When calculating eden's population its important to remember its on top of a mountain and to get there u need to be in vault first... So I'd say less than 100

You also gotta consider that eden was (assumedly) the King's home/and or the capitol building. On your journey through eden you encounter large organized structures like barracks, the ruins of statues and homes, etc. The place is also massive and way too large for there to be so few people. There would have to be soliders, servants, elders, peoples of high standing within the Sky government, scholars, etc

My theory is that those pots were holding butterflies, but, after someone noticed the tiny darkplants nesting there, freed them and thus meaning we see these tiny plants dead & unburnable

To sustain this idea there are also the crates full of butterflies in the Underground Cave in the Sunny Forest. Big plants growing out of them and lots of butterflies still alive
