the murals in the crab cave in FA depict the story of the relationship between crabs and the ancient people, who took the water crabs lived in and placed it in jars (same jars as the butterfly jars).
now, I never really thought much about it, BUT when I went into vault's archive, I noticed two jars.

what if the water they took was moved to vault? ~~don't ask me why~~
crabs got obviously angry and tried to get it back, hence they made it into vault and broke the jars, flooding it in the process and leaving it with many wholes

Me and @north jacinth thought again about the game's lore and we asked ourselves if there are any theories about the amount of ghosts we see. For example, in valley, it's shown that there has been a lot of people living there, also we hear the crowd, but we don't see them

Then why don't we see the other spirits? Are the ones we see more special?

This event supposedly connected to Eden would of attributed to a catalysmic incident that destroyed the harmony of light, thus darkness leaked through the world. I believe all of the darkstone contraptions(espeically bells and prayer wheels) we see from isle to forest were used to some degree to repell darkness and cleanse the land from its grasp.. by reinstating harmony. As we progress backwards from wasteland to isle, you see a decrease in darkness plants, though it is interesting how no crab can be seen near such areas. Possibly the darkness present in them is repells against its harmony. The spirits we meet would be the survivors of the eden incident and were attempting to recover the land. Gradually the world rests in harmony. Harmony, thiat is the weakness of darkness, resembled by chaos. The problem arises because we possess a will, nature ultimately will restore the kingdom of sky albeit in ruins to an equalilibrium state, but we, our will feeds into the darkness, all of the creatures of light journey through the orbit by instinct, but we, we were tasked with the mission to return the fallen. No matter how strong, a will always corrupt, it can be tainted, manipulated and made to fuel the chaos, the prince in the eden diamond was once lured by the same promises for his desolte kingdom, doomed for eternity to sustain the tempest of darkness engulfing his own world, with no voice to speak, with no way out, he forges you, an incarnate with the hope to drain all of his energy and deplete the storm of darkness, but a fatal mistake, for you too had a will, a will casted by darkness itself.

the meta-narrative here is that the prince/king can not be saved because he controls the storms, and is doomed to suffer for eternity sustaining its wrath, unless

hence the only way to save sky is to leave it, let nature restore harmony to these scarred lands
