Soo basically the krills are usually located in two places, GW and Eden... So since Golden Wasteland are filled with many more krills, My theory is that the krills in Golden Wasteland are just training to replace the other krills that may die when the children give winged light so everytime a krill krills someone they're basically showing off their preparedness to go to eden but in reality all of them get wiped in a second

Okay so.. I've always seen Prophecy was where the OG lights come from. The elemental lights (The ones in the Prophecy Cave monolith. Earth, air, water and fire) are natural.. Or at least more powerful and the Colored Orbs (the four + ) are lesser than the aforementioned four

dumb thought but i've realized it makes not much sense to consider the murals in the cave of prophecy as an in-action depiction of events - i've realized that it's possible when they were made, they were a prophecy that got fulfilled later instead of vice-versa (something happened and them painting it)

I was wondering, since that contributes to my own perception of the Sky lore. I don't really know much about it, but one thing I cling to is the idea that Sky kids existed, or at least started becoming a thing, back in the times of the ancestors, hence why the flying races exist in the first place

i'm floating around isle looking for interesting stuff to screenshot and i think the sea level was also higher at the time of the spirits (it explains the pointing spirit's boat being where it is) but also i don't understand the logistics since some spirits, like ushering stargazer and their friend walking around on seemingly dry land

Since the game was originally single player, I am guessing we originally find out that we are the Prince reincarnated at the end. But it was switched to a multiplayer game and I think that's how we get the many winged light, many kids waving in orbit, and many players. And I guess that each of us is sort of a reincarnation of the Prince.
But it could also be true that there were multiple sky kids in Prince's day and Prince was just the one to win the trials.

my idea of the whole prince thing:

first skykid falls down -> ushering stargazer discovers it -> brings it to isle elder -> isle elder is like "aww this is my son now" -> trials happen at some point -> prince becomes king and king becomes Evil/corrupted -> vault elder is like "woah woah woah this is not okay we need to seal away the king" -> isle elder does not like it and is like "no! my boy!" -> fight ensues, isle's mask is seriously damaged while vault is scuffed up a little -> king is put away in eden 5ever (presumably)

that could explain why isle elder is not present on any of the eden doors, while vault elder is at the very top as if they headed the decision somehow

and also, isle elder's mask is not damaged on neither their shrine nor the portal to their realm, so it makes me think that those things being built predates the damage i think it's the same with the vault elder but i'd have to double check, my interest mostly lies with gramps so that's why i have his stuff memorized

(i do this fun thing where when i have a conjunction i flip my phrases around and it makes no sense, please correct me if i do that and fail to catch myself hahahah...)

and also, another point about isle elder: some people think that the default moth hair is the prince's hair, and the isle elder's mask only repairs itself when he sees you... which makes me think he was just sitting around hopeless the entire time, and seeing someone who strongly resembles his child (there's no booth to change cosmetics in isle after all) kind of restores his faith that things can get better?

i feel like vault elder is not a bad person, just someone who's really pragmatic

I have never viewed the trials as mental tests. By the cave paintings you can put together that the elements are physical and are required for a goal that's probably good. So I don't think the trials are mental. But the guy who came up with the fire trial needs a proper scolding

I think the Prince grew to be the very large King, who used that red diamond for the mask's eye. Then the King explodes and became a great multitude of fragments of the Prince. Those fragments that ascended were reborn as us, and those fragments that landed in the Sky realm are more like ghosts in limbo: the winged light.

The reason I think this is because the glowy kid who waves to us in Orbit looks like the glowy kid in the Isle spirit memory and also like the Prophecy mural kid. And they all look like the winged light kid.

Unsure if this is like, a common theory or not, so I'm just going to throw out a brief summary first: Sky children are not pure light but are also partially dark, The sheer amount of darkness and ruin on/in Eden is a direct result of all the light manipulation due to a natural balance being required between light and dark

And the more out there theory with those two in mind is that perhaps the disaster that is eden is downright intentional, to provide a balance of dark to match the light that is the spirits in Orbit

Perhaps at some point Krill were, well, like actual krill: Teeny tiny, mostly harmless. Dark plants probably grew in dark dank places and were only really harmful if tampered with. But you make Light explode with spirits, stars, and creatures made of the stuff, and Dark does the same to maintain balance.

Following the idea of the whole eden mess being intentional: It was likely a massive castle/city in which hundreds of people lived in, but when people began to ascend as spirits, whoever was in charge knew balance had to be maintained. And...well, it's not like spirits living in the stars need a big physical city anymore.

The Eye of Eden is actively pumping out dark crystals and black storms. When the majority of the city had ascended, they flipped the switch. Let the dark take it, a place of shadow to mirror their place of light. Granted, I don't think it went according to plan. Spirits weren't suppose to be stranded.

Also, woops, turns out the ascended spirits still like their home? And might want to visit and exist down there? Considering we have spirits coming down to build treehouses and give prophecies.

A small addition to the Eye of Eden being an intentional dark thingy: The Vault Elder looks incredibly hesitant and almost guilty over their small diamond. To the point where they trust the Children to light the way rather then themselves. They probably had a hand in the Eye's creation, and are deeply regretful it turned out the way it did.

the Eye of Eden did explode yes, the Diamond of eden is basically made of Darkstone that perhaps absorbed too much light from everyone surrounding it to the point where it caused an explosion strong enough to destroy the whole realm and kill everyone who was near it. i like to think that the King made this diamond as a way to fend off Darkness from Eden (the planet where all the realms reside in) as a way to have power similar to the Megabird, little did he know that with too much Darkstone he could bring down the realms entirely and it'd be his fault

he already got the warning, from Megabird and the Isle Elder, who probably even fought the King himself but lost against him which explains why his mask is broken

so the whole story revolves around the King

Wait, I realized something about our skids' designs

I once shared here a headcanon that the Prince themselves served as a connection between the Light creatures and the Ancestors

The concepts in Sky had us as hybrids between dark and light to make us a mix of ancestors and light creatures. Since the ancestors doesn't seem to be strongly correlated to darkness in the current lore, I dont think its the case anymore

However, I realized the designs and patterns on our skids have elements of the Elders, Ancestors and Light creatures all in one

There's a small diamond design on our skid where the glowing circle on our chest is, reminiscent of the Elders

There's also subtle triangle designs on the edges of our sleeves, shirt and shorts that resembles the attires of the Ancestor Spirits

And of course, our cape that allows us to fly is a connection to the Light Creatures

so i have a lore that's based on the Season of Prophecy
so, the Prophets. they were another one of the realms elders that i dont think we ever got to see as canon but my guess is that they were passed down to other skychildren that grew into the Prophets we all come to see as spirits in the Cave of Prophecies. then one day, the King who is supposedly the golden child in the murals of the Cave of Prophecies came to mastered all 4 trials and lend his wisdom to the realms. With the Wisdom of Patience given to the Forest, the Wisdom of Resilience given to the folks of Prairie, Balance to Valley, and lastly the Wisdom of Courage given to Wasteland
