Ooh~
the citadel referring to prairie or the large building with the elder in it
or valley and I’m just dumb
It's the place in Valley before the flying race.
With the weird golden circly thing. What is that thing, anyways?
right yes can we get butterfly calls
What is popping
Lore chat has finally calmed down
I think it’s called an Orrery or something, idk
What does it do, though?
the thing in Valley, with the gold rings rotating
I have absolutely no idea lol
I need to know!!
Just chatting about the Valley citadel.
it reminds of old astronomical tools, used in ancient times to study stars and the passing of seasons
Ahh my fav place.
With the astronome? Or something?
Oooh~ That would make sense, since the stars were important to them.
So it's a sort of ancient time telling device? Maybe people could read it like a clock and from that they'd know what the date was.
from the first comment I use in this reply reika started talking about Citadel and slums, but here is the full quote
i can spill some beans on what i was thinking when i made the citadel though
it doesn't have much to do with the actual sky lore itself but--
in my mind, the mountain is kind of like a dormant volcano
or made in abyss if anyone else is also a fan
and the whole tower actually goes all the way down
it's a bit dark, but what you see above the clouds is actually just the tip and its where all the riches live
and the areas under the clouds where the lights dont reach
mainly the inner walls
are kind of like the slum
although there isn't any meshes to show that because its an expensive level HAHA
but yes
its outwardly pretty and extravagant
but it's also supposed to be hiding the slums too
since valley is the peak of civilization
there's also a side to it thats also not pretty
and the tip of the tower that you see
is like the top of the top
so scholars
since technology and knowledge is so valued
and the scholars that reside there uses the the armillary sphere to study the night sky!
What happened to the grass :’)
It died. (• _ •)
highly suspicious
I hope we get some lore in the fall season. No doubt this season will be useless on that front, since it's about the Little Prince.
~~Attila, king of the Huns, put Salt on it to avoid to to grow back ~~
well, it can give us one thing
the Twins jumpsuit
which means there was a class of athletes like the gladiators
Now you can truly roleplay them. Almost.
We just miss their triangle mask + the whitest wash of that jumpsuit
Do you think they could change the ground of the colliseum? Since it changed after Dreams.
Mmmm. back then it made sense, because the season was in that realm, but after all they recently changed little bits here and there soo, who knows
The intro tunnel in Isle, the passage from Isle to Prairie, retouching something in Eden
Hey, do you think the people during Isle's time were nomadic? Since they had a bunch of tents.
dear god they took the seeds with them
I think they did, many pointed out how the evolution of the civilization can mimic the life-growinup theme showed in the Office walls
In the Switch trailer they also show some of them traveling. Maybe they were making a pilgrimage to the temple? Since it's a place of worship.
so isle is more primitive than prairie, as the kid birth with childhood
It could be,yeah
Wait. Is Forest rainy because teenagers are moody?
Another little lore thing they can give us is the new scholar hat, so maybe we might understand something more about them
Hmm~
I think because they start to find hardships, thus our energy easily drained, but you can have a point too
Sadness was even a theme Assembly, the Lone Scout was left alone after his friends went away (maybe grew ups)
Why do you think the weather is always so rainy there? From the perspective of the civilization. Did something happen to the weather?
Also, crabs first start appearing there.
children dying of starvation and abandonent, yes very sad
that was not sarcasm it was very sad
some people theorize that it has to do with pollution
I tend to think that each area is affected by the storm, whether it be just more clouds and wind, or rain and erosion
Hi Lore gang
what are we talking about
Has the storm always been there?
hi i dont really understand the lore of sky but after seeing the nintendo trailer am more interested (ive played the game for a while and have every realm unlocked but i never looked into the story too deeply) so where would i start with that?
I think yesterday we discussed how the boatman looked like an old version of the isle elder and how the manta thing has a spotlight like the krill
mantas have spotlights?
Not usually, just the one in the trailer. The domesticated one acting as a ride
ohhhhhh
btw do the elders have canon names? ive seen ppl calling them different names so i was wondering where that came from
I don’t think so, some people are pretty certain about a few names relating to the Hebrew alphabet I think???
But that was only included in the concept art
Krill do..
Krill are Dark dragon's, so naturally there'd be light-dragons too. I think of krill as the dark skykid when you lose you energy
Their light version might not look like the krill at all though
I'm still catching up on this chat, but I've been seeing a lot of people say that the travellers in the trailer came from Vault to Isle, but I think the video makes it pretty clear that they entered Isle from the same direction we do. They emerge from the same tunnel we go through and arrive at isle looking at the landscape from the same perspective we do upon exiting the tunnel/cave. So that would mean that there used to be a forest in the area where we first spawn into before we go through the cave.
That's so cool.
Also, people are convinced that the thing they're riding is a pre-krill, and I like that idea, but I'm not convinced because the size and overall anatomy doesn't seem right to me. I think it's a similar species but not the same.
I'm really fascinated by the bell hermit crabs. They're very unlike current crabs, especially with all of those eyes (if they are eyes.) And the fact that they are carrying bell tops makes me wonder in what order the bells came compared to the crabs. The bells probably came first because hermit crabs pick up a shell to live in, but that raises the question of where they found all of those bells. We don't see any in Isle.
Yeah I think they flew over from another continent
isn't the text for isle to follow the bells toll or has that been changed
See my theory: #lore-discussion-spoilers message
Or, the sea level used to be lower and there used to be more land before it rose
love the you are the king theories
So was rewatching the trailer and: got some shots and thoughts.
- We see constellations in the very first scene! That the stars were living in their place in sky properly!
Hence constellations were defined before they fell! Ans yet we see one constellation rule one realm. So I think there is more to star folk about where they come from. There is a reason certain spirits are in certain constellations and why they chose specific places to reside. (Might have something to do with those giant astroscopes(?) in valley)
- There exists a deserted area from where the travelling kids come. We see a lamp mid desert set by travellers as they approach a "midnight sun"
- The kid is riding a flying animal and get is absolutely fascinated by mantas and it's as if the kid wants to reach them/ fly like them. Hence they can't really fly is what I believe and the ambition is foreshadowing
- (Sorry for the bad shot lmao)
We see them trying to turn on the lights and it goes berserk. Cause they can't control it well yet.
The light bugs spill out and scare literally every thing every creature.
Also they look like premature butterflies.
- As the crab(?) hide we see yellow shrooms but the thing is there are these blue ones sprouting as soon as the butterflies pass
(slight interjection.. just noticed from your screenshots that the blue mushrooms are the colour of the dark plants we burn now) sorry sorry carry on Resh this is intriguing

What I also noticed is these kids are seeing the new world for the first time.
They have began colonising for sure. But even they show all the signs of "negative" possible things that we expected the star folk to have done
At first I got the impression that these natives were light benders and all and star folk couldn't use light and wrecked it all.
But on second watch I felt they began what starfolk continued.
Yet they are pretty different from starkind. They certainly resemble elders.
So I will still maintain that the elders are from the original race and the star kind fell and colonised a already colonised place.
The ark spirits looked like star kind so yes they were star kind. They were probably the merchants that didn't change much. They sold the items between the two sides probably or went hunting for or possessed the items of older ancestors and traded them
It is also possible that there is a world different from sky.. where they came from and where ark went for supplies. Where the remaining ancestor folk shifted to after stars came and conquered
I maintain king is king of star kind. GW probably was king's strong hold and place of extreme influence which would make sense that ark is there now cause there are no old ancestors there.
I think the last star that fell is probably the first sky kid. The sky kid now developed ability to use the light.
Old ancestors used light bugs which we saw turned to butterflies by star folk.
Light manipulation was evolving.
And by us it's a level where we did achieve flight like this kid in trailer wanted
So even though there exist different species the goal was more or less a bit aligned.
To become like the flying mantas and light creature manipulation.
There methods may have been the cause of rift. Leading to disagreements and wars.
A possible end justifies means vs means justify end kinda deal
So like a nature sustained yet light achieved vs juice the mantas
I also maintain the fact that elders all have reactions to us having achieved the light. And then coming back to them. It's the very thing that destroyed worlds and they saw things getting waay too bad.
Their reactions are to this kid that resembles the other tribe and them a bit and having achieved the very ambition that caused it all
It might be pollution or maybe the Elder a forecast witch (controlling rain and thunders 👱♀️ 🔨 ), but it could be perfectly natural
Irl the trees change their microclimate, making it cooler with their shades and rain can usually happen when warm and cool streams meet, as if the trees try to trigger the cloud to feed them, or at least get more chances to have rain (looking at you, Rainforest)
Eden is okay meaning things were still in balance. And now my doubts are stronger that they slapped a diamond to fix stuff
Spirits that fell just took their ambitions waaaytoo far
Heya people
What y'all talkin bout I wanna join
Also low key thinking that kid may be king. (Or atleast an early leader of fly movement)
(I am lore dumping my thoughts)
Maybe the child of light, as foretold by the prophecy.
Am level mode infinite confusion
Someone give some large context on what's going on
Child of light is us I think. Cause we see all these star folk attempting the trials and not succeeding cause they couldn't control light.
It's the switch trailer you can find it in the pins
Oh okay
I hope that helps lmao cause thats what I am lore dumping on :3
Also I have theory on how the game reflects the real life
@lofty rover It's all pretty interesting

True an embodiment of us in this unique journey... to restore the light.
The whole thing is .. humanoid things yearned manta powers and light.
And then star folk fell (and ohhhh booooy that is going to be a huge lore on its own I am calling it right now) and they were all.. Kay let's join this party then
What we see is star descendants (?) / left spirits trying to make use of a dying civilisation left to them.
They hope to break from this world frozen in time.
i just saw the trailer-... BRO THIS IS FIRE

ma'am do us a favor and just put this in a funky book because all your theories are good
I uh.. thank you (shy)
not me greedily reading all the theories and taking screenshot to read later

Also I sus that the whole realm with specific time of day is a reason why they are like that. They have been deliberately frozen at that specific time.
And uh.. damn it I am blanking out too many thoughts.
I have mild doubts that diamond tech was not native and pretty much star kind trademark. But then again I am not sure since I definitely think the kids and elders look similar. (The long hair kid is practically baby Teth/Forrest unni)
Each realm right now is stuck in a state of day/ mind. Yes they have goods and bads but doesn't change they are frozen in that time spirits included.
Elders are sneeping for sure. And they hold powers to ascend.
Also interesting how seasonal leaders could ascend without temples meaning star folk could gain that power but not enough to elder
Also these people are not pure creatures of light!
Hence they envied the mantas and wanted it.
They played with life and hence the whole chain of life and death (Eden) got off balanced.
The Eden storm or whatever is because they are playing with actual life.
Bet they slapped a factory there to juice the power of ascending creatures or something.
Which wrecked stuff.
They put diamond but it needed a light source which we gave.
Voila baking soda volcano of ascension
Also I think star folk had their own thing going on in the skies. They will have more drama I am calling it right now.
I guess I ran out of juice and I need to cr cause broke.
So that's all for now?
Gonna rewatch it a few times and may come up with something else entirely lmao.
Happy thinking Lore :3
There are two different symbols on the shields in battlefield, does that reflect the war between the natives and the stars?
i think so
also, have we seen starfolk before?
Ah no, that’s more of a theory than anything
Starfolk= stars that fell
Probably current spirits or their ancestors
Also yes I sus the two shields are two sides too
Wanna hear everyone?
As you can see
Isle of dawn is all about the new players and baby steps and things
Just like when human babies are born, they learn, play, have fun and etc
Next is daylight prairie
Daylight is really fun and cozy (pun intended) thought there are some tiny little dangers (the crabs and the geyser water) but you can easily learn how to avoid the dangers, plus you can meet new friends on the way!
Next the hidden forest
Hidden forest is slightly dangerous cus of the poison rain ( whenever it rains in the real world and people who are out can get sick ) there are crabs and poisonous rain, and if you stand in the rain for TOOO long your wing light will start disappearing (yk what I mean) and it can end us but if you lose only a bit of wing light you will be fine and recover (just like when cold people get recover from the cold )
And there are shelters you can stay in! (And irl if people are hella kind they will let you in they're house until the rain stops )
Next is valley
Valley isn't dangerous at all
It's all fun!
There is snow, races, a friendly yeti and many more!
It's adventures like people in real life who want to explore
Next is golden wasteland..
Everything is sad, broken, dangerous, things that can kill you
Like in the real world there are many things (which am not gonna list) that can kill you, the world might be all fun and games but it's not
Like the real world and golden wasteland have so many similarities like krills
But in the real world
There is sharks, venomous snakes, tigers, lions, killer whales and many more dark things
Next is vault
Vault is about learning and hard work (prob idk how to explain it) just like in real life
You have to work hard for your money and learn hard to get a good paying job (somethin like that)
And the game sky focuses on marine life
In the home space you can a tiny pond kind of thing that has fishes on them and the home space is in a whole entire ocean
Just like Isle of dawn and the trial of water and somewhat ice trial
But in golden wasteland the lakes are black and covered in bad things
Like people throw their trash and plastics in the ocean/lakes and etc
And nothing can live in the golden wasteland lakes
And no marine life can live in such dirty water
Next is.. ||eye of Eden||
One of the most dangerous realms..
Every single human/child of light has died/fallen in ||Eden||
And in the real world people die from alot of things...
Now that's my theory on how sky reflects the real world
Ik ik it's one of the most dumbest theory and longest and boring theory
It’s really nice
we did 👁️👄👁️
i'm really starting to be interested about the sky lore, i think i will come her more often to read a bit
I wanna see how the sky switch trailer impacted the lore 👀
Woah
ok i came to see lore flood because of the nintendo game trailer but i guess im too late huh?
Same
pathetic
Hmm
OK OK AAAAAAA FIRST THING CAME T MY MIND IS
the boy in the trailer is actualy saluting firesticc guy in gw
As you see, the kid is a traveler
so does the saluting guy, since he is a sailor
sdfghjk
but yea dude, he could be
we can releat the guys in the trailer to spirits since it says "Bfore stars fell", which means possibly when those spirits were alive
I know our skykids are made of light, but reading upwards in the chat about starfolk does that mean the pre-everything-being-screwed-up kids are biological? Are they the same or diffrent races or maybe a mix??
I think spirits were just like us, humans
we can see in vault that they can also die (in praying lady's room)
Sky kids are comleetly different race than spirits. First of all, their reason to come to sky kingdom is returning light. So like they are not like humans, they dont grow nor die.
The game devs actually based the design of each realm alot on the 7 stages of life (newborn, child, teenage, etc)!
They came to fix everything, which means they werent existant before that idiot resh guy yeeted everything
ALSO ALSO
THIS DUDE
pre krills? good krills? I wanna think that they are krills but our krills lost thier light. Kinda like we do if we stand in the rain, but the krills wanna get back the light but monching on sky kids isnt enough i suppose
E x c u s e m e ?
the fact it has a mouth is so cool and terrifies me
So my theory was right after all
Mamta krill ;-; or idk. I wanna see it some time in game xD
IM NOT SORRY YOU MONARCHIST
WAIT THAT SOUNDED WRONG IM SORRY YK WHAT I MEANT
i think we named them "Light krills" because they dont look like whales or mantas
HERETIC
Fair enough.
reminds me of that longggggggg boi in the high levels of the vault, maybe just the dead light krills spirits v i b i n
Light and Dark dragons 👀 i wonder...
REJECT THAT KENG
RETURN ORBIT
yes, that's a possibility
What caused darkness anyways... And the fall of the stars
Or is darkness already a given because of light?
sky kids always exist, but we are like Sky kids 2.0
YOU'RE JUST MAD THAT HE'S SO COOL >:(
did all the structures deteriorate becuase of neglect or the fact that the starfolk fell into them XD
HE IS A FRICCIN SIGNAL TOWER
Sounds painful falling into those xD
Lol chaos
YEAH, A SIGNAL TOWER OF RAW AMAZING-NESS AND M I G H T
Many words
just a question for you @sullen axle @nimble swan @obtuse igloo @thorny garden ... are you from other country that is not england or usa? because the people i met here is mayority from there
I'm from India dear
US
Ye
ok
I do like the theory that traveler kid became the king
ok
but that also means he made things all wack
Guys guys should TGC make a new realm?
ok
Depends.
Thats a lotta work doh
im not from usa or england
Yea
I think it wouldn’t add up to the lore...
but it’d be cool
new home portal, linking the realm next to it up, adding constallations, d e b u g
idk. another place in a realm, yes. another realm? for that I think that they would have to close the game for days to have the new realm without bugs and that things
Yea but uh anyways
Let's change the subject :D
proof that traveler kid and sky kids are diffrent races
||THeY hAvE fInGeRs||
T h e 🐛
they can make an underwater level before isle of ding dong to represent before birth, which can be reachable after first eden run
laughs in boogie dance kiddo
did you read my mind?
we have fingers too... but they are transparent like the fingers of The Powerful Girls
on n o
Here is what that dude did
ehem
1-He existed, mother orbit mercied all of the spirits and send them to the earth, giving each of them a body so they can be themselves and do the goods
2-He became keng
3-He helped the light industry to grow
4-no matter what
after this, i start to hateing him
we have h ä n d and then a thumb
5-He helped the big diamond thing to made
6-Diamond thing become nucleer bomb i guess and made the time stop, killed everyone
7-He got corrupted (idiot signal tower)
8-He became the stormitself and yeeted everything, and his beloved people (pathetic)
Hum
bet the red rain is pieces of the diamond shattering
Current theory for King timeline, Kamconian ver.
•Prince is an important part of the elders, they all watch over rebirth cycle
•Someone makes a mistake, and the Elders fall, long before the rest of the stars fall.
•Prince is taken in by two spirits and the other elders begin to continue ascending spirits to orbit from the ground.
•Prince is prophesied to enter the trials, so he does, and wins them, along with their elements.
•Prince gives the elements to the elders, and activated eden beam.
•The kingdom has a King and everything is great.
•Prince begins using forbidden darkstone to boost technology.
•Prince becomes self conscious and builds a false body.
•The realms begin to corrupt as darkstone production sacrifices a lot of light.
•The diamond in the beam overheats/malfunctions/over consumes and explodes eden castle, creating the storm.
•King’s false body is destroyed, he is left small and alone to face his actions and has no choice but to rebirth.
•His soul is used for a new race to rescue the trapped spirits and reinhabit the land for their own.
oooooo
so the Prince suffer karma...
it was a bug apparently.
I remember that. Its actually part of proph mural, turned on its side and stashed in sanct while they worked on the at the time, new season.
Also I have theory on why the trials are important to the player/us
Trial of water is all about patience and trying (all the realm are about trying and never giving up) you have to be patient to complete golden wasteland and finding all the spirits/ts it also looks like the valley races are also about patience
Trial of earth is about tenacity
Like golden wasteland and KIND OF vault
Now ice trial is all about PAIN- jk
Ice trial is about Harmony and heights
Vault and prairie is also about Harmony and heights prairie is full of calmness and harmony and the sanctuary has huge moutains and you have to climb/fly up to the moutain
Vault is about patience (somewhat) harmony and heights
Vault has alot of floors 1 to 7 seven floors and you have to light alot of candle thingys to get up to the top
Isle is also included here
Isle have the mout fuji and it takes patience to get up there and when you get up there it feels like heaven, relaxness and ofc harmony
Now trial of fire is about Bravery
Two realms are added here golden wasteland and ||eye of Eden|| golden wasteland has alot of krills that can you kill you, but if your brave and strong enough to get out safe/or even injured but got out of there you have mastered the skill of bravery and strength
||Eye of Eden|| is also about Bravery many many people have fallen here.. but atleast they were brave enough to enter Eden
And that's my theory it's kind of cringe and confusing so um yea sorry..
I know what you're talking about, the video is by antlerKid and I saw it in the video. heres a screenshot from it
either friendly vibin or eden and wasteland started a war-
And behind the Eden elder are the other elders?
yep
They def started a war for sure
They have hated each other in the past
ok. so this is what i gathered. So i think that ultimately there were once spirits all living in the kingdom as people, and after they died (as seen on the graves their souls are around thereish) they'd eventually get ascended to megabird by the spirit elders, as they "shepherded light" and spirits are described as "lost lights", and i will assume "lost" can have two meanings. 1. They are literally lost because for some godforsaken reason the elders can't shepherd them anymore. and 2. They are lost, as in, their lives are lost. they're dead. Anyway, so as the stars fell, as winged lights were previously referred to as stars, the winged lights are stars. If you look carefully in the place before the rebirth gate, in the sky, some of the stars give the same twinkle as winged lights do. I think that we should leave out outfits and also leave out candle wax, because ultimately i think they're just in-game stuff to keep people interested and the cosmetics and yeah we were meant to stay as moths. I think that the reason why we can fly higher as we get more winged lights is because the stars want to ascend and so the force of attraction to megabird are greater. If you observe, in orbit, we have a limit of only 7 wing wedges, which makes sense as without wing buffs, the maximum amount of wings you can get are 7 wedges. Wing buffs, cosmetics, and season OCCURENCES are all not part of the lore. The seasons are not part of the lore in the way that they are called seasons, however i would rather refer to them as things that reveal little snippets of the lore. I won't delve into why the elder's couldn't shepherd the light anymore, but it'd gotta be something to do with "the storm" which basically explains the whole reason why the golden wasteland is as it is and eden too, but that's a theory for something else. btw i'm not done i've just reached the word limit
That would explain the absolute mess in wasteland
But is it because eden stepped outta line or wasteland found him not worthy to rule
Tsad-uhhh I mean GW elder. Anyway. Hes holding the spear and the sun shield. Both are seen in the battle field, paired with the sword and the diamond shield. Meaning he would be holding something from both sides.
so anyway, after the stars fell and the storm came, the corrupt creatures all came and therefore the spirits couldn't guide themselves. In the early versions of the game, you'd lose stars as well as spirits, which would explain why spirits basically were grounded at some point because of all the dark creatures, which by the way can be found basically everywhere in sky. rain counts in this category too and if you look carefully when you're relieving the umbrella spirit if you stay too long in the rain the light fades out. so we were essentially made by megabird to act as a shepherd. Why megabird couldn't do it himself, i'm not entirely sure, but i don't understand gods. About the rebirth gate, I originally thought it had nothing to do with the lore, but now that i think of it, there were essentially thousands of spirits and stars that needed ascending. If it weren't for in game limits, we'd constantly have to ascend them all. And by the way, I'm gonna keep the existence of friends as between theory and game because there's a lot of things to friends on both sides, but for now i'm gonna keep it solo. So it makes sense. Also, get rid of homespace that has nothing to do with the lore.
Yes oh and don't forget
The Eden king was really really powerful
Powerful enough to make those creatures
Krills and fire trial creature
Poisonous water
And poisonous rain in forest
Not sure about the that.
Spear and round sheilds are consistent with the temple's side of the fight and then the other side were using diamond sheilds and blades.
maybe eden elder went insane and the rest were tryna protecc. Remind me of the "who broke it"
who broke eden elder?
LOL YEA
But Eden elder was insane
The sky Dev's: def not me
there's obviously beef between the tank and the eden elder but I wanna know why the elders are just calmly watching and not doing anything. I think they're siding with tank boi here
“i’m sorry but i saw tank elder near them la-“
That mural is just a piece of this one though
I dont think they wanna get involved with-whatever the hecc is going on
Kay y'all
Am a head out
PEACE
perhaps defeating the elders in a battle was more trials for eden elder
with the new nintendo switch trailer showing off life before the stars fell, it got me thinking that sky is actually just a dying universe and thats why the stars are falling. all the spirits we see and the elders? could very well be from generations ago. we are the dying stars viewing the lives before us
and i was also thinking that before the stars fell, the people couldve viewed the stars in a spiritual way and the sky in general, dubbing the children "sky children"
ik this theory is very Out There.... but it makes sense to me lol
I can get behind that, I recall a mention from a titter post that says the elder are not in their temples now.
So it implies they would be in a version of their temples that a ancestor can only access spiritually, or the elders were in their temples once in the past/future, but not in the present.
i think itd also explain why theres so little explanation for lore,, as it has probably lost its meaning through generations of retelling
but then again, where is the eden elder. and what is the link between eden and our instruments. They're the same symbol. Actually, no. It's not the symbol of eden. It's the symbol of The Light. If you look carefully, they're the same symbol, except one is more simplified. I think the reason why there's that link is because it sort of represents our individualism, however as i said earlier, this has nothing to do with the lore, and is perhaps just a clue that the devs left. If you look carefully too, the light is ultimately leading to the rebirth gate well that area anyway, which has led me to believe that megabird is both god and the eden elder. I will continue about the gods
That may be true.
It is also possible that some of the lore was changed when the devs decided to head in a different direction and have been adapting the lore ever since.
Also to ensure the lore remains open to interpretation, they had to make sure the mystery persists in the game and would reveal itself as players explore more of the world..
jacky ur theory is sooooooo awesome and good i love it this is the theory ever so true jacky
There's an eden elder?!?!!
as you can see in the mural, i will assume that the other elders are in favor of overthrowing the eden elder/megabird maybe. I have a theory that ultimately, megabird has a sort of duality, or even multiple manifestations like brahmin in hinduism. This was his power hungry side, and perhaps megabird exploited the fact that the elders were shepherding lights to THE light (megabird) and decided to use them for his own advantage, hence creating the sort of technology that you can see throughout sky out of souls (if you look carefully the power crystals are the same shade of blue as the spirits, and so are the small diamonds, which are the same shade of yellow as the winged lights). the stars ultimately falling would be megabird putting the ascended lights and spirits back down into the world of sky in the form of power crystals, and perhaps this lack of light and balance is what led to the storm. in the intro "if only they had listened", perhaps this is not megabird speaking, but rather just a third person account of what happened. If only the elders had realised what megabird was doing, then the storm could have been avoided. Ultimately I think megabird was defeated, but this was only his power hungry side, and we can see some signs of regret and maybe forgiveness in the elders, however the bitterness is still there (the forest mama knows we're on megabird's help, but her actions are very reluctant. She snatches the light. Treats it roughly too. same goes to valley elders.) The sun shields are probably unsimplified versions of the eden symbol
sort of, but at this point it's kinda theoretical but based on the mural, yes
There has never actually been a story though...just little pieces of something that might have been a hint if you squint at it hard enough.
wait wait- megabird?
basically sky god. What it was originally called. If you see in the early beta versions of the game he was called megabird
XD best name 10/10
“Prince and king still play an integral part to skys story, just maybe not in the way you might think.” Paraphrased from lore doc. Something like that.
yeah, that's why we're here, to piece it all together
who made the lore doc though. at this point everything's pretty much a theory
Im here to cherry pick the parts I like to make a tasty highly picky lore pie
yeah. I'm trying to piece bits together to fit my theory but there's quite a lot of stuff but ultimately i think it's just a bunch of regret and power hungriness and perhaps selfishness and mistrust
The doc is a compilation of dev quotes. Its as canon as it gets, which is to say, anything in it can be dropped at any second.
it makes sense, but there are a lot of missing pieces, so i may or may not scrap my theory along with the others, but this is the best i can make
[goes back to dying universe theory] ok what if eden elder doesnt want to die so theyre fighting back and want to be closest to the sky as possible, creating the hellscape that is eden
Wait I have 1 question. Are the seasons Canon?
hmm yes. But i guess everything is a creation of megabird so technically we are the children of megabird so megabird is king and we are prince that serve the king kinda like the relationship between legolas and thranduil go watch the hobbit if you don't get what i mean we run megabird's errands now because legit noone trusts this guy (last part is based on my theory)
Just popped to add before i absolutely forget.
What we see is after the war is done and dusted.
It's just a dying place and it has been like that for some time.
People have adapted to krills. And all there in left.
I will probably expand this later cause too sneepy. Sorry to whoever I am interrupting aaa byeeeee

i feel like in the natural sky world there wouldn't be seasons by the seasons reveal little snippets of the lore
The seasons stories are canon, but the details in them can be flexible. Like having sunglasses when glass does not exist.
they can't adapt everyone's dead
glass from golden wasteland sand
... before they died and got stuck in that unascended state
i just watched the switch launch promo and i feel dizzy. a lot of juicy lore
yeah, we're gonna have to sift through the wishlist and ideas to separate stuff but i think there's no sunbathing because i don't want to see a sunburnt blue person that's cursed
I always took Megabird as the one like, looking at post storm prince “siiigh, ok boy you messed up but you can still be the next generation anyway because you repented or something I dunno”
The promo is a bit creepy, but i think it representss the fall very well
I feel like if you look at the tank really carefully you can see that though he's like this big warrior and stuff you can see that he clearly sees quite a lot of regret. His kingdom is ultimately still left in ruins and I guess that maybe he's thinking "i really should have just given megabird a good talking to instead of nearly yeeting him out of existence"
SOO TRUE YED
because so far, while you see all the elders as manifestations i think megabird's physical form has been destroyed but he still exists like in a weird star form
Im not used to Mega being considered the same as Resh. Neat idea but also I keep getting confused, sorry.
look at the constellations near the rebirth gate. Idk what shape they are but it looks a bit like a bird
Who is resh???
It is cape
Sorry, Resh is the triva name for the King. The Eden Elder.
Oh
oh yeah. And resh's symbol also looks a lot like the symbol for The Light so probably barricades or ways to mark their territory. Resh's symbol is above eden too (I want a closet shaped like eden gate i'm sorry but I really do) So yeah i think it's megabird
Its not canon name. Just for fun. From concept arts.
no i don't mean the skykid constellation i mean the curvy one
Where's matpat when you need him lol
wull tell more tomorrow got some very interesting details
Talking about silly things like if mario is a muderer for the 500th time
Trueeeeeee
I think you didn't mean Brahmin which is a caste.
the realism in the trailer was a little disturbing ngl. makes me feel that sky has changed so much
Realistic is not always better imo.
Extremely late reply lol, I oobed above the clouds then went into the whole leading into this area and fell so fast (due to the wind) that I was out of camera view, also the room was glowing yellow at the time which is why it looks spooky
all good. It just looks different than how I am used to seeing it.
Also, the yellow light thing in the room, I have seen it every now and again. I assume that is a bug.
Thanks for sharing, much appreciated.
Yellow light was supposed to be a way to get the attention of the player and kind of make them wanna go there. The light should go Off at some point during ur ascent so that by the time u reach there it is no longer there in that room. Most often the bug happens when players fly directly (instead of walking up) to that room.
Yeah I've seen it like four times
I walked... 👀
oh? Then I will take note of my routes, it happens even if I walked or flew.
There must have been a trigger that I am missing.
May be it gets triggered off when we take a particular path that the devs assumed most would take?
What I mean by trigger, there should be a hit box somewhere for the player to trigger things.
I am not an expert though think the one that should turn the off the 'brights' is not in a spot that guarantees the player would have to trigger to progress (even if they were using the intended route), or the light does not go off even if the player triggered it. Either way, it is a minor bug.
Ngl there's a lot of lore I really wanna know but idk where to start reading can someone help
start with the questions you want to know.
I stuck around and just read along till I learned enough to add to the conversation.
It is open to interpretation after all.
if you want visual art lore, have a look at the amazing artist, Tom Zhao.
Also the old Twitter posts of TGC.
Here is one I am looking at if you want to check it out: https://twitter.com/thatskygame/status/1284977315861037057?lang=de
Ah thank you okay, I started getting interested cus I heard there's lore in the Nintendo trailer but now I'm just confused cus I don't know what the trailer was showing XD
hello lore chat!
Ah, welcome aboard!
Personally, that trailer is the best looking one the game ever published!
So what I gotten so far is sky kids have to help bring the spirits back to the sky which is what that place was after Eden right? How did they fall in the first place?
Theres also this. Compilation of dev comments we call the canon lore document. Just some useful tidbits. https://docs.google.com/document/d/10ZWJRGiJSrIXgDvJ4pST61moZbVB_hBExUjOaF-pmOE
Something happened and then skykids were being send down.
One theory is that the megabird is sending the skykids down to help the elders, gather the winged light and then deliver them to the fallen (the statues) in eded so they can ascend to orbit and be reborn to do it again.
Know you dont have to rush or anything. Go along at your own pace. 🙂
We don’t know why they fell yet. The old Japanese translation of the intro included “the spirits that made the mistake” who knows what that means. The rest of the stars falling might have been because of eden exploding.
that "something happened" is my most favorite thing to speculate about. when the murals say " the stars fell" some think that the stars simply just fell and corrupted the land, others think it might've been the prince/king eden, some think it was the elder's fault as to why the kingdom of sky was falling apart. it's such an open topic that disucssing everyone's thoughts about it sparks joy in me~ and it's also new every time!
(just had to share eep)
personally I don’t think the devs actually know either, or perhaps just recently decided why, thats our secret ok?
i plunged waaay too deep in theorizing about what happened to eden
, WE need more content for it though
I said 'something happened' to stay neutral.
my theory, is the megabird or some entity was watching over the elders as they lived in the stars, then the elders fell into darkness and/or the ancestors (the spirits) did not listen (either broke into war, broke their vow or something) and then eden was lost.
Years later, the megabird decided to send down the sky kids to help guide the spirits back to the temple and also find the fallen stars, that are the winged light, and bring them home, which for them would be orbit.
for me I'm split between two theories (text wall coming up!!)
Anyway here is the list of 100% confirmed, undeniable, solid completely infallible lore:
The stars fell.
Eden is now the only realm that has not gotten a season that involved it.
There might be one some day.
I get why they dont want to confuse players with an ending to the open ended lore, though I am starting to understand what long running veterans have to work with.
It would be fun to have a season that seems simple to the average player, though if a player that completed all the other areas of the game before, they get to access a special area that sort of becomes the next chapter or possible ending!
Although that would literally and figuratively be the end game for Sky.
Ult gift Eden Crown
1.) the elders (at this point of the story) were already learning how to use the light as fuel for resources and transportation like boats, power diamonds to unlock doors, manta food (far fetch but could be possible) and light so they could ward off the darkness at night. as they gradually took from the light, the stars no longer held enough power to emit it and thus they fell. as soon as the stars fell it led to it corrupting the land, the creatures surrounding it, and the water. the elders knew they screwed up, so megabird instructed them to find a solution to stop the kingdom of sky from falling apart, and to think of better ways to create renewable energy of light than to simply take it out from the stars. so this one was purely unintentional but they still screwed it up.
2.) the elders were killing off darkness creatures. in earlier concept art we see dark versions of children/moths together with light moths. i think that there was supposed to be balance between them, but the spirits/elders hated darkness, which is why they were one by one trying to make sure that they weren't spreading anymore darkness around civilization. the imbalance of nature caused the stars to fall because, as a famous quote implies, stars can't shine without darkness , which could also mean the stars could no longer function properly when darkness was being eradicated.
Arn’t the stars people though? People fell. You gotta put the people back up in the sky.
their spirits get to ascend with you to orbit. The old name for winged light are stars.
i hope for an eden season! or atleast concept art and more context about it from devs~
i honestly thought (when i was a moth) that once you've completed eden, you'd get to see what happened to the kingdom, or atleast get transmitted to a world where spirits still existed just to fill in the gaps. to my surprise we were only given the cutscene we now see today. I'm not complaining though, the gray area gives us the opportunity to figure it out and work with the community to decipher possible endings and how everything happened. eitherway i still hope they add more content for eden! i really wanna know (and i assume everyone does) what that place was supposed to be like pre-corruption
so the elders were basically taking light from ... dead people?
The best part of a first play through is the message saying, 'The real Journey starts here'
You get this after finishing eden for the first time and you claim the first winged light in the dark room.
THERES A MESSAGE SAYING WHAT
straight up, Strike me if I am a lair:
https://youtu.be/nMrVJMrtkUQ?list=PLOYhTR9CeGo7-vBSRa0hC7TSFxtvHQX_d&t=883
YES I SAW THAT AND UNTIL NOW I'M CONFUSED— SECOND JOURNEY??
Oh! I don’t remember that on my first playthrough! BUT I COULD HAVE FORGOTTEN.
light comes from light creatures and the environment, the spirits may have died because of what happened with the elders, though I dont think the elders used spirits for powers.
Hold up
If light wax originally came from flowers then why does it come from candles now?
How did the candles even get there?
Prolly comes from light based things in general. When light flows through flowers, it gives back light maybe?
you make a fair point! that's a good theory.
nope, the game has a way of looping on itself. You being reborn is part of the game's progress, not its ending.
So you experiencing the end of your last playthrough, you can now share your knowledge and experience with new players.
The game focuses on players helping each other afterall.
that makes sense.
the old crab species look like tiny guardians from botw no cap
Also following up on the theory that the realms were completely different than what they are now
I think wasteland was probably a seaside city and incorporated water with a lot of their architecture like Atlantis-y
And the graveyard was probably like a garden or town square
Honestly I'm thinking of gerudo town from botw
ok, it took a few minutes. I deciphered the alphabet in the old concept art for the elders
Here is the link: https://twitter.com/thatskygame/status/1284977315861037057?lang=de
It is not complete though :/
I am missing the following letters: B, J, P, Q, V, W, X and Z
I noticed D/T and M/N respectively are the same symbol, or similar to each other since I struggled to tell them apart due to the resolution.
This may hint to which language system they use or the time period the language system used may be relevant.
I dont know, my brain is now mush and need sleep.
I can share the drawing done to translate it.
Sorry for the rough look.
It is the only page I saw the language used and I just finished it.
that's epic!!
If anyone spots more of those texts, please do let me know. I would love to have a look at them.
What are your thoughts/ideas on seasons after Little Prince? I have 2 that I’ll expand upon later: a gameplay-focused one set in Wasteland, and the opportunity to relive your moth days with heavy story and a Shopkeeper focus
A "moth" is a new player. They have brown wings, they flap around uncontrollably, and they are drawn to flame!
hi skybot.
a lot honestly, but i shall share my thoughts in a few days because some of the content i found while lurking isn't live yet
agreed. I know some of the season stuff and also know this channel has no spoiler tags, though would wait till the season is live before theorising on it.
No, I meant seasons after LP, or just your season ideas in general
I came up with a new krill theory
Based on the "corrupted creature" and "technological abominations" theories
I hope the next seasons can move more in the direction of actually restoring the kingdom
oh, after?
Perhaps one that is like a army recruit with spirits doing drills and training. (so a hat and boots, with the jumping jack and militarily stance that also makes the skykid march when they walk).
Then maybe a merchant/nomad type of season where spirits similar to that of enchantment set up their tents anywhere (almost like a boho/hippy type of season with a prop for a trade table and possibly a variant of the yoga pose combined with the floating pose for a meditation type of emote).
And lastly an EDEN season that deals with spirits that faced dark times, but through sheer determination pulled through, those spirits are like the champions that faced danger head on.
Krill were (note the past tense) just corrupted creatures a long time ago, driven mad by the pain of the darkness ripping into the physical form of the light creature, melting off into motes of darkness. They came across some technology, and the consciousness of the light creature was enraged by it as it was the very same technology that had harmed its brethren.
So it attacked.
The darkness, recognizing that the technology contained some light (all tech is powered by light, and there probably is some residual energy left over,) basically forced the whole krill to consume it, out of a mindless desire to consume all the light.
The technology was thus fused into the krill in the most horrifying way imaginable, with the creature underneath being ripped apart by the darkness while being forced to power the technology, with no control over its fate.
does anyone have a theory for how the water in golden wasteland became dangerous
It makes sense due to the organic nature of the main body of the Krill while the spines (geometric shapes btw) are probably destroyed shards of technology coated in darkness. If you look into the motifs for light creatures they are organic while darkness in general takes geometric forms.
There are a lot of oil pipes in the wasteland so I assume the spirits polluted the water
wasteland is polluted, the water being poisoned is what hurting skykids and even spirit memories.
so what polluted wasteland
the spirits
in that case I'd like to see a season that interacts more with dark creatures, specifically krills. also newer areas (maybe more graveyards) in gw!
I'd also like to see another season revolving around isle, kind of like the reviving the area
The pollution is the result of darkness that was pumped away from diamond factories.
It's an eerie mirror to the contemporary factories in our world.
for me i think it's the stars. the terrain of the kingdom of sky in general isn't suitable for stars at all, so it corrupts the surrounding land around it creating weeds/darkness and corrupting light creatures upon contact. some might even grow those red spikes we see in eden
I actually have a season idea that revolves around purifying small areas of Eden, GW, Vault and Forest.
Forest - Remove the gargantuan clouds that were a result of the Eden Diamond exploding.
GW - Remove the pollution and the clouds, and save a krill and crab or two
Vault - Clear the air pollution and open up the skies so we can admire the stars.
Eden - Bring back the midnight skies of Eden instead of the horrifying reds and abnormally light blues.
I like to think wasteland natives were trained to be warriors
Like the oldest would be recruited while the younger ones would work the fields or run the shops with their parents... then when they got older they too would join the army
Idk I just rlly want an army themed season that explains why wasteland got hit the hardest
I think that before Wasteland was a wasteland it used to be called "Golden Metropolis." Probably the most rich city in Sky apart from Eden. This would explain the large factories and the fact that there is a lot of water. Boats probably would've been able to sail in.
✨ Venice ✨
y e s
The wasteland may have been a religious place too
i think eden was the religious place and wasteland well.. was wasteland to begin with
wonder what caused the war there though, it seemed like it was all centered by the temple.
I'm imagining something like a walled in city like gerudo town
But like you see forgotten ark and there's a sorta tiled field near the red light
Wasteland was probably the sahara desert but with water, and the sky civilisation was like "yep i wanna live in this barren area" and started building 42039560874365978 factories and selling power diamonds for lots of money which meant more money for infrastructure which meant more-
it is probably a walled in city or a factory. to me wasteland is probably the center of importing and exporting light, creatures, and basic necessities. it could also a factory where power diamonds were produced, so that's why much of the pollution we see and get from the stars (or by any other possible means) is more abundant than anywhere else.
Walled city. If it was one massive factory then GW would probably not be navigable.
It was an industrial city, aye. But it wasn't a massive factory.
i suppose that could also be the case. but if you also consider how large the creatures were (judging by their skeletons) they must've also needed a massive area to store them (if they actually did, like stables)
But have you considered: Where would the workers live??? If the presses were functional without ancestors then the one in Forest temple would be functional rn
What exactly were they trying to protect themselves from tho?
The other realms? I mean they didn't rlly have any reason to believe eden was going to fall
Maybe there's another area to wasteland
Like where you go to get the fluffy grat cape looks like the hallway continues on
now that's just scary.
outside of wasteland probably, think of it as a marketplace. and since it was already polluted to begin with, it would be a dangerous area to live in.
I don't think it was polluted before the Sky civilisation but ok
Wack
But like there's more cities in wasteland that u can see in the distance as well and they look to be much more intact than the city we get to explore (at least from what we can see anyways)
There's also a massive tank in the distance (the tanks that hold water not the moving vehicles with cannons)
Probably represents the effort of some people to hold the pollution away while they find a more permanent disposal area. But noooo. They had to keep torturing creatures for pretty diamonds and monetary gain.
no i mean in the time power diamonds were already in the process, they most likely had to dump out their waste somewhere, as well as store the power diamonds to be exported to various areas of the realm.
oh
i agree with this.
I love how Tom Zhao was like "King Statue for morale!" in his concept art
i haven't seen much of his concept art since I'm fairly new to the lore, where can i find it?
well technically he didn't add the morale part but it's funny to think of it like that
i just went through eden for the first time . YOURE TELLING ME THE FATE OF ALL THE SKY KIDS IS TO BECOME THE STATUES AT THE END AND NO MATTER HOW MANY WE FREE WITH THE LIGHT THERE WILL ALWAYS BE MORE ??!!
Are sky kids the stars? I think the winged lights are different from the sky kids
Does anyone notice the similarities between the color schemes of the current Eden and the colors of the Krills' lights?
I am now scared of that thing 1000 times more than just hating the cutscene
oop
it's a repeated cycle, so basically we're doing the entire thing again but this time with more knowledge. that's the point of sky, we're supposed to help moths guide more children into the light
I think the winged lights aren’t theoretically infinite, there’s just a lot of stars
I’m still confused about weather the fallen stars are the spirits
winged lights were called stars before. skykids however, are more like vessels that can carry infinite winged lights and carry them home aka into the orbit. I'm currently looking into the anatomy of a moth/skykid, and currently i suggest that there is two components in it : the light and a void.
Sounds like a lot of Ancient Greek philosophy
true
. i haven't really dug deep into it, and those are just my speculations, feel free to add details into it!
The intro says that the fallen stars made a home among the clouds, does that mean they are the spirits?
yesss! they're basically lost souls that got mixed up with the kingdom of sky when they fell (possibly) due to
a.) natural imbalance
b.) elders screwing up the system
c.) megabird wants drama
d.) (insert your own theory here!)
and we're instructed to guide them home~
dang this ending cutscene is beautiful
I feel like I’m glimpsing the endless death and rebirth of the universe
ikr, when i first completed it i teared up a little it was just so BEAUTIFUL
So are the stars the generation of spirits that died before they could grow up?
I cried when i got to hug the other lightless child
GUYS I JUST RELIZED NOW THAT CREATURES VOICE AT TRAILER IS NOT FROM SKY COTL... IT'S FROM JOURNEY GAME

All the memories we relive in wasteland tho are from after eden falls
Journey x Sky confirmed
I know but usually the creatures voice on sky is different... But at trailer it's like journey... And that's make me cry that it's so beautiful

Botw? I'm guessing that's a reference to the Nintendo release
Eden fell? I guess there's lore that I didn't pick up on
And the flight to orbit was amazing

So, so
When we whip out the red candle to light other people's candle, that's our core? Since we put it away, our sky kid kinda puts/pushes it in their chest.
Breath of the wild
It's the newest zelda game and a lot of games have coined off of it lol
Like genshin for one
Yeah that's what I guessed
why BOTW here
lonk hair
Cuz I was referencing gerudo town as the wasteland city
idk any BOTW stuff so

D:
is manta diamond juice drinkable
can moths be blended in the manta juice blender
does anyone know the purpose of the Isle temple, and why there were boats going to and from it?
In one of the memories there is a candle maker using the boat to transport candles. Maybe isle was a big farm land that delivered goods to the rest of the kingdom
switch trailer showed what seemed like a bazaar next to the dock
well early on Isle is a guide using the boats to guide skids
Probably a port hub, and given that Isle is the first place in Sky Kingdom territory, most likely this is the “face” of the kingdom
Being skykid is suffering
Sky kids were practically only made for one purpose, to die and honk
When we whip out the red candle to light other people's candle, that's our core? Since we put it away, our sky kid kinda puts/pushes it in their chest.
ah, rght. feels kinda foreign to me tht the sky kingdom isn't the only kingdom since it's where the elders are hanging out
Most likely? With the heart symbol and it literally on our chest, it also doesn’t lit up if we are out of light. So maybe it’s like a battery?
Our our soul/heart/star?
Possibly
I'm only asking this because I saw an angsty Sky animation
is it the one where it says "if your candle breaks you cannot get reborn"
Uhh, nooo. By Starmy Bunny, "[Sky : children of the light] Lovely"
what's it aboot?
Basically, estella finds a moth (which are like little kids and they grow up, I'm assuming) and takes them to Eden while another sky kid (Eos) tells Estella to leave the moth. Eos gets told no, and says she won't make the same mistake again. She reaches for the moth and gets killed by the rocks. This happens cuz in the beginning of the video, the creator says, "Skykid die for real when the red candle(core) gets destroyed NO REBORN"
And Eos blames the moth for killing Estella, and I get lost in the middle until Eos gets krilled and dies. But, another sky kid makes a deal with a bad(?) Sky kid and Estrella and Eos come back to life.
red candle as in the glowing bean organ you see if you glitch into the moths?
also cough theory about moths being robots and have a singular irreplaceable and replenishable energy core
The thing in the middle of our body? Yes.
But, @compact shale, you should watch the video since i suck at explaining
SPILL THE TEA IGNIS
Y'ALL
Mh?
it's ok, i think i know where to find it
i also want to write a dark Sky fancomic
It's on YouTube and I say go for it!
REMEMBER THE CREATURE THEY RIDE IN THE TRAILER?
So there was a theory going on that maybe it is pre corrupted krill.
What if
When stars fell there was noone to look after them and feed them so they started starving and got corrupted and started attacking for light.
DARKNESS IS JUST ABSENSE OF LIGHT
THEY HAVE THE FLASHLIGHT EYE TOO IT WORKS-
I mean that’s how things work irl isn’t it
no lömp = darkness
Altho it’s up to interpretation, i’m not convinced because we can still move with the candle depleted. Maybe we will lose the ability to store light if our candle broke
...YOU GENIUS
BIG BRAIN
Insert exploding brain emoji
Whales also have flashlight eyes, according to a concept art
MEGA BIG BRAIN
wait that kinda is how darkness works tho

krill becomes evil and starts eating moff basically
I think its a fan animation with their own way of s
Telling the story
they are hungry for light and thats why they bean your lights out of you
WE BRING LIGHT TO DARKNESS AND IT FADES AWAY.
WE "BURN" IT AKA BRING FIRE TO IT
FIRE AKA LIGHT
DARKNESS IS THE ABSENSE OF LIGHT
Can we light up krills then
Because they're desperate to get light back in their body?
In theory if I commit sudoku with krills then they aren’t hungry and become rideable manatees
at the cost of all of my wl
But they are so dark they can’t absorb light when they attack moths
well that’s just sad
Y'all are geniuses
No more light = Krill hongy = krill go bonkers = krill attacc
you arent you when ur hungry
have a light
They don’t eat the lights when they attack the lights just fall off the moths and fade
Maybe we need the special nectar they used in the trailer to feed them? So they are tamed back?
NO I HAVE BETTER IDEA.
EVOLUTION
THEY CANT BE REVERTED BECAUSE THEY EVOLUTED INTO THEIR CURRENT STATE DUE TO SWITCHING FROM DOMESTICATED INTO WILD OVER VERY LONG TIME.... CUZ THE SPIRITS WERE DEAD FOR A LOOONG LONG TIME SO IT MAKES SENSE THAT EVERYTHING CHANGED DRAMATICALLY... I MEAN ISLE WAS PRAIRIE STYLE VILLAGE AND NOW A DESERT
theyre jealous of light people
I did say sky lore is up to interpretation, i was stating my opinion that I am not convinced and explained why
Ah. Forgive me then, MabuSo
HOW IS TGC MANAGING TO EXPLODE MY BRAIN BY 2 MIN LONG VIDEO HOW???
Funny how the crabs eat the wl instead. Maybe a mutual smth that animals do?
simple, commit selective breeding with the better krills
isle got desertified we hate to see it
Issokie issokei

and toss in a few whales and mantas if that’s possible
Crabs eat lights???
Yes
The more you know
Oh- wait
So uhh
What if wasteland wasn't actually a wasteland and rather just an overgrown wilderness of sorts?
Cuz we usually think of wasteland in the post apocalyptic way
But the definition says it could also just be overgrown land
Unused factory?
Factory for what, exactly?
Artificial stars?
Maybe- weapons against the krill?
I mean in the concepts as well it seemed to be a fortified city of sorts
See like the sentries and the town square
And there were factories to produce the light vessels like in the forest temple
manta juice and diamond
O. Good thought
Manta juice???
an abandoned wasteland and warzone for good measure
always found it odd how the elder is a warrior
manta juice is diamond energy
Manta juice (or any light creature juice) ingredient (possibly) to create diamond
And there's a palace there as well so maybe wasteland was a grand sorta castle town before eden fell
There's another thought that krills were guards
And wasteland does seem to be the last defense for eden besides vault
Maybe they were rides AND guards?
Sort of like in journey?
Mh!
Maybe, considering GW is nearest to Eden, and if we assume Vault is actually an Eden extension
eden extension or not vault is still a pog place
I feel like the krills were the light creatures and through time just became mindless beasts who only seek out the light
Or maybe Vault was a Wasteland extension pre-storm
Isn't vault like destroyed when we reached the end to go into eden?
Maybe Krill are mantas after they were pressed for juice
In the concepts it does seem like wasteland was connected to vault
As they called it the library and for how close it is to eden it's in really good shape
It is?-
I mean it being in good shape
Krill:
Corrupted/starved manatees (new name for the krillmantawhale seen in the trailer) ?
Possible suit made out of bones?
Seeks out for light yet cannot consume them
Possible also corrupted whales/canths?
Possible guards/mounts?
Maybe. Ngl Vault is wonky
I mean look at it compared to wasteland, you'd expect since wasteland got absolutely destroyed by the darkness that vault would be too
I like how you make a list
Hmmm...
My theory is that it's just part of the Vault
The unbroken vault is actually a connected network of towers
Archives shows remains of a bridge leading into a lesser tower
And the Vault we know is just the elder tower
This theory is based on the Artifact OOB but it could work
There was a theory earlier that the krills were those mounts but corrupted and that since they were attracted to the light that they would seek out the machines in wasteland and sorta... absorb them and that's why they chunky and all geometric
I wish we could read the archives in the vault
Ohhhhh. I see, I see.
What if we can, but they're all runes? And the runes are legit, not some kind of gibbberish trolling
I’d say the vault is kind of like a dna and memory bank
That would be cool
In case humanity goes extinct which apparently it did
forgot to mention sky may be set in the future with pollution and all that
Maybe? But also keep in mind that Vault is the most technologically advanced realm in sky, given that’s where most scholars do their research, and the Tower is protected by a fortress (GW). So the Vault having the least damage, even tho it’s sandwiched with Eden explosion and war happening in Battlefield might be logical
Or maybe a product of memory lanterns leaking
Maybe the elder spirits are only rlly there because they have unfinished business, or were killed quickly and haven't realized it yet
That could be a reason why the temples for each realm are in really good condition (relatively speaking) it's cuz the elders spirits are stuck till they complete their mission or are able to move on with outside help
All this lore is giving me a headache
there's a battlefield?
Yeah! Near the gate and mostly all over the place
yes, ‘fainting’ warrior
Battlefield
There's also catta...catta..
ah
Battlefield is the last location in wasteland, the area before the temple and riddled with shields, spears, and barricades
Catapults!
So, those were probably used to launch something at someone or...something- er
Wait so I’ve got this theory
Wasteland is a factory and probably in charge of manufacturing most of the diamonds in the sky universe
Opposing faction waged war with them and ‘manatees’ were used as guards (whales too probably, large bones seen and also wasteland masks are based off whale/canth heads)
manatee becomes krill and all that stuff
present day wasteland after being abandoned
also a fort for the kingdom in eden?
Since wasteland was the last defense to eden it would make sense that they would have the most fortifications
I really hope tgc makes a prequel game set in the sky verse bc I would be more than happy to buy it
shut up and take my money
Huh now that i think about it, since Eden pursues diamond making and GW is near it, it make sense that GW is a diamond factory hub, and a fortress
Mood.
- Yeet rock at krill
- Yeet burning stuff at krill
- Yeet krill at krill
- Yeet soldier at krill
I would assume that those native to wasteland would be a part of the army of sorts
where else did all those shields and weapons come from? And who was gonna use em anyways
...yeet a soldier?!
Do krills eat spirits or are they only after light beings
IF THEY ARENT HOSTILE TO SPIRITS THAT MEANS WE CAN HAVE A KRILL CALL
Yeet moff at krills
I don't think soldiers can fly like sky kids!
seems that they're after light
but i could be wrong
Yeet krill at krill
All I can imagine is just a GW soldier just smashing against a krill and just..sliding off, like in the cartoons. Yk what I'm talking about?
yep
We don’t see any spirits in danger
And also I believe they aren’t completely mindless and still know they need to defend the factory, and moths are intruders
imagine how easy the prince’s trip would be when everything was all dandy and there’s no dark shrimps anywhere
also check out the wasteland masks and compare it to this whale/coelacanth
Imagine if there's a prequel of the prince having a part of Eden falling
beta krills look like they’re whales, maybe a manatee inside bone/machine suits?
Explains the fact they don’t look like krills but still have a beam of light
dang poor things
Starved creatures who are unable to consume the thing that they need to yet cannot die
jesus krills are abused
there are a few parallels that can be drawn between Sky and Journey
first off there’s a large mountain and you die from freezing or whatever
basically the same for the Journey Krill right?
ded via freezer
instant adult
just microwave and done
might be a prequel set in war leading to nuclear winter before the events of eden or all of the other structures we see today
works with the theory that sky may be set very far in the future
The scared refugee is fleeing away from an earthquake, the black caped spirit is hiding from a krill, the lookout spirit is raising an alarm about something
i should play Journey again...
welp but let’s be honest who wouldn’t run away if you see your horse suddenly becomes this giant flying shrimp with dark beams of light
SKY HAS HORSES?!
“Manatees”
The one that the prince rides in the trailer
I made a horse mount for my skykid...
Evil Tempura Propaganda
Tbh the mount I made is like a weird wyvern horse manta thing
Didn't have eyes
Sort of like this?
No it touched the ground lol I'll put it in #sky-fanart-sketches-and-art-chat
About krills, I’m a little torn between “krills being corrupted light creatures make sense” and “but i want an original dark creature
“
original dark creatures: darkness dust maybe
somebody mentioned they were like parasites, leeching off other beings and corrupting them (eg, crabs without darkness dust on them aren’t hostile)
what even were the crabs?
normal crabs
of course there’s also the hermitspiders in the trailers
Crabs are crabs that do their hugs the wrong way
Maybe the Tower Spider krebs are original dark, not corrupted
they normally aren’t hostile unless darkness dust is on them
If it was normal dust, why would they become hostile?
I imagine it’s a sort of symbiotic relationship
GW soldier riding a krill, krill hussars

Symbiotic? Implying that the dust is alive and needs food ?
yes
they leech off the crabs for life force
or crab meat
Darkness needs light to survive
lol
Wait someone is roasting the crabs so are they eating the dark dust too-
crabs are neutral creatures
Darkness dust let them become dark creatures in exchange for food or whatever
you know what screw it, lactic acid
Maybe fire burns the darkness off
Maybe the darkdust is like a necessary pathogen
And you need to cook food so that you don't get darkness poisoning
Thought it was more like a parasite
Cook the crab kill the parasite
fire does replenish light after all
DON'T GET DARKMONELLA! COOK YOUR FOOD TO 180F TODAY! WASH YOUR HANDS!
Also if I’m correct you can see some darkness dust on the whales
interesting
It's also interesting though that the crab fire was made after the fall of eden
Suggesting that some spirits lived on after everything died
It would make sense too, considering the memories we relive in wasteland take place after the fact
Well, some people do believe that Team Enchantment survived the storm but their boat got krilled some time after gathering all the lights and they all died
That would make sense too, cuz you see them all kinda making a home in the ark ruins
Like the muralist and the boo guy working the field
And then the spirit guide harvested their hearts and sold it to the moths in exchange for helping them with setting up LED lights
w ha t
Pff
yeh
LMAO
I mean the spirits become ghosts why do they fear death
or are spirts just hallucinations
Ooo, what’s the to pi c
crab and dark parasite and organ harvesting
I feel like the reason we have spirits is cuz they can't ascend basically so they need us
Nice :D
Yeah, so about Team Enchantment...
Maybe they died of some other cause after their boat got krilled
so the spirits I don’t ascend are left to rot in the mortal realm
Starvation and dehydration prolly due to lack of resources
😃 👍
is it just me or did most spirits eat each other
treehouse children were locked in the treehouse, likely starved or are each other (why do all of the spirit guides have hearts for sale)
light spirtis were left in a secluded area with no escape, hearts for sale
It's funny that we only rlly see birds and crabs in the spirits memories
Besides sanctuary
Cuz you'd think after eden fell that everything got nae naed but maybe it was more of a slow fall
Like Coronavirus
OH GOODNESS I HOPE THAT ISN'T THE CASE
I DONT WANT IT TO BE THE CASE
there’s no way to escape from sanctuary unless you can fly or teleport, sure, an escape from modern society, totally not a place where the spirits eat you
Hearts are just an in game currency idk if they have anything to do with the lore..
Cuz as far as I know spirits and skykids alike don't have human organs
I mean, they can eat mantas/crabs
And the assembly kids probably live on plant and crab
What if the kids died from the explosion
Funny thought. The emote levels might matter towards the Spirits’ psyche. At level 1 it is a direct emoji, no decorations, no exagerrations. But as we unlock friendships with them (assuming spirit menus works the same way as friend menus) the emotes levels up, and becomes more “freeform”? I think this implies that not only are we freeing Spirits away from their trapped, physical bodies, we also free them away from trauma they experienced when they were alive.
In short, skykids are comfort pets.
I think the Assembly kids died because of the storm, like most of the others
moff
squish
sure
I wanna know if the fall of eden was an abrupt sorta explosion that wiped out everything or was more of a slow moving storm that steadily drained resources and spread darkness
I got a slightly clearer picture of Vault King mural off my switch too. The lines are just a little cleaner.
I like to think that the Assembly QG started the treehouse as a bold youthful decision
oh yeah did you know you can see 8 dead bodies inside the trial murals
Imo, I go with the explosion (but the slow moving one is for the Isle, Priaire and Valley)
Theres plenty of crab supply at Sanctuary for food but they're very aggressive
There’ the non aggressive
i didn't really know that the world we play in was post world ending event until today
Prolly both, every realm around Eden got a lot of people killed in the explosion, but the edges had slow dying survivors.
i didn't know Eden had exploded
Oh yeah big boom boom
Gasp what if wasteland had a sorta sand seal mount instead of those mantatees like in botw
hmm
Basically sky is underwater but not underwater at the same time because sea creatures can now fly but butterflies don’t live underwater because they’re artificial batteries and moths are robots
My theory is that this is what caused the Eden explosion.
Basically the King had been hoarding divine light (workers offering it to him)
And he wanted to consume it with the intent of becoming godlike (but he told the ancestors that he's using it to make himself the ultimate offering to megabird)
However because of the darkness and greed in his heart, the lightball also got corrupted, and he became the Eden diamond and started the Storm
Prolly not much. most lots is just theory and interpretation.
Uh k
But in the trailer I'm sure that other realm is prolly underwater or is just unconnected
WAIT WHAT OTHER REALM
The forest like one in the trailer
hello lore chat, any new theories?
They went through desert n forest before getting to isle as their first stop.
Hmmmmm
Ohhh, oh ya I forgot
They have guardian crebs
i think it's just refresher right now
There was a once-commonly believed theory that Isle was underwater because of the boats and nearby sea and the sand. However Switch Trailer has debunked it.
Spooder krebs, spooder krebs
What if the trailer shows when Little Prince visited real time? Back when everything is ok and no eden boom boom?
he ate the light ball and screamed and the world got nuked because it hurt so much that his scream caused more destruction than a nuclear bomb /j
lol
I take King mural as “eating the forbidden fruit” getting kicked out of the garden of eden. In this cause, using the forbidden stone and getting kicked out of orbit.
Also his castle is named Eden. Forbidden Fruits
I don't think the prince in the trailer is the little prince
We mean the prince that becomes the corrupted king
could be
megabird told the king to not eat the sun but some snake told him to eat it
Ooh what if the ball is actually a microphone head and King is singing karaoke so hard everything shattered?
Lmao eden
Deity of Sky/the universe Sky is in
The world is not ready for King’s singing skillz
One day, the King invited everyone to a ceremony on castle grounds.
He showed a ball of pure light that he had been accumulating for quite some time.
"The divine offering to Megabird has been finished, and I shall become the vessel for it! Behold my ultimate act of worship!"
The crowd was filled with cheering, but also... protest?
Most of the elders seemed to be in favor the idea, except for Vault, who had a troubled look on their face.
The crowd was silent in suspense...
The king took the ball of pure light and swallowed it.
*collective gasp
The king started to feel a throbbing pain...
"F-father? W-what's going on?!" Alef fearfully said, as he watched what was happening. He really didn't know much about his father's plan until now, but something didn't seem right...
The king screamed, and then...
I like to think wasteland was a seaside city, like venice, and was a hustle n bustle kinda place with a big town square and lots of shops n factories and the castle where the elder resides
boom
Hair god
Also maybe it wasn't a wasteland, more like an untamed grasslands of sorts, or a swampy kinda deal
speaking of wasteland, i took a couple of snapshots earlier during my run, i might try to redraw the area to check how it looked like pre-corruption
One of Tom Zhao’s concepts is labeled “what was dusk like before the storm” and has concepts of a fortified lowered city.
eden, or wasteland?
Wasteland. Hang on I’ll get it
A big walled in city, a bustling castle town, the center with the kings statue or a fountain, then the factories scattered on the outskirts, small little towns here and there, and the elders temple at the back
FA is in wasteland right? There are dead trees in there. Assuming those trees are common trees in GW, it looks similar to the trees that grows in Vault 3rd level
i want a piece of the cardboard stuff that my art teacher provided for the prismacolor unit now so that i can draw Megabird
Got it
library.. gw has a library?
Vault, prolly talking about Vault
Like the castle of cagliostro
This was still when they had the ark idea. So. Its old.
The sunken part… might’ve been Graveyard?
ah, my bad. so gw and vault are connected, does this mean they're in the same area?
that looks dope
vault's gate is in gw
Since it’s the lowest part in GW
Reminds me of this
That final part would have intrigued me but Ig it is too violent?
As if the implications of a war wasnt but thats just me
Yeah in the later concepts they replaced it with tsadi holding the gate
then the war was raged to protect the vault.
the war was won but vault crumbled anyway, it was in eden where vault actually sits on
Alot of water makes sense for castle defense, it slows down intruders and keeps them tightly packed in a bridge where they're easy spear beam targets
and eden was the first realm to be hit by the boom boom so
, fits i guess
The only reason I could rlly think of that there could be a war of that size is against the dark creatures
But maybe there was another war going on for control of the light factories? And it was already depleting their resources so when eden fell they had nothing against the darkness
I like to think the shields meant diamond and anti diamond
Considering the attack would have come from the back
i see! the portal realms really confuse me, makes it hard to differentiate where two realms meet XD
oh so the factory in eden was a light factory?
Pike and shot formations against dark creatures
and light is a manufactured energy?
probably. they had these spiked fences to block something around the temples. so im guessing that there were creatures large in size but too heavy to jump over them.
It's theorized that the grinder we see in forest temple puts creatures light into these diamond vessels for easy transport and use as batteries essentially
Spears that shoot waxes how convenient, its like real life muzzleloaders with bayonets
its a diamond factory, the production of diamonds are corrupt in nature, involving light creatures being squeezed of their light dry to charge the diamonds
oh
i saw concept art of it earlier. if that is the case then probably the waste was thrown into gw. i think a light creature without light would be like a corpse, there would be no use of them so they had to discard it.
I'm sticking with my cagliostro wasteland theory
scawy
its fun tho
Cagliostro wasteland theory? Im curious
knowing that there is an actual flytrap in the forest temple makes me sick. mama forest WHY
they were captured lol, theres even a spirit that specializes with hunting
that's so inhumane, so i guess that debunks my theory that the way light is harnessed is through stars.
off topic (meaning not the current convo) so im spoilering it ||i just rewatched the newest sky switch trailer they put out (the one with the different but beautiful graphics) and for some reason it JUST clicked that at the end where they fly up to the grassy plain with tents and the stone, it's the isle of dawn. i find it so interesting that since they flew there from somewhere else, it implies that the isle of dawn is NOT the beginning of this universe which is so cool to me
(please forgive me i know this might seem obvious to some but i love the lore of sky so it excites me||
EXACTLY. We where freaking out big time yesterday and before due to how big a lore bomb it was.
might not be the beginneng of universe, but start of Sky Kingdom
i had a discussion with my partner earlier about this! i think its a tease that their MIGHT be a sub-area/realm that connects two major existing realms already, specifically the isle and either praire, or forest. The way u can enter this area can be through either of the realms, there might be an ancient civilization there or whatnot
I've always believed that there are more places other than Sky
even if it was a short glimpse, it was clear to be a prologue and boi oh boi was it great
also, i dont know if this is debunked already, but there were originally sixteen realms teased?
RIGHT???? that's what i was thinking
yeah there's no way they made that without some kind of hint. i was thinking to myself, "whoa this is cool, and i love it, but holy crap this animation and the stuff we were shown were like......oddly suspicious........in a good way....."
even showed live ancestors and wat the butterflies really were
And they blink
AHH it was so sick.
AND THEY WEREN'T BLUE
i should really talk in this channel more, i do love me some lore
meaning they alive?
mhh yes, the regulars crave for questions so pls do
alright, i guess one question i do have is this: was the king (||eden||) a child once? we've seen in i think the beckon spirit from the isle of dawn (in that cut scene) that they found the prince, which is either the king or the first child of light. so if the king was once a child, were the other elders once children?? i wonder how they came into existence.....OR were they simply always there, like advisors to each ruler? (that was a lot sorry)
(not our photo) this was the look of home/hub before the global release, can you guys see how many portals/realms there were?! , indicating the kingdom of sky is bigger than we thought, the lore might even still be tidbits of the bigger picture
to me that looks like the regular amount? although it's hard to see, but the rocks behind the portals look like the broken ones we see at the beginning of sky's gameplay now. (did you see more????? if so YAS)
elders were most likely also spirits. season of assembly says that each spirit represented an elder, so we can assume that they were all once children, including prince.
The castle of cagliostro is a lupin movie where he sets off to find the man behind the counterfeit money he finds
He runs into the princess who was trying to escape the arranged marriage and is left to return her ring to her (which she unintentionally left with him)
He finds out that the princess is connected to count cagliostro because of the symbol on the ring
So he sets out to sneak into the castle and return the ring to the princess
When he's with the princess he learns the reasons behind the forced wedding and vows to free the princess
Unfortunately he's found out and is left to die in the catacombs of the castle which is where he finds the counterfeit money and the secret of the cagliostro castle
Eventually he's able to make his way out and back to the princess
but in the process of trying to escape with the princess he's shot and the princess strikes a deal with the count to spare his life
After three days lupin once again sets out to rescue the princess from the count, but this time he's prepared
So anyways to cut this short, he and the count get in this fight for the cagliostro treasure
The count dies and the treasure is revealed to be an ancient roman city that was submerged underwater until now
A lot of us consider Prince and King to be the same person (see the figure standing in Kings facehole) with the idea being Elders cannot age, and thus he is stuck as a permanent child. Just a common theory though.
they could be the same entity - prince being coronated to be king, courtesy of prophecy. they could also be different entities, idk how but theres some holes that imply that they are
same here, but it was my partner who confirmed that there were sixteen (he was there pre-global release, and was also one of the first beta testers for ios) . man home sure changed a lot T-T
Ooo
THAT ART 👀
i wish i was a pre global release moth, imagine all the knowledge i could hold
I saw placement of a lot of realms changed too. Mountain Isle, Aviary tower
So to connect that all to wasteland.... inhale
I feel like there may have been a sorta political war to gain control of the light factories which eventually turned into an all out war when someone leaks something about a hidden treasure and whoever finds the treasure will gain control of the factories and in turn the economy
Unfortunately it was all a hoax, or so it was thought, because everything was cut short when eden fell
ikr I'm super envious about it
(this is me regretting not downloading the game pre-global release and learning the lore in advace. this is literally ME REGRETTING)
do u remember the old realm names aswell? names similar to hebrew names of elders like lamed tsadi daleth etc
SIXTEEN???? ah man that's so much but so cool. i wonder if they'll ever add that amount - i'm assuming not, as it'd probably require more space in the home hub. but i do think adding even two or three more would be so cool
ah yes
I heard shores of mana for wasteland, have not watched enough to know of any others yet.
what are you guys discussing now
Sky'll get chonkier too
Yes.
same. i think the other realms would be sub-realms (realms within realms)
like literally imagine how painful it'll be candle and winged light running, as well as collecting spirits

- storage space. that'll be like 10GB + at this point and your phone would explode

am i the only one that vaguely remembers about cities being called with hebrew names
which might be bad for ppl with low phone memory
As for the city itself, it was probably surrounded by water
Wasteland was most likely a bunch of 'floating cities' of sorts with big outer walls surrounded by untamed wilderness and beaches
I never heard of that. Sounds plausible though.
another thing to add is i think a lot of people see the wasteland as society's downfall in sky, but we see this beginning in the hidden forest. all the failed projects, traps, etc...and then i can only assume that the valley was peak of sky's civilization, as we see grand buildings and all that. and the vault it the last attempt and maintaining all the knowledge (vault....of knowledge.....lol im so smart amirite). even there though we see evidence of destruction
im glad to have it on switch, because i think it'll be able to handle it!! i have botw so if it can handle that hopefully chonky sky will be fine
it was sort of old fanon names, the cities having an alias in hebrew
exactly which is why i think the idea was reworked to have minimal storage space but still keep the lore intact.
speaking of vault of knowledge. i don't know if it's intentional but behind the floating scrolls/lanterns(?) is an empty room you can walk on. i don't think it's considered oob already, but could it be there was an entire room stripped out?
Can we have modern city at night now?
Also in the secret area you can see posters of each realm with like
Isle- birth, beginning
Prairie- child, first steps
Forest- young adult, Exploration
Valley- adult, glory days
Wasteland- adult, getting old
Vault- elder, passing on wisdom
Eden- death, rebirth
I forget exactly what they say but it's something like that
Also includes precious King/Prince and Megabird artwork
Yeee
i think this means the progression of a moth's life/journey towards eden.
Well I know that but the realms are also designed with that in mind
Yes, the realms have themes that represents stages of life. Along with the stages of civilization
are we gonna see the birth of society in isle next season after lp
They said the realms all represent three things:
• The stages of life
• The evolution of civilization
• Times of day
which includes rain as a time of day for some reason
Man one day we may just get a lore season
Unfortunately tho it would have to pertain to new players
But it could still work
Especially considering that the 'lore' is just breadcrumbs strewn about the realms
Oh man imagine wasteland but covered in overgrown grasses and vines n stuff
eden is beans at 3am
Damnnnnn
the spirit is forest mama right
why is she traveling with the prince
and forest mama is evil yes
i think it's a Spirit
Me watching the trailer: "wait, this is supposed to be sky light awaits trailer!"
IS THERE EVEN A LORE IN SKY
Help I'm so confused
I've been playing sky but I still don't know what is the story lol
welp you’re in for a long ride
HEHEHWHHWHAAHAHAHAHAH, A LORE MOFF I SEE
the timeline we play on is centuries after the catastrophe, the lore is basically; elders fell, established cities, created tech, king came to play, created big boom boom tic tac, it explodes and voila
nevermind that’s the wrong iceberg
megabird wakes us up, yeets us to do cleanup, the end
megabird is the name of the galaxy
also apparently a goddess who makes moths
I know this but I want the more explained story and complete lore I'm tired assuming the stories just from the drawings in the walls 😩 I don't speak pictures
psst, hey lore moff…wants some docs
welp tgc can provide that, not us, all we do is theorize and believe wat makes the more sense for us
Bro yes, like when I was a moth, I studied the paintings so hard bc I wanted to get into the lore, but then I gave up trying to interpret it all pretty quick lol
Oh god I'm a moff again
Spirits are possibly cough heart dealers
wait there's something like this?
lore moff, but u r prolly not a moff in Sky it seems..
Anyways, wants some docs lmao (about lore and theories and stuff ig)
yes
Well I only play since Assembly lol I'm a moff, but with an elder hair 😣
assembly moffs yeeees
Also yes please gimme ur docs😩
Okao
may i have it too? @icy spruce
theres lots btw
May I also have docs pls?
I rly like gibli movies that's why the new trailer trigger my soul so bad
Ayyy assembly moff brethren!
Sure, just wait
I got the compilation of dev quotes called lore doc https://docs.google.com/document/d/10ZWJRGiJSrIXgDvJ4pST61moZbVB_hBExUjOaF-pmOE
I've been trying to learn the stories from the walls since my first day and I got no clue
Its just useful tidbits. No pressure to read it.
Anyways
*dumps the whole lore doc*

These are just theories and all, don’t gotta follow them lmao
(No pressure also)
Also I think the two main points of actual hidden lore, are King and Megabird. They not explained at allll.
So a bird that called megabird exist?!
king propaganda
Kind of a bird? More like a...uhhh
Megabirb. Makes for great fried chicken.
Yep
Oh god I'm a moff
fried galaxy legs
I love some MFC
Megabirb fried chicken
Is the megabird the one outside Citadel?
this player needs guide to the lore, help them
no pressure, lore's not that deep
Beta left overs
We wish. Cause I accidentally step on it most times (:
looks over at tgc
Also theres Prince/King who shows up in real subtle ways EVERYWHERE and “isnt around to be saved anymore” the Eden elder.
tgc employees looking at random people in lore chat talking about things they didn’t intend
KING PROPAGANDA
so anyways these things are theorized to be pre corrupt krills
there’s a very long explanation but I’m not bothered to explain it all currently
some people think it’s an elder manta and some call it krillmantawhales
I just call them manatees because it’s easier
Someone explain the season of prophecy please cuz it's the only season I feel important to know
trials?
its a season focused on the prince's journey
oh so the four elements lived in peace until one day the not fire nation attacked and only the prince can harness the 4 elements blah blah blah
I feel it's neither. It has a horse mouth. It's a specie that doesn't exist right now.
The mural is the Prince heading to the trials, winning the elements, giving them to the elders, becoming king maybe.
and then there are cave paintings with 2 dead moths in every trial
Starting of Sky
Trials exists to find the chosen one, shiny boi (Prince) descended and speedrun trials, Prince got crowned as the chosen one
(A THEORY, NOT CANON)
Speaking of.. pics chesca up.. let's go trial
now as u can see, there is alot of different interpretation, theres no clear explanation to anything lore related cus tgc dont give them out
the trailer was a prequel though, might have gone extinct
or it has its only food source taken away after the stars fall and they try to krill moffs in order to get their light back
Did the prince use the spin glitch or rocket?
if u want to find clarity, u find it urself
Prince crowned king, darkness is chased away, the elders use the elements to make the land flourish
Krill prolly existed forever.
But theres like 500 theories they are robots or corrupted things
I'VE BEEN WONDERING IN THE CAVE FOR DAYS PLS DON'T TELL ME TO FIGURE IT MYSELF 😩
ask specific questions lol, thats easier to give thought about
8 fallen bodies.....8 students in the prophets memories......
and one prince
Starting of Sky
Trials exists to find the chosen one, shiny boi (Prince) descended and speedrun trials, Prince got crowned as the chosen one
(A THEORY, NOT CANON)
clearly i havent looked at prophecy murals long enough, thank u kamilico
you know that feeling when you type like a large paragraph and then you accidentally type a word and everything gets deleted automatically
There is a kid fallen in “follow” spirit memory too. They found him. That child is theorized to be the same one in the murals.
same
sounds like a plot of a certain game with suspicious individuals
Is Eden in top of vault or something
Ye, Eden is the mountain
My math is easier than this lore
Theres honestly not much solid lore thats 100% proven. Basically the only thing 100% canon is: the stars fell.
Isle and vault didn't get an element light
It does looks like most students have died in the ice trial bc of how windy and slippery it is
And water trial bc of the poisonous water
Fire trial bc of the krill like things and probably starvation (dk if I said starvation right)
And earth trial bc of how confusion and the yk where you get to the end part you have to do some jumping
And they probably also died from starvation
Correct!
The ICE trial?
now the question of why they didnt get an element is wat were trying to figure out
air right
isnt air trial just ice with wind
fire trial is literally just darkness with candles
The trial of water, patience. The trial of earth, patience. The trial of air, geez im running out of patience.
it do be like that tho
Jk I love the trials so much.
So? Is there any explanation u know
All wisdom is secretly Patience, there are no Fire, Wind and Earth all Elders got Water /j
Yes
Ice trial has slippery grounds and is hella windy
the trial of fire? patience and the 4th dimension of darkness
I'm trials average enjoyer
Also a basic questions, can someone explain what is "the stars fell"? Like, the stars in the space?
Forest gets water, uses it for rain. Wasteland gets fire, uses it to power turrets. Prairie gets earth, grows a harvest. Valley gets air, powers windgates. Vault and Isle are unique realms. Being the entrance to skykingdom, and the closed off vault.
The stars are Elders and Ancestors. People. Prolly.
Ancestors and Elders (well, Elders are more like constellations)are Stars and they fell into the World of Sky
the only theory that kinda makes sense imo is, isle and vault have a greater role than using the elements to cultivate their respective realms, isle being the sheperd and vault being the knowledge holder
Maybe the Eden king was the one who created those creatures (krills and fire krills)
This can explain on how dark and scary golden wasteland is
rather they aint have no time building them cities when they already have purpose
Oh god so we still have real stars in the sky?
I might make u confused but I'm more confused cuz my mind made me confused more than I made people confused so I'm more confused
Basically, I'm confused
it do be do be do ba do be like that tho
Imo, I think dark creatures are just corrupted light creatures
I thought the people stars ARE the night sky stars. But then like. Theres still night sky stars in the game.....
That's what I thought
wasteland is actually kind of a warzone and factory
I believe it also serves as some kind of eden fortress
Also krills may also be sort of guards as they krill moffs who are intruders
Eden king and golden wasteland elder probably had a big war
I think lore wise, it is sky stars that fall. Like in switch trailer. Its like how some cultures believe their dead become stars?
So originally there's no Eden elder, but the prince became the elder of Eden (?)
There used to be one oob which showed wasteland elder standing over a fainted king
gw is a would-be industrial part of golden valley if u follow the theory of the two cities being one, the battlefield is just an aftermath
That was part of proph mural. It was just stored there.
actually, gw in itself, is an industrial realm. its where tech were cultivated and advanced further
C'mon tgc look at us! Just release a book or movies
I heard in a dev update video they mentioned an artbook in the works?
Wasteland is the only place we know where there’s a large factory which supposedly makes manta juice to power diamonds
Large bones (whale?)
war helmets based off whale/ coelacanth heads
manatees have lights, were mounts and now don’t have food. Corrupted manatees inside the remains of mantas?
release thy artbook
Lmao yea father, mother and parents look your children are making new books and movies
The switch trailer shows the real stars are dead and fell
but we got stars on sky in game
forest temple is a factory that makes diamonds out of manta juice
wait hol up just a sec
if the game is Sky, and we are children of light... does that mean we are stars on sky?
It does look like a manta which is slightly corrupted and damaged
well yes
forest elder may be evil
Wasteland factory also works as fort before eden
It would be pretty cool if the game actually started out with no stars, and as you return spirits, see them again. But that takes continuity, and I don’t have that level of faith.
Also the lore more makes sense if it's sky light awaits instead of children of the lights
itd be more cool if krills werent so lame too
Forest Elder pin poem seems to indicate she feels pretty guilty....
We basically are a food chime thingy
We die, our body gets dark and becomes a statue, we reborn get all the wing lights a.k.a old fallen spirits or maybe us
the light awaits for our return, but now we are already the children of light and the light didnt actually told us to return to it-
used to be evil
She keeps a scarred whale as her pet
i mean, she did create the first factory
Bruh, from what I seen of light awaits updates, they changed the story all the time. I honestly don’t believe they got a story pinned down
they only say they left it open ended, but there is actually no lore
ok theory that will be disproved immediately but it’s funny
all realms happen in the same dimension at different periods of time and each elder is a president
yes I know this is impossible
maybe it once a mutualism relationship, both need each other company. but then the elder started to egt greedy and now it more into parasitic relationship????
But we just wanna create new books and movies
We ain't makin no lore
Am I the one that thinks they actually have no storyline? It's like look at hiking grouch and tell me if they care with the lore
thats part of it
theorizing about nothing is fun
also why would they make a lore chat if that was the case
Yes but actually no
The new switch trailer was a huge lore dump, is there anywhere I can find someone discussing about this?
Also remember when we thought isle used to be a sea
Anyway. I was supposed to go bed an hour ago. I should have learned I would be tempted by lore chat! Goodnight yall
in here my man
So they have the idea to write the lore cuz they don't have it really completed
sanctuary was a summer season, they wanted to create smth thatll radiate summer cus of the pandemic raging on
imo the sky level actually raising when we arrived
And it worked
Still my favorite area aside from oob places where there’s nobody else
Ah, my first season pass
Ah my non existing season pass which I never got
Ah, the Season I was born to…Sanctuary
Is the elders actually a Giants?
ah yes, sanctuary moffs
It was enchantment for me
Ye, I think I remember seeing somewhere that sometimes seasons "break canon" or something to help with the season story or smth? Idk correct me if I'm wrong
is that tomie? in your pfp?
Ah yes rich people who can afford a pass
I’ll participate in any season that includes floaty skills and different honks
eyyyyyy
tomie my beloved
Same
Me when I have rich skykid friends
they said that to address the manta glasses having glass despite glass not existing in sky, not specifically for this tho
next season gonna be filled with millionare skykids
Me when my friends don't give me A pass
you guys have friend?
Your friends gives passes?
remember when we thought isle was a port
So how will the season of little Prince connect to sky lore
which im conveniently going to bring back, where do the do be do glasses of manta glasses glass tho?
Is it a canon or not idk I'm confused
its a collab
You guys have rich friends?
Idk it's just a universe clash
probably not

Is it... A multiverse? Lol
Probably
