Even tho it makes sense to the theme
I miss the aviary
Home isn’t really home anymore, it’s more like.....”place with portals and changing closet”
Some old piece of faq for you
Isle of Dawn - the first level you encounter where you are introduced to the game's controls and features for the first time. This looks like a sandy beach, and there is a temple high atop a hill.
Daylight Prairie - this is the first level you really get to fly in, where you meet the mantas, and are surrounded by clouds.
Hidden Forest - this is the dark gloomy forest where the rain drains your character of its energy, and the first place you discover burnable dark matter.
Valley of Triumph - this is the snowy downhill race through the peaks of a frozen valleys that leads you to a great coliseum.
Golden Wasteland - this is the desolate wasteland where the terrible krill patrol high high above, waiting to swoop down on the descendants below.
Vault of Knowledge - this is the starry library where you must ascend through the floors of a great tower with the help of celestial creatures.
Eye of Eden - this is the treacherous maelstrom of stone and hail that very few have ever survived.
The Ascent - this is the flight through the peaks and into the open skies above.
The Light - the final location.
There is also a special level where you can warp between levels, connect with and manage friends called Home.```
home becomes a home with friends imo
Oh oop this isn’t even the old one
a meeting place
@sly kestrel I mean, Home has always been "place with portals and changing closet"
Except before it didn't even have the closet
Just portals
Oh! For a while, Home was officially "Sanctuary of light"
Everyone hated it
hahaha
They changed it back after, but I still have an old comic with a joke about it
Have Mantas always been Mantas?
Oh man I almost forgot about "candle space" for home
Are mantas even officially mantas? Or is that a fan name that just stuck
I think winged light were always winged light? But they looked like stars on top of shrines so maybe the name stuck 😄
The visuals on spirits changed a lot with time and they didn’t sell stuff before, but they were pretty much always there
There used to be graves all over the levels where their quests are, and they would just hang there
There didn't even used to be spirit quests
You just showed up and spirit was like "yeah sure here's an emote"
That’s true lol
So spirits are dead confirmed
Game was very boring for the longest time tbh
They look pretty dead to me
I think reliving their memories and ascending them confirms the whole “yep, they’re dead” thing
yeah a lot of people don't realize how basic the game used to be. Beta screenshots are exciting and all, but people sometimes confuse the "I am excited to see this old thing" feeling with "This game looks exciting to play"
The game was in development so it was okay at the time
Yeah
But it would be ugly and boring as a released game
I do wonder if things that got changed still play an important part in the story and lore though
Maybe that once change back in early beta was supposed to be completely forgotten and were here trying to make sense of it
remember that one rock in Isle? The one like all the other rocks?
Maybe that's the true answer to the deepest lore
The boats are still interesting though, as they are still on the murals and in prairie
I miss them
I love boats
Boats love you
i live for the boats
yall when i was krilling myself in graveyard for fun i got to explore the more overlooked parts of the area
i saw more. boats. and i pretty much sobbed from excitement
Boats in wasteland?
theres boats in wasteland yes
theres boats in eveey area but vault. theres even one boat in the first area of eden
theres boats in forest, one in valley i believe, some more in wasteland amd one in eden
I'll need to pay more attention
the lore of the game is in the environment itself
i didn't really look until i got into lore
and wasteland too
U need the chrome glitch to get all the details
though i know how to glitch out of the rock rain in the final area
There’s nothing much back there tho
All I got was a wind wall 🤨
its pretty exciting imo but its pretty empty
argh
i have vids i sent before but ill send them again
I mean technically we met already, ur rose’s friend right?
i glitched out of the rock rain
Okie
The diamond has alwys looked like a window/doorway to me
Rather than a power diamond
It looks like a huge portal, kind of like the ones in home
That’s what I thought toooo
theres a video online where it shows the diamond like... in broken pieces?
a close up
i thought it was a portal as well. i thought that we were supposed to go to it when i did eden for the first time ;-;
Oh? Can you link the video?
Maybe since boats couldn’t take them back to orbit, they tried to create a portal and it backfired on them?
I always thought that like, Prairie was the Sky kingdom's main port for imports, like butterflies.... And then they would send it "further downstream" to the other kingdoms or something. Idk. Because there's also a ton of boats in every kingdom with butterflies. The two kingdoms that don't have butterflies (Vault and Valley) also have no wrecked boats. But in Wasteland, Isle, Prarie, and Forest, there are some boats and a lot of butterflies.
you can see the broken pieces wiggling near it, like its still being held by force by the diamond?
valley has one boat. its under the ice rink i believe. vallet also has blue butterflies in coliseum (from old beta) i think idk if they got rid of them now
Oh yeahhhhh the boat under the water. Hmm.
Dangit
But still. I think that boats imported butterflies, and that was the main role of Prairie. It was the port to the other kingdoms.
We do see in the wave spirit cutscene that his friend is in a boat with a bunch of pots, so I’m positive your right!
@spring blaze thanks it makes more sense now!
Prairie was where the butterflies were caught
There's a spirit catching them
And it's worth noting that we get rewards by releasing butterflies from pots
So was this bottling of the butterflies part of the downfall - I have read here the theory that they turned these butterflies into power diamonds
Mirian posted the link in #general-sky-discussion Skymii 👀

It looked a lil awkward in the past, I really like the current version
It’s so nice to see how some things go waaaay back
The whole thing is worth watching if you have the time, just wish I could understand it
i´m watching it atm
I’m enjoying this a lot just seeing how everything looked so different back then
Also that city
The green industrial one (wasteland?) reminds me so much of flower
woahh
Makes me think the game was set in a more futuristic world
or modern even
since in some concept arts you see some objects or buildings that from the modern world
Most notably the ones from the Hidden Forest with the really really old designs of the Forest Elder with the Umbrella, Bicycle and other items i forgot but know it’s not from the main world
But yeah it would be interesting if Sky actually takes more of a futuristic approach than what it is now
Does anyone have pictures/videos of the murals from the end of Vault?
Full set of the vault murals pulled from the web
Ooh thanks
Something went through my mind
In the wasteland, you can find a set of giant crabs stabbed and cooked, which means they're edible
Were krills part of the daily nutrition of the sky people?
What was the nutrition of skykids? Similar to us with milk, meat, fruits, etc or is it simply a delicacy
What are the valley elders playing
It looks like hockey, but I believe it is to represent the days of glory, olympics, something like the Pax Romana of the Roman Empire
Ooh, makes sense
From what I can gather from the intro, we all came from stars and we eventually settled to the clouds.
Isle Of Dawn: the arrival, barren, looking for soil and earth to harvest (birth of man)
Daylight Prairie: First civilisations, trading is the current currency and jobs have started to appeare. Society is forming (Mesopotamia)
Hidden Forest: as the civilisations settled, they had visions of higher beings, the Elders, those that will protect their light. We can probably see a scene reminescent of Prometheus, teaching mankind fire
Valley Of Triumph: peace, order and respect is an all-time high. To celebrate the success of each civilisations, they agree to, at some points, make olympic games for diplomacy, culture and peace
Golden Wasteland: believed to be the capital due to the numerous presence of temples, war waged between someone or something. This is where the krills appear, but why. Were they the darkness that the celestials warned or were they the creation of these civilisations, gone rogue?
If the latter is correct, this could be seen irl as robots might achieve sentience and they can, willingly, turn on us.
Vault Of Knowledge: scarred by war, the doors have been shut and the wise secluded themselves to prevent further knowledge from being destroyed. If this fell, it would be as desastrous as the burning of the Library Of Alexandria.
You based this off of Greek mythology with is on par with what’s going on
Well, multiple cultures too
In every fictional story, there's a model
Greek culture wasnt just "ooga ooga democracy and gods". Sparta, close to the Dorien ancestors, were ready for war, opposite of the Athenians who's culture is all about refined arts

Part Translation (1)
After 0:07:00
- Hes played a part in known disney films like Frozen, Wreck it Ralph, (the one with the princess stuck in the ivory tower, I need a disney expert here), short films, etc.
- He's heard the Frozen song play so much that its essentially now a broken record
- Does some pretty amazing stop motion pictures (Song: Yolo - The Lonely Island Ft. Adam Levine & Kendrick Lamar)
- Talks about the pressure hes gotten while in development of his games and that there were numerous obstacles he had to overcome (unspecified)
- Jokingly talks about the results of most games where aggression and violence are always the theme and heads come flying off most of the time
- Titles that he has been quite invested in took a different direction, where the above note is all about killing and violence vs his pacifist approach (Cloud, Flow, Flower, Journey, etc) and Sky being the result of his accumulated work over the years (He calls it the spiritual successor)
- Assures the audience that since hes speaking quickly due to the time constraints, all else will be followed up slowly at a later time (via email or the web I guess). Hes got too much to cover and it includes his 10 years of experience
- Talks about the use of Adobe Flash and how he integrated it into his game development as a prototype? (Assuming as a simulator/foundation/basis of sorts)
- The premise for Sky I believe is that he wanted to know how two players in an online game would go about solving problems together and becoming friends (oh man, I remember thinking about this) &how would players deal with Krills together
- Musician Austin: Composed musical pieces by day 3
- Colour panels and why those were chosen
- Mini-games they have integrated into the game
- (Not sure what ppt is an abbreviation for if not PowerPoint, unless theres a joke there I'm not getting)
- A lot of the creatures in Sky are based off of or a reflection of things that were made in other titles
[LOGICAL DESIGN TECHNIQUES]
- Starting out as a small game development company collusion codes were difficult to write
- Something along the lines "wanting to incorporate our journeys and experiences in life into a 30 minute session represented visually by a game, to all that you go through from birth, to your growth, and death" (rephrased)
- One of Sky's major concepts: he wanted players to feel immersed into the game in not just one sense but multiple, concurrently takes on the issues of gaming on your mobile phone, such as causing your phone to heat up, to prevent it by ensuring that it takes up less processing power by using ARTISTIC LOW-POLY STYLE and methods to allocate memory they call CLOUD TECH (which I did notice when I first played this game, unlike other mobile games I've played Sky doesn't always turn my phone into a portable radioactive heater)
- Continues to talk about their development and design to which they use specific techniques to assist the above-mentioned benefits of minimalizing the memory the game takes up by maintaining basic & refined shapes, textures, proportion, density, range or distance and design elements they incoporate the 20/80 rule for (as opposed to the more common rule of 30/70)
- Sky was intended to be logical, emotionally relatable & impactful, captivate non-gamers, exercises your creative and imaginative capacity rather than only muscle memory of mashing controls/keys (makes reference to how minecraft does something similar)
TLN: hahahahahahaha thats too funny, very clever as well. You guys might've noticed how theres things stuck on the ground or buildings and the sort in strange places (especially if you leave the map boundaries), he says throw your unfinished work to the side and bury it so it creates a value of time. Conspicuous mysteries. (But he says in reality, he just doesn't have the time to do it)
- Tips for indie game developments, utilizing UV layouts/textures will save time. Polygons are a deterrant so try to minimize them and make them efficient
- Talks about the animation of playable/non-playable characters/NPC's; by transitioning from longer actions to shorter actions to a neutral actions (i.e. a full stop) to shorter actions, you can cycle these motions to bring something more seemingly to life or make it feel alive (and saving time/resources is a given)
- Giving things a FLOAT factor is an easy way to make something look fancier, by this I assume he means how characters don't have to constantly snap/stick to their positions and come to a full stop, giving it a sort of flow of movement
- The GLOW factor follows the same intent
[EMOTIONAL SPIRITUAL PHILOSOPHIES]
- Start-up team was small
- Color plays a significant part in the game's design (as seen in the presentation, with photos that make the distinction in their contrast)
- Curve and straight lines are integrated to create visual harmony
- ...they made a pikachu as a test element for visuals LOL
TLN: wow they have so much concept art here I love it, gives me so much more to look forward to. Expect things from other titles to be incorporated into the game i.e. scarves, creatures, inspired costume designs, back accessories, ||ultimate reward for season of belongings||, villages, etc. (This may be potential hint towards personalized gameplay, nothing specific or confirmable (39:23 of the video) as he says its an incomplete project). I haven't played any of the other titles, but I did watch an entire playthrough of Journey because the art was magnificent and the music was just out of this world.
- The city night view has inspired certain elements in the game pertaining to the amount of darkness and lighting used
- Considerably invested in the details when designing, grass and flower textures/shapes had to reach a median in terms of style
- Not enough time to polish designs due to time constraints and a "Never Finished" mentality (i.e. hairs, capes, accessories will overlap with each other) but he mentions that he will slowly and gradually get through it (kind of like ||Piggyback||, the other person's arms covers the operator's eyes, which doesn't affect gameplay but looks funny)
- The concept of sliding more often than you do normal/casual walks was an accidental discovery from his work in Journey, he kept the idea boarding/skating places
- I think he made a metaphor? How the story is based similar to that of a child running around on his own adventure and an ancestor showing him a ppt (powerpoint I'm assuming? I'm not very learned in art of Chinese humour lol) This game is childsplay, ladies and gentlemen. The kind we long to do but cannot because we old and the world and responsibilities consume our time
- the trailer they've concluded for the game after 7 years of development {{0:47:12}} (The music is great!)
- Talks about the release date, July 18th 2019, he says "This game will be available worldwide in a week, should be July 18th, so if everybody has the time come and support us since its free.. or I think it is, it should be! Last time they told me it was free!.. but if its not.. please don't come and give me trouble hahah"
- Jiang's game development tips:
- Know what your goals are, specify & clarify from point A to point B, from beginning to end. Who you are, where you came from and where you're going.
- As a game designer, there are 3 major aspects to keep in mind; Technical wonder (mechanics and anything that makes the game appeal, fun or exciting), Universal accessibility (making it unlimited, or non-limited to any particular age groups as it can be a family game to play), and
Ever lasting emotions (allowing players to attach a different feeling of gaming experience so that players learn how to approach it in a different way, to which it can be applicable to our own personal lives and the attitudes we take towards it)
- Practice! Practice! Practice! >> They say practice makes perfect right?
[THIS CONCLUDES THE PRESENTATION]
There's a Q&A after but I'll do that a little later.
{Notable Moments}
0:40:00 - what is that, a zipline?
0:40:10 - is that a cloud waterfall? 😏
0:44:44 -> 0:44:47 - world building and a map of the current world, may take a bit more to determine where everything is, &look, theres secrets! 5 of them! I don't know what they are so don't ask me haaa
0:45:54 - a compilation of different cosmetic styles/accessories, can't assume they're finalized but do expect some of them, if not all, to be integrated into the game (I really dig that crown on the second row 3rd set from the left, I just hope its a crown and not a hairstyle)
0:45:55 - some photos here depict a lot of the choices we have for cosmetics in this game, but if you didn't catch it earlier in the video, theres a set of masks that have concept arts already drawn but are nowhere to be seen yet even in other seasons (correct me if I'm wrong, please)
Final TLN: I've never gone out of my way to translate anything like this, so thank you @crimson grove an @warped reef for giving me an incentive to, it was actually quite a pleasure and a lot of insight for the development of this game. I wonder what it takes to be apart of the team??
Uh
don't ask me, ask @crimson grove
Well
It is the history of the game
But it aint..the lore of the story
All we have are theories
lol isn't that what this channel is for?
theories
I've translated and sort of rephrased the words, but they're still not my words. I just made observations and speculations to hopefully clarify some of the things
Oh
@muted relic that’s amazing work! Thanks for this!
@hollow pier you’re very welcome!
So im reading A Wrinkle in Time and I keep thinking
What if the Black Thing was the one that ruined the kingdoms? Specifically Wasteland and Eden?
Thank you for this @muted relic
Ooh heh
@proven sigil I think it was something similar to that— some form of corruption
Like, im p sure the black thing would try to make these creatures conform but fails cuz theyre light and in the end just tries to destroy them all
And there was a thing in the book i notice (spoilers) ||apparently in the happy medium chapter they say how a star gives up its light to make sure the darkness doesnt spread|| and i think about how that feels like what we're doing
Ohhh. Wow. That’s so true...
Woah @muted relic thank you so much for this!! I will be collecting some screenshots from the presentation to pin in this channel for future reference and I’d like to include your translation/notes ^^
@cosmic oyster you're welcome
@crimson grove sure, be my guest. Glad I could contribute
Great job! @muted relic
@modest skiff thank you
@muted relic that’s amazing! Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to translate for us!
@sudden sleet thank you thank you, it was my pleasure, honest!
thank you a lot чєσng ! I gonna to watch the whole video with your translation by my side.
I am not an expert but a disney movie with a princess stuck in a tower could be "Tangled" (魔髮奇緣 in Chinese according to Wikipedia)
@humble barn yesss thats the one lol
It’s the reason why we’re alive, without the megabird there wouldn’t be elders or sky kids or capes for flying
But how do you know
We wouldn’t have a game
We don’t know for certain because we know very little for certain
The megabird itself is confirmed canon, megabird information is just theory
I can’t wait for this to come to pc and for matpat to do a theory on it
speaking of theories, i was drawing the concept art prairie elder and the live ones together and it got me thinking
do y'all think that there were other elders before the ones we have live?
I don’t think so but it’s certainly possible! Maybe the megabird was incubating children on a different planet and krill are them so it came here
There /is/ a dark planet in the credits afterall
isn't there a couple of planets in the credits
its a theory
i was looking at the elder concept arts and yknow how they have these symbols
this has been talked before but the forest concept elder's symbol is pretty much the same as the little symbol in live forest's temple entrance
unless its beem removed i haven't been in forest in a while
like im probably overthinking this, like maybe the sky kingdom had the concept arts forest elder before the live forest elder. since the concept elder's symbol is by the entrance
but probably its just and environmental thing they didjt bother to switch out
idk
We don’t know if it incubates children, I’m making an assumption that when the elders fell they fell from the megabird’s embrace because the office mural (and the megabird in the Sky of orbit/ascent/credit) is composed of lots of smaller things (birds/mantas/whales in office mural, stars in orbit) and since the spirits are stars that literally return to the constellation with the Megabird (and there’s even a constellation of three sky kids directly part of the Megabird constellation) that the spirits and birds are all part of the megabird
It seems to heavily imply we’re all part of the megabird therefore where the elders in the intro fell from and where the spirits are being returned/reunited
I remember when it used to have an umbrella
And I’m still questioning why there were modern items in those concept arts
I feel like people are really trying to fit the Megabird into the lore
like
it bird
it sure bird.
I know right
the megabird was very prominent in the eden stage of the concept arts. the devs probaby tried to implement it into the game, or at least something, but due to money and performance they were unable to
all we have is a swirl in orbit that represents something important, and many people believe that its the megabird
i don't blame them for taking something from the concept arts and try to find something similar ingame. like how there was a king in the concept arts but not ingame, yet if we didn't know there was a king, then we wouldnt have noticed the environmental details that indicates a king in game. or at least, knew what they were
The most I can get from the megabird is from the office water and the bird symbols I find
i always figured the things in prairie were manta drawings
Could be that too
I was thinking last time in Eden that the mantas at the end in orbit with the giant light ball with them circling around were megabirds
As far as I know they are mantas
They are indeed mantas
I think the giant light ball is Megabird, who is the source/aggregation/hub/center of life (soul).
It is not a creature, but is like a higher spiritual being, and not technically a bird. It has a bird-ish form sometimes, or maybe people believed it had a bird-like form (like in some religions, people believe that god(s) looks like a certain animal).
And we do have an indication of bird with unworldly power in game: The bird statues we can use to teleport back to Home island.
OH YEAAA FORGOT ABOUT THOSE
where this week season spirit
Wrong channel but is at the Wasteland’s Boneyard where the Crab pit is
best to ask at #seasons-events-chat or #questions-and-help if you need to ask question since this channel only specialise in lore
@cosmic plinth
i thiiiink those are bird drawings. theres a lot in isle and theres no mantas in that realm
i think these are manta drawings (on the left of the first pic)
which reminds me of maple seed.. leaves thing
They do! I like the really simplistic depictions.
But then they are very open to interpretation. We don’t know for sure what they are... context tells us that’s mantas but 🤷♀️
I’m not gonna crash anyone’s party here, megabird theory is awesome...... Buuuut it’s also highly likely that the bird symbols are indicating the tiny origami bird creatures, rather than the megabird lol
im not super huge in them either heh
yeah personally i feel like the mega bird is a fun theory but it also, lacks a lot of evidence and doesn’t feel worth riding on
if anything i’d say the mega bird is like
“Yeah man, one day the mega bird will take us all to the light. But we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.”
I jus do theories on the king and golden wasteland and stuff
but y’know don’t let me stop you from doing those theories regardless, make me eat my words if you want
Prove us wrong 👍🏼
I just like making theories in general. And I like it when my theories work out well with canon evidence and existing theories lol
You know what nags at me slightly? All the elders seem to be at the stage of life that their stage represents.... EXCEPT for Isle elder. He’s literally an old guy..... hmmm
But maybe he represents rebirth? Because when you give him light, he suddenly gets all excited again? Idk
Also I haven’t figured out the rhyme and reason behind why crabs attack us... maybe they also got corrupted by the crystal? I have this theory that krill are just Sky whales that got corrupted by the Eden crystal exploding, and I can elaborate more on that if someone wants me to.
Hmm. But if the crabs are corrupted, then why are they in forest, where there is also a non-corrupted sky whale? Hmmmm
I’ll think about this lol
I think the isle elder also represents rebirth in a way? He's the old welcoming in the new i guess?
"YES MY GRANDCHILDREN, GO FORTH"
also, i guess since crabs are dark creatures, they want the light. If you watch crabs they'll even put out lanterns, fire pits and even destroy the health bars of carry spirits
Really? Oh man
Maybe it’s not so much that they crave the light for no other reason than wanting it but they try to obtain enough to become what they used to be, friendly crabs, but they can never get enough
Oooh
I wonder if there will be a point in the game where things start to get better, or go back
I guess that since sky whales are so big, they’d be less easily corrupted than crabs.. hm
Though it may be due to mechanics and stuff, the sky kid’s shadow only shows the body of it. Not the cape or anything else. So i think the clothes of the sky kids are made of light and that is what gives the kid light in the dark. I saw a theory that the kid bodies were made of something like stone before in this chat. So when the kids get krilled and lose all light, the kid is blank, no cape or anything else and that’s why. The krill ate all light including cosmetics
Someone told us that the shadow is like that due to mechanics, but I still think that our cosmetics are also intentionally designed to be not real. we receive them from spirits who are like ghosts now
About why the island elder's is old, the devs have said something similar to Granny Pigeon's theory: "The elders are also designed to somewhat show how adults look like from baby's point of view (snip) The isle elder is the first elder and leads children to the mysterious world."
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1F0MQ8T8yc_5OrBXF5OtD4M2W0zg_n_HrtnUyq1C8d2E/edit?usp=sharing
about the isle elder?
Y’all know what this doge’s name is cause I wanna keep him
I call it Blond Oreo
More controversially, Oreo’s love rival
Lol
A good boy
OMG THAT TINY JOURNEY TRAVELER
i never played journer but i need that omg
so skykids knows the concept of family?
or they refer us as the players. im prolly overthinking that lmao
they refer us as humans (devs and players)
Wait where'd you get that from?
iirc that grandma topic came up when Yui called the Forest elder "she"
so the conversation was about how they (devs) describe characters in the game
When you start the season it says grandma needs help
Like she’s officially called grandma
yes, and what they implied is that those official names are not canon
Thanks @humble barn!

like, what we see is canon, but what we read is not
I wouldn’t say it’s not canon because then you’d need to imply that the sky kid is the one talking?
It wouldn’t make sense
That means anything named in game isn’t canon either
are crab really crab??????
They’re rock thingies now
Rock...crabs?
well we knew that Sky whales are not earth whales and Sky mantas are not earth mantas...
True
omg
Rusty and Oreo, name a better duo.
Anyone have a better quality version of this?
Sky's emotional-arc and their story/color board
speaking of potential items from the general chat
Been thinking about what kind of spirits that would use the shield ( and perhaps even that dual swords from eden )

hmmm idk but wasteland sure has a lot of interesting things going on
( even the small part of eden intrigue me )
yeah! Which is why i’m excited for any type of expansion to wasteland or eden :0
like it’s so interesting to me that in battle field it looks like there’s two opposing sides
because i assumes they were fighting krills or something, but appears not to be the case
i mean looking back at the battlefield there are at least two different types of shields, implicating that there must be going on with two sides. But what exactly we don’t know
Perhaps one side tries to protect the kingdom while the other does not
yeah :0
and if we assume that the temple is the true Vault’s entrance, you have to wonder what they wanted from Vault?
and if they lost?
I mean if we try to connect the dot for the Vault’s new area, there must be something going on, hence the wasteland soldiers tried to protect but couldn’t
After all the Vault is very vulnerable since it’s technically a tower fills with knowledge, hence having the defence from Wasteland
like what kind of informations this person, or beings want from Vault ?
Also Vault elder looks also she’s been through some thing, like yes, some thing has been taken from the vault
so maybe we can assume whatever happened, Vault was definitely not looking to be involved with
Mhmm
Also if i remember correctly, there are at least two scars
on her face
One beneath her left eye
and one on her chin
oOO plus, Wasteland Elder looks although he’s frustrated, like he failed. (Mid life crisis in mid life crisis land!)
XD mid life crissssssiiiis
I wonder what caused those scars though
Hmm wondering about that as well
Perhaps Vault elder saw something disastrous at the new area
and try to run away from it before getting those scars
( or scratches since the elder wears a mask )
At the end of vault you see it's in ruins - I think this is present day vault, the vault level is more of a memory of how it used to be
I think so too
also, which side of the new area (in vault) do you think is the “true” entrance? the one you enter from or the tunnel at the end?
The tunnel is like something has dug through
mhmm mhmm
wait, pigeon
didn’t you say something as to what might happen in the new area?
like who could possibly cause those damages ???
hmm what else what else....
( the mural for Wasteland at the Vault Elder’s cutscene kinda makes me curious for some reason... )
hmmmm
it looks like some thing forced its way through the Vault
i guess i have two explanations?

-
Opposing force had multiple people digging through. Kinda mundane but i think it makes sense
-
Ok so, let’s assume the opposing force is the Diamond Shields, which is associated with the fall, and the King. Thus, let’s assume the King overused dark/light tech and weaponised krills, which may??? explain the krill-sized holes
Mostly speculation based on what we’ve already said
hmm perhaps so
guess we have to find out more when the next season/updates comes
don’t even know if winter gonna be next or perhaps new season
👀
Hmmmm now you brought the diamond shaped shield
the fact that the Wasteland elder carries the round shield
but for some reasons with the mural in Vault
has the diamond shaped shield instead of the round
i could be wrong tho
let me double check
yeah me too need to refresh my memories
Oh dang
I was right !
weird (and interesting ) but ok!
hmm the mural might be outdated
but who knows
might have to ask Shira and see if Wasteland Elder’s shield was like that
before the changes of course
hmm
hmmmmmmmm
I know at least, the constellations in the cutscene have undergone a few changes
could be fun to this Wasteland Elder had a rebellion going on or something though
Like teen rebellion or something
“I’ve decided that you’re not my dad”
“I’ll actually fight you”
“DO IT”
ohh and the “sun” symbol right, it kinda resembles the symbol at the start of the opening sequence
when the elders were united
Oh yeahhhhh
Maybe there’s more than one elder and the past one was replaced by this one, idk just an idea
hmm
One of the forest spirits has a bow, what would they be shooting?
And is she Oh-No-ing because she missed, or because she hit something she shouldn't have?
I definitely like the idea of the Spirits hunting the Mantas
I feel like nets would work better for Mantas
One arrow through a wing would bring it down
curious about the purple cape spirit tho
since that the spirit has the bow right ?
where would the arrows be?
like would the spirit produce these glowing arrows out of thin air?
Arrows of light?
or like forgot to bring the carrier that has the arrows
Special bow that can make arrows?
something like that
hmm perhaps so??
though that leads to more questions like, are the spirits really made of light??
Maybe it wasn’t hunting the Mantas then and is actually hunting Whales
I imagine when they were alive they weren’t
mhmm mhmm
She killed the whale in Forest?
Something must of killed it
She meant to shoot a manta and hit the whale instead?
The whale skeleton is inside a crumbling building. There's two options with that. The whale smashed into the building, killing itself and bringing the building down with it, or a dead whale was brought to that final resting spot, to be processed and flensed. (Learned a new word today, flensing )
That's why she goes Oh No!
Or the whale was killed and as it fell it crashed through the building
Did I miss the big "Why's there a giant whale skeleton in the Forest?!" discussion?
I like the idea of a flensing station, (I also like the word flensing) where they would actually stip the light from light creatures
Well there’s the Whale in Caverns so it makes sense that there were more Whales in Forest at some point
Oh. Oh no. Do you think they harvested light from the light creatures? I hadn’t even considered that.
It's seems like the relationship started as mutually beneficial, but turned one sided as the years went on
Oof. That’s a dark thought.
The bells in prairie are designed to call mantas so that they can be slaughtered
Woah woah woah
Oh no
Not that dark😆
I said it before, the more light they trapped/removed/displaced, the more room they left for the darkness to fester
Eden was the spirits’ fault
Fishing used to be a pretty good deal for the fish. "We'll catch all those tasty bigger fish that keep eating all you smaller fish!"
But as time and technology advances....
I wonder if we’ll ever find out for sure what exactly they did? Like if the story will reveal itself as time goes on, or if it’ll forever be up to personal interpretation and speculation.
@zealous sedge a bit of both I expect
We all know already @zealous sedge
We just keeping it a secret from you 😁
I think Prairie shows friendship between the spirits and the Mantas, but the Spirits kept making more things requiring Light, and the Spirits started hunting the Mantas, destroying the Light and bringing Darkness
They basically ran out in forest, which is why forest aunt is so grabby, and why valley is abandoned.
What if dead Mantas equals dark plants?
If a little is good, more is better.
Good start of many a story
And when forest ran out of light it started raining
Maybe. I mean, the whale skeleton in forest does grow an awful lot of dark plant.
And the 2 we save in Forest are close to death
And those mantas we rescue.... they are alive and trapped in growing dark plant...
Darkness is just the absence of light. Remove the light from something, and what do you get?
@mystic moat that makes sense
The Manta that gets Krilled in Wasteland has a dark plant next to it
I think that's just level design 😂
Its spirit goes to vault though
How did that manta even get to be there... I mean of all the places
It’s only the size of the baby space manta too. Poor baby manta.
And because... You know, game design. Gotta have some way to tell the player "Avoid the blue light, it bad"
Thankfully its not us 😆
There’s a fine line between Lore and Game Design
True
The whole game blue = bad motif would of been great! Until you realize people only notice things if they're red.
Blue = Bad, dark plants look blue
They used to be blue?
I like how all conversations here change topic so fluidly
And always cycle back to eden
Spirits are also blue though
until you upgrade them and then they're gold
So I'm not sure that blue=bad, it's more like blue=not great
What if we’ve got the entirely wrong perspective and the Spirits aren’t what we think they are?
True if we're going with a blue=bad theory - dark plants, krill and original eden rocks
Then we could also extend that to spirits are bad - until we have saved them
I think we can all agree the Mantas are our friends, Spirits hunting Mantas is them hunting our friends, how would you feel if that happened irl?
But the mantas also take us to the spirits in orbit
That is true
blue, huh?
I think the 'fallen spirits' are corrupted (like fallen angels) and we are trying to restore them to the stars and restore them to the light
because once the stars are united the light is infinite
I mean, it fits with the theory
Wait, if dead Mantas are the dark plants does that mean the Mantas are made out of wax?
if people still stand beside the theory where people in sky tried to get back to orbit and so on and so forth.. I'd understand the blue theory since it reminds me of something else. Like, these older/other people try to use the resources to get to their goal but they fail and send us, skykids to fix it
I still don't have a grasp on how related spirits/elders and skykids are to each other, welp. Gimme a second.
From what I’ve seen, Elders are worshipped by the inhabitants of the Land, the spirits, and we’re sent to recover the Elders
Bring them back to wherever they were before
I'm not sure, the deep bow in forest is to a guy with a book
''gods''?
not an elder
and were the spirits trying to get back to orbit, or were they busy fighting, killing and pillaging?
slightly surprised they didn't also ruin more than wasteland
that is, if they were fighting and such..
The Wasteland is quite large, especially compared to Prairie
the rain in forest
The broken buildings in citadel
The destroyed vault
oh yeah, oof.
The destroyed builidings in Prairie (birds nest)
We’re cleaning up the Spirits’ mess
that makes me think about us helping others get to orbit but we get kicked out > 'reborn'.
lol
Our bodies die and our spirit inhabits another skykid’s body transforming it into us
for the birds nest we dont know if the towers were destroyed. they could also be in the construction process
No one ever said we’re the same child
good point
didn't eden change our height before?
Exactly
it could indicate that we're always reborn in a different body
I heard the height change was a glitch
it wasnt a glitch
and the resize potion was based on that glitch
It’s not a bug, it’s a feature
Our spirits are still kicked out of orbit though
it was intentional
the resize potion was introduced when the chibu bug made ppl stuck as a chibi
What does this mural mean?
but
That’s the King
we dk who that is so its up to interpretation
okay now it doesn't seem like kicked out, we get help from the spirits [if you've bought some of the wing upgrades] and they give it every time
thats eden
It comes from our friends constellation
actually
yeah thaf mural comes from our fave friends constellation
yeah ginsy
We put our fave friends in eden?
If you look at TGC’s latest livestream you can see concept art of the King and it looks very similar to that of the mural
He's holding some orb
The only other time we see an orb like that is with a forest spirit?
yeah the building in the back looks like the king
Doesn’t an orb also appear inside some spirits?
the angry-stomp spirit in forest holds an orb in their memory
And a spirit in prairie has one too I think
Not sure what he's angry about either
the forest one seem to be doing labour
i always think theyre angry cus theyre working lmao
which is a mood
Lol
So it’s like an essence of light? Or a storage for it?
I just read Hage’s google doc in Pinned and wow, we’re onto something with the dead Mantas = dark plants theory
maybe an essence thats being stored
Yep
a lot of the spirits memories we relieve arent even the spirits we have in our constellation
like for the cry spirit, it shows the stories of them and their friends
Yeah I noticed that too
But also, sorry to change the topic but I’ve been thinking about this
Are krill a corrupted form of a creature of light? Maybe something happened so some of the creatures died/became corrupted and turned into krill, crabs, and even dark plants like pheonix mentioned before
theres a lot of theories on what krills actually are
a lot of people think theyre corrupted creatures while others, including myself, see them more like machines
a lot of people also see resemblance of the guardians (??) in journey and the krills
I’ve never played Journey tbh so
what is this fore ???
@restive quiver For best friends! You can mark friends as favorites so that they appear in the crown constellation, that way you can find them easier when you have lots of friends.
It's also the Eden constellation
That’s in Orbit tho and has nothing to do with friends
I figure it's there because the other constellations are there
Or maybe I'm wrong
Either way, it does not currently have a purpose beyond BFFs (right? As far as I know, anyway.)
I definitely feel like the final piece of the game is missing
Oop wait I juuuust realized I'm in the lore channel
I thought I was over in questions and help
I should stop doing Discord at a million in the morning when I'm so tired
@edgy sleet on home space its about freinds but im asking about why its on Orbit
@restive quiver It's in Orbit because it's the constellation for Eden
If you have questions about eden please ask in #eden-spoilers
But how do you know?
oh
This channel is for lore discussion
Nice pfp Seraph
Thank u Kira made it
I love Sera's pfp Kira made, it's so cute
Why is everyone so talented
I think Panda’s pfp’s the cutest
Anyway back to Sky lore
I feel like an ending’s missing from the game
Like, not dying and being reborn, a proper ending
Where you free all the Elders
I wish there was a thing for that
Yeah, it does feel sorta abrupt. You get to the end and then... then what? What are we accomplishing? Are we helping anyone?
The entire point is for us to save the Elders, but nothing happens when we do? Seems unfinished imo
Maybe they're saving it for a fun thing later, so we have something cool to discover later on even though we've been playing the game a while. Pure speculation there tho
Also if the game did have an ending, then we wouldn't be replaying it?
Would be nice if we could have some closure though. Or some confirmation that we accomplished a thing story-wise, and that continuing to play continues to help the world of sky somehow.
Yes Ascension should have been much more expenisve (say 10 AC to ascend each spirit) and doing so would make some change to their area
yeah there doesnt seem to be a solid ending
I think it is a case of revealing little pieces of story and lore with each expansion, until eventually a true purpose/ending is revealed. I hope that anyway! Like, we are all just playing chapter one of an epic novel.
I didn’t rlly think of it like we are stuck in a cycle of dying, I thought of it like...we are done with the mission of saving the elders now go back to the world to enjoy the game and do side missions like for example, bringing grandmas family back together
yeah
pulled from the stream
elders be eating crab
also, they confirmed that the GW spirit was hunting rather than following a friendly/pet crab
it's sad we couldn't get the hand-to-chin thinking pose
or it could've just been really old, they said it was a storage room, who knows how long the Spirit's civilization lasted for
@sly kestrel that’s what I think of it as too
Where do I watch the livestream, do y’all know?
Bac
What do you think the fallen people were trying to do in Eden to make them all die or something
Prob they also being tasked too but we're more special
Tasked.. hm
Since you can respawn yourself when you died at forest or wasteland
Maybe the fallen were a prototype Skykid and broke at the most important part
I feel like they were trying to get something but then the diamond "activated"? Who even knows what the diamond is
In my opinion, its a souce energy
The diamond is a giant shattered power diamond
objective: steal the diamond
Oh I see
power diamond? Like the ones powering the lift in the vault?
Oh probably
Similar to the ones you light to open doors, or the vault elevator
I remember when intro text
Speaking of Vault, there are some pretty strong hints saying it’s a dream
You think the krill came after they all died? It seems like the krill came into the wasteland after some battle happened and people died
"When the star unite, our light were infinite"
Oh huh
Oh probably
No idea is too "stupid"
Go ahead
go ahead
I'm thinking that Death Stranding is a prequel to this game.
What if there was a war for resources and the krill were just weapons that were developed to destroy “enemies” but they were too strong and were the catalyst to Eden
I dont know why
Honestly
But the game also has dark creature
the krill do seem like a weapon
They seem too mechanical to be anything close to organic based on the stuff we know about the game
because it's weird that they have such an unnatural-looking searchlight, it looks like they duct taped a floodlight on it or something
Yeah
Also in dis game when the game detect you hear music, it gives you headset
They also maneuver on a set path like it's coded into their minds
And the headset looks techy
Exactly
Since they're all moving in a type of route/circle
One of the translated concepts said that the power diamonds are the cause of their downfall
"their"?
All creatures have a moving route
Yea
Well I mean it just seems too robotic
Could just be game design
Imma head out now
With the krill it seems almost too purposeful tho, you know
Yeah I think so
Even their sound is inorganic
Alright, goodbye Xen
Bye
See ya Xen!
Goodbye Heigh. Goodbye Pyro
I don't think it's all that inorganic, EXCEPT for the creaking type noise they make
that's a little odd
Well they are dark creatures
Yeah true
Their initial sound when discovering a sky kid sounds like a bunch of metal clanking together to me
I dunno, sounds more like a guttural growling to me
ROAR
Idk about you but I’m disliking the krill are machines theory
GRRR R R R R R R R R R R R R R R R R R
I think they were trying to make that dark, eerie, evil creature kind of vibe
It just doesn’t seem right
I'm not saying they're machines
they definitely seem like living creatures
it's just like they don't think for themselves
Yeah
The sky kids seem to be engineered to some degree and they’re not machines
They're like..
Beta krill design was a lot more organic
a bioweapon, the krill
Idk if they maintained that
I can send you a pic if I can find it again
Oh ok! thank you, I would like that
I mean, krills are really similar to the guardians in journey so maybe they jus tried to do that
But the krill feel too unnatural for them to be truly organic, something created them, and if the crystals were their downfall and there’s evidence of some battle I think it’s ultimately a resource war
It was probably a resource war but I think the krill were some pawn in said war
But I don’t know that much lore so I’m probably wrong
What features do u see that makes them not truly organic
Yeah I agree with that
like used to kill spies trying to sneak to the other side?
Krills are the Mantas of Darkness imo
Hm
I guess the mechanical opinion is subjective idk how to explain it
Maybe they were initially neutral but were sort of "trained" by whatever party was associated with them
tamed maybe
tamed/conditioned?
Krill rider lore 👀
But their movement especially after they give up searching for a sky kid, it’s robotic, the move piece by piece, real krill do not do that
Even if they were used in the battle
Have u ever noticed that the battlefield has no bones of any kind
Inaccessible evil spirits?
Krill especially
Well my thought is that they're by no means inorganic
who knows what they're made of
soy sauce
True
melting frozen block of soy sauce
I think it’s a combination of the two
Well that’s just a game mechanic, they can’t code a free movement
I mean yeah but the mantas don't
A free movement code would be horrifying
NO
I don’t mean the searching animation
All creatures have a moving cycle
Unpredictable krill
I mean when they’re up like this
It’s called game design
KRILL VENTURES OFF TO GW ELDER ROOM
their directional light looks so artificial to me
“Several people are typing...” 😂😂
And then the have to transition into their regular horizontal search position
Love it
But I mean, Heighleigh cats poise themselves similarly when getting ready to pounce and that's not robotic
they're animals, I think
“I think”
But they way they go back
Well I dunno
That’s what I mean specifically
they ain't robots but it's not like they're actual krill
It’s hard to explain without a video
Well honestly
What makes u think that
to avoid confusion would it be better to call them dark dragons?
I know it’s vague information but they “feed” off of light like said in a daily hint. Feeding is kinda a biological thing but it could be fuel I guess too
They were originally mentioned as krills
I mean I get what you mean @jolly shuttle
In early versions
Originally mentioned as krill > changed to dark dragons > community refers them as krill still
Oooh
But they just really don't seem like robots, there's still organic movement there
But idk something made the devs wanna be like “yk what let’s call them dark dragons”
What I’m trying to say is that there’s bits of their behavior that were purposely added to make them more intimidating and generally those bits come off as robotic to me
I’ve never heard anyone ingame or here call them dark dragons
Hmm
Like a sky snake cyborg thingy
Dark dragon fits the theme more
yeah
I prefer that name, I just say krill because it's less letters
and also saying "getting krilled" is amazing
Yeah
And ik it seems like they have robotic movement and it’s not natural but all creatures have a cycled movement. And the thing they do when they bend their back and stuff......well it’s how they can maneuver to their original spot, it’s not easy coding and making a smooth animation
Yeah honestly I think i'm with jay on that one
I’d disagree with dark dragon fitting more as we have floating octopus/manta ray creatures everywhere
it's probably game design
Nuh uh
how do you figure that?
Idk
But I dunno, it just sounds more intimidating
U say that it’s not natural for krills to be like this but it’s also not natural for a manta ray to fly
Imma stick with my theory
like THE DARK DRAGON instead of krill
I dunno about that
we should keep an open mind about this whole thing
Krill is simpler and underestimates their horrifyingness to moths lol
BEWARE THE DARK DRAGON
Instead of BEWARE THE KRILL
People are gonna be like “psh I ain’t scared of a shrimp”
I miss whales
like rip krill, just lasso a whale and let em wreak havoc
? wym
they're still in there?
just one instance is harder to get to
My brother had one theory that maybe sky whales eat krill lmao
lmao
But you think the krill seek the wasteland and eden because the whales stay in places of light ie valley and forest?
Prolly why the whale is seen at the gw Homespace, he/she hungry for krill
Yeah but how is it gonna survive that storm, that's why I mentioned that
I believe that the dark creatures lost a war and became confined to a small area
I think so yeah
You can see it jumping around the storm
Hence graveyard
The whale went straight to orbit without any struggle
????
god bless that whale chilling in the storm
Okay Imma head out, I'm super tired and need to give my eyes a break from screens lmao
see you guys, I'll be back later
I rode it at orbit too it was fun 😁
Now I’m confusing Eden’s storm with the storm in GW
Bye bye
Goodnight Cola
See ya Cola!
Gw isn’t really a storm it’s just a vortex
I love the way valley kinda dumps you into gw
HAHAHAHHA have a HAPPY RACEY PLACE!! pllblblblb Welcome to Golden Wastelands !! <<3
Yupp 😂
I was confused at first I was like .....where...where am I it seems so eerie and dark.
I went above the wasteland social on my first go
As Journey Vet herself I said, “Ah crud, here we go again”
A race place leading into a spooky dark one? Ya
Yeah Journey Vet
back btw
But I absolutely love that
I think I mentioned it to a friend, like "Race with friends and forge candles together as you slide down a hill with lovely mantas and birds while people cheer you on? You had fun? Awesome! Now navigate this hellfield with lumbering beings of darkness seeking you out so they can kill you."
fear—
Spook
Back to the livestream topic,
We can see from the art that spirit(s) and krill were there at the same time.
In game, we see the wasteland seasonal spirit seemingly hiding from something.
he could also be sneaking up on the crab
He does not seem to be looking at the crab here but I don't have better screenshots
seems like hes going for the crab to me if the crab was included in the spirit thing
But yeah I cannot be 100% sure he's actually hiding so Im editing my post to "seemingly hiding"
using this screenshot taken by @white merlin comparing their skykid (who's at the minimum non-chibi height) to the Leonardo module on the ISS and the height chart with the creator unknown, I've calculated the heights of Skykids, and it's pretty dang scary.
O h
@white anvil he was hunting for the crab and that was confirmed in the livestream.
ah
i feel like he's sneaking up in order to catch the crab in the earlier pic though
I thought the crab was just his companion running away from him like he’a had enough of him
wouldn't be surprised if it's not intentional/canon, and technically the office area isn't canon anyway but this is the closest thing we have rn and oh god
but i do think the krills existed at that time
here he is apparently running from something
I’d assume it’d be a krill
for example you have the office being big compared to skykids
unless TGC staff are actually giants
At first I thought he was running from angry crab but yeah krill makes more sense
the elders put gru to shame
TGC staff are the elders confirmed
whoever made the space area has created a monster
Which space area ?
irl space, where you can visit the ISS
confused but oka y-
y'know, where you can visit space in office?
the Leonardo module is 22' long
look, we get desperate when there's no explicit info given or irl object to compare against
But the office is so disconnected from the actual game it’s not a good thing to base things off!
Why not use the thanksgiving image
Thanksgiving image?
and of course it'snot a good actual measuring tool, it makes them be giants when they're tiny in the regular office
the problem with art that's not in-game screenshots or official reference sheets is that the scales may not necessarily be official or at all intended for it, it's probably just as inaccurate as me trying to use the ISS
But this image is an officially drawn image based on things in game
plus if that were true scale and an irl turkey, the skykids should appear even smaller in the office
Think about how every creature in the game is large, even the butterflies
The office doesn’t count
Officially-drawn, but not official canon, that's the issue
But it was drawn based on canon
it itself isn't necessarily the canon, it's promotional material
i mean
not to mention drawing art alone can fudge scales at times, especially when we don't know what in-game heights those skykids could be
there are plenty of games where the heights of characters are just wack
these kids can be 3' tall on chibi mode, or 3" tall
really we'd need an official height statement from the devs or some new canonical object in the game itself that can be used for accurate scaling
But in game every living creature is larger than it would be irl
So the image was drawn with that in mind as well
The office is an Easter egg and nothing in there can be used as canon
then that makes the art even less useful for scaling since the turkey isn't at irl height itself
you just did
I mean the creatures in game are larger than they would be irl, bc you’re thinking that the sky kids are human sizes
But if the in game creature are the roughly the same size as irl, sky kids would be very tiny
Like implied in the artwork
I’ve always thought sky kids would be 2 inches
The best way we could get a height at this point is by having a dev answer a question about the skykid's heights
They’d never tell us that straight up lol
we can dang well try
But from what we have seen in game and can piece together from what the devs tell us
Sky kids and ancestors are not the same
of course
Ancestors are much larger than sky kids so their creatures and buildings are much larger than the sky kids
So that means in whatever scale that there is in game and based on other artwork from them
Sky kids are Smol
Smol beans
though in terms of attempting to scale things using in-game objects, probably the best thing available is the office room as opposed to the ISS
While scales made from it would need to be taken with a grain of salt, the smaller size of the skykids the the rest of the place is absolutely significant enough to be very intentional, and could make for a more feasible ruler that could be seen as the height scale until otherwise proven wrong
Well sky kids are kids so the office was scaled to be the size of an average 5 year old or smth
When they had the Halloween event and they used sky kid models for the devs they were much much larger than sky kids
I still don’t think we should use the office for a height scale because then you’d have to use other office things for lore stuff
they don't appear to go through physical forms of growth though, always starting out at a specific height and never changing without using potions, which makes sense considering they're not organic at all
they're nicknamed skykids because they're gosh dang adorable and smol, not due to any 'physical age'
"children of" implies lineage, not age.
Someone's daughter is still the child of their parents no matter how old they are.
using a place as a scale doesn't always necessarily mean you need to keep other parts of that area canon as well, depending heavily on the context, like how intentional the skykid scaling feels in the area
again, it wouldn't be any kind of exact or canon height, but an office-made scale would be the closest we could get until we get something truly canon like an explicit statement
Sorry to interrupt but if anyone interested with the Japanese Sky Livestream
Here you go!
also as for the height thingy
I think the height doesn’t really matter since it’ll mostly be out of scale, either for dramatic purposes or just time issues
I know but imagine seeing a like 50 foot krill coming towards you
Because that’s basically how big they are
I'll hug the giant boye
One more thing about the livestream, I was surprised to know that the symbol of this season only happened to resemble the symbol on our chest!
(And I noticed Jiisama got their question answered!! Congrats!
)
yay!
I thought it was intentional
inb4 sky:CotL VR or AR game
i think thats more something for #eden-spoilers, isnt it?
aight
yup you can talk about the king here ~
honestly idk whats the deal with it
and im the usual lorekeeper in games...
maybe the king just brought the kingdoms down?
Oh dear
so like, i keep thinking about wasteland and it being a metaphor for midlife
i kinda think that you dont really go alone there. like, you sometimes go solo on all the other levels up to valley, but in wasteland, even when theres solo opportunities, you just cant
keep in mind these sizes are basically a meme since the ISS is nowhere near canon and things like promotional art and our scales in the office present us as small, so don't consider those as the actual heights
If you technically calculated the height of the skykid, it’s technically possible to measure a krill
this means nothing since its just left over beta stuff but i thought it was neat
the thumbnail though
suspic
ans bring out the candle pic. why did u delete
hdjdkso you can’t just call me out like that
when you took your candle out it lit mine and then i went back to a normal albeit capeless sky kid
oooo
that's why
theres another adult spirit manta/whale in vault and theres two huge ribs in this area
so theres two bigs and two smalls
Does anyone else sometimes wonder if there’s a meaning behind some of the seemingly abstract constellation markings on the ground, like the ones on the top of the stairs in Isle and on the round stone slab on the ground in the caves of Prairie?
the ones in Prairies were old minigames from beta that was never really removed
hence why when i sat on the cave one it played a jingle
the constellation on isle is probably just a butterfly constellation
i wasnt in beta but its something about summoning a light animal
you were able to summon a turtle on one of the stone slabs
Ooo
I think the turtle had something to do with this shard collecting quest that randomly pops up in the caves as well
oh??
Eden is an energy experiment that created a black hole
