TGC is functioning to wake up feeling and emotions when we play. I think it just intensify the magic of that fulfilled dream (the fact that it’s snowing).
Same for the night in the stadium. It puts us into a spectacular moment with fireworks and all. That’s part of the show. In a more practical manner, they didn’t had to put a public in the terraces, just lights.

Apparently, there is still no doc compiling information about the seasons. Some seasons, like prophecy, are connected to the main lore or depicts customs to provide new info about the sky kingdom.

Since the release on the Android platform, each season takes place in one realm. For the previous seasons, the spirits were wanderers that could be found in all the realms.
The last four seasons seems to obey the concept of the realm they are in.
Enchantment - Golden wasteland - Concept based on destruction and vulnerability.
Sanctuary - Daylight prairie - Concept based on harmony and interactions with light creatures.
Prophecy - Isle of Dawn - Concept based on the origins and the beginnings.
Dreams - Valley of triumph - Concept based on the golden age where people had time to compete, dance and make art.

Forest is transformation. There they receive the butterfly pots from prairie (childhood). In the forest, there is a sudden change. It’s raining, some trees are chopped, there are ruins and things that still are functioning. I think it’s adolescence because of that. It’s all about a new point of view, and new experiences. The forest lore is some sort of industrial revolution.

I think there is a night and day cycle in Sky, but it isn’t shown to us. Mainly because it’s not a ps5 game I guess. The game would become incredibly heavy if each map would have this kind of cycle...
The forgotten ark is under moon light when we end the enchantment quests. So, there is a cycle. But it’s impossible (physically) to put it into reality.

Ohhh that’s an interesting point of view. You know I always thought that perhaps it was because our teen years are the ones we struggle the most since it’s when we start to become more self conscious and discover ourselves, so the rain might represent the sadness we all go through at some point because of that struggle, and the chopped trees and the scattered bridge pieces represent how we’re ‘incomplete’ since we’re still midway into finding out who we are or who we want to be, and maybe that final moment in which we put the bridge back together and the rain stops could be that moment in which we finally learn who we are, but I’ve always thought I might have stretched my theory too far lol

I think that’s exactly what the devs when through when they designed that map. Your analysis is quite sharp and smart. This totally fits the “concept” of hidden forest.
They wouldn’t have the name of each zone with a specific age at the top of their presentation if they weren’t thinking about all this.

I assume the ark was constructed when the elders already shaped the sky world how they wanted. And in the prophecy, the kid is mentioned before the elders.

I think we are a version of the kid. We are a new community, all exactly like the kid, meant to collectively rekindle what the kid meant to this land. I assume that originally, the player was conceived as more like a direct reincarnation of the kid. But then, Sky became a multiplayer game.

I think the story is doing less time travels. At the beginning of the game, the mysterious narrator say that the elders were building a NEW home in the clouds. So there was no power diamonds causing the fall from the sky. And no palace in Eden either because it wasn’t there already.

My interpretation of the same idea you present is that we sky kids are the missing part that was lost when the Prince became corrupt. We are the innocence and what's left of the Prince is the power, and on our journey we unite and become whole, becoming the complete Child of Light upon hugging him in the dark place and merging. Then when we ascend, we are also that kid from Prophecy, finally finishing our journey.

Perhaps the corrupt Prince sought immortality in the Sky Realm, and got it, at the price of destroying the realm and him/herself,

It is and it isn't. The battlefield was clearly the central point of conflict. The ruined building, with its bird statue and style that seems more fitting with Valley, represents the era before the technological revolution that gave rise to the modern fortress and ship which have the more sinister design features.

It's not so simplistically about the relative locations of the buildings. It's about the conflicting ideologies these buildings represent.
Or, maybe the ruined building is just ruined because it isn't fortified.

Ok, lore that sky kids capes start short, like around the shoulders only, and grow when they gain stars. By teens to adult they should have at least 5 stars so full length cape. Exception for sky kids with capes that are animal like - manta, birds, butterfly, etc - theirs is full length. For example my oc with manta cape, he has the tail and the wings/rest of cape are attached to the tail and his back. Oc with rabbit tail cape retracts/disappears their cape, and is left with bun bun tail and scarf.

Basically fabric/main constellation capes start out really short

I don't really do theories so much, just my interpretation of the game into my story and lore, not analysing symbols and clues so much

Do you have any theory about how darkness corrupted the world of Sky (especially Golden Wasteland)? Like, where did it come from? If I'm not mistaken, there was once a king ruling: was he killed or something?

hi there! there's this timeline made by Tom Zhao, the graphic designer of sky if im not mistaken, that explains it
i'm not sure if that timeline is really updated bc a lot has changed in sky since then but basically the population started to mine dark stone, a material just kinda like gas, that advanced tecnology a lot but was also very powerfull
the creatures (mantas, birds, etc...) attacked the population so they would stop using those "things" bc it was hurting them
then the the king ordered the Wasteland Elder to build a huge fortress to prevent another creature attack
and after that something else happened but i don't remember well 😅 but was that thing that created ||eden|| as we know it
i can try to send you the timeline, i have it on my phone, even tho its a big photo and you probably wont be able to read it

There is a theory I really like about that.

In that theory, the king ruling the kingdom (let’s suppose he was the brightest star to fall from the sky) was creating a big power diamond 💎. The ones we use to open doors or activate elevators must be recharged with light. So he managed to create a big one that could suck the light naturally (just like the glowing red stones in Eden). He was doing that either to gain immortality or to power all the realms. During the creation process, he had to evacuate the waste that this experience was causing. Thus the pipes in Eden, and the pipes in wasteland. Something went wrong and the Cristal became unstable and blew the castle in an explosion, causing the storm. According to that theory, the red glowing stones are fragments of the final Cristal.

I’m merging various things I went through.

The motivation could be that the king was the first Sky kid, but he turned away from his original home and his ego grew until being corrupted by « darkness » (selfishness, power, all sorts of negative intentions).

the dark is used to store the light like how it does for a night sky and stars

the dusty crabs actually will help turn over the clean crabs

i used the crabs in sanctuary island and flew very carefully

and the krill in graveyard specifically

are covered in a dust

but it is light dust instead of dark dust

but another idea is that the light from the whales and tthe dark from the krill sort of fought

but the krill one and the whales died leaving bones

and the krill are covered in the now grey light dust showing the source is dead

like the fungi in forest

and the skids when their flame is out

What if Skykids are like "robots" and we are not real people, but the spirits and elders are real?
Because of what happened in Eden, all the "real people" got extinct and the Skykids were made (created before the extinction) and are powered by diamonds (and was part of the mass production) ??
That's why we don't see "real people" anymore and we can only relive their memories and can only learn emotes and get cosmetics from them. But because of their memories, we become "sentient robots"

basically the timeline tells about how every light being comes from megabird. they are one and the sa,e

the megabird granted the prince and creatures light, and the prince chose 6 ancestors to oversee the realms

the ancestors and creatures worship the fire, going to eden to die and be reborn.

creatures flight is a big advantage, the elder creatures offer flame to the prince and the kingdom to make boats.

the prince explored the hidden forest with the forest elder, and found dark stone, a materail that absorbs fire

they mined the forest and got new tech. the prince gave the ancestors special dark stones that make them godly.

But the dark stone absorbed too much frie, and the creatures attacked. reason why there is bones. the creatures were defeated, and they had to retreat.

then the ancients entered a golden age, and the prince was crowned king. however, the dark stone started to corrupt the prince and the ancestors.

the ancestors became disconnected and indifferent. they stopped returning to eden. the isle elder retired, having no new souls to shepherd.

the king ordered wasteland ancestor to build a fortress in golden wasteland, and weapons in the even of another attack.

also, along with that, a powerful ark / palace was built in the eye of eden. the ancestors seeked shelter inside it when the creatures attacked.

the elder creatures and their armies sacrificed themsels to destroy the ark, and a storm filled the darkness created from the exploosion. corruption spread, and the stones cursed the kings crown, trapping him in the storm.

the creatures caught in the storm got corrupted, becoming krill. decades pass. the world is destroyed and treacherous.

megabird calls for a new descendant race, in the hope that this new race will elp bring the souls back to megabird. (us)

we are guided by the isle elder. he guides us on our journey, showing us the direction. this is the story of sky.
