Where do the spirits travel to? Why can’t we follow them? 🤔
What lies beyond the Sky world?
what’s the lore about the spirit in forest?? you know the one where there’s 4 of them and each time you relive a memory there’s one less. in the end there’s 3 tombstones & one spirit who looks really sad .... you have to burn plants to get in the cave so were they trapped in there? I was shocked it seems so dark
@glacial linden livestream 1 talks about the spirits being reunited with the stars, but can be called down to interact with them. constellations are brought back to life by sending spirits to the stars. we have a general idea where they are in the post-eden fly through and i’m guessing it all has to do with the megabird.
I actually have pictures of what you’re talking about Juno. Seems they quite literally passed in the cave. Really grim!
I was referring to the traveling spirits specifically, sorry for not making that clear.
@hushed steeple I appreciate your answer! From that, one can infer/theorize that seasonal constellations aren’t available all the time due to something like the Earth’s rotation; so maybe when the seasonal spirits aren’t around it’s because you can’t “see” the constellation in the sky at that time...
What kind of star moves around on its own, independent of its constellation, though?
I know the answer is just “game mechanics” but I’m hoping the seasonal content is compatible with the lore
From the season of rhythms ending, they fly off on a boat. Maybe they just go back to their side of the world? There must be more than we can access out there..
Considering the valley is the main hub or the main city, there should be many buildings of people.
@ocean ivy that’s what I mean!!! they died trying to get out I think.
which is so dark
i was with a friend who was leading a moth and actually paid attention to it properly and i was like bro..
What’s funny is the final tier for crying is angry banging on the ground crying. Nothing like the first and second one.
@glacial linden ah ok. yes, that’s more difficult to answer and I can’t recall TGC mentioning the origins of the seasonal spirits. as @ocean ivy mentioned, they’re probably somewhere in the world and we haven’t returned them to the stars yet I guess; though they have the same mechanics of spirits we have saved.
we see they’re linked to a seasonal constellation, but I’m not sure if an elder oversees it or how exactly TGC will explain the lore behind them since they behave differently than normal spirits
@ocean ivy oh my god i only just realised
don’t wanna go to deep into it but it seems really childish, like its a thing only kids do isn’t it
very tantrum like
omg I need to understand this now
wait
maybe
the spirit after grieving just got really angry at the world and felt it was unfair that their loved ones all died and they survived? idk
also regarding the seasonal spirits, I was looking through my notes and livestream 5 says each season adds more details to the world.
seasonal spirits come from a different time in the world of sky and explain what was happening to them during that particular timeline. poses and activities hint at the backstory of the land and spirits.
ooo
also, this doesn’t really matter much but were the season of belonging spirits actually just a family of skykids? they all have capes but you can only get the capes from half of them
Oooo
Maybe the isle? If the world is a sphere as it would most likely be, possible the isle is on the bottom and we gradually go around the world
Considering we go straight on, them down, then forward, then up, then straight on.
@hushed steeple @ocean ivy . Tbh if you think of the cry spirit as dark, I think the shock spirit (starting at the beginning of forests final rainy section before the pipes) is quite dark. They have a bow and arrow and are clearly hunting something we do not see. When they finally get to their end they emote a gasp, that they have killed or injured something they did not intend, or (as its the coming of age level) learned a hard lesson of deaths cause and effect, and them realising they were the cause.
Traumatic feels in the darkest section of the forest, but I suppose that makes sense.
If we go off of life themes, I believe the forest was the teenage years. Tough times happen in those years.. and learning things the harsh way.
the one I always mistake for this (the other hands on head I do not see as an emoji on this server)
And it seems it finally hit where all the civilization is in the valley. It’s all around the race track!
With valley being between forest and wasteland, you'd think that sky kids have a form of manic depression
@cobalt palm Goes in line with the tree spirit, getting yelled at by someone cause he made it fall the wrong way or something
The floating book is funnier than it should be
They threw the book at him

“YOU CUT THE WRONG TREEEE 😤”
“IM SORRRYYY
”
Revelation from talking on general,
What if... you're actually reliving the memory yourself as that spirit.
It's not even mimicking in that theory
They are truly feeling it as they actually "relive the memory" as that spirit you feel what they feel so to you
you lost your 3 friends and
you feel the cold pain of dying as you relive these memories?
I think we already kind of do empathetically. everything TGC does is purposeful and we know how much weight they place on evoking emotional atmospheres
In wasteland we never get to relive
but I want to see it because I didn’t pay attention the first time-
Like for the quests
This is why for a short time in the beta we got to relive all the spirits, but it got confusing, I still liked that feature
cries
I hope they give us a way to relive spirits 😕 asked for it in suggestions to have a journal or something with lore and to rewatch cutscenes
hey skipping back to the pipes discussion yesterday, what about the “hollow log” tubes in Forest? going thru them today, was suddenly reminded of the wooden water mains Aaron Burr installed in NYC— some of them were just dug up again in 2006
So, is the cape worn, or is it part of the sky kid? I ask because I'm making a cape, and I'm trying to work out whether there has ever been a "clasp" of some sort across the front to hold the cape in place. If not, then how does it stay in place; is it part of the sky kid then?
Like, I'd love to get my cape to be worn in the same way however I see a number of problems with the physical makeup of the cape. getting it to stay in position without placing something around the neck/shoulders is going to be hard, and looking at the way the sky kid moves with the cape leaves me wondering if the cape is perhaps a bit like the cape of dr strange; in that it is alive in some way, and responds to the sky kids thoughts and movements. like when we "flap", the cap flaps first, then the arms below it. they are not connected.
At first I thought no, it's clothing, as you start with no cape... but then yes as the way to put on the cape is to absorb light and it more grows than being worn, like the scarf of journey.

I’d say it’s an article of clothing that aids the child in flying. Without a cape, you can still fly in clouds, yet you can’t accelerate nor steer.
Really? You can fly without a cape?! I’ve never tried that.
Some things I’ve noticed in wasteland.
- The vault is protected by 2 walls, and only in those walls, house the krill
- The broken down pillars look like bridges of some sort, like in the third picture, where one in the background is there but a little broken down
- The vault isn’t even that tall, it doesn’t go above the clouds - how do you travel to eden!?!!
Interesting points, but that structure in the distance rising to the clouds isn’t the vault, it’s a statue of the king. But then that raises even more questions about the vaults location.
No, cause the star is on top of the vault
And in the last bit, you see it there again
Idk tho
Lemme look at the final bit
it looks more like a statue of the king than vault
I’m more inclined to believe it’s another statue of the king, as those seem to litter the surrounding area. Plus, at the gateway to Eden you can make your way to the top of the vault exit and it doesn’t have the same likeness, from what I remember.
Wow
Either way, the vault doesn’t appear to visibly exit the cloud layer in wasteland, which is curious.
I think the massive wall we can see behind the temple is the vault
The wall is kinda rough but it cannot be seen unless you climb the temple (which I regard as going OOB), so idea is that the vault does stand behind the wasteland temple but cannot be seen clearly from the wasteland because of fog and cloud
I think those are just little stars that form when the mantas rise. That’s why it’s called cosmic manta
I wonder what was that thing in the dark background, like another sunken ship or a sunken tower or building 👀
looks like a temple or building that sunk
Hmm
That’s where a meditation shire is. No one even meditated there haha
Someone has a post about this on Reddit
@ocean ivy you can climb up those Valley buildings, there's a beautiful view
I’ve tried to climb a round the valley.. it has some of the most gorgeous sights!
just noticed that the height of each portal matches the thematic progression of the levels, with valley portal being the highest (above sea level) and eden portal being the lowest.
no deep lore implications but it’s kinda neat i think
i mean like the bottom of each portal
sorry i guess i worded it a bit confusingly
Np
^^^for the "flying" while capless, you cannot fly without a cape, but u can however, levitate/float with the help of coulds, winds, mantas, jellyfish or mushrooms (+ get friends to drag you
)
Anyone think about how fitting the name for the sky beta was? "Sky Light Awaits" was like your "waiting" for the game to come out, and once its out you "reach the light" I guess, and you are a "child of light" hence the name "Sky Children of the Light" Hmmmm...
Not sure if y'all will get what i mean from my typing. ._.
i get what you mean! that’s cool
i wonder if it was intentional
@humble barn Yeah, the thing with the wall behind wasteland... I noticed that too
@exotic shuttle shouldn’t the Vault portal be higher than Wasteland though?
i suppose it depends on interpretation
vault of knowledge is physically tall, but it represents night (thematically), whereas wasteland represents dusk.
Hey, does anyone want to tell me the lore? ;v;
there's no one interpretation! scroll up to find many treasures of both reflection and speculation on the game
But there is so much, I just want to have the basic to start actually reading ;v;
Thing is, there’s a lot of interpretations of the lore, we can’t exactly point you to one haha
Heh :’)
check out the pins @manic light
That is a very good idea, thanks 😉
Is the home statue meant to represent the vault elder? The pose kinda reminds me of the cutscene where she’s holding the diamond. Maybe the seasonal candles that appear every day are meant to be gifts from her?
Possibly. Seems they would be a very high ranking one to have statues everywhere.
That statue actually looks a lot like the vault elder in one of the concept arts
Yeah I was wondering about that! There was a theory of a romantic relationship between Eden and vault elder, and there are tons of those statues in Eden, that protect the Sky child’s light. The statue seems to symbolize like safety or something
Beta art and other means portray the kingdom of sky as a monarchy of sorts, and if Eden was king then vault might be queen
Woah woah woah woah stORY IDEAS AAAA-
If anyone wants to hear a bunch of broken story pieces of what might have happened with eden and vault lmk but for now I’m not gonna post a bunch of half thought out ideas lmao
But I’ve always felt like Vault was really a dream. You come to the broken platform, fix the diamond and climb up the vault. It’s oddly peaceful, considering the last and next levels. Then as you meditate at the summit (I’ve always thought of the elders as coming to you in dreams/hallucinations, they’re not really there) and the vault elder seems to “say” something like “you’re ready now” or whatever and you wake up in what the remains of vault really look like: crumbled, dark and gray, with a broken power diamond in the middle, the same one that powered the platform that takes you through vault, in the same spot, as if you never really fixed it in the first place.
Someone said it in the livestream that maybe it was all a dream or memory
I haven’t seen any of the livestreams I don’t have that kind of patience-
The wasteland/vault/Eden continuity is even weirder than that— when you leave the final version of the elevator room, the hallway gets sealed behind you as you enter the Eden antechamber. If you then go straight up to the top of the door on that side, there’s a teeny gap you can walk through to go back toward Vault, except that Vault isn’t there anymore. It’s just jumbled rubble and wisps of cloud.
Did the Eden elder get destroyed? If so, it would be really cool to find his crown in the map or something
Also is there a reason for our friendship constellation to be a crown?
all the weirdness (especially the weirdness of vault) is why i like the idea that the whole game is actually a dream. i like to think that the world of sky is dreaming of itself, or that the power diamond in the centre of eden is dreaming of how it came to be, and how civilisation was destroyed.
that’s just my pet conspiracy theory tho
when you fly through the end of eden, it seems like you revisit all your memories, like how people say your life flashes before your eyes when you die. You see things like the jellyfish from forest, the citadel arches and building from valley, the infamous whale, the butterfly pots, and the vault elder shrine, where all the thrones are together. But then this random structure in the middle of nowhere...
in isle in the temple, we see constellations of the different temple in the walls, prairie, forest, valley, etc. But what we see after vault, or above vault, is a temple looking thing that has the same shape as the structure we see just before orbit. I like to think of that structure as the remains of the home of the elders, what was left before they decided to flee eden. i like to think that with esch realm you go to, you walk slowly towards eden, until you reach vault. being the supposed closest to eden, its in absolute ruins, maybe the vault elder’s magic was too weak to protect it from eden’s storm.
now the heaven aspect, yes orbit IS sky heaven, and when you fly to the giant big ball in the middle, your in space. I like to think you’re going to a star, to regain your life and light. we know this is spcae because in the credits scene, there are planets orbiting the star, hence orbit.
idk where this was going i was bored once again
i think after this whole vault thing and dream vault thing
my favorite elder is now granny vault
whoops sent too early
i think it’s a land corrupted by darkness since even the water hurts you
which means slowly corrupts you
I’ve been studying the inscription on the elder room OOB. And they remind me of DNA sequencing
Plus it shows you how many mantas it takes to fill one pot (2) and how much the whale contributes in energy
k i updated the thing
The lower pots look like they have been wired up in series
lemme bring it down here
oh yeah! WASTELAND THEORYYY
lets get the important names in wasteland
“shipwreck” “battelfield” “graveyard”
I theorize wasteland was just as beautiful as prairie, or as beautiful a desert can be, with many oases. now, why is battlefield important here? its because it tells us that there was a war or battle in wasteland. That war is also shown in the wasteland constellation during the vault elder cutscene. the battlefield was probably where the main part of the war was, because thats where the wasteland elder throne is, and usually enemies will target a kingdoms most powerful point. We can also tell weapons were in use, as there are barbed spikes scattered around, as well as broken flags.
When wasteland was still beautiful, it had whales everywhere, flying high. When war came, they trained those whales to fight for them. They also made creatures, a light version of the krill, the light dragon. Graveyard is probably where they kept all their war animals, as thats where all the bones are. I also think that the shipwreck is a port, where they get and recieve all their supplies in secret, hence the pipe tunnels. but the enemy knew about their port, and used a version of their light dragon, the dark dragon to attack the port. but something went wrong the krill was only meant to attack enemies, now it attacked them
the energy from eden was being released, in giant waves of corruption. Prairie had the force of a thousand mantas, and a million butterflies to keep its light within it. Wasteland, basically the light dragons got corrupt blah blah ate the whale blah blah im bored and nobody will probabky listen to this
those arent pots
those are diamonds
or those torch diamonds from vault
also look under the pots
what is that?
its writing from sky
DNA
It repeats
because vault elder is the supposedly wisest
its probably a chant
wait you see those little men under the vault elder?
how many are there
that you remember
6? or 5?
Six
if we count the one from belonging then...
maybe
those six men
are the spirits from vault
the scribes
because they have the huge masks om their foreheads
like the spirits
They appear also in the other wall depicting forest
the spirits are scribes that helped in the creation of vault
They workers
ok can you show me all six of the constellation images?
aight
these constellations are helping with the lore alot
good thing they didnt close the oob area yet
They kinda confirming
can you dm me the images and ill examine them
Sure
it might be too much on this server at once
Ye might post insta
ok so from what the game has told us
prairie made butterflies
forest made the power diamonds
wasteland was a warrior
and eden elder
is supposedly desd
The isle elder guided birds it seems
Valley elders are the creators of this cultures sport/s
And vault elder .. well .. is the keeper of the vault
isle elder is the ferryman actually
he gets people to ride boats to the rest of the kingdom
vault elder’s in charge of protecting the preserving of light sources it seems at least
forest, well we don’t need to talk about her
Lore wise, the eden elder is removed from the game so technically
There is no eden elder
This isn’t really lore related, but I really love the metaphor of death that this game portrays. Like we can see the Eye of Eden and the castle above it from every world; the same way we consider death and the possibilities of an afterlife throughout our lives
It’s always looming over us, scary but somehow beautiful
soooo vault elder is a librarian?
ok
Isle Elder - Used bird tunnels to guide people onto the island and into safety
Prairie Elder - Made and tamed butterflies, mantas, and other creatures of light
Forest Elder - Blacksmith who created powerdiamonds that helped in... i forgot
Valley Elders - Athletes who created sky’s sports
Wasteland Elder - Warrior who fought and played a major role in the wasteland
Vault Elder - Keeper of the vault and makes sure all the light preserves are safe in the vault
ok but what i find weird
is that
on the eden door, there are only 5 elders
well, 5 elder heads
Prairie, Wasteland, Forest, Vault, and Valley
where’s Isle?
there was some discussion about that far up in the chat
from back in the old days of sky
Quoting my own message cause I don’t want to write it again
The design explanation for that is because the same model of the Eden portal we have now was taken from the aviary. Back then, you awakened in isle and after finishing the level you would go to the aviary and hear the prophecy about getting each elder blessing to face the storm (eden). Each level had a portal for you to visit and after you finished it, their mask would light up on the Eden gate and it would be available once all of them were lit
Isle wasn't really one of them, more like a prologue you would come back to after being reborn (you could still revisit isle, but it didn't have a portal like other levels)
Some people have the theory that isle and eden are related on the process of rebirth, and that's why it wasn't included before and now!
or maybe with all the design changes and being born in home now, and isle being a proper level they just didn't update the door
an entire mood xD
Mirian do u ever get tired of saying that? I’m starting to feel bad that someone asks everyday and ur always there to copy and paste that message
she IS a mod
so
isle is just the grandpa everybody forgot ):
or actually...
maybe he’s the eden elder
because!
he’s the only one in his cutscene to have a broken mask /face
someone mentioned that the eden elder was destroyed
coincidence? i think not
but it is possible isle elder is actually the eden elder
that may also be why he doesnt give a blessing, like Mirian stated
it also seems that
when he grabs the flame or light, his face reconstructs
which i think resembles the rebirth
in orbit, you fly towards this giant ball of light
and get rebirthed
but hey, thats just a theory
a game theory
lmao-
Long live the King!
so if all the elders were just hangin out when we met them, who’s the narrator? megabird? the light well?
Maybe the elders left them for the skykids to feel as sense of family. So that they wouldn’t feel alone in the world [before it populated with a lot of skykids] and it’s just kept around as a reminder?
i wonder how they rotate everyday
Elder magic

No I don’t really feel tired of saying that haha it’s just easier to copy an earlier message! Regardless of being a mod or not I like sharing information that could be relevant to the discussion of lore, since a very small potion of players participated in the early beta days
I think isle might’ve been the start of their civilization so maybe the isle elder is important in that regard welcoming spirits and now sky kids to the sky kingdom
In past versions of the isle cutscene, the isle elder would be the one to give you the cape (their mask would actually break again after that), so even if that’s changed now maybe their blessing is that introduction to the rest of the levels
Mhmm! Maybe the isle elder is connected to the fallen Eden elder as well
If the isle elder is connected to the Eden elder maybe that’s their way of earning redemption after the brutal events of Eden in your new life
👀
Or even isle and the vault elder. I think boon was the one to point out to me that there’s an isle constellation on the vault constellation during the elders cutscene
What does that mean
Lets find out
🔍
interesting
what did i walk into
i said
isle elder is eden elder
coincidence that isle elder gives you your cape
and eden elder removes it
i think the story is specifically centered around you
your character is a prodigy
a prodigy that was able to save the frozen child warriors
eden is the official end
your just replaying your story again and again
so use that info if you like (:
???????there is eden elder wha???????
im very new (i think you call new players moths if thats true i accept the title) but super interested in the lore
Welcome!! While we don’t have much official lore we have lots and lots of theories about it and some interesting resources in the pinned messages in this channel
There’s also a document with all the official lore shared by TGC on livestream and such
The Eden elder is an old concept when the game was being developed, or as the developers said, “The Eden elder isn’t around to be saved anymore”
stumbled upon it already! but didn't get much time to look into it >_<
Is it completely scrapped? Is it still in game? We don’t know!
omgg its kind of sad
"isn't around to be saved anymore" jesus christ devs hit their emo phase
now im intrigued👀
also i've seen a phrase here... cant recall it... something like super mantra?
who is that?
I don’t think I’ve heard of that or can’t recall something similar
hmm i'll try to remember!
Oh is it the mega bird
hmm
But there’s many theories around it!
The only time we actually see it in game is during the credits and at the last bit of Eden (before the credits)
But what does it mean?
Probably everyone here in this channel will have a different theory
wow what i've been to eden three times i've never noticed
just before the credits?
i'll try to be more attentive next time
Yeah it’s up in the sky!
This is the one at the end of the credits
And this is one piece of concept art that seems to represent the megabird!
Those are some concept art for the elders and you can see the Eden one
now i have some references for drawing yay
i just love the designs so much
is the concept art in pinned too?
wow eden elder was tol
the shape in the third concept are looks familiar
is that the eden elder or the mountain?
Seems like the mountain, but who knows it might be mr. Eden himself
maybe the mountain is artificial?
and actually a statue or monument of the eden elder
@crimson grove king/eden elder is in current game. dead or something, but vault represents him. not sure why the friend list is in his constellation.
Because you see all of your friends in orbit around Eden?
Could the king be the voice of the narrator in the starting cutscene, "Wake up, child. Bring our lost stars home", is orbit therefore the skykids real home?
that i’m unsure of. eden seems to be the level tgc doesn’t elaborate on lore wise in livestreams. i’ve managed to decrypt most of the storyline, but figuring out who the narrator is and piecing together Eden has been pretty challenging
They had a lot more lore fleshed out for the concept of Eden, but they changed so much of it in the actual game that definitely makes it hard to figure it out
I believe they were deitys
Forest - deity of rain
Well, many people here have said so
Prairie deity of Light
Or maybe rain aunt is like hephestaus
oh yeah
Prairie like apollo
The twins could be like artemis and apollo?
then what about eden?
Ah yes
the wind. was uncontrollable
Maybe the spirits wanted to rule themselves
Without the elders?
And that affected the environement?
maybe
In greek mythology, the gods werent kind with humans cuz they knew that they would destroy the world
And look at how wl, eden, and forest are
(Tho forest is just acid rain) (BUT STILL)
acid rain was mostly caused by humans impact on the environment
releasing toxic chemicals and all
what about the birds?
Maybe the acid rain is what killed the whale in forest
or the mantas
I think Eden isn't spoken about on livestreams, like in this discord, is because its considered a spoiler. Though must agree in the development of the game and changes, it can't be easy to keep up with what becomes canonical, and if you say it, it becomes almost unchangeable.
As it goes from external history to internal history, only similarity I can compare it to is Tolkien works as shown through the History of Middle Earth books, that clearly he didn't want to publish until he'd fully worked out all the stories and consistency or it would be too easy for one story to contradict another.
I had to read this twice ^^
This is why I kinda like the unreliable narrator stories, such as Martins Song of Ice and Fire, as you see the world warped through the perspective of each character, and only through seeing all sides do you gather a slightly less distorted world view.
So in a way, the devstreamers could do the "well this is what we originally were going for, and these parts are the broad theme"
Thus taking a distorted view from the external history to the internal
agreed. that’s basically how i’m approaching my lore doc, which will make it in here at some point. cannon mixed with concept to infer abstract theories
speaking of gods and names, I didn’t see anything for the prairie elder. I’m thinking possibly hecate or hermes bc of the transmutation aspect. ideas?
isle = charon
forest = hephaestus
valley = apollo & artemis
wasteland = ares
vault = athena or mnemosyne
eden = zeus
I think Prairie would probably be Hermès
Forest might be Athena— she’s smart and skilled and can have a short temper (just ask Arachne)... Prairie makes me think Demeter cuz green fields, but also life springing up from clay
Yeah, what if Forest is Athena and Vault is Hestia or something?
Hecate is the goddess of witchcraft if I remember correctly
Witchcraft refers to magic and not structures and building, side note
Yeah im right. Shes the goddess of witchcraft, the moon, ghosts, and necromancy.
I don’t think hecate would fit for a counterpart for forest, tho in the cutscene when forest elder summoned that hammer was one magic 👀
Oh i meant for prairie
Ohh sorry 😅
Since the original message mentioned hecate being a name for prairie elder
Its ok i shoulda mentioned that haha
Hm that does make sense
Even more mysterious than vault elder, tho they’ve been assuming zeus will fit for eden elder better because of the lightning in eden and rocks shooting which could be small rocks from the diamond
Not sure who would fit vault, maybe gods or goddesses who are all about knowledge
but remember guys, all of TGC’s games pull from different aspects of religion and mythology
so it is quite possible each elder could be based on a greek god mixed with some other god or important person (s) in othere religions or mythologies
so if no goddess or god fits vault maybe
look at other religions
like hinduism
forest elder is based off of 9 tailed fox, cough cough
though a little too late I made English notes of December Japanese Livestream (Japanese Livestream 3)
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wHB96_77FylFtsp1mUoDP6BqfNt-a_LTvfDstE8DvtY/edit?usp=sharing
are the elders possibly based on the seven deadly sins? with other mythologies and religions combined
@humble barn thanks for posting that!
my pleasure!
@drifting copper I think the elders are basically original, but since people creating the characters are modern humans, any unintentional/intentional similarities with real-life mythologies can be possible (or even with fictional ones)
I have been pondering about the ending of Sky, whether it is a happy or a sad one from my Skykid's point of view, as I don't have that overwhelming feeling of satisfaction of accomplishing a game goal. Now that I have been through Eden and Orbit quite a few times and watched the cutscene of waving goodbye to the freed Skykids many times, I think it is not a happy ending for my Skykid as they are trapped in this eternal cycle of death and rebirth. An uplifting ending would be if my Skykid got freed from this cycle and went with the other starkids back to the stars.
our skykids don’t really have emotions or thoughts in general they just do whatever they see
like actual kids lmao
for me at least they’re merely disposal objects that only have one goal which is to save the elders and bring them back to the stars
Yeah, that definitely is how the role of the Skykid comes across, just a machine built to fix the problems of the Elders. For me, as a player, this is rather sad.
true
I wanna share points but i’m not sure where too start bc I’ll just end up rambling rnfhkfvffkd
i’m not sure if the ending is sad but i’m grateful for the journey
It makes me wonder who exactly sent the sky kids on this mission, many of the elders didn’t actually seem to know the sky kids were coming. (Vault Elder seems to know but is very gentle)
When you say they’re disposable, i guess that makes me think that the elders don’t care for them. But i’m always brought back to the constellation cutscene in Vault where they all kneel to the player, which would imply they all do respect the sky kids and wish them luck in the storm ahead of them.
As for the ending, everyone is flying toward the light. You’ve brought every one together, put other sky kids back into the stars, helped the spirits back into the sky and restored the Elder’s light. Is it sad to say that you, the sky kid, out of the goodness in your heart chose to rescue lost spirits from the darkness and put them back into the sky, their home?
but yeah that’s just my take jdhfjfjf
It is sad because my Skykid never achieves full enlightenment, they are trapped in the rebirth cycle. As mentioned, the uplifting completion of the Skykid story would be if my Skykid joined the freed Skykids to the stars. Might be the next chapter of Sky which will begin with this journey to the stars and in that Chapter we will find out who their Creator is. I guess this game as it is, is reflective of our story, humans as well; we will never know why we are/were here until we become that freed Skykid, flying up to the stars.
||space station|| cough cough
||the space station|| has nothing to do with lore lmao
but what if ||space station|| is the giant holographic projector generating all the other realms outside Vault
Why we always gotta assume everything’s a holographic image.
Like, we have stone boats, I really gotta wonder if the elders and sky spirits were that innovative
So, I don't read this channel much, but what's your ideas on the story behind the "giver of ghost manta sound" remains?
Also is it just me or do the bones not usually look like that
Is my memory faulty, or...
it's probably a glitch? idk
Looks like a visual bug to me
holographic projectors
Something I noticed is that a lot of the spirits have that chest plate where we see a “light core” on the sky kids.
Is that place maybe then a weak spot of the people of the kingdom?
oh where is that image from!
that's the old vault-elders-cutscene prairie constellation!
yes 🙂 do you know which version of prerelease that was in @crimson grove it comes from the vault storyline https://imgur.com/a/iGkSRIX I’m trying to gather screenshots of all the old glyphs in vault.
think this came from pins, but if I had a clean youtube video I could take some screen shots.
@ocean ivy can you post a screenshot of their chest?
Aaaa i’ve seen Jem’s album before i just never got through it all
oh that one was during the final cutscene with all the elders, not the vault glyphs tho. i think i might have pictures of both of them somewhere! will have to look soon
it was an old old old version, ill try to dig around what date as well 😄
would be great, thanks!
I looked through it, it had some near concepts of the Eden elder
i theory that all of forest was like sunny forest
because it’s the only happy place left there xD
though maybe the sunny forest was a protected forest? since they use the wood for diamond production and the supply would reduce by a lot
Man someone really tried to (I feel like) passive aggressively ‘correct’ the names I used for the elders
The sunny forest in meditation quests is called a “raised clearing” so maybe altitude had something to do with it
though I agree, areas like the final social area and the sunny forest could definitely be what the forest looked like when it was populated and rain maybe wasn’t as common
i really feel like the rain is sentient
the rain ALWAYS starts at a certain point in the game
and ALWAYS ends in sunny forest or when the last tower is activiated
idk maybe its just me
I’ve read somewhere in this chat that the rain is dependent on the Forest Elder’s mood
I like that

TGC did the fourth Japanese livestream today, a Q&A session with Jenova Chen.
Jenova was using English so you don't need to know Japanese to watch this.
No information directly related to the story of Sky was revealed, but he answered questions like what candles we collect in Sky are, and why candle was chosen as in-game currency, so I am posting the URL of VOD here for anyone who's interested.
the valley spirit bug is pretty frustrating but....
also do you think that’s what the spirit calls sounds like? it kinda reminds me of the manta one but
Ugh idk but yeah it sounds like
its so soft🥺
Makes me wonder if they had voices or just calls like the kids
we should have a spirit voice in sky
so cuute
Also, unrelated to this but related to the “Krill are manmade” theory: what if the krill were designed to spot intruders/unwanted visitors (and most living things in sky are made of light, and they only target beings of light) but in case it is someone that’s allowed to be there they have a sort of “timer” before they attack, but when they do attack they roar loudly, alerting everyone in the area of a possible intruder, and render the victim flightless so they’re unable to escape and can get captured if they’re intruding. They also are usually found guarding buildings.
....there’s no buildings in the graveyard
It’s a war zone tho...
and there’s some ruins of buildings around the sides
You do have a point.. but I’m just confused about the krill part
idk i word everything really badly lmao
So basically what if they were made to target beings of light?
Like the guardians in Journey?
But I want to know how were they created from the start and why did they eat light? Surely there should be a backstory behind those Krills
Maybe they’re just eternally grumpy creatures that like aggressively head butting light
Head butting?
Yeah don’t they attack headfirst?
Darling did you see that one krill that killed a baby manta
I mean yeah a manta’s made of light
i dunno how they were made, some people think they were made of stone or something idk
I like the idea that they were just normal creatures that got corrupted
Maybe like that big boi whale
Pretty mysterious for that creature but we have to wait for more of their appearance and what they do in the future
I like that big whale
They’re chonky
chonk
The graveyard isn’t a warzone....
The warzone was next to the giant castle
the graveyard was where the whales died
Ye
Poor whales 😕
I read somewhere here that they looked like sea turtle skeletons but idk
They could be anything
True
But the fact that one krill came out of the black tar water
I mean don’t they all appear like that
I’m pretty sure they were born inside the black tar
But where did the black tar come from?
I always thought of it like a game mechanic
Like they can’t jus appear outta nowhere, ppl gonna think it’s a glitch
And they don’t jus appear out of black tar
They kinda jus......rise from the ground
Whether it’s sand or from behind a hill
The black tar is the toxic water is it not?
Yes
Probably effects of war or something
I think it’s from the dead whales because when their bodies decayed it got mixed in the water
Like the shipyard has those large pipes and things and leak more water or oil or something
Yea it’s hard to see but with firework staffs u can see the pipes leaking tar like it’s dripping
It’s possible that also the decayed bodies of the whale got mixed in it too
oooou true
So the oil in the pipes and the rotten bodies where the whales died mixed in the water
Think of a dirty water irl can you see living critters inside? That are harmful?
I’m pretty sure that’s how they were created
but isn’t petroleum made of dead dinosaurs and/or plankton anyway
some fuels are made of dinosaurs and/or other animals. some are made from trees/plants.
basically just dead living things squished up into oil
accurate
I have a theory that spirits are still alive. Seasonal spirits only appear for a short time, and maybe their most important moments are there because that marked them, but once they leave, the emote/call/stance also leaves, so to me, it’s kind of like as long as they’re around, that memory stays there. Also, traveling spirits. TRAVELING means that they are presently doing it, suggesting to that they are alive.
like a ghost
they’re physically dead but their spirit lives on kinda thing
idk if this goes here, but has anyone noticed this manta has a shadow (so isn't 100% made of light)?
I think it’s the manta’s face that’s causing the shadow, like our body casting a shadow when our cape don’t
Are sky and journey connected?
There are parts that look similar
Also is there any links for lore in sky?
you can find the links to the albums in this channel’s pinned message
Ik this ain’t lore related but skymii ur profile is amazing
pffftt thanks Jay, drew Vault Elder before starting the non dominant hand challenge
Also had a thought and this might have already been discussed but
When visiting the tombs at the beginning of each world ( aside from Isle ), spirits appear and this had me thinking. What if those tombs who do not have a spirit appear as soon your sky kid do not have the connection with the elders. Or if thats not the case, they do not play the important roles like the spirits you do meet.
Had this thought as soon I arrived at the Valley’s social space. Was thinking if something happened to those of the Vault’s first level with the four player levitating puzzle
( aww thank you Duckiee! )
It feels like all Spirits had a life as SkyKids from years ago-
A thought of the Hidden Forest the last part before you get into the temple-
‘Trees’ have been knocked down-
It feels like on how- there were Krill there who knocked it over trying to hit Past SkyKids trying to escape into the Temple
It looks like there‘s four player door they had to open to hide safely until the krills were gone
The cry emote backstory theory is four Adults got stuck and couldnt take it out since they couldn’t burn the plant like how we did or the plant was a toughter material, one of them got stuck and deceased, and the last cried over it, fading with the rain, leaving them alone-
Some theories are sad-
I don’t think skykids are related to spirits in any way
The spirits are their own race who had a civilization on the ground, and the skykids were created to do their mission and bring the stars home
Ehh true-
I dont know what to call the Spirits whom lived when they were alive so heck
Well concepts called them ancestors but
oh yeah I forgot about that word
I think the name will always be “spirits”
AncEsto- oki no
If SkyKids had blood- would it be white
I know we dont have blood but for art and such
I would be shocked if they had blood in the first place
But even if it did I think it would be like.....gold or something
Something warm coloured
I always thought SkyKids were made of Wax—- but I figured it out and questioned why I thought of it
Well who knows
I’ve seen theories that they are animated rock or stone
I’ve also seen theories that they are pure wax
One time I saw a theory that they were made of power diamonds
i also saw someone say they were clay or porcelain
That too
Since there’s so many possibilities, I jus say that they are made out of....something
i just say they’re porcelain cause of the sound effects lmao
and because if they were made out of wax they would’ve died right after creation due to their body temperatures djdhdjdb
Magic wax 👍🏼
Well I’m guessing it’s jus a game mechanic but when we die in eden our body jus goes poof
💥
Yeah but the sound effect sounds like something breaking rather than just poofing
HMMM
question:
Who was that person speaking to us and telling us about the story of the elders during the first cutscene?
yah know, the intro!
Maybe Eden
More of a theory: Edens Elder
That doesn’t actually exist lol
well there is an Eden’s elder
because when you fly up to orbit you can see an Elder’s Shrine
ill try to take a photo of it today when i go to Eden
I know exactly what you’re talking about, but the shrine in the middle is actually the Vault Elder’s
And the platform is set up exactly like Vault, but without the grass
This one?
@reef flax actually the most popular theory rn for the knocked down trees is that it was a whale who’s skeleton is now laying in the collapsed building to the left in the final area, looks like it came crashing down from the right, where there’re the tallest destroyed trees, and crashe into a building making it collapse
they probably used the vault’s shrine model because it is easier
also look at this
they are looking at orbit
yea, it always made me wonder why they were always looking up
@steel trellis
Ive always thought thats a Krill Skeleton- hmmm-
if u look closely at screenshots of whales the head looks very similar with the skull in forest
and the anatomy is similar as well
and even now theres a whale in forest, when u enter the cave system a whale comes out of the clouds and is visible for couple of seconds
once i went into the oob under the caves and found its model just chilling under jsjsj, he was just slowly rolling around
I said this a lot of times but if u observe closely, the wasteland elder mask is actually based on a whale skull
hi people, I don’t know if this has already been discussed, but what is the significance of the boats? they appear within the first three realms but I don’t think they appear in the last realms. do you guys think this means anything?
No, there’s at least one boat in every realm except Vault
Eden’s boats are seen in the social area and the bottom of the Wind and Rocks area
hmm, wonder why I haven’t noticed them
oh wait! yes, I know what you’re talking about
There’s a frozen and partially submerged boat in the ice rink in Valley
Yeah!
And there’s some mini boats on the Ship in Wasteland
so are the boats just apart of like the past transportation of the spirit?
or do you think there is something important about them?
I think where they are may indicate how the boats were used by the spirits
yes, and isn’t in the wave emote, in the spirts memories it waves to a passing boat traveling in the air?
so boats are just a large part of zie spirit culture
Yeah essentially
Boats were used to carry butterflies
Like as an energy transporter
But the boats seen on the ship in Wasteland seemed to just be emergency boats like life rafts
okie dokie, thanks. makes a lot of sense
Hey I suppose this could go in questions, but is there single place I can go to learn the entire lore of sky, if really like to just get everything in one place chronologically. Does that sort of place exist?
You can check at the pinned message here! The Lores of Sky are pretty vague so stuffs like concept arts and theories here in this channel, give us ideas on what the lore might be @sacred wolf
Okay thanks!
You’re welcome! Have fun looking at them!
I only kno one purpose of the boats
It was to deliver the light pots to forest so they can make power diamonds but besides that
I don’t know
Boats used to be big part of the game back then before having to tone them down
Would make sense for the boats to be seen as transportations from one place to the other
mhmm yeah that’s back in the Old Beta
This might’ve already been mentioned, but going with the idea that the cosmetics are simply made of the Sky Child’s imagination (hence why your shadow is merely a body), perhaps children sharing light through there candles is a way of tapping into their imagination, letting you see what they see
The lack of cosmetics in shadows was confirmed to be because of performance issues that came with the live shadows ,
But it is fun to speculate!
Hey how do you get the blue cape to go in the office
How!? There was boat talk and I wasn't around for it!?
Oh! The recent Japanese livestream is mostly in english! https://youtu.be/Q4YrB4lLXTs
Also, Chen!
Well, Chen's in english
I love supporting and watching their live-streams but once again
There was no lore 😔

Has anyone noticed that the crying spirit isn’t the spirit that tells the story but the spirit that gets saved? For every other spirit it’s the spirit that needs saving that tells the story, but the crying spirit is different the story is told from the perspective of on of the spirits that died during the cave in
Meaning that they all ascended as the crying spirit was left alone for the darkness to grow on them :(
mhm same with the telekinesis spirit where the spirit who told the story was of the other spirit
saw this on twitter and
have fun looking at the concept arts
this is going to be one journey for y’all to see

( god the concept arts for Wasteland are just , amazing holy moly )
wow
THE DIAMOND FACTORY
ERRREERYESSSSS

and they had a quarry?! that is something apparently and strangely missing in game now
yeah we may see one in the future
ugh sky concept art is so good it’s frying my brain

s-same here

me and my friends who's fanatics for story telling
saw these and just
_flipping out _
( myself included )
🤯

the capes looked like peacock tails sjdhjdbdjd
also the cycle of light thing with evolution?? that’s basically interesting
diamond factory though

YE S
ALL HAIL THE BIRD,,,,CAT BEAN
good question
they kinda look like a light creature so perhaps help the Skykids with certain puzzles
or just been mischief and causing trouble for us
just look at the subtle smirk
he angy cat
Who's named Daleth in the pic
also the wealthy town layout concept kinda looks like valley
I mean it looks like they are from Valley
daleth is the cat bird lmAo

I love this cat,,bird bean already
Ok but,
those guys
looks at turrets
and nopes away
And that spider thing
nahhhhh no thank you
( wheeeezee the crabs tho on the upper left corner )
THE POOR CRAB FELL
SUHDHDBDBDBDBD
oh also the trapped souls thing
i think that’s still a thing till now
since the cry spirit and the faint spirit had those plants
mhmm mhmm
I mean, considering that as soon you approach the spirits
before starting their memories
you'll have to burn the small dark plant
in order to start the memory
yeah
i wonder if the other spirits were so trapped they lost themselves completely in that darkness
Hmm,, perhaps so?
gives me some Oxenfree vibes where people were trapped in a place between space and time
I mean if referring back to what Mirian ( or was it Seraph
) saying that in the Old Beta Eden , every spirits died at the same time
Including the elders themselves
massacre
( there could be some survivors who unfortunately couldn't escape the darkness and falls onto them )
( truly, massacre indeed )
maybe the spirits we relived had became darkness themselves before the explosion?
if the spirits all died at the same time where did they go-
was thinking it was more of a
impact explosion
would explain why some places can seem cracked or damaged
and a few collapsed places
plus the spirits we relive look like they were protected by the explosion with something physical in the way
and the elders were blown away so it wasn’t an actual explosion like an atom bomb so oop
finished reading the texts...now I feel I know too much
apology right there, got little too excited as soon I saw someone on Twitter posted the link to the concept arts
( maybe too excited at this point )
I mean thank you so much Skymii

seriously! we are having access to classified information guys!!!
I started like "oh those sceneries are beautiful, cool buildings!" and then went
pffftt and then there's me who's flipping out about the creatures
( and Lyst too I guess hehee )
creatures THE CREATURES

the dark creatures you guys!!
DARK AND LIGHT

and elders and spirits and mebagird and diamonds and the king and the prince and
THE KING

( he actually appear quite sometime in the concept arts when you think about it )
( and terrifying too, from what my friend said
)
but the new info???! there are answers to numbers of our questions on him
hmm or perhaps more questions for me
considering that we dont really know what's the whole ordeal with this guy except he's crazy!
( like pure chaoticness at its finest )
ah sadly the words are blurry for me to read
but dang pretty sure we seen this in one of the livestreams
especially the ones that showcased the Elders concept arts
kinda blurry but still quite legible if you can zoom it
@sand abyss omg skymii thank youuuu, one of the most exiting things I saw was my theory on the diamond production was righttt, and from zooming in on the text I have a new name for them now. Artificial stars 🌟
game mechanic reasons, would be too much for the game to handle the amount of details for the shadows
lore wise??
that I can not explain too well
also @sly kestrel hehee you're welcome there!!
that concept art gallery makes me feel like a child at a candy store
im saving everything

i want e v e r y t h i n g
yes for the octopus
probably no for the turret
unless we want that as part of the new features for Wasteland's new potential areas?
new seafood

thanks for sharing that. filled in a lot of gaps
you’re welcome
Thanks to the OP in Twitter for posting that link
You bet yourself i scrolled up for that link Mii! So many new theories to be made

Like, literally where to start
Those dark creature concepts are terrifying
when can I hunt them
my favourite definitely has to go to Wasteland and The King
( no joke The King incredible and _terrifying _ )
and as for Wasteland itself
those watch towers

This building really interest me. How did it become broken like that, how is it even levitating
There are some towers like that in the valley
Yes, but that’s Valley. This is Prarie
I’m guessing it broke when the crystal exploded but did that explosion break physics as well?
Maybe it did hmm
and there’s bird’s nest, in praire. whole islands just floating
I’ve got a theory that the crystal explosion was much more violent then we give it credit for, I think it buried everything in a thick layer of ash and that killed off anything that survived the initial explosion, like a super-volcanic eruption. The buildings in wasteland are buried and broken, and the evidence of things getting buried goes all the way to prairie (haven’t looked in isle) there’s buried boats, and there’s grass that’s taken root on something on the boat. If it was the boat itself all boats would be green mounds at this point. It looks like something that fell from the sky, like ash. I think the strongest evidence of these photos is the candle alter. When they build these originally there’s no way they piled up the soil behind the candle stand, the only way that buildup could get there is something that occurred after the building had been built, that moved soil, like ash that had fallen and built up in that area. There are other areas in other worlds but I don’t have pictures for them atm
That makes a lot of sense, like all the vegetation left is just grass/moss/flowers/mushrooms/light up seaweed (tho I can understand why they would leave plants with lots of foliage out due to mobile game constraints)
first time ever saying a word here and this looks interesting
What are sky children made of...? What makes the sound when landing on ice 👀 and why do they leave vapor trails?
Basically there like stars. I personally believe that there stars from space as seen from the intro
I suppose these questions a destined to go unanswered for eternity
Does flaming helium and hydrogen clink when it lands on ice?
And the contrails...
There’s a lot of theories on what we are made of but nothing confirmed
I’m kinda wondering how calling works.
Does it only work with areas that have a strong relationship with spirits like temples or can it work for just about anything
@stark marten
I mean, it would make sense if life started to come back eventually. I don't think we know exactly how long it was since the crystal exploded and the "present day" in the game, it could have been a few hundred or thousand years possibly
Who knows how similar the Sky world is to our world, but I don’t think it’s been terribly long, certainly not thousands of years. There hasn’t been enough erosion for example—the edges of the wrecked boats and jars scattered in Isle and Prairie are still quite sharp, not weathered and rounded. The shipwreck in Wasteland, assuming it’s made of wood, is still pretty intact, and it looks more as if it’s been attacked and destroyed than as if it has rotted. And particularly tellingly, the cloth banners in Valley before the races are in remarkably good shape. Many are torn as if they’ve been through a strong wind, but they don’t look ancient or decayed
I think some realms took the corruption and damage more than others
In my mind, the shipwreck in Wasteland is made of stone - that's why it's a shipwreck
Lol what if the isle is the wasteland like they are connected or something. Also BOMB IN THE WASTELAND I REPEAT BOMB IN THE WASTELAND
If that's a bomb then all the realms have bombs
😳
Does anyone else think that the wasteland temple is the castle or something and the horn spirit is like those announcer dudes like the ones who line up on the stairs and blow their trumpets idk what they are called
I think they would have warned for the approach of krill or intruders
Oh fair point
OH WAIT
You know how the bomb is right by the horn spirit
MY GUY GOT BLOWN UP
maybe he was running away to try to get to safety and a bomb landed right next to him
But the architecture is vaguely similar to valley in parts so the horn player could be close to what you're thinking too
Yeah
Okay forgive me if someone else has already talked about this, but...
Can we talk about the crying spirit? Like I always figured it was the spirit's memories of losing her friends one by one, until she was the only one left. She turns gold when you ascend her just like any spirit, nothing unusual. But...
Notice. To activate the quest you don't interact with her, you interact with some completely basic spirit who wears no items. To progress the quest you don't touch the long hair spirit, you touch a basic spirit. Every time. It can be hard to tell because they're often so close that touching one may touch the other as well, but if you watch carefully, the blue light calling to you is always in the basic spirit.
When only the crying spirit is left, standing at the grave of her final friend, the light appears at her feet. Almost... under her.
Could it be that this isn't the memory of a spirit crying in a cave, but instead the basic spirit remembering her? Watching over her, even after his death. And the cosmetics you get from the spirit are not his memory of himself like most spirits, but instead his memory of her.
The only weird part is that despite all this, it's the crying girl who turns gold when you ascend the spirit, and the crying girl who appears when you call the cry spirit down from the constellation.
So is sky a kingdom because in news it says it is
Yeah I'm pretty sure it is. It's called the kingdom of Sky very often, and the concept art even references a king from time to time.
Cool ^-^
Also about the crying spirit, I totally agree
Looks like she was in love with the other plain spirit
But the other spirit seems more present
Maybe it just means that the crying spirit (I named her Lena just for funn) was super involved in other spirit lives
I think that random spirit was a storyteller that was telling u the tragic story of the spirit and her friends. And I haven’t put much thought to it but ur right, the activating spirit for the memory doesn’t look anything like the spirit at all
Yea I was confused too
@calm bobcat what bomb were u talking about?
Its just something that looks a bit bomb like from a distance, but really it's the home teleport/return spot
It’s a bird statue, I don’t get how u could confuse it for a bomb.....
OHHH I SEEE IT NOW
Haha it does look like a bomb 😂
The fallen stars stated in the intro is referring to the|| eden statues? ||
i think it's the elders?
the intro states it's the fallen stars that built the kingdoms so it's likely referring to the elders and other spirits we see
Right but i||n eden it said return the light to the fallen ||
Ok so u kno how our winged light is found from the glowing kids looking at the sky, and how u return that light to statues that happen to look exactly like the kid. A while ago I started to think that maybe the ones we were truly saving and returning home was the stars. After all, when u get to the constellation table after orbit u get a cutscene of stars literally returning to the sky. After seeing that cutscene of the stars thanking me and returning to the sky I immediately thought of what the intro said, bring our lost stars home. And if our mission was to return the elders then why didn’t we just stop at vault? Why did we have to go to the corrupted realm of eden if our mission was just to return the elders? In eden u get a vibe that’s like “alright this is where u end ur mission” or “this is where the journey ends and u fulfill ur purpose” and just like @vivid parcel said, we return the light of the fallen. And when I read that, it felt like this is what we were truly meant to do
But i don’t know I could be wrong about everything
This is just a theory I thought of because I got bored and I have nothing to speculate on anymore. I already finished my wasteland and power diamond theory so i jus thought I should make another one
Occasionally i think of how an entire army must’ve been wiped out here and feel sad :’|
aaaand i still don’t know what this bird’s supposed to be
srsly why is it on its back?
That’s something leftover from beta
Mirian said about it:
There used to be a quest on the citadel, and the spirit of a bird would appear to give you the reward (one candle)
Now its just a statue
that sounds so cool tho ;0;
These little hole houses seem intentionally door-like
where is that?👀
looks like from Pineswood/Forest Underground
Looks like it to me
to the upper left ,right?
thank you!! I found it!
no problem
small empty cave it is
also a p good instrument playing spot
i like to think that the sunny cave was like an underground home system
even tho it doesnt really seem like it
I’m still wondering what went so wrong in eden
same
the most accepted theory is that there was a big explosion; the diamond exploded, and like killed the spirits and left sky in ruins
literally enough to stop time haha
but we dk what really went down :,) hahbdbs
Well whatever happened red crystals are everywhere
the diamond theory was an interesting one to look at 👀 especially when connecting to Eden
Speaking of. What caused nightmare dragons to act the way they do. Are they trying to protect something
keeps me up at night wondering about that
I personally think that they see you as a threat and are going to repeat whatever happened in eden
idea i just had: they’re machines designed to harvest light creatures for energy (for the ancestors)
But as we saw in I think that secret area in the forest there is a non darkness version of the dragon
true (though some aren’t convinced whales are light dragons)
True.
and there isn’t anything else that seems to have a light counterpart
no light crabs
I think crabs became what they are possibly because they have a red crystal acting as a heart in a way
Given the fact there just rock
true
So this could mean that there are red crystals outside of eden somewhere
Acting as a crab hotspot
As in inside the crab man
they do have red eyes i think
My friend showed me a trick in eden (not saying what it is 🤐) but we crashed and i slammed right into one of those red rocks and i literally died
I was dying of laughter bc of my character LOL
Actually don’t krill drop rock like stuff when they fly by?
Perhaps those could be crabs
its just dark flakes they domt really stick to you unless you lost your light
i found it so funny how me and a buddy were in wasteland and since we were holding hands, he had thought i was being targeted since i was leading, and he let go of my hand as i did the home trick and the dragon swoops down and tackles him i was left in tears of laughter LMAO
rip
Also when the dragon swooped down next to me, i died and came back to life super quickly i was so confused
Well everyone knows that if you get struck by a dragon you lose all your light and a few wings right? well since i was doing that home trick, i lost my light amd then relit back up and i was perfectly fine
Magic
oh i also want to tell a crazy story bc i feel like i can say it here in this chat
ehhh maybe eden spoilers
Also I get the feeling crabs are man made.
most likely haha
Spoilers are allowed in here, but keep this channel lore related
Stories are best told in #eden-spoilers
@exotic shuttle :0 oke
Watched crabs interacting with one of the Krill the other day. It looked that whenever the blue light is on them they ‘sit down’ and not move. Maybe they are also scared of Krills.
whoa cool
Would make sense
I think that the people turned into stone and become spirits near eden are held in the big ol black crystal thing
some of the concept art has storm as a big swirl/tornado or whatever, with the end/ascent at the center, which checks out with eye of the storm
It’s also called “original sin” in Japanese if I’m correct
i’ve heard that too
I always thought that Mantas have mouth. It opens now and then @hushed steeple I will need to take better pics, but definitely can see it opening on those big ones at Prairie, they often produce the shout bubble when they do it.
Without a friend or campfire.
Please keep discussion in this channel related to lore! That seems like a great topic to talk about in #general-sky-discussion or #seasons-events-chat instead
That brings up the question
What was the original sin
That I’m presuming got the elders banished?
Making the power diamond too stronk. Actually no that isn't a sin that's an engineering failure
Rather than making the diamond more strong, i think it was their thirst for power that was their sin
too greedy
Oh that makes a lot more sense
Yeah I was thinking prideful for awhile,
I’m starting to wonder how water becomes darkness infused
Like is it exposure to darkness plants?
I think it’s just something similar to pollution, it does look and behave similar to oil
Would explain the factory like area it comes from
Actually hold on
If it was oil wouldn’t just help creatures of light given the fact you can set oil on fire
Would also explain why the water in the vault is corrupted to given the crabs
It’s odd how we have a no mask. Like we’re actual children of the dark. Consuming what is said star but the actually children of the light. We wear the masks and cape so the elders won’t realize that something is wrong
Not pieces together buts it’s a thought
Now that you think about it
I feel like your player character is attempting to undo what’s been done despite there faction
I looked over wasteland for evidence of my earlier theory about the ground being buried in ash. There’s evidence all over the place. We’re not walking on sand dunes, we’re walking on ash dunes. Just look at the trail we leave, sand isn’t fine enough to do that. The fogginess probably isn’t smog, it’s probably ash that’s still in the air. I bet wasteland is deathly cold.
Another thing. People don’t build statues in industrial areas or decorate their building spires. Wasteland was probably exactly like or even larger then valley, being a huge city that’s the center of culture. It, however was below the mountain, and when the power crystal cracked it got the worst of the blast, and wiped the world of its existence. Valley survived because it was higher up, it had natural geography protecting it. The vault remained relatively unharmed, and there survivors tried to defend themselves on the battlefield from probably krills that had been attracted to all the sudden death going on. There was probably no need for someone like wasteland elder before the crystal broke.
Me and a few other people believe they weren’t fighting krill. The war theory...
I noticed the other day that crabs have the same rocks stuck on them like the ones we get in Eden when we are about to die
Could that mean that the crabs were creatures of light and some how got corrupted?
Speaking of. It could also possibly explain why crabs tend to hide from krill
maybe we’re dark coloured because we hold the light inside, like a black hole
(except it leaks out from our heart in our chest, and also into our cape)
Just imagine how crazy fun it would be if the current storm had these concepts
Rip king
oh wow is that official?
the king honestly one of the most insane characters you’ll ever seen
official concept art
there are some interesting arts featuring him ( or at least representations of him )
its on the office wall, yeah!
omg i never saw that before
“Avoid dark rain from creatures”
“Avoid King’s darkness”
“Avoid King’s spear”
And I used to think the current storm was too hard for me 😂
thank you!
i mean despite not making appearance in game ( aside from his statues ) he’s a pretty fun character to think about
Yessss he is
what do we know about the king?
U can find a lot in concept arts but there’s a lot to explain about him
mmmm let’s see .
where do we even begin???
or at least i think you can see it on the ingame office wall
lmao 😂
Wow that sentence made no sense
But u kno what I mean, there’s just a lot to speculate on
at least the king not long forgotten
It’s hard to see
Just a blur
And people will get the wrong impression and be like “tHaTs jUs a ToWEr wItH a dIaMond on TOp”

LOL
i mean it might as well be if that’s the case
Bro who said the king isn’t in game
I mean they aren’t wrong but he’s more than that
The king is eden bro... he’s been right there this entire time,,
Eden elder is king
Elder eden is king
King is eden elder
King is eden
