He’s the only elder who points you to Eden as his memory. He knows “the old ways” of rebirth and the beacon and mega bird while the other elders are more concerned in their cutscenes with technology and things of “this” world.

Theres a theme here... every elder on this door to the ultimate city is an elder of technological progression. To an energy source not like the isle elder who’s very implied title (ferrymen) is to ferry souls to Eden’s beacon back to Megabird.

Their comment makes me realized something... the fallen in eye of eden, could those be our body? We always thought our body shattered when we died in eden... but what if its not the case?

What if the fallen actually our previous bodies? The birth cycle is infinite, and it is not impossible that when we first start the game we are actually being reborn from previous life as well.

Another question remained : why do we need to give the wls to the fallen? Well, i have speculation for that : whenever we died we leave a piece of ourselfin those stone corpses. Fragments. When we give our wls to them its like calling them to go back to you, the rightful owner. These lads, of course, will return to you in form of ascended candles.

I believe ascended candles are our knowledge of how to access the rebirth cycle. Its like knowledge that exclusively known only for us, since we are suppose to be the successor of the original Child of Light. When we give ACs to spirit, its like giving them knowledge of how to go back to the stars. ACs are what make our sole purpose to bring back the stars to the Light possible

imo I think we're not the fallen for 2 reasons:

1. our bodies shatter when we die, there's nothing left but a soul
2. the fallen look different from regular skykids, as we see in the ascended candle cutscene their capes are thicker material and don't have slashes in the bottom like ours (their capes are basically colourless versions of the red belonging cape)

And we collect there soils and return them so they can finally ascend. Just like we are reunited with our golden boi after eden and can also ascend.

As you go up the ranks of the different constellations you’ll start to see a deviation from original (live, make fire, go to Eden, die ) life cycle and it becomes more of a mining for dark stones and catching light creatures and even learning unnatural powers like telekinesis etc. so each Elder was in on their civilizations fall
