@lethal stump nope, I disagree politely, We had a "natural" phenomenon, what happens in sky, and searched to ascribe it a cause, we found an existing figure, a being, a nebula, a whatever that was named Megabird. We said Megan did it, she is confirmed to exist, but so do dungbeetles. doesn't mean the morning incarnation of Ra is though. Cats are real, does it mean Bast is? The sun is real, does it mean Ra, Helios, Appollo and Freyr are? I don't say Megan can't or isn't responsible for the "natural" events of sky, but i find it a bit tiring to argue with the Megan did it, for it could be more interesting to actually look closer. This is my opinion, I seek to explain it and not to give an "answer".

but also like, the gods, much like most pantheons, had certain things connected to them
for example, some of the stuff i’ve though of in my headcanon are: teth is a goddess of creativity and ambition, alef is a god of leadership and is also a trickster, tsadi is a god of war and heart, etc.,
so if you needed help with any of these things you just prayed to that elder and hoped they smiled favourably upon you
but this majorly changed when the elders literally fell out of the sky

i like making up religions so like i went absolutely wild with this

Bigger stars can live alot less than smaller stars, because they burn brighter and faster

so when we flap we maybe burn a portion of the cape, faster so there is that blue flash.
(also IMHO it could be a nice theory why plants, who devour creature light, consume it faster, thus their blue tones, than what do creature of light normally do, by glowing/shining their light slowly)

Water can technically burn. The main thing that really keeps fire from burning underwater is lack of fuel and oxygen, so I guess that Skykids are an infinite supply of everything required for combustion

My theory is that power diamonds are made of two parts a core made of light and an outer layer made of darkstone, forest mines and manufactured the inner core and ships it off to gw, where darkstone is mined and pressed onto the core which makes a power diamond
