Idk if this has been mentioned before, but they updated the Ushering Stargazer spirit cutscene. She sees a star falling, and she runs to it, and when she gets to irl it looks like what we do in the scene before orbit.

The star in the sky looks like the ones on the murals, I didn’t get a picture of it unfortunately.

I think this pretty explicitly explains what we are

theory: this skykid is the child of light, prince, king, and eden child
This scene practically mirrors the Water Trial mural. We see an 8-pointed star falls to Isle, and next we see a skykid on a boat being sent to the Prophecy Caves. Factoring this in with the depiction of the Child of Light in the intro mural being the same as the child in the Prophecy murals, I believe it is safe to assume that these three children are depictions of the same person. Next, we see the Child of Light completing the Trials and being crowned—either King or Prince, I’m unsure. But one thing is for certain, this child is the Eden Elder. Now, why do I think that ? Well, looking back to the opening murals, we see that the Child of Light falls and becomes the Eden Elder, and in Prophecy we get a more detailed look at how that actually happened. And considering the Eden Elder is likely the King, we can assume that this child is the King. My reasoning for them being the Eden Child is rather simple. Both are opaque white with no features aside from their clothing. By extension, this gets into the Child of Light = Prince = King = Us theory, but for now I’ll leave it at that.

These spirits are classified as “whisperers” (such as bird whisperer), so I think the calls are more of a learned skill, and since you can actually summon animals in some specific cases (cosmic manta in vault), the calls are the animals’ language

First we see the murals depicting ancestors praying and stars falling later. Then we see two people picking up the star that fell.
We can also see two people finding a falling star and discovering its a ?skid?. Maybe they are the same people from the murals. One is the ushering stargazer and the other looks a lot like the rejecting spirit.
In the cave of prophecy we see the isle elder and the people of isle help and cheer the 'prince' through the trials.
The princes head looks like the picture of the star we see picked up from the ground.

Following this storyline, I could conclude that the prince fell from the sky, but he wasn't the only one. However he was the only person that finished the trials under the elders leadership.

I hope what I wrote makes sense..

I was just thinking about it, why would TCG leave out the purple and red lights in Season of Prophecy?

It makes even less sense considering that every season leading up to Prophecy had 6 spirits

Not to mention why the different lights would be found in realms different from the ones they were "created" with.

Now that I think of it, would there be technically 7 lights if we include the regular balls of light that appear the tunnel in Dawn, or throughout the quests- the Prophecy Guide's mask has the same colored stripes as the lights

And considering the fact darkness can infect realms Like wasteland, then light can purify realms as well

actually, darkness is defined as the "lack of light", so Eden is probably not "darkness", but something else, like maybe ambition(trying to harness unnatural powers), betrayal(as in how people betrayed megabird) , etc. the lack of light won't hurt any sky kids, like dark caves don't drain light, and the sunlight doesn't recharge

from my theory, the light is used to maintain the whole sky-verse to "keep balance". You get light from megabird, you give it back.
And for the statues.....my theory is that there used to be no statues but then when the danger came you die and become statues after sacrifice, which means others need to save you in order to let you bring the winged light to orbit (notice that when you arrive at orbit, you have no winged lights, but you had a wing which came from the other people's sacrifice)
which means that basically you can normally just fly to orbit to sacrifice without all this pain, but the negativity or"darkness" decided to not allow you to do so anymore ;w;
||and in this situation, wing buffs are just the help the ancestors are offering. ||

Hi ! Been some time since I talked in this channel 😅... So been looking at some spirit memories and my interpretation of the Vault pray spirit (Praying Acolyte) is (below hehe):
1st memory: Pray praying for two people
2nd memory: Placing a candle down for a newly buried spirit/replacing a candle down
3rd memory: Placing a candle down for a newly buried spirit/replacing a candle down (same as before)
4th memory: Praying
5th memory: As she is gone (It doesn’t show her in the final memory), and the tomb is the biggest out of all the others (I think) in the pray room (and the highest in elevation), it could be that she died and was buried there, a high elite person was buried there, some items buried relating to a high elite person, someone she loved was buried there (soon dying of grief or being entombed/killed in darkness), other stuff... or it could be a medium-low class spirit... or nothing too important.
Of course that was my interpretation of it. Also have a cookie 🍪

If devs added all memories and left the last one then this could be the reason that they died there

Also the graves could be of vault Scholars since vault was sealed and most people weren't allowed to access it the vault people might've been buried there and some more were recruited from outside

I had an idea. What has bones in sky?
We know that skykids dont have bones: they are reborn, unless they are coated in darkness/lose all their light. Mantas, birds, butterflies, creatures of pure light don’t seem to have bones.
We see the “whale bones” in forest and the boneyard in gw, and the bones in vault. All of those HAVE to come from some sort of dark creature.
But are the whales dark?
I mean, their bones grow darkness on them (in the forest).
It could be that, just like the ancestors, some of the creatures were susceptible to corruption (pre-darkness blast/krill creation).
Have you seem the emoji for the underground forest fish creature? It’s head looking like a krill may be evidence for this ( )

The darkness could be natural, and everything susceptible to corruption (which I know is already a verified theme, but now this could extend to creatures alongside humanoids). We see so many light creatures just going about their day, not doing anything nefarious, it could be that the ancestor race was much of the same: the elder spirits provided locations where they were born and raised, and they just did their best to survive and live good lives.
In this situation, they were punished with extinction for the crimes of the elders

here is my theory tho : light creature are not suppose to 'die'. they are the main factor for the cycle of rebirth. so they of course will always rebirthed, goes through evolution whenever they got rebirthed. that could explain why there are so many shapes of mantas

Depends on the timeframe of the spirit, I mean some of em, like fainting warrior and scout, look to be armor. Early armor was often sculpted to resemble ferocious animals to intimidate other tribes of the same species, but here we’re talking about armor for a war between two different species, and I doubt whales scared the krill. It was most likely more for protection, but they really provide no protection from krill, so idk

If you want a more technical explanation, it's because rendering a shadow for a cape would give extra load to the device. As you can see even a skykid's shadow is just made out of chunks of circle following the movements of the player to help ease that load too but yeah,, cape made of light

Not nessasarily. We have been lighting candle after candle for a while now

Perhaps long ago, someone planted seeds from the vault tree, and set the candles up as fertalizer

We run around, doing our job, and feed the tree the light it needs to grow, but it does so under ground.

Now the network is HUGE, and our lighting is not gonna be enough, so it's sprouting tops

The light we have collected for ages was just sticky sap that gummed up the candles, so our removing it allowed the tree to feed and let us build new candles

That makes sense! All the ghost-esc trees in vault (except the last one) all sprout after lightning the white candles next to them and providing them the nutrients needed to grow

That reminds me of my theory, red candles are a soul which stores the memories/gift of all the lives he encountered
