It looks like a factory, yeah. If you go up the mountain behind where you fall in Wasteland, you can see it a bit better I think. The mountains come together in a v that makes walking up surprisingly easy.

As aggressive as krills are I don’t think they’re strong enough to cause that much damaged, so maybe the Elder was fighting something much much bigger, they ran out of ammo and had to face the krills hand to hand, eventually either retreating or dying fighting

the ancestors are unable to let go of their present life and thus are unable to begin a new life.

Skykids give these individuals recognition and solace that their emotional investments are valid and appreciated and thus allay the ancestors’ anxieties and allow them to move on. In that way we’re psychopomps of sorts, leading them to an afterlife.

Guys what if the piano guy and the bell guy from gratitude is from the village?

The yeti is actually an outcast, this is also strengthened by the postman's memory. Seems like postman and the skater actually try to sneak the yeti out of the village without anyone seeing

And this is might be the reason why the postman hide their face when the yeti wave to them. They didnt want to get recognized (since the yeti is an outcast of the village) but they also curious of the yeti and seems starting to take interest on the yeti pWow pWow

Also notice this : 2 spirits wearing bird masks teach us two dance moves (twirl and cha cha), one spirit wearing bunny mask teach us to... peek? AKDJSKDJ and the last is the hermit who teach us bear hug-

They are called as 4 retired mentors, but only two who actually teach the skater how to skate...

This is when i assume that these spirits are not only teach the skate but also inspire them... in soem way of course

SPOILERS FOR DREAM SPIRITS MEMORIES!!

||1st spirit, the twirling mentor. They wear bird mask so i assuming they are a retired famous skater who become the young skater teacher. My theory suggest that the retired skater is one of the village inhabitant too. I think the village is suppose to be lower-class category which deemed impossible to perform in the coliseum, and the fact that the retired famous skater is from the same village and same class is what might inspired the young skater to try to become famous too!

2nd spirit, the hermit. This spirit might be the important figure for the skater, since they save the young skater life! Without the hermit the young skater won’t achieve their dream to be a famous skater (since falling from that height, while it wont kill instantly it will cause heavy injuries especially for legs). The hermit seems to be an outcast, since their memory revealed them hiding from another spirits sight||

||3rd spirit, the peeking postman. They seems to be one of the skater’s most trusted person or best friend. Their memory seems to imply that they are helping the hermit to get out from the village without anyone see? If thats the case, then it is actually confirmed that the hermit is an outcast to the village.
Why the hermit went to the village? Im assuming they are visiting the skater, since the skater is the only friend of the hermit. When they succesfully escort the hermit out the village, we can see the hermit waving to them. The postman quickly hide their face, suggesting ‘No you didnt know me’ implying further that the hermit is an outcast and seeing them together will cause a nasty rumors. However, postman is not entirely hiding their face and actually peeking, suggesting that they also become fond of the hermit.

4th spirit, the dance guy. This spirit also wear bird mask, showing that they are a skater too like the twirling mentor. Seems like they are cheering the skater in their memory, who looks like crying (from exhaustion? Who knows). They play music with their pipa to cheer the young skater, and then show them some dance moves (imo this dance is also quite silly, likely to cheer the young skater more)||

I will rewritten this theory of mine about the postman and the hermit

2nd spirit, the bearhug hermit. Assumed to be a famous skater who decided to isolate themself to the mountain to avoid unneeded attention because of their fame. One of the most important figure on the skater's life, without the hermit's help the young skater won't achieve their dream to be a famous skater because of injuries gained from falling from the cliff

3rd spirit, the peeking postman. Seems to be one of the skater's most trusted friend, since they allowed the skater to join them on the postman's quest to following the hermit. Their memory imply that they not only adore the hermit as a fan, but also develop a crush on them (can be seen by their gesture of sneakily following the hermit, literally cought off guard when the hermit noticed them, and shyly cover their face with the cape when the hermit wave to them).

I had a deep dive about then a while ago

most of the research was done with sanctuary crabs

#

so as it seems with research using the friendly crabs and other crabs of sanctuary, having direct access to sunlight keeps them calm and fresh water will have them keep they're color

so remember kids
make sure your crabs get plenty of water and sunlight to keep your crabs good and colorful!

so I would like to talk about why they attack us

I think that since they're eyes have gotten so used to the dark that skykids and them holding light makes their dark adjusted eyes hurt and the solution they came up with is to hit the light out of us

but devs had said that all the movements of the crabs are meant to mimic ...something
most popular think krill is what the crabs are mimicking, as shown with the movement being in circles and the flashing red with loudish sounds

I've been developing this idea for around s month, so it's unique to me but I wanted to share to see if anyone else has talked about this

Eden shows rlly good example of skykids breaking from their shell/being cracked.

Then reuniting with the shell and the core (symbolic maybe?) Skykids can't exist without the core, but the light can't be collected without the shell

Well from what i have skykids are made from the stars of the upper world, made by the King. That is their core. They're given bodies so they act as his children, and are given their shells (made up of earth materials, as said, clay).

I think their blood is moreso an essence as they don't have veins or organs, and are basically just like,,, jelly. So it's a thicker version of Light, you could stick your hand in it and it would have presence, but not tension

Another random idea that goes with skykids biology: krills are just corrupted cores ~~basic idea, but still~~, in order to return them to normal, their bodies must absorb so many lights. That's why they always attack kids, they don't have a voice, so they resorted to violence
