In my own theory, I deduced that this is proof of Vault being the original Eden Elder before the king or whoever ruled after her came into power. Whether she was responsible for the break out of darkness across the kingdoms or the new ruler was, it's unclear, but in my personal ideas for the lore, Vault's summit reflects the peak of Eden's tower because she's clinging onto what she had before the fallout.

The elders are supposed to learn from their mistakes, right? The Vault elder lets us send the light upwards, showing that they have grown as a person and are now ok letting go to things, you can see this as in the cutscene when they hold the diamond close to themselves they close their eyes and then find the willpower to let go of it. To be ok with changes around them and changes that affect them.

Here is the specific part of the Prophecy art that I used to support my Vault Eden ruler connection theory a fat scroll back in this chat, by the way
You see the krill down, hidden in the clouds, representing darkness's unknown presence
Vault Elder's capsules and summit inside the mountain of Eden
And even the way the Vault Elder is represented. I'll go hunting for an image of the statues in Eden later, maybe, but it's very obvious to me that they're meant to be a similar person.

So now we freeze when one of our lives end. That means we leave our shell in Eden. And that one of our friends will come and free us.
The kids in Eden are all us now.
We are continually giving lights and inching closer and closer to the diamond as a collective effort. Maybe someday we all reach the diamond and truly achieve an end

Personally I like to think the kid we hug is ourselves, whenever we die we see a black void and a single winged light, in eden we can hug it. The rest of the game is about helping each other, but in some times we must have self reliance. A piece of light was tied in an unbreakable bond to our soul, so that when we die we can bring ourselves back. The 5 lost statues before sacrifice are unable to be saved, the 63 in sacrifice can be saved, we can save ourselves. Even though we can save ourselves, we still are inclined to help others. Before it was save to be saved, now its save to save.

Who knows it may be to simply help the old civilians ascend and to also help ourselves move on with our own new world of peace and harmony

Well, I talked about how each realm actually didn’t just represent a stage of life, but actually also represented SOMEONE’s stages of life, which was the Prince’s.
GW having the most King statues makes sense because it also represents the stage of Prince/King’s life during adulthood, so of course it’ll be full of statues of themselves as an adult.

actually, all of the largish red diamonds in eden vibrate when we are close to them. They shrink too! This is actually why I think the darkness is benevolent, it tries to prevent us from getting hurt by it. The krill and the crabs have a timer instead of just attacking immediately.

That means the kid we meet there is from our own minds ape. Meaning that it’s most likely ourselves.

that's just it, it is easier, but not truly necessary. Despite not needing too, we, our sky kids, choose to help others. The first time we go in eden, we give our winged lights to the statues and see that we lose them when giving them, despite this, we continue to give. We've already accepted that we may not make it out alive but that doesn't mean we cant go out helping others. We weaken ourselves to help them without even knowing what will happen next, we don't know they grant us gifts until after the first time they give us them. After it all, we see one more being in need of help, though now we stumble when we walk and our honks are weak, we go to them. Despite the great pain it must cause us, those who can barely hold themselves up, we extend a hand, and we take hold of that hand. We offer a hug of comfort, a hug of love. We offer it to ourselves, the new soul in need of saving, has saved itself. An act of kindness, not of selfishness, we don't recognize the child as ourselves, but it is. We see those in need and go to help, even if what we see is just a mirror. We comfort the new soul that's curled up in eden now, we comfort the new statue that has only now been frozen, we know we can look outward for help, but now with our eyes sealed shut we can only see inward. And inside of our stone enclosure we find a lost child, we find ourselves...

I think GW had a bit of a civil war, diamond guys against anti diamond guys. But that got cut short when krills showed up and made it hard to have a war when both sides are being eaten by giant shrimp. They joined forces, which is why light creatures skeletons are there, they helped fight krill, and why TsadiGW elder has both sides weapons and shields.

I always thought of the giant skeletons in the graveyard to be remnant of the war. The krill are constantly scanning over the skeletons in search of light to attack, and in my opinion, that kind of represents a krill's instincts/possible programming to keep animals out of the holy land. In concept art for reincarnation in light creatures, it's specified that unnatural death leaves a corpse behind. Giant whale skeletons, maybe, cause the Wasteland Elder's mask represents a whale skull (refer to the skeleton in Forest's boneyard).

Part 1: Origins
Through an unknown means, the 4 Prophets came upon our world, with nothing but a blank void. The Prophets created the world of Sky in full, but no creature was living there. They foresaw the arrival of the Elders, and not wanting to cause conflict between the two groups, went into hibernation in the Cave of Prophecies and left their corporeal forms to become spirits. The Prophets, wanting to share their elemental powers with the arriving people, created the Trials so that people could harness the prophet’s powers.

Part 2: Elders and Realms
Soon afterwards, people (not skykids) arrived in sky, and settled in the seven lands. The leader of each land were the elders, who were demigods. Each realm (excluding one) provided a specific purpose to the benefit of the kingdom: Isle created and shipped birds, Prairie created and shipped butterflies, Forest used birds and butterflies to produce many items, Power Diamonds being one of them, Valley provided entertainment, Vault was the center of research and studies, and Eden was the population center. Golden Wasteland was just a settlement of the massive Underworld, and tried but failed at producing power diamonds. Because there was little light in the Golden Wasteland, it was a hub of darkness, and Dark Dragons are only a small sample of the terrifying beasts in the land. The forts in Golden Wasteland thrived for a little bit, but failed when the catastrophe came.

Part 3: The Passing of the Elders
The Elders, although living for a long time, were not immortal, and saw that their days were numbered. They were planning to move to a place outside of space and time to rest forever, but one Elder was not happy with this plan: the King, or Eden Elder. Unlike the others, the King had no power or skill of his own, and was only a leader. Seeing that his legacy would be far smaller than the other elders, he became something immortal, something worse: the Storm of Eden. The King turned into the ||red Diamond found in Eden||, and unleashed unspeakable havoc on the other realms. The other Elders, seeing that the Storm was indestructible, created the Skykids: angel-like creatures that could be infinitely reborn and were tied to the light. The Skykids would be the perfect beings for repopulating the world. Thousands died, but a select few heard of the Elder’s plans, and became Spirits so that they could teach the Skykids many things. The other Elders executed their plan, but decided to show the Skykids the power of their own light and what it can do.

Part 4: The Theme of Legacy
The overarching theme of this interpretation is legacy. The Prophets, Elders, and Spirits have one thing in common: they made sure to have a positive influence on others long after they left. This can carry over to you: even when you leave Sky, your gratitude and positive impressions will last in other’s minds. However, you should not become obsessed with it, like the Eden Elder.

Although my interpretation is probably bad, I’m still proud of it. I hope you all like it!

and here in the hall to the cave it is shown that the element of wind rested upon floating rocks, however not too many floating rocks appear in the valley, except for one place

out of all the out of bounds areas, this one may be canon to the lore. i think that these islands in the distance may have hosted the air element before the darkness from the wastes’ factories became a threat and was moved to a safer place in the triumph range (the pure waters of a mountain lake that may feed the rain of the forest)

I don't think the elements were given to the respective elders merely because of their geographic location/area and what's in it. We can't forget about the wisdom that each element gives once you complete the trial, the air trial gives you the wisdom of balance which I think fits perfectly with the valley elders. Them being two is a metaphor of the two sides of a spectrum, light and dark, good and evil, yourself and outside influence and everything else that must be kept balance between

I used to interpret it as selfishness and anger, but I've come to look at it in a more optimistic light. Maybe she's just eager. She's shown as being sad and helpless when you first start the cutscene, without a light to enact her purpose - anyone would be blind to the effects their desperate desires caused if they were without an essential part of their lives.

I haven't really put much thought into the prophets for base game lore
I suppose it doesn't help that in all four of my spin offs the prophets don't exist KWJDKDHHAHAHA
I was always content with the idea that the prophets were just that - spirit prophets. I assumed they studied the stars and dressed themselves as creatures that would represent the energies and powers that already existed in the world. They taught the younger spirits about the prophecy and I just kind of accepted it. Thinking of them as higher than the Elders themselves is very interesting, though. Us as skychildren are sent on a journey to restore light to the world. We give up the lights we've collected throughout the 6 kingdoms to offer to the fallen spirits of those before us. We travel, we die, we rebirth, we travel, we die, we rebirth, etc etc the cycle continues and yet
We don't see any change. The storm continues to rage on, the statues remain even after we save them in the exact same place. The kingdoms are still riddled with dark plants and dark water and corruption and krill and disaster. We live in a frozen time period, stuck in a never ending loop of death and rebirth for what purpose? We see no change, and the only reason why we climb the mountain is for a few red candles that let us get more wing buffs. From a story standpoint, it kind of feels like a fruitless endeavour.

In the summit cutscene, you see all the murals depicting the Elder's constellations and the images behind them. In Vault's constellation mural, you see her and the spirits using the capsules. At the top of the mural, you see a creature resembling a manta exiting one of the capsules.

ANOTHER CONNECTION I JUST MADE:
When we light the more ghost light capsules, they project a light that's focused into the diamond. What else projects light? Krill. What other theory is there? That krill are artificial constructs. What's my theory? Vault used to rule Eden.

Wrote smth in cozy chat abt languages in different realms and thought I'd share em here

Isle: The language is lost to time, only those born during the time of the Elders would know how to speak them, however the power it carries is far too great for it to be spoken. Hence, it remains a dead language forever

Prairie: Most dialects spoken in the realm usually sound friendly- especially those spoken on the Sanctuary Islands- the locals sound friendly, and sometimes can get a little too carried away with their warm hospitality

Forest: Their language is considered the universal language as their realm is responsible for the invention of many useful machines- although there also remains another ancient language few Forest locals know how to speak

Valley: Probably has the most dialects due to its distinct divide between different classes. People of lower classes speak more crass language and focus mainly on slang. Language spoken among Valley nobility, however, is more sophisticated and emphasizes heavily on grammar. Perhaps that is why so much conflict happens between people of different classes

Wasteland: Their language sounds cold and harsh to non-speakers, like the war that one fell on the forsaken land. However, Wasteland locals are anything but that

Vault: Languages ancient enough to not be recognized by many, but not too ancient that those who understand it are already dead

I have an observation!
In the document posted here, it says that the creatures of light are kind of like compressed light. They burst from the clouds as a result of light coming together to form a physical being.

In the cutscene for the Laughing Lightcatcher in Prairie, we see her and another spirit attempting to store orbs of light in jars/vases. What can we find in those vases? Butterflies (Prairie Elder temple, Forest Undergound Caverns). Butterflies, according to the Sky reincarnation theory, are immature birds which are immature mantas, etc etc.

My conclusion? The vases are incubators.

Well, the only place that Krills appear are in Golden Wasteland. Because Wasteland is the place with the least amount of light, not counting Eden (third being Forest), I suspect that Krills are simply creatures that appear from the darkness.

I mean, think about it. The realms are nice but seem kinda empty. Where would the spirits lives? Sure Valley has a village that has plenty of houses there. I'm sure it was enough at one point in history. But what about the rest of the realms?

So I believe each realm are only fragments and the spirit elders work to open new areas for the skykids to work and fix the world

I don't think so, my interpretation of the first trial murals is that the one with horns ( ♉ maybe a boat mask) is the Isle Elder and probably the Elders fell before the Darkness grew closer (in my Headcanon, they saw its coming from lightyears away) and decided to descend to help the unaware civilians which prayed them to find a way to ascend, if not by spiritual means by technological means (the beams and the diamonds we see in Forest and Vault cutscenes)
