• actual thing people used to do: drink some alcohol, it makes your blood thinner thus making circulation easier
• warming your centre mass (chest & stomach area) is the most crucial step. a warm centre mass means warmer extremities (arms, fingers, feet, etc)
• move around ! this is why humans shiver, the more we move the warmer we get ! games on ice can double as survival strategies
• mittens are way more effective than finger gloves ! when bits of your body are bundled together, they create more heat together than they would when split apart. this is also why capes are so useful for keeping warm, theyre like a greenhouse for your body
• this should be a given, but wear thick fabrics ! especially animal furs, like fleece and such

I think there’s a light deficiency in the world, and that’s probably caused by King during the war. The light creatures do what happened to insects in our world did from previous Periods when oxygen levels dropped, and shrank in size. See: the king jellies on the way to orbit, the coelacanth eking out in area of higher light concentration, etc.

There may be some. We’ve only seen a small amount of actual land, and of that, only crabs for terrestrial creatures that live on that land. Another part of the world could have higher light concentrations, enough to have massive light creatures. Vault even caused the mantas to retain their bigness, and mutate through the ages.

Is it possible the holes are caused by falling debris from above? GW is well below its social area. There may be floating isles above that are slowly decaying. Problem with that theory is that we don’t really see many bits of debris. Or do we?

Very possible! We just don’t know what exactly the city looked like before it’s fall. We -do- know that Valley is above it, and it’s buildings more or less abutted GW, so it’s possible that buildings fell and continue to fall into GW below.
