The Whale is a large, fish-like creature, which resembles an arowana. It is unclear whether the Whale is a fish or a mammal in the world of Sky. However, it only replicates Earth's Whales in size and not in appearance.

Whales can only be found in very specific locations; Underground Caverns below Sunny Forest, in the cloud-covered space between the Valley of Triumph and Golden Wasteland and also in one part of Eye of Eden (page will contain spoilers). Players cannot directly interact with Whales as they tend to feature in cutscenes or appear in the distance from where players spawn. Some players have been able to approach to the Whale in Eden as well as the one in Hidden Forest. These players have noted that contact will provoke damage – i.e. losing cape energy and perhaps Winged Light.
