No, the white is white because of the memory of the spirit. This is the actual physical gravestones. They look like normal stone and not diamond

So, I’ve made some adjustments to this theory since the last time I sent it. It gets into some concepts that most lore moffs might not know about, so be free to ask about them.
Time is non-linear in sky, to the point different areas and different things have their own time cycle. These are the time loops i’ve observed, feel free to bring up more.
The realms themselves are frozen in one period of time (dawn, day, rain, sunset, dusk, night, and midnight respectively)
Home has its own time loop of 24 hrs
Eden loops weekly
Wax is on a 24 hr loop
Elder rooms are outside space time, i believe time for them works similarly to home
Now most people see this as game mechs, but I see it as lore.
Sky is meant to repeat, it is meant to be non-linear
Tying into the « we’re the king » theory(1), I believe that this world we live in is meant to be a prison of sorts. As the king, we’re supposed to repent. But, the king can’t be saved(2), so he—us—has to do the realms and rebirth over and over and over again, which is why we’re in a funky time loop.
As to what put us in the time loop, I think it was Megabird(3), since they have the means and the motivation to do so, that being: the king did bad things, and i have the power to make him make up for those bad things in a more powerless form

(1) in summary, the skykid is the reincarnated king, who led to the downfall of the sky kingdom
(2) king = eden elder, devs said eden elder isn’t around to be saved anymore
(3) Megabird is a godlike creature in the sky universe

Samsara is escaped by achieving salvation. ( In simple language, you have to become an all good person and all your dark side or things like that should become non-existent)
The king was very egoistic and ofc didn't have what it takes to escape samsara.

We helped the elders to attain salvation but the king is too self-centred and bad to be sent to the stars. So, yeah, it's a never ending punishment. Like how Sisyphus rolled the boulder up the never ending hill.
Not only skykids, we see that even the light creatures and the spirits go to the orbit.

@tender dune i think you and your friend have to get to area 2 of the storm and die beyond that so you can ascend together. My sis and i do that, and the only time we got separated was when there were a lot of us dying together in Eden T__T. Area 2 is past the first 33 stony kids, where the stones rain endlessly...

oo another leitmotif discovery: painting/lighting the way seem to share one? can't believe i only noticed now when they have similar progressions and are both in eb major (i think) lighting the way seems to be like an extension of painting though
i don't have a set theory for this one but i guess it does sound pretty painful? like angst, sadness, a sense of what was once glorious now in ruins

I theorize that maybe sky kingdom is just small part of kings territory... Well I figured it out that there is only two legit factory only. The flying race has two sets of flag colors.
The ground race has only one set of colors that I’ve found.
The statues above the race hall of the entrance to the race wear one type of mask.
The spiky hair’d twin wears that same mask, but it doesn’t seem that the mountain hair’d one is wearing that mask.
The games were to (in tomcept) honor the prince’s victory in battle... and to crown him king.
It seems like the spikey hair’d Elder represented the king. And the mountain haired elder represented the enemy.
