Also this is kind of off topic, but I scrolled back in the lore chat to see what I missed today and someone said something about how sky kids’ purpose could be more preventive to stop darkness from spreading, and it got me thinking about how we could have been initially sent by the elders/megabird to help save the world for the ancestors when they were alive, as we know that sky kids and ancestors coexisted for a time, but then the fall happened and all the ancestors died, and we are left behind, still trying to help save the world for an extinct race.

I personally theorize that the world of Sky/Kingdom of Purgatorio is kept under some kind of stasis. Time doesn't really move a lot in order to keep the darkness where it is and not spread any further whilst Sky kids try to draw it back. It's possible the Citadel/orrery got frozen in a time where the Twins could still maintain that balance -

I'd like to point out that the fact that an orrery exists suggest that the ancestors might've been studying astronomy, making Valley not only a center for entertainment, leisure and grandeurs but also for astronomical study. Could it be that this discovery of this branch of their science be one of the reasons of their disconnection from the megabird ? Debunking their old belief of astolatry because of the rise of diamond technology and science ?
