In Prophecy murals, you could see the four colored lights that were given to shiny boi that were shared across the realms. Enchantment, also having similar colored lights, were shown to restore areas with the specific element.
Its possible that the reason why Isle appeared to be green and full of life in the trailer similar to Prairie was because of the colored elemental lights that were shown in the Prophecy murals. After all, one of the murals shows shiny boi with the colored lights upon Isle. They were probably used on Isle.
The reason why Isle looks like a desert now is perhaps the light that have once given life to Isle in the past has faded away long ago
Anyways, back to lurking I go
(got the idea from the season of prophecy) starting from the left side: spirit #1 has a cape, a hair, and a mask. spirit#2 has a pant, a hair, and a maks. spirit #3(the middle one is the guide) has a hair, a cape, and a pant/mask. spirit #4 has a hair, a pant, and a mask. Guide has a hair, a cape looking pants.
PS. spirit #4 might be a stance spirit. spirit #1's mask might have a flying goggle as mask
#3 I assume has pants instead, and spirit #2 seems to not have a pant because it looks really similar to 3rd pant (in the normal constellations--Polite Scholar) or it's just me
Have a look at Tom Zhao's work. :)
I've been playing this game for about 2 months and I hadn't noticed it gosh
So on top of all the realm archways, there's the head of the elder (like you see in the 6). When you turn to Eden though, there's only five--with Isle Elder missing, so what does it symbolise?
Does it go like the Isle elder predicting the end and telling them to stop pretty actively, which they don't do and it ends up in him getting banished of some sort, while they continued and therefore leading to places like gw and eden?
Just uploading a higher quality version of the picture the 2nd spirit is definitely wearing a new outfit / pants, remember that the outfit top and pants are connected as one outfit, spirit #2 outfit is brown /orange whilst spirit #3 top is green / turquoise and from what i can see there is a possibility of getting 4 new outfits as the details on the boots from the 2nd to 5th spirit are all different…
Bringing it back to lore i hope this new season is dripping in it.
Hello! im trying to make a Sky oc from wasteland realm, but its very difficult to find wasteland lore :c if someone knows, can you explain? I just don't understand really clear the war thing :cc
That is so much more useful than the cobbled list of facts I made.
Thanks
In the forest realm, the king(a.k.a. Eden elder) finds dark stone that can take light from things and get rich from using them. The wasteland was used as a factory thing(if you look at old concept arts wasteland is filled with modern factory)But this took away the light creature’s light(the whale and mantas?) so they had a war(in wasteland) and the dark stone thing made an explosion(you can see it in the memory of the first spirit in wasteland) and most of the light creatures turned into krills. Hating light. This is all I know-
Or guesses
Wasteland is very industrial.
The war supposedly broke out some time ago.
There are some theories about what wasteland used to look like, though now it is a wasteland.
Perhaps, fepending on what your OC does, they can either be a drifter, scavenger, warrior, or even a traveling merchant.
You can look at the spirits for ideas (seasonal ones included) if it helps.
Oh and some scraps of theory stuff about wasteland
The graveyard is literally grave of light creatures. Bc some did manage to go to Eden as you can see there
Also Only a theory but there are saying the pipe carried leftovers from dark stones after taking energy outta them so some says the wasteland was already being corrupted before the war and that’s how krebs were made
Is this supposed to be solidified dark water?
More like slugde, or even tar.
It's flowing but there's no animation just the sound probably to reduce the lag on devices
Or its encased in a layer of a solid form of it
Oh, okay, thank you for that!
like wet glue?
Yee
Okay I really wanted to go through some spirits and I just found that the slouching soldier in TLP is actually one of the (former) Wasteland warriors
yes, though one that either failed his duties, or lost a battle, or have been traumatised.
Or well, got too drunk to mingle anymore, which is a version of failing his duties I guess
his cape is damaged, I doubt that would be caused by drinking.
The soldier is the only connection as a spirit to TLP really
I mean, drunk people can't see straight--might've fallen down plenty of times and got his cape tattered
Others were trying to not maintain contact with him, at least from what I saw--leaving him behind
War wouldn't have been here for one because they were specifically getting away from him
(Or trauma from war made him drink dark water, cape tattered before that, maybe)
last time i checked water cant destroy fabric
hence why I doubt it is the case.
One cna theorise a tattered cape could mean he is not well off, has been hurt in battle (unable to return to the fight), has been dishonoured or even batttle-worn.
Obviously it's not because of the water but vision
Speaking of which, then is Wasteland and the forest rain basically alcohol for spirits?
Drinkable ones too?
We don't see too many drunkards in forest afaik.
hm...
The rain in forest is polluted water, so it is unlikely to serve well as a drink that is good for your health.
The dark water in wasteland has a oily sheen on it, so it is likely a tar, or heavily polluted water.
It is pretty questionable if all spirits would drink dark water. Though is a curious detail how the devs suggested that the slouching soldier would drink the stuff, given the character he represents in the book drinks alcohol.
It might be possible to make alcohol if one were to use plants leave to ferment.
Polluted water is basically dark water but colourless, isn't it?
Not all would, of course, but it's like the in game alcohol perhaps, but considering it originates from a factory (maybe)...eh different universe perhaps
frog
The reason I am saying polluted and not jsut dark rain water is how the water that is collected on the ground is not dark water, we can stand in that water and under a structure and not get hurt by it, so it is the rain drops falling themselves that is harming skykids. It is weird since the clouds are fine, though we cannot technically reach the clouds that is raining down, and how the water works in realm.
Dark water as it is in the game is a dark and oily subsistence that slows down skykids and have a has a sound effect that suggest it is thicker than normal water. If you angle the camera low to teh water, you can see that 'iridescent or rainbow' like sheen on it.
Here is a picture to show what I mean as an example:
https://www.piquenewsmagazine.com/whistler-news/naturespeak-is-that-oil-on-the-beach-2507979
Yes, I had observed it as well and thought that was a result of the industries of some sort--the clouds looking fine from a distance which is ground level and more higher clouds have the more polluted rainwater which then ends up to be detrimental to the skykids
Ah, well, true, I guess that's understandable but now I have a question--why is the raindrop polluted but when it hits the ground, the ground (if we take cover under a tree which is exposed to the same water) not detrimental to us? Since they cannot be diluted (as most of them are toxic and it's raining toxic water and at this point it is supposed to be toxic as well)
I am seriously not happy with how the water in sky is odd.
We have ocean water that never has waves, there is icy cold water in the ice rink area in valley of triumph that lets candles burn underwater and not hurt cosmic creatures or skykids, and then the raindrops themselves hurt skykids, but not mantas supposedly and becomes neutralised when it hits the ground or in clouds.
I understand most of this can be explained away with in game limitation (such as lag from an choppy or wavy ocean). But still. It boggles my mind how water works in sky.
Wine can go bad and become vinegar. Or seeing the starlight desert is pretty oniric, perhaps the tar represents alcohol's psychological properties rather than physical.
I guess it hardly goes night up in Sanct and also that it kind of doesn't get much air often (if at all to me, except when it does but still there's none)
And with candles burning underwater, it's a light kingdom and they can be more helpful than not, the dynamic is not the same as Earth
With the mantas, agreed. Or probably they're immune to it at that point despite being caught up amongst dark plants? The only possible answer could be the fact that they also recharge from those blooms
@nimble ingot
@rigid mural
to make wine, you to let grape juice ferment.
Letting the wine ferment, does make vinegar.
Perhaps it's best to look at it from an emotional angle as well; being at the mercy of the rain is commonly associated with negative emotions such as depression.
The ice rink may not hurt because it's associated with the general fun of the level with sliding around and all; also I feel like the flame of skykids is closer to magic than a litteral flame.
And again with tar, just like rain, it's associated with pollution, toxicity and helplessness (like sea birds caught in black tides).
HELLO MY LORESEEKERS it has been a long time hug me
It stil begs the question
Fair enough a skykid flame can defy some laws of physics, though what of the candles dotted around the map. AS of the recent canlde running update, more canles are placed in the world, which is when a bundle of candles were added under the ice rink. When ever as skykid hits water and starts swimming, they put away their candles and keep swimming. They dont have to work hard to keep themselves afloat, though would not light up their canldes while in water, except for that particular pond of ice water.

I agree that skykids are sensitive to purity, hence why they can easily get hurt by crabs, krill flying over them (let alone bashing them), standing in polluted water etc.
Though would still consider how rain is a natural phenomenon that can represent healing, or calming emotions. While the main cast of spirits are mellow at best (hide and seek and blush spirits), and depressed at worst (dismay and crying spirits). The season spirits there gives a different side to the atmosphere as they are more playful (chuckling and daydream spirit) and still have nuetral emotions (baffled and scared spirit).
So, overall, the Forest is a very neutral realm in my opinion. It feels neither overly positive, or overly negative. It feels as complicated and confusing as one would expect in adolescence.
Yeah, I agree about the Forest, but I think rain represents depression, bad thoughts and stuff, I think that’s what makes it toxic. Sky doesn’t always follow physics and stuff, it follows emotions. It’s really logical if you remember that the Forest represents teenage. But it’s not a necessary negative place, as the Wasteland.
My headcanon reason is that the rain is from the Storm but the stream is not
The slouching soldier makes me sad. I just wanna hug him and drive him to an AA meeting.
About the war... What were they fighting against, or what were the sides? I know there's the spirits (like the play dead guy), but what else?
It's unclear. There's concept art of the light creatures attacking the spirits, but it's likely has been scrapped. There's two kinds of shield (sun and diamond) and there's also barriers that impede terrestrial enemies so in my opinion it likely has been a war between ancestor spirits.
So in the first map, our ancestors found a kingdom (the second map), then they discovered the powers of the light and learned to use it to make a lot of things. In forbidden forest they were still learning all of the uses and started digging for it (which is the reason why there were so many caves). In the valley of triumph our ancestors finally found all the ways to use the light energy and built amazing things like the racetrack thingy and statues, but more and more other spirits found out that they were harming the sky world while using all the light sources. There were two thoughts now, ppl that wants to use the light energy to its fullest and ppl that does not want to harm the sky world( the valley twins for example). Then in the golden wasteland, the fight between the two tribes finally began and many spirits died from that war. Btw krill are light creatures that got killed because there were no more light energy(btw these might not be true, just my thoughts
The two types of shields meant that there must be two different people fighting
I personally think there was a war between the spirits, possibly with the King’s forces on one side. Then, as the war raged, Eden’s explosion/breaking/whatever occurred, decimating both sides and leaving the few lone survivors to perish to either the resulting buildup of darkness or krill.
no problem ! i love talking about the hebrew alphabet names with relation to the elders
Here IS a question, what even IS the starlight desert?
A place created by two seperate realities meeting eachother. The two realities hadn't ever impacted each other until now. of course this is just my theory
Well, theres a thory talking that the Vault IS a "dream of some sort" só ARE those two dreams?
Could be!
remember thats a theory and also TLP could just not be canon at all like the office
Did you see what i have seen?
wrong channel
#screenshots-and-videos
BUT THEY GET IN WITHOUT THE CAPE
Hello
Rrakers
Still, wrong channel. This channel is for lore. Also, there have been reports of a new wave of hackers so that might be what's going on, it could also be that the cosmetics of the leading moth hadn't loaded in on your screen.
A "moth" is a new player. They have brown wings, they flap around uncontrollably, and they are drawn to flame!
oh, welcome to lore Dev-caped kid!
actually, do we have an official name for the dev-caped sky kid?
Dark stones?
Pretty much the staple of technology from the times of the ancestor spirits; they're the diamond things you gotta light up to open doors.
Is the one at the center of Eden a dark stone?
The giant red diamond in Eden is similar to the power diamonds seen throughout the realms.
You see smaller version on the sides of boats that let them fly, in the doors that you can open, on the pedestals to activate mechanisms, in the heads of some of the king statues in Golden Wastelands, and as the Diamond that runs the elevator in Vault (also the floating platforms in Valley of Triumph).
These power diamonds act like batteries to store flame. Though they need more flame to be activated, hence why skykids need to light them up constantly. The range from dark (inactive), blue (powering up), yellow (fully powered and/or activated) and red (which is the corrupted state that you can find in Eden. They furiously shakes when skykids get near and steal light when touched).
Ahhh thank you! Is the red power diamond in Eden possibly connected to or is the cause of all the light-stealing red crystals all about there? They’re irregular and not a perfect diamond but they seem similar
If you manage to get close enough to it, or even look at it at certain angles, you can see the diamond is fractured and violently shaking.
I am 99% sure that is the cause of the storm, and what is fuelling it.
There is a theory that the ancestors tried to fix things, though they perished in the storm (turned to stone).
Yeah, I get the vibe of a massive shockwave of energy that just ripped through the entire kingdom. Possibly the Eden Elder/King (if they’re one in the same) became mad with power and pushed the diamonds to their absolute limit?
What is peeking postbun not telling us? Tell me your purple cape secrets!
Hehe I noticed them on my last run too. They’re just vibing
I thought that your glowing skykid was the little prince, lol!
And yeah, that is a bug. Probably the blueish spirit colour mixing with the red cape, since that spirit is one of the few ones that stands out due to his red cosmetics.
The are a lot of theories around the elder of Eden, the King and the Prince.
There is no canon lore confirming what happened to the elder of Eden (as far as I know), or the King not physically present in the game (based on the dev's comment of him no longer there to be saved though still in the game in other ways).
That said, this leaves questions and theories of these 3 characters either being the same person, or all being separate, which is open for debate.
The Prince and the King sharing a common fact of being absent in the game, though seen in concept art.
Eden is the only realm with no obvious elder present. What may suppose is the elder is the light kid (what I call the light version of the skykid in the void after you die in eden), since that interaction follows the plot of the other realms. You go through the realm, save spirits, go to the end of the realm, which is usually the temple or throne of the elder, and then you meet the elder.
There is even a filename found in the game that suggests the scene where you meet this light kid is called, 'King Hug.'
Hope this helps.
Now that you mention it, all the capes in that image are purple in the background
Oh wow, that’s been something I’ve wondered about to. If the Skykid “main character” is some version of the King/Prince/Elder that has been fractured into a bunch of pieces (reason for all the many skykids maybe) that could be pretty neat. I thought before that the light child in the void was just the inner light of the skykid, but I think it makes more sense that they could be someone else. Very cool!
What do you think about winged light kids
I shall pause and wait for Raider’s response
Well I think you're right and what you wrote is the reason we can absorb winged light kids
the other day, there was a conversation about comparing part of the game to real world cultures and religions to see if there are any overlapping details that might give clues.
For example, in Buddhism and Christianity, there is a 3 in 1 philosophy that makes up a person. Which is the body, the soul and the spirit, even though in Buddhism it would be the mind instead of soul, both represent the culmination of the person (everything that makes up the person and who they are).
When applied to the skykid, their bodies being a vessel would be the body. Their soul would be the blue sprite seen when you die in Eden, since this blue sprite can be a spirit since it is seen in spirit memories where you guide the spirit to the memory fragments. And the mind/soul would be the winged light we carry and give to the fallen in Eden.
This is a theory I am still putting together, though am starting to believe that the winged light are pieces of the Sky Prince/King scattered across the kingdom (since they are like fragments or a moment captured by time as devs have suggested, if I recall correctly).
Maybe Forest Mama grabs the light roughly because she knows we are descendants of the King's fragments and she's still so mad at the King
don't they wear the kings mask?
lol, maybe.
Or she is wise enough to know what that flame means and immediately took up that opportunity to be able to use her powers again.
She may be a follower since she is wearing a diamond shaped head piece, @orchid jolt .
The 3 in 1 philosophy is very interesting indeed! I think it relates to Sky quite well. Possibly one of those three could be pieces broken off of the King/Prince. Maybe the winged light located throughout the kingdoms are places that the King/Prince remembered very strongly in their mind, so much so that when they shattered, all of the remnants of the mind scattered to those places for the new Skykids to absorb as power. Maybe the reason why we’re able to do that is because of the Skykids being their own “reincarnations” of the King/Prince’s broken pieces.
Went snooping around in the forest temple because it's the one that has the most knickknacks among them all.
First two pics are a room, can't open the door at the end but I thought this was interesting even though we can't say much about it.
Last two pics are a manta sigil in the forest style and birds coming out of the... manta aviaries ? They probably didn't keep the gruesome concept of what they did to them in there, but maybe they kept light creatures in these cages to nonlethally extract light or something.
in concept art, skykids are referred to being 'hybrids,' and/or descendants.
IT might be possible that while in the old lore, the skykids could have been a hybrid of light creatures and ancestors/elders.
Perhaps in the current lore (theoretically), a skykid is a hybrid of an elder, the spirits (ancestors) and the King specifically.
I think that room is just a relic of the beta the devs kept in the game, similar to the old bird shirnes.
That room used to be a puzzle room 4 players could have opened to reveal the thinker spirit (thoughtful director). That spirit would have been in the main cast, though was instead moved to the season of rhythm and since appears in the prayer room of Vault of Knowledge.
Ohh, I like that! It lends into the theory of Skykids being a manufactured entity - created by the Megabird, perhaps, as a means to revive/heal the Kingdom - rather than natural beings. If the Megabird is all powerful then it would definitely have the power to combine Spirit, Body, and Soul of seperate parts into one whole Skykid.
In gaulish lore (continental celts) there's a notion of spirit separate from the mind and body as well; it's like life essence that's transferred from father to son. Lots of squeaky symbolism though but it's surprising how much celtic and indian mythos can be similar sometimes (like similar patterns in creation myths, bodily symbolism in gods and so on).
The number 3 is important in so many different religions and cultures and how it relates to one’s self. It’s really cool. (Father, Son, Holy spirit, for an obvious example.)
Man... the things we could have had... I want to delve deeper in the forest temple...
Forest Temple is my fave. I love burning the hell outta plants lol
Yes 🙂
In addition to be created by the megabird, the skykid is able to connect to every creature in the game since they share something in comon.
Which also brings to what the skykid purpose could be that they have to fill in the role that the King used to do. Which in my theories are that the king is like father time/death.
To briefly explain what I mean, since I am still working through the details before presenting the mega-theory.
The king is depicted to be a ferryman similar to dawn elder, who used to carry light/orbs while claiming the souls of creatures to bring to the megabird.
The king used to help spirits complete their ascension to orbit, though lost sight of his main role and instead focused on developing the civilisation of the ancestors, which brought on conflicts amongst both the elders and the ancestors, dividing everyone and everything. His greed for power grew so great he started to gate keep the ascension site (the holy place as suggested by the name, Eden).
This brought the wrath of the storm and judgement on the elders.
With the world falling apart and no one left to fix it, the megabird sends down skykids to unite the elders, save the spirits by helping them ascend (hence the role of wing buffs of spirits), and also bringing the winged light back to the fallen children of Eden (the statue kids).
Since the parts of the world is in a time loop that resets at certain times (ranging from the hourly events, to the daily candles and the weekly Eden reset). I believe that the King used to rule over time. But now he is stuck reliving his last moments, similar to the spirits used to relive their memories over and over until the skykids help them.
That is, at least what I have going on and think relates to the 3 in 1 topic.
ooh are you guys talking about forest lore?
One other place I recall used to be in Forest, is that closed off room in the cavern section of Forest, the part where the living whale is.
Let me find the images for it...
Don't hesitate to ask me to investigate some places for screenshots btw, I love that.
That’s an awesome way of looking at it Raider! I think I’ve subconsciously began collecting lore bits and tacking them onto my own interpretation very similarly to yours! I love the concept of time being involved, I haven’t really considered the resetting function as anything more than an in game mechanic, but I think being stuck in some sort of loop cycle makes a lot of sense. If Eden Elder ruled over Time then, what do you think the other Elders stood for, if they had a distinct kind of pantheon? Isle Elder to me seems like a traveler, associated with flight and rising higher; Praire feels to me like a protector of small Light creatures and even creator of them. Forest is creation, smithing specifically, but also just innovation in general. I could go on about the others for a while lol. Admittedly I am a little biased towards interpreting pantheons similar to the Grecco-Roman kind due to my own personal practices, but I’d love to learn more about whatever roles they each inhabited. (ack sorry for text wall)
I have good reason to think the Elders are kind of like gods; ancestors seem to have known about them before their fall (as the ones giving them their "infinite light" in the intro).
In that case, I don't think I took screenshots of it and also noticed TGC has been patching the holes in the terrain I used to weasel my way through, lol. Not that I am complaining, I am glad they are getting patched 🙂
When you enter the cavern and see the whale, head to the left and fly up to the light boi that is standing on the stone plinths or mini pillars. Beyond that gate is an empty room.
If you are able to OOB, head to the outside of that room and you will see fragmented remains of a boat, a jar and a set of stairs.
I have no clue what they used to be doing there, and it is clear they were assets that are partially deleted. Though either way, it is a curious find to most OOB players.
Recently acquired a tool...
It's going to be fun, I too need to know of the presence of boats here.
that roomuse to have, oh raider already answered it
I don't see a light boi on a stone plinth though, one of the two in the area are accessible indeed behind a gate but not on a plinth to the left, and the one on the left accessible via butterflies is not on a plinth.
You mean the green cave, right ?
the one where the birds are coming out
NOT the one with butterflies.
follow the birds to where they came from in that cavern. theres a third wl
call me stupid
no, i wont.
ey, it is absolutely cool to go with your own interpretation of the lore. There is little to no canon, which makes it fun to see what other people say and what conclusions you come up with.
Following your thoughts about the elders relating to the Roman pantheon and @rigid mural 's though of them being gods.
A headcanon I keep about the elders is that they are similar to demigods. Beings of divine nature, or are cosmic entities that rely on relics for power.
It is very likely that each elder specialised in something that each of their realms reflects, as well as contributes to other realms, which are, theoretically, as follows:
Dawn specialises in guidance and boats. Since that elder is now the ferryman to the skykids.
Daylight specialises in agriculture, or more so on the life of light creatures. The elder is able to create butterflies from light, hence why the ancestors used to gather light orbs to bring to the temple for more butterflies. It is also the realm with the most light creatures.
Forest specialises in Toolsmithing as the elder used to provide the ancestors the means to hunt, mine resources and gather materials. (there is even a concept art that shows that forest is the earliest realm to manufacture power diamonds from light/butterflies.
Valley focused on competitive events that showed off one's strength and talent (I like to think the twins are a mix between gladiators and professional athletes)
Wasteland specialises in military and industrialisation. A strict and structured realm that fell to ruin.
Vault focuses on gathering knowledge and maintaining it in an archive, or a trove. Personally, it reminds me of an Egyptian Tomb, or a Tower of Babel.
And While Eden is the more destroyed realm, I believe it used to be like a grand temple of all things sacred. Though since it is a place of death, it now serves as the final resting place for all life.
oh and if you want an interesting oob, go below the eden door. (the one in eden, not the vault one or the one at home). I can show u whats under it if u want
you mean the OOB to all the elders?
If so, be careful of the invisible plane under the floor, if you need help, feel free to ask.
I think demigods suits them Elders very well! Megabird, in whatever capacity it’s canon to current Sky lore, is the ultimate creator force after all, and clearly a tier above the Elders. They have their own set realms and roles and all come from the same place outside the Kingdom. I think you’re right about Eden being the most sacred place - it’s at the height of the world, therefor closer physically the sky/Orbit.
Speaking of OOB areas, if there’s secret places to find I’d really like to give it a go trying to hunt for them to see for myself, I just worry about accidentally breaking the game or messing up in a glitch lol
no, its an oob ive done before, and ive done the elder room to, im talking about the 10 wingedlight barrier, its just a cool oob i like so i thought i'd share it with someone who just got the chibi mask
i even managed to access the closet after doing the chibi fall so I got to change my mask for the oob lol
this is the one im talking about. its below the eden door (the one actually in eden). The barrier requires 10 winged lights to open which is especially odd considering you need 20 to get into eden anyway.
I got stuck to the door and had to close the game hhh
But the boat is still here, couldn't pass through to get a closer look tho but I got pictures of what little I could see !
aww, that is a shame
I might need to bring a friend to pull me out if that happens, but I will look into it when I have more tools or help
hey lore chat
invisible candle in wasteland
Here's what I got so far, I think I saw players on the other side that might have been the ones that placed the torch, but they disappeared when I honked at them.
But it's likely still possible to go through !
Yeah, megabird is the giver of life and light. And possibly also played a part of how the world ended up a mess (still working on the theory for it).
The reason on why Eden would have been the 'holiest' place is it is the highest realm aside from orbit, it has the largest and most detailed statues depicting the king as an elder in my opinion (some theorise the giant statues in Eden are of spirits or priests, I vivaciously disagree), and the how there is a shallow plane of water in the final area of Eden.
The use of water like that is similar to orbit and the old home space in the beta. It represents the place being sacred ground. And here is an image to further support this statement.
hey do, do you have the skychild hchart
this one?
no, like the different types of skychildren
one of the types is called indifferent i think
Ok, this one.
thank you!!
? you mean the flame in ark?
I think the “indifferent” marker is meant to show visually that an unlit skykid without light is meant to look neutral and apathetic, which lit skykids are visually more connected
I love concept charts like this, especially when it’s all about color representation and the games personal color language
I wished the new season could have been in that waterpump station ..
But NOPE
From what we can see it seems the incoming "aerial" season will be in Prairie
Again
I love birds, can't relate.
I agree on the statues, I mean I don't think of them being about priests pr scholars, I think they remind me more of the enturage of a king to proclaim and serve the king magnitude
That because they seems to have the same hat as the statues with horns of the triump stadium, so those of entourage triumphed him by carrying the diamond, which maybe is regal sign or the greatest achievement of king's reign, the discovery of the power diamonds
Lol, of courses you do, Articuno
But I just wished to see a more elaborated labyrinth area, and that seems the best place in a puzzlingly 3D articulated tunnels system
I'm trying to understand where this is
But maybe I'm to sleepy to put the pieces together by trailing back in the chat

beta update ?
leaked image of Sky 2: No More Flappin’ Around
they should make that for april fools and have it be a bad doom remake
While looking at my old moth days pictures I noticed how the Realms portals are divided in 2 sets of RGB
Only thing is the first 3 are in less vivid colors
Maybe there is a symbolism in that but I need to think this through
Isle purple though
Admitably that has red in it.
I'm not sure but I think this kind of "violent" content is not accepted by the rules of server.
This is a family friendly game, after all , if you can you could replace that with a water gun 🔫 just in case
Lmaooo
I see it more about the dawn red shift, the green is almost the same (but turning the meaning upsidedown, from flourish to perish)
While the 2 blues... To me they seems both about sadness
I got a friend to help me, sorry for the text boxes but I quickly fell off balance into the clouds. As you said, remnants of a boat, pots and stairs ! They're all more or less solid but I was careless and fell through.
I've suddenly realized, this old bug from one year ago...
It should be somehow the Journey Themed Skins (which I heard in a YouTube video by NastyMold, iirc) glitched out somehow..

I scrolled up and read a bunch of raiders posts and I'm mind blown lol
I've been trying to break down and study all the recurring scripts and symbols in the different realms, if it goes anywhere I'll post it here hehe
I call it waste processing plant
all that manta pulp has to get turned into plant food
Journey skin, in sanctuary?! Someone accidentally, uh, “summoned” it?
There are Journey skins???

Ye
Speaking of boats. In the left manta lighthouse in the prairie there is an invisible boat.
Huh ? Could you please elaborate ?
It’s an OOB, if you Chibi-glitch in that area you find an invisible boat
the only ones who were able to survive the storm was season of dreams, everyone in rhythm except
and bird call
Dreams: didn't have much diamond tech so the less diamond tech you have, the less darkness you get, also they have a good hiding spot
Rhythm: all of the spirits have good hiding spots, especially juggler, except
wasteland, especially graveyard when you're not a knight or experienced with graveyard
bird call: [BETA SPOIERS]
The og bird call you mean lol
yes.
I see beta spoilers written in chat but im too afraid to read it to see if any are actually there
Then why is there a beta spoilers there also I’m pretty sure none of them survived
No im too afraid of even hints. Scared of hints too. Running away now. Aaaaaaa.
Beta content needs to remain in the beta channels until it's released in live. Even saying beta spoilers in your post doesn't make it allowed
Ye thats why I’m saying is it the og bird call or the new one
as said above, please don't even reference beta content outside beta channels
the beta theories are in #880229805788917800
don't worry
Ahhh this bug
Shiny
Is it just me, or does this terrain feel like battle damage somehow? Like there was a bombing here or something.
heeey lore chat
, does anyone know the stated height of Skids/Elders/any single entity in Sky really? I remember hearing something about it before but can't seem to find it anymore
I heard they compared sky kid height to office tables and then to other characters and it turns out forest elder is 10ft tall.
Hi
hmm...
You may be on to something.
Let's see, what happens when one pairs up the colours of the orb from season of Enchantment to the portal colours:
Dawn - Purple ( it is faint though closest to purple)
Day - Yellow/orange (the colour is chosen through process of elimination)
Forest - cyan
Valley - Red
Wasteland - Green
Vault - Blue
Now, the location of the orbs do not line up with this, as seen here:
Dawn - cyan light
Day - Green light
Forest - Orange light
Valley - Blue light
Wasteland - Red light
Vault - Purple
While this may support the theory of the elders having mixed up their orbs, which resulted them getting the wrong abilities (such as the orange light burning the forest).
Though it feels like there is a detail missing here that explains why these colours reoccur and what the pattern is.
orange you glad I didn't say
Oh shush you!
That is bad timing and bad luck!
Hey did you see that ? It's still here @nimble ingot
I did and am glad you found it. 🙂
Table glitching works too but requires a partner.
I was trying to find any footage or evidence of that room.
Turns out when it first came out in November 2019, the diamond that would open the door could work. But around December, another update disabled that diamond with rubble blocking it and the what was in the room supposedly got cut.
Here are 2 videos that confirms this, though the older video unfortunately did not really check the room out 😦

I have to go so I can't discuss it at the moment, but I wanted to ask y'all what are your thoughts on the different realms being in the same timeframe/coexisting versus them representing different points in time both geographically and time-wise
They're clearly representations of the different stages of sky's civilisation but is there any evidence that they were contemporary with each other?
aw. ok. Hope you are doing well and would share it some other time.
The realms are very likely to exist in the same time frame, though seem to be in different stages of ruin and build styles.
There are spirit memories that has other spirits make an appearance, some of them include season spirits and spirits from different realms.
Examples include the Hermit's memory from season of dreams included a spirit form season of Rhythm and the cheering spirit from the main cast (non-season spirit), the slouching soldier from season of the little prince had spirits from golden wasteland.
So, it is very likely that the different realms knew of each other's existence though each one had their own way of living, which also suggests how the civilisation grew over time and fell.
AND A CANDLE AND POT WITH ONE PEICE OF WAX!!
There are spirit memories that has other spirits make an appearance, some of them include season spirits and spirits from different realms.
Huh ? I will be honest, with a lot of them being timed I seldom take the time to look, but I don't see many spirits interacting with others from other realms.
@queen locust I don't remember if it was you but we used to chat a lot in here lol would love it if you could shed some light on this oh wise one 😅
I think the 2nd theory is true, bec remember that realms represent different life stages: birth, childhood, teenage, adulthood, mid-life, old age and death. It also represent different times of day. So I think that when you travell you go through different age / time zones, but they coexist. Idk, that’s a good or bad theory, this is just what I think.
there's a spirit that appears in two separate spirit memories but doesn't have their own spirit memory for us to relive.
This spirit is in apologetic lumberjack's memory and the first spirit node of tearful light miner's memory. It seems to have a bag or something but other than the bag, it looks like the raised candle spirit and the manta whisperer, this seems to be the default look of a spirit.
Wait what, they’re back? :0
If they are, it’s been so long since I’ve last see them also so hallo :D
oh,they must have taken a looooong hiatus cause I have never seen them before (then again my memory is bad, memory whisper pls help me, so idk)
Yeah, long hiatus. Last time I saw them was like Jan-March or Feb I think
oh, then yeah that makes sense. I joined sky around january but not sure when i joined the discord or when i became an active member in lore
Cool, soooo what now
Now I have the new season spoiled for me by youtube thumbnails. Even if i dont click on it, I see the thumbnails! >:(
That sadge, but ye relatable (except its with a series instead of Sky)
And thus, chat got krilled.
I'm just clicking the 3 dots next to the title in my recommendations to say "Don't recommend posts from this channel" and hoping I forget what I saw
Lmao
the firepit in home is pink now
😁
?
Just seen the film « howl’s moving castle » and i’ve seen something interesting :
In this movie, shooting stars are spirits but they die fast when they touch the ground
Howl catch one of them and deals his heart for great power, but this power is actually dark and dangerous
At the end the spirit gets free and return to the sky, but he still able to visit his friends on earth
So what if it was the same on sky ?
Fallen stars arrived on sky, got picked up by poeples who became elders with powers and spirits, but they’re power got dangerous and killed everyone etc...
That’s DEEP
are sky kids are child spirits or small elders or just different species at all? What do you think?
In that theory skids might be another species between stars and elders
They fall from the sky at the beginning of the game so maybe it’s like a complete being, either concrete and connected to megabird
Devs stated skykids will not grow up to become elders, likely meaning they are different from eachother.
We are made of concrete
Makes sense
Same and even on accidental hovers it happens too.
It is a bit of shame to unsub and hide videos to avoid spoilers, which makes me wonder of the youtubers notice a dip in subs each time there is a wave of spoiler videos.
skykids are like the lost boys (or girls lol) of Neverland?
😆
I'd hate to have a Peter Pan case ngl, I wanna see grown sky kids. Do they stay airborne or are they too heavy to fly ? Would that be incentive to restore more boats if that's the case ?
- Honk *
So i bb moth, don’t know nothin’, not even abc. Are there any Lore explainer videos for someone that has been “there” and back? I wanna know history so I can be smart boi.
There's a doc with canon sky lore we know of through the game and what devs said, good place to start !
Keep in mind the rest is theories as the plot is vague on purpose so we get more freedom interpreting it.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/10ZWJRGiJSrIXgDvJ4pST61moZbVB_hBExUjOaF-pmOE/edit?usp=drivesdk
ye I figured since sky kids fell straight from the sky, as a new species most likely, they are probably purer and therefore more connected to megabird than the spirits and elders
the color scheme also points that out, since spirits and elders have mixtures of blue and white while sky kids have more whites and oranges
Spirits you gave ascended candles to take on warmer tones though.
oh mai really?
never noticed, lol interesting.
As we give ac to spirits, maybe that aids them in getting purer, taking in more light rather than dark, aka blue which is a big symbol for evil and sadness in the game
Maybe, ac is pure light of megabird, we give them this light to make them connect to megabird and then they give back the wl(their energy/soul to live in the realms ) cause now they don’t need it
yessssss, wow that makes a lot of sense
yah, ive been clicking the 3 dots next to the videos on my recomendations and saying dont recomend videos from this channel.
Ive been dming some of the sky youtubers about this tho
People who bought the dev cape looking at themselves like
When someone with the beta cape lets you into the office:
pffffffffffft
That is very likely the case. 🙂
You can only get ascended candles (AC) from light kids (what I call the glowing skykids you save in Eden, ascend with and meet orbit before rising further up to join the stars).
So the candles are more pure and sacred than normal white candles. With these candles you are able to unlock higher levels of friendship with fellow skykids and spirits.
Once a spirit accepts an ascended candle, they change colour from blue to a golden colour, as @rigid mural said.
I haven't thought of it like that, though @jovial wolf may be right about the AC being a reward from Megabird with which skykids can help spirits and give to friends.
Once a spirit becomes an ascended spirit, they will be in Orbit to give you an extra winged light (wing buff) that will allow you to fly farther, higher and able to withstand more damage before losing your light.
hmm... Just want to add a final thought
What if Orbit is not the final destination?
Orbit means a path around a celestial body (such as the moon's orbit around the earth, or earth's orbit that revolves around the sun).
Since the megabird is still above us, as it always was throughout the game; that and the elders are called down to us, could mean that either Orbit is just he lowest 'layer' of heaven and the elders and megabird are higher up still. Or Orbit is just the border inbetween the after life and the mortal world which skykids can still return to the world and be reborn.
This is all part of the 'mega thoery' I am working on. Instead of rambling on this channel to death, I would rather compile it in notes and then bring up parts of it that are solid.
hi, i'd like to discuss a theory that i came up with (it doesn't have any evidence, just speculation)
Hm, Go on Tell us
Good to know, I get they do that for content. And some are nice enough to put 'spoiler' on the titles.
But that wont help if their watcher were to look at the thumbnail, see a preview.
so if anyone here has played/heard of cloud (old tgc game) the story is that there's a kid daydreaming in a hospital. what if sky is actually a collective daydream of a bunch of people in a hospital? does that make sense
Now thats a pain in the head
the game is everyone's last thoughts as the world ends or something and three all melt into one hivemind as their brains die out
Perhaps, or find themselves in a state or place where they are all aware of each other?
(;;;・_・)
sorry i come in here every few months with some crackpot theory, destroy the channel and vanish again lmao
EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING
ey, no need to apologise 🙂
Variety is the spice of life. And besides, what if one of them opens up a new theory no one though about?
You did say it is not a theory, but speculation, so there is no need to judge, just discuss.
maybe it's something similar to how in some beliefs, you're reunited with your loved ones after death. as the world ends and everyone's souls leave their bodies they all meet each other as they travel through the world of sky and into orbit
I've been trying to find a way to play it but i just can't figure it out....
same, i've just seen videos and heard stories
like, ive found the website but it seems like it ran on flash
oof
actually, it has a download page but i cant figure out how to work it
Here's the website:
http://interactive.usc.edu/projects/cloud/game.htm
i'll check it out, we might be getting a bit off topic tho
Hey uhhhh, question time, have someone already responded tô the theory of the Krills actually being corrupted Elder mantas?
as in a staff answer, or people in this channel?
yo was this scratch always here
sorry but is there allowed to talk about quests from beta? (I got really confused about spirit interaction with players)
beta content is best discussed on the beta channels.
If it is in the live version of the game, then it is ok.
Ok then gonna ask withput mentioning new season staff. So spirits. season spirits in quests and spirits. Game says to reveiw spirits MEMORY but in quests we literaly interact with them, they see us, give us proper hugs and even try to beat us? Like how it's work?
Personally, I really hate the “and everything was all a dream of somebody in a coma/dying,” like that Pokémon theory about Ash Ketchum. It feels like a cop out a lot of the times, I honestly don’t remember seeing it done well ever. It’s very clear that death, rebirth, and the afterlife are very heavily incorporated into the whole world of Sky, though, so I understand why the trope might come to mind.
ok sorry
Oh no, no need to apologize! It’s a very reasonable speculation to have imo, and I’m glad you brought it up when you had the thought to. Even discussing speculations or theories I personally wouldnt agree with is all apart of having a theory crafting channel!
ok, I did spot some mentions about that in updates, though cannot discuss them here, nor am I certain what they are exactly because I am not in beta. Hopefully someone here can help with that.
Lorewise, the change to interacting spirits is an interesting detail.
Why so, it s because in the current live version of the game, the quests started focusing more on different spirits memories from multiple realms as well as in and out of season.
This is either the devs changing the story to include how the spirits are more aware of their surroundings than being stuck in their memories.
Or it is actual progress made by skykids!
Because the more skykids interact with the spirits, the more their friendship grows with them (as seen with season of assembly's season guide), and how an update allowed spirits to start looking at skykids. So, in turn, since the spirits are becoming more 'lucid,' with a lack of a better description, it means that the spirits that are not trapped reliving their memories are no longer stuck in the time loop.
At least in theory, lol.
so we’re like bringing their feelings back???
This is a good wholesome theory, I love it.
Perhaps sky kids may be stuck repeating the same tasks, but a spirit, a candle at a time, they are breathing life back to the world.
And honestly, Vault is somewhat implied to be some kind of dream/hallucination, potentially like a coma now that I think about it. So you wouldn’t be far off to assume. The way that the skykid wakes up from the Vault Elder cutscene in a decimated, broken down chamber resembling the Vault’s lower floor, I kind of wonder now if the transition goes like this:
Skykid enters the Vault through the opening at the end of GW, they travel “down” to the Vault’s first chamber. Upon walking into it, the Skykid is overcome with some sort of force, possibly related to the Vault’s collection of power diamonds filled with “knowledge”/dreams, and they fall into a trance. While in that trance, they experience the Vault how it is in the game, moving up the different chambers to the Elder’s shrine. They only “wake up” out of the trance after restoring the Elder’s light, and find themselves in the same sort of destroyed chamber without any trance of mantas, stars, and floaty stuff. What do we think about that?
I figured the deterioration of the area was a metaphor for dementia as one ages into death and the final area was like the shock of realizing your fate once it’s too late
welp good for them, let's hope so and hug da assembly director properly, I kinda hope that season gonna go more into lore or actually show that sky kid not only learning from mistakes of the past and do some star staff but actually start to do something with Earth, or at least it remainings. Reborning and stars does not help to fix anything we have take it in our hands , we sendet from stars to help, we stuck in cycle, but we anyway will try tofix that can be fixed
It’s a very jarring shift from the rest of the Vault. I got shivers the first time I went through it. The way that there’s no music at all in that final chamber and the Power Diamond is broken in the center was almost dizzying. Very much like waking up from a real dream to a much harsher reality.
reminds me of the areas before boss fights in new super mario bros wii where it’s dead silent after a level of loud music and noises
It is not out of the question that Sky has references to other games by ThatGameCompany.
Using your speculation of Cloud's meaning applied to sky as a starting point, @hoary violet.
Sky is a game that is like an artwork, in my opinion. As such, I like to think it may have drawn inspiration from a lot of sources, which can include other games by the company.
Games like the following:
Cloud was the first game (that I know of) that featured a young protagonist flying amongst the clouds, which is pretty much similar to what a skykid is in the game.
Flow focused on aquatic animals in a cycling ecosystem, which is similar to how the light creatures in sky are with them being based on aquatic animals, and their design becoming more elaborate the more evolved a creature is.
Flower is a game that allowed the player to explore the environment and craft a story based on it, which is reminiscent to how sky does not outright tell the story to players, though allow them to draw their own interpretations from it and the character that inhabit it.
The Journey being the precursor of Sky, lend a lot of inspiration and influence!
Even though one can see how each game, and even other sources such as The Little Prince, influenced the look and potential lore of the game. These would mostly be theoretical lore that can be used as guide to what the plausible lore of the game could be. That or it was what I am doing with analysing the game.
yeah I think if we take what we know about other pieces of related media we can use it to fill in some of the gaps
I like to think the vault really is that big but you're in a semi-trance (gotta bring those memory diamonds) the whole elevator lift. Meeting the elder was probably enough to forget you didn't reach the topmost level yet...
maybe the elder wipes your memory or something and casts you into purgatory
But in any case, wasn't there a concept of sky being a world litterally in the clouds of our world & sky kids being souls that came from or will be sent to earth ?
If you think about it, the vault is almost like ascension but at the end it snaps you back to cold reality. then you need to fight through eden to truly ascend. does that mean anything?
Vault looks like when you readjust your papers before reading the conclusion of an essay.
Vault is the beginning of the end, reminiscent of the past levels and leading you to the final one. As a player, you feel your journey come to an end.
It is nice how each season introduces a new side to the game.
Enchantment was the first to have a guide that stayed behind
Sanctuary showed how light creatures live
Prophecy told about how the sky Prince became the king (theoretically)
Dreams showed how the spirits had aspirations (the skater girl able to prepare to be a champion figure skater)
Assembly showed how spirits cared for each other (as seen how the guide can be befriended like a skykid)
And Little prince (even though it is a collab) showed the game has connections outside of the game, as in, one can use other stories to draw connections with the game (ex. peter pan, icarus, king midas, Ozymandias, and more).
Let me know if you figure it out pls!
Oh absolutely, I feel like it’s a combination. Or! Since the Vault has such a heavy theme of meditation with all of the spirits; perhaps the dreamlike Vault we experience is the Skykid falling into a meditation state. I also like to think the Vault is physically very big - it would kinda have to be, wouldnt it? - so I have an image in my head of the Skykid moving through the Vault physically just as they do in the game by flying, jumping, and lighting up the elevator, but in the physical world it all looks like the last chamber before the Eden door. Through the Skykid’s own ability to meditate + the possible latent power of the Vault itself, they are able to move between the two versions of the Vault as if it was one, up until they finally meet the Elder (and all the other Elders who show up), and after that the meditation is cut off, leaving them aware of the physical ruins around them.
skykids aren’t human, we need to remember that their “minds” might operate differently than ours and they can see things that aren’t explainable to us
I’ll just straight up drop the M word: It’s basically like magic. If anyone’s familiar with DnD and the concepts of different planes of existence stacked on top of eachother, that’s sort of how I’m imagining it.
If we think about it, are chat benches truly Canon?
M A G I C
it's kinda funny to me to image that there is a lot of kid species into space (yeah yeah prince is on very lory) but I kinda adore idea of a lot cosmo kids. But about lore part I just confused again, like humans doesn't seems nature evil guys, sancutary ones cares about mantas and jelly fish, teens from assembly doesn'y fight, it doesn't seems that humans have war and staff like that, the how everything go so messed up? if they good?
Exactly ! Perhaps the Vault Elder doesn't teleport us, but simply ends the meditation after showing the meaning of the constellations and the gratitude of the elders.
Like, I would say they are canonically there, but the whole being able to communicate in words, is that part Canon?
the candle links their minds with magic
btw one npc kid mentioned that they 84 old , so sky kids is a name of species. Change my mind
Which kid npc ???
ehe
, there is not allowed to say spoilers so I can't tell
Chat items don't have those handle candles. And the sky kids would need to have the concept of language first.
handle candles???
also gtg
The Vault Elder probably has a large hand in allowing the trance to take place; perhaps it’s through their will that the Skykid is able to access it so seamlessly that they don’t even realize until the end. That’s not to say that all of Vault is just some kind of hallucination that doesn’t really happen: It does happen, but the events occur in one “plane” of existence accessible via meditation/power diamonds/whatever kind of knowledge the Vault keeps (which I think is implied to be pretty magical, considering the spirits were learning how to levitate and things like that). Meditation, on its own, is basically a form of ritual work - some might call it magic.
I think the chat function is primarily a game mechanic, but I also think it’s pretty clear that there is a form of language and communication between them. I mean, the ability to emote are a language itself, it’s just not a fully verbal language persay. Considering the only Skykids are the players, as in there isn’t a Skykid npc we can draw lore details from in how they act, all we really get to gauge is how the players are able to communicate with eachother.
Also typed communication is probably limited in the game so as to avoid griefers/spammers/hostility
hey, umm could you avoid referencing things in beta pls? I have also made that mistake before. I just want to especially avoid spoilers for the upcoming season and upcoming events
yes, i agree with that, its just the whole chat table not canonically working with the sky kids sitting down just popped into my head and clicked
sorry ._. just kinda already to talk about lore parts in beta, but in beta chats it's unpopular I guess
i understand, i have done the same before. It's exciting but i just really wanna avoid spoilers lol
Well, it could be canon! I think it’s possible that Skykids are capable of talking verbally to eachother. It really depends on how you want to interpret it. I personally headcanon that lots of the Skykid’s language is through nonverbal signing and actions like the emotes, but they are able to talk to eachother as well. Maybe Skykid language just sounds like honks to our human ears
oki, sorry again
well I think that candles is sort of their translators and connectors, actually maybe sky kids see everyone shining or gray (mapbe even spirirts, like we never see from kid's pow), candle also can be focus their eyes on object they light on, and only after it they can regonise the dead ones , other kiddos, but the light creatures have no need to light them up, they shine enough to kids to regonise them
Ya know @nimble ingot latest theory mentioned the 3 to 1 concept which made me think “what is the sky child religion?”
(I’m going to try to explain this in different sections to help explain this a bit)
Head Coverings
As you can clearly see, some religions prefer to cover their hair/face (I am specifically talking about Islam). Sky kids clearly wear masks (I’ll get to the black/no mask in a sec) usually in Islam the head coverings that most women wear cover all of the head except for the eyes, which sky kids also have their eye region exposed!
The Black/No mask could represent a sky kid that does not follow the common sky religion therefore not wearing a head covering.
Candles
Some religions (talking about Orthodox and Catholic) use candles to represent The light of their God or are used in special ceremonies or events. Candles are also a big part in sky and so is “The Light” (so big that you should just search up “Candles in religions”). But one thing that really stands out to me is that some religions sell candles to help the church and in sky you purchase things with candles.
Daily light and pray
This may be stretching it a LOT but… when you leave the game open overnight and your sky kid falls asleep or you keep playing, when ever you go back into the game or the reset happens your sky kids daily light will visibly reset and when that happens the sky kid automatically uses the “pray” emote. So your Daily Light resets when you Pray which praying is a big part in most religions and so is Light/The good
If you notice anything i missed or didn’t think about feel free to let me know because this is just the cupcake and there is plenty of frosting to go on top!
oh yeah, Sky lore is like a cake with LAYERS. @forest kayak
You can also look at Spanish culture that commemorated the dead. They also had an affinity with candles in their prayers.
In catholic and some christian traditions use prayer candles to either symbolise the body of christ, or represent purity and light; which are represented by a red candle (body) and white respectively.
Even in Spanish tradition, a white candle represents wealth.
Feel free to do research to see what more can relate to sky. 🙂
There was one thing that I couldn’t really grab hold of was afterlife because of all the contrasting beliefs but the biggest thing that I found that related to sky’s afterlife was Hinduism (dies and re incarnates according what I have read)
ey yo. I may have found something not sure if it has been seen before though.
@pseudo heart , have you done a boat that has a turret?
There is a broken one hidden in shipwreck and it looks a lot like this >>>
https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5cf9836e9d1c5200018df596/1582059413798-39MQHNLEPLB0SGLX9TTO/133h_Sky.jpg
it could be a tower that got moved over with a plane, though. any thoughts?
second picture, thing that looks sorta like the king
would it apply though to a creation designed to die and return?
The game might not be fully committed to one religions standards, though would possibly share in some of their values to refer to their meanings.
to me it looks more like the top of valley temple (the golden top)
a boat that has a king turret on it.
Ah yes see it
If anything, it just looks like more of the building wreckages around shipwreck
I'll look into it in a bit
Forgot to add, where I saw this was near the wind tunnel that take you from graveyard to the shipwreck.
Hallo, what’s the topic?
I hear king turret, where is it
Guys where talking about vault being a dream or a meditation : but what about the zone on the right after the entrance (where there is the purple light) ? The space is bend as the upper stages of vault but it doesn’t seems to be a dream
been poking around wasteland after thinking the shipwreck might have power diamonds underneath, but could not get under the water.
Then spotted this near the wind tunnel that reminded of the old concept art of king turrets on boats.
it is the archive.
I heard it might have just degraded or got ruined enough to let skykids explore it, but since we dont know how the cubes work, or know how many chamber there really are, the archives are mostly a separate section to explore, nab candles and winged light, and even a spirit memory of an potential explorer.
frog
Yes but i was talking about the theory of vault being a dream when you go to upper stages
The physics in archive are really disturbed as well, is it a dream too?
It may be part of the physical area of vault and the higher you go, the more dream like it becomes.
What makes me really wonder though is how the end space in vault is either the thundering room right before entering Eden through Vault. Or the area with all the thrones, which you see another version of it on your way to Orbit from Eden.
Would it be possible that the Vault elder is projecting a part of Eden's temple?
Each temple to an elder is unique, which begs the reason why the destroyed temple seen while ascend in Eden is similar to the one in Vault.
One thought is that area used to be part of Vault that got swept up by the storm. Another is Vault's temple is completely destroyed so uses a dream like replica of it. Or Vault is using a recreated version of the Eden temple to prepare they skykid for the next area.
(my head is mush, so will check back in a few hours. 💤 )
What’s the topic? 🧍
“also have their eye region exposed” I mean how are they supposed to see
Chat got krilled
Yes
Just a fun screenshot of the doorway to Isle Elder’s shrine with a detail I didn’t notice before. Pretty sure the king is in the middle, and he’s got four people on his sides. I originally thought that it was a depiction of the King and all the elders but the other things on the sides seem to be gateways. Maybe the way the boat lock rises up to the King represents the Ferryman aspect of the Isle Elder and how he helps all ascend up the kingdom?
Random 2pm thoughts : elder fell in the realms cause their light disconnected from megabird
They tried to create a new link between them sort of artificial megabird but they got only a big beam that connect to orbit (eden) and unable to find the way alone so we help them
Goodnighr
That’s interesting
Ye
Fun fact, this actually appears in eden
It's the door to the area of Eden with krill
Ooooh!
Hello people. I dont really stay online on this server but i wanted to share this image even if i dont know if someone already saw that and already talked here but i wanted to share it. Me and my friend some days ago were going on eden and she was trying to fly Through the wind but we ended up in some ways on the wall for the door to open for enter eden and we noticed for first time this building and we were like "what is that?"
Just wanted to share this image maybe there are some theories for the lore ^^'
hey, can somone tell me a theory for the battlefeild, like, what was the fight about?
Oh that! I think that was Bault
Two Shields Theory was basically like:
There were 2 groups, 1 opposed the diamonds since diamonds are made by squishing light creatures and the other like he diamonds because of how advance the kingdom become and supported it. So they went to war, with GW elder being on the diamond side (tho he later switched to the other after seeing that diamonds are horrible)
The battle ended up in a stalemate probably because nobody won or everyone died before the war could end or krills was like ‘bonjour’
the last krispy kreme donut box
i understand😔

But then, you’re not wrong
My theory is that it was a fight between king’s army and the light creatures(which is krill now except the few in eden) for corrupting the wasteland and taking away the creature’s light with those energy stone thing (which you can still see left in the forest mama’s home)and the fight was raging at wasteland full of toxic stuff(even back then. Seeing the concept art with the spirits not still alive but full of factory and corrupted land) and then some sort of explosion? to make the stars fall and the megabird to stop trusting the king and elders and the creatures to corrupt and be krills. Lmao writing them down make them look more werid
I have a theory based on the beginning dialogue of the game. The game tells you the spirits that lived before the sky children used to live off of the energy from the stars. Somehow the stars began to lose their light and with that came the darkness (krill, crabs, spirits trapped in bodies of stone, and maybe even the forming of Eden?) My theory is that the battle ground was a frequent battle between light and dark (before that idk) but as you see in the end the dark won and you can see the skeleton of the kingdoms and temples around the area. Just my idea. (:
megabird?
something irrelevant and not important
Sort of a god. Iemme find some concept arts
Tadaa that octopus kind of thing is megabird
ooooooo
Forgive me if the question is silly but is that in the game? It’s a very interesting concept O:
megabread, primordial gluten
Ooh it is not really an big source in the game but you can see one in the sky of orbit!
Ye it is
I just realized that there’s the Elder models there, huh
Ohhh I thought those were just clusters of stars
its either u see a weird looking onion or a kingpin headed bird
I mean, it depends- some people see them as a cluster of stars or the name of the universe Sky is in or the god of sky
Still a cool idea tho
Ye and I really like the idea that the souls that fell from sky world went to human world
Kind of how the Starseeds in Magick works which is basically that we all came from faraway galaxies from different star systems and starseeds(us) were sent to Earth to answer a cry of help, and once we accomplish our task we return back to the stars and answer another call from a different world.
That does make me think... how does the Home area fit, lore wise? It might simply be another example of gameplay and story segregation, but it’s an interesting place. Was it made specifically for the Skids, or did the Ancestors or Elders use the little island for something?
Thats interesting to think about🤔
since this isn't yet in live, it's best not to discuss it at this time here
beta stays in beta, even with spoiler tags
I kinda want a season about what the realms used to looks like that would be fun and more lore to discuss
I want a season in the GW, I know there was one already but I feel like it's a big enough area they could do a lot more with it. (plus I wasn't playing when that season happened)
Cause we see how impacted the realm was by whatever war or fallout happened, I want to know more! I crave knowledge!
I always thought that long big manta in valut of knowledge higher floor could be "not corrupted" krill
You know that Elder mantas existia OUTSIDE the Vault right?
Ye, Sanc
Understanding what @rain lance means, I used to call the cosmic manta (as the wiki calls it) a space whale.
What makes things a bit uncertain is how the cosmic manta has a unique design and no living counterpart that matches the design, even the elder manta in sanctuary is not exactly the same.
Mantas (cosmic ones included) have a lot of diversity.
There's one thing that buggs me. "Darkness will try to take a light from you" ©Sky lore document. In each meeting with elder we basically give them flame(aka light). So what if elders are creatures of darkness, but self-awarene and less dangerous than krills who NOT ACCEPT light lifeforms?
I meaan, I see elders like neutral creatures
just want to add into the comment of what this is:
the wiki may call it an elder spirit manta, though it does not exactly match the living elder manta in sanctuary island. Even if the cosmic light creature existed long before the sanctuary elder manta, they are still different in design.
The wiki also calls light blooms, fungi.
https://sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/Creatures
So, the wiki might not be the ideal source for research purposes unless it has viable sources to support the facts.
the wiki is moderated by tara, not the devs
Another random thought. Venus has Cupid. Christian god has angels (those are sometimes portrayed as winged genderless kids). What if sky kids are "angels" of local diety(Idk Elders or Megabird itself)?
lol, sky kids being angels, @cloud yoke
I did not know Tara was moderating the page, thanks @orchid jolt
well now I'm excitedly waiting in anticipation of your mega theory hehe I'm also kinda working on a big lore project, compiling all the solid evidence and data that I can before coming to any conclusions lol it's gonna take a while
I'd think that homespace is probably, created maybe by the megabird or someone else idk but since the Sky kids would need an easy way to get from place to place (having been maybe sent down to the sky by megabird) homespace was likely created solely for the purpose of giving the Sky kids easy access, since it wouldn't have existed otherwise
A tiny island with portal to other realms doesn't occur naturally ya know what I mean? lol it was clearly constructed for the purpose of practicality and ease of access
? you guys don't have those?
is that why people take the bus? I always thought that was odd...
y'all noticed the Isle Elder is the only face that isn't on the eden door? 👀
also the only elder to have his mask destroyed.
I noticed I few things lol, on the realm gates, the isle elder is the only face carved with a diamond on his head
Sky kids have diamonds on their heads too 👀 , it could be a symbol of enlightenment or purity even though in most cases the diamond represents destruction and whatnot throughout the game
however, not the only elder to have their mask damaged
the reason I think that is cuz, in vault, the elder's have a conference room, the chairs are huge and there just so happen to be 6 of them , one for each elder, and one of the chairs was tipped over, as if one of them stormed off upset or smthn
of course, other elders meditation shrines often have the diamonds in their forehead, and then the vault/eden shrine with all of the elder shines is also different in what elders have the forehead diamond i think
I think that maybe when the king was coming up with all these diamond plans and machines, all the elders agreed with his plan except the isle elder, and he said it was a bad idea but they all got into an argument or something and the isle elder stormed off. They most likely disowned him, saying he wasn't one of them anymore, and thus was excluded from being represented on the eden gate
the valley shrine doesnt have the diamond (though since there are two faces in the shrine it would be kinda hard)
The carvings on the thrones do look simplified compared to the elders.
Did a quick search and notice that other elders like Daylight Prairie, Forest, Golden Wasteland and Vault have diamonds on their masks too.
I just meant on the realm gates, they may have been constructed post-break, so maybe they were trying to use his symbol against him
also in the gw battlefield, right before the temple, there are lots of shields everywhere, and some of them have star symbols on them, while others have diamonds, indicating that there were in fact two sides opposing each other, and we know that whoever fought for the temple had the star symbol, most likely gw elder, since the elder shrine in gw has the star symbol shield held up against the statue
Wait that was a conference room? I thought that was a dinner table or something
by process of elimination it would only make sense that the diamond side was the king's army, solidifying the diamond as an evil symbol
so maybe I'm wrong and the isle elder could've sided with the king and that could've been what caused the break. The first thought that the rest of the elders sided with the king and the isle elder refused makes more sense though, with the common thought that the elders were corrupted too at some point, or deceived
I don't think diamonds are a symbol of the "bad side" though. Going with what most theories suggest, no one really ever had malicious intent. They just made irreversible damage to the kingdom. I believe that diamonds are neutral, meant to symbolize power.
The Isle elder siding with the king also does has some ground. I've read somewhere in the lore docs he was the main guardian of the king
sky kids also have the diamond
lol the sky kids having diamonds is what confuses me the most, it most likely is a symbol of power then, I'm just saying that in the context of the war, the king's side was most likely the shields with the diamonds. It makes more sense for the diamond to be a neutral symbol, since it is found in both good and bad places
but like people do all the time, they use symbols to represent the wrong things
That.
perhaps, though you are right that the elders did seem to have different opinions since some had clear diamond symbols on them, others had the sun/star, and others were neutral.
If I recall correctly, there was an interview where staff mentioned that the elders sort of the anti-heroes of the story, characters that used to be good, made a mistake and then have to make things right.
I would not exclude the spirits/ancestors from wrong doing as they may have played a part in the world falling apart.
All things considered, there could be possibly 3 factions. The diamonds that is the king, the star/sun (or even a flame/light) that could be the megabird, and there are the neutral party that included the spirits that do not have clear indications of being part of the first two factions. At least, in theory that is.
I think the same honestly the elders and even the king all most likely had good intentions for the kingdom in creating this technology, but they let it get too far and didn't realize their mistake til it was too late
as much as I don't want to leave I gotta go eat breakfast lol have fun theorizing
Hi folks, I am browsing the channel for popular theories here.
If anyone wants to share a theory topic, or mention a topic you remember discussed here, please reply.
You dont have to mention who brought it up, just the topic.
wax being a lesser light creature
Here's a dumb theory I made as a joke:

#lore-discussion-spoilers message
Goodness, thanks @orchid jolt

no problem lol
Halloooo, what’s the topic?
being on the lookout for theories to include in my notes.
I'll look them up myself, though wanted to know which ones are popular at the moment.
Ohhhh, most of the theories that are popular nowadays are usually like December-March
Or the Theory Bault cause that also contains popular theories and I have more docs about theories if u want
Anyway, do you need some uhh more theory docs? Cause I have a bunch of them I think
Mmm I might wanna start posting theories here after the next season comes I cant say any beta spoiler theories unfortunately
Edit: Also what is with that Slowmode-
Hey I recall @orchid jolt said it frustrated them that light was considered "good" with dark seen as "evil" and it made me think because that's definitely not the vibes I got when I played; darkness is most notably in places where misery and negative feelings are felt (I mean, they are in prairie which is overall joyful, but you can't have a perfect life either).
And I offered that maybe darkness is a kind of symbol for things like sadness, anger and bitterness which are normal emotions to feel & can give you some wisdom (hence the light you get from darkness plants). Krills and crabs could represent negativity that truly is harmful like depression and anxiety (who, using the language used with these creatures, are corrupted versions of our instincts such as a need to be socially included).
But then, where does it come from ? Well my theory is that it's the ancestors feelings, that we feel the same way we feel their memories. After all, we find their bodies encased in dark dust, so... maybe it crystallized their feelings with them.
Ye same, I remembered in concept arts about if there’s a lot of darkness, something bad happened there (like sadness, deaths, anger, etc.)
Ooohhh like a manifestation of negativity! Like how clouds are a manifestation of light, but there should be more to it.. I feel like something is missing I just cant put my finger on it
Without feeling sad or lonely ourselves at least once in our lives, how are we expected to relate to those of us that need help ? That's why having only light can also impede you, because you're only adapted to a specific setting – one without darkness. Light is not bad per se, but like having minmaxed stats, it makes you less flexible when it's the only thing you experience.
_ _
I feel like while you got a taste of it in Prairie, Forest is the first level where you're confronted to darkness in a way that encourages you to seek the help of other players too.
It's among one of my favorite levels because that's where you understand that something went wrong.
That you're new light in a scarred but healing world that hasn't known it for centuries, at least not in your shape.
So here is part 2 of “what is sky religion” (soon I might just make a google doc)
Temples
So after you complete almost every realm you arrive at the temple, temples are a big part in many religions where you pray or meditate to the god/gods of the temples religion. In sky you in a way meditate at the temples which may signal that sky kids see the elders as a god.
Afterlife/Rebirth
So This was hard for me to figure out but I believe the religion that best fits this is Hinduism or Buddhism. Except that the Karma that may make your reincarnation have consequences takes place in eden instead of your life. Where you would give more light you get more AC therefore having a good life with ya wing buffs.
Pt one is here #lore-discussion-spoilers message
hmm.. I like your thinking.
Forest is also where the skykids face a form of darkness that they cannot simply burn away.
The rain may be a natural phenomenon, though the cause of the polluted rain is something beyond the means for a skykid to just fix.
beta spoilers are not allowed in lore, sry.
oh they changed rules
You could always spoiler it and say that its a beta spoiler, i'll give an example in my next message (it wont be from beta but its just an example)
Edit: I'm wrong
got it got it
Beta spoiler: ||a royal visitor is coming to sky, but its not the prince from concept art||
(the part saying beta spoiler included in the message, separate from the part being hidden.)
yep know that just didnt know beta contents arent allowed here anymore
its ok, we've made that mistake before. I've made the mistake a bunch of times lol
I know and I am disappointed >:(
haha, yeah
no, ZERO beta content outside of beta channels. not even behind spoiler tags. youve been told this before, ameoba
beta content has never been allowed outside of beta channels. this has been the case for over a year.
ok, ok. at least i was semi enforcing it lol
i'll do better when enforcing it from now on
frog
Anyone know who Daleth is? Wrong answers only.
Mushroom hair twin, apparently
its something the asian fandom came up with, mainly SEA and japan
ah
Fun fact: my secondary answer was Old Man Consequences
Why?
Idk man it was the first thing I thought of
you better not bring FNAF into this, please. 😅
Your pfp is blue, which is close to purple. Your sus m8.
given it looks like a certain elder, your suspicions may be on point
pls noooo
Your the man behind the slaughter.
the moth behind the slaughter*
ANYWAYS, BACK ON TOPIC --
Yoooo, what do u think dragons look like in this game
nightmare fuel.
What separates the moths from the psycho kids
Huh
There ARE dragons in Sky.
Dark dragons

Another question, what would you think the design for the boss rooms would look like? You know how the game was gonna have boss battles.
THATS A CRUSTACEAN NOT A DRAGON
I want better dragons
Yes like Daleth, which is a wyvern but is a beautiful design
not according to daily quests and in game references, lol.
though agree with @hushed steeple, adding a different type of dragon would be cool.
What if he could still turn INTO the wyvern?
Like rhythm QG theory
Maybe a creature of light that gets reborn an ancestor can idk
Headcanon that a bunch of the memory cubes in vault are actually just for showing off creatures
Huh
I just like more creature designs.
THAT PURPLE ONE LOOKS LIKE NESSIE
frog
What
can someone explain what it means when people say sky represents the phases of life? i don't know much about the lore
each realm represents a stage in life.
Dawn is birth, Daylight is childhood, Forest is Adolescence (teenage years), Valley is adulthood, Wasteland is mid-life, Vault is old age and Eden is Death.
You can see a chart of it in the office. I'll see if the chart is still around...
(Could not find it :/ )
tysm!! that's so cool, i wanna visit the office sometime i've only been once
maybe you can check it out when the next event starts up and opens office 🙂
😮😮
frogerrinos
It makes sense especially when you progress with wls
yup, each realm aslo has a theme that follows the stage of development in civilisation.
From Primitive, to the advanced, you see how the structures become more intricate and more dependent on technology.
Sky lore concept art is like the perfect chip in a can of pringles
the realms also represent different parts of the day
I'm a noob with this lore stuff. Were krills once light creatures?
yes, confirmed by devs that they are corrupted light creatures.
no, its confirmed that they're corrupted, not what they were before corruption
I mean, everything in the game is about light, so I would assume so
yes, are corrupted.
As in, they used to be creatures of light, but now the ones we see are corrupted.
Though thanks for clarifying 🙂
they specifically said something about not confirming what it was before.
also, dust-free crabs aren't light creatures but rather neutral. so its possible krill were neutral before (heck its even possible they were still dark creatures but were corrupted by an overabundance of darkness)
I wanna know how GW looked before...heck all realms that is.
no, they NEVER said they were light creatures.
I think my "Vault is a journey through a ruined temple that Skykid meditates to another plane of existence to witness it all as it is in the game with the help of the Elder/power stones and the meditation ends leaving them in the broken down room leading to Eden" theory is pretty fun, I had fun thinking about it!
Not sure if I can grab a link right now specifically but its not very far back
#lore-discussion-spoilers message
Krill must be also be some type of corrupted light creature
you do realize that that is not a dev, and uncorrupted crabs are not light creatures
would a mod be close enough?
I am looking for the live stream to make sure.
Just want to be sure.
But why do they have the urge to attack like the krills when krills are corrupted? Whereas everything else that is light doesn't (of course). And do we know those uncorrupted crabs are uncorrupted?
we know those crabs are uncorrupted,no dark dust is on them and they dont charge us
Ah, ok.
Thanks for the link 🙂
Now I am looking for any mention of a dark dragon being once a light creature.
Could not find the exact statement of a krill being a light creature from a developer.
Though one or two moderators have mentioned it.
Oh wait yeah I know what you're talking about. Forgot about those crabs
no, not those ones, the office isnt canon
No, I mean the ones in the island map around the little islands away from the big one.
oh, yes those are the ones i am talking about
So the whole office is not canon?
correct. (my whole theory about dev caped kid and sky bot is more of a joke that a serious theory)
welllll, at least the part about the dev caped kid being the sky prince is a joke
thats wat they would like u to think. be the sheep that they program u to be. frog
It probably doesn't matter since it's made out of light, but isn't the cape attached to the skykid in such a way that it can easily fall off?
It gets torn up in Eden but never detached despite the winds, so likely not.
Honestly I chalk that up to the magic/the cape being made out of light. If it were physical it feels like it would fall off fairly easily, since it's not fastened to the skykid or anything
Why are there pots below the floor ? They look like they were put here on purpose since they don't seem to have fallen in...
Votive offerings ?
Well on some capes it goes around the neck (example is lamplighters cape)
It’s called sanctuary
I like the idea of votives!
Votive offerings :D
👀👀
Perhaps the villagers would create the jars/bells to be blessed by Praire Elder, which would then make them able to receive light and create the butterflies
seems like my theory of wax being lesser/immature creatures of light is gaining some ground
well, not the theory per say, but the way the whole wax to butterflies is going, it sure seems like soon it will become a valid theory to discuss
What do the bells do? Like the ones in sanctuary? I haven't figured out that they did anything after the task of restoring them, do they summon mantas or something?
It's just an instrument that you can play with other players by stepping on the buttons, just something for fun
What’s the topic?
Ooh I like that too. My other theory was that the place was kinda like a storeroom, and well, the P. elder is like the saint of pots so
I was thinking maybe the shadows in the fire trial is darkness that was somehow captured by the Elders and or the Spirits. Or it might be Krills who fell apart (what I mean is Krills might have been whales (the theory of whales being corrupted was from someone else on reddit but I forgot their username) who were corrupted overtime becoming nothing but skeletons with the mindset of "find light, and take it". Without having access to light they just kinda fall apart into darkness still searching for something but they can't remember what it originally was ( light). This is also why you go into the trial without a cape which has winged light in it. If the shadows managed to get any type of light they'd figure out what they're after.
(I'm not rlly good at grammar, spelling or punctuation so I'm sorry if it was hard to read. I will be happy to clarify anything I wrote above)
Yo, i really like that theory
Hello lore chat~ I got a good look at this building with the lantern and was wondering thoughts on what it was used for? The outside to me either looks like a diamond or kinda like the vault elder depiction. Inside I see weapons and shields like those found in Wasteland battleground. Also jars.
Did they update how it looks?
I dont think do, just a better/different look cause of the lantern illumination
the little prince can speak to krill? I have questions for the krill!!!!!
its eden's entrance. possibly a barracks of sorts or a temple before the castle
frog
🐸
Gud morink
will there be some kind of something for completing all the constellations?
You can buy elder hair after completing a realm's constellation, but there's no reward for completing them all. Also please ask questions in #questions-and-help
According to my statistics, the Sky kids who sleep at least 8 hours a day are more likely to be... you won't believe it, less sleepy, amazing, right?
How popular is the ‘krill are machines’ theory? Kinda interested if there was anything new to disprove it
i think maybe this channel will be alive when the new season launchs
I cant wait to share my theories about the beta but it's not allowed
It’s not that popular anymore ever since TGC debunked it
please just let it die already

Maybe not the topic to fit in, but is eden inside the clouds where home is? I just OOB in eden and
laughing spirit shows ancestors gathering light, wave spirit shows the jars being taken to the temple, and the elder would supposedly use the light gathered to make butterflies.
So, those jars are likely offerings the ancestors left for the elder to use.
That is at least one theory.
(I missed the Votive offering mention. That is a very good point! Will make a note of that 🪶 )
I believed it for ages
so many theories got destroyed once it was debunked for me…sad times
but I’ve made new ones
Is the King are slowly changing to just a symbol like
Can you share them?
Either via link or glossing over them?
The corruption is done with dark stone, and it does seem to break down organic matter based on the stone bodies found in and outside of eden.
One can theorise that krill have become more mechanical in some way based on their segmented bodies, and awful clacking sounds heard when a brave or unfortunate soul is near it.
was willing to believe they’re cyborgs but that got debunked too…sigh
Do you mean to ask if the king matches his symbol, or is the symbol changing?
this is definitely interesting though
Where did it get debunked? Im so outta the loop with modern theories
I was thinking about if the King was be changed from a character to a single mark Now i think this is totally not making sense
Same about the King being physically missing or recognisable other than with symbols.
Just can't help with thinking (though could be missing the mark by a mile) that the King/sky Prince is perhaps held back the game is ready for it.
In the Beta, Vault and Eden seemed to be nearly done with development with the old lore set. But once the global release came out, the lore changed to with the Eden 'could not be saved anymore.'
Either the King would return in a future update and give an ending to the story of the game, or perhaps revealed to be gone and would not return.
If anything, though this is just a crazy theory, the good ending is that all the skykids unite and bring back the king somehow. Or come realise that the King is gone and the skykids must now take his place, the bad ending.
Orrr.... The King could be us all along
I like the idea that possibly the “true ending” is helping the King ascend just like we’ve done with the other spirits
throwback
||Blue Eden looks awesome and seems more friendly to my eyes…||
Blue eden looks more cool than the Hellscape of red eden, imo.
Eden used to be blue because it was the first phases of Darkstone growth
you see, we have different types of Darkstone in sky. the first being the one that actually functions, the second being filled with energy (blue darkstone is basically darkstone but with lots of power) and then there's the corrupt Darkstone, its like the one we see in they Eye of Eden now
when the Eye of Eden was activated for the first time it had been going quite well, but not long after it started glowing blue, causing a quite large explosion that threw even the elders away. And killing the King himself in the middle of it
Blue Eden from that beta oob in 2019 had all the elders corpses spinning around that ray coming out of the mountain. Now it's likely not canon since the devs chose to remove it, but that along with the concept of the king's crown being cursed by the elders so they can seal him in Eden... is very, very interesting.
I’m hoping one day we might return to that concept 👀
I have the video of that blue eden saved.
@hushed steeple show us ? 👀
This was from.....I think Miriam? Maybe another. I forgot.
YEAH I REMEMBER this is so eerie and cool
Happy it was not kept though. Flinging about the elders makes unhappy :(
Idk there's something fascinating about seeing ruins spinning in the storm. The elders aren't in there anymore but you can tell it's their last moment as fully alive beings.
It would be a shock.
I really wonder why was the narrative in that section and why it was taken out. Would it be too morbid, or sad?
And more importantly, what replaced it?
I understand some of the narrative of the current Eden, but is sure feels like it is missing pieces of the whole picture.
Too morbid and sad ? We got a spirit that had to bury all their comrades after a cave-in and another straight up dying before our eyes, and finally the implication that an entire group of kids died in a forest, so I beg to disagree, morbidity isn't it.
I suggest it might be either one of the lore changes that happened last minute, or simply that the devs thought it gave too much away. I prefer the latter, personally.
With Sky being an almost episodic game with each Season adding its own story and fleshing the world out, I feel like perhaps we will accumulate the missing pieces necessary to get the full scope of Eden’s ending
fair enough, perhaps too much at once All the elders met and saved along the way, now floating in the centre of the death storm and your little skykid self is only source of light left in that environment.
I agree with the possibility of too much of the story was given out too soon. And skykids (the players) would be quick to pick up on them even if it was hidden away in an OOB void.
If the supposed final chapter ever comes out, I really hope it delivers a similar type of shock than the nightmarish blue Eden.
At this rate we don’t even know if the elders fell or died or fell then died. But Im still happy it wasent getting wobbled in blue eden.
According to the intro, the stars did make their new homes in the clouds after falling but before feeling the consequences of "not listening".
I like to think the Elders are parts of the megabird that wanted to be sentient on their own, but being cut off this way had them grow weak (hence why falling elder-stars isn't something to rejoice).
I think they where already sentient. Hence why they could rebel in the first place. Like fallen angels. Maybe they wanted to take over the orbit cycle from Mega? Maybe even.....control life and death? Thats a theory.
I'm not a fan of using christian imagery tbh, fallen angels and singular god makes it look like a battle between good and evil.
just found that video yesterday and i am very shook at the possibilities of the lore expanding towards
Sky has a lot of that though. Most of all in concept art when they didn’t want it so vague. The japanese intro said “the spirit that made the mistake”. I think one of them or all of them did decide to do something they ought not have.
Keep in mind the narrator could be biased; a mistake could be a risk you took that ended up not being worth it.
And then I think the chinese intro was just “they went to make sky kingdom cause they wanted to.” something like that
Diving into the wonders and stories of sky is really enjoyable for me
I like wholesome and angst stuff and I saw a theory on tumblr that was like, perhaps the elders wanted to live closer to the ancestors since they were worshipped or at least looked up to, and it ended up causing more harm than good.
It thats what it takes for more elders interacting with skykids
The elders did seem to live in the stars, so they may have had their own realm just for the elders.
Following the demigod, theory, the megabird made them for each one to watch over the realms. Though they might not have meant to be living among the mortals, that or use the dark stone technology since it has the ability to take light instead of giving it.
Just to remind that the intro has been changed. The intro video no longer plays and instead introduced to the opening lore with the murals in Dawn, which tells the story from the ancestor's perspective.
From what I recall from the murals in the Dawn cave:
The ancestors used to pray to the stars and lived in harmony. This allowed their light was infinite (supposedly meant they had plenty of resources to go around
).
Their civilisation was great and made a home among the clouds (perhaps lived with the elders in the clouds).
Then darkness came and the stars began to fall; life as the ancestors knew it, fell to to ruin.
The last murals is asking the skykid to bring all the spirits back home.
So, the old intro might still be viable since it gives the elder's side of the story. Though neither side seems to explain what happened that caused the darkness.
While the spirits are mostly associated with blue, I like how the elders are suggested to have either blue or yellow light associated with them (as seen in their thrones, I cannot recall if the any in-game text makes the word elder gold or not). That leaves the reddish colour of Eden.
If the theory of the King himself being corrupted is true, then his side of the story is the missing piece of the lore.
🪶
As far as i know, the “elders” you mentioned were more likely to be the King
I like to think the ancestors were given some kind of reverence before they fell, not unlike deities.
You mixed it up, the stars fell before they made a home in the clouds.
But darkness came, and the stars fell.
Together, the fallen stars made a new home in the clouds.
If only they had listened...
A long time has passed. Now, I call to you.
Wake up, child. Bring our lost stars home.```
Ancestors were stars… and the kingdom was tied to the stars tightly
Just as the intro said:
Written in the Stars
also also the Valley elders tho. if i'm not mistaken they were split in two after they fell right?
not really something i wanna stress out but i was thinking why did they split
They are represented with one star yes, I really like that theory as well.
But if they split, whether the present elders are two different identities of them or completely same?
I like to think they are like, two arms. Separate but same body. Hence their surnatural synchronization.
i guess they stay the same? tho from my point of view they see each other as friend, but also rivals, and also family
dom toretto voice FOR FAMILY
Do you think they have same identity like memories or mind?
Maybe they started out very much alike but became more different from eachother as time went on.
here is the current text from the murals.
With the stars united, our light was infinite...
...and together, we lived in harmony. As spirits, we soon became many...
...creating our home here in the clouds. But darkness came and the star fell...
...and with their light we faded away.A long time as has passed. Now we call to you.
Go forth, child. Return our spirits to the stars.
Like I said, the old intro still has good lore that works.
However, the changed intro now shows the story from either the spirits perspective, someone else.
I wrote that text according to a video, wym there are different versions, TGC stop messing with us like this I'm begging on my hands and knees 😔 😔 😔
i guess? they do came from the same star
also i've seen some theories about the twins having some sort of discourse with each other sometimes, which is very good angst material
friggles i can't pin the reply
oh my gosh, tgc rewrote this intro text?
I'm dying squirtle.
That old intro no longer plays. I checked.
Unless my device bugged out and skipped it, the old intro no longer plays and instead goes to your skykid at home and you go to Dawn to see the murals in that first cave.
I'd happily share screenshots if need be.
New version seems more vague
No I believe you, I just gotta rewrite my entire theory, which is kinda exciting but also oh my god.
Like, the ancestors call themselves spirits now ???
It does not seem to have changed a lot, it follows what the old intro stated. Though the context and some details might have shifted during the retelling.
Probably to make it easier for new players to recognise them and later on make the connection of the spirits being the ancestors.
I think maybe the new season will give us more inspiration for theories though now it’s not allowed
True but the home in the clouds does happen before the stars fell then, which happens itself nearer to the end.
waiting for the new season to start mmm getting hungry for those new lores
And new expressions/cosmetics and area to explore.

A MINUTE. The switch trailer does show civilization thriving before the stars fell (they litterally fall at the end lol), the elders probably fell near the end then. Maybe the Prophecy kid that gets crowned didn't give them the powers by hand, but consecrated them to the elders.
but if they end up like those Assembly kids...

Actually, I still haven't figured out where the prophecy is on the timeline of sky
Welp, it is before the stars fell and during the time the elders interacted with the ancestors.

if the prophecy and trials were in golden age ( mural mentioned the king’s crowned ceremony), why ancients set those trials to the king?
Right, we see Isle Elder when golden kid sails to the caves of Prophecy. But maybe they represent the isle itself (kinda like gods personifying tribes) rather than the elder ?
I just realised something, when was the last time you saw the cut scene of dawn?
You might want to see what happened to the dawn constellation in that cut scene. 👀
Not long ago in fact, a friend of mine went there recently thinking he would retrieve the ultimate gift there lol.
They added all the constellations right ?
This might reinforce Isle's role as the door to the kingdom.
...yup
Personally not a fan, because it is inconsistent with the rest of the temples.
I am fine with just seeing dawn, but all of them together makes no sense to me and am sure it would confuse new players to why that temple has 6 constellations.
We do see the other temples depicted inside though. I think it's interesting but I give you that it doesn't look natural.
Speaking of cutscenes ! I noticed isle and prairie start out with a view of Eden before it pans to the Elder, but it's absent from the other cutscenes. Valley and Vault do open their door to the next level with a direct view on Eden after the dreamlike sequence but
maybe this means something...
hmm you might be onto something 👀
Maybe Isle and Prairie elders are the ones that are the most haunted or traumatized by what happened. If the place we see them in is a limbo they can influence, then it would make sense for it to reflect how they feel.
We meet Isle Elder litterally in shambles and Prairie slumbering (they look genuinely tired to me).
Forest Elder could push back their feelings by burying themselves in work (the anvil and pebbles are the only notable features of the scenery besides the stars), and the Twins seem to be in a ruined arena...
As someone who just started playing this month with the Switch, I got the intro that @nimble ingot is talking about! In my brain I figured it made more sense that the stars fell after the Kingdom was created and was what caused the destruction. It could also be a metaphorical representation of the Elders coming into some kind of conflict, I think. It’s hard to parse what exactly the stars falling is meant to signify but it ultimately lead to the fall of the Kingdom.
Thank you.
Personally, I think the falling of the stars is the arrival of the skykids.
How I came to that theory is how skykids only arrived after the ancestors perished, though not all skykids are present. 🪶
In the present (where we are right now), of the game, we see stars in the sky.
We see the stars are of the statue kids we save in eden.
We also see the spirits become part of the stars too.
Now, I dont have all the pieces, but am building a 'mega theory' to cover it properly, with evidence to back it up. But it is still open to edits (hence why I was asking for suggested theories to start off with).
Ooooh very cool!! I’m excited for whenever you decide to write it all up
If it is allowed, I'd happily share it here. 🙂
Wait, I thought it’s canon
Not that I know of.
Unless stated otherwise, Everything I say is either a headcanon, a thoery (my own or other's), fanon or jokes.
Huh
theres no hard and fast canon regarding the falling of the stars, although fanon believes it to be the elders falling from orbit to horizon
I would LOVE that
Hi 🙂
Which falling stars ? The ones in the game intro are confirmed to be elders, but the ones we see in the switch trailer are too numerous to be that & could be the first sky kids as you say.
Does anyone have an idea of what could this floating castle be ? We see it from as far as Prairie, but when we get into Stormlock (where the statues are) it's not hanging out above us. I plan on going to Eden tommorow anyway but just asking in case it rings a bell to anyone.
I suppose it's the epicenter of the storm but it can't be the castle we go through after dying since we can see the stars from here.
I think it is the same castle top we fly past in Orbit, the perspective is just different
Are you sure ? The architecture doesn't look the same to me...
Here are my answers to both questions, @rigid mural
The stars I am referring to are the in game stars we can see in Home, Orbit and Starry Desert.
Though I think the Elder can refer to a set of stars, not all stars would be an elder. We see the elder's star among other that make up a constellation of spirits.
What I was suggesting that it may be possible for an ancestor to become part of a constellation, though not every possible ancestor might become a star, or be part of a constellation themselves (still trying to find solid evidence to validate these theories, so take them with a grain of salt).
I am a bit more certain about a theory of skykids being stars. Even though it could be an in game feature for friends to be stars a skykids can see in the sky, other factors such as the skykid's light, rebirth, appearance point to the possibility of them being stars. What I am suggesting is skykids arriving could be at the same time the stars started to fall.
There is another theory about the winged light being stars too. Multiple people have discussed this theory though I dont have a lot of info beyond the theory already covered (in short, the theory is they are given to statues and then go to orbit).
(I do not want to leave a wall of text, so will leave these theories as is here).
As for the floating piece about Eden. That is the castle you fly past on your way to Orbit.
That is the top of the castle.
Yeah, the perspective is just kinda warped in your picture. Plus the actual scale of it when looking at it just in the different worlds is a bit larger, probably to make it more visible for the player to be able to always spot it. There’s a certain emphasis that’s always able to draw one’s eye back to it.
It’s very stylized though and I can see how you’d think it looked different
Fair, plus on second thought you can see the floating rocks beside it before it seemingly ascends above the clouds. Unless...
Maybe like the Vault, your flight through the castle before Orbit is partially an hallucination.
It could be an old model of the top of the castle, since the portals might not have changed along with the updates of their realms.
Yeah the elders look like they rule over a constellation more than just one star; perhaps there's more ancestors than we might see on a given constellation...
And I share your theory on sky kids being stars as well, especially with the cutscene where you get your ascended candles after Eden.
I don't have much to say except I'm impressed you try to incorporate as much canon as you can, looking forward to see what else you got in the future !
I agree!
Hey I appear here to ask about
Do you think sky kids can get rejected from eden?
how so? can you explain what you mean?
Like they complete the journey, but when they travel into the light, they are unable to be reborn? Or at the least, reborn, but suffer the consequences
And are then unable to reenter
hmmm....
Maybe? There are 63 statues in Eden, and we skykids turn into one of them upon death.
Perhaps if your skykid is not strong enough. Though am not sure.
ooh ye
that might work too
that is just the theory, not exactly confirmed canon.
frog
@frozen pivot
oh my word why haven't I heard about that
it was an OOB that did not last long during the pre-global release, beta
Rest in peace 2019 beta oob, you will never be forgotten 😔 ✌️
no lost archives, some only yet to be seen
Clearly sky kids and ancestors coexisted at one point though
Prairie Elder...
(on the left, blue light on blue bg makes them hard to see but you can spot the pot)
all of them are there 😦
Though did not spot forest elder (I think she might be behind daylight or wasteland elder.
I think they're at the beginning of the vid but OP couldn't get close enough to see clearly.
Yeah, wish there were more, though it either was not recorded or OP did not think it would not be there for long.
Yeahhhhh but at least it shows at least a concept of how they... bit the dust.
yeah the video is super creepy
man im starting to realize how little i know about this game plot wise, i have no clue about any of this stuff, fun to read though :)
lol I read everything y'all have been writing for the past few hours to catch up
The sound/song especially, with the eerie whistling kind of like metallic wind. I love it.
I'm trying to gather all the solid evidence I can before coming up with a solid theory. Kinda like Raider lol it's taking a while
to give you an idea of how lost i am rn, i dont even what eden is for, or who the king is
sure thing, take your time, @stoic oar and @wheat cypress
no one really knows who he is, we're all speculating 🙃
We just know he exists, is not around to be saved anymore, and got his sigil plastered all over the kingdom.
im gonna stay up tonight reading all the discussion, then ill share all my theories!! be prepared!!!
lol yep pretty much
However for the past few days I've been compiling all the recurring symbols and architecture in the realms to see about the timezone theory, it's quite perplexing
The timezone theory, is that the realms all represent or literally are different stages of civilization in sky, one leading after the other, in different stages of actual physical time. I'm starting to have an issue with that cuz, number 1, if darkstones were first manufactured in forest, why is the candlemaker in Isle using a darkstone powered boat to send his family to the temple? It's literally chronologically impossible for them to be separated in time, they clearly coexisted as separate areas or provinces during the same time frame, contemporaries would be a better word
knowing this I'd say gives us a little more clarity timeline-wise
Perhaps the boats were powered by whatever the ancestors used before darkstone.
i think the theory roots from the fact that while theres daylight cycle in home, the time in the realms seems to be stationary, which i believe is by game design rather than actual lore
basically wat im saying is, the theory has too many holes to have a ground
the game does use the time of day, development of civilisation and stages of life to suggest movement of time. Perhaps all off them combines just emphasises that idea.
The videos/pictures are mine, and that was essentially it 😄 I stumbled on that OOB one day while doing something else. When i went down to explore I got stuck alone, so I thought "oh I'll just get a friend and comeback another day" and an update that removed the whole thing happened too soon
Hopefully one day we'll see it again for real
just looking at tom zhao's concept art gives me chills, I feel like there's so much hidden in here
and some of his works still gets used (can't say where though, lol)
like he literally has a full blown timeline
whether this is what it currently is or what it was going to be, it still gives us an insight into what it could be, getting into the head of whoever designed the plot
yup. I call that the old lore.
Some of the events might not match the current lore, though am going over it to see what changed.
it is long scrapped, no longer accurate to the current game
oh bricky yay hi... where does it say that 👀 is that official?
in discussions with tgc employees they've mentioned it. i think if i do some keyword searches in lore chat i should be able to find the specific quote about it.
but frankly when it comes to any concept its safe to assume its not canon first before any other assumptions.
the reason I was hopeful was just cuz it comes straight from the concept artist himself so lol
just because tom zhao made it doesnt make it canon, lots of his concepts were never implemented or are in a nebulous "iffy" state
I was just in the Cave of Prophecy again and lit up all the murals. The first time I did it I didn’t really look at them much, but wow, there’s a whole story there. Though are we sure the light child is supposed to be the Prince/King? I sort of assumed that it was a newly made mural by the quest giver showing the Skykid finishing the trails. Though what was really interesting was the apparent inclusion of dead bodies that seem to be in the trials? Has anyone explained what this could be yet?
well obviously, I'm just saying some of the ideas from this timeline must have seeped into the official canon that we are all trying to figure out @lethal stump
8 students of the prophets in their memories. 8 fallen figures in the mural.
I've been looking at those murals very deeply lately and I'm dying to know what they are talking about lol, I suspect the trials were put up to elect a king, and that's why he's in the murals cuz it's the story of how he became the ruler of sky, but then again it's sketchy cuz why would they use athletic games to choose a political ruler?? Either way it's highly likely that it's the king or prince because of the very last mural, the golden kid is drawn with rays around his head, typically a sign of deity and plus he's drawn the same way in the very beginning intro of sky
Look, the Valley twins are athletes with no brains, never stopped them from ruling one of the most inhabited realms lol
good point 🙃
the trials werent made by the prophets, it was there before them, rather nobody really knows wat the trials are. i highly doubt it was made for anyone
alsoooooooo, if the figures on the murals are the students of the prophets, studying to pass the trials, doesn't that mean it's highly likely that the future king studied under the instruction of one or all of these prophets? in the memories of the spirits of the prophets, it's a possibility that we have a physical 3d image of the king studying under the prophets in these memories, right in front of our faces
I'm sure a sliding race involving floating platforms going through a whole city breaks a few OSHA laws.
the only canon depiction of the king that I know of is the one in the vault elder's cutscene, where she shows murals for each realm, the last mural being the king most likely, are there any more depictions of the king other than the isle and vault murals?
sanctuary
the high and mighty wasteland towers
So what if it violates OSHA laws? it's fun /lh /j
ok and that one
there is a mural in the water pond around the portal to the office. (if you clip under the tiny island you see the figure riding the boat has a glowing head).
what's with that mural in the caves in sanctuary anyway it's like permanently glitched or smthn
It was just a mistake but it's hilarious imo
here it is, sorry for the tiny resolution, @wheat cypress
lol I'm gonna take a look at all this stuff and come back to the chat later hehe see y'all laterrrr, also @nimble ingot yep seen it although I never noticed the king on there will look into it
I can go grab a concept art of it if u want
please do, I would grab the in game image if it was easy to screenshot.
the king/prince's head is under the small patch of ground that the office portal is on, and since it's behind the office barrier (even though its not technically in the office) it's probably best not to base any theories on it (you can definitely use it, but its not the strongest piece of evidence)
I beg to differ, in game images can work as strong evidence. Other sources for evidence would be either developer answers, and researching related symbolism, mythology and cultures.
If the mural is not canon, it would have been removed, correct?
Its that its behind the office barrier
Nah. Unless you want to say the minihouse is canon too. It is based on concept art, so I think its usable, but not just because its in office space. Afterall, theres no guarantee everyone would be able to see it.
Here is one concept version
did anybody else think that the fish with the little light ball in front of its face on the direct right of the King was some kinda freaky mermaid thing or am I just hardwired to look for mermaids everywhere
true, @orchid jolt
I am not going to argue that.
The only reason I can think of why that mural is obscured like that is how it hides the king's face. The king has been obscured throughout the game, so a mural that outright shows his face might be odd, so one that hides it sort of makes sense to me.
If one needs other evidence to support this is perhaps looking in office. Though I am aware of how the place is frequently mentioned as not canon by players, I like to think it acts as a bridge to allow meta facts to sneak in. Such as the times of day, and stages of life fact is seen as a poster in Office. Since it is there and it is confirmed by devs. That board alone is a pretty strong anchor for other pieces of evidence to built upon.
At least that is how I go about it with my research.
now that you brought it up, it does look like it lol.
Though like to think it is a baby fish when it comes to lore. ❤️
The little balls things where everywhere on concept critters. Called....motes? I think? They could be currency and weaved into hair.
Look, it is not canonically in sky (the mural and the office portal), but you can still use it as a jumping off point (also parts of megabird are obscured and the mural glitches while spinning in the water) thats all
concept manta using what is likely a mote. Also the horned mantas in sanctuary were from a previous design likely meant to be able to carry motes. then the motes being what gave us power turned in e-motes the electronic version lol, then became winged lights
D’aww
maybe the King was fond of fish
here is a badge-like concept art of the mural
Edit: forgot to paste the image into this message :(
Head empty, no thoughts except manta side view
here's the image
oh wow, I actually adore that
It looks like there’s things in the water there, I think they’re means to be fish bones. Pretty direct reference to the cycle of life through the powers of Megabird, which is cool!
Saw the beta forest elder cutscene. Now I know you can see Eden in it too, but at what cost...
(it's just so pretty even though I really like Teth with a hammer and anvil)
@hushed steeple bottom left seems like a good concept piece of the prince
I like the third one from the left for totally non obvious reasons.
True. I considered it too similar to a few of the other wing spinners and images in kingcomp though
fair point
seems to have once been a mega home shrine
I do need to re-find the white prince with the grey spade shaped headpeice though
oh, i have that lol, but first, what do you think of this going in the prince thing?
A bit too circular. Looks a bit more like the juicer or the cut wall juicer that used to be in the unused forest temple room for thinker. Or ya know. The 8 person dealie.
well, compare it to this:
O! With the diamonds being the pointies!
also, here u go:
and finally, here is the collection of some concepts i was using:
https://www.tomzhao.com/sky1
i like how this implies that it's safer to play with fire as a child than to play with other children as a child
while y'all loving the whales and the manta elders, i was loving the... uhhh.... thing?
I have drawn one of those before. They are one of my favorites. I like the ones with the little extra spots behind the eyes
Like these. Kinda similar.
(is slowmode ever gonna be turned off?)
where did you get that? also love how i cant reasonably turn this into a manta in my head
This page. Heres my sketchy one too.
one,pls share the link to that one with me, two:
oh also, anyone else notice how similar the whale eyes look to the dials?
Thanks to you I just barely realized they have one single cluster of glowy eye now. I thought they where eyeless
and gotta love how the whale made of water looks like its coming crashing towards u lol
Looks like anime pause frame where it gets skewered from under
POP QUIZ! Which of these is a bird?
A.) 🐦
B.) 🟡
Thats not fair one does not load
DAGNABIT! OK
A.) 🐦
B.) O
I don’t get it but B
new type of manta unlocked! https://mobile.twitter.com/sky_angel1018/status/1431441478157410305
I already updated kamconian kingcomp too. Geez I love the glichy manta. Surprisingly cool.
look back at the meme i sent in lore chat a bit ago
me looking for the dials like
and also the prince head from the mural around the office portal might be a good adition lol
the office zone isnt canon so i dont think we should include anything from or related to it
yes, but we (well Kamilico) are also including concept art in the prince collage and even the concept version of that mural
theres a difference between concepts and fourth-wall breaks
.... both arent canon to the game. its just a prince compilation dude.
im just sayin that including things from office is iffy. in the past we've had many folks confuse office for canon and including it in a comp of prince/king imagery could easily muddy the waters
same with the concepts
tons of prince comparisons and just staring at the prince's face in general going "what are you"
I HAVE ANOTHR PRENCE PHOTO
The prince is everywhere, we cannot escape
its in the middle of the compilation, just with the gem shining
Actually did include a megabird prince mural. Should be somewhere to the right. From the concept art, little antlered prince
well, yes, but thats the concept mural, the heads are vastly different. but its close enough i guess and its your choice in the end lol
O! I completely forgot uncovered office mural. To used to princey with an island ploped over his head!
? it was once uncovered? I just sometimes chibi slide under the island to see the head lol
Ah. I never did that.....yet. I only meant how you shared the file image earlier of the whole thing
Oh, wellthe prince in both of those concept murals have the same head. i mean the current one in game
Ohhhhhh
If the devs sneak in little bits into non canon spaces like the Office as easter eggs, like the Megabird being up in there, I think it’s fine to bring them up and catalogue them as references under the statement that they’re from a non-canonical source. It’s basically the same thing with the concept art.
Ive never actually been in the Office so I dunno how it all looks inside but it’s clearly a special fun 4th wall thing that shouldn’t be taken super seriously
True. After all like, we really could use any source we can get for lore.
soooo, about the dials....
Here’s a question for the ages
Why is the Yeti’s bed, pillow, and even the blankets made entirely of rock
I get that maybe he had some cot hewn from rock (wouldn’t be that comfortable though), but to make a pastiche of rumpled blankets and a pillow out of stone???? Dude has a really weird obsession with rock furniture
most items supposed to be soft seem to be made of stone. look at the sleepy shipwright's bed. likely a code limitation or something like that
Maybe so. But lore wise, either the spirits have a way alien sense of touch than we do, or somehow the cataclysm made certain stuff petrify, not just people. Idk man. Realistically if it was cloth, the bed sheets would have probably rotted a while ago (unless Sky ecosystems are vastly different from ours with decomposer organisms???)
But yeah the best explanation is gameplay and story segregation lol
Well, we are the moths, so if it was really fabric, we would have eaten them long ago?
I WAS JUST ABOUT TO MAKE A MOTH JOKE XD
By the way, I’ve been observing the realms various statues as I’ve played. I noticed these gold ones on the entrance to the flying race (it’d at the end of the area with the big globe wheels)
oh i noticed those awile ago pretty sure they are at both races
They just have this different vibe to them. Very elegant, and looks more like adult Skids vs the trumpet players in front of the arena and the stoic soldiers in GW. Seems to have an upside triangle crest on their heads. They
Wish I got a better pic of them—idk what they’re holding
the statues in sky are cool
Indeed! I’ve only recently taken more notice of them. They seem to show certain aspects of the society that came before. Some even look kinda different than what spirits are shown to look like
Though I mean, art tends to be creative representations of us sometimes and not direct copies of real life haha
ex. Michelangelo’s David statue
As a Hindu myself, well, it would take place in the next life more than Eden itself to be fair, because you have to relive and if you're more or less "perfect" (not sinned), you get to truly ascend and enjoy Heaven, and if you don't, you get reborn
Edit: After enjoying heaven you come back to Earth too...hm
Maybe these gold statues are similar to the statue representations of symbolic ideas. These could be representations of the spirit of competition, victory, speed, or flight
is the slo mo still bad?
looks like a greek shield ngl
I guess this has a little bit of inspiration from our earth world itself? I mean...I don't know, it kind of reminds me of it for some reason, except in Gold because they're more "richer"
Speaking of which, how do they even have access to gold? Since they're skykids and all and having land there is a bit...off I guess?? But even land doesn't bother me too much, just, how gold?
Could be their own version of gold
Perhaps, I guess that's more reasonable
||its a part of the eden castle that got yeeted 300 miles||
just like how we get gold irl, mining
After the dragon part, when we get into the inside area--it's there, pretty much, I guess at least
Yeah, mining, but it's sky?? That's what my line of thought was
yes,we do see miners in hidden forest
There are light miners (the tearful light miner in Forest)
Yes, I'm aware, but mine from what? Clouds?
Yes there was land there, which is still kinda a surprise factor but yes
Oh oh speaking of petrified supplies, turns out light spells aren't useless.
This was all in the temple area of Valley and while it's not a loose-end tying find, it's still fun to see how the ancestors lived. Last one looks like fireworks ??? Adorable.
the earth
They can mine on earth and return to sky kingdom?
Tearful light miner looks to be mining from the earth like irl; perhaps they dug up light gems to power stuff up before dark stone technology arrived.
i meant they mine in caves
Oh, that earth
Yeah, most likely
andddd lore chat is ded
A quick advice from wise ol'
Skybot: remember to take a break every once a while and take care of yourselves please, fellow Sky kids
Also, in Prairie, you do get teleported, no? From the 8 player to the elder temple in the end, that is, which is the only place where we teleport as well
by teleport i think you meant portal
Yeah, pretty much with the portal
The statues in Valley are so very cool
one issue with the cloth decomposing, we can see torn fabric billowing in the wind in dreams, heck even some on the entrance to hermit's house
Oh really??
Wait
Now that I think of it, the Valley arena has cloth galore
just admit you're the dev caped kid from office already....
And even GW has some ribbons on some of the spears
yes but all the "cushiony" stuff looks hard, no bounce when we jump on it, even the fabric billowing in the wind isnt affected by us flying into it. its probably a coding thing
Awww!!
I did the same looking around the yeti’s house...axes, staffs, lots of jars
u can light up the lamp and a wall fixture btw. or just use candle to light up stuff
Yeah, probably so.
I guess Yeti liked his bedding really firm lol
Tough guy
maybe he lived in the mountains to train like a super Saiyan or something lol
im trying to say, if they couldeasily do it without any annoying bugs/crashes, they would be cushiony.its not just yeti's bed but also the chat couches in valley's arena and shipwright's bed
Edit: even the billowing cloth doesnt react to us bumping into it
Its been so so long the beds have petrified :]
Oh yes! Gotcha. I was just making a joke haha
ohhh, and like the real world, fossils can occur
butttt the conditions make so sense in sky for that for the beds, there are fossils, but the beds dont make sense for it
Yeah it’s just an oddity really
I will pretend it is real cloth lol
@orchid jolt or it could just be a bedframe and the linen decomposed hundreds of years ago
I’m sure they also mined gold
Maybe golden wasteland was rich in gold at one point
the blanket
Yeah but look: stone blanket
im saying the blanket isnt part of the bedframe, or the pillows
Maybe it somehow got stuck to the bed over time 🤣
still wouldnt be part of the bedframe, its like how in many fossils, just the bones fossilize, the skin is attached to the body but isnt always preserved with it. fossils with the whole thing would be sometimes in amber, or a block of ice or something. this bed is out in the open, even if we consider it fossilizing anyway it doesnt make sense
It was always like that the hermit just slept on it anyways/j
Honestly i think its just technical reasons altogether
I think it was probably just artistic design. He’s meant to be a yeti supposedly, and a yeti probably wouldn’t sleep on a bed. Also the stone blanket is hilarious.
Maybe yeti’s outfit is just soft enough he doesn’t need soft blankets
Also correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the smaller assembly treehouse near boneyard also has rock beds like that, I think it’s just easier for tgc to make that way
Someone mentioned that maybe the king likes fish
Kinda reminds me how the young Egyptian pharaoh King Tut loves ducks so much since he's a small child that his coronation shoes and clothes have duck motifs on them.
No I'm certainly not tearing up imagining how the Prince in his young age (before he gets corrupted or whatever the thing happened to him)
have fishes embroidered on his clothes and he draws fish and other aquatic animals on his bedroom walls
haha no joke that’s literally me though like 100% I know exactly what you’re referencing and man, OW
Hey so uh, I was thinking of this idea for a little and thought I'd put it out
So as time passed we get more seasons that come with more spirits and with a (somewhat not really) recent update they remain around even after the season passes, so what if from a story perspective their arrival is related to how were slowly repairing the kingdom as we do eden runs
As in were slowly uncovering new spirits when we chip at the darkness/ corruption of the kingdom
(sorry if it's confusing or something but it's my first time sharing a lore idea, I mostly just take others °^°)
(credits to @sk_evi_ on twitter!)
has anybody ever made some sort of reasoning as to why the right side is mostly broken?
Oh ye, I made a theory once about that
Wait, let me find jt
I'd say the "one half is normally broken while the other isn't" is because we see on the elder to the right that they don't have a horn unlike their brother on the left. Maybe the elder on the right had a horn but then it broke off and so many structures now resemble that
Or, the Dora elder was inferior to the other elder and if you look at the Valley cutscene: Dora elder went to the right and the broken piece was the right one (also, Dora didn’t get the light at all)
And it also seems Dora elder manages the middle class while the other elder manages the higher class
interesting
I just call them X (left side) and Y (right side)
I made a theory earlier about what was important possibly with the people who were once alive and who they hailed to the most out of everyone else
Uh ye, that’s my theory
It is still something very interesting
interesting take aswell
man i love reading peoples takes/interpretations of the valley elders
Above is my theory with generally the valley twins and gw elder being the main focus of daily worship
What are these pillar-like things supposed to be
where is this, please say it is still there
Daylight Prairie also has a stone bed (in Slumbering Shipwright's house/workshop)
Also, there are bed in the tree houses in forest (not counting the hammocks).
Perhaps it is a texture overlook since it is part of the terrain, or intentional to show the yeti (hermit) either cannot afford or does not prefer soft bedding.
[While catching up, saw it was already answered, though wanted to mention the forest beds regardless.]
ruins of something. a well or boat fragments
DORA ELDER I'M CACKLING
I feel like, with the twins theme being symmetrical menaces, one of them losing said symmetry could be seen as a bad omen on the moment, and could be linked to the downfall of the Valley.
I personally think that it's an artistic choice to show that even the Valley's themes of sportsmanship and team playing didn't survive time, and that the twins are still really close.
I headcanon that they came from the same star splitting and although they looked like two halves of the same being at first (hence the similar and different haircuts in depictions), they grew different from eachother over time until they looked more like their own individual.
recently fallen sahmek having an identity crisis; are they still one or are they two ?
Understanding how the old lore goes, there was early concept art of one elder, then two that represented two parts of a whole.
Though currently, it may be assumed that the elders are just twins that rule over one realm together.
Given they act like twins, mirroring each other and working together competitively, they might have been made twins from the start to embody the competitive nature of the realm.
They are represented by one star though. But in being sporty twins they remind me of the dioscuri (Castor and Pollux, aka. the geminis).
I'm not sure they are truly competitive with eachother (outside a sports game) more than they are very prone to sibling banter xD one of my favorite cutscenes tbh
I wish we could play the game they play with their paddles, it looks so fun.
Vault of knowledge. It's supposed to be a spirit manta, but its a graphical glitch which only affects some devices, especially OPPO phones. Hope its patched soon cos mine looks worse
oh, in that case, hope it gets fixed soon.
in some fan arts i've seen one of the twins seems to be seen as superior to the other and they're not really happy to see the other twin getting more praises than them (in some of the fan arts i mostly see Kakashi being the one having ill will towards Dora. bad Kakashi slaps wrist)
also the red and blue banner decorating the hall before we started on the races
i'm a recent player btw, I joined in Assembly and my friend joined before Little Prince. yesterday she went on the slide race and asked me if she noticed how the banner in the slide race hall is just blue, compared to the flying race which have two of those colours, red and blue
she theorizes that the blue one is Kakashi (X) and the red one is Dora (Y) and told me what if a twin wants to overthrow the other twin since, you know they are very competitive with each other
and i'm thinking what possibly is the hidden lore in the structures of Valley. since they are two rulers there must've been some scuff between the twins every now and then during their reign at the place.
this could really be a good angst material
Ahh yes the fan art I'm referencing to is this one btw (it's a little thread)! It's a really cool theory but oof that very cruel of kakashi
so youve seen the art too? man dude that actually made me so sad when i saw what kakashi did 😔
anyways interesting find! the idea of the valley elders being competitive is very fitting (but that one comic is just straight up insane)
I showed it to my friend and she translated the line in the last panel to understand it better
"No need for light to losers"
screams You can't do this to me I didn't expect such angst from "a very cute game"
thats so messed up holy hell, and also petty of him to say since from what i can tell, kakashi was inferior in the comic
Oh hi, I joined with the switch release lol.
But yeah, as much as twins irl have, well, a special bond as twins, it doesn't mean their relationship (even healthy) can't have its shortcomings just like any other sibling relationship.
I'm not one to see the elders as having quite "human" feelings and difficulties like the spirits, but if that's your thing...
Consider this: keeping up the facade of the perfect symmetrical twins as the faces of the Valley, but bitterly arguing behind closed doors.
(also, comic link ?
)
i think another great interpretation of the valley elders is this comic, you cant really read, but i think anyone can already guess by the panels https://twitter.com/sk_evi_/status/1371787920772767755?s=20
I think I will need more context to understand that one, chief
Ohoho my mmm that's a really delicious take too. I prolly tend to humanize the elders to form my own stories. But seeing them in such way is quite interesting too.
Trouble in paradise huh my my 👀
(huh weird... The link doesn't work? I'll try to find it back if I could)
Ahh this one. Can't really read nihongo as well but from what I see even though they have misunderstandings they still have each other's backs?
YES yeah that basically
i LOVE that type of dynamic when it comes to the valley elders
also i just realized what you said, the original artist said theyll put down the comic after awhile, i can send you the images if you need though
Ahh no wonder I can't find it anywhere. Someone probably didn't like the idea
Yeah I can only tell they're fighting in there
My own headcanon is that elders are more like deities and incarnate a particular idea; unless the outside circumstances forces them to, they probably wouldn't stray far from their archetype. So with my other headcanon that the Valley twins are more like two halves of a whole since they come from the same star, I'd say they're surnaturally synchronized. But if you like angst with my own takes... maybe they can feel eachother's pain, even apart
i am in agony
Oh god
We can't really cuss in here right? Or am I confusing this with the rules of the other group

Imagine them being separated and felt pain from the other twin, can't help them and can't do anything about it
For the longest time I thought they are wearing arm braces that goes along with their outfit since they're athletes
But other people seems to have other ideas
Like, arms ripped off and now they have mechanical arms click clack click clack
Yeah, no swearing here
But yeah, I like the prosthetics theory because it can support the theory they came from the same star that split, maybe they even got leg prosthetics. Could even justify a link to the Forest Elder since they're the one that loves blacksmithing and machinery teth minecraft stream when ???
Whole new level of twin telepathy huh, (twin shared pain?)
If you mean the way I see it, probably more akin to if you were separated in two and survived, both sides know it hurts somewhere.
or could be something like a binary star.
say, given how stars have a part in the lore.
Would it be out of the question that Eye of Eden, or more like the beta of Eden back in Light Awaits, is becoming something like a black hole?
The ability of dark stone to absorb light and how Eden drains away all light and life near it, make me wonder if the game drew some inspiration from black holes.
If it is true, then would the Megabird being made of several pieces of light be like a Galaxy with all of its stars?
Here is a series of old concept art that brought up this theory.
I’ve always loved this picture, especially with the skids in the front. Really captures the feeling of being tiny and powerless in Eden even if it looks different from live.
Yessssss so cool. This def leads to the idea that it was always somewhat planned for the King to be related to Eden, possibly trapped or a part of it. I also think it’s cool how that pic resembles the intro with all of the stars representing the Elders falling while one remains hanging above them. I don’t have that picture rn but if anybody does I’d love to see it and compare!
Furthermore about the black hole theory, what if the king ended up taken by the black hole.
I agree, @half shadow, with him trapped, the other elders are not able to give out as much light as they used to.
Perhaps when the skykid dies, they are not yet past the event horison, so the megabird can recall the skykid safely and send them back.
I’d also posit that Orbit also resembles a celestial body itself, and in the ending credits when it’s zoomed away it’s almost like… an anti-black hole. An opposite black hole. A light hole? There’s probably a better word for it. Anyways, yeah, I think that would also explain the whole “the King isn’t around to be saved” tidbit! I believe he may be trapped somewhere beyond the world of Sky currently through whatever happened at Eden, or perhaps scattered to pieces endlessly like a real life black hole does. Maybe both at the same time? That’s the beauty of entropic celestial bodies.
welp, if the black hole story does work, that would literally open up a black hole of problems. (literally and figuratively).
First, black holes are not used a lot in fiction (or I am clueless and horribly mistaken).
Second, a black hole in the world is a very devastating situation, most likely a world ending scenario.
Third, given how devastating a block hole would be, it would be a hopeless mission for skykids (unless there is a way in the game to either by time, or stop the black hole).
Another thing about black holes. There are theories around it both in fiction and reality. While some say a black hole just ends everything that falls into it and spew out the pieces afterwards. And others say a black hole is like an aggressive worm hole.
If the king were to fall into a black hole, either pieces of him are scattered across the sky universe (let's call it the Gaster scenario from Undertale), or he is trapped in alternative dimension on the other side of the black hole.
Ha, the Gaster Scenario is a good term. I’d say that black holes are used as a representative in fiction for unknown, mysterious dangers of the universe. They’re sort of Lovecraftian in their inability to comprehend totally. The event that happened at Eden may not be a literal black hole, but perhaps the imagery of one, like the imagery of stars, was used to reflect the nature of Eden/the event that caused the destruction/the King. I can’t think of anything more chaotic and distant than a black hole, which describes the King very well I think. Sorry for the long pause, I had let a moth take my hand and lead me on an adventure lol
I have a theory that the seasonal events in Sky are actually related to how the civilization in the game began, thrived, and ended
please do tell, I was about to share a different theory, though would wait to hear yours first 🙂
Actually it will take really long (like I have to make a docs for it
)
Please don’t be afraid to post super long theories they’re very fun to read
Wait I have to rest as I thought of this as my mind wondered while I was sleeping
so I’ll be sending my theory as soon as I’m done with it.
What’s the topic?
Take your time, we’ll be waiting!
So uh, what’s the topic
Not much rn! Whatever you want it to be
say, @oak axle
Don't stress about the length. you can always share parts of your theory if you want.
If you think a doc is better, I don't see any problems with that.
new theory:
Those who remember the dark theory of the forest temple being a possible place of death to mantas/butterflies being made into power diamonds (batteries)?
Welp, I poked around the images and noticed a two telling details. I'll keep it short:
- The first image is the forest temple's concept art. This might have been the early concept for forging power diamonds from raw dark stone.
- The second image is an early concept art for Golden Wasteland's refinery (the broken temple that is familiar to the forest temple with the first krill you encounter).
Now this might not change the outcome of the poor light creatures involved, though could clarify which elder made the diamonds, and which one was responsible to keeping them charged.
Wasteland is an industrial realm, so it is possible it would be like a power station to fuel the diamonds. Which may explain why the ships would dock there, so that they can get a fresh supply of power before taking off to Eden.
Interesting how the worker has the King’s symbol, that implies this was something done under his rule or by his command. I also like their little gloves
i mean, he was the, king. its very possible that some places sold king merchandise./s
but its also concept art so its not good evidence for the current incarnation of the world of sky, you can use it to come up with new ideas but its just not great evidence on its own (and its not proof of anything either)
alright, back to looking up more reasons to hate Edison
According to the image's metadata, the one you are showing was tagged as world building. That and it is likely very early concept art, so might have changed over time.
Either way, it is fun exploring theories.
Yes! If anything looking over concept art can be illuminating towards what kinds of design aspects and thematic elements had been considered for the game as it was being made, which I personally think is really cool as an artist myself. It’s also awesome to see all the technical aspects of color language and things like that which may not be directly included in the game, but had an influence on it moving forward.
(my suggestion would be to use the concepts like wikipedia, use it as a starting point for research but not as the actual evidence of theories)
Oh no I wasn’t implying anything or trying to theorize, just was stating what I thought it looked like and what might have been the original intent of the concept. Sorry I’m kind of a concept art freak over games I love picking apart and analyzing all the steps that lead to the end result of the game we have today
ohhhh ok
so you're studying the lore of how the game came to be!
Eye of Eden looks more like a white hole, spewing light and matter to somewhere. Might explain better than a black hole
Yeah, it’s like the total opposite of one. Black holes go inwards and that one goes outwards. Though we’re probably not talking about literal scientific black holes here, it’s still fun to think about how the role of different celestial bodies might play in Sky’s world building
“Lore regarding moth?”
- A friend
How do moth be born doe
Maybe it is going supernova since it is the biggest power diamond in the game.

Ok but what do be moth lore? Where do they be coming from?
GUYS NEW SKID LORE
also what’s the currently agreed upon wasteland lore?
There was a war and it is an industrial realm.
Makes sense
Any posts or messages that go into more detail?
There are plenty, you can search some.
Other theories in clude the batlefeild had two sides. The diamonds and the star/sun (wasteland elder's side)
It looks like it goes supernova up once you've completed eye of Eden and all these twinkling lights appear
hm? Goodness, if that random theory has solid ground, that would be interesting.
Yes!
I believe the star/sun symbol represents nature/natural light where as the diamond represents the Sky with power exploited from Nature - in the form of diamonds. May be a fight between industrialists and nature lovers of ancient sky world
frog
Black holes aren't that bad for a universe, they don't really expand and planets can spin around them just as they would around a sun.
There's just a limit to which you can approach them, after which you reach the event horizon and are forced to fall into their gargantuan mass.
Black holes actually lose particles over time, but it's so slow the first Black hole to die will probably do so after the last star died.
black holes technically are dying stars too
Oh, they are dead. And when black holes die, they explode too.
Idk if this is lore related but i always wondered what are those islands??
I think it's Isle of Dawn entrance personally
Saw a dude on youtube go there, turns out it's the intro murals from when you had it before entering dawn.
My theory: The Lost Ark at Golden Wasteland
Long ago, when I first visit the land of the lost ark, I visualized the idea of the stories behind it. The idea of the lost ark, was about the remaining incidents of its crashed site and as I anticipated its particular quest, which it was all about the orbs so... My only guess is that the Krill attacked their ship and crash landed on that site before it was a barren wasteland. It could've been the reason why the Krill is still on top of the mountains near the entrance we've been going. I tried to anticipate the Krill if its going to attack me or not, and as a result: still very dangerous.
The remaining stories of the lost ark was that the orbs were sent to the other realms in order to avoid any Krill's attempt to destroy it. One of its reasons is that the orbs, could be the remaining source of energy that was the key to the temple of the Golden Wasteland, which brought the ancestral guardians to fight against the Krill in order to hold them off as long as they can fight, which resulted as a deceiving moment of truth. Sadly whenever I reconnect the past, its majestic beauty went shattered by darkness, corrupting the remaining people into stone.
In the end, those Orbs were sent away in order to retrieve by the Child (us), and as the Ark's final resting place... knowing that their happiness remains a wasteland filled with hope and salvation because of us.
Okay hi I’m back
4 Generation Theory
(How Seasonal Events show the Beginning, Thriving, and Ending of the civilization in Sky)
Oki! So this theory that I thought of is the “4 Generation Theory” where it theorizes on how civilization in Sky began, thrived, and what led to its end and how it ended.
Of course there would be four parts: 1st Gen being the beginning of civilization, 2nd Gen being the thriving of civilization or “The Golden Era”, and 3rd being “The Silent Era” as civilization started to settle down, and 4th being “The End” as civilization.
But before we can even go on: a Disclaimer must be said!
DISCLAIMER: Beta and Collab Seasons are excluded from this theory for reasons like “This theory works for Live only” and Collab Seasons don’t have any relevance to the Sky’s Lore
So the relevant seasons will be the following: Gratitude (Summer), Lightseekers, Belonging, Rhythm, Enchantment, Sanctuary, Prophecy, Dreams, and Assembly. (Flight will be added as soon as it has already begun)
——1st Generation: The Birth of Civilization——
—The Timeline—
Lightseekers:
(Since there isn’t a specific plot that was recorded in the Wiki fandom page, I had to improvise)
While Skylins (Spirits before they came to be) became to be and before the places were what we know in the current Sky Timeline, there was a time where the Lightseekers discovered the light as it powered up the whole Vault of Knowledge (or “Library of Wisdom” as it was called during this time) while it was still barren to the bones.
That light was actually found between Golden Wasteland (or back then was called the “Golden Paradise“) and “Library of Wisdom,” no one knew where and when it came from, but all of them knew that it gave way to a certain group of traders and salesmen: Gratitude.
⬇️
Gratitude:
With technology evolving fast, so did the transportation for goods and stock, to which six traders and salesmen took advantage of to get their sales in full circle.
First one happened to be in the Isle of Dawn (which was previously known as ”Dawn Village” as it was a hotspot for trades and sales) and another one in Daylight Prairie (or “Daylight Empire”) and in Hidden Forest (Or the “Forest of Caves” as it was the source of all technology back then). Each one of them was very well known thanks to the newest addition of technology, thus being thankful about it for their highest stocks.
As this was a good time for traders, it was also good for the economy and civilization as they are slowly going up to their all time high. A perfect scenario for another certain group of prophets: Prophecy.
⬇️
Prophecy:
Prophets or the Elemental Prophets actually predicted the whole thing back then, meaning that they predicted the rise of technology (it being something of Industrial Revolution in Sky) and the rise of trade. But in the midst of what seemed to be “The Bright Future of Civilization,” They also predicted “The Dark Fall of Civilization.”
One of the prophets, specifically the first Fire Prophet, told of a story where civilization will end in darkness as they were giving their predictions to the King and Prince of Eden (which was previously known as “The Kingdom of Eden”). In their story, Golden Paradise became a wasteland thanks to war that is predicted to happen thanks to a purge by the dark creatures, Valley of Triumph (or “Victory Highs”) will crumble in the dust of history, Forest of Caves will rain harmful substance that will injure anyone who goes under the rain (whether the person is flying or even walking) thanks to the said wasteland’s pollution, and Eden will become a “Blackhole” of some sort, which stroked fear and nervousness between the royals and the prophets themselves.
But years after the Fire Prophet’s prediction has been told, it was also forgotten for a long time in history as a new Era came in: The Golden Era of Civilization
Does anyone know if the seasonal guides have names, and if they do, what are they?
Only Gratitude, Lightseekers, and Belonging don’t have that I think, but they (the rest of the seasonal guides) do have names
as in actual names? Or just "[Season] Guide"
Honestly I call the Prophecy Guide “Chad”
Mr.Anubis :)
Mr. Anubis
“Hello? Yes sir? May I kindly take that mask off of your face? no? too bad.”
(Continuing)
——2nd Generation: The Thrive of Civilization——
—The Timeline—
Rhythm:
In came the Golden Era of Civilization in Sky, many trades were established, many settlements have been pinned down as population started to increase once more, and of course: many festivals were celebrated as Victory Highs has made a new race for those who prefer the new technology that is called “Light Capes”, a type of clothing that Skylins use to warm up during events that are happening in Victory Highs for example, and use to fly solo without having to own or even rent a boat to get to where they wanted to go (which what Sky kids use in the current Sky timeline).
But all of this also piqued a certain group of entertainers to start a show in the Arena: Rhythm.
With this, the era continued to stay as entertainers (Rhythm being the most popular coming from Victory Highs) went around the six realms, inspiring young Skylins and amazing the traders and families alike. All of them, including Gathering and Dreams.
⬇️
Gathering and Dreams:
(These are more of Miscellaneous events in this era rather than important)
A family group (Gathering) was actually looking around for a settlement and the infamous Rhythm (as rumors are heard to tell that they are in what now seems to be the Hidden Forest as slowly yet surely that coal fueled technology is deemed to be inferior compared to the light fueled technology that we, the Sky kids know of), as a family bonding experience, but instead they found a place called the Sunny Forest (previously known as “Gathering’s Home”) and thankfully got to see one of the Rhythm before they finally settle as a family.
A girl (Dreams), on the other hand, was inspired by one of the Rhythm members (specifically Festive Spin Dancer) and Twirling Champion of the Lightseekers (as they were known for winning many sliding races back in his time) and began to practice skating to which everyone in her village supports whole heartedly. She became a professional figure skater and even got recognition by the Rhythm, which she hung out with before settling back in her home in Village of Dreams.
As all of this have happened, it was sadly the end of the Golden Era, welcoming the Silence Era of Civilization.
—3rd Generation: The Silence of Civilization—
—The Timeline—
After an era of light and laughter, everything began to dim and quiet down as the new technology became the norm
So what happened to civilization in this era, you asked?
Well, nothing major really happened albeit called the Miscellaneous Era, but! But but! A couple of kids from Assembly and people from Sanctuary have stories to tell.
Assembly and Sanctuary:
A group of kids actually found the Hidden Forest as it was completely abandoned for the majority of the Golden Era thanks to the now norm technology. They found a large treehouse and slowly began to make it a second home before making three more for those that wanted some time away from the large treehouse.
Sanctuary Islands were where people took vacations as sometimes there were hardships in work around the six realms.
Nothing really has changed majorly, unexpectedly entering into the last and most important era: The End of Civilization.
Hey lore chat! What's the topic?
Dunno but I’m continuing my theory on how seasonal events explain the end of civilization
I’m writing the last part of my theory
Ooohh I see! I suppose I can brainstorm some ideas to support that theory
——4th Generation: The End of Civilization——
—Timeline—
Lightseekers:
As time flew by, so did the light resources for Lightseekers to keep in what is now called Vault of Knowledge, causing a resource crisis in all of the six realms.
Dawn Village now hoards their potions and candle stocks as those are made of light resources. Many started to take refuge in Sanctuary Islands, leaving Dawn Village what is known today: Isle of Dawn.
Daylight Prairie loses energy for their boats to even work, which affects a certain group of people: Enchantment. (Which will be explained as to how they are at the end of this segment)
Hidden Forest starts to rain down acidic substances that actually harm those without the cape as their shield for an extended amount of time before taking damage as well.
Valley of Triumph (after being renamed thanks to the high population) began to be deserted and crumbled down as problems started to rise, which is difficult to run on the audience as it is the realm of Entertainment.
Golden Paradise became Golden Wasteland as the crisis turned into war against the uprising of numbers of the dark creatures as at that time there was no evidence or witness of them existing during the previous era.
Lastly, Vault of Knowledge was thrown into a flame of insults and threats as they were found out to be the reason for the high number of dark creatures: sucking the lights out of the creatures and even harming them just for the fun of it.
After the six realms have wreaked havoc, so did the Kingdom of Eden. In its final moments, the Prince (now King) tried to make a new resource for energy, but sadly… like what the Fire Prophet has said… Eden will become a blackhole.
And so it did, which also ended the Kingdom of Eden, now known as the Eye of Eden.
As this era continues on, many started to die out… calling it the “Dark Death” as only few have survived.
And those few happened to be Enchantment
⬇️
Enchantment:
With no more power in the ark that they rode on, they had no other choice but to settle down and put up their store as they were the last traders and settlement, not that they know of.
Without any communication or news on what happened outside where they are living, they had no choice but to have hope there is someone around to buy their potions… or even at least talk to them…
They all disappeared, one by one, and that was the final end to the civilization itself.
As for those that tried to get to sanctuary islands? There were no use, the reason is unknown.
@round parrot start from here as I’m done
Okk
ok
wait y’all are still reading?

i finished already
Omg-
I’m shook and nervous about my theory
it sounds cool
Really??
thank you
you are welcome
I'm new to sky lore. Does anybody have any theories about Eden elder?
Goodness Gracious me, @oak axle
You were not kidding about how much you typed up for your theory.
I like how you included other theories to yours. This is a great theory. 🪶
Thank you for taking the time to share your Thoery.

Thank you, it kinda kept me all night thinking about it
The eden elder is the only elder not physically present in the game, though seemingly not forgotten by the other elders given his mural does show up last in the all elders cut scene in Vault.
The Eden elder, or King, is known for his diamond symbology as well as having a glowing symbol for a head in the few murals of him (see the mural that is under the office portal. The head is hidden jnder the island)
Other potential murals of him (that are not confirmed canon) includes the prophecy cave murals, and the giant statues in the point of no return area of Eden as well as fhe first part of theascension to Orbit.
Does anyone know what bird the admiring actor mask is? People on #questions-and-help said I should ask here
You are in the right place, that sounds like a lore based question.
Most bird symbols would refer to the Megabird.
Megabird is the divine deity of Sky, giver of life and light (flame).
You can see the megabird depicted in the game, either in Orbit when you look up, or check the water pond around the portal to the Office.
Oh ok
I know the other rhythm mask but not with Admiring Actor's mask. Unlike the other masks, they didn't have the name of the bird which was the inspiration so I was pretty curious on what bird is Admiring Actor's
I was looking into it as you typed it, lol.
I am not certain what their names are exactly, as I am struggling to find their in game names.
(I'll update this when I find them) Not sure where the ingame names are. 😦
@rugged barn
I know it was nicknamed as the stork mask, or just bird mask. Though one youtube video calls it a Finch mask
they dont have canon names,or are you asking bout fanon names?
why are people suddently writing essays?
Similar to how the spirits have their names, I was looking to see what their cosmetics are callled.
For example with the season of Prophecy, you see a turtle mask, bat mask, spider mask, lion mask, and then the guide's masks that looks like anubis. Though that is what they look like, I cannot confirm it being the case if the game does not show what the devs would call them.
Another example, this mask of the Sassy drifter from season of Gratitude, is supposedly called a Weasel mask. Though it was also called a fox mask, or even a cat mask.
Without the ingame name for them, it gets tricky to guarantee what the name of a cosmetic is.
It was a big theory.
Is it ok to type it out like that, or rather make long theories in docs to attach to posts?
Tbh I thought that the lil prince would actually ded bc as we saw before in the previous quest, krills don't want him. Krills attack "beings of light" like our sky kids and manta. So when I saw his going to eden I was a little worried. I did not think that normal humans could reincarnate and turn into statues like we could. I think this is vital to the lore.
its just a joke
What do yall think?
The little prince is an exception to the lore. That and in his book, the prince supposedly can come back after death.
I am not sure if the final quest is out or not, so will be diplomatic:
With the fifth quest, where the prince meets the krill. The prince did seem to have been taken by the krill, though when you complete the quest, you see the prince was fine and heading to the top of Eden.
A worrying detail since the skykid is forced to back track because of the wind and go the long way around.
Seem like the little prince is very determined and would even pass through wind walls to get the answers to his question.
Dang he is determined and will literally die to get his answers
That is the worrying part of the little prince.
Giving some skykids grey hairs from worrying about his naive self.
Thx lol
People: sad that the little prince walks to his demise
Me, who read the book:
I really like the theory that the Vault of Knowledge being a library means it gets stories from everywhere, and turns out they have a copy of the Little Prince as a memory diamond (or whatever you call what fills their shelves) which skykids managed to turn on. It's a kid's story that's somewhat relevant to the game, so perhaps enough of them like it for it to be a season.
OK. I'll try to see if it matches.
Edit: It seems like it can go by both. The beak does look like stork and finch's beak. But the mask has a much thinner beak so for now I guess I'll call it mega bird mask for now😅
Someone in Orbit asked the Vault Elder how to turn on these memory diamonds and they used their powers for evil by giving us feelings.
Suggestion:
I compared it and aside from the length, it actually matched. So I guess it's a crow/raven mask. (They look similar to me)
I theorised it (TLP season) was something like the vault members creating their wisdom and shaping it in such a way that they somewhat make LP and rose, all of that, and LP is like a version of them when the rose is like the spouse/child-ish/someone significant (platonic or not) and the Prince's determination arises from guilt of sorts (discovering rose is ephemeral + more questions which Vault members wanted to ask but know that the world wouldn't do so, so they took the task on their own).
Why? Because in my understanding-ish, separate hc (maybe not canon), the original (5) vault spirit's close members died out of exhaustion--the telekinesis for instance/heavy weight in 4p by getting crushed(?). The vault spirits let their close ones do it (the members who thought they'd survive and stuff and took pride in knowing whatever they knew and believed in themselves) but they died and all of the spirits, in sorrow, they just...made TLP and rose + others (from their perspective because they wanted to add that, one seasonal spirit each from their memory but one got interesting so they decided to add one more).
Obviously there could be a lot of flaws but yes
@frozen pivot
I know this a bit unrelated, will delete it if need be.
Did you leave " frog🐸 " in today's shrine quest at broken temple?
frog
Hmmm guys... Do you think that in the game we're the stars who fell, or are we some other kind of creature who're helping the fallen stars? 🤔
