If one is following the story of The little prince, the starry desert might represent the section on the book about the Prince meeting the pilot, or that the Prince has not yet met the pilot and instead arrived in our world.

If the prince were to explore our world, we may as well do what we can to not let him in Eden. It might corrupt his innocent soul!

Okay so I was in wasted and just past the shipwreck area and went left to collect wax and seen a shield with a spear through it, and we know that no known darkness creature wields a weapon, what if everything wasn’t just about the darkness creatures taking over, but an underlying story of betrayal? to me, these 6 don't seem to be man made. The catapult one even has the diamond eyes seen on some spirits that don't have masks. The devs also said that unnatural death leaves corpses, so bones like the whale bones in forest, the supposed whurtle bones in gw graveyard (where the catapult is), the manta bones where we get the spirit manta call in vault, and any other bones likely mean unnatural death. I think these statues are also supposed to be sort of like corpses, but maybe more like the corpses of the pompeii victims.

My head canon is the hearts are forged from light similar to how candles are forged from wax.
While a spirit trades only once, a skykid can trade hearts as many times as they have enough candles to do so.

i see everyone say that the prince is the one who passed all of the trials and is the golden child we see in the murals. But has anyone considered that that golden figure could be us? I mean, think about it, we meet all of the requirements, we complete the trials and turn golden at the end. We give light back to the realms. we ascend eden and meet all of the elders. I mean, I'm all for the prince being the one who fulfilled the prophecy but like, we only see 8 students of the trials, and all of them died in/failed the trials according to the murals. Asides from seeing the prophecy be fulfilled, what other business do the prophecy spirits have for staying? Once we complete all of the trials, they can be free again. I really think we should consider that the golden child we see in those murals is ourselves.

So here's some juicy lore about the history of Sky.
I love how TGC gave us a crumb for lore to complete it.

So its about lore of spirits...everyone died due to a storm caused by the Crystal in Eye of Eden. Let's call this the "Era of Eden".

So during the era of Eden, the Dark creatures started to mutate and seemed to create more destructive creatures like Krills. This has caused a war to happen (=giving birth to golden wasteland).

The people in the Vault who experiment powers like the crystals you light up try to invent a stronger weapon to defend themselves from the creatures and that is the Eden Diamond.

So the Eden Diamond succeeded but then went corrupt due to a form of Dark Material (what Dark Water or plants are made of) being in contact with it.

And this created an entire storm killing a lot of people in the process.

Every other area of sky leads me to believe the past civilization focused on handcrafted goods and trades, so the factory design of GW is so odd to me. Tbh the aviator never meets a Skykid in the book, so meeting them would be weird imho.
This allows for an extension to the story and so can fit before the navigator meets the Prince

the way i see it is, starlight desert is the tlp's universe. my hc is that due to the decay more and more tears appear, the first one being archive, then theres the established gateway being office, and now a gateway opened up to tlp's universe

basically venturing thr 4th wall made canon cus vault weird, spirits was made somewhat similar to the characters in tlp

vain man, businessman etc

when u enter office, its supposed to look like u did appear on earth

I sorta leave the office out of sky because it feels separate from sky, like the Nintendo area, that they are there just to update news or to get some money

welp i think its fun to try and make sense of it all, cus of all the places, why vault? why all the weird space timey alt universe shenanigans appear in vault? why not somewhere hidden in valley or in isle?

I feel like it's in vault cause 1. Vault is space like and 2. It's the last level (before Eden) so people can experience sky best then start discovering those area

i doubt its a coincidence either, theres literally 6 other realms they couldve chucked those places in like expansion maps

maybe, probably. who knows

I feel like starlight is part of sky. Theres eden n mantas and a spirit whos trying to study the strange alien

I like to think that the people who work in the office, canonly exist in sky. And they are the gods of the game
