Crab are basically active homing, krills are passive homing, crabs follow essentially simple pursuit, so just a tail chase hence easy to escape. Krills show great intelligence in that they predict your movement

Ok, so the theory begins with the hypothesis that the vault is in fact a mechanical computer similar to those used on the saturn VI rocket, on the first floor we see the memory modules or ROM (jars) as well as the archive area, with a cube wall, I think this would be the motherboard, as through the hole we see a lantern, resembling connections of a serial bus to various various components, the crabs are then originally placed inside of the motherboard to facilitate some function or provide power. The first floor is the startup sequence, we "boot" the vault by reading its ROM(the memory jars) which gets us to the bootloader and kernel, then we have to load all the modules and connections to the motherboard (the lanterns that we light corresponding to a region in the walls that light up, establishing/activating the connection), then finally we launch into the simulation/projection.

So I have been thinking about this theory. When I think about it mote.. the more irrelevant it become..

But here we go
I think that the colour theme on each realms is like how thermal imaging works.
For example
Green is 28-29degrees Celsius
Which is prairie
Dark forest is blue
Between 23-24 degrees Celsius
Isle of dawn is like
24-26 degrees Celsius
And eden is 37-39 degrees Celsius.
However.. what make this illogical is valley.
Valley is cold
But it is red/yellow
Which mean it is the hot
37-39 degrees Celsius.
Keep in mind that white is the hottest

elders ruled the kingdom of sky together and built themselves and their people a beautiful society. as all civilisations do, they industrialised and grew ... which lead to the discovery of the power diamond: the red shaking crystal in the stormlock. they used this to power their civilisation and spread its power across the land, hence the pipes in eden and the wasteland. but like many civilisations, they overused and abused their available power source, and with it came a catastrophe — civil wars broke out over who could use the energy of the crystal, dark creatures were involved, and the warring factions eventually wiped themselves and each other out, leaving what they’ve built, and the sky kids, remaining in their wake.
