Sorry I was ending my turn at my job
Then what is the actual theme?
Theme?
Idk maybe I do a bad translation on my brain
That's alright
I'm thinking on the idea of partial works for skykids as alternative to the candleruns idk, like work on a mine, or collecting materials for the village or like that? Maybe on the Cafe or on the store
Maybe season or get a job xd
Season of the children yearn for the mines
Well the houses don't build themselves XD, you still need stone to them
Yeah maybe actually during quests we will work as they did since we’re playing as a living person at the time
We sold toys at the marketplace and traded so
And I think the game can be more fun with some mini games of job than just depends of CR to get candles, idk, work on the different jobs the civilization need and at same time that make use interact with other players as a work partners can be good for the friendship message
And we can keep rebuilding the village and civilization
I'd love more delivery style tasks :v
Like maybe transport some materials from forest to village or maybe use more island to transport food or things to spirits who are there
Idk task who works like you moving between realms can be fun
Imagine skykids get sent to deliver something through dangerous areas.
Oh wait, that is the weekly Eden run, lol
That's our main job, that doesn't count
Let me give the elders mail in orbit nyehehe >:D
I wonder....
If the ancestor spirits are somehow aware that they are dead, and that they can interact with us skykids.
Why have they not tried praying at the temples, or asking about the elders?
Are they somehow aware of what happened to the Elders. And if so, why not let us skykids know?
If the Elders somehow knew us skykids are able to reach them, why have they not asked about their realms?
Why has neither side not tried to reach out to the other???
I am shocked that I have not thought about that in the 4 years of playing and researching Sky.
That and stubbornly being up at 2am while at it
I alway assumed that that lighting them freed then from their husks and we had to guide them to the temple. Once done they are free to do whatever.
Unsure about Elders but those guys are just always at orbit . Wish we could interact or get more information on what they thought about the situation. :v
True, but nothing else happens in terms of story telling.
It is a legitimate plothole that sat in the game unresolved for so long, it might implode and become a black hole at this rate.
One of the things that keep me up espically considering the Nesting guide quest implies she hasn't seen Teth in ages and misses her.
Maybe we need mail Cristal memories of spirits to orbit for the elders
Vault elder especially based on their behaviour in the two embers animation.
If they were concerned with the care of the ancestors, why did they not even try reaching out to the ancestors?
It feels like that the elders have been overlooked for years and not even when the player completes the constellations would the game reward them with a conclusion to that unresolved thread fraying from the fabric of the story.
That and even the Flight guide that used to be the apprentice for Day elder. ☝️
Mhm
Dear Lamed,
I am not spending 70 hearts for a white cape, I know tuition for schools there was pricey before the apocalypse but why is that my problem 500 years later
Yours NOT truly, ayngarp
The Elders are way too elusive because you only see them in temple cutscenes and at orbit IF you complete a constellation.
If we were ever given a chance to ask the Elders a question.
Mine would have been a resounding WHY!!?
Just, why... lol
Yeah but its like mailing a senator and expecting something back
People in power didnt actually care i dont think otherwise Teth might have tried to stop Resh with the excessive darkstone pandering
I want Teth Resh and Lamed to infodump about technology to me thats pretty much it lol. I don't care if they are "busy" its my bedtime story for the night and it will last two hours if not more if they get one detail wrong or skip sonething.
I personally want Teth and Lamed to apologize for calling my hands ugly in a dream I had several years ago
They get a lore drop in prophecy, and nothing happens.
We learn that they were blown to kingdom come in Shattering, and still nothing.
Aurora showed how ancestors prayed and fought in their name.
Performance gave hints at them in their stories.
We now see them in the animations, and yet the ingame interactions with them remains mostly unchanged since the international release of the game 💀
The rest of the game has gotten updates that added new chapters to the story. And yet the elders themselves (and the end game by extension) are overdue for an update.
It awfully sounds like me complaining. It is more so an observation that there is most likely something vital to the story yet to be untold by these characters.
I also want Tsadi and Teth to apologize for going through my laptop in another dream I had around the same time as well
I want Teth to apologize for existing she makes me nervous
FYI
I know just Vault and King were confirmed in the animation.
I hope to see the rest of the elders as well in HD
Wait hold up in theyll be in the same scene?? I looked up in the lore chat and there was a still of them in one scene is that canon for TTE
I wholeheartedly agree and I do hope they show up in TTE as well.
Oh man bird raider your message got beaned
If she makes you nervous now I wonder how early concept art of her made you feel
(really bot -_- )
Ok, here is a baby-version of what I wrote.
I hope the tippity tappity machine did not get crushed by a hammer, or poked with a spear.
(still.. really bot? You are that afraid of 🍢 ??)
Oh ive seen that. Ive seen that alright
Why did she vogue like a jojos character
I guess the bot is afraid of food on stick jokes....
If Alef failed a trial the first time shed use it on his ps4
Quick, let's start a new movement
Peas on a stick. It will attract and scare off the bot at the same time /j
Lol that did nothing
Skybot was so active earlier too
Sometimes it's difficult write anything for a theory because the bot looks pretty sensitive
You tried write a stinky thing?
yup. That is literally dumb. But whatever.
Now I know what got the bot to snipe that.
And that was much easier to figure out than beg the mods, ngl.
Happens
not even that.
I wrote shikabob and auto correct added a space. And the bot did not like that.
(I see it was supposed to be spelled shishkabob too. So, the more you know, lol)
I think a mod can be better than a bot for a lore chat
: how did the first trial go
Alef: uhhhhhhhh..,,,, I fell off the platform…
: …. 🪨 🔨
Alef: NOOOOOOOO MY DARKSTONE!!!1!
Maybe, but then again. They dont get paid enough to read through all of our shenanigans 24/7
Also is this true?
They really need be paid to read us, can be the best work ever, with 2 or 3 mod with turns of 8 hours it can works
I haven't seen any pics of them in the same shot
That was in a teaser before the first episode got released, I think?
And yes, it is confirmed that vault elder was with the king in person.
Which nicely explains how they knew about the King in the game.
It may also give hints on their relationship.
Possibly an advisor for the king? That is my guess.
Oh you mean that...
Shes too chaste for that
Wdym?
Did you mean a different relationship

What?!!?? I was talking about tje photos since I didn't know what you meant until Raider explained. Where is your mind right now xD
Love?
OH RHANK GOD
My mind is fried i had a long day at work
Resh is incapable of that plus that can get into territory not allowed on this server
(Am looking for the clip. It was the one that showed a close up of the king's hand. That is the scene if I am not mistaken)
Grabby hands gimme
Lemme go find the message i saw someone post a still of them together
Really? I never spare that
#lore-discussion-spoilers message
is this canon
Oh yeah @nimble ingot it did have the hand close up i think youre right
Oh i have seen that im dumb lol, def wasn't shown much on this server.
FOUND IT!

Spoilers so those who want to see the Two Embers episode first.
Elder: my king
King: what you need?
Elder: [insert text]
Zoom to the face of king
It's the think I think XD
PEAK FICTION
Also not me trying to figure out what the motif is playing in the two embers animations.
The notes almost makes me think of the Eden them. Which is eerily similar to the dies irea music motif (a reference to death and judgement)
But there are notes that lighten the tone. Which makes me think it is trying to say that the tone is not yet on the death motif. Almost like it is being hopeful.
But I have way too little knowledge on music to truly decipher that.
What the- that trailer shows everything 😭
Yeah so i skipped only the part where lamed was there so i wouldnt get spoiled lmao
Ill wait for peak fiction weekly
Its shows so much so im glad you did that like omg
We still don't having much idea about the krills can be the weapon of the king or the enemy with the info of the trailer, kills just fight with soldiers
Theyre not a weapon theyre an unfortunate byproduct
Agreed.
They are corrupted Dragons.
Dragons tend to be super protective, if not territorial, creatures.
The Dark Dragons seemingly kept that trait, but hunger for light like a zombie.
Zombie is a funny comparison—decent one but funny
(Welp, it is almost 3 am and I am gonna crash into my bed. Have fun lorechat. And may your theories always be interesting. ❤️ )
A time ago we talk about krills as weapons of king but I like more the idea of zombies, but how look a normal dragon? We never meet or see a pure dragon
(also before the bot preaches about sleep times too)
Nobody said they were weapons for the king :/
It berated me for being a vet once
I remember read it some hours ago, or something like that
People were stating they weren't, you might have misread it.
Alright i too need to dip to lift
ill be back probably later
Maybe I need a rest of this chat, see ya
Aaaah I need to trim this video down a lot. I don't know if the token I found was really meant to do anything, only 3-4 NPCs reacted oddly and the guards didn't take it away when I tried to get their attention... to be fair I hit the wrong emote ><
I really hope that there is something to it though. It seems like the people I was nearby were also putting sand in their hair. Not sure if it was sand but looked like it...
It could explain that their economy at that point was a load of crap
(Yes i said id be gone but im on a treadmill so i can talk)
ok I clipped the interactions that seemed maybe relevant to the item that I found, and several of those didn't react at all to it.
#promote-your-sky-content message
I need to try this in game ngl wow
Please let me know if you get a similar reaction! I plan on posting all my in bounds exploration and recordings when I can.
I did also kinda almost pants a guard today though so... I did some jail time ^^U
Yeah ill post it here and on #screenshots-and-videos so that anyone can see
I can't post videos on Discord
Prolly cus too big
It throws a tantrum and asks you to get nitro to send bigger videos
yeah I am not doing that... I will post youtube shorts or short videos but I don't want to pay for nitro
Which begs the question, what did they look like as creatures of light?
Probably something whale-adjacent or similar thing
I feel like it'd kinda be its own thing but I see that too!
Yes i agree
I found this that a girl named Cara Kelley drew
Sounds about right
It's kinda its own thing but also kinda base off a whale so both our theories are used :3
Sorry for the late answer, but I think the confusion comes from the fact that in english, they/them is used for both unknown gender and nonbinary. The names are also presented without a gender, at least for most spirits. So I think it's easy to use the occam's razor and assume "if they're portrayed without a gender and named without a gender, then they're without a gender". I don't have a personal stake in this argument, this is just my observation.
Anyways, I've noticed for the soundtrack, that the old trailer music doesn't appear in the Two Embers soundtrack for part 1. That makes me think it'll appear for part 2.
Noice
https://youtu.be/UmN-WmUBRyU?si=PbcKxergNV27T7DG
This music sounds like it'll be in part 2 almost
Guys we found a cool bug during the interviews
one of the Moomin's characters wanted to talk
Ill share a rec here and on bugs later
Did anyone also saw it?
I personally have different genders for different spirits based off the vibes they give me but some of them remain to be genderless because I can't pin them for male or female
Like the sanctuary guide seems like a jolly retired old man lol
I see a lady lol
And my first impression of the toy maker is male so yeah I guess its all about perspective
. Well, what do you think guys? Is one of theory stands?
I'm confused on why you said that we guys are "so so elite" in lore-?
Well, in terms of spirit knowledge and the areas you guys would have explored, I said that
Also I'm having trouble understanding your wording for the theory you had could you rephrase it? (I'm not trying to be difficult I'm just a bit slow lol)
So in simple terms
Cattle suppress, people depress, they oppress , darkness arise, kingdom collapse
By cattle suppress, I meant the beings(those dolphins) being domesticated on worse terms, leading them to revolt along with people
And thus, the civil war in Golden wasteland takes place
Cuz we never know whom the soldiers fought against, atleast as far as I know
Yeah I see what you're talking about. (Also those are manatees if you need the name!
)
Currently we don't know what the soldiers fought against as we are not that far in the story of the season yet
Yeah, but for me, the aurora song confirmed that it IS a civil war. Because, if you noted closely, those poor people fought and lost to the soldiers, some RAN ALONGSIDE THE KRILL BRUH?? Like dayum, it must be a civil war or smth since for another war, we need another kingdom, which never even exist as Eden seems to win all the kingdoms around it
Also, the aurora song lines kinda tells the suffering of ppl cuz before going to wasteland, it showed the suffering of ppl. Valley of triumph stands best example of animal torture as they literally "hunted" down those mantas. That was the breaking point for ppl as it's portrayed as realm order
Which concert are we talking about because I only went to the homecoming concert thing after the season of Aurora was over
Also, the 6 elders seem to be on equal terms, but realm has a... order? So, from farthest to nearest of effect we seeing
And man, all concerts are same tbh, just extra 3,4 scenes added, that's it
Yeah civil war between Sun/Light vs Diamond/Ember
You can see the symbols for both
one is clearly the Sun and the other is the King's symbol.
I also mentioned Ember due to a reference from the Art Gallery
Oh
Ember = name given to diamonds in art
Well wait, if it's two different kingdom, then how it's a civil war??
No different kingdoms, one kingdom, 2 factions, 2 parties, 2 sides, 2 philosophies, etc
WAIT WHEN THEY RELEASED IT?? MAN I AM MISSING TOO MUCH...
Also, I'm confused with the 3rd event ticket requirement or whatever you call it, and it said to watch or be there for embers part 1
There will be a screening to show the "movie" of the two embers chapter 1! You have to go watch it in order to get your tickets!
Go to today's event!
Its on the gallery
Bottom part, near the river
my hcs abt who was on which side
PRO-EDEN
Valley
Eden (ofc)
Forest (formerly)
Vault
ANTI-EDEN
Forest
Wasteland
Prairie
Isle
LORE CHAT REVIVED WHEN IM BACK AGAIN
Hello guys for the 1000000x time
Exactly me fr
Makes sense
But we wont know until we watch the rest
but there are def two factions, even before Aurora it could be seen on Wasteland, right at the temple's entrance you can see it on the shields
Yeah this is it
There were some resh darkstone supporters (diamond probably) and free light supporters (sun) long after the industrial revolution
I would also like to think it ended in a revolt because i hate Resh so much
/j
I wonder if the war was contained mostly to Valley, Wasteland, Vault, and Eden. By that time, I think the earlier realms would've become desolate
when they call it "the Last City" I have to wonder which realms were the first to fall to the darkness. like where is the void spreading from?
I would have thought any epicenter would have been Eden itself
In the intro blurb of episode 1. They also call it the Ruler's City
First city to fall is the Eden kingdom, as it made it's "nest" right there
@ashen fractal where was that token you stole? Im trying to find it
Idk if I get right but, the idea/principle both upheld were,
Eden: Energy is to use, exploit and grow the standards of them
I think the tokens gone ngl 😭
My survey today said “melt darkstone” instead of anything about plants or lighting things. Probably just an error in the word choice, but man, I’m rethinking all the physics now

Honestly elite is a bit weird word to use in this context
This makes me think if there could’ve been any ancestors that survived past the initial fallout and lived to see year 1 after
Also do we know if the ancestors aged like us like how old was Alef/Resh and how long did the unified sky kingdom exist, I like to imagine it existed for about 200 years before the fallout the non unified kingdom(s) having been founded 300 years prior to that, which means a lot of spirits would’ve lived and died under different circumstances
Here’s a theoretical timeline of events if ancestors lived longer than us
Maybe ancestors lifespan was longer in the past than it was during the reign of Resh cause if we’re thinking realistically for an empire that large it would’ve taken at least 150 years to be fully built and formed otherwise Resh wouldn’t have really done much of anything to the kingdom of sky since it would’ve already had its buildings, infrastructure and a lot of that infrastructure uses power diamonds so realistically he wouldn’t have lived the average lifespan of a human but she’d have lived much longer if they were responsible for much of the infrastructure
So Alef came 700 years ago and unified the kingdom 650 years ago
So basically when Alef came the kingdom of sky had already existed already for 300 years and he was the downfall as Resh 200 years later which would’ve been 20 or so human generations (less if their lifespan was longer than ours) of Ancestors we likely interact with but very few are from the time before Resh
And it also just fits so well with the fact that it has been 500 years since shattering and the kingdom of sky existed 500 years before shattering
And I’m being very generous with 500 years from Elders coming down to the shattering event but we don’t really know how long ancestors lived it’s not like they recorded the years of their history
I love Ur theories it's really entertaining
Making it a nice 1000 years since the kingdom of sky was first founded till present day
I think I’m cooking with that theory
Like
1000 years ago the elders came to be and were sent down to guide the existing ancestors that lived in those ancient times… then 500 years later the great doom of the ancestral population happened, we know not if there were any survivors but what we do know it happened mainly due to the king that came some time prior to that point. It led to 500 years of constant quakes but some parts of the kingdom thrived without the influence of the ancestors but others didn’t and the spirits of the ancestors were stuck… that leads to our kind coming about 6 years ago to help lead the ancestors back and restore some long forgotten places to their former glory 500 years after the great doomsday
That makes me think about the ancestors that lived prior to the elders and if we’ll ever see them after the two embers is done
Like I’d love to see the unga bunga cavemen ancestors but the ancestors prior to Resh completely probably all ascended properly so it’s not like we’d have to see them since they wouldn’t have needed our help but the spirits right before Resh came (like the three regular ones in isles) and after are the ones that genuinely need help since the ones that didn’t live to see Resh likely all ascended properly
I hadn’t thought of that before but it would make sense why we don’t see any spirits prior to Resh because they would’ve ascended properly and not really had anything to do with all the destruction that happened
Like the oldest spirits are the isles regulars because they saw Alef when she came down and the others came after him
Also it would mirror real life since the Industrial Revolution started 150 ish years ago
I know I’m a yapper
And thank you but I just thought about this and I had to share because I think it’ll make good conversation and it makes sense and feels lovely to say that if we came 500 years after the fall that the complete beginning came 500 years before that
Like currently we have us the skykids
500 years ago the great kingdom of sky fell
500 years ago before that the kingdom was formed
500 years ago prior the first ancestors came to be
And 500 years ago the first light creatures appeared
500 years ago the land was created
And finally 500 years before that the candle which created the Megabird was lit
Which would make the world 3000 years old and it would correlate with the 6 main worlds
Like when the mega bird was first formed, I guess it would correlate with Isle of Dawn, and then when the land was created, that would correlate with the prairie and when the first light creatures appeared, it would correlate with the forest, which makes sense. It’s a forest, which would have a lot of creatures in it, and then the valley, which has a lot of buildings that survived would correlate with when the first ancestors arrived. Then with the golden wasteland, it would perfectly correlate to when the kingdom was formed, and then vault would correlate to when most everything died
And Eden would correlate with our existence
If I recall, it was once said the kingdom's timeline of civilisation goes so far back that the more close to recent ancestors were learning/studying languages from those earlier times
Could be but again we don’t exactly know how the ancestors counted years because for all we know they could’ve counted 500 years how we count 1000 years
Like their calendar could’ve and probably was completely different from ours
If the kingdom is so old, it is known around what time the elders and alef/resh appeared?
Not exactly but I think 1000 years ago (in Sky years I guess) would be good for the elders and it would be satisfying for years
And 1000 years could be so much longer or shorter depending on if ancestors counted years in a fixed configuration, seasonally, Lunisolar, Solar or lunar
And we don’t know how many days it took for the sun to travel around the earth of sky
If they shortened years or lengthened them
So my hypothetical is based on if they had longer lifespans and longer years
Time is relative and it hurts my brain
Not later than 500 years ago
Me having studied general relativity:
I didn't steal it honest! Also in the video it was behind a tent in the market.
A friend of mine found it in the same place yesterday. I'm wondering if it was a bug or actually supposed to be in a different spot.
I might check that in a few minutes, would've hours ago but I went to bed. :v
so its actually orange juice /j
Orange juice in a kettle sounds atrocious
i have hot cocoa cup there instead lol
with marshmallows even!
I plan on recording the first quest again so I'll see if I can find it
If it was during the quest it was def a bug then.
alternative is turmeric milk tea but where they got the milk?
it is also called golden milk
Could be other forms of milk like almond milk ig lol
turmeric milk with almold milk sounds awful
Just a thought, I've never seen or heard of turmeric milk until you brought it up.
i like coconut milk but i once tried to make coffee with almold milk instead and me no likey
I actually prefer it with my coffee but that's valid. I can't stand regular milk though.
It wasn't. This was a day after I did the quest and both me and another person found it spearmint.
i personally use turmeric in face masks rather in food
but the golden milk is not bad either, it has lot of health benefits and I can see it being used by ancestors as medicine, it is rich in antioxidants
Found the coin lol
its milk, turmeric, honey and cinnamon
Oh where is it this time?
im lactose intolerant but that doesnt stop me from consuming it
Second tent from the market entrance :v #screenshots-and-videos message
oh yeah thats where i found the choccy milk (but in oob)
However the toymaker is currently here and has the toys out so maybe the coin gets tp'd over after the quest, that's just my perspective on it since certain objects get moved after a set time or a task is completed. Stuff never really gets taken out from the game or further OOBs sometimes bc of issues. Still Im glad you can mess with a coin afterwards.
The amount of people I know who are lactose intolerant but that not stopping them over a delicious glass of milk is a given to me lol.
I need to go back and see if that NPC had the same reaction without the coin
Which NPC was it?
Um... hold on I have to get screencaps from my video ><
But I did put the clip up on youtube so people could see the few that did
Take your time, I just want to see for myself.
This is the video of me finding the coin if it helps. The interactions I think are 2 minutes in, it's only 4 ish minutes long:
#promote-your-sky-content message
The only reason it's that long is because I attempted other npcs to see if it triggered anything
OMG no wonder you would see that. I love these NPCs but sometimes they are not optimized around the game that well and very wonky. NPCs have idle animations, a lot of them are done randomly and sometimes use the "negative" reactions from emotes they don't like you doing. It's a trigger, however the idle animations aren't dependant on the player so it've looked like the NPC was upset at you.
I also tried going to some stalls and NPCs but got no reaction.
Oh ok! I was confusing because I didn't make any emotes near those NPCs (as seem in the video) and they just started acting annoyed
Yeah the annoyed reactions when idle is a tad odd, if you stand near them sometimes they will just react with anything when they don't have a set pathing. Once had a kid npc do the evil laugh emote near me when I didn't prompt it.
Also 3 people did it in a row I was like
LOL that makes me wonder if you can get like 5 doing the same emote, hit the NPC idle animation lottery /j
Like in the video 2 scolded me at once
mhm
Just did one of the new quests they added and I'm glad that the Tranquil Garden is being used beyond a relaxation spot. However I can not help but think about how it reminds me of home and how these islands just suddenly appear over Sky's course of history during the Sky Kid era. Especially since most of the kingdom is in the air, minus certain areas like Sanctuary Islands are depicted on a ocean. Is the kingdom over a body of water and we just don't know or is the home and garden another area entirely?
So I back read a bit and saw turmeric milk come up
It's a cure for the common cold in India
Wonder if the spirits tried to use it to cure the darkness sickness
Oh that's a neat tidbit
Ah yeah im brown and ive seen this before
In my personal opinion its mid though
What's the lore behind have dark plants in realms
yummmm
Welcome to the 100% Prairie gang, we got weird wig and shield (totally different from Dawn's)
ayin orbit photos tommorow
I got that mask recently and love it! I forget if I recorded it, I hope I did
plants grow
to some people (me), they resemble flytraps
and it kinda fits cuz there's butterflies inside
That makes so much sense, I never thought about them being flytraps
flytraps also look cool
and eat cool
They're def a carnivorous invasive plant, reminds me kudzu the way they grow sometimes (mainly the dye ones).
To me i think that they either naturally coexisted with light organisms (with light there is always darkness etc) or they were originally light organisms but the king exploited their light
Could be both actually
considering they grow to this day they might be mutants (like krill) due to the deposits(?) of darkness in the soil
but i like to think they always existed just that there wasn't as many
I feel like the wildlife and fauna of Sky is way too underutilized to make heads or tails of it. I'm glad krills and some of the other stuff gets some answers though. :v
Yeah ever since industrialization they just increased in number i think
Wasn’t one of the stated reasons they scaled it back was cause older devices would lag?
Which ones?
The wildlife and creatures in the game. They had a ton more concepts and ideas.
Yeah i mean too much of those could lag the game lmao
Still wonder how much of that could be fixed with more culling
Probably yeah, they did have a lot of concept for creatures however I haven't seen the statement.
Also when I said they underutilized I didn't mean for them to just put creatures and plants everywhere, I just mean the information we know is too few.
I recall seeing it in the dev commentary stuff that plays at the theatre
this is very out of context and mostly just an observation; the most interesting realm to me is the valley, which imo was kept the most intact out of the realms? we can clearly see how people used to live, did as hobbies or past times, we can see how their culture evolved (theatre, ice skating!)
it feels very alive for a place where nobody lives there anymore
You can also literally hear the ghosts of the audience cheering
I always assumed it was because they were like close to Eden like GW and because the altitidue is higher compared to the other, making them closer to the sun? Both Vault and Valley look relatively unharmed, compared to GW who took the most damage. Valley also shares a lot with a certain Journey area, it's interesting.
that was always my favourite part 🥺
This could be it
If they had more direct access to the sunlight less people would have died of plague
Its probably not very effective in treating darkness like a direct candle (even candles werent that effective) but it was better than nothing
The cheering of the undead always kills me in like the nicest way possible.
Like Venus flytraps? Yeah I can see why
also its the most sunny out of all the realms
It’s just the voices in your head
venus is cool too
Don't say that....
Don’t worry, the ones in mine convince me to leave people in Eden.
Superbowl sunday in the valley of triumph would go crazyyyyyyyy
Thinking about it, Valley is like living in a football city in the states 😭
I can't imagine sleeping during all those coliseum events
I literally did that during the big Aurora concert to break the record.
valley citizens don't sleep
Wdym?
they are training performing and attending
Aurora’s concert is in the colosseum. I literally fell asleep during the one for the record they tried to break. Just afked there
Oh fair
What would the elders’ linkedin profiles look like
to me too, i even joked it makes sense because they could "catch" unsuspecting MOTHS
you're people luce
lettuce
ok flying toe
dev corner in cinema is gonna show concept art right now
The city that wont sleep
Is this Las Vegas of Sky? o.o
maybe
LOL
with twins around it is for sure las vegas
Driving or walking?
the Las Valley
Now I can't help but hear the boy twin doing the dumb Benny monologue
Lol
From now on I call it
Las Valley
It absolutely is
Forest is seattle or even austin depending on the day
Trying so hard not to make new vegas jokes rn omg
I will be gone for now it is work time
see yall in a few hours
No no
The only place that the US can reflect Sky is Valley
No less no more
For the sake of a good world :b
That would be a lot of Sky days!!
EDIT: corrected numbers
Oh I'm glad you talked about this, I'll add to it, yet first...
you did great making those connections
thanks!
~~ This is not about their systems of time measuring, rather, it's a correlation to the dimensions/magnitudes of time between our world and Sky. ~~
Okay so a few months back I did some calculations and this is technically the time difference between Sky and our world
-
Based on my observations, 1 day in Sky is an hour long in here our world. This means every 2.5 min, an hour passess in Sky. An Earth year = 24 Sky years.
-
This means in order for 3k years to happen, 125 years happen in our world.
3k (Sky Years) * 365 (Sky days; considering Solar or Lunisolar calendar) = 1, 095, 000 Sky days = 45, 625 Earth days = 125 Earth years -
So basically that would mean approximately 144 years have passed in Sky since we got there.
SN:
Crazy crazy ik. But I might be wrong w the time keeping. I did this some time ago and I might have measured it wrong, cause I think I based it off how long the sunset woukd take to happen again while I was at Nest (the quest thingy for Season of Nesting)
OMG I was just abt to ask about this lol
Where did you get the time metric from, Avairy?
mb chat
Yeah

Is the aviary kid the same kid from two embers?
Pardon me everyone
I miscalculated those numbers
I got it now
sorry if I confused anyone
6 Earth years of Sky existing means actual 144 years within Sky. So it would take us 125 years to reach a 3k timeframe within Sky. Meaning Sky's life started to form around 1906 and the civilization began around 1920
But the aviary/prairie peaks day night cycle wasn’t in the game for a while, it used to be the only place that changed time of day was home and that would match your own time zone (and still does) so maybe sky days are equivalent to earth days
I weirdly want a full fledged parka cape
True. That is why to me, Portals Home is more in tune with our time than that of Sky Realm.
All done! Sorry for spam and thank you for patience of everyone waiting
I will add the archeologist category once i catch the dev corner stream again, it lagged for me this time and i caught only first three pictures
This seems to suggest to me that a battle was also fought in Forest
@wintry matrix
Thanks for sharing all that and sorry for interrupting you
forest was first indurstrial zone before wasteland and early concepts of forest described it as spooky and easy to get lost in, the path was supposed to disappear after some time and there was thick fog with forest elder leading you away from main path
Thank you for providing us these, Luca! They're really interesting
I got lost in present-day forest as a moff anyway
That would be a fun way to bring back Sacred/Elder Animals
Forest animal being one to mess with you just for the fun of it, tricking you and mocking you
His excuse? Teaching you a lesson to be smarter
The 8th picture of the elders origin 2 has concept art on the left that I've seen before but it seems like the devs cut off the names. The hebrew names really are scrapped now
i got lost real bad in cackling crab last year, i fell down where mimi is and kept walking circles and totally missing the path leading up each time 😭
legit spent like 45 minutes down there cuz im stubborn
They've been scrapped for ages tbf but yeah.
imagine little alef was raised by bunch of.... things
Are they considering different names perhaps? Or just hiding them from those who havent followed up w lore here, or seen the ss found at Fandom site.
Could've had like a jungle book situation with Alef and the concept Elders lol
Lol
imagine
Then we get a musical of the animals and Aleph singing
THEN STEWIE COMES TO SAVE THE DAY WITH HIS ANGELICAL VOICE!
So my theory is plausible
They call Resh 'Ruler' in the artbook, I assume the elders names are still based on what realm they are. Probably just hiding them since it's no longer canon and can confuse some lore moths
i think he would just started screaming honking in panic and running away, i mean i would also run if something looking like this chased me around yes thats lamed
What a cutie
Also it’s very satisfying with the numbers
They were used exclusively in concept material before they retconned it since they felt adding a language (and names unlike the ones we have ingame) for the game was too much. Fans just like using the names because they are neat™. You could say they changed it to the times of day but I wouldn't really say that's comparable since concept material has always referred to their realms as times of days, it just got added to the Elders as well.
not as cute asi this, i love tiny lameds
so small. where did you get this from by the way?
Damn what an absolute cutie and she looks great for 1000 years old (possibly)
first is from prophecy mural and second from concept art
That's fair of him lol.
To be honest the concept material designs remind me a lot of Team Ico designs, they made games like Shadow of the Colossus and The Last Guardian so I feel like he'd grow to like them like the boy in Last Guardian did. Speaking of Team Ico, Sky reminds me of Ico, very lovely game I'd recommend.
Yeah I see
um, I wish I could see more of this language tho
I'm so intrigued and I have been documenting the symbols all across hoping to one day crack it.
Someone already deciphered the ingame language if you want to get a link to that. :v
here is more of the animal elders
Wait whaaaat?
yes pls!!
from eeden_Cafee on twitter
This would mean that the shattering actually happened 12k years ago in sky years but simplified to 500 for our convenience
We need their presence!
I COMMAND YOU RESH! Let them be free!!
Yes, but even so, the Aramaic names created a foundational blueprint that paved the way for the rest of the story to be built from. Especially when you translate them!
🕯️
So far I haven't found anything this actually corresponds to. Did lorechat find anything that lines up??
Those look like runes
How?
My brain aint braining
also coincidence or not
a great catastrophical event happened 12k years ago on Earth
plenty of concept material uses this language
🤏
Woah thanks!
I'll be having fun translating
Well you said one earth year correlates to 24 sky ones and then I thought 500 years could be earth years to simplify things for us so I multiplied 500 earth years to 24 sky ones and got 12k
Because my theory could be correct on the basis that sky counts their years differently then ours
This is amazing!!!
Some questions:
- is the Sky day that you measured based on Prairie Peak’s daylight cycle?
- a year’s length is based on the planet’s orbit around it’s sun, right?
- how could we find out the year’s length (how many days) in comparison to Earth’s?
And in response to Queen’s thoughts:
This would mean that the shattering actually happened 12k years ago in sky years but simplified to 500 for our convenience
You may be using Caster’s time system backwards, from my understanding. If TGC says it was 500 Sky years, we would have to believe them and check how much time passed in Earth years (a lot less than 500) to be relevant to Caster’s system. Someone correct me if I’m wrong!🕯️
Yeah but idk why you would think 500 Earth years
and honestly I dont even know how you all got those numbers to begin with lol
I just accepted them as a timeline you all figured out, so I used them to come up with a comparison to our timeline based on my time correlations.
The cycle for Prairie Peaks is entirely different from Aviary/Nest. Prairie goes on a cycle of 12 minutes. Caster used Nesting/Aviary to get the data.
Queen’s idea could still be right; keep in mind we can’t concretely know for sure if they meant Earth years or Sky-world years. But it’s all stuff to keep in mind.
My brain just works in funky ways and likes when numbers match up in a satisfying way
Oo, by how much? We should measure that too
Prairie is 12 minutes and repeats 5 times in a hour.
Oh wait yeah lemme do that on Peaks today and update you all
and yes you are right
it should be a lot less for us
Prairie Peaks Schedule by 2 Stoats
#questions-and-help message
I just love the idea of the
Currently we have us
500 years ago the kingdom fell
500 years ago before that it was formed
500 years before that the first peoples started populating the land
500 years prior the creatures came
500 years before that the land was formed
And finally 500 years prior Megabird was lit up
It makes my brain happy
Are we building the past in the future?
Honestly, finding out the span of the day would still never help us definitively figure out the year. I could do some research into how long or short a single year could be on all planets in the milky way galaxy and amass the average and the means to see if it can really differ that grossly or if there’s a margin of error.
Hm
What do you mean?
Where are you getting the 500 between events from? Like I get the first part but repeating it every time doesn't make sense.
They are saying they just like the idea, there’s no proof it’s just cool 🕯️
Aight 👍
Because there’s 500 years between us and the fall of the kingdom of sky and maybe it’s a pattern that every 500 years something major happens I like patterns
Oh that would be interesting
and yeah the year calculation is very speculative, it all depends on the planet's position and star type. And also the calendar the civilization uses might differ depending on how the measure.
But I’m right with the general timeline cause
We got Megabird then the land of sky was formed then light creatures came and ancestors came after that, then the elders then Resh, then shattering and finally us
I'm surprised they weren't more advanced if the ancestors were around for 1000 year
If we use this + my time metrics
Shattering happened around 2004
21 years ago in here
Well it took us 3.4 million years to get out of the Stone Age
True dat, it's just the relativity of Sky feels uncomparable to that for me personally.
And they didn’t have elders in the beginning ya know
Oh nooo I got flagged
but anyway I said it isnt as surprising taking into account our own civilization...
around 11k + years since last cataclysm and still not using sound and magnetism to heal and to make buildings like our ancestors did?
Are we so much different?
The only have proof for is the events and where they fall in the timeline
Did someone else ping me?
EDIT: OH
It was me replying to you lol
but my message got muted for some reason
maybe cause of trying to mask a bad word :p
Yeah I noticed.
Preach stuff takes a while to form and build so despite the world of sky relatively being a quicker formed place it still would take some time for development
Well, I personally believe in the present live-service of Sky being canon from Launch, in which case us Descendants have existed here for 6(?) Earth years.
I kinda wanna map a timeline for how fashion formed in sky now
And 144 Sky years :p
Damn we’re old as crab
Do it
I could help with time correlations
Also this is a sacred geometry number so I love it :p
not gonna let it go
Where would I start tho maybe with the isles spirits since they seem to be the oldest and the remembrance, duets are some of the most recent examples and I could also look into the seasonal area and compare and match trends from the beginning of Alef to the end of Resh
oh no resh is millenial
I’d also like to keep in mind the dramatic discrepancy between Peaks’ and Nest’s cycles.
Based on Peaks, one Earth day is 120 Sky days.
60/12=5, 24x5=120
Based on Nest, one Earth day is 24 Sky days (roughly? I didn’t catch the exact length of the day cycle of Nest)
So one Earth day is either
- 120 Sky days
- 24 Sky days
This is a grotesque discrepancy and cannot be easily marginalized.
That won’t effect the fashion history timeline I’ll be making cause I’ll put it in like
4 distinct eras
Baby Alef, Grown Alef, Baby Resh and Grown Resh
Maybe 5 for the transitional period in between
But Aleph isnt
he was born in the 90s
90s boy
2000s changed ma boy
alef and resh are same person, if shattering happened in 2004 then resh was like 14 when it happened lol
ik lol
14?
What kind of yogurt did they feed him?
Probably pure light
1990 to 2004 is 14 years
Oh good
But not good
I'll be checking that out today so we can confirm those numbers
Does anyone know which seasons take place during Dawn which take place during the day, the afternoon and during dusk
Lmao
too many numbers my brain broke
disappears in dyscalculia
Hey we’re hard working historians man
But anyway
14 years old for that size damn
he be hitting the gym and eating like Goku
Sky has made me a theologian, timeline researcher and fashion historian
Or more simply
Which seasons take place during the period of dawn?
During the transitional period?
And which take place during dusk?
I know the regular isle spirits and prairie take place during dawn
Forest and Valley during the transitional period
And wasteland and vault take place during dusk
There is a timeline for this in here
Cause what I’m thinking is that they’d be eras in fashion like how we say baroque Victorian Edwardian so simply John would be the early period and it would have early dawn and late Dawn, and then there would be the transitional period in between which would be the day and afternoon and then we would have early desk and late duskyeah I remember they’re being a timeline. Where is that? I need that I need the timeline Bad.
Mmmh Luca made one but it doesnt focus on the seasonal characters, I know there was one in here about seasons
With my fashion history timeline we should be able to more accurately place each seasonal character to dawn, transitional period or dusk
Most of this is solid, except for the centuries-long gap between the Ruler's rise and fall. I think it only happened across a few generations
Ohhhhh I summoned you wth @spiral vault
@midnight sonnet
here you go, he made this, this is the one I was thinking about
Most of the kingdom is on top of a sea, I think, with Isle/Wasteland/Treasure Reef/ Sanctuary being all part of the same giant ocean
Lmao
I just read this
We cannot eat darkstone oh nooooo 🎶
Yep! I'm surprised someone went back to see that mesage so thanks? lol
I think something like this would be cool:
500 years ago the kingdom fell
(everything happens within this gap)
500 years ago, the seven realms were created and led by the elders
500 years before that the, the Ancestors arrives as nomadic migratory societies
500 years prior the creatures came
500 years before that the land was formed
And finally 500 years prior Megabird was lit up
You did great on your doc
I havent read it fully yet
What doc?
I usually save up stuff I consider important on my own server, so I just did a search there
oh wait lmao
I confused you with Lucas
For shame, Caster I'm not a manatee fanatic like Luca /j
The only thing I'd say I've "catalog" would be the language and cuisine of Sky but that's not a doc or anything, just a text wall of info. :v
Lol
We are on the same boat
that is me with void, spaces, light and darkness and now time
I feel like you are a fashion designer
drawer is undeniable so
are you a fashion/clothes designer?
So what you can see here is the transition between the early dawn. And the late dawn. And for context with what we know of the Isle of Dawn and the Prairie, the Isle of Dawn was pretty lackluster in resources and stuff like that which means a lot of textiles and fabrics would’ve been more scarce and since it was a very small place, but not a lot happening and not a lot of resources they’re sewing techniques would’ve also been much more simpler Because as we see in the later transitional periods with the forest in the valley, we would’ve gotten more complicated sewing techniques, but that’s not important. What is important during the early and late Dawn period is the fact that resources became more widely available during the late Dawn period which is in the Prairie cause we see the advent of capes in the Prairie. we see the first example of a cape in the Prairie if we’re just talking regular spirit in general because we would’ve had more access to a wider variety of textiles since the variety would’ve been null and-void in the Isles and ornamentation would’ve also not been so hard to come across in the prairie versus what it would’ve been in the aisles And I’m not saying there couldn’t have been capes the early dawn. I’m just saying that it would’ve been incredibly expensive so hecking expensive and also a complete waste of materials so I don’t think that in the early period of the dawn that they would have capes at all they wouldn’t have them whatsoever because it would’ve been such a complete waste of valuable resources For something that wouldn’t have been that useful at the time but in the late dawn. I could see capes more common because it wouldn’t be such a big waste when we get to the Prairie with the advent of husbandry more agriculture. They would’ve had more access to abide a variety of resources to make more things which means the headlines got longer The ornamentation got a bit crazier and more people would’ve worn capes.
hi im lucas
from pokemon platinum
Yeah and I’ve actually done a couple courses on fashion history and the history of textiles in general
But they’re definitely could’ve cape Havers in the islands of Dawn because just because it’s the islands of Dawn doesn’t mean it couldn’t have been the late dawn. When they would’ve had more resources to make capes and have longer hem lines and stuff like that, and also I do not think the prophecy spirits would’ve been in the dawn. They likely were in the transitional period between late Dawn and well the transitional period
and then theres me, the opposite spectrum of fashion designer - cosplayer who thinks they are doing good but in reality its more like
when i worked at fabric store and chatted with seamstress ladies about how i sew cosplays they always were like
but hey as long it works
even if avantgarde
Hey, yo, you’re much better at looking at the architecture and the general aesthetics of the sky kingdom that I am so yeah I’m just good at studying the fashions and I am using the regular spirit is like basically the guide for what the rest of the fashions will be and when we can get that done, but I will get that done I could more accurately place each should every seasonal spirit into a era or something because I’m not gonna be thinking about where they are in the sky Kingdom I’m just thinking about what are they wearing? What hallmarks do they have like? What hallmarks do their clothes have like are they having Dawn Hallmarks or transitional hallmarks or dusk Hallmarks? It doesn’t matter, but we’ll see and also to be found the late dusk. We do see a return of the more simplistic Dawn fashions. We see a return cause that does happen a lot in fashion Street a cycle of fashion Often happens and the more simplistic ways could be because in the late dusk. Resources were getting low war was ravaging so there was rations unlikely some tree laws which means that there would’ve been less availability to make the really fancy clothing of the early dusk period and the late transitional period because that’s when we see the real opulent clothing the really fashionable thereally avant garde stuff
funniest thing is that my only experience with architecture is from art history classes
im art school graduate
i guess they were right autistic people have good pattern recognition
They’re damn right and also there’s just patterns in fashion
anyways, remember these? they are in pnr too (only statues with masks)
oh!!!! i love fashion history
The transitional period was likely considered the peak for fashion since most everyone had access to a wide variety of fabric and fabric waste wouldn’t be such a huge problem there was also a wide variety of dyes in that period as well as silhouettes
Dawn had less verity since they hadn’t yet discovered a lot of techniques, textiles and dyes whilst Dusk had less resources due to overuse and war rations
also to adress yesterday crab debate, this is one of dawn part shots, those could honestly be maybe elder crabs and ancestors made statues of them and toymaker decided to make toy of it
The village of dreams was probably considered the Milan or Paris if sky for fashion
And the valley in general
I personally love this sub period because it’s generally very easy to style and make it look good
Most of my dream clothes do come from that period
so uh everyones gonna ignore this massive loredrop or?
they are also the only statues in pnr with no darkness on them too
Where in PNR is that?
I found the statues really interesting as well. Stopped to take a picture with my camera in Eden last time.
Oh neat, I skipped right over them lol
its like... hmmm... around the constant storm part
Uhh let me circle it on my map, I think I remember where this was
Nah I see what you mean on your screenshot Zelda, no need. Thank you though!
ok no worries
Also since you guys brought that up I was surprised to see that statues before PNR can be knocked down when I was playing earlier :v
yeah they shatter to dust when you come near them
Ohh I got a video/picture of that last time too. I didn't notice until I went for TLP during Bloom. (I don't go to Eden often, I usually wait for a moth friend to ask me or coordinate a time for a visit with friends)
can barely see it, but the back of this guy's statue falls off when you get closer.
Maybe it’s the dusk and dawn ember
Is-
Is that like the word one but-
With numbers?
Learning disability for math
Btw
how?
I can't even translate bell symbols w these
where did he/she get this from?
Those symbols are a different thing entirely, the one from the image is the language used mostly in concept material. Meant to say that earlier more clearly but too much conversation going around, my apologies.
i suck at math yeah lol
Guys if you do the narcissist emote around these people they shun you
Any ideas on what that means
Shes so cute help
The gloat emote, huh neat. I'll check in a little while.
Yep
I can actually send the video i got of it rn
They really hated it for some reason
Oh neat, also can I just say your fit looks so cool, chef kisses!
Thanks
Fairly sure they dislike that emote because it's like making too much noise (similar to the deep call/spam honking)
got it nw
Wow that's an interesting reaction
Thats rich coming from them since theyre so loud too
I personally want to know what sort of cultural faux pas people back then couldnt get away with, so far its repeatedly making excessive noise, jokingly spooking people, and gloating
And its not just one person, everyone collectively gets mad
I think its a very collectivist society by those cues
YEAH I was wondering that too 😭
oh the "putting sand in eyes" animation npcs did on me was actually eating 😭
@narrow marsh they DO eat and propably need to too
OH SO THATS WHY U SAID SAND 😭
Id like to think that because of game sprites and how much tgc has to work with they dont show the details of how they eat
They probably have mouths underneath their masks but wear them to sleep, when outside
They make children wear it too
But im pretty sure they are breathable they just need to lift it to eat
It is detachable as when doing the level 3-4 facepalm it slips off
because it looks like sand/dirt 😭
Yeah I getcha now thanks to the image but reading it in text confused the heck out of me.
Def agreee with Ayngarp that it's a game thing and not fully shown how they eat.
Prolly porridge i guess i mean near war conditions were probably as crappy as they could get
they eat like kakashi eats, silly
Its like back in covid when id lift up the bottom of the mask to eat around crowds of people
Yeah lol
also granpa is the only TS npc who atually looks at you and even waves at you, others just pretend you do not exist lol
Ohhh excellent! Are those little puffs like what Toymaker fed to the manatee?

True it's kind of interesting
I noticed that too
walking my dog
if you stand this close to him he stops in front of you after a while and when you honk he does the zoomies again
So this is what I got so far
he also starts wagging tail not only after you open the gate but also when you stand near the fence of his pen for a while
With masks underneath the mask?
The children and the manatees are the only things i like in this area the adults are so stuck up for some reason /hj
im kidnapping that manatee
The manatees are ridiculously cute
They don’t even serve looks anymore….
Eh come to think of it they did have a reason to be stuck up
oh also he flops down all sad if you turn your back to him and walk a few steps, what a dramanatee
Like they served before and wore stylish capes
we are not on speaking terms
SAY SORRY TO HIM
I know we’re not in the transitional period anymore but still think of war-time morale
he chewed up my toy
lol
dramanatee
He’s upset you’re not keeping up to fashion trends
And this is how the war starts...
Wait luca where did you find that token
i canrt seem to find it to provoke a reaction
It's behind the second stall to the right from the market entrance. Kelpi showed me earlier where.
that token is behind third stall in marketplace but it does not matter if you have it or not, i got the "sand" reaction after blowing a kiss to one npc
That’s how the war started actually… some people weren’t stylish so Resh got mad her subjects weren’t serving looks and sent the krill on em’
if you go behind same stall in oob, theres choccy milk instead lol
The coin is def a bug though so it won't trigger anything :p
Im checking that out again later
you can yeet it like frisbee if you deep honk
That’s why I serve looks all the time don’t wanna cause the end of the world again
For real?
Time to get swoll
Do they get mad at that tho
No, They have no triggers for using the coin besides the tea lady you give the coin to.
they look like they will jump at me any moment to grab that token
I think for the next episode we get we can see what their culture/behavior was like
Its very collectivist which is jarring since im used to individualism
To us a mere frisbee
to them?
another sand bread or mystery tea
We live in a society so used to egocentrism and individualistic ideals
but overall we can't avoid collectivism, there's no way out of it, so either we do it right or we end up like them
Jeez
Im sorry but
Now im curious to how totalitarianism works fully and what political spectrum Resh’s regime would be on
Sky lore got me reading irl politics now gahdamn
stewie coming to bargain with resh with just one single token in hand be like
they likely realised they are stronger together than alone and will survive longer that way
Sometimes I wonder if you're alright from all the government talk
Legit wonder if politics was a hobby of yours for a good while
Its inescapable now
i used to be like oh im not political i dont care but i cant NOT care when its EVERYWHERE

im not aggressive about it tho
Yeah....
DAMN IT MESSAGE BEANED
idk what i even said that triggered it
Legit I sometimes copy my message before I send and double check after it gets beamed. Just watch out what you put since it's sensitive.
I was just saying basically that Resh’s political stance was despotism
ooh legit i have never heard that word til now
Lets see if i can put a proper label on it
Its just another word for tyranny almost
I see. Personally don't think it was that tyrannical but I do agree Resh was like a opressive ruler if that makes sense.
The country was once had Elders with regency but over time became an absolute monarchy
Its kinda weird though since the elders are still powerful under despotic rule so it may be a totalitarian oligarchy instead
Those are kinda broad though
YEAH THAT like the elders still have a say at the end of the day for their respective areas
Yeah after reading more on totalitarianism it probably wasnt that insane
It was still very bad if you were a person living there but we can see some people could privatize their own businesses and own capital
But it was a very oppressive and tyrannical time mainly in how light circulated in the kingdom without freedom, and light basically was the backbone to EVERYTHING
Yeah 😬
Also sorry if I'm not adding much im not a person too into politics lol
I only recently got into it and only a little bit too so youre fine
im a biology major so what do i know
Oh that's neat!
Yeah i should probably talk about what i study instead
NO NO Keep talking about government and whatnot. I was just saying it's cool you're a bio major and I do like this discussion about the kingdom's political structure. I do wonder how crime and policy works.
Oh yeah we need to talk more about crime
HEHE
There was absolutely and most definitely some type of black market where people could get prohibited goods
Theft would def been a thing even before Resh showed up. Like stealing candles or light at a holy place or something.
Oh thinking about it how would arson work
I think with how light is being withheld from the people by Resh and encased in darkstone people could probably steal any scraps of free light they could get
If they live in an industry heavy area they could be illegally modifying darkstone to prevent too much light being taken away
Oh definitely yeah. That stuff probbaly costs a fortune too. People would try to find any way to obtain it for stuff. Reminds me of this one dystopian webcomic I read 😭
Not to mention war crimes
During the civil war/revolution there were definitely war crimes of all sorts
Ooooh yeah
The most obvious one would be pillaging by soldiers
Conscription of kids was probably high up too but we hardly see any kids in armor so
I think the lack of kid soldiers is more due to the age rating of the game? That stuff gets dark like immediately
Yeah probably
For my own sanity ill assume its all adults but there was definitely pillaging and other nonsense
Oh definitely not everyone was as wholesome as the game depicts
Considering how beta forest elder was im not surprised lol
This is true
I just refrain from mentioning that here because things are heavily moderated lol but that doesnt mean theyre not valuable to the lore
I think if we wanna talk about that that should be in a different server because the bot beans my messages for obscure reasons
Oh yeah that was um….
😳
Won't say more but yeah a diff server would be the way for that.
Thinking about it I wonder what any petty stuff people have done to the Elders or even the Elders to other Elders (no way Valley twins didn't mess/prank with the others during a meeting lol)
Would the people even try to mess with the elders?
In the episode people looked tense when even Lamed was there and i think shes the chillest Elder
Right right. I think I only thought that because of a fanart I saw haa... technically wasn't "messing" with em but it was a sweet moment of a certain apprentice doing stuff outside a Elder's wishes.
Oh lol i think theyd at least allow that
Ok now Yume its all your fault I dont wanna imagine a Drake Teth anymore 😭 ✌️
???? LOOL
DRAKE THE TYPE TO LURE CHILDREN INTO THE FOREST 😭
ok that aside the forest elder probably was morally ok towards her subjects
Is that meme or something I haven't seen?
Yeah i suppose
Discussing this is not appropriate for that server but we can switch topics
Sorry Yume did i scare you off
No, I just don't have anything to talk about lore wise.
Real
I think ill be in limbo until episode drops on monday
Someone will come by with a topic eventually. But yeah, new episode day will def have the channel in a stir.
I guess tomorrow we'll get chapter episode predictions from the people but my main one is we'll be getting background on Recluse and his whole situation.
In the meantime we can make jokes again
BIOLOGY!
Also I do think this is similar to how resources in our world are controlled by those who rule, which defines the lives and interactions of members of a society, despite this they can still have some freedoms and some sort of privacy as well as ownership.
So more like socialism/communism instead of totalitarianism, because IF (yeah big if cause its not my forte) society is ruled by various entities (oligarchy) then it qualifies more as a socialist/communist society.
Think of the clear differences between China and North Korea.
I feel like this regime inbetween those examples
I definitely sense tyranny in how light/tech is used by Resh
On that note what do you think about what their media was like Caster

Fun fact fashion is a pretty good way to tell if you live in tyranny or not
Sumptry laws, propaganda (maybe) and rationing (definitely) all made fashion falter in the later dusk period and the early dusk period was the warning sign with all the militaristic elements in fashion
Dusk period?
Yes there was the dawn era/period and dusk period
I have not heard anyone use that term here before but okay
Yeh
Finally a new topic revived me again and i wonder what the media was like
Well they work as dawn was a time period was it not? same with dusk wasn’t that a time that happened
This is a lose theory, but more so me entertaining a question.
If the realms represented the different ages of civilisation (with dawn as the start and vault nearing the end or fall), what time period would some seasons belong to that is not set in a realm?
ex. the seasons set in the windpaths/aviary. Would they be in any time period?
Also season of aurora and shattering had multiple/no realm to associate with.
Even if aurora is set in valley, its season spirits had their appearances in the different realms.
If this is not how the seasons should be placed in the timeline, that is fine.
However, it it would, how would the seasons in their respective realms help explain what happened in each time period?
I guess? I only said I haven't heard people use that here.
This is what I’m trying to figure out with context clues and fashion history
I feel like for those things its less about where it is in what time period and more or less storytelling
Aviary/windpaths probably was something to show the innocence of some citizens
Shattering just told the story of how everything went to crap
Innocence? :0 OH WAIT U SAID AVIARY TOO
Yeah they seem happy
Too happy
I know there has been folks who made notable progress in their timeline theories.
I believe that someone known as Salem in the past had either mapped out most, if not all, of the season and events at the time they worked on their theory.
It has been a long time since I heard of them here, sadly.
Oh tempted to search for that now
I'll find the message to help.
I got it no worries. Saw one of your old messages mention it. Salem timeline: #lore-discussion-spoilers message
welp, that is a nice jackpot.
This is why I make these old linked messages. They help like stepping stones to older messages.
#lore-discussion-spoilers message
Hopefully whenever I refine this it could be a helpful guide to be able to more accurately identify which spirit comes from what time period
Ah funky, one of the timeline puts season of flight near shattering
Or at least what time period they’re fashion is inspired by
I just love fashion history, but there is another reason why I’m doing this because there is nothing to add to my bird theory right now and I need to do something to feel same and besides that adds an entertaining little je ne sais quoi to sky
Ah yes the seasons where a boy tells you to "die" and one designed around the federal postal service, totally innocent /j
Wait what federal WHAT
Ouhhhhhh the consequence of hiatus
i forget stuff
Lo and behold, nobody was ever truly happy
XD
If they truly were happy they were either a baby or delusional
I'm exaggerating on the federal part but they def were sending packages and whatnot, I wouldn't be surprised if the tunnels were used to send to different realms.
At least some were stylish
Plus Flight Guide literally works under the Prairie Elder so who knows what she did under him.
She works at FedEx
Possibly a messenger bird, lol
Trueee, Bird why are you such a truther
If I could send gifs I'd send the flying truth meme
There is a reason I use the name "old bird" lol
Going on a limb for the nesting spirit, They could have been an interior designer, or possibly a home builder for the forest elder.
Btw, you can send gif as attachments still.
They probably are yeah.
I like viewing them like a weirdo though
.
Hold the phone....
We have treehouses in the forest.
If the nesting guide was responsible for building those, then why on earth did they think skykids would want to live in box apartments?
Were they on a budget for the moth-motel or something? /j
Seriously though. Thinking that nesting guide was somehow helping the assembly troop is nice.
Imagine an epilogue with some seasons where you get bonus quests when you completed some of the other seasons.
For example, if you completed nesting and assembly, you get to do extra quests with the assembly group. And that could unlock a new nest that you can customise with the nesting guide.
OOOH I love group, i forgot the term used in games but like, bonus stuff like that is really neat
new game+ ?
Eh sort of, I was more thinking specifically about when games give bonus content when you do stuff with certain characters, I see it in certain gachas and rpg games i play
ah, I get what you mean.
I do like the thought of customizing a new area, I feel like the nest is too limiting but that's just me. Having a treehouse area to decorate that isn't the shard space from Assembly would be nice.
Maybe something with performance and that other guy could have a quest together, something with the twins would be fun. Maybe even moments and sanctuary together too?
Sorry Im not suggesting anything beyond that or going deeper, im tired.
It could still be a small-ish area where you can cram your stuff if the game can't handle a larger space. But at least you have more space to run around, fly and have fun instead of accidently slipping your balcony and ending up in Narnia. /hj
The one thing ive questioned about season of assembly is why would you let your kids run amok in a heavily industrialized land
Then again they could be orphans
LOL, I always thought that group was a bunch of teens/young adults
Well damn theyre quite short for that
We do see a teenager in belonging and some of the adults are young so
If those are short to you then what do you think about the grandson to grandma or the chibi mask girl? Heck even the kids from Passage?
You and I are in the same boat, lol.
Other possible season combos/crossover/epilogues can be passage and prophecy. Maybe a competitive mode where you see the young teen spirits do the trail with you.
And maybe see the prophets trying out the passage trials in return.
Remembrance and Aurora. Where you see the remembrance group in the songs with the spirits. But more so just re-enacting the scenes instead of breaking the canon. And the aurora group spending time with the remembrance cast.
Or.... Sanctuary and the Abyss going on a island expedition to each others areas?
OOO SANCTUARY AND ABYSS WOULD BE SO COOL I NEED IT
Loving these ideas
Hmmmm maybe im remembering it wrong then
They could be nearly teens yeah
They are giving goosebumps energy.
Kids that spend time in heaven's knows where in the wilds. But somehow make it back home for dinner with their parents none the wiser.
Assembly was the “its 10 PM, do you know where your children are?” Season
(Don't ask why, I just looked up the word and realised what I wrote is a hella stretch. I am heading to bed, lol)
I know you did one for Nesting and another but since the new seasons with Nesting, Radiance, and Duets came out (project aviary). Maybe they could do like a part two of Revival but with those spirits, maybe like a monthly event at the end of the month where they do like a lantern festival to send to the other spirits.
Me and some here talked about this before
we think there was a sort of internet and digital storage devices.
These devices are darkstone memory lamps. And the internet/web could just be more like (AR) augmented reality and/or using the Void to make spaces accessed from anywhere through the mind as well as perhaps sending messages through there.
So likely their media would be heavily influenced by it. I think messages, symbols and propaganda were shared here as well as in carvings, murals, and just posters overall.
These damn darkstone ipad kids
Real talk though with how advanced darkstone was in absorbing light and powering so much tech then with projections of media and also traditional means (paper or stone)
I hadnt thought about that
that is actually quite an interesting detail to take into account
Its also worth mentioning that the Forest and Vault elders were relatively close
That meant shared tech
Lamed could give her projections to Teth and she could give her darkstone to her
Thats why both realms are almost puzzle like in using so much darkstone and projections of light on walls
If Forest had industrialization propaganda and Vault had psyop/educational propaganda i wouldnt be surprised
Been thinking about it. So if battlefield was a town before, that means shipwreck was the harbor ?
Probably
Could be yeah
but I don't think of them as intentionally being malevolent so I feel like everything they did, they fr thought they were doing good.
Yeah i didnt mean to make it sound like they were evil
Most people in a regime think everything is normal for a while anyway
i dont know too much of the lore but i wanna try to understand more about the krill. were they made by the 'king' or whoever made the tech that required light? or are they corrupted light creatures trying to restore their light that will never come back?
also if theres any big post or peice of media that lays out the lore id gladly eat it up🙏
The lore is meant to be very unclear and unspecific, so that people can have their own interpretations and try to discover the 'Truth' for themself!
And what we know about krill (whose canonical title is the “Dark Dragon”) is no exception! Though there are a lot of context clues, the community does not have a concrete answer as to how they became the way they are. Here’s some observations and concepts to get you started on your investigation into them though!
🕯️
#lore-discussion-spoilers message
Can't talk much rn but this link gives good info on lore: https://sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:Amity206/Sky_Lore_Theories
I’ll also direct you to this list, which holds quite a few different summaries, based on different theorist’s own interpretations.
🕯️
Krills were accidentally made when the ancestors did experiments essentially. Anyway gtg!
Amity’s theory blog is fantastic. Many theorists have called it outdated which is quite unfair. It shows exactly the kind of strong wayward theories of that time, those three years ago.
Nothing back then was ever ‘wrong’, just earlier in our journey as a community!

abyss murals hint at them being artificially created but technically they are shown to be made by acolytes/shcolars from vault there
to be fair that's like the closest we have to creation of krill
they are also described as hungry for your light i don't want tomte to tell me they don't like my attitude again but idk why everyone thinks there can be much else variations on why overcooked shrimp exist especially considering the proof is even actually in game and not from an interview from 4 years ago or smth
sorry
ooo so they were extracting light from light creatures eggs and in result had some of them born to be dragons possibly🤨🤨
possibly
Maybe! There’s been a lot of debate on what those things are but they sure dang do look like eggs!
The concept art has always been confusing to me, and perhaps even a red herring, if there ended up being a reason we don’t know about that the devs decided to keep those visual within the concept phase,
🕯️
i do like them tho. its so vague but also tie down to a basic way of keeping history. not alot of words and also showing how things were veiwed by the spirits
ive just started to pay attention to them too. when i first went through i didnt understand alot and bulldozed through
I was about the answer the krill question but yall got it down pat
Some concept art is pretty good at clearing up lore, some is insane (Teth concept art
) and some are just cute
Well, it’s your journey, and you’re here now, wondering.

some are Resh concepts (cool ones)
Yuhhhh
took a peak at the art abit ago and it was so beautiful, i loved it so much
The visuals sure are powerful.
About the Abyss concepts, I think that even if the details changed from what those concepts express, Abyss combined with its concepts almost guarantee that the creatures were experimented on by the government.
A phrase I’m very fond of is “parable not doctrine”. The stories we see here in Sky lore are just that; stories. What matters is the lessons, which means the details can end up wishy washy, and it’s okay
🕯️
We are not immune

i think we can say that a 100% government experiments
this word combo is vague enough for the lore
Yeah if there was no theorizing in this game it would be less enjoyable
Like yeah they gave us concrete lore but some is left alone for us to fill
even with all the tragedy it still came out beautiful in its own way....
but i love the dark parts in stories and how messed up they can be😏 i need all of it
tbh not until this season i never thought the civilization was that complex, i thought they had some floating boats- ididnt know how they worked at all but just thought it kinda just faided. but now with all of this im doing a dive into it
Once you get more into it you start making comparisons to politics and civilization irl too which can also keep you more informed of the real world too
Thats what i found for me
Lamed my glorious elder that can yeet us in the past showed more people path towards lore
And in and out of modern expression of the horrible human experiences of conflict, pride, and discrimination; we find that it’s all always been important to talk about. I just finished re-binging the last chunk of Attack on Titan and the themes are so powerful to me.
Understanding the power struggles of the world is an important goal of mine, and these mediums help me better understand
Yes yes
Like the vacuum pipes used in banks :0
that would be cool
Skyfleet
Genshin?
Do we have a suggestions box?
I have been picturing a market to exchange items between skids for quite a while now, and now that the new area is here I am hoping soon we can probably exchange items or spells for candles or hearts or just some good old bartering
And! Maybe additional quests and/or activities serving as a way to earn special spells or spells to use ultimate items (allowing for us to be able to earn ultimate items without actually taking away the value of such limited items)
Old school kids
Although new school kids dont even have parents so I guess we are more wild
The kids playing in the refugee camp (“new” seasonal area) maybe were orphans but i saw some kids with their parents
But it was few
Yeah, I have been observing them, they are definitely more random than the adults which is a nice feature
sad to be an orphan but also if you have friends and you can freely roam without getting taken away to be put into shelters could be fun
Yeah
They funny too they laugh at you when you get thrown in jail
Lol I havent seen that yet cause I havent been taken yet :p
Im slippery
Ive been incarcerated 4 times

I'm really a follower of this philosophy
and I honestly admire you for constantly reminding us of that.
Not only that but the habit of asking questions instead of just becoming comforted with the temporary certainty that answers provide.
You mentioned something about the light that dark creatures seek to get back, well I actually saw smth on art gallery that could give us a hint as to the nature of dark creatures.
Before I saw this tho, I had always thought they had some light in them, that is why they are alive, and why they have light in their eyes.
And looking at the Connection Spectrum from art as well, which is something we have discussed deeply, the dark creatures are indeed just corrupted creatures and by corrupted, I have concluded it just means the balance between light and dark has tilted more towards darkness (I don't mean darkness here as evil, but more like light and matter)
See here
Once they are "saved" like it says there, the little light orb that was left in them can be liberated
So maybe the butterflies would kinda be like the light of the creatures that were freed. Since when we melt away darkness, for the most part, butterflies are what is freed.
They are not, patch notes says they are descendants of forest ancestors reuniting after some time so their parents/caretakers likely work in forest quarry/mines
Prior to what happens in two embers part 1 maybe, we already see the shipwreck being there in part 1 trailer
I have hc/theory that Lamed was one of the first elders to not be entirely loyal to Resh based on how our moff self is treated by every elder when meeting them for first time #lore-discussion-spoilers message
Let me also add, that both Stewie and Luke were raised by people who became their parental figures
cold ping
Trade systems tend to create toxicity and scammers and I dont think tgc wants to have that in their game.
Heyy i was wondering, do we have any idea what whinged lights actually are, lore speaking? Like i know theire basically just an ingame mechanic for us to get light, but i always wonder why they always face the sky and whatcthey actually are
Some theorise they’re bits of the ruler left behind when the shattering happened
Ohh hmm interesting
Toxic players will always find a way to ruin something, no matter how limited or balanced it can be.
Trades can either be balanced, or applied to the gifting system the game already has.
Case and point, it sadly wont be a last time for a player to scam a friend out of a heart trade.
If one takes away every possible mechanic or feature that toxic players can exploit. There would be little to no options left in the game.
I can already see where this will go… it’s gonna be the heart trading economy all over again…
They’re memories! Or at least, that was what the game told us before that specific cutscene was removed.
When starting in isle, we used to see a very short cutscene saying “Seek lost memories to gather winged light”.
Some winged light kids have masks too.. 👀
Fashion can show a lot of how a society works
only two of them have masks actually, both are part of one wl
I thought some in Eden did too… I might be misremembering
2 hugging child wl have masks and same hugging statues in pnr have masks
Yeah I’m having fun researching the textiles that they likely used and what they wore and how they constructed garments
Ah there we go, yeah that’s what I was thinking of!
none of othr wl has them and in fact even in same light conditions (shard memories), other wl are much brighter even with brightness lowered all don on camera gadget, just like the hugging wl were photographed
the hugging masked statues are also only ones in whole pnr with no darkness on them
What should I do? I can't open the map. Xiao Chen, what should I do?
them being transparent could mean many things, it could just be "mistake" when making separate models or it could be that they are original husks of all others
i would also like to bring up my theory again that we are both dusk ember and dawn ember at once, we cant find resh (dawn ember) anywhere in game because he gave up his soul while stewie (dusk ember) is spirit despite being highly suspected to be child of light as well, because they gave up their body and this body of dusk ember and soul of dawn ember together with blessing from megabird made current generation of children of light to exist
wrong channel, we talk about lore here, this belongs to #questions-and-help
I've noticed a really interesting discrepancy-- namely, that the spirit-form Steward has a mask diamond, but movie-form Steward doesn't
If Genshin does that them sure however I don't play that game.
and, of course, we've established that all spirits in the emberverse currently don't have mask diamonds
Spirits can change masks during life, we have seen them do that multiple times.
I mean, aside from perhaps the prophecy or passage seasons, I don't think spirits change their masks. Also, the main point is not about whether there's narrative holes in the storytelling, it's more about what caused the red diamond motif on the mask.
Duets guide, dreams girl, alef/resh, passage kids, performance guide
the manatee shepard has one tho
No he doesnt
it's resembling whateva light creatures have above mouth
Thats manatee face not diamond
Even so, the masks seem to be non-conventional? They're mostly for performance or ritual, but not casually worn
I'm gonna hold your hand when i say spirits wear masks casually
What do you mean by non conventional? We see those spirits outside passage kids and dreams girl wear them every day
fair enough, it isn't in the shape of the diamond
Thanks for the pictures! Late reply, but that’s also why I said “some”.
Those were the exact ones I was thinking of
Ty!

Ok, i'll revise my previous statement-- I've been checking spirit and spirit guide images up to now
Jellyfish whisperer has a diamond motif, patched over as an orange diamond instead of a red one
So is flight guide
These are the only "default-mask" spirits that I know of that have diamond motif, yet they still don't have a red diamond at all
I think that's also the same with lively navigator?
Can you please explain what you meant? Im gen asking, english is not my first language
Im not sure if this has anything to do with it, but skykids used to have different masks as well (basegame, default mask). Some were dimmed, some were bright.
Good question, makes me want to deep dive into the significance of the little star
We also saw a similar "patched diamond" motif with what I believe to be the dawn ember, during the trailer, except the mask was dark
are you asking why other spirits wear this motif or.. I'm confused
also what's exactly patched diamond
Honestly it could just be status symbol as we can see 3D diamond (some spirits have only painted on symbol of it) on higher ranking spirits only, it could even be darkstones. This topic was discussed here few months ago, i can try to find it.
If stewie got the crystal later in life, it could mean they got either “promoted” or maybe it is due to their memories beibg recorded in memory lantern
what patched diamond do they mean the painted on one or-
i don't kno
maybe we will never know they did not answer my question either
Oh I think I understand what you mean. Similar to how the lightseeker spirits use masks made out of whalebone (maybe? It’s not confirmed).
I mean, it might as well be that the ‘Steward’ we see in the 2E series isnt the steward we see in Aviary.👀
refer to images:
I feel like you guys aren't taking me seriously here.
I get what you mean!!
we're just confused
First one is not canon anymore thats old design of TTE masks, rest of them is just painted on symbol.
and also it's alef
Conventional wear (I.e daily wear, not for a specific cause). Where did you find the first picture?
diamond on the sky kids mask but yeah diamonds are a symbol used throughout the kingdom. It's def like a status thing.
That was yanked off the first result I saw. I could try screenshotting the actual trailer image... but i'm too lazy
There's also the interesting point that the lights in the eyes, comparing between the two masks--
The ones with a "patched diamond" or no diamond at all have bluer eyes, while the ones skykids and steward wear have warmer eyes.
No it’s okay, I get what you’re referring to.
Everything in the trailers is still cannon imo, even if they’re not shown in the series (yet)
Painted on diamonds could mean “lower rank” directly under 3D symbol. We see spirits wearing various symbols on their masks according to faction they belong to. I would like for you to explain my previous question now?
So this season is two embers part 1 so there is a possibility that next season can be two embers part 2?
it's an analysis video
i tried watching it after i came back to catch up with stuff but i think it just confused me more
the video isn't relevant
anyways i'm off for breakfast, will return in a few
Guys im at low spoons since morning, can someone please give me razor language once this get solved because im getting more and more confused what is point of this convo and stuff
there will be p2 but there was an interview saying it's still in development and comes at least next year
I seee next year huh
Please answer my question once you get back i need clarification of what you mean to provide correct resources.
I think there’s so many factors at play
. I do think the masks of the spirit models (if they’re basegame masks) don’t necessarily represent anything because they’re mostly copy pasted and could very well be just a game tech thing.
But I also agree with the status symbol. Colour represents status in the game
They just mean this I think #lore-discussion-spoilers message
Do they mean.. conventional wear exists?
^^ No, they don’t as far as I understand. They’re just brainstorming about the different motifs and colours
no-- it's just--
when I look at a majority of spirit characters-- maybe in the background of memories (passage actually provides some good examples of casual wear? i'm not entirely sure)
the base game masks don't have red diamonds
jelly and flight guide doesn't have rocks on their foreheads but have a drawing of a rock i now understand that
No i mean my question about what they mean by conventional or whatever it is spelled wearing, if im translating that word right it means bit different thing in my language
This question #lore-discussion-spoilers message
Well not exactly, i could be painted or not-- the main point is that it's not a red diamond
okay, can you now give an example of what a red diamond is?
moth mask
the heck you mean "no"
Moth mask has white diamond.
Non conventional, non daily, but used for performances, ritual, sacrifice
They mean the outer lining
Which is red / orange
with orange outline
But we see those spirits i named before wear those masks every day, we only saw dreams girl and passage kids change to their normal masks later
it's an obvious~~ albedo~~ i jhave no idea wha t optical efect this iseffect to signify that it glows an extremely bright red
no
Yeah I think we concluded this
. it was just a brainstorm iirc
Can i see proof of your reasoning? What makes you think it meams that? I know what albedo, rubedo etc means, im failingto grasp your point of view however, why would skids have something that portrays shattering on their masks? Non corrupted darkstone glows blue/teal
why???
WHY /silly
anyways, here's proof:
i think tgc can afford to make a gem glow red
but it doesn't mean skids can't have something that portrays shattering on their forhead
since.. they're a bit connected to dying in eden
it's a yellow gem and eyes
the outline is red
it's likely an intended red glow
only possible disproving might be the fact that you can dye the outline
it's orange
I always thought that was just sky kid thing because y'know similiarities to Resh but I digress. I do like the discussion of masks.
I dont understand? You dod not answer my question at all
yesss, i love memory of my beautiful queen even if it's killing everyone
please understand that i'm addressing @distant pebble as well
also ash explained it just as well-- skykids were sent to die in eden, it's the opening crawl, i'm not gonna prove it
you already did dw
Why did you tag me then when no part of your message answered mine?
ok, i'll deliberately spend a red dye to modify the moth mask to prove the outline's red, gim a moment it's for the good of intelligence
well dang it turns a darker red, nothing is proven
To me it’s more of an orange outline but I get the gist of things!
I give up
I'm scared for them
This convo is literally running in circles
Guys I get you're trying to understand their reasonings but let's not be discouraging about it.
Please share your knowledge because rest if the chat is super confused.
rock on forehead reminds of eden and stuff
Yume, neither me or ash come from english speaking country and them trying to explain their reasoning pretty poorly doesnt make us understand it better at all, more like opposite.
i think yume's just asking us to be nice when we are
I know that but saying I'm scaring for them and this convo is literally running in circles does not give the person explaining hope of others understanding their point of view. Language barriers can be tough I know.
Tbh the other person is not being nicest either, just look at their emote reactions
look, i think i've had enough of this chat. i come here to cultivate any unfinished theories and to improve our understanding of sky through group teamwork, not craft a fully functioning video essay for you all to peruse. we are here to contribute our interesting findings, regardless of its situation within further context. make of all the information i've given you what you will.
I've given you mask information. Disprove or prove it. it doesn't matter. the information stands
Honestly the orange outline made me think of the light creatures rather than Eden 👀. I just checked all masks and the “orange outline” comes back in some masks: Ranger mask, moth mask, chibi mask, waving mask.
Flight guide has a fully covered orange diamond, as do the enchantment masks
Im not sure what this means
but that’s what I found
It's okay
have something to drink.. if that helps
don't worry, i've been drinking plenty of water. see ya
Yes you came here to cultivate them and people were cultivating them and asking questions for clarification. Your answers to those questions were not clear enough which made chatters here ask again. Nature of this chat is always clash of opinions and theories and you should be prepared for that.
They stated their boundaries. Let’s respect them.
Ye except we have cool rocks
would be lovely if it meant both
Good point, they do resemble the light creatures in a way. Which would make sense in a historical perspective.
I mean, they ARE light creatures too after all
Atleast the skids i mean, not ancestors
Regardless it’s interesting to think about how Eden affects masks. I have absolutely no knowledge of this at all but I also don’t think of red = Eden
I still think its a darkstone because we see vault elder also have diamond in her mask, a white diamond, which is clearly a darkstone in the movie, same goes for some of resh concept art (white diamond) to movie resh (blue diamond)
The skykid star / diamond?
yes the cool rock
ok, that's actually a quite interesting point-- we see a lot of red iconography with eden-- the fact that shards are red, that corrupted darkstone that takes away light is red, that triggered krillbeams that attempt to krill skykids are red
I think the devs want us to associate eden with red, but it's up to interpretation
As for the vault elder mask, that's also a diamond, but it's not red, interestingly
Its the same shade as the darkstone used in memory lanterns and darkstone resh has on his mask
I get the vision! The krill cat mask diamond is also red
It seems for all the diamonds featured, they all appear blue, except for the skykid and the aviary ember
uuuhhh krillcat... i didn't think about it....
btw, unrelated to this conversation but… more pictures of the eyes and diamond on skykids in the old days
Some of them don't have shine, neat.
Diamond, not the outline to my knowledge. Im still failing to understand what does the outline color have to do with anything especially when we can dye it and when we see spirits having various color outlines on their masks.
interesting! there's like a silver patch over one of them-- are they like, the masks that moths are born with tho
I don’t think the diamond on skykids is darkstone unless you’re going off the theory that we are darkstone
YES!
This was the default mask! Changed in…. Lightseekers 2019 iirc
so it might be retconned? idk
that's a really interesting point nonetheless
Yeah 😭. I think so, I don’t know if this still holds any significance. Over the years several things have been retconned (sadly)
Sof can you please look what i wrote about my reasoning why I think it is darkstone or in skids case imitation of it? I said it might be darkstone, not it is darkstone, my proof of it was that Lamed has white diamond in game (even after you return her light) while it is darkstone blue shade in movie.
That looks like graphic upgrade to me rather than anything lore related to be honest…
I get what you’re saying! I’m just saying I dont believe it’s darkstone unless you’re going off the theory that we are darkstone.
This, because I believe the diamond on the mask isn’t actually “on” the mask but is just… part of us… like the eyes
why might the existence of a darkstone on the vault elder disprove the existence of the exclusive red diamond on the skykid?
What do you mean by we are darkstone?
I doubt that (skykids had different eye shapes too). Might be some old thing how they wanted Skykids to be a little bit different from eachother, but was later removed
I don’t believe the diamond (not the outer lining) is seperate from our soul / light / eyes / being
It’s one whole thing. The diamond just gets covered up with some masks (that’s what I believe at least). So that’s why I’m saying I don’t think it’s darkstone unless we are darkstone
Im talking about all masks with 3D diamonds in game, not skids in particular. I only used used vault elder as example because it is clearly seen there. Please do not twist what Im saying. Plus skids masks do not have red diamond, it is white with orange outline.
the moth mask is removable and can be replaced with a diamondless mask [i.e maskless]. Still, it could demonstrate our original objective
Well, i'm getting confused as well. but that's what lorechat's for
The eyeshape looks still the same to me
When you take off the mask with diamond then of course you wont have any diamond on your face.
I don’t think the diamond (shiny yellow / white thing) is part of the mask, but part of us as a skykid
it means that the diamond does not play a vital part to skykid existence, as the change is purely cosmetic. which poses a huge stumbling block to whatever i'm cooking. hm
All i know is that all moths are born with a red diamond on their foreheads. aviary guide also has red diamond.
or orange, or whatever. argh!
Bottom skid has the same shape as now. Upper skid is looking down which makes their eyes look a bit slanted as the mask is 3D while their eyes are at lower layer, im pretty positive I can find screenshot of my skid with sameeffect taking action
No no i promise this is not a theory but a fact
they genuinely had different eye shapes (back in 2018-2019)
YEAH! I agree with this. Aviary guide was a skykid I believe too
All “different eye shapes” you shown were of skids face in angle where the skids facing camera have normal round eyes.
It's just that the aviary guide didn't have a red diamond during the two embers trailers. so i'm trying to reconcile that.
Also, different mask colors, idk
Basically, i'm attempting to prove that something happened to the Aviary elder that led to them having a red diamond mask
Luca :’). I promise that this is not because of camera angles, but if Nagati, Sera, Miri, or anyone else from that time is in chat I’ll ask for confirmation from them
See? Even you are now disapproving with your own theory, do you now understand what made people here so confused?
Do you think Aviary guide and the Two Embers person are the same person?
It's... heavily hinted-- that's all i can say
we have the same hairstyle, similar outfit, just... different mask
Quick question about skykids and not related to the masks:
When did skykids appear? Who were the first skykids, and did they also fall from the sky as we did? I know winglights didn’t appear till after resh went boom, so did all skykids appear after then?
Thanks! I looove learning about the timeline
500 years ago is the official timeline of the two embers, so 500 years post-cataclysm. of course, that's useless because we don't know causation...
Anyways, the hopeful steward also points us towards the eden mountain. we'll assume that everything must be taken from a lore-perspective. so no gameplay features!
What i'm basically saying-- and this goes into the realm of speculation-- but the mask details, how the story is trending, and how the guide points us towards eden-- I'm speculating that Hopeful Steward will head to eden
The entire timeline of Sky throws me off
. Because Aviary is a haven, but then Stewie would’ve met Rhythm guide etc in times of the 2E as well
The reason why I don’t immediately think Stewie is the same person as in 2E is because I think Aviary Stewie was the first skykid ever (the falling star from that one memory in Isle).
And the Stewie from 2E had a mom
He had a mom? Ooh where did you see that?
I read “first skykid ever” and thought of the “you are the youngest person ever!” meme
Wait maybe I’m wrong I forgot. Didn’t the mom get sick and pass away?
In the first chapter
Toymaker, yes they were infected
If we are talking about Toymaker yeah, I think they adopted Stewie
AH toymaker wait yeah I’m wrong forget I said anything
Both TTE protagonists seem to have a parental figure who is infected if we go by the teasers used a year ago

...why doesn't :pthink: have a red diamond
oh my god it's just like the flight guide lively navigtor
oh my god i can't take this anymore
Me adding darkness to the water supply
My brain is all scrambled now (in a fun way)
AND all the enchantment masks!!!!
why does the lore have to connect to the hecking discord emojis oh my god
Hahahahaha
And the fact that the artist actually made the *deliberate *choice of making the diamond yellow instead of red
sure it wouldve made sense if the artist copied the default mask red bit, or just ignored, but a deliberate yellow whyyyy
i still dont believe you, sorry
the same effect can still be achieved and as i said before, front facing skids on your screenshots have normal round eyes
That’s ok, you don’t have to believe me. I’m talking about the old 2018-2019 masks (default ones). They did have different eyeshapes, but it’s fine if you don’t see that!
If I see a 2018-2019 player again, I’ll come back to this
if anything those eyes were maybe smaller but definitely not difefrent shape
I'm all for past instances (updates, light awaits, etc.) so I'm glad you brought it up
my irl friend is 2018 player (stopped during sanctuary) and she doesnt see it either and doesnt remember the eyes being different
Alright so i did a bit more mask pondering-- it looks like we can see what composes of a mask, or what a mask is typically made of
From the season of depression
one interview said the masks are made out of stone
Thats ok Luca, its a very obscure / niche fact anyway
. I’ll get back to you ^^
So what about the invisible mask?
it's
it's depression season
it uh
quite recently, there has been 500 years pause during which "the dust was setting" until the planet became habitable again and slowly repopulated by megabird sending creatures down there, including us tasked with cleaning it even more
invisible mask is just no mask/facepaint (aurora spirits, DoC facepaint)
ignore my poor attempt at humor-- masks are made of darkstone, which might explain the red diamond on skykid moth masks
What about masks with glowing parts like the prophecy ult mask? What’s the glowing part made of?
I would say light, however it flows….
well, in reference to the image, the scar occurs over the eye, and underneath is more darkstone, so i'd say the eye-lights / glowing bits are likely darkstone as well
now, the uh... floating bit is weird, but it resembles elder masks
not really mom in biological means, we still dont know how ancestors populate, it was pretty much a caretaker, just like resourceful recluse is later to them and what stargazer and the other guy were caretakers of alef
Idk if elder masks flow like the ring, let me check
It said stone, not darkstone. This mask is broken and infected, thats why it looks like there is darkstone, it is the same case of you getting krilled or hit by rock, darkstones start to grow on you in this shade (with gratient to black)
Yea no, elder shield accessories don’t flow back and forth, they’re static
we see other broken mask on cannoneer and there is no darkstone inside it and neither is on other cracked abyss masks
So most likely that mask just had dark stone in it
the abyss masks seem fashioned from traditional building materials
I mean, in the uhh.. whatever that acorn hat guy was, his mask had a darkstone socket in the forehead
the only other instance where we see broken mask showing some sort of corruption in "darkstone blue" is the ancient darkness mask with darlness plant growing out of it
Thing is, I think it only goes as deep as the mask.
that's an interesting point raised, but unlike the bereft veteran, there isn't the horizontal line signifying its a mask
Additionally, the eye's slightly closed, much like maskless face, which might mean that the devs intended for the mask to be an invis
we also don't see any improvements on maskless until aurora, which occured after shattering, which might indicate a graphics upgrade
Or it’s made out of the same material as the unburnable one in Aviary
i still dont think the wounded warrior mask is showing inside of the mask, it is possibly showing what is UNDER the mask, aka the darkstone disease we see in TTE
if it was showing inside the mask there would still be open eye socket which is not
Yea that mask just has dark stone inside it. I don’t think it goes deeper than the mask. Dark stone is mined so could just be they accidentally made a mask with a bit of dark stone in it.
I mean, we're assuming that spirits need eye sockets to see through the masks, but that's not necessary
take for example, resh, with an obvious single eye
i'm pretty sure resh doesn't have one eye
Could be a lens of some kind.
bereft veteran?
R we talking about masks (good morning)
my bad, whatever the wounded warrior was
bereft vet has a diamond oh god
matpat had it easy
Question, how do they grow facial hair out of a STONE MASK
Maybe that’s why the king did what he did, dude couldn’t get a beard.
assume canonicity for everything, perhaps duct tape
please stop oh god it burns
and im pretty sure resh is likely heavily corrupted by being so close to the darkstones all the time that his face became unrecognizeable, he is covering his whole body in cloth
we can even see the corruption taking place on vault elder mask, her being already cracked under eye and slightly chipped exactly on spots where it is broken off in present day when we meet her
So where the hair from…whose hair did they steal?
Yeah i think it could affect the mask first
That implies it has some light in it
Or worse yet its not that the mask got corrupted first, most likely the flesh underneath on their face got corrupted so bad it sept into their mask too
Also @versed mirage i think some masks were designed for some people to let their facial hair go free. like that hole in the back of a baseball cap where you can put your ponytail
i mean he is already bald so it doesnt matter that much
Teth stole all his fabulous hair
If he is corrupted like the infection we see, dude is doing an amazing job at moving if his corruption is that bad he needs to constantly hide himself
Still, because the king only has one eye socket, meaning that he doesn't need to see through his mask to... see...
I mean, a small amount on someone arm is apparently pretty debilitating on its own
That's a good/neat way of looking at it, noted!
If bro only has one working eye im not surprised
Dude hoarded light so hard he didnt realize it affected HIM too
Also you notice how all his statues in the seasonal area have that blue aura glow?
GOOOOD MORNING/TIME OF DAY YUME nice to see you
the eyes? yes. they also don't have mask diamonds. all spirits appear to not have the specific skykid mask diamond setup.
ah, but what about bereft veteran? jesus...
Haha good morning to you as well Ayngarp, lovely to to see ya around
I don’t know if it’s the eyes…
Some people dont even seem to have masks or maybe thats just a game design flaw
It's strange-- i didn't see any blue aura for any spirits there-- in fact, because we're transported 500y into the past, they might be perfectly alive, and not dead [and with blue aura]
...idk
They’re not spirits yet… they don’t have any reason to have that aura glow.
Yep
This is also what I mean.
ALSO important note on resh is, that even as a kid he still had pointed mask (current design not the old one) unlike other kids around him, if he didnt willingly change it to the star one, it might mutate on him over time (notice he is also still fixated on the color of poncho stargazer gave him before she died, older design also showed him having flame core like skids do while current one is covering it, either with hand or cloth, in every scene, tgc is sneaky)
oh my bad, yes, the statues have the blue aura.
It was also mentioned that this place was the "Last City", what might that mean?
also, hecka interesting point with resh. i don't know what it means but it means something
Uhh… I can take a guess… when Eden explodes, guess what will probably be last to go?
it means rest of the kingdom is already swalloved by darkness and eden is the last surviving bastion
I think the regular diamond mask he had was a crown of sorts when he was coronated after the trials
Oh you mean the one in the prophecy murals to hold all 4 powers?
we don't know if he's the same person who did trials-- as the storyline by the forgetful storyteller separates his descent and his purvey into the trials into two different storylines
i mean it's heavily hinted, but idk
there is no sun visible, the only "sun" is the diamond itself and it goes dark VERY FAST during blackout and krills show up as soon as that happens, there is also mural showing how eden diamond makes safe space while being surroudned by darkness (spoiler tag because it is oob location but we see the mural in two embers first chapter too)
Actually, weirdly the powers from the trials would align with how he’s able to control the Eden Crystal and fly naturally like that.
also, interestingly, the "surrounded by darkness" resembles the map swirls we get when unlocking map stones
anyway, just a note
yes because we "clear darkness" that way, with every patch update and season, we clear more and more of the sky kingdom, thats why there are suddenly new areas in places that had none before
I think maybe they show different people but i think there is pretty strong evidence shown in this channel that he did the trials
i forgot where it is tho
That’s why I think he still has those powers from the trials
we do see in the final trial image, [before it was retconned] that he was able to levitate
oh god... levitate... he isn't the only one to do that
perhaps the diamond embedded in the mask allows people to harness levitation powers? but it's not exclusive to skykids moth mask... oh my god...
Actually yea, others can do that already…
performance theatre plays play "folk tale" versions of actual lore, it could have been twisted in the tale for the "drama " or simply because no one knows resh is actually alef, it would explain the name change (even when the names are no longer canon but the thought was there at one point) and that he didnt wanna be associated with his past anymore so he erased every mention of it, even murals no longer portray him as child of light once he becomes the king
That is also part of the problem, how much of the murals is what actually happened…
I think that because there's still a gaping hole in the middle of the mural, there might be a great reveal at the end of the seasons
idk...
Oh… did you light the torches in the prophecy area?
The completed mural in the main prophecy area, after all quests are completed-- historically it had what seems to be the eden elder ascend to godhood or smth, but it was removed later
That's what i'm referring to, not sure if we're using the same mural
Yes-- the first image is what I'm referring to-- the yellpw spot was removed
"what? that's obviously orange"
this is how the murals are suppsoed to look like #lore-discussion-spoilers message
oh im slow
Sorry if this is off topic or the wrong time,
I found these 2018-2019 screenshots(not mine!!!!) of an statue in eden and some murals, looks interesting to me!!
I really miss light awaits, but sadly i don't have any of my own screenshots saved
Credit to u/ShiraCheshire for the screenshots
it should show after you complete all trials, even if you did and and reenter one, it resets the thing for some reason
thats why you always see the same cutscene like firtst time after leaving every trial
This is incorrect the mural is the same
It is only visible if you light all the torches
All the blue is based on seasonal progression. The yellow light additions are based on when you light torches
Still, based on that mural, everything revolved around them metaphorically
And the only person in lore with that much power to fit the bill that we know of is the king
Could be someone else, but who at this point? Plus the location of it being Eden in the first place is also even more of a push towards someone who has been there
that's true! we also see the elders getting involved, so it could likely be resh's ascent to the eden elder
ok i think i exhausted all my spoons for real now, see ya
Thing is… that could also be orbit… orbit and home/avairy are the only places where all constellations are reachable… aka all around you. So could be someone who reached orbit…
wait, orbit is actually really plausible! we also see the light creatures flapping around it in a circle, much like the real orbit
There is a missing constellation from that mural in orbit though
If you look up in orbit. You can find the 3 skykid constellation. It’s kinda hard to see, but that mural doesn’t have it.
That mural always interests me. I know the lore is that the King successfully completed the Elemental Trials, right?
We have no clue… we have a ton of pieces with no confirmations on any of them
I was just thinking about that. We don't know yet if it's him. So many things to learn

I am 99% sure its him though but im waiting for lore drop on the episode tomorrow

im just wondering how scared the Story writers are of you Lore detectives... great work though

he obv used shared space spell and thats why props and spells are banned in trials
we already intimidated them enough when they sent us survey to fill with lore questions and received over 200 of them
bro.. ngl thats scary
Checks out
Lmao
I can’t believe he also tabbed out during the water trial to cheese the water
lorechat, new 20-second snippet of tomorow's episode just dropped!
||https://fixupx.com/thatskygame/status/1949500118320726093||
omg they are trying to get the galaxy sword
nevermind no one got the ref
Stardew ref yeah
New lore?
https://www.facebook.com/share/r/171eKEpFfZ/
The towers maybe huge light collectors
You may be joking (or not) but the Connections there are real…

we actually saw those contraptions in concept art!
lets not use alterations of this saying please
Yes, back when we thought they were still tower defenses
Lol
I had the chance so I took it
Also there's so much in light awaits that I didnt got to see, like that stuff, I wish they could at least leave it on oob for us to discover, some easter egg hunting.
They could even take advantage of it and make it into challenges for us to find them.
I remember the concept art noting that the giant resh statues were actually defense turrets
i personally dont find it very lol but each to their own
Very what?
What you mean?
which part?
@serene pollen hi! We’d like to avoid any and all references to political slogans in the server, so we have removed your message
Seems like it
Could be both protection against dark creatures— meaning they likely encountered them before the storm due to the experiments done in the labs and factories— as well as against the opposing faction, but how it was used against them? Idk
Ohhh
that is totally fine
I had no means to spread awful propaganda, I just thought it was a funny comment
Thank you for keeping the space free of politics
All good! Thank you for the kind response
(and AMAZING pfp… I love DDD)
OMG I DIDNT EVEN NOTICE THATS DDD (fake fan moment xD)
I'm glad we'll be seeing more technology be used in the new episode, makes me so happy!
And thank you for not taking me to Last City jail
Oh thank you haha
I like this character's design a lot, and I like the power of speed a lot (a lot :p)
Fr
I wanna see some darkstone iPads
HAHA yeah same
