My theory is that (assuming they were the shipyard of the kingdom) they completely harvested every resource possible out of Isle, and supplanted Isle Elder’s original function of returning lights/souls back to the big light. He was pushed out by progress (in my head).

I believe Isle supplied the boats, raw stone, etc. Concept Art puts Isle Elder as a shepherd of sorts, doing kind of what we do, and inculcating new ... ancestors? Skykids? with history and lore (I think?). But eventually he kind of had nothing to do.

I think a while back there was some sort of war among the elders

Specifically against the one in Eden

It explains the Krill and the crabs in the Wasteland

I'm not sure but the eden mural almost depicts like that elder corrupted??? upset??? I'm still unsure

But I think something happened to the said elder that caused the creation of the Krill and darkness in sky

The Wasteland was not a wasteland before but was the last stand against it and in a way it worked since it never made it past but it also explains the citadel being a training ground for soldiers

There's some holes or things I can't explain like who the elder of eden was or how they gained control over the darkness but it's not hard to assume the reason ||we can't win is because you can't stop darkness because it's something already rooted with the existence of light||

It's why you don't see anyone around anymore

And you're letting these spirits rest peacefully after a conflict that happened suddenly

The only light-resource we see being discovered/mined from the earth is also a sphere.

The “cores” of spirits are also spheres (that give juicy pops when we set them on fire).

Spells are shown as spheres. So. We have options. But I assume it’s either a fragment of the holy fire, which all Skykids have, along with most sky life forms, or it’s figurative of his hunger (ambition) to harness/harvest the holy fire for himself or his kingdom.

the "catch the light" quests were added in lightseekers (not the LightBlue LightRed LightPurple LightCyan LightOrange LightGreen quests), however the QG didnt send you to find these like the enchantment qg did. similar to gratitude, the spirits were spread across the realms
my interpretation of lightseekers is that they were all scholars to some extent, contributing themselves to studying light and eventually handing off their findings to the enchantment (perhaps higher level) scholars
