hey who’s this alef guy my friend mentioned it apparently it’s a lore detail
King
It was, though I did manage to dig down a bit (chibi style), and saw the head (looking up) does not have hair.
I can try again another time to see what the face is, though will do so later.
His body is weirdly arched back. So it is possible the devs intentionally let the head sink in instead of mistakenly letting the body clip though the ground.
Axe 👀
ah, on of the few items shown in memories that do not appear on the spirit or obtainable to skykids.
Another example, the bow from distraught hunter spirit.
Good eyes, @true grove 🙂
It wasn't there before they updated the memories recently tho the floating book is still there

Floating book?
I think they are refering to a book an unknown spirit drops when scolding the lumberjack spirit.
Supposedly whatever the tree crushed made that spirit upset and dropped his book.
The lumberjack in the mean time is profusely apologising by bowing down to the other spirit.
Anyone notices how our candles seems to gray out fast or is it just me
Interesting thing, I flew up during the lumberjack memory to see what the tree looked like, and it was just flat on top. No branches 😔
Hello can anyone explain to me what the mega bird is ?
Unfortunately, The trees do look a bit bare. Most of them are tall stumps, with the exception of the days of nature tree and the crystal tree of the polite spirit on the second floor in Vault.
For instance, Sky trees look a lot different than the trees in Flower (a different game by TGC)
Megabird is the large deity of Sky.
Giver of flame, life trives in its light.
You can see the megabird when you look up in Orbit, and in the water mural around the portal to the office.
There is also a carving of the megabird in one of the portals, I cant recall which one (maybe the one from the 8 player puzzle to daylight Prarie's Village, or even the portal arches in either Daylight Prairie, or Forest).
@nimble ingot @hushed steeple thank you so much for the explanation

Looking at those mark on chairs made of stone... elders are sure super heavy
And there are only 6 chairs, do the Valley twins piggyback while sitting? Or Isle elder not joining them at all?
Isle elder could be more secluded and not want to join in when talking/meeting up with the others. If all of them do gather there the twins probably fight over who sits and who stands or share the stool, which would explain why one is tipped over.
Ayo I always had a hunch that spirits couldn't fly
That's why they need us, cuz we can fly and they can't
I thought maybe the one tipped over could signify an elder losing the others respect, or maybe being expelled.
Probably the Isle Elder, his face is the only one not on the Eden Door
It is interesting to me that the Isle Elder is the only one who has physical damage to his body, like he was attacked in some way
Maybe a disagreement where one of the other elders whacked him?
At the top of Vault only the Wasteland Elder's shrine is damaged (it has cracks in it) which is also interesting
Maybe he was used by the someone, maybe the King?
I think that stayed after in the beta (back when the game was called light awaits), where the old cut scene took place outside the temple (where the diamond pedestal is). After the cut scene, the elder shrine would break.
Since the change, it no longer does that, but still has the crack.
Ohhh thx for that
Also
Am I the only one that noticed two different types of shields in the battlefield area, a sun and diamond, and there's a sun shield where the first wl in Eden is
You are correct.
There are theories about those.
One go to, is called the two-shield theory.
The premise is there is an army of diamond shields and blades that look similar to the paddles the valley elders use. And a sun/star shield with spears army the the waste land elder uses.
Based on where and the direction they lay, the theory goes on to discuss how the round shield (sun/star) and spears were fighting the diamonds and blades army.
Another variant of the theory suggests they were either giants, golems, or large ancestors.
You can find a smaller blade near the catapult in graveyard, that is next to a ancestor statue kneeling in front of a candle. And another set of both armies's weapons (the baldes, round shield and spear), at the entrance of the first temple in Eden (where you find the first winged light).
It is unclear which side won, or who the soldiers were.
Additionally to the war theory, the old lore suggested that the waste land used to fight corrupted creatures.
Besides the krill, the creatures of the skeletal remains could also have been targeted. since the graveyard and shipwreck area is near the battlefield area, it might be possible for the giant turrets on the towers on the temple, that the turrets might have struck them down.
Could it maybe be from a disagreement with the King? We know they he was found in Isle of Dawn so it would stand that Isle elder had a large impact on the king growing up
Wow thx
What I'm thinking is that the king was on the side of the sun shields, as there is a sun shield in Eden, and he used the wasteland elder
The wasteland elder also has a sun shield, and appears weak in the cutscene, maybe he was betrayed by the king, who used him and his army to fulfill his wishes, and the wasteland elder never realised this until it was too late
Y'all are feeding me right now!
Possibly, what I find hard to decide is how the symbols line up.
The diamond is seen throughout the realms, which are associated with the dark stone technology the king and the elders relied on, and were corrupted by.
The diamond symbol is also associated with the king, though in the few murals of the king, we also see a halo/star light effect for his head, which is his symbol in murals (similar to the dawn elder has his staff and boat mask, daylight elder with his vase, forest with her, wasteland elder with is spear and shield or vault and her head dress).
So, as far as I know and until shown otherwise, I am not sure which side the king would be really on.
If he ruled over the elders, then the sun would be his army. But if he was using diamonds, then it is the other army.
I would recommend other theorists to give their 10 cents on this.
more like filling you in on what there was found so far, lol. 🙂
True lol
Wasteland would be such a cool map to explore, but Krills exist
Actually, now that I'm thinking about - how did they discover the dark crystals? I don't think I've seen that discussed anywhere I have searched?
They probably mined it, then accidentally found it's unique ability
So far I know, neither the old or the current lore (if any) has explained that in detail.
I recall a dev mentioning that both light and darkness was natural in the world, and the in game introduction mentioned the world was in harmony (balanced).
In the old lore, the prince/king found the dark stone in the forest, and was warned not use its powers. The dark stone is able to take instead of giving light. As the elders used more and more dark stone to become more powerful, the darkness started to take hold in light creatures, corrupting them.
When the stars fell, the ancestors suffered and perished and the elders were not able to make right what they caused.
The current lore has less information on it, that I know of (please know other users here may have more knowledge on this)/
The dark stone/power diamonds tend to shift between 4 colours, based on personal observation:
Black for inactive (when a diamond has no power/light/flame), blue for charged, yellow for activated (as seen whenever a skykid interacts with them, they shift from blue to red when a mechanism is activated), and then red which is their corrupted state.
I may be wrong on these details, so take this as one person's opinion and recollection of what has been discussed on the channel before (though still open for more theories).
May I offer you this: the prince and king may be separate
I am considering it, thanks
Also I noticed all elders statues in Vault but Valley and Forest got diamonds on their forehead, which is especially wierd on the latter's case since they do have a diamond on their forehead when we see their model in cutscenes (it's below the head piece though so you might want to look at them from below in orbit).
Perhaps it's an interesting detail to note when discussing diamond symbolism ?
frog
frog!
Yup, Also do not forget that every elder shrine has a diamond shaped hole.
For me, that enforces the idea how the elders used to rely on the power diamonds (dark stone) so much, that without them, they feel empty.
Which is similar to them being lost without a king. As seen in the all elder scene showing a mural of the king, though the king is not physically there. Since Eden is the only realm with no obvious elder present, one that is seen in that mural. I think that supports the idea that the kind used to be the elder the eden, the one that the other elders looked up to (literally and metaphorically).
One last tid-bit I will toss up for the newer users here, is how at the end of a realm, we usually meet an elder in a space beyond the realm. In Eden, we meet a light version of ourselves that helps us instead of us helping them. Now, this might be the lost prince of Sky.
Why so? Because the old lore mentioned the King and Prince separately ( I needed more proof to make that statement, and found it 🙂 ).
Please take note that I do not intend to disprove, steal, modify, or be bias towards other user's theories. I intend on gathering facts and craft an objective interpretation of the lore. One that will likely have blank spaces and holes. Though that would be due to either a lack of evidence to fill them in, or the Sky lore being open to interpretation.
🪶 Once I have a solid document on information typed up, I'd happily share it 🙂
meh could be, could be not. imo it doesnt have that much deeper idea into it, the vault's elder statues are basically roblox models of them; it was made to be simple and made as is rather than hold hint of info. and the valley statue do have a diamond but not on the forehead
Here is concept art I am not able to find in Tom Zhao's gallery, though does seem to fit in. This was found on a Tumblr.
Here is the link (I know the link is wonky, It is cached in Google):
https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:WtC7qI1b584J:https://smort-n-toit-boi.tumblr.com/+&cd=41&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=za
nvm i checked, all of them do have a diamond on their chest, but the diamond on the forehead not present for forest may be due to her actual model's mask not fitting for her roblox model
rather, forest's mask is artificial and is covering the diamond on her forehead
I suppose that, besides the symbolism you mention here, the holes could be used by placing a power diamond inside them.
While the valley statue(s) doesn't have forehead diamonds, it might be a stylistic choice since the elders aren't depicted facing the observer.
This leaves the forest statue, and I still wonder if the absence of diamond is just an error or if it means anything. Because it can't be the headpiece hiding it since Vault elder has a similar one and their statue still depicts them with a forehead diamond...
Btw, basic mask's "third eye" could be an imitation of that forehead diamond...
well to be fair, vault and forest are also the only ones with a spiked shaped face on their statues- vault having a diamond shape face. maybe the superior spiky head doesnt get to have their forehead chipped to get the diamond of shame. other than that i dont see any significant thing about it. all of them have a statue, forest doesnt have a diamond on hers but the rest does: wat are the questions thatll show its relevance
does it mean she regrets being affiliated with the elders as to hide her fore-eyes? is she a rebellious eon-old deity thats having an identity crisis cus of the diamond on her forehead and shes being picked on by the other elders cus shes shorter compared them? or the sculptor of the statues was drunk or was underpayed by teth
Lmao
or maybe shes the reason valley twins split, she bonked them so hard their reality shattered and birthed 2 entities cus they yoinked her diamond
would explain why theyre known as being dum too so i filled that in aswell
and their statue's face have a flat head with sharp side edges, implies blunt force on the head if u ask me
Yeah I believe they were split by something, and together make up one whole elder. Whatever the elders even are.
theyre us but different, we are a subspecies of them
It's perhaps always just me but I end up seeing stonekids, rock rain stone kids and that is it..? No elders there as such?
Where are they even located?
Oh ya, so like as you can see in Blue Eden: Elders are getting fling’d around the diamond
now when u meet them in their temples, they just ascend, thats the beam of light that shows in some elder cinematic
Yes but I have a hard time seeing the elder at all. Tried so during prince quest, didn't catch em
I specifically meant Eden elder hh, "he who cannot be saved" apparently
well ye, he isnt anywhere in eden, he ded but hes always been with u ever since u started
You can't see him in any way? Or something? Even as a shrine/rock of any sorts?
the shiny boi u collect as wing lights are lesser known as "Imprints of the Children of the Light", the theory more on referring to the king and the shiny bois being his imprints. the high and mighty gw king statues
u can see them littered around gw, particularly starting from graveyard to battlefield
I see, imprints
I haven't seen them, should do so, just shielding away from krills during those times
its the only living presence of him in the game, other than the vault cinematic mural i guess
these statues
the one below the fortress and the ones on top are king statues, very majestic arent they?
Oh! They do look very majestic, yes. Thank you :D
KINGKINGKINGKINGKINGKING Don't mind me it's just a mental breakdown!
Ok, after days of tiring school, I finally thought of a theory
So you all know the diamond in Eden right? Notice all the statues, whenever you go there, the number of statues that you can give stars to, never changes, sure this might be a mechanic, but if I look it at a theorist angle, I can say
Thst the diamond in Eden takes the souls of those who are free of corruption, the reason why we give stars to the statues is because the souls of the statues are corrupted children, if we give winged light, they will be free from it, like that one cutscene, but what happens to the souls in the diamond? Honestly I haven't thought about that ill think about it soon or tommorow
@bitter shale they juiced mantas into the power diamonds
Anybody understand what happened here?
the forest elder does have a diamond on her mask. It is the diamond head piece.
If anything, the valley elders do seem to lack diamonds on thier foreheads.
Or a patter lighting up on their bodies like the other elders.
Even as atheletes, I think it is odd those two did not have a pattern on their clothig that lights up like the other elders.
The lumberjack chopped down a tree; and supposedly the tree either fell in the wrong direction, it fell on something or the tree was not supposed to be chopped down in the first place.
Either way, the lumberjack is profusely apologising while the unknown spirit drops his book.
Ohh okay, I thought maybe the tree might’ve almost hit the stranger… thanks Raider!!
Yeah, on the model. But the statue in their shrine and atop the vault may have a diamond-shaped head, it still doesn't have one engraved on the forehead.
Apparently the twins were meant to have simple designs because these are pretty much their sport clothes including their simple masks; perhaps they have fancier ones lol.
They do gain a diamond on their chest when lighting up tho !
hello
I stand corrected.
The darn twins do have diamonds.
Very faint ones on their backs of all places!
They are are also noticably smaller than the other elders, almost as big as a normal ancestor (spirit).
I think they got diamonds on their front too ? Are you in the starlight memorial ? If you go there after the cutscene, they should be glowing and on the ground
I got there both before and after.
And yes, I see now wht it is called starlight memorial :o
I had trouble seeing anything on the front of them, though looks pretty minimalistic to me.
Perhaps the diamonds are more clear in orbit?
I dont have them in orbit yet, though hope to see it one day.
I wonder if the twins were perhaps the newest or youngest elders, so they have not yet grown into their position yet. Or they were the ones with the least exposure to the darkstone.

Was the valley elders combined in the past?
yes, it was once 1 entity
my personal theory for this is that the headpieces n stuff represent the status, and the purpose of the realm. The lighting up signifies that the realms are reliant on light, meaning Valley does not require extra light.
Now look at the constellation, and the baseball bats that the Elders have in Valley. Also observe the cutscene. From this, I believe the purpose of Valley was/is to capture light and beam it elsewhere (possibly using the revolving gold rings as gold seems to symbolise capturing light, like in Prairie.) The mountaintop placement would be ideal as they can capture more light from Megabird/Orbit if they are higher up in the world, thus the abundance of light and the lack of necessity to be lit by a sky kid, they already have more than enough light.
The Valley Elders no longer have much of a purpose as the entire Valley of Triumph can sit back and watch as their revolving golden structures earn them even more wealth, thus the lack of a mask. The last bit of symbolism to their old purpose is the glowing white baseball bats. This is why I think they no longer have masks.
In some concept art there was one elder.
Though the twins cames soon thereafter as it seems.
Some theorise they were once one elder that was split, and others say they were made at the same time (I am not sure anymore which js more likely).
true, i dont really remember where i saw them split but i think it was in the first cinematic
Another theory is that there was originally one elder in Valley with a headpiece that had halo-like rings, but then when Valley grew rich and it became a place to watch competitions the Elder split into two to reflect this.
Intro represents them as one star, yes.
Either that or there was one elder, and then a citizen fought their way up in the meritocracy and became the other elder in Valley. It could be the person in Season of Dreams?
They rule over the relams together.
They remind me a bit of the hunger games as they are so competitive and evenly matched, they are like two victors instead of just one.
Citadel means a fortress that commands a city btw
or if u know Citadel as Orrery, thats wat im talking about, i call it Citadel cus thats wat the quest calls it
I think their synchronization is meant to be surnatural; even the twin missing the light for the other to send it to the player & get it back seems staged.
I'd say they are at least true twins that came from the same place, be it one or two superimposed stars that fell.
(I really like the split star theory, can someone ask if the Valley twins came from the same place next stream ?)
write it somewherw for 3rd anniversary next year
Mm id like to interject and say that stars can look like one star but actually be more than one
Hence the superimposed stars mention.
tbh i didnt read that much i was just looking at the most recent messages
If they fell together, this could be another way they both lost 1 arm
technically all elders are not one star, they consist of several ones, hence their constellations
The constellations are of other spirits though, not just the elder, id assume all the spirits fell in a similar way since they all are in the constellations
spirits are stars too although they only have one
Where did you get that ? They could be one stars, the devs didn't say anything about that besides that they are fallen stars, could be multiple stars each, could be one star each.
Since the only furry being in the sky is the yeti and there is only one left
We have come to the conclusion with friends that the elders are hiding their ||mUrd3r||from us to make the cosmetics in fur 👁️👄👁️
Thats why there is only one of them being show
vault cinematic murals, its true that it may represent spirits rather than them itself, but i see the constellations as theirs rather than wat shows, and the spirits currently we know of ingame arent the only spirits to live by the elders
devs didnt mention any of that, its my own theory from my own observation. plus its easier to look at our own skids, we can hold multiple "stars" and "befriend" stars and those "stars" gives us their wing buff as "star". and if the king could split into multiple imprints of "stars", wat proves the other elders couldnt when they die aswell? valley elder already split into two, maybe u can split them more

Do you believe that the “darkstone” above the hat did work as a compass to guide spirits in the Holy Land?
thats the first time i heard of that but seeing an enchant ult after so long is very epic
Whatever, senior citizen

Hey so, uh hi I mainly lurk here so most of you might not know me. I’m Sbeelz! Anyway I’ve been having some thoughts I wanna share. So the Isle Elder is the first one to guide us towards Eden, and I’ve long felt like the birds in the cutscene flying into the sky as he points there with his staff represent us Skykids. He and the other Elders have to know what they’re guiding us towards. I think that’s why the Vault Elder looks so broken and sad- they are closest to and have the most intimate knowledge of the Eye of Eden’s terrifying power yet they must send all these kids there ||to die. Are they sacrificing us to Moloch? || What is going on here?
||(I’m using Moloch here as a general name for any god requiring child sacrifice)||
Welcome, @pure plaza
Following along the story, us skykids arrive in the world with no knowledge of the past, present, or future. We just exist with one purpose, which the elder are willing to help us along with. We exploer each realm in search for spirits to save and bring to the temple, winged light to allow us to fly further and higher, help the elders with giving them flame (the candle light in each scene that lights them up) and then go to the top of Eden, to sacrifice our lives by giving the light to the fallen (the statue kids in the point of no return).
Even though we meet every elder of each realm, there is an indication that there is one missing, as seen in the all elder cut scene and how Eden is the only realm without an identifiable elder. The reason I am saying that is we do meet a light version of ourselves in the void after Eden. Though who that is up for debate. 🪶
Each elder seems to have something wrong, such as:
Isle elder's mask is broken/shattered, day was tired out, forest struggled to use her talents to forge (her hands were sore?), valley does not seem to have an obvious issue (possibly had no purpose or did not know what to do?), Wasteland elder was weakened and Vault might have been secluded from the other elders and needed them to be united (again, not sure what her problem may be other than the dark mark on her mask).
The big picture is not clearly spelt out in the game, which makes it open to interpretation.
If one were to find out what the base plot is (even with its blanks), there does seem to be clues strewn throughout the game. Both metaphorically and literally, as far as I know it.
Either way, hope you enjoy mini lore theory. 🙂
Hey fun fact, in Light Awaits, the Isle Elder is the one giving you a cape !
Btw guess who bought the Little Prince book because of this chat.....
I do wonder what happened to sky
Thank you! I actually do really love the story arc bending towards self-sacrifice to return fallen stars to the heavens, but a more dark take on the story was bouncing around inside my skull when I woke up this morning and I thought I’d share. Like thinking about how the little prince’s story fits into Sky’s I was kinda like oh wait Sky is a game about children dying. @rigid mural I plan on buying TLP as well!
You should’ve asked me to give you the pdf file of The Little Prince
I also think that Eden is Still alive in that small castle in the orbit
Yes, me too. That image gives me the chills every time.
I prefer physical copies, no offense. I mostly read when I'm out camping, so I can't really access 4g, let alone stable internet lol
He may have creatived us and the 1th travelers who are the wing light
Ohhhh okay
Below the constellation but obscured by the elders, you can see people that seem to worship that figure :0
Ceremony ?
That may be true
True.
Pdf are nice.
Though books dont need batteries.
Hope you find the book interesting.
I actually read it as a kid lol, my little brother even played him in first grade 😂
About books I read the little prince
I thought those were dead people, they were bowing like the corpses of the spirits
Huh ? Corpses ?
Yea
Where ?
In the eden mural from the all elders cut scene?
oof, that calls for a clear shot of it to be sure.
Why not, lets do it.
So you think the people in that mural is dead, @thick plaza ?
I can see it being possible, do you want to ellaborate in it, please? 🙏
I saw someone on tumblr have the king accepting sentient sacrifices (to not say human) so......
I have a screenshot where you see there's definitely something below, but I unfortunately can't find a full pic online, bummer
Perhaps, but it would seem to me that in the iconography of Sky’s murals, a dead person is represented by a figure lying on its side, such as in the murals in the Cave of Prophecy
In those same murals, there are also bowing figures which are clearly in a ceremonial context. It would make sense for there to be worshipers in the Eden mural in Vault. Vault leads up to Eden, and it is covered and full of the four pointed star that we see throughout the game, which seems to be a religious icon. Vault is also the closest realm to the epicenter of the kingom’s destruction. The way I perceive it is that the King obtained a power beyond his control (represented by the circle in his hands) that made him an object of worship, like a living God, but which ultimately led to his and his Kingdom’s destruction
I like how he makes a :0 face while holding that power orb.
Oh yh like in prophecy cave murals
Yep!
More interestingly though, wasn't there something about the elders cursing the crown of the king before sealing him in Eden ? It was supported by the presence of the masks of the elders on the Eden gate.
Maybe, and the Isle Elder was the only one that believed he could change, or disagreed with the other Elders
That's why his face isn't on the Eden Door
Also that door seems to be an imitation of the door in Eden, after u die and go past the statues there's a much bigger version of the door
I haven't got a pic and I can't be asked getting one now

I feel bad for the big crabs over the fire in graveyard (likely dead, also no dust on them) and the small one that spawns nearby that's forced to witness it. And I am very suspicious of pleaful parent as in their cutscene they try to get a (seemingly) largish crab and their statue is by the fire pit.
Could the wide mouth be trying to show the King actively Consuming that unnamed power?
Or just screaming. That's what mad nobles often do.
Your mask........ hand it over...........
Catch me if you can ;)
Yes but there's another one after u die, in the paradise-like part of Eden
Oh, that one.
hmmm...
What would the cost be?
Is that the rebirth door you mean ?
The one you pass through on your way to orbit.
Not the rebirth portal in orbit.
???
After you die in Eden, you hug the white kid, go up a ray into a castle then ascend through it to space and into the white sphere to Orbit.
No portal until you cross the rebirth threshold afaik... unless you mean something in the castle ?
I'm going on an Eden run every Sunday so just lmk where to look and I will try to get you a screen then !
Thx
After the rebirth, there's an area with pillars and statues, with clouds sprawling, all over the place
Just beyond that, before the snow, there's a huge door. That's what I'm talking about.
Right, so the castle doors ! Afaik they are open when you spawn. I must have a picture of them already, I will dig that up.
There is actually a game development/mechanic reason why isle isnt on the door
Don't be shy, tell us
Everything leads back to lightawaits yet again. Isle used to be counted as separate from the rest of the realms. There was no portal for it in aviary, you had to head backwards and fall down a hole to “replay the tutorial” the eden door was the same one from light awaits, and only included the realms that surrounded it, as it was in the center.
I guess it tied in with the idea that Daleth is a ferryman who takes people to sky kingdom, and isle not actually being in the kingdom, only the entrance to it. Interesting isle is still a port in nsw trailer, but now isle is still part of the kingdom.
hmm... That is a good point.
Would it be similar to how orbit can only be accessed if you die in Eden, as in there is no portal for orbit?
I wonder why that was the case if Isle of dawn was meant to be one of the 6 realms.
That and if Aviary would ever return. If I recall correctly, the aviary was removed because there were supposedly technical issues form some players, the devs though the current home would be easier for new players to get started sooner with the portals closer together and supposedly better for the game according to the devs.
@hushed steeple , is there anything else about the dawn elder (Daleth) that set him apart from the other elders?
Was there supposedly a special glowing figure that used to give skykids their cape?
Yes, I have a picture of it. But that same glowkid was later changed out for 3 spirits. Also the tutorial bird turned into them at the gravestone. I don’t think the bird also becomes Daleth’s alter.....but cant actually remember. Actually at one point it was Daleth that gave you the cape by summoning birds around you. And also in one of his old cutscenes, after you heal his mask, he uses the energy to summon boats, and then his face re-breaks. Which im happy is gone because I want him to be healed for good! Thats why his mask is a boat. Yet all the boats got removed from isle. Basically Isle has the most versions ever, and was more than just journey clone many times.
Thanks for making me look at my first eden run pics where I managed to get lost in clouds lol, anyway here are the pics I got
YES THAT'S IT
That's indeed the same kind of door, might check for anything noteworthy on it next time then !
Btw here's a pic of the sky from my run last week, does home weather still change into a solar eclipse when you're in stormlock ? Because... that might be linked 👀
Yea I noticed it too
Wait I rewatched the YouTube vid with the stormlock weather, wtm the solar eclipse was video editing 🗨️👁️ 👄 🗨️👁️
@ the good soul that went and checked in the youtube comments, end me
Goodness!
Aw man, I would cry if poor Isle elder's mask breaks every time he uses his powers.
If that has to be a lore thing, then let him be aware of his limitations, ore even let his mask crack a bit before he stops.
And then let skykids find a way to help with a more permanent solution.
I am like the feature of his mask being broken, because it shows how harsh his situation is, but I am also glad his masks stays in one piece.
There is no eclipse in home while stormlocked.
I checked.
If you force quit the game and go to home while storm locked, you just see the all of the portals are down, eden's doors are closed, the sky is dark and the clouds in the distance are stormy (have lightning).
How I know this is because someone on YouTube thought it was cute to supposedly show an eclipse in home, but that was a edited.
I wish there wan an eclipse, though I suppose that would have to be something serious if the devs wants to do something like it in home.
The "eclipse" is just visible in Office (during the days with Space Station Spirit ) if you go on the roof and find the good point to see sun turning into moon.
Or during the Days Of Mischief, if I recall correctly. Aaand I'm not 100% sure if it can be done, hope it's not patched!
Footage from last year, pretty sure in September
I thought Vela was referring to a video about the sky at home would have an eclipse while storm locked.
The video you showed looks so cool though. 🙂
I hope it does happen in the game.
This is the video I am talking about:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNFhGIUbsuY
This was a hoax that I had to test out in a past Eden run.
LOL, that video is obviously a hoax, looka t the outline of the portals on the left
Plus I think that would be too much to process for a Sky now (especially for those that still cannot see a normal flow of waterfall like me)
Yeah, I noticed (after checking it out in the game )it was a still image of the game with light effects on the skykid, a camera motion and then the eclipse with the clouds trying to blend in with the image.
It would have been a cool image as is, but then the person that made the video claimed they crashed the game to get this.
frog
I think the Yellow one is king eden
The prophecy cave murals always baffled me whenever I saw the “dead” people in there and I’m honestly still uncertain about it, if it’s meant to represent how dangerous the trials were or something else. Death of others being shown so obviously is pretty uncommon in Sky (I mean, outside of skeletons and spirits; I mean more physical depictions of actual dead bodies. The only other instance I can recall is Tearful Light Miner) so it stuck out to me
I think the Prophets accidently got all their students killed. Hh. 8 fallen figures. 8 Students.
Yeah, that could be indeed be the King, Prince or even the Chosen One
Also earth trial has a massive hole in the wall with burn marks. Maybe the trial was not actually completable unless someone got “tenacious”?
All of them? But it could be just a simplification tho.
I secretly hope the chosen one is among the student. They one with dreadlocks (who also seems to have a spiky thing I since day 2-3 of Prophecy thought could be a hint to his destiny)
You mean to say theres more than 8 students? I think the numbers line up too perfectly to say its just an estimate.
Burn marks? Where¿
Never spotted them. Please picture it
Its more like.....a little patch of grey on the floor after the hole is there. I had a picture but uh. I think I deleted it for space.
Maybe, those could be just and oversimplification, after all the murals then summarize the 7 realms
Meaning that maybe this was just the first class of students who attempted it. Then along the ages suddenly a new child or maybe even the first child of the light (seen now in the Folow Me Spirit's memories) arrived
Mm. I think the numbers of figures line up on purpose. But maybe thats just my starving hunger for seeing solid lore in anything I possibly can.
Yeah thats basically what I believe.
Prophets: “all our students failed what else can we do?”
Stargazer: “I found a new child-“
Prophets: “WE’LL TRY IT!”
I mean all the elders and people are all around him so it’s definitely the king
Plus the season is in the shape of his mask.
Not saying your lead is completely wrong, you could also be right. But I kind think of Sky Kindgom to be a long lasted civilization, so I try to think of it in wider time durations
I mostly made it out to be his crown but I agree
He could be the hero who saved them, but it could also be interpreted as you say, as a coronation
Could be
And we know the fallen starkid is the same one in the prophecy mural due to the two stick figures waving goodbye to him matching with Stargazer and Rejecter........I still need to make a graph of that.....

For example, In video by nastymold it was stated that the old concept of Light Crown (same as in the conceptarts) in Old Beta maybe a mark for hacker
So who knows, instead of a coronation he was juat revealed as a cheater
Just a funny thought😅
That also means he mastered the four Elements
If you had ever uploaded you could tracked it back
I think I did post it once hold on uhhh....

Like this old theory of mine right after the 4 Quest during the season (but I took the pictures around the first week)
Found it!
Though the placement of that burn/scuff does not match an explosion in the actual wall....o well
#lore-discussion-spoilers message
Oh, since I mentioned that video here's another theory my mind blew out of nowhere weeks later I had watched the mentioned video about cosmetics which never got out of betas
PIC inthe commented linked
Video in the comment below it
I wonder why it’s broken

Prob because it was only used for war and people put waste into it
Interesting
I must go and get my new game now
I still can’t believe theres promo only cosmetics. As for beta stuff that was changed, I will never understand, why not both? Its already made! Maybe Eden crown was for 100% but never implemented. Which would be why hackers could find it and use it.
Maybe the maze had a tricky "think outside the box" puzzle, but a firebender a puppil of the Fire Prophets used a dirty trick (after all that prophet seems to trick his students during a race in order to win himself)
“Whats more tenacious than TNT?!”
Haha
I think you finally helped me figure out this very first Earth Trial doubt I had back then
In my opinion I like the theory of the 8 pupils being the dead ones, makes it a bit darker
Thank you!
They just couldn’t survive the fire trail
8 dead spirits, 8 player puzzles....
It could be a coincidence since this is a season that came long after the 8 player puzzle came to be a thing and how there are a max of 8 players per instance (including a max of 8 player in Eden).
.... I'll mark that as a thread for now until I can tie it into a proper theory. 🪶
I’m not sure if is the case
Forgetfull me:
Could that bug/glitch be the long lost Journey Skins?
dun dun duunnn
Does kinda look it! Fun to think its still in the game kinda....only in the form of a blended peacock
Anyone have a place I should go to get the general ideas of a lot of sky lore? I have a hard time following this thread since I can’t look at everything
There is the lore doc in the pinned messages and here:

If you are looking for a more visual experience, have a look at Tom Zhao's work:

Know that these are theories and there is very little canon lore in the game.
Have fun, @violet kestrel 🙂
Really?
There are a lot of tombs in forest. Like, a few realms got tombs but they're generally not found on the first try (prairie caves), blend in with the decor as altars or commemorative stones (valley temple) or straight up hidden behind a multi-player gate (vault pray emote).
Forest got an area that a meditate quest called the cemetery/graveyard (at least in french) which is the area in which you can stop the rain, along with a few gravestones near the entrance and shivering trailblazer. Interestingly enough, I haven't found gravestones in areas that don't have rain besides the social area.
Wasn't forest a sacred place in some concept art ? Perhaps it's the reason why, it might have been a popular resting place for those that didn't make it to the end of the migration toward Eden, if ancestors even followed the other creatures into rebirth.
Could spin off my own story and say the presence of corpses along with surnatural rain (see the Prophecy cave paintings, in which the forest elder uses the power of water to summon it) could have been the reason why these trees were special, and later on essential to the creation of dark stone...
Wait a second
Dark stone-
OKAY HEAR ME OUT
Maybe someone already thought of this but you know how charcoal is fossilized burned wood? Maybe dark stone is made a similar way, with the trees from forest
Interesting...
In Golden Wasteland, the area where the krill are with the large skulls and bones is the Graveyard in English.
And the place that you say is called cemetery/graveyard in French, is called Bone yard in English.
i was looking at some of the concept art of forest, and saw that the trees in forest were called rain trees. is it possible that the assembly treehouse was made out of a stump from one of these trees, cut down to make dark stone, and because the stump is all lit up, it can't make as much rain, hence the intermittent rain in that area?
Forest ossuary ?
🦴 👏
feel free to correct me if there is evidence against it
Well, that might be true.
It is not clear where the dark stone came from, though it did seem to have naturally occured almost like a mineral or resource.
The door to the forest temple suggests that the spirits were gathering materials to make power diamonds and the door showed trees being cut down played a part.
Though that might not be enough to confirm this, even with the lumberjack spirit.
The light miner spirit might also suggest that dark stone can be mined, though the same problem comes up with not enough evidence to show it.
Hope this helps.
The trees canopy is clouds.
So maybe they cut them down thinking it might stop the rain
No trees, no clouds, no rain
Honestly that's the case with coal too, you can make it by burning wood or by digging in the right place.
...at least, in minecraft. Would Teth play minecraft ?
Who's Teth?
You get charcoal from burning wood, which are renewable.
Though coal is not renewable.
Teth is the elder of the Hidden forest. That is her old name from the old beta.
Teth is Forest Mama's name, ok. What are the other Elders names?
Forest elder crafts a diamond sword and kills you POV
Dawn - Daleth
Day - Ayen
Forest - Teth
Valley - Samekh (Sam and Mek for the spiky hair one and the smooth hair one respectivly)
Wasteland - Tsadi
Vault - Lamed
King - Resh
Prince - Alef
flies away
Thx
I prefer calling the twins Kakashi and Dora tbh
All of those old names are not canon though.
While you may see them in the concept art, the devs stated those names are considered fanon.
That would likely be Dawn (daleth).
It would be really cool if Daleth was pronounced Dalek
Does anyone have a doc of all of TLP's dialogue in Sky?
What's TLP? I'm sorry I'm dumb
The Little Prince
Oh
I used to have it, but I forgot to save 💀
May I ask why?
If you want, you can watch YouTube videos. There are content creators that shared the quests throughout the season.
OH GOD 🇫
Oof
I need refs for my fanfic
Ooooh nice
So as I was saying, could the Lack of other corrupted creatures mean that Krills can sustain themselves for longer, or maybe they ate the other dark creatures?
If this was the case, do you think the Krill eat the 🦀?
Or maybe the krill were tiny and evolved to fly and float while crabs stayed on the ground, finding other food to eat?
Krills are made in the ocean. In order to come into being they need to be slow turned over a grill, freshly cleaned and then loaded onto a skewer.
Why are there hardly any villages in sky?
It's not that there's hardly any but it's probably just because most are under the cloud cover as you can see with the surroundings of Valley Stadium area. The floating structures you can see there are only ones for the higher class while the mid and lower class residences are under. I imagine that other kingdoms have their own residential spaces hidden somewhere too, perhaps it'll get uncovered with the introduction of more seasonal areas.
Or there Destroyed
If there are animal masks then shouldn't there be animals they are based on too? Do oxen, birds and other animals the masks are based on exist in the Sky world?
Okay, perhaps a stupid question--but why do some white candles have wax (like forest elder's or valley race) while some don't (like sanct quests)?
Perhaps they did once but went extinct due to light perhaps being extracted from them (or) of manual labours (or) climate
Perhaps the ox was used for transportation and went extinct that way and probably some disease due to getting the transportation to gw (by industries perhaps) and so with other creatures
Knowing that everyone is dead makes the Season of dreams final chapter more sad.
Same question. There's a specific tree in Vault that gives off wax, but only that one tree
Exactly, and not the other one
Also from what I observed, I've come to the conclusion that polluted water (not dark water in gw. Polluted water in forest) erases the wax off of plants (and not the plant itself) when exposed to the rain directly.
The bones near the left side of the second main area in the last (where you arrive from the 8/8 shortcut) while the other dark plants that do give you wax are most likely shielded away (like in caves) or are near a light source (reconstructed temples + under the bridge in 2nd and 5th assembly quest), or both.
Since I was looking into my folder, this just to repost an old random theory of mine.
What could be that long shape burried below the water under the Isle Intro Tunnel?
Do we know someone who might be a giant figure in the world of Sky?
I back then came up with the idea that, since Isle is not a Realm per se (a tutorial in the past, the Kingdom entrance now) someone could be buried so far a way for it's shame and it's guilts...
Maybe the giant Evil King Resh
👁👄👁
That is haunting to look at-
Do u think sky kids can love...🥺
Like romantic or platonic
hi! does anybody have links/photos to the world of sky as a whole? (the concept art). i remember seeing them but I don't know where to find it :((
they should be on tomzhao.com
thank you so much!
no problem! :D
The lore reason is that thick clouds and high winds shroud a great deal of the ancestor spirits’ living areas
The more practical reason is that the game is so streamlined because of performance limitations. I think the village of dreams was a feat for them to pull off.
We can also see from the Switch cinematic trailer that the ancestors were nomadic. It’s probable that aside from caves, treehouses, and stone homes, they mostly lived in camps that are now gone. We still have evidence of these camps, like the social areas fires.
I also think that there’s a village in Eden but it’s gone eden may be the Capital
Okay, probably unrelated, but in Earth trials there was a broken circlular hole right?
Was it half constructed or was someone trapped in formerly who then dies? Or something, maybe?
In fire trials (probably in others too idrk) when you lose you hear bells for some reason. I don't know why really.
Okay random theory, what if Isle Elder was kinda banned--removed--solely because of the fact that he refused to ship power diamonds and other things that would damage the kingdom on the long run? Which leads to now Golden Wasteland making ships and all which adds to additional work and eventually more toxic environment
I’m not sure if isle elder was banned but the wastland being toxic can be cus or that
I was thinking he could have been banned or something along those lines due to the toppled chair on 4p vault (which could be due to Valley twins perhaps too but they could be more formal presenting) + Isle was not noted on the Eden gate
Some disagreements at the least to me
I checked and you’re right
I mean they're purely my view I guess, could definitely be wrong but Isle Elder not being included in general makes it look like something happened
Theory I came up on the spot after a thought ran off.
What if the twins were never originally twins and they weren't really 1 star split in two either? Rather they were both just interpretations from 2 different villages of what an elder of triumph could look like. They compromised and made the coliseum and other parts of the Valley together. Then the main compromise was making them into twins so it wasn't 1 village's interpretation had to be left behind and forgotten.
That’s kinda true when we first meet them they look like one
Plus also in the coliseum there is 1 red and 1 blue viewing area of where upper class/village royalty would sit
are there any other kingdoms on the planet?
I’m not sure whether to put it under this chat or seasons event chat, but I have a question about the current season and how it relates to the lore. The rose is called an “ancestor spirit” like the other spirits right? This implies that the rose died a long time ago and is now an ancestor, which would by extension imply the same for the prince. Yet, at the same time, we meet the prince in person and experience his journey as if it was currently happening as opposed to having happened in the distant past. This confuses be a bit. Anyone care to explain?
Okay, maybe so, but then if one isn't disregarded, why does it seem like the male twin/masc twin have more "power" than the more dora hair twin?
frog
Wasn't there something about the Elders being tasked with ensuring the migration of light goes smoothly un light awaits ? Perhaps the ancestors followed that migration too.
Perhaps the Rose dies by the time the Prince reaches and they both die/Prince dies on earth and reunites, it's like a current-->past events that occurred-->current format perhaps
Or when prince left she dies almost instantly while he's now going through different planets
Wh... Are you extrapolating from the cutscene where Dora hair misses the light ? Feels like an act to me, playfight and banter at most. Their movements are almost always synchronized besides that, so I believe they're equal. If they were for real, the moth wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to hit the light in that game of catch lol.
Imagine they practiced for the moment of when they meet someone for so many years that if one of them messed up the other would have gone OFF on them?
Hmm perhaps. Thanks. All this “this happened in the past” and “this is happening right now” is still hard to wrap my head around though.
Obviously it's a playful banter (most perhaps so) but in that case Dora hair could have gotten it once
My sibling would totally NOT let me get the spotlight even if we were both trying to impress a child tbh
I was looking for forest temple concept and

This gives me an idea. The chamber in which the "artificial star" is imbued with energy is where the Forest Elder shrine comes out of, right ? And the Vault cutscene shows you can light up the artificial star with your flame (which probably is more than just fire and might be the light you offered the shrine).
The thing that powered the world and its artificial stars might have been light offerings. The elders light up when you offer them light, machinery activates when you offer it light, ancestor spirits even take light offerings as payment/tokens of friendship.
Why else would the forest shrine be in the middle of a factory, but to be offered light and used as a source of power (or hearth, since blacksmithing words would fit) ? That might explain why the elder quickly yoinks the light out of your hands, they're doing the job they were given offerings for.
When the elders fell, it probably stopped them from accepting offerings the way they used to that gave society so much energy, and this was the beginning of the end.
I also saw that, and it makes sense, but in the game it seems to be a fancy door opener
It could be both. A mechanism can have two functions, or be modified to go from one to another.
Pin poem talks about scattered light broken in vain that no longer falls apart too. I don't want to go off tangents based off just my feelings, but I find that interesting.
Sike, actually I'm gonna say it because I like it: maybe the Forest Elder was behind the power diamonds at first, but maybe something made them regret their discovery (exhaustion ? damage done to their realm ?) and they could have lashed out at their own machines, causing more harm than good if it was in vain.
Production could have been moved somewhere else (under order of the king ?) by then, like the Wastes.
Yea, u see similar machines in the wasteland
I mean...
My sibling wouldn't too but like, I can compete and get one too right?
Yeah you're perhaps right tho, I just wanted to question their "builds".
I think in Vault's cutscene the king was yelling while using spell. It looks similar to when sky kid use spell, and spells are sold as colored orbs too.
Maybe he was trying to resize...
this made me laugh so hard I started dry heaving thank you
New theory: King got angy that he got small height trying to be tall
Also, as a future reference because I’ve been thinking, is this channel also good for headcanoning/general thoughts in relation to lore other than theories? For instance if I’ve had some thoughts regarding how Skykid-society is worked out, but it’s not based on any kind of hard evidence and is merely world building, is that alright to send in here?
@tawny cliff
Also the wax they're made out of is most likely not the same as candles, canonly wise
@half shadow I feed ur fish
Same
Also my friend has a dark turn on how candles were made
He has an OC who's a candlemaker and has to go through...very gruesome ways to get the wax.
Ur feesh so kewt he must be so happy
(plz keep him safe)
Basically his OC has to take trips to Eden and take away the corpse of dead Skykids (mostly the ones that cannot be saved) to make them into candles-
No no i didnt askkkk
so sad!
I got a yes reaction and that’s enough for me. Okay so, this is all a result of insomnia and hyperfixation induced brainstorming and is purely headcanon, but without further ado here’s some disorganized thoughts on Skykid culture;
I like to think that Skykids are set up in a way where the “older” ones look out for the freshly-fallen ones, or moths. It’s probably very disorientating to suddenly arrive at Home as a thinking, feeling, conscious being after falling from wherever it is they are created. A fresh moth is usually pretty awkward and shaky on their feet, so it’s common for other Skykids to be there to greet and sorta dust them off. More experienced skids are sort of the designated leaders and caretakers and it’s in bad faith to just leave another struggling without offering any help. They’re basically all they have, which is why social groups and bonds are heavily emphasized among them. The white candles that they present to eachother to offer friendship are handmade, which can come in a variety of different sizes and shapes depending on how skilled they have become at wax crafting. It’s common practice to celebrate a moth’s first candle, no matter how small and misshapen it might look like as their first try. Skykids who come back from Eden are similarly shaky once they arrive back at Home from Orbit, and may retread somewhat in solitude for a time to recuperate mentally. The skids who have gone through Eden share a usually stronger bond between eachother, and there’s a sort of code of silence among them to not discuss the details of Eden with newer skykids. Some who go through Eden indeed do not end up coming back and candles are lit for them in their absence.
I have a lot of other ones but here’s just a sample lol
Em I’d think this would be instead put in #lore-discussion-spoilers
This… this is that channel. This is #lore-discussion-spoilers unless I’m hallucinating
Oof no wait am the one who is hallucinating mY BADD
Question, what even are these creatures? Not krills for sure, perhaps some whale thing we see in forest boneyard?
No they have no bones
They're called Shadows
Since they aren't anywhere else, I'd say some sort of creation used solely for the trial, or the trial is their prison
Ah, I see. Could they be the residuals/left bits of the boneyard though?
Without the bones that is
Also, would that mean they kinda trapped shadows and made them from scratch?
It would mean that someone had that power, maybe the prophet guide?
Were the trials made before or after the discovery of Darkstone? 🤔
frog
it wasnt made by the prophets, rather it was introduced and entrusted to them, whoever made them however prolly was in an era without technology
the answer to the question is both
Oh thx
This is excellent food.
I haven’t gotten to the part in the trials yet, but having played two so far...it seems that these trails maybe happen in our heads, or at least some spiritual plane similar to the one the Elders reside in. Maybe these shadows are more like mental figments than actual monsters.
ohhhhhh I love this head canon so muchhhhh
I love the idea of skids fashioning their own candles, and veterans taking care of moffs
So here's a question you probably never thought to ask
Where exactly is the Home Island relative to the other areas of the game?
The prince is everywhere
How does that have anything to do with The Little Prince?
Oh, I was talking about the images sent by Happy Amoeba
I know
That's just the jet thing from the 3rd floor of Vault
How does that relate to the Little Prince?
I don't think they know who the concept prince is...
Oh no
We are talking about the Eden Elder hinted at in the game. There was concept art showing a Prince character who might’ve became the King.
The diamond with the dots seems to be his crest. He had a face that looked like it
He didn’t make it to the final version of Sky, but he seems to be hinted at
(Hm. Never noticed that the corrupt King’s head looks like rock. If the normal King shows the prince standing on a pedestal, it seems the corrupt prince is encased in stone, similar to how dead Spirits are.
Holy crap
That's the shape of the cursor that shows you where the goal is
Is our goal to find the king and save him, eden season when????
J/
There's a figure on the King picture, maybe that's the Prince, but then is the King the Prince in a suit, and if so, what exactly is the corrupt king?
Here are some in game references to the prince (not petit prince) image from @hushed steeple
We don’t know. It seems that something happened to him, or he fell from grave
Lol ok
Originally the concept art showed us saving the Prince in the end. That’s what the last WL after we die Eden was supposed to be I think
The debate is whether it is still him in that part now
Personally I head canon that the pressures of being King was too much for a poor kid. Or messing with the power that exploded in Eden injured him somehow
Maybe, the cursor is in the shape of the King's head, and going back to wl being imprints of him, what if they were shards of him, and the final wl was the original Prince, reduced to the form he was when he fell
So we're herding the wl back to him so he can become whole again
I'm pretty sure the reason we've never gotten a season in Eden I'd because TGC is saving it for the grand finale; the final season after which none more will be made.
It could revolve around healing Eden and restoring it back to being a paradise
I like to think that encasement in stone is what they meant when the elders cursed the king's crown.
It's thought that the blue sky kid we see in ushering stargazer's memory is the prince. The gold child we hug is also theorized to be the prince (I like the idea that it is us rather than the prince #lore-discussion-spoilers message )
None of it is confirmed but it's popular here
Goodness me I sure do hope so!!!!
frog
Prophecy was the Midpoint
Yaaay
THATS WHAT I THINK TOO! Right on!
he cant be saved, thats not how it works, they may be of light but once something shatters, its irreversible, that atleast is true in sky. if the king could resurrect, he wouldve done so
Oh
Scooby do “wha-?” Wait, they cursed his crown??? This is new to me

The devs said the King isn't around to be saved anymore.
Btw, does anyone have any idea what wl actually is? Are they pseudo skykids? are they just light? does anyone know?
Maybe it is not us skykids that saves the king, but the spirits or the other elders? (spit balling ideas)
Don't take my word for it but I think it's from Tom Zhao's concept timeline !
thats true, but hes still present nonetheless, the imprints itself is the king's after all
Yeah, but then didn’t they say he is in the game, just not in the way we think
Maybe him being unsavable doesn’t mean he is doomed to some sort of purgatory. Maybe it means he is in a better state than we think, and so he doesn’t need to be saved
It's theorized that the wls are imprints of the prince, not confirmed
Not necessarily true. If a window gets shattered, you could gather all the pieces, put them in a pan and superheat it so they melt back together
It will never be perfect again, but it can be fixed
The same is true with people. It is possible to heal from trauma, even if there will always be scars
meh, that would make sense if all the spirits we save is the only spirits that inhabited the kingdom centuries ago, the ones we save are leftovers basically
I prefer to fix stuff like this:
Nice!
Oh I love that idea. I remember learning about this Japanese tradition somewhere. It’s such a beautiful philosophy
i get the thought, but lore wise i dont think it fits in, all those things u said couldve been done without us if thats the case. the other elders werent dead but why couldnt they save themselves? and entities and windows arent necessarily the same either, its like comparing a shattered frozen body and putting it back again
We actually put the wls on the cracks of the statues in sacrifice
Fair
Anyway, where exactly is the Home island supposed to be located relative to the rest of the areas?
Is it part of Isle? Or Sanctuary? Or what?
Yeah I’d like to know this too
somewhere in the planet, a tiny isolated island pretty much, that is to say that it is canon
the rock formation afar can be glitched to reach, apparently its just the mural from first cinematic
Well, actually, a different kind of repairing could hold up with the lore. When we finish a spirit memory the blue light goes to the back of the statues where a crack is, we also put the wls on the cracks on the backs of the statues in sacrifice
Duuuuude. But why did they do that????
Edit: I mean, why did the elders do such a thing? “Curse” sounds like they WANT to make him evil or injure him somehow, gosh, and I don’t think of the Elders as that bad of people to do that to the poor Prince. Maybe they meant to help him in someway and it went terribly wrong, or they were trying to keep a violent/not-so-well-meaning Prince form hurting others
its relighting, not repairing. the statues arent damaged physically, theyre just trapped in a shell, drained of light
same thing goes for us when we die, we somehow have plot armor and relights our self with our own personal wl reserve that the skid 1.0 apparently doesnt have
There's a mural where the idea is shown (but it's more of a joke mural, the mural is located in sanctuary but now displays jellyfish. It changes. I don't know what it's been before, I only know of the two forms)
Well, what is more likely to perform better? The first mars rover ever made or the third?
that sanc cave mural was a bug, weve all been had, betrayed and bamboozled
Wasn't it a joke?
it wasnt, it was a bug
Oh, so I've been tricked, backstabbed, and quite possibly bamboozled twice!
So was it always meant to be the jellyfish or?
the thing is, weve been created also centuries before the civilization even started, quite possibly the same time as the elders were created. thats to say that were somehow built to withstand eden but not the first ones, but the eden fall didnt even happen then
it was 4 spirits, one holding spear and prince lying on the ground, nobody knew wat it meant and it didnt matter wat it meant cus it was a bug
Not necessarily. It could always be sort of like how we, as humans, are made of stardust, we didn't exist before humans evolved into existence but the stars did
to add, its a known theory that were not pure, but hybrids of light and dark, somehow it made sense in practice because we basicallt acted like batteries. but how and why megabird made us that way is vacant
It was the elders. You can see the models of the mural elders in prophecy just as separate murals
And the whole stardust thing isn't meant to sound like religious stuff or whatever, it's just that the matter that comprises us and pretty much everything were once part of stars or whatever (I think)
idk where i saw it, prolly in one of the lore docs or smth i just came up with from knowing that were a subspecies of elders. light and dark always have existed and coexisted since the beginning, sure, but the point is, how come were made different from the skids 1.0? are we megabird's secret arsenal of autobots, waiting for our time to be yeeted to the battlefield and fight the dark?
Just had a ridiculous idea. You know how people would use the stars as maps? I just imagined a sky kid attempting to use the stars as maps but they keep getting annoyed as there maps aren't correct anymore as the stars keep falling out of the sky as sky kids lol
Well, the idea is that Megabird made several versions of the sky kids as improvements after previous versions "failed"
It's just a theory tho. So no need to believe it or make all other theories fit it
Ok back to playing sky rather than talking about it. See you later Kitsuu!

Woah! Now I guess maybe they used an old beta story mural as a placeholder there or something
But gosh what happened to the prince. Sounds pretty heavy metal
A cursed crown and then he apparently gets stabbed down by a thrown spear? Sheesh
I'm pretty sure the glowy kid at the end is actually just some other Skykid coming along and making the sacrifice for you
murals are simple as they are usually open ended, it could mean alot of things, from wat i remember thats wat it depicts. it could be that he was shank by them spear bois, or he was found on the ground by patrolling speary bois
I love your delivery of this info lol
Mm, good point. He could’ve just been found by someone. Might’ve been similar to the isle spirit memory where they find a fallen skid
unlikely, when we die, our statue arent drained of light or blue in color despite, well, losing every stars and light we had. were instead a hue of gold, glowing and alive, like after u give a star to a statue
Still is anyone gonna explain to my why the hecc the Prince’s crown was cursed
but to be fair, that does leave a hole, we would have a completely different ending, but who would save the skid that saved us? and who would save them aswell and so forth? and where would they even get the imprints, i doubt theres an infinite supply of imprints for all the skids thatll come before us, theres only one king after all
even to say spirit's wing buffs, do they have an infinite supply of them? why do we only get the wing buffs when we meet them in orbit when they can descend from their tombs in social spaces?
lore is fun aint it
its morbid too, if its the case of no true end but a futile cycle of rebirth and death i dont see the point of going further
nvm theres no 4 spirit, just a spear dorito boi and a prince on giant spell
looks pretty telling for a bug.
do tell
thats wat we thought too, and lo and behold it was for nought, the hammer has dropped "its a bug". the god themselves spoke
we see parts of the other elder's shapes. Then the king that looks similar to one in the prophecy cave, and then the wasteland elder standing to the side.
(So far that I can tell with the parts of the elders: Valley elders?, Vault, Daylight and Forest I thnk?)
is there canon lore for the red crystals or not really?
welp for starters, tsadi didnt have a 2 pronged fork, but a pointy spear stick
welp as far as i know, they are, but the details of how, wat, why and where is very much vacant, theres some theories ofc
i see, then it is free real estate
everything is, most of the details u see here are most often theories of other people, tgc-confirmed details however, exists but theyre as vague as the lore so meh
he do be looking like he did a downward sweeping strike with the blunt part and threw off the prince, brutal
no wonder tgc had to cover it up as a bug
||
||
It's weirdly cropped
Also, on the third floor, you don't have to light 3 of the "phantom" lamps. Once there are only three unlit ones, they immediately light up and you can meditate to raise the platform. Pretty sure for the meditating monastic one of the candles can be unlit in the same way, but I'll check since I'm in vault anyway
i was waiting for someone to point it out
but yes, a popular one before it was confirmed a bug was, its the elders
It is actually the elders tho. It's from the murals of prophecy. My guess is that a dev made that mural for fun but it got into the game by accident
Yep, the very last candle for the meditating monastic lights up on its own once you light the rest
so teasing us with already vague lore and removing potential lore then putting it off as a bug is fun
I drew a crude map, and would like your opinions on the placement.
(I don't think they meant for it to get into the game)
