When you unlock wing buffs from other spirits, they turn golden yellow. Seasonal Spirits are more warm orange.
It could just be like that to seperate them from normal spirits. Besides, we don't really use wingbuffs on Seasonal Spirits, and don't need to ascend them or something

There is, of course, the already-set parallel between the Sky children and the elders. The Elders destroyed a world, the children are restoring it.
But that's not where it stops.
The Elders see this as a second chance. The Skychildren see it as their only.
The stars get to go home after their mistakes. And if not, they still have a new generation to mold.
For the Skychildren, we don't have that choice. Our choice is eternal. To go through Orbit and be reborn, no matter how many people we save, because Orbit is not home to us like it is to them.
The Sky Kingdom is our home. It is our first and last chance to make something better, even if people leave us behind to pick up the pieces.
We are not to be used by the rest. We have to do this on our own.
And if we mess up, just like they did...
Well. Maybe there won't be a second chance.

they've all probably done good things, terrible things and they all have various reasons for whatever they did and it all may or may not even be their fault. i guess moral ambiguity like sky lore is done so you have more freedom to form your impressions on the figures so i try not to classify everyone by good/evil i say as i take the opportunity to make fun of the king, his mech suit and ego whenever i can

so, like, what is rebirth actually? imo rebirth is when our soul goes to another physical body but as the result we didnt have any memories of our past life. a clean sheet, clueless about anything regarding life, thus practically need to start life from zero
sky rebirth is... quite different? yes we did lost our physical body in eden, but after we got reborn our body didnt... change? 'change' here is like reborn as 'moth' again. we still maintain our previous achievement (hair, accessories, friends). its even hinted that our physical body regenerated in home, waiting for the soul to come back from orbit
imo sky rebirth is much more like part of growing. yes we died, but we didnt forgot our past memory nor losing our experience in our past 'life'. we lose our wings, yes, but with our memories intact we can search and get them again. we are not rebirthed, we are growing to be more experienced
we are gaining more experience by "rebirth", thus making us to be more prepared for life and journey in the world of sky

The 5 stars are the elders on the Eden door while our CoL is the bottom dot.
We, as the original Sky people, are guide to the others by a long staff which may refers to the Isle Elder and leading us to a more awareness state of our being (the middle dot with the circle around)

The sky people met their demise, presumably noted from the intro of the game "if only they had listened..."
My guess is that they messed with something ancient or sacred that unleashed the unruly and consuming darkness, like essence stuff and creatures, like what we see in Golden Wasteland
The sky ppl were an advanced civilization, but as great as their prowess was, the nature of their supposed curiosity reflects that to us humans irl since we have a tendency similar to this
And either it was the King's ignorance or sheer curiosity and desire about whatever that said thing was that was not supposed to be intervened
I haven't really thought much about the children of light (us players) other than being angels sent to free the spirits of the sky ppl from limbo and fix what they had wrought to the world

The 5 stars are the elders on the Eden door while our CoL is the bottom dot.
We, as the original Sky people, are guide to the others by a long staff which may refers to the Isle Elder and leading us to a more awareness state of our being (the middle dot with the circle around)
