Prairie is their agricultural sector and Isle is the transport sector- and likely Isle wasn't fit to build factories on

Valley too- the altitude and the snowy slopes would have caused problems for production

And now idk about Forest on this one but Wasteland being mostly flatlands and presumably forest would have been perfect for a diamond production site- and so close to Eden where the King could oversee it

The smith comes across as a craftsperson. This means a lot more awareness of the task at hand and possibly some custom tools she would never give to a factory worker because they would not be able to use it in the same capacity

#

it's not selfishness, it's just that sometimes you have a specific use case that you build a tool for but that tool isn't user friendly and only works for you because you are intimately familiar with what you need it for.

Krills are dead children in Eden that didnt get into their limbo form after their death and slowly transform into voidragons (thats how i call them) and soon begin to wonder places like Golden Wasteland searching for winged light to finally go back to their physical state and regain their concusness, those "winged lights" are us, by their vision. They think we are their winged light. But instead of collecting winged light they instead harm us and we lose our winged light, i can prove this by (maybe) one of the devs (maybe they did say it im not sure who) mentioned that they are just lost beings. Remember it's just a theory.

the one thing that proves this theory wrong (i hope not lol) is that the krills dont collect the visible winged light; like the one in Wasteland's ruins where the krills can clearly see the winged light close to them but not collect them, either their vision cannot detect it or my theory is just wrong SkyShrug

In my own opinion based on stuff I've seen

Golden wasteland was an industrial area. The war caused some destructions and eden storm basically gave that place a finale (someone before gave a theory that the rocks from eden explosion fell from above, which explains the holes in the clouds and i noticed that the SkyScared spirit memory she is running while tucking her head which makes me believe that theory)

I randomly touched the manta the other day (before its doom) and recharged a little my light
So I think it is a proof that Krills' honks are not compatible with our light creature side

I have a smol theory for darkstone. I think maybe the light miners in forest get light then they also get ||the red rocks from eden|| the forest elder then combines them using their anvil.

This is what i think happened but its only a theory. I think there was a group of 4 miners mining for light the first 2 died after the whale crashed into a building nearby causing a cave in (the whale bones where you get the call). 2 spirits died in the cave in and the Tearful light miner and their last friend made 2 graves for them (the little rock stumps in the cave. The tearful light miners last friend then died and the light miner made a grave for them. Then the light miner died and didnt get a grave.

I (think) I'm late but basically imo the miners were trapped in the cave because those dark plants trapped them in. They didn't have candles or light so they were stuck there. One by one, the tearful miner's friends started dying, until he was the only one left to die last.

theory: this skykid is the child of light, prince, king, and eden child
This scene practically mirrors the Water Trial mural. We see an 8-pointed star falls to Isle, and next we see a skykid on a boat being sent to the Prophecy Caves. Factoring this in with the depiction of the Child of Light in the intro mural being the same as the child in the Prophecy murals, I believe it is safe to assume that these three children are depictions of the same person. Next, we see the Child of Light completing the Trials and being crowned—either King or Prince, I’m unsure. But one thing is for certain, this child is the Eden Elder. Now, why do I think that ? Well, looking back to the opening murals, we see that the Child of Light falls and becomes the Eden Elder, and in Prophecy we get a more detailed look at how that actually happened. And considering the Eden Elder is likely the King, we can assume that this child is the King. My reasoning for them being the Eden Child is rather simple. Both are opaque white with no features aside from their clothing. By extension, this gets into the Child of Light = Prince = King = Us theory, but for now I’ll leave it at that.

second theory: Light beings are hollow
This...is certainly more of a stretch. And frankly I see it as more of a headcanon, but I want to share nonetheless.
Now, what do I mean by « hollow » ? Well, maybe this is the Hollow Knight brainrot getting to me, but I believe that beings of light (light creatures, elders, and the child of light specifically) are meant more as vessels for Megabird. They’re basically Her preachers, or Her disciples, or Her acolytes, except they are not given the choice to follow Her, they are made to follow Her and carry out Her wishes. And this theory started when I noticed something. Something very interesting about the Fire Trial mural.

Pay close attention to the Elders (and don’t mind my skykid’s leg). Before the Crowning, they have lines through their bodies like Ancestors do. Now, it would be reasonable to assume that Elders were once Ancestors. But, we know that to not be true. They are Stars, the stars that fell in the intro while Ancestors already existed in Horizon (fanon name for the world of Sky).
My theory is that when the Elders fell, they became disconnected from Megabird, and were no longer hollow. Megabird couldn’t control them in this state, so She sent the Child of Light to make the Elders hollow once more, which is exactly what the CoL succeeded in doing (until the CoL themselves corrupted, but that’s a theory for another day).
Why do I bring this up now ? Well, look at the CoL in the new cutscene. Entirely plain, no thoughts, confused. In a way, hollow.

my thoughts (fair warning, they went from « semi-plausible » to « headcanon » real quick):
sky puts a lot of stress on how kids are innocent and pure in a way. we are the light in the darkness. thus, i think that’s what the CoL was (when i say CoL i am also referring to the prince/king/eden child/whatever). i think they were meant to be a child, a child who’s age was tied to the aging of the kingdom as a whole.
now what the HECK does that mean
well, basically, as long as the Col is a child, and remains young, the kingdom will not fall, and the kingdom will remain young, pure, and connected as well
but, if the Col grows up, the kingdom will too, and will eventually reach its old age and die with the Col. as the col ages, they’ll become disconnected from the light, which is the snowball that leads to the end of the kingdom
this can also explain why skykids dont age at ALL. megabird realized it was kind of a bad idea to place the existence of a kingdom on a random newborn who fumbled their way through the trials well enough to be called king, so she made skykids perma-kids so they could be infinitely pure and never corrupt
