if you want to ask, lets say, "HOW DA HECK DID EVERYONE NON-EXIST THO" i dont think you'll get an answer for, well, indefinitely (until TGC wants to craft out an answer within a new story)

In this vein I really want a similar season to this one, except set on the exterior of the base of the mountain. Sliding down the mountain past the most ornate villages of all, all destroyed, and getting chased by krill and some new dark mantas

Enter from Eden social area, travel down a steep seasonal area mountainside with the storm clouds just overhead, end up falling into Vault social area

Well, most people believe that the darkness might be krills. Though some people theorised that the darkness is actually another type like the darkness. Like, the darkness in the King's heart/mind (that made him go mad) or the greed of the Elder's to produce more diamonds, etc.

The most basic theme is the elder ancestor race neglected the balance with nature and went extinct

Rain was the quarry and forge where they would dig up light and materials and forge those energy stones. The gold ceiling apparatus in the temple is a press, and the side parts are receptacles for the finished stones

The rest is starting to get into the Royal and holy areas but everything is destroyed

The early concept was that beyond wasteland was a whole another city where I guess they totally forgot about the balance with nature, but they scrapped all of that

It would be cool to return in some form for a season though, great lore potential

What I like is that the first krill area has the same apparatus that is in the forest temple, except smashed up

I think that the forgotten ark got krilled in a thunderstorm. I think this happened after the events of the eden explosion.

If you are talking about the eden ark in the concept arts, it did say something about the elder creatures sacrificing their lives to stop the ark from getting completely to the rebirth beam. The elder creatures seem to be of similar size to the krill.
