Lol, I corrupted the kingdom and brought on the apocalypse because I wanted to be tall.
oh, i had never seen that concept art before. that definitely puts a few things into a different perspective
all the ( spirits? ) floating above there, are just a single golden spirit light now, floating above when you wake up there
I'll see if I can find the full picture, its in my King compilation, but, small and crammed into a corner.
This is the one, its in "storyline"
In the pins of this channel. Its also one of the few images to get into the poster in the office.
I’m a bit confused on eden. Is it a part of everyone’s journey to return to the stars or just creatures of light? Or even just skykids?
I think sky kids are creatures of light themselves ( atleast partially ) and that cycle is somethin thats a part of them, too
for some reason i never saw the small shape in the eye of the middle one, heh. thats pretty interesting
Could skykids just be regular children that grow into spirits?
it’s not impossible, but i think it’d be rather unlikely. we see ancestor children in the game and they are very clearly not skykids
In the timeline concept art, is fire just a standin for light? Or are they separate concepts.
i think skykids can grow up but not into spirits, mostly because spirits apparently can't fly
WAIT THIS ISN'T COZY CHAT
Lol, but yea, I agree
So im a little confused, based on what we’ve seen in the aurora concert and two embers hidden forest was rather uncharted territory long ago. But this is also the age in which people were united with megabird and participated in the cycle of death and rebirth? If everything past the forest was undiscovered how would they make it to eden to be reborn?
hmm, i'm not sure about the aurora concert but in the two embers video we've seen so far like the switch launch trailer, we sorta see them traveling through a forest before it cuts during a cave transition into isle of dawn, which sortof implies like they're not traveling through the forest we know, but through one to get to the realms.
Oh I forgot to mention I think it’s also in the timeline art
Mmm actually no, it just mentions a “forbidden forest” which could be anything i suppose
hello lore chat! I've been talking with friends about different eden theories and we feel like there's a lot we've missed, but we're not sure where to start with reading up on eden specific lore, do you guys have any advice?
Lore chat can be cozy too
Lots of interesting stuff to talk about
lore, seasons, and eden are sometimes the coziest places to be if you ask me
I recognize names more atleast
Is there any full compile of all lore related text in game?
There is one but it’s very far back in this chat and I don’t think I could find it. @real mortar you can start on the king and the crystals
Oh thank you! I ended up going back to the first message by Aeri when they opened the lore channel and just reading down so I've made it to October 16th 2019 so far
but I'll go look up specifics for those things thanks so much!
oooo....there's even channel for lore.....sukeeee....
Not the slowdown lol
Meeting granny and gramps today made me wonder... if there were old spirits then there prob were generations before too... then who were the first sky people?
As far as I know it's commonly agreed that the seasons could be from any part of Sky's timeline.
Seasons like Remembrance, Enchantment and Abyss, for example, are generally agreed to take place at a later point in the timeline due to their focus on the disaster(s) leading up to Eden's eruption and the aftermath.
Which seasons are the earliest in Sky's timeline are more up to debate. All I've heard is Gratitude and maybe Passage being early in the timeline.
Hmm, i assumed it was based more on the realm that the season takes place in that would give hint as to when its taking place
Same, I like to think the further from Eden it takes place the earlier it was in the timeline
That may be a factor too.
Back then, most agreed that Prophecy took place at the start of the timeline.
Some people theorised Flight happened right before the starting point of Industralizations (The use of Dark Stones), which does explain why its entrance was in Forest.
So yeah, I think the realm it takes place does represent the when it took place in the timeline. After all, each realm is also symbolic of the entire timeline of Sky. (Each being a stage of civilisation)
Hello lorechat, I came in here after lurking for months. I just want to talk about the newest quest because ||holy hell, unironically this might be the first time we saw a live person and not a spirit.||
Spoiler for those who haven't done the quest:
||The deer sacrificed one of their magic for the herb collector, but one thing that I noticed is tat the herb person lacks that star lustre unlike the kinf, princess, and hunter once he was revived. So, if my graphics served me well, this might be the first 'live' person we seen throughout Sky.||
||And also ON SCREEN DEATH?||
That could be a contributing factor, and on avarage it could apply to some extent, but It's probably a lot more complicated then that, especially when it comes to the seasons
Wait, really

Let me check
(15 minues later)
Ok, I did the mission and took as many pics as I could while doing so.
I will admit I thought you were right when I played the quest.....
However.....😅
When I reviewd the pics again and looked reeeeeeeeeally closely, I noticed that the herb sailsman does in fact have the charactistic star luster just like other spirits
Of course, his star luster is way less noticable when compared to most other spirits, especially for this season, the lord
This could just be me talking out of my back cheeks, but considering that the herb sailsman is very purpusfully shown to be a bad selfish person, he might be intentionally presented with less star luster🤔
Mind you this is something that just poped into my head, so further testing and comparisons are required
Ps. How to I put spoiler cover on my text and pics😅
Do we generally consider the timeline concept art canon?
Mostly no, but also kinda😅....
Depends on what you're looking for
With the story changing so much since its creation, the concept timeline is on the whole non canon
However its not totally useless, as the general structure and flow of sky history seams to be mostly the same, even if all the detales, how's and why's have all been tweeked and changed
Concept art is not canon per se. They're glimpses of the development of the game, so they show ideas that lead up or build up to the game's canon. Some ideas might be and have been scrapped and details have been changed.
But some of the concept art can be used to explain bigger ideas of the game, e.g. they illustrate the cycle of life/light. They can be used to supplement ideas and theories and fill in gaps where the game is being vague.
As I said🤣
The story of sky has obviacely been changed and tweeked over the years, but as the concept art is what they were tweeked from, it does hold some degree of trough and relevance in it ( with vareous degrees depending on the specific concept art)
With the release of the artbook, we should have way more context behind what the specific concept art peaces are, when they were made, why they might have been changed......and when that happenes we should be able to more confidently use that to fill in the gaps of sky lore
why does it reminds me of warrior cats heelp
Hey guys, check this out! Tons of concept art from remarkable artist Adam Willis: https://adamwillis.com/new-page-2
tysm for everyone that explained!!
(i'm just replying this msg because i can't reply more than one
) i'll do some more research and make my own theories and conclusions but that was a great start, i also loved seeing everyone interacting and showing their opinions
thanks a lot and love you all!!
Hey guys I’m very new to lore of the game, and I really want to learn about it. I’ve been reading old messages and I’m very confused. Where should I begin? Who is the king? Who are the princes? What is the timeline? There’s so much I don’t know
heya!
i'm also new to the lore and stuff and some people told me the basic so you can go on the message i just replied and read some of what people told me. I could understand a little bit or at least have some idea of whats going on, but i recommend doing a better research after reading everything.
AHEM
ARE THE VALLY ELDERS BOTH MALES OR ONE FEMALE AND ONE MALE? (IK THEU ARE BOHT I THINK GO BY THEM BUT IM HAVING A BET WITH A FRIEDN FOR A HEART)
Their genders are unspecified. So, whatever you want ig
Now you have to BOTH send each other hearts
Aish.. Seems like my eyes deceived me. Thanks for the reclarification

NOT FAIR
SOBS
so I just found something interesting up on top of Eden - also, hi, first time in here! - and I was wondering what y'alls take on this is. That's ||an Elder shrine, isn't it? And it looks a lot like the one in the Vault? Personally, though new to the game and unfamiliar with the lore, my two theories are
- the shrine in the Vault was built after the image of the one up on Eden, after Eden shattered and people had to relocate; or, more alarmingly,
- the shrine in the Vault is itself a memory, a recording, of the Eden shrine ||
Apologies for any typos in advance. I just got my eyes dilated.
As for point 2, the devs did state that the Vault got more dreamlike and less real the higher you went, so it is possible that the vault shrine we see is not the vault shrine that physically exists (see also that the place we go to after the vault elder cutscene looks nothing like the place we were previously in.
The vault also stored people after the shattering apocalypse, so maybe the did relocate the shrine because Eden was uninhabitable.

Here you go!! If you notice anything you disagree with or that’s wrong or something or I didn’t add ping me and I’ll update it 🫡
Devs have said that the elders are ancient beings without any concept of gender so…
They do occasionally use other pronouns (like referring to the isle elder as a he or a grandpa, or forest elder as a “cool aunt”) but I believe this doesn’t mean biological gender and more personal preference or vibes
Maybe both, then?
Hallo @ruby meteor , welcome to the lore chat. Hope you have a lot of fun here.
As for your question...hunestly, while the secund one is a very big possibility, I honestly much prefer the first option you preposed.
I don’t think vault is like… fake per se, I just think the stories in them become so lifelike they become real, cause why can Eden straight up rain shards in the little prince area?
Crescent Oasis 3rd quest lotuses for the floraheads out there
They look like dark flowers but light version
Slightly off topic of lore, but still.
Why do I get the sinking feeling the original island home is quietly being neglected while other realms/Aviary are getting updates?
Why is the old Home getting a lower priority for bug fixes?
Usually when there is a notable bug, TGC would be reasonably fast to fix them.
But now a days it is like, "oh the entire dock is gone? and the spirit there is broken, again?"
"Dont worry! you can see them in Avairy!"
And look, there is a canon defying heart for this new event too! Isn't that neat?"
"Oh, you were hoping for a spirit, or more like a season guide to be the host for this days of Love event?"
Then absolute silence and TGC is running full steam ahead with planning the next event, the next season, the animation project...
All while the game is doing well, in spite of the persistent bugs that have been living rent free for months. Where they became a runnning joke as unofficial canons.
Which one's by chance?
Here are a few examples:
(I'll list them in a separate message).
-
Skykids ghosting each other (not always true when a server split happens WAY TOO MANY TIMES TO COUNT FOR AT LEAST TWO YEARS!)
-
Spirits only appear at the temple on the first time you help them. And yet the game constantly lies by saying 'the spirit awaits at the temple with a blessing' or something like that, and they never show up there. 😦
-
Mantas kidnapping skykids (A very long standing bug where mantas fly low or through terrain and "unintentionally" pick up skykids. As if they cannot be bothered to fly higher in the already open area!)
-
Unreliable darkstone technology. A quirk experienced skykids are used to seeing when gates fail to open when powered, boats occasionally malfunction, and so on as we are lead to believe that these ancient mechanisms are to have stood dormant for "a long time" and yet are expected to work perfectly (or not, who knows).
-
Time is just Broken. Events you have completed would magically reset. Eventhough it may be a way for skykids to help others with these taske like the shard events for example. I'd like to refer to the ghosting rule as well as the idea that these challenges are ultimately meaningless in the grand scheme of things (depending on how you like to see it. I am being a pessimist at this stage).
-
Rogue Krill. It has become an unwelcomed and unspoken rite of passage to have been sniped by a krill you could have sworn you could have avoided. Whether it is a bug, unlucky encounter, or just entering the five coloured deer's season aparantly, we all experienced the betrayal and pain of losing light in a way we had no way to avoid it.
(I am not done!)
-
Going out of bounds. Granted, this one is one of the most benign (harmless) points on the list. It has been something TGC has worked tirelessly to discourage, but skykids eventually manage to find a way despite their efforts. And yet, it has become an inside joke of a challenge to have been able to reach certain places (see the bloody penguin suit OOB in season of Performance)
-
Aurora's musical quest in Wasteland can sometimes include real krill (just hang around for a few minutes or until they are summoned before you start the quest).
-
Capeless skykids. A tricky bug to pull off with little to no benefit. Even though TGC used this quirk as a feature in certain trails in the game throughout it's existence. So apparently according to TGC, skykids are not allowed to remove their capes willingly anywhere they please (there is even an old inside joke about a capeless option for 999 hearts. Which supposedly would never become a feature of the game). That is unless it is when TGC intends for that to happen during a trial, in Eden, or in certain situations (like becoming a crab).
Sorry for the massive text wall.
If anyone wants to add their 2 cents, feel free.
Or start a new topic, lol, that is also fine.
I'm just curious in what way have tgc discouraged players from going out of bounds? As long as players aren't breaking into paid areas, I haven't seen any discouragement of oobs - in fact the inclusion of the penguin costume in performance would contradict that entirely would it not? They put it there so that we could go find it as a fun little Easter egg. There's a lot of hidden treasures throughout Sky that people can explore whilst oobing
So im a little confused on one aspect of the lore and I would like to hear some theories on it.
What does everyone think on where the ancestors pilgrimaged to and what their pilgrimage was for? Did they go to eden to be reborn like us, or did they go to elder temples to permanently ascend to their constellation? Are they predestined to that constellation? Did they exist within the constellation before they descended to the world?
There’s some fun Easter eggs hidden OOB, lol. Like the penguin (theater oob), the bouquet (harmony hall) and the crabs (dream village and aviary shop oob). Plus some great geometry.
Not really lore-related is it
your criticisms are valid, but more appropriate for #live-feedback I feel
I'm not actually sure if they've really done anything to discourage out of bounds stuff? the only time i know they've ever even fixed something was the ceiling hole in vault that disappeared only recently, with the hallway being redone.
i think they even mentioned "out of bounds explorers" in a recent poll of the week
I think the point is to be half joking and making them into lore though, heh
I mean, as game devs, they likely want to try and make their environments as break-proof as possible
but things slip through
they're not blaming the players for it, and are willing to embrace that and that's neat
Actually, the whole raining shards thing ( along with the fact that we can enter and exit Starlight Dessert freely from the wind paths and seeing Edan in the background), is proof that that region is OUTSIDE Voult proper.
In the Crescent Oasis region (curent season area) we see Edan, but there's no shards , no way in or out ,and thrid person naration over everythin, which inply's that this is actually ( as you said before) a very lifelike story ( although one that still takes place in a very real place that does or had existed once)
Not sure what the point of this was, but #report-a-live-bug ?
About the aurora quest in GW
They can show up mid-quest too
Thankfully it seems that the song bubble provides protection
just don't leave it if you wanna keep your life
To reach the penguin, skykids have to navigate past several barriers in a complicated path.
One cannot simly fly straight to the spot without getting blown backwards, or a invisible wall. being in the clouds on the way there would likely end with you teleported back to the middle of the performance area because of a reset barrier in the clouds out of bounds.
Skykids were able to chibi fall, clip, fly through holes, rocket launch each other out of bounds in most cases. And most areas are relatively easy to get to in the game (ex. valley of triumph's elder cut scene coliseum, or the rainbow bridge in isle of dawn). However not all oob locations are that easy to get to.
And some of these have become more tricky (or caused skykids to change strategies) because of additional hard barriers, wind walls, and reset barriers added to certain places.
It is a trick players can still do, and the devs are aware of it. Though there are places and/or reasons why devs make certain areas much harder to reach.
replying got both @cold sparrow and @lean kayak
I have included some of these points in reports and feedback.
The krill in aurora's seed of hope song for example was reported when I realised it could happen (And it has been months later with no sign of change).
And sadly no, @light minnow. The bubble wont protect you should an unlucky situation with the krill occurs. Sometimes, the tempo of the song would let you avoid the krill, and sometimes it would force you to walk into their lights and stand still while a cutscene plays out with your skykid getting beat up by a krill.
This is speaking from experience.
TGC may eventually patch bugs in the game. Though I came to believe they may leave bugs indefinitely if it does not disrupt the game in a major way. If and when someone on the team does get around to looking at the bug, finding the issue, fix it, and get it approved in their spare time not working on new content for future updates.
The few times a bug would be fixed in record time is when a lot of players report it, it affects the currency, shop, candle running elements of the game, it causes crashes or destabilises the game, and so on.
I could've sworn the bubble made me safe when i did it
I had krill for half lf my first attempt, had to restart at one point because i got caught on some random debris and the second attempt was entierly with krill
Only time any of them spotted me was when i left it
But thats not lore related though?
Lore is open to interpretation.
I did preface with saying it is a bit off topic to lore. I was ranting over bugs that have been in the game for a while.
I went over them here in any case, seeing how they could become a headcanon in some ways.
Though it is was mostly a rant filled speculation.
When I first encountered the bug, it was comedic timing as the quest showed the ghost krill, the real ones started appearing too.
After that happened, I enjoyed experimenting with the timing and found out the hard way what happens if you start the quest in a bad cycle with the real krill.
While other runs added a nice challenge to the quest with the different timing you start the quest on.
Ah, that explains. I don't really care much for headcanons, these seemed more like bug complaints to me. My bad, carry on.
Does anyone got lore about the little prince I'm very interested :>
I feel like he’s a “story” within the world of Sky, the collab seasons are half-canon in my opinion, more stories than reality (besides Aurora which I feel is more canon given her historic involvement in the game)
Since they’re stories, it makes perfect sense to have them “in” the Vault! Since it’s like a massive library and also it’s canon that the Vault can create illusions.
I agree but I seem to can't seem to figure out why do all the characters have chains except the little prince the lore is getting deep 👹
I think ive heard it as being something specifically from the little prince story, where the chains are symbolic of them having some aspect of themselves that is holding them back, like the greed of the collector or the spirit with the drinking problem.
the prince doesnt have those, and wonders why they keep those chains on themselves.
Omg that's very clever :0 I never thought of that thanks both you :>
The spirits are all references to the original book
In it, after the Little Prince leaves his his astroid to travel the cosmos, he comes across 6 adoults, each living on there own astroid just like him, and each simbolisng some kind of foolishness and nonsence of adoults. The 6 spirits of the season are all direct references to the 6 adoults, with there entire interaction and much of the original text being lifted streight from the book
Of course the spirits are not the exact same characters as the 6 adoults, as they were changed up to fit within the sky universe.
Some were a bit more changed then others though, like how the SLOUCHING SOLDIER was based on "The Drunk"😅
As for the spirits in universe and there chains, well @edgy kernel gave a nice explanation for it☺️
TGS temselfs have said that spirits were all weight down by there specific vice and dellusion, being bound by it and never truly free ( kinda how adoult are often themselfs the couse of all there problems)
That's not really devs discouraging oobs though, things get fixed either because they are causing other bugs or as a result of them fixing something else and it just happens to affect that particular method of glitching, and so on but in my experience tgc have been very lenient of players exploring out of bounds
As for any oobs fitting into lore, I don't know about that, I certainly don't think the penguin suit does for example
Actually I've changed my mind, I'm now going to headcanon performance guide asking the spirits to wear penguin costumes on stage for a production and they all said heck no and hid the costume up in the cliffs

the lack of vegetation besides grass, dark plants, flowers, and the tree trunks in forest is kinda odd
compared to trees in stuff like the two embers trailers they look pretty dead too. prairie itself is also i think only grass?
I get the feeling the pollution there probably killed the life there, or - this is only whats managing to grow back now post shattering
I need an essay on light awaits rn /j
My message disappeared for me can anyone see it?
I wanted to add it to my notes but it’s gone
If you can see it please copy and paste it into my dms
not sure what message you're mentioning, could have been blocked by skybot for somethin it had in it
Awh man
if the message sent it would have been right above my second recent one now but I guess it didn’t send
Just wondering does anybody know where the darkness came from? or was it always there and the light from the stars that was keeping it in check?
From what we can tell, darkness is natural, but parts of it are in the world of Sky as a part of a corruption of light, most likely to do with the diamonds and "darkstone" we see in raw form in prairie peaks, and in more refined forms as the switches we interact with to open doors, raise bridges etc.
As an example, dark plants and crabs are probably natural, but krill are a corruption of something.
My view is that like light originated from the sky, namely the stars and the place called "The Light", there is probably an equivalent called "The Dark", which could equally be the void of shattering we see in the shard memories, or deep down in the Abyss, or in a darker part of space where "The Light" does not reach.
I've put out here before that Darkness also seems to have a hoarding mentality, from dark plants wanting to hold onto light creatures such as the manta in forest, or literally holding light when we burn them.
or attacking light, such as how crabs attack light props, and us.
That could also be a part of why the spirits fell, as they hoarded light, and possibly created an imbalance.
It's probably out of date at this point, but I was building a whole "theory" on interpretations for darkness #lore-discussion-spoilers message
Post shattering? Is that what caused gw and forest to just, be like that?
I'm not really too sure yet, but what i've been going off recently is that there was a time before the shattering, and a time after. time before would have been prairie, forest, and valley - and after would have been wasteland, and vault. there would have been some time people seemed to have lived after that apocalypse, and the spirits we see in those last two realms would have been people living after it.
forest i think might have been polluted in general due to whatever the process of darkstone production involves, seems to involve a lot of pollution
Well about the last 2 realms....
For Waistland, the most memories, especially the comman ones, lilely happened dureing the war period, which happened before the shatering.
We have the abyss season that seams to be all post shatering, and a few other things like maby one of the Aurora songs and Arc season....but otherwise everything else is pre shatering
The Voult on the other hand seams to mostly be post Shatering
you mention the war as being before the shattering, is there somethin specific you found for that?
I have seen the different faction shields in wasteland, along with the fighting in the aurora memory, and some of the spear soldiers in the memory from remembrance - but i dont think i've ever seen anything saying when exactly it was, or if it was a war exactly
-You mean besides the Aurora concert memory's where you see a hundreds and hundreds of ancesters and matantas battling....
-Or all the remains of weapons, shilds and turrents on the battlefild.....
-Or all many mentions and illustrations of the war in all the concep art, where its all said to happen before the great calamity that brought the kingdom of sky to ruin....
No...you got me there...I cant really think of any concreat reason😋
if you've got the concept art you're mentioning on hand i'd be interested to see it! the scattered weapons i feel could have been there just rotting away for who knows how long though, heh.
and as for aurora i just haven't seen the concert yet
you say ancestors and mantas battling though, is it ancestors vs mantas or a mix on both sides?
Why did not transfer all my sky folders when I got my new phone😭😭😭
Wait....hold up.....I think I saved all the concept art on my google drive
Let me just get that real quick🤔
Some of these looks new to me
The detales of the war itself have all compleatly changed over time, even if the war itself and its place in the story seams to still be intact given all the references to it in recent times
yeah, thats all pretty interesting
been wondering about how that is recontextualized with how things are now
Well we have to watch the animation for that😅
Althogh we could make a few good gases for now.
The couse of the storm and the end of the sky is now replaced with the Edan diamond and the great shatering. No giant corup king this time😅
Also, while the old concept art makes the war explicitly one between ancesters and light creatures, the curent canon inply's that the ancesters were fighring amongs themselfs as much as against the light creatures, inplying that perhaps this was a war between those loyal to the king and those who oposed the regime and joined with the light creatures
Also, here are some screenshots from youtoobe
I think the war you mentioned in your last paragraph has been pretty much the main theory as far as I can remember (season of aurora as you posted pretty much shows it)
Though maybe before it wasn’t as credible, do you think there might’ve been another major player in the war apart from the ones you mentioned and the darkness?
i really dunno where to ask this, but are they a couple ??
They are most likely siblings, love isn't just for couples, it's love for family, friends, pets, nature, even yourself.
Devs said they are twins
Oh ok
Most deffinetly☺️🥰🥰
Days of love is gonna have a different group of spirits in the event area every 2 days, showcasing a different kind of love and bond with each one
Yesterday it was a old maried couple, loveing each other till the end of there days.
Now its the love between siblings ( twins in this case)
Im not know what the other 5 groups will be, but Im shure there will be one with parent child, one with mentor and student, one with classic crush and so on....
i know, just wanted to check
There’s a lot of evidence for it being Valley, though that theory is heavily based on the concert so it’s not as well known now 😔 But I am here to spread the propaganda
#lore-discussion-spoilers message
some of the evidence in question
the way i saw it from the aurora concert was that:
- valley was the greedy one that got too ambitious; they used the light creatures for bad things and caused them a lot of damage
- wasteland was also inflicted damage, suffered more than valley as a result, and also disagreed with the way they treated light creatures. so they and valley fought
i like to think they fought over the light creatures; wasteland was trying to save them and transport them to the vault, and saw the war as them doing what was right, while valley wanted them for resources and saw the war as them taking back their rightful property from a bunch of weak sensitive activists
meanwhile vault elder is just really miserable about the whole thing and trying to save as many mantas as they can, who then end up confined to the vault beyond the lifetime of those who saved them
also, going by where those huge pipes in wasteland go to (eden) it seems like wasteland was either being used as
yknow a land for waste to go
while people were still living there
or, after they were defeated and it was empty, instead of repopulating it the kingdom used it as a place to dump all the bad things they didnt want to acknowledge
Maybe, but wasteland also changed, seen in abyss murals. Also the light creatures I believe to have fought the group of people who were siding with the king and doing damage
yeah, i think that too, actually
i think that the light creatures and people from wasteland would've been on the same side in that
i also think that the abyss murals could've been showing an operation happening in wasteland that could've led the people living there to revolt, maybe it was being done by people following the king and the wastelanders didnt like it being done in their land
i honestly am pretty new to being super invested in lore stuff so im probably missing a lot, but the aurora concert always gives me ideas like that so i thought id check out the theories here and stuff
@hushed steeple The aurora concert does have a lot, but also spirits, murals, paleontology, archaeology, and previous seasons contain lore. That being said, to add on to what you mentioned about a revolt, I agree for the most part but I don’t believe people in wasteland to all be on the same side. Usually there is business being done by people who own precious/important trade goods (can be land, resources, or labor) so which leads to a point where the giant trade of wasteland became corrupt maybe dividing people with an honest trade and those who became rich off of less favorable methods.
ohhh
that makes more sense :D
i definitely want to look into the archaeology part more cause thats always my favourite, i loved when breath of the wild had some cool archaeology stuff going on
im not sure where to start exactly but it'll be fun
is there lore regarding the places in between realms?
I like to think that Wasteland and Valley are connected. I have a headcanon which states that Forest and Wasteland helped the Valley (because Valley is mostly snow and Forest and Wasteland helped the people in terms of resources, etc.)
That headcanon of mine is also aligned to another headcanon of mine that the Valley Twins are the sons of Forest Elder and Wasteland Elder. I can go on and on about this
Valley is by no means the main couse of the trubles that lead to the great war and the eventual fall of the sky kingdom.
The main couse is the greater authority of the sky kingdom ( namely Edan and the King), with Valley being a major contributing factor to the problem since they bebefited the most
Let us not forget the many gigantic statues of the King all over Waistland. You dont get to have that without a good deal of influance and authority over the region
Lets face it, at some point before the start of the great war, Edan had the realm of waistland under its thumb
Although even this is an overly simplistic take on the problems and conflict of sky history.
The best that we can tell, the sides of the war was not one defined by nationality ( valley vs waistland or such stuff), but one of ideolagy. With one sides wanting change becouse of the harm to the world and how that affected sky creatures and comman people, and the other wanting to keep things going as they were becouse they had too much too loose otherwise
@deep sandal made a great point about the traiders of Waisltand, I I belive it probably went much further then that
that is what i meant
i was trying to say that i saw it as the majority of people in valley having one ideology and people in wasteland having another
i am also aware of the king i just was talking about regions so i didnt mention it
I see your point, I apologise if I was a bit to harsh with that.
Its just that I've seen a lot of people makeing out Valley thats a big couse for the problems in sky, when really there more a simptom of a bigger problem.
It also pay's to remember that Edan was technicly a realm too back then, the 7th realm and capital of the sky kingdom dureing its peak, so what I mentioned before about edan and the statues wasnt JUST about the king, but the greater politics of the sky kingdom
I see it this way too, it’s not simply “Valley vs Wasteland” (at least at first, but maybe once the elders take sides it becomes official?) but the ideologies of the people on each side would be roughly along that line because Valley pretty much only sees the positive effects of darkstone while now-Wasteland faces the negative consequences.
The back of the sky art book mentions “the Light and the Void”…. perhaps an opposite of Megabird? (Who is sometimes referred to as just the Light)
The two probably coexisted until the ancestors threw the world out of balance
That's what I was wondering, could that be the Abyss, and the deepest ocean, or like the outer edges of the universe like a black hole
Ooo I can see either one!! As for the deep ocean, someone named sheepydrawings on tumblr drew “seakids” (not canon but I love them, their version of moths are called sardines…)
Also, I talk about Valley this way because I’m obsessed with this topic lol, but I never claimed that they were the only cause of all the problems in Sky. Wasteland, for example, would have had to allow all those factories to be built in the first place before realizing the harm it was doing, Forest mined the ground until there was pretty much nothing left, the other realms and Eden also obviously had roles to play as well. Environmental problems don’t just have one culprit, they happen as a result of collective actions. But the question was if there was another player in the war, so that’s why I was focusing on Valley.
Realizing that it’s time to update the lore blog!! Time to go on a hunt for Megabird pictures - anyone got good ones? Concept art or live game
Do we know what the stars falling really means? Did all the ancestors ascend the fall? Or did stars fall in a sort of cycle with people still on earth.
that makes sense :D to be honest i forgot about eden in that theory anyway because i know less about it than the other realms
you also weren't harsh dont worry
i like having the correct information so being told more is great
also, does anyone know if there's anywhere i can go to catch up on all the lore stuff here
i wanted to read this whole chat but uh
it goes back to 2019 so probably not
I don't know if anyone else has theorised about the "two embers" before, but I believe that there will be some tipe of past future intersecction. By that, I mean, since there are two main characters, one child will be from before the rise of the sky kindom and the other one will be seing it's fall. The child from before the rise will probably be the king, and we'll se from his eyes how he builds the kingdom and how he sees it crumble. While the other child find itself in a fallen/semi-colapsed kingdom, were the king is probably an adult.
The trailer is most likely a prequel, given garbage waste is way cleaner, I think isle has its grass still, and I think the spirits aren’t… spirits yet
Not a bad theory.
In fact, the idea that the two embers in question live in seperate time periods is something that others have theorised before (me included)
In the interview, TGS said that:
“It tells the story of two children, and the drama about the two of them trying to help people. One of them seeks power to change the world, but in the process he’s corrupted and destroyed. The other one tries to save the world by convincing the former world to give up its power. The boy becomes a king"
So that means the king is deffinetly gonna show up
Man. Imagine the King was a Skykid who had to grow up. Because they were the Chosen One...
And when the King went out like a dying star, the ancestors were looking for the next skykid who could become the King.
The Next Chosen One to take their place.
Almost like a star that bruned out, and they tried to replace it and hope it wont go supernova, or turn into a black hole.
Right? /hj /hs
For a while now I’ve loved the idea that one of the reasons the King became corrupted was because he was a sky kid who was unnaturally forced to grow up to take on the role of ruler
I wonder... what the power to change the world was for.
Giving everyone a top hat
I love days of love watching people take pictures of each other, they are divine
what do sky kids look like without the mask? and why do they wear it
this is what the 'faceless mask' looks like
O danggg it’s always pitch black for me so it’s cool that’s how it looks
Question, where does most of the industrial aspects of Sky come from? Aka where is most of the stuff that’s manufactured like metal pipes and whatnot made?
it seems a lot of the technology was initially invented and tested in forest, but most of the scaled up industry for the kingdom happened in the Golden Wasteland
the other day i was on about the shape of the eden diamond quite a bunch, and one thing i could never make out was the actual shape of the center of THE actual diamond inside eden itself, since getting to it is.. dangerous to say the least, and while i was sure the shattering memories were the same model, i couldnt really say for certain.
Well in the literal wireframe view you can see the diamond in the middle rather clearly
so thats cool
Memory 6 gives a very good view of the shard
mhm, I even saw it very clearly in the version with the krill in it. memory 4 i think? but that wasn't the one inside eden itself, i was curious if for any reason it would be somewhat different
Theories as to why some spirits have capes and others don't
The one in Eden turns whiter the closer you get to it and vibrates more, granted these may just be visual things and nothing more.
I kinda want to see what all the pieces look like slotted back together, if it matches the shape of what the forest elder holds. but thats hard without literally having the model for myself lol
There is a mural of it stable I think. And I’m not entirely sure if it’s still stable in the first Aurora song in isle…
this one, yeah.
Also I just noticed this symbol on one of the bags in the song.
Also there’s the prophecy cave with a very similar mural but instead of the Eden shard, it’s a skykid
what does eden mean in the sky kingdom
i haven't checked up on the story of the season of passage as far as i'm aware. but i'm scrolling through concept art and i see "ritual" mentioned in the (title of the blog for the concept art??). i know that concept art isn't meant to be taken as canon, but i'm wondering if we see this "ritual" in the live passage, and if it is a ritual, what is it for? honestly despite passage being one of my favorite seasons, i don't know what their relevance is in the sky lore.
if eden is where the king lives then how come there are pipes there? wouldn't the king want to confine that stuff to wastes or another place
it depends on what exactly the pipes were for, which i dont think is really clear. they could have been piping waste away from eden, or maybe were made to pump water up the mountain to the city.
My own thoughts based mostly on just my own interpretations of things, like maybe water being used to keep the eden crystal cool, or maybe smaller darkstone crystals were used to power up the eden diamond, and maybe produced a lot of waste which got dumped into the water and pumped out of the city, back towards wasteland, basically turning it into a dumping ground over time
hmm true
my current absurd theory is that the eden crystal is almost maybe a bit like a nuclear reactor, or a massively heat inefficient lightbulb - so they would have pumped water all the way up the mountain to it, to keep it from overheating. then all the steam was cursed and corrupted, forming a big storm. Either they ran out of water, or the war broke those pipelines, causing the shattering
Image i find interesting because of just how bright it is and how its almost sorta built to shield too much light from getting out, which is... weird.
is this pic real?
That's from one of the Two Embers trailers iirc
To me it looks to be most likely one huge coliseum type building and not some kind of gigantic water pool to hold the diamond, but it looks blindingly bright in there, and blue lol. Abyss I also theorize to have been possibly always underwater, and that darkstone use or production is heavily linked to water in some way.
This looks like the final section of the ascending area where the elder statues are
Maybe
hard for me to tell with how destroyed everything is
To be honest though even not being able to spot a similarity, the elder statues are present there, and then in the mural near the diamond. I dont think it could be anywhere else heh
by the time youre ascending though its all ripped apartvto fly into the air
That's the season of assembly pendent symbol that used to be on prop bags before they were removed
Not sure why it's there
Unrelated but I've been wondering why are there gyroscopes in valley? Did astrology exist back then?
I mean, with how big a deal stars and orbit are in sky cosmology, I wouldent be suprided.
Although Im not shure if thats all that the Orrery's ( the big spiny things ) are used for.
Given how many of them there are, there probably was some kind of advanced magi-tech function, like a grand light energy mystic mechanism
Some of the platforms under the orrery's are cracked, and it looks like there's darkstone under there
They are Spherical Astrolabes (also called Armillary sphere, lol
They supposedly helped track/read stars.
Although some of these things seem more decorative than practical.
One that seemingly fits a practical model best would be the big one in the middle of citadel because it has an orb that represents the planet (if it was earth, the orb would represent that)
Oh wait. hold on.
I knew alexdolly called them an Orrery ( #questions-and-help message )
Not to mention a lot of other older players.
I wonder if it was what the area was called.
Astro lab is what these kinds of contraptions are often colloquialy called, though a proper astrolab is actually more like a watch
Orrery is the big 3d model that we see in the Citadel
Ye.
Looking them up, there are different designs and uses for them. Some were decorative, others had some use to show people how a solar system looked (or just a bunch of celestial bodies like stars), and some were functional time keepers (they were able to track dates even).
That and several cultures in history had their own takes on the same idea. Namely the Chinese armillary spheres, Europe (Germany, French) , India, Rome, Islam, and so on.
Some included the earth and moon, others focused on the constellations, some showed the entire solar system and some were based on older theories on what they believed the heavens looked like (such as a model that had the earth with everything else orbiting it).
What confuses me a bit is why the word "Orrery" specifically?
An Orrery usually looks like a dial with orbs representing planets moving around it in a mechanism.
They usually don't have the rings around the celestial bodies (unless it is part of a certain model's design or just decoration)
While it is believed Greeks had working planetaria, a working mechanical invention was built in 1704 (source: History of Science Museum, Oxford) .
Armillary spheres dated much further back (which may match the ancient aesthetic of Sky). They were also known to have rings (most of which would surround an orb that represents the earth).
I am curious if the name orrery was used in the game a while back and people stuck with that, or it was a name someone just gave?
Because, if it was an actual name a dev gave, I would like to know why that word in particular.
Well it was used in the sky wiki
I checked it before since I forgot how to spell the word😅
My best guess is that TGS though Armillary spheres ( which is the clossest to what the things in the citidel look like) didnt sound as interesting as Orrery😅
Omg i was thinking bout those pipes are for store stuff like goods or fuels or something like that
Ye. I saw while looking up the words to write that comparison.
Looking in this server also shows several mentions of Orrery in the older versions of the game. Some mentioned a quest that I think either refers to the manta whisperer's quest (because back in the day, the quest ran differently. It used to have all the fragments running at once and had players scrambling to get them all before time runs out), or possible a different quest that no longer exists in the citadel (namely the rhythm bird season quest).
Or even an old name for citadel (possibly a translation).
I actually remember that from way back when, as when I first started playing there were people and sites that refeard to that place as eather citadel or orrery, so its possible that was an old name for the area when it was new
I dunno if I misunderstand ur message but as how I understand urs is what the power change the world ( sky kingdom ), i think that the power was of the big red diamond-shaped shard or we could call “darkness power” cuz it make the king into another person ( my eng is bad sorry 😭)
Dont worry dear☺️
As for your theory, it does make some sence, and its even suported by the official Two Embers interview TGS gave
Hey @nimble ingot, there is a theory I wanted to mention before but got distracted by IRL😅
I strongly belive that what we call the secund race area was probably something of a highway that went through the mountains and conected the more well off city's and population centers of Valley.
ye!
There was an older concpet that showed the devs playing with the idea of skykids flying through a city.
Then they had to figure out how to do that without nuking the game with so many building assets, lol.
These urban areas probably didnt stop at just what we see, but extended out in boath directions, perhaps for miles at some points ( same thing goes for the other race)
The warriors song of Aurora probably takea place in these periferal areas,
Precusely☺️
Ok, now that were on the same page, its time for the actual theory😅
Even in the live game (see the image of the final stretch towards the colliseum).
We dont really get to see the dream village from the race, even though we can see the race from the perspective of dream village.
The game tries to account for the disconnectedness of its open world(-ish) setting. But it sadly does not do the game justice.
I would love it if someone were to find a way to show how all of the areas of the game would look like rendered in in full.
Not just a hollywood style dummy of distant locations. But a true open world exploration of Sky. A way to truly travel from place to place.
Imagine being able to swoop down from the valley race to the dream village, or fly up a cliff to reach hermit peak. Or even fly up to Eden via the clouds, and not just through the usual way we have been travelling through the realms for roughly 4/5 years.
What if the gates that we pass through the race arent just for show, but actually controle the wind curents along the path
We know this is something the ancesters can do, even in anchant times with the bells and gates, so this could be a much more advanced and controled version of this art
And whats more, what if these curents werent all one way originally, but could could go boath ways if were desired, creating a litteral highway that spaned from the Citadel to the Coloseum, conecting all the city's and villages along the way
I like to think the race way used to be an old wind path the mantas used to take.
The ancestors took advantage of that with their boats using it as a highway, catching mantas and even building a race way along the path to race the same mantas through there.
Seeing how fast and wild a manta can get, it was perhaps easier for the ancestors to rely on the manta's migration instinct to ensure they keep to the race path and hang on for dear life.
Almost like horse races, jockeys dont really steer the horse, seeing how the horse has only one way to go when running with the rest of the pack (not herd seeing how the horses are trained to compete with each other to run the fastest). The jockey just needs to stay on their horse and make sure it runs as fast as it can while keeping other jockeys from sabotaging them (i.e. hitting other horses, riders or pushing each other).
It is a ruthless sport where winners are not always the best of the best. Like gambling, the house usually wins and the race track is sadly no stranger to rigged races.
I may be wrong on certain details (admitting that I have not done a ton of research on horse races), not to mention the Sky equivalent to these manta races may be different to their real life counterparts.
It does make perfect sence that the ancesters would have originally chosen to built villages along this path becouse it was the main path of manta migration☺️
Later on as those villages grew into towns they took control of that pass for there own purpuses👍
Another interesting tidbit is how the valley was constructed.
The 'high society' or 'upper class' was constructed higher up on the mountain. While the 'down town' or 'lower class' are seen lower by comparison.
This is further empathised at the humble look of Village of Dreams in comparison to the glamorous aesthetic of the citadel.
The races also subtly carries these themes where the sliding race seems to have low tech equipment (snowboards, sleds, or even on foot), and the flying race uses mantas with their riding equipment and presumably higher trained athletes.
Exactly🤩🤩🤩
Although, what do you think of the idea that the wind curent and gates could go boath ways
Obviacely with the fall of civilization the whole mechanism is busted, but I like to think they might have exerted more contole when the ancesters were at there peak, haveing this not only being a race track, but also a transport and trade hub for the people of the more uper class regions
I wish we could see more boats in Valley (in the game)
There are legitimately more boats in dream village than in the rest of the game in one area. And they were not even private transport, as they are just there to move the public up and away from the village to higher vantage points (like a skii lift or sky tram).
Having flying boats in the race way would make sense for when there are no races at a certain time. And in teh game would make for interesting obstacles while flying past the buildings.
These concept art also helps show the realm has a duality between the 'wealthy' and teh 'working' classes.
Another "Twin" element for the realm, lol
I know☺️
I already posted its tween before🤣
And I dont belive the winds were always so powerfull all the time.
This could be me, but I didnt feel like there were curents so powerfull in the Warriors Aurora section
I belive that that its the gates that make that couses the strong curents and alowes for the race in the first place
I was looking for an image with both.
But settled with the other image and then replying to yours, lol
Possibly.
it is also possible the winds could have naturally shifted. Or the mantas found a new path that avoided the city.
Think about it, those people living in the upper class citis would need a way to get back to the coloseum after visiting, and would need to function and comute without risk of the wind blowing them away or getting hit by racers
When you go past the gates, your turbo charged.
If you run those gates in reverse, you can form a curent that can easaly take people back from Colloseum and into there homes
This would give the race area a kind of Venice feel, with people takeing boats to get to where they needed to go in the city
Also makes a lot of sense since the twins were given the air element
Well...that might be a factor....but I think most of it is just the mastery of crystal technology, and the rich abusing it for there convineance
Sure that’s a valid opinion, but I find it more possible there was also public transportation and it was available for all (the big boats as small buses) and the twins having the wind element eased in the creation of the gates
My thoughts exactly
But thats all in the upper class districts that make up the secund race track
The other race area doesnt have stuff like that
That’s simply a sport though (could also be a highway) used as both
But if it was a highway it’d have to be closed for the sport(But there’s mantas so it just doesn’t make sense to be both since it’d be inefficient)
Ahh, im mostly wondering their motivations. They wanted the power to change the world, but their reason for why or what they wanted to do with the power isnt known yet. It seems to me maybe they had noble goals to use that power for, but the seeking of that power is what ultimately corrupted them
Sport is a fact of life in Valley😋
Has anyone pondered this question? What is the name of the planet that sky takes place on? Any ideas?
we just don't know
we would just be making names up
Yeah there's not any hints of what name the ancestors might've used in the game
sky pretty much avoids any actual names and its more titles or descriptions of a spirit, usually. Even the original elder names in concept art and things arent present anymore at all, i think
Yeah the elder names are concept art only now
are the spirits actually dead in the game?
I think yes cuz we can meet them in orbit and orbit jus like a heaven in sky when we reborn 🫣
knowing this makes me upset lol
Me too i couldn’t accept this fact tho but how about the spirits was being affected by the darkness power from the big red diamond/shard in eden and turned into those broken statue covered with darkness plant?
Bc if they ded so why they can return as ts or we can relive them as many as we want? So maybe they were being affected by the darkness power
yeah my theory is that once eden went crazy throwing shards and darkness everywhere and it killed the spirits
Yes ;-;
I use elder name as my name in game 💀
That's pretty much confirmed
The aurora concert shows us just that happening in the GW section of it
The ancestors had their civilisation collapse when the shattering happened and darkness overtook everything
I think that while they are dead, they're not gone per say, their souls and memories are trapped in their darkness frozen bodies and we help them all move on. but even after that, they aren't really gone, or like, have completely moved on or something. so they are still sorta around, helping us rebuild whats left after most of the darkness has receded, passing on all the things they learned in their lives so we dont have to make the same mistakes, or something like that
They even hang out in aviary and whatnot, i dont think the spirits are just soulless memory recordings ( if they were that would be extremely depressing
LOL )
Good evening, lore chat.... (MK1 reference HAH)
I pose a thought, what if we call the light that shines from Eden when you're far away from it, the "Beacon of Hell"?
Some think that spirits can gain an ascended status but still be able to descend to visit
It's been a really long time such I've played Sky (last I played consistently was during season of the little prince), and I assume the lore has shifted a lot over the last while. Anywhere I can get caught up?
I dont know about the secund one, but the first one is deffinetly concept that was used for very early Light Awaits.
My headcanon is they died long ago and were stuck in limbo of memories from their lives until we go to Eden.
Their spirits were so corrupted by Eden's darkness they can't be absorbed by the Megabird to be reborn. It just cleanses them, making them conscious beings, and that's the form we see them in in Aviary- still spirits, but capable of kind of living and interacting with the world and each other now.
For a lower class level their cosmetics sure looks royalty
Shows how much effort they put in to make themselves look grand and stand out.
Note, when comparing the rhythm masks to the performance ones. Rhythm's are theatrical and fine (like porcelain), whereas the performance masks are made for the stage (practical).
Aside from the guide's golden crest details, the rest of the masks have less golden accents compared to the rhythm group (whose guide is notably not like the others with their bird themed masks).
I KNEW IT
Almost every sky area is just an infinite sea, why?
Bruh it's just an eden gate asset floating around😭😭😭
Prob a base for the map, no lore intended
Where can I find these manuscripts?
what this
How do you get there?
Top of vault, not sure what it represents
yea i took the pic on the 1st part of Eden, just wondering what that building/thing is
if it's on top of that big dome thing, that's the top of the vault!
is it just an ornament? it kinda looks like a cannon lol
im pretty sure it's just an ornament! that symbol and ones like it are pretty prevalent in the hidden forest -> vault stretch
off topic but idk how i never saw these statues before!! this is probably the closest look at the twins ive seen- also, i find it interesting how their arm-somethings are present even in the statue
its majorly freaky how they have full like- defined faces and everything though
even the maskless/alt maskless barely have any definition in them
noses
they had..... SNIFFERS....
also
i think the valley, pre fall at least, must have been rich as all hell because of the sheer amount of gold on everything
prairie has gold (and possibly tarnished gold on gw (abyss+temple) + gold mechanisms in isle) but afaik the main hidden forest has almost none, + vault doesnt have any to speak of either
maybe it's because of forest's status as a manufacturing area and vault being a sort of repository for all knowledge but valley just has a Lot
i know the gold theme is probably just because of valley's perpetual sunset/glowing of youth and athleticism/gold = first place, but from a like,, from a society perspective it seems p cool too
How?!
its just in Eden on the climb part
How you got there I’ve never seen it
Vault exterior
It's the rock climb bit of Eden, so just going through the Eden door. It was on the side in the background, I didn't try getting close to it.
huh. im not exactly sure what it is, but the shape looks just like forest elder's face accessory ( both the one they wear, and the glowing elder version )
It resembles eden a lot, i wonder if those patterns could have been some sort of realm symbol for eden
noting specifically the extra squares on the sides and top, which mirror those accessories having an extra bit there in those spots
im unsure if its a symbol of forest, or eden, or if forest's symbols are just of the eden crystal itself
i should try and compile all the images i have relating to that symbolism in one image
took a stroll through forest and noticed one of the windows in the temple has a similar design, and grabbed some other general light/diamond within diamond shapes i saw around as i walked to the temple. Just some light/eden symbolism to maybe notice heh
I think it’s meant to represent darkstone, as Forest was involved in darkstone processing? I’ve heard the elder masks represent their jobs
certainly related to it somehow, yeah. the two layers i see a lot in the various shapes and related things, all seem to be very close or meant to represent the eden crystal's shape. I'm pretty convinced forest elder created, prototyped, or atleast assisted somehow in the design process, or was responsible for some part of it.
Are there any theories or speculations on the next season?
Yes, this can be very much true based on extrapolation.
Isle elder mask is shaped like a boat signifying the migration/movement of workers.
Prairie is pot/vase shaped for how light energy was captured and shipped in pots.
Forest is darkstone shaped for the mining operations that took place in its caves and blacksmithing in the region.
Valley elders are halfmasks to represent the duality of the entire region.
Wasteland is a knight’s armor/warrior mask as the region was likely on the edge of society and needed defending. It also was embroiled in a civil war some time before the apocalypse.
Vault Elder is the same headdress shape that all the other memory archivists in the Vault have.
The shield accessories were originally masks, I don’t remember exactly what they looked like though
is there a web or something where i can read the lore of sky?
...and so unsurprisingly, after completing all available quests from spirits, there's not much left to do for a solo wanderer aside from constant runs to complete the constellation, and oob hunting. I wonder what happened to the story from the Isle of Dawn—
Now, I want something that has more substance into it. But the entire lore of Sky can be quite intimidating on its open-ended multiple self-interpretations for my tiny brain to comprehend. What exactly happened to the lore of Sky?
if you mean a wiki, there is a fandom wiki but that's more geared towards explaining game events and mechanics. there are pinned messages about things like the upcoming two embers animation, season of shattering memory poems, concept art, etc. and the art book for sky is available for preorder; synopsis refers to events in the past as being "centuries ago"
beyond that, the majority of lore is up to interpretation. many things will remain unclear until later content sheds more light on things.
let's take mantas for example.
-
valley coliseum spirits indicate that the ancestors used to ride mantas for sport. mantas are freed from battery maker in forest temple.
-
season of sanctuary shows that mantas were a threatened species to some extent, and the season was all about restoring a habitat where even the rarest elder manta could return.
-
season of abyss shows that the kingdom's dependence on diamond batteries led them to experiment on mantas to artificially increase the number of wings on a manta to generate more energy, down to genetically engineering an elder manta that was later corrupted by darkness which drew dark dragons to wreak havoc on the lab. this corrupted elder manta only came to know peace since the events of the season of abyss allowed a sky child to cleanse the darkness from the initial juvenile manta the elder had been borne from (the same that instructs you how to swim when you first enter treasure reef)
-
season of shattering manta memory mentions misplaced trust and "merciless harnesses"
-
season of aurora showed that mantas were harmed in a battle outside the wasteland temple, the epicenter of industry and diamond manufacturing. and that mantas were captured en masse in the valley of triumph, along what could be their traditional migration routes akin to fishing. and let's not forget competitive racing!
-
season of 9-colored deer shows that mantas can be hunted on foot as well
all that remains is a silent call, is the earth colored red?... oh no that's the krill light ahead
and i gathered all this from looking at tom zhao's concept art for sky (https://www.tomzhao.com/sky1), and paying close attention to the memory quests and environmental storytelling like murals and clutter
certainly there may be other players and fans of the game who put out their interpretations in more accessible formats. but part of the fun is the very lack of specificity, and being able to come up with your own answers
(I actually posted this in questions and help channel but ill post it here too)
so i have a question, and this may sound ridiculous but i just wanna know
so us skykids are basically children made out of light, but there are times when we hold hands with friends, we can hear our own heartbeat (if you listen close enough, also eden spoiler). ||Even if you venture in Eden, you can also hear your own heartbeat.|| But that got me thinking,
Even though we’re made out of light, do we have organs????
(I asked this to a friend of mine and this immediately broke her shxisbduh)
Well here's the thing
Our souls and the core of our being is made out of light....but we still have phisical bodies as sky kids
The being of pure light is what we are in orbit/comeing down to sky ( you actually see us looking as wing lights flighing down to earth in the new intro) and what wing lights, but in the concept art its says that when we fall down to earth, we "MATERIALISE" a body around ourselfs
Even most light creatures are not entirely made of light, with mantas, maneties, whales.....all haveing phisical sceletons.
Only much simpler creatures like the butterfly's and maby jellyfish are pure energy
Im not entirely curtain if we have actual organs (we do know that we dont bleed and our body's can crack like stone). We might have an equivilent to it, but its probably not one to one to what humans have😅
The pulsing of the heart doesnt neceseraly need to be a human organic heart, but rather pulsating energy from our light cores coused by emotion, which is why you can still hear a hearbeat even when your pure energy in orbit (or maby thats just pure gameplay quirk😅 )
That is the top of the Voult temple seen from outside ( aka, from the side of the enterence to edan)
Its kinda similar to how you can see the back of Priery main temple from the begining of Forest
Also just to clarefy, the "Voult temple" is basicly the top flore of voult from which you exit.
Since most of the realm is just one verticle tube it can get difficult to visiolise😅
Quite so☺️
Also, possible reference to old
Dailight elder here

I apologize for how messy this is!! I’m currently in the process of updating it as I prepare for Two Embers
^^^
could someone link me to any discussion about aviary mural? the one of the constellations, infinite world, etc?
I like to film megabird on game because I have plans to make a video
Check the link I posted above, I discuss it briefly in there!!
Thank you, I am now specifically curious about Sky's flora and fauna. I will read everything in that wiki then proceed to somehow connect the parts regarding environment and ecosystem
Here’s some screenshots of the Manta Capture from the Aurora Concert:
What is the height for Skykids ?
Kinda hard to say.
Best calculatios right now put chibi at around 2 feet ( maby a little above that) with the size of sky kids ranging from 2.5-over 3.5 feet
please don't cold ping me about a message from hours ago. I had never even asked for screenshots of anything...
omg amity I know you from tumblr hiiiiiii
i am curious for all the lore regulars here i have not met yet, what are your thoughts on limbo? (please @ with reply)
Limbo?
Like, the big void realm that you enter at the end of edan/ shard memories/swollowed by Laviathan?
Or are we talking about something complestly different?😅
Yes! We’re talking about the same thing. Specifically, I’d especially want to know about the one in Eden, since it has a lot of symbolism that can be interpreted a bunch of different ways and I’m curious to see everyone’s takes on it. My bad for not specifying which limbo I meant earlier
Unfortunatly I really need to go now and cant talk ( even though I really wish I could😭)
Whenever you get the chance to explain your ideas is great, no worries!
Super short interpretation....
Its not a seperate area or time, but a state of being. A leyar of reality between life and oblivian
In boath edan and when your swollowed by the laviathan, you are at the verge of death, yet your soul persists in this "limbo" reality, and can still effect the world
Also, could very much be wrong on this one, but its posible that the trile realms are kinda between the voind world and real world
( like the space between the space between😅
Only diping your feet in void realm, in a pocket dimention space unboubd by ridged reality
Or maby Im just mumbling in my sleep right now😅
Bye😴😴😴😴
Sleep well! I’d love to see expansions on these concepts when you have the chance.
Sorry if this is a bit silly, but do any of you guys have any ideas as to why Hidden Forest’s rain hurts our Sky Kids? Or is it more of a simple “rain clouds cover sun, and so rain hurts light”?
polluted water from wasteland, most likely
Thank you… Though they seem rather far. Why wouldn’t it also be in Valley of Triumph?
rain shadow effect like in western Washington? may be worth reading up on meteorology
Or does snow not hurt as effectively, plus the sun is out?
I suppose so, yeah sorry, not the best at this
So then, there must’ve been a time without the practically acid rain in Hidden Forest?
Also, is there anything showing how the trees are affected by the rain?
Because they are tall, but that might’ve been before the contamination… Though it’s still odd they remain as tall as they are
Yeah ok I’mma stop lol thank you
I disagree with this, because of two reasons
- despite seemingly permanent rain, the water ponds on the ground never became polluted
- the prairie peaks area also has a rain sequence in the moments quests, despite prairie being pretty unpolluted
There's a spirit who seems to imply the rain is really cold, but that also doesn't suffice because we're perfectly fine in the valley, or in any other non polluted body of water really
There is such a thing as freezing rain, though. Sure snow is colder, but freezing rain is really cold. I headcanon that Skykids' light is drained not just by polluted water, but also water that's really cold, like ice water or freezing rain
that also matches with the idea that eden is really cold and the dark crystals could be like ice, especially the ones that grow on you when you die
maybe light and dark are actually also warmth and cold
that still makes valley a problem in any version of the idea though-
True though, why doesn't our light get drained when simply existing in Valley? Possibly cuz most of the water in Valley is either ice or snow, which is water in its solid form? Idk

Also, I love your pfp Deerlin

Maybe because Valley is high above the Eden storm clouds while the rest are below it?
oh thank you :) im not the one who drew it sadly , and i havent been able to find who did, but when i do I'll make sure to add it to my about
i like this theory, we just need to deal with the valley and how clouds charge us up fast
clouds are water so you'd think they would have the same effect as rain
Well Forest also had factories, so it’s reasonable that it would also have a degree of pollution (and it would be the pollution that drains our light)
Oh, didn’t even notice you all replying, thanks all!
Clouds reflect a lot of light, so rather than drain light, they recharge us
Clouds are another form of water, an accumulation of mist from evaporation. Rain is a by-product of clouds be it polluted or not.
If the water is already polluted, then the clouds should distinguish our light as well. Yet clouds generally will charge us up including the ones in the Hidden Forest.
Might be due to evaporation. The entire rain cycle is nature's way of recycling water, so it might be filtering out the pollution.
Now the rainwater mixes up with something like a polluted air, but this still does not explain how the accumulated water on the ground doesn't affect our light, and the air doesn't hurt us either.
Well unless we include the ground since it is indeed still part of the rain/water cycle. The pollution is way heavier than water itself, it sinks to the ground faster, absorbing.
Now, this can be quite farfetched, but the air may not be exactly polluted yet but the chemical reaction of water/rainwater contacting and mixing with the air around Hidden Forest may be what's causing it to be polluted.
The boring and obvious answer is that it’s for ease of game progression. The “dark” levels, like Forest, Wasteland, and Eden, all have some kind of roadblock that prevent you from advancing quickly, and the rain in Forest serves that role while the rain in places like prairie peaks hurting us would just feel strange.
However, if you want to tackle it in lore it would probably be some variant of the rain being polluted with bits of darkness — Forest is a super industrial area and it’s not out of the question that pollutants could have made their way into the water supply, like acid rain irl. Doesn’t explain why the standing water there doesn’t hurt us but yknow
if we bring in the irl logic of acid rain, the clouds should be polluted as well, yet it can still charge us.
my brain is screaming to me that it's just game mechanics Haha but you know Haha
The inconsistencies in the lore make things really frustrating sometimes, so you're not alone

Thank you guys so much for all of your answers and possible explanations for my question ^^
Tbh I’m not the most knowledgeable person on these kinds of things haha
In cases like this, on how we're trying to explain fictional things with real life science, we can't help but nitpick certain instances like with water cycle, acid rain, cloud reflecting multiple lights inside it, and chemical reactions Haha
But technically, these instances do happen irl.
Now I just gotta find a way to connect this with freezing rain, since I like that headcanon paired with warm or hot and cold.
Well to be fair, its not all of the clouds that carry the bad rain, just the specific ones over the lowlands of Forest ( and on ocasion some that find there way in beighboring priery peaks)
But yes, for the most part its probably a game mechanic thing.
Hopefully with the animation will get a better idea whats really going on
can those clouds charge you up to?
I'm not shure if you can reach that high up🤔
You go out of bounds if you go that high and eather cant go higher or are teleported to a checkpoint
Then again, I could be wrong😅
hidden forest i assume? can the clouds charge you up?
so yes clouds do charge you up
we already have a proof here but I'll personally test that later as well 🤔 exploration is fun 😌
Hold up...where in hidden foreat is that?
Becouse in places like elevated clearing and the start of the realm there are no rain clouds
Oh who am I kidding😅
This is probably all gameplay related.
I might be looking too deep into this
it's my first time participating in lore discussion, I still don't know anything as much as you guys, like where do we draw the line when it comes to making lore?
Yo you guys didn't forget the animated series called sky the two embers?
No no no dear, your doing great☺️
Im sorry if we might have scared you off with his😅
Wdym "draw the line"
As long as we don't break server rules, any convo is valid really
PILOT EPISODE IN MARCH WERE NEARLY THERE
Hope it's coming soon, can't wait
this game taught me that self sacrifice is good
🐟
Wait what?
Yeah the Two Embers pilot episode is supposed to be in March!
Where did you find that info?
It was in an article that had one of the trailers let me find it!
I feel like this should be easy to answer but… I’m drawing a blank… you technically eat food in the game, but there’s no visible mouth…
We have actually seen what your talking about on maskless ancesters
Why haven’t I heard much about this?
Have you seen the trailers?
I’ve seen some of them, did they have dates on them?
Nope, all the dates and detales are from interviews
Also, there's the sky wiki😅
https://sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/Sky:_The_Two_Embers
I can barely use that site… it’s so laggy
Well I dont have the pic with me right now ( I'll try to find it later), but they dont seam to have a visible mouth, have a very simple face and glowing eyes
A part of that might just be limited detale on mobile game to be honest😅
Actual spirits might have more defined detales on there faces, but thats what we got for now
I don’t see a functional purpose for a mouth though, granted it’s not confirmed if skykids need to eat or not
Thats been my plan for the past 3 months😅
The eating part isnt neceseraly the biggest problem😅
That would be the whole question of blowing instruments and how they work
( trumpets, fluits, ocarinas...)
Instruments in Sky though can be sorta weird. Like the Aurora Voice produces sound somehow? So there might be some weird thing behind those kinds of instruments working
True
Sorry, love to talk more on the subject, but I gotta go now😅
I wonder if the concept of making the Eden shard was to cast the largest possible light, but they forgot the largest lights make the largest shadows. Or something metaphorical like that
I imagine in a metaphorical way, eden, the city, and the practices of the ancestors at the time regarding light creatures probably did cast quite the shadow over the realm
Is the kid from the first Aurora song the assembly guide?
That's more likely the Running Wayfarer, the spirit who is presenting this song/memory and who shares some naming semblence with the song
really super late reply, sorry Haha when i say draw the line, i mean when making our own headcanon, when should we accept it's just game design and there's no meaning behind any of it.
No need to specifically answer tho, since I meant it to be an open-ended question. But you're right, I understand that as long as we don't break server rules ~
i mean
headcanon is your own personal thing so at the end of the day, you draw your own line there
yes, exactly
personally i try to avoid chalking it up to game design as much as i can because i find it a lot less fun
as in i only use that explanation when there's an open logical contradiction, not when something is just unknown
Is it canon that the starry look of the vault and cosmic mantas are from broken memory holder things? (
<-- looks like this)
You can see faint facial details on the Aurora spirits’ cards
usa
what?
The stary sky is a possibility, but I greatly dissage that the spirit manta are projection or illusion at all.
We actually see how a spirit manta is created, witu us lighting candles around a sceleton and manta calling, giving rise to a tiny spirit manta right above the sceleton.
Whats more, it was hinted in concept art and even seen in early light awaits that you can do this exact same thing in Daylight priery. A sceleton is found on a distant island, and you summan spirit manta from it.
At no point in voult, starlight desert, or old version of Priery are lanterns observed to summan mantas, but in almost all instances where its directly observed, bones are involved in some way.
we do get a prop that projects some spirit/cosmic mantas, the ultimate item from remembrance, heh.
As we power up vault and climb to the top though the spirit mantas start showing up, including the much larger cosmic creature with the memory lanterns on its back. That one is interesting because those lanterns show up when we power other vault stuff up. The bones of those creatures are floating or sitting around nearby too, so i'd suspect they figured out a way to trigger those summonings with the mechanisms of the vault.
As far as the final cosmic mantas that spiral up towards the top, I dont remember if they had any bones nearby, I sorta wonder if some of them are from projection lamps and some of them ( the more free floating ones earlier in vault ) are from the bones.
There are floating bones everywhere around that final level where the cosmic manta is
( giant ones too)
i mean the final floor, where i believe there is just one large skeleton, but many small mantas? been a bit
Yes, thats also the flore where you have the cosmic manta too, and also smaller sceletons among the big ones
Also all the small spirit mantas come from bellow, not from the projection of the diamond
that larger cosmic creature... it has multiple side wings right, carrying four lanterns on it's back
how many cosmic manta spirals up again ?
my first impression of that creature is they are multiple mantas lined up into one and my phone's internet connection is just lagging. Or maybe they really are multiple cosmic mantas flying synchronously in a line.
Oh no, your eyes do not device you😅
There is only one cosmic manta in Voult, and best guess is that they are the spirit version of something similar to the elder manta we see in Sanctuary islands ( only less wings)
There's 4 iirc. 1 huge one, 2 small ones flying next to it. And a fourth one, kind of, cause it's invisible but can be seen with big honks.
Theres also the ones that fade in and out, that spiral up at the final part of vault to carry you up
There's:
3-4 "ultra"(?) mantas (the ones with many wing flaps)
1 baby ghost manta (at the manta skeleton)
And I didn't count the ones carrying you to the summit. But they're there.
There's also the one manta in Starlight Desert, which is technically part of Vault.
We're only talking about multy winged spirit mantas specificly
Mix of words i think, since the phrase i think both of us read was "there is only one cosmic manta in vault"
and there are quite a few of those, just smaller ones
Yeah, that's the 4 I'm talking of.
The 4 ones on the preceous flore?
The whale bones level below the summit. There's the big one with the light lamps on its back, accompanied by two small ones (also multiwinged) and there's one that's invisible waaaay in the distance I can see through the honking white effect, looks about the same size as the big one.
I'm too comfy in bed to get on my PC and take screenshots
Oh, yeah, thats true 🤔
Sorry, when you mentioned starlight desert, I thought you were talking about something else, since that doesnt have multiwing spirit mantas😅
You are absolutly right about the bone level☺️
( would explain the smaller scelerons on that stage)
I was talking about the multiwinged ones at first but then Flight guide mentioned the regular winged mantas so I felt the need to list ALL vault mantas I'm aware of
The place is crawlin with em
👍
Dont forget the one in season of rememberence area
There any bones in there? I dont remember that one
There is spirit manta
We dont see bones, but then again we dont see it summaned in the first place, so that seams like a more permanent spirit ( kinda like the one in strarlight desert)
Then again, its remaims might just be off acreen somewhere else😅
Do you think they shoved manta bones into the projector?
I dont think there would be any bones left if that were the case.....
But it is a morbidly funny scenario to imagine
that's super cool, i need an entire book about Sky's creature and plant life Haha
I might do something like that ( like a google doc thing) 🤔
One day perhaps
Surprise lore theory.
The Godlen Wasteland (formelry called Shores of Mana, or Dusk ) is a realm that represents a time of day right after sunset, but not yet night. Just like how the realm is between Valley of Triumph (Sunset) and Vault (Night).
Usually sunsets are reddish, golden colour. But the realm's sky is a Sickly ominous green.
In real life, this can happen as a phenomenon when the clouds above are very heavy with rain or a severe storm.
The Wasteland is right at the foot of the Eden Mountain, and at its peak is Eden (where the storm is).
That said, the Golden Wasteland might have been a different colour and less cloudy before the storm broke out. With the clouds blocking so much light, the realm became a breeding ground for Darkness to spread.
This may explain why that realm is such a corrupted state.
Not to mention make it a harrowing setting for a war to break out. (Probably a war to get the light back. The Light that the ancestors greatly value and fought very hard for).
Absolutly wonderfly said🤩🤩🤩🤩
I have no hesitation in calling this canon fact👍
Thank you :)
Its preaty much the same thing I asumed about this realm☺️
Here’s a picture of the phenomenon in real life. This photo was taken by Heather Brinkmann in South Dakota, USA during a severe storm. It looks just like the Golden Wasteland!

Hehe cartoony smelly gas filter
in the season of remembrance, i noticed this theme of war and... imprisonment? with the tea maker for example, there were guards and such. i havent done all the quests (lazy, too many) but whats up with that?
The Remembrance spirits were refugees from the war in Wasteland, their memories show their experiences from that time
who was the war against? i always thought that they fought against the darkness and its monsters
#lore-discussion-spoilers message valley probably (unconfirmed but heavily implied)
YES but it's also a war between the ancestors. They spilt up to 2 sides, one that vision to live peacefully with nature and lights while the other follows the tech of dark stones
Am I the only one who can't check out this website? #lore-discussion-spoilers message
it does the same thing for me too
Must’ve been taken down/hidden. Sky doesn’t show up on the menu. Artbook prep prob
Sad 😢
Noooo… makes me glad I saved a bunch of the images
A lot of it can still be found on Pinterest, thankfully
Do you guys happen to have any idea how the crossover seasons happen? Like AURORA, Nine-Colored Deer, or The Little Prince? Is there a specific way they fit into the lore or is it just for funsies?
Though, I personally really like you can access them all through Vault of Knowledge. Makes it kinda seem more like a library of sorts, and we’re visiting them via text or smth
so we basically can see how eden constellation would look in vault cutscene?
Fun fact: that crown used to be in the old constellation and was called "The Light" where your first friends or favorite ones were put.
I really do think all of them were isekai’d into the Sky world per the Megabird’s whims.
She was bored, her Sky children were low on morale, why not bring “exotic” travelers to the world to give them some joy?
My guess is mostly funsies with media that fits in with the themes of Sky
Like with most things in Sky, it’s up to player interpretation, so here’s mine:
Little Prince - a story within the Sky world satirizing the different realms
AURORA - the figure we see during the concert is a physical manifestation of the Megabird
9 Colored Deer - an old fable being told in the form of a play
The areas we go to aren’t necessarily literal, real places
Not saying this is canon, it’s just how I think about it when I play the game
I speculated that the tea maker (along with other ancestors inside the vault) may have not been allowed to leave the Vault, and if caught outside may be punished (what this punishment could be is uncertain in the game).
I would imagine a punishment could be banishment (not allowed back in), captured (there is a jail cell where a child of light is kept), or worse.
They were in a war, and real life time periods during wars had seen terrible atrocities. Most of which I am certain would not be allowed on this server due to the family friendly rules. Therefore, I would suggest looking it up online and at your own discretion (meaning be careful what you may see or learn).
In another memory about a pleading child, you may see how the guards might treat spirits who they find are against the rules.
Again, it is not made certain what these punishments are, or why the guards enforce them. Although given the saddening theme of the season, I would imagine the child may sadly not be able to see their friend again.
Season of Remembrance was about loss. A season where we meet ancestors grieving over friends and family they miss dearly. And how us skykids help them find closure with the objects these ancestors remembered their loved ones by. Even though us skykids cannot find every ancestors that was lost in the war (seeing how we may likely never get to meet these unknown spirits in the spirit memories). The skykids try their best to help in any way they can.
The war was based in Wasteland, which is just outside of the Vault of Knowledge. Even though we may not know where the Remembrance season area is truly located within the Vault of Knowledge (let alone in the mountain the realm is based in). We can deduce that this area must have been either near the entrance between the Wasteland and Vault, or it had its own entrance, or it was a just near the wall keeping them inside while the guards watched over any breaches in the wall.
This is a relic from an old season quest that sadly no longer works since season of Rhythm (as far as I understood the research into this, please take with a grain of salt).
Season of Rhythm was the first season to introduce daily quests (the 4 tasks we are given to complete in a given realm each day).
The quest was presumably about following a spiritual fragment of a large bird around the Citadel.
Similar to the manta whisperer's quest where you chase down the memory fragments.
It is unkown why TGC removed this quest, or when they may restore it.
Personally, I would love it if TGC were to dedicate at least one daily quest to an old season quest prior to Season of Enchantment. Because that season was when season quests were first made relivable and their guide would remain.
This leaves the guides for seasons of Gratitude, Belonging, Lightseekers, and Rhythm.
Even it would mean TGC would need to create new quests for these spirits. I think it would be a wonderful surprise to see one of these quests would be changed out to a special one on occasion.
It may be best to leave your feedback/suggestions on this in the #live-feedback or #wishlist-and-ideas-archived channels.
The former seeing it is your opinion of the snow bird in citadel that you learned more info about. And the latter to give your ideas/suggestions for the game.
I had heard it was even farther than rhythm, and was like a beta thing and thats where you got the bird call from
I'm not really sure though myself either, someone posted images of the quest last time i saw a convo about it, somewhat recently
How I wish we still had active users here who were in the game way back when to help with this topic.
We need the fossils
the fossils! XD XD
you might need to dig those up first!
:0 that would mean a lot of dead whales

certainly no shortage of bones around, especially in places like wasteland
Lore chat I need advice
Im making sky tarot cards, and i want to include eden elder, but its difficult because he has so many titles / names?
Like he fits a couple cards so i want to split him into a couple versions but its tough to choose
As far as Im aware, he's been
The chosen one
The prince
Alef
Resh
The king
The eden elder
(The sky kid we hug at the end if that theory is correct)
And so on
So what could be reasonably combined / eliminated out of all his titles and names?
(For example could we combine the king and alef or the prince and the chosen one as versions of him that he's been over time if that makes sense)
Oh, that’s really awesome. I love that. I’m incorporating that into my headcanon for the game. Did you draw that?
Especially with how many skeletons and krill we see and how few whales we see.
Nope I found it on google
I want this to be true just because whales creep me out and I want justification for feeling like they can't be trusted
Hello I’m new to sky lore and was wondering how much sky lore there is
There really needs to be a pinned message on this channel linking to a Sky lore debrief or smth
But I suppose because this is an official server it would be seen as granting a fan compilation as official and that might be overstepping things
Reread "The Masque of the Red Death" and there are some interesting parallels to Sky
which is interesting since it's a Poe short story but anyways:
- There are 7 rooms.
- Each with a different color
- The different rooms have been interpreted as the stages of life
- The last room is black with red light and is basically the "death" room
- The black/red room has a scary clock that chimes and freaks everyone out when it does
- Everyone that goes into the black/red room at the end perishes
- This whole room thing is caused by a PRINCE
The story is purposefully vague, but there's a lot of interpretations/theories: https://sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:Amity206/Sky_Lore_Theories
I'd consider combining the chosen one and the prince together and the king and eden elder together, I wonder if the prince may have been considered the chosen one who journeys to eden to then become the king and elder and then big evil boom noises
Ok that makes alot of sense, thank you
I might be wrong.
Though I think its fanart.
#lore-discussion-spoilers message
From a search, it appears to be from a user called Peloponnese on bilibili
-AI brain explodes-
Further interpretation: the outside world (spirits) has died, and fallen to darkness
There is a connection in the visitor with the "mask" from the "dead" world to the "living" world, that one of the party.
Did Adam Willis delete his page where he posted the sky concept art he made?
We don’t know, it’s just gone apprently
Would the Wayback machine possibly saved some of it?
Ty^^
I looked yesterday, it's only saved the index page as far as I can see, but it could be related to the Artbook release
Just spotted some interesting detail of the oob model of the wasteland temple from shipwreck, looks like a purple light diamond on the top of the door, maybe relating it to the vault, and "god rays" either side of the door
I don't know if this thought belongs to this channel, but am i the only one kinda disappointed with how tgc handled crescent oasis? By that i don't mean the location itself, the area is very beautiful and unique imo, but i rather dont like where they put it. Sure, it's convenient to replace the route to starlight desert with some mysterious hall that leads to 3 random portals, one of them leading you to the Aurora location for some reason?? But i really wanna know where crescent oasis is located in the sky kingdom. Even though it's technically shown on the map if you look at the map shrine, it would be awesome if there was a route to go there physically instead of using a portal as if crescent oasis was just located in the middle of nowhere, just like the 8-player-puzzle in a way, and also how in the end of Vault you need to meditate in order to get to Eden which is a bit further away i would guess and ALSO if you look at the Vault entrance in Starlight Desert you cant see any type of tower which is supposed to be right in front of you?? Like, you get really high up in Vault but you cant see anything from the outside? It just doesn't any sense to me, but maybe I'm just not getting something
I’m disappointed in the Crescent Oasis too, but I’m hoping that the place will be updated as the season progresses. Though usually I reserve judging a season until it’s almost over, because then everything will have been released. That being said, the Crescent Oasis is pretty sad rn. IMO the OOB is more interesting than the in-bound area, lol. Maybe they’ll make it cooler, idk. I hope so. Too bad they nerfed the underwater candle. Now there’s really no reason to go there except for the quest cutscenes. Just empty.
I think the crescent oasis is a play and not a physical location but that’s just my fringe theory.
No, the quests are replayable
The other two collab season were mind-blowing. Little Prince is still my fav to this day
Thanks, I edited my original post to take that out.
And I’m not, like, harping on the game. I love this game. It’s my fav mobile game and one of my fav games period ever
Also, regarding the placement of Crescent Oasis in Sky itself, the game in general is just really ambiguous with how everything is laid out. A lot of the geographical placements relative to how you enter an area and how other areas are connected really... doesn't make sense at all. I've tried to wrap my head around how it all works and it just gives me a headache with how little sense it makes. So as far as that is concerned, I wouldn't worry about it. Having a way to physically enter the area other than through the collab room would be nice, but other than that I don't think it's that big of a deal (also, am I the only one who genuinely loves the area as it is, even if it's rather empty?)
Somehow the map made it Worse
maybe
We could probably take a krill 🤔
In my mind, the crescent oasis is a vault memory projection, and doesn't "exist" in Sky as part of the realms, the Starlit Desert is similar to that, but as its connected to the wind paths I guess some of that memory got leaked into a real place in Sky
Skykids in many emotes are like
Very physically strong
I personally headcanon they go out of their way to be gentle with people because no want hurt fren
So it's possible that crescent oasis was a desert behind the wasteland temple wall, in the grounds of the vault of knowledge, and the memories of the story and spirits were leaked into that area, making it into what we see.
Can? Yes
Will? Not unless it's premeditated or the person deserves it, no
Plus, they sound like they are made out of some kind of earthen material so whatever hard a human can hit, Skykids can and will hit harder with the same level of strength so yes, Skid no want hurt fren
That model has so many details.
It is a shame that it is so far out of bounds.
And note to the TGC spies.
PLEASE KEEP THIS IN THE GAME.
we love it ❤️
I think they’re made out of stone so yeah
I recall an older mention from devs during season of flight where they explained why cloud tunnels are like fast travel rabbit holes instead of them being more or less realistic (where you can see everything while flying towards your destination).
They figured it would take too long to travel that far.
In my opinion, it could be rheir way of saying how they have considered a more open world style of gameplay. But are limited to this sectioned imitation of open world Sky.
It is possible that crescent lake is in a separate area apart from the other realms. Perhaps even on a different side of the Eden Mountain.
As for the portal room. It holds the murals to each season TGC had a collaboration in.
Aurora is one of those seasons despite how accessible they are compared to the most season areas.
stopped lurking just to say, chihuahua behavior
idk if this is the right place to ask, but does anyone know if/when the other instruments against the back wall of harmony hall will become available? I’ve been eying that horn for so long now 😭
The horn is an ultimate gift (if you’re referring to the trumpet)
you are ok.
Lore wise, the shelves would have to be filled as new instruments are introduced in the game. There would be many more instruments the ancestors could have played.
Gameplay wise though, there is sadly no real way to tell without the devs saying anything about it.
Personally, I wished they stuck with the idea of skykids being able to play instruments they dont own themselves as a demo or just a way to enjoy instruments they might not be able to have for themselves for a while (or at all given some of them were limited editions).
There are sadly some instruments we are not allowed to play. Which I can only assume is because they were either an oversight by the devs (seeing the instruments were placed there, but did not have the interaction icon), or they were not meant to be played (in this demo fashion) without players paying for the items.
There are a few exceptions like the IAP hand pan that got replaced with a saxophone. Although this may have been their way of letting players try out an instrument before buying them. Eventhough this did not apply with other IAP instruments like the violins.
If I am not mistaken, players were able to 'demo' them still via spells which limited the time you can spend using them.
All in all, you are welcome to give TGC your thoughts on this as #live-feedback or give them a suggestion about it in #wishlist-and-ideas-archived .
The prophecy drum is also an ult, although that instrument is only at the performance stage, if I am not misremembering things.
The bowl also
yea I’ve been eying the trumpet since it’s been up on that wall lol— I thought it was their intention to release IAP versions of the musical ults for those who wanted access to those instruments but there hasn’t been anything after the handpan 💔 my only hope is that they’ll eventually release them over the years as the ult’s seasons get older… since sanctuary/handpan was first out of them… (which will be a ways away for that trumpet 💀)
when harmony hall was still in beta there were i think 2 or 3 other instruments that, like the handpan, were reskins of ults. one of them became the iap guitar and the others just got kinda shelved
Ways to play the ultimate instruments:
- prophecy drum is always available to play in the theater
- occasionally, an ult instrument is available to play when jamming with spirits in the hall (very rare)
- hope it’s available to wear during Days of Fashion (random and only one week a year)
Other than that, you’d have to use a IAP instrument inspired by an ult instrument (most of which cost 2x the season pack the original came from).
They WERE intending to release those items but veterans got mad
Has anyone else noticed that different types of love shown in the event created different types of light creatures except for today? Like here's the list:
Days 1-2: Belonging Grandma x Wise Grandparent - love of a (married?) couple - butterflies
Days 3-4: Rhythm Guide x Performance Guide - love of siblings - jellyfish
Days 5-6: Light Whisperer x Flock of birds - love of nature - birds
Days 7-8: Peeking Postman x Bearhug Hermit - friendly love (or a crush, idk) - manatees
Days 9-10: Confetti Cousin x Sparkling Parent - love of a parent and a child - mantas
Days 11-12 (today and tomorrow): Hairtousle Teen x Pleaful Parent - love of music (or love of art) - no creatures
Like I searched everywhere in the event area including underwater (in case it's fish or smth) and managed to play the song 100% correct just in case it changes smth but could not find anything
Strange.
Not all vets could have been that upset at the idea.
It is reminiscent to when travelling spirits were introduced and older players were upset that their once exclusive emotes became more accessible to newer players.
I remember a time (as far back as season of Sanctuary) where players used to enjoy having cosmetics and/or emotes that shows them being vets/older players.
Newer players used to be either impressed to see these emotes/cosmetics, confused or at times disappointed when they were unable to have these emotes/cosmetics at the time.
yes. 🙂
It is nice seeing the game celebrate more types of affection for another person.
Valentine's day (what the event is based on) does not have be just about couples or romantic love.
It is interesting to see how much the holiday evolved in real life history.
I don’t see the big issue with giving players a chance to earn them again. Now just handing them for free with like 0 effort is an issue
Agreed.
I know this is drifting away from lore, but I believe it is a important conversation.
Why would TGC have items stuck behind paywalls?
A likely answer is for them to generate an income from the game. Which is perfectly fair.
What is confusing though is the way they present exclusive items.
Limited editions that were only available for a set amount of time and would not be sold again.
Or an item that any player is able to purchase by technical standards. But only players who owns a certain console (like the Nintendo Switch, or a Sony Playstation) are able to access the items in the shop.
Coupled with the idea where friends can share these items or gift each other via purchases gives a warped impression of what friendship is.
There is a known moral debate to buying your friends. Or having friends because they enjoy the things you get them, not the company they share with you.
Worse yet, in the game, skykids cannot unfriend each other. And no, blocking shouldn't be the way to unfriend. It is a more drastic action one should use when they don't want to see someone ever again, not even in passing as strangers.
The game may have a ton of plotholes.
The one with skykids having only 3 options when meeting another skykid being two extremes and a neutral is worryingly inaccurate.
Especially when younger players may assume this is how they should treat people in real life.
Either spend money with your friends to earn more interactions with them (that is what candles mean after all. They are a currency. You literally have to pay with a candle to become friends. And even with invites bypassing that step, you still need to spend candles on your friends).
Back to lore (or more like hypotheticals with skykids)
What should be a better way for skykids to treat other skykids?
- I don't agree with the greyed out stranger mechanic in the game. It either makes players ignore strangers, or makes them want to light everyone up constantly in order to see what they look like.
- Therefore, I believe all skykids deserve to be able to see each other by default. It may also lessen the 'main character' syndrome having your own skykids, as well as friends, stand out as unique characters amidst a group of blank strangers. (Seriously, we only get to see up to 8 players anyways. And let's suppose you are able to see everyone or they are all friends, how would that cause issues on the server?)
I sorta disagree with this, yes the mechanic is odd but there is a social purpose to this mechanic. It’s an active choice you have to make to have others see you. Now, I do wish there was a spell or something that if others also had the spell enabled, would auto light each other.
Fair, it is a matter of personal preference.
A compromise for players being able to see the details of stranger could help.
The stranger skykids would still remain obscured. But it their shape of their outline made with their cosmetics would makes them more interesting. Almost like "who's this pokemon?" trope.
We already have this with the capes of strangers in the shapes of their cosmetics, why not their hair or outfits then?
I can deduce the reason why the capes are different is to help players tell the strangers apart.
When a player notices someone and wants to see what they look like. So the game have their capes have shape to help you keep track of them.
So something similar to the burned out glitched state?
they got rid of the ability to see strangers' capes though
because some people were ignoring OR favouring players based on the shape of the cosmetic
yes. Exactly that.
Instead of having 7 strangers with bald heads, basic outfits, but their capes resemble that of there true looks.
You get a range of silhouettes that makes them mysterious, but still unique for the skykids to have their own style.
Wait, they did?
Aw man.
I agree the change sucks, and I'd love to see them implement sihlouettes like that, but there might be technical limitations and/or other reasons that prevent them from doing that
yep
if you can still see the shape of an unlit player's cape, it will be because either you've blocked them or theyve blocked you
which is a bit of a silly choice since now people will know you blocked them-
Favoring players because they own a cosmetic the game presented to be exclusive is not only a problem players would have to address among themselves (with some guidance from the devs), but also is the double edge sword issue exclusive items cause in the first place.
A player has an interesting item would naturally draw attention to them.
Having certain cosmetics shows how far a player has progressed, roughly hints at how long ago they joined the game, or they were able to afford an item (or were gifted the item).
i feel like a lot of people prefer the option to be more anonymous anyway
plus, showing the shape of cosmetics sort of takes away the point in lighting people a little bit
especially in that in sky, lighting people with your candle is very personal and like showing your 'heart' or soul to them, so it's an important mechanic because of that
i mean you'd still need to light them to chat, but lighting is like showing yourself or introducing yourself, and if people already know what items youre wearing before then it feels like it takes away the impact
im not sure if im phrasing what i mean very well, sorry
When a player has blocked you, there is a descent chance you may not know that sadly.
Had a player blocked you while you were in the same instance, the game wont let you interact with them, and then give you the notice you were blocked.
The game saldly does not tell you this when you are not with the player though.
When trying to warp to them. The game just tells you cannot because the "friend" is "not in a place you can join right now".
You can still access them via constellation and attempt to send them hearts even. Which would take your candles and the other player will never recieve this heart, thus wasting your candles without warning or notice.
This is what I understood from personal experience.
I saw someone point out, too, that strangers being unlit and "plain" looking could be like a crowd of people you don't know - you won't remember what someone looks like unless you directly interact with them. In the case of Sky, lighting someone means you're interacting with them, thus you actually see what someone looks like due to interacting with them. And then being friends with someone, you'll of course always remember what they look like. If you're just strangers to each other, what they look like will eventually fade from your memory, hence lit strangers become unlit again if you or they leave the area and come back
oh, what i meant is that i noticed recently that if you have a player blocked, and accidentally come across them, you'll be able to see the shape of their cape even though they're unlit, which has happened to me before. i also saw someone in screenshots and videos who had blocked a player, and that player was taking screenshots of them because they could see the cape of the person who blocked them. im not sure why this would be a thing, maybe it was a bug, but that's what i was referring to. i do know how blocking works :)
Seeing player capes as silhouettes did this very effectively and it made seeing strangers such a varied experience, but like Deerlin said they removed cape silhouettes due to bad experiences people were having from being recognisable with popular capes or ignored if they were wearing items others didn't deem good enough.
I really miss the feature personally.
you are fine.
I meant with having a silouhetter of stranger skykids is they are still greyed out/darkened. Although you can see the shape of thier cape, the hair style, the shape of their outfit. But no colour or lighting.
The strangers still needed to be lit up so you can see what they truly look like.
The lore still applies where you share your light with others and you get to see them in full in return.
But as a mechanic, you see fewer bald headed skykids running around that you have to not only light them up each time you head to the next area.
Frankly on that point, either skykids supposedly have short term memories, or the devs should consider letting skykids you lit up stay visible when you go to another area with them and not be prompted to light them up constantly. Especially when a server merge takes place and you lose sight of them.
I think this might be a bug, I had it happen one time and it was a little uncomfortable and a shock, but it doesn't feel like the intended feature since strangers appear as regular cape silhouette kids, it wouldn't make sense for blocked players to show their cosmetics even if they're greyed out
I mean, skykids do got hollow heads if you've ever witnessed chibi hair bugs before there's nothing inside
but I don't think that's a lore specific thing of sky kids just not having memories to remember other kids they've lit before and more just technical constraints - it would probably be more demanding on servers if the game had to remember every player we've ever lit but not friended. At least it does remember in specific sessions though like when you're mid candle run and y'all light each other and then go to the next area and they're still lit up
i think i see what you mean, that seems cool
the only concern would be it having the same issue of players avoiding you if your silhouette isnt 'cool' but i guess there isnt really a way to stop that behaviour
@real mortar that would make more sense to be a bug, maybe it's related to the bug that made me server merge in eden multiple times with someone i blocked-
At one point they were playing around with how players who have blocked us appear in constellation, so I think it's a leftover issue from that
ohh i see :0
kinda random
Do you think all spirits had white hair when they were alive? I just had a random thought if that's how they appear in spirit form or if all of them had naturally white (and only white) hair.
well is hair considered to be made of light since when we become extinguished we lose all cosmetics including our hair
cause if so then maybe if the spirits are indeed beings of light then they'd have had white light hair too, but if they were regular humans then maybe they had different hair colours before death
I think it is more of a technical oversight.
I have rarely seen the game successfully keep acquaintances lit for me in runs.
Although, I have not been paying much attention to that in recent weeks.
Oh that's strange, I've always seen players stay lit during transitions in candle runs unless they get thanos snapped into a new server
does that mean being unlit/grey is actually skykids' nautral state? since without light they return to that
maybe they have like a symbiotic relationship with the Light
That is a good question.
As far as stylistic choices go for the game. The devs seemingly considered coloured hair at some point in development.
As well as possibly other hair colours (or no hair and rather use coverings for ancestors).
Either way, the hair and skin are a particular shade to imply them being humanoid, but not enough to imply being a certain human race.
In a way I would use the Navi from Avatar for comparison. For they are like human, but taller, blue skinned, prodominanly dark haired, have prehensile tails and moveable ears. These differences sets them apart from the human race on earth. But they still carry a human like impression for their own planet.
Well I wonder because don't we start out being capeless but still lit, so is that our natural state and extinguished is essentially our dormant state?
We do have to take into account this is from the perspective of Skykids.
How skykid see each other may differ from how say the ancestor spirits, Aurora, The Little Prince or even the Elder see skykids.
To use, a stranger is a blank slate. Wherein which a curious skykid would be conditioned to approach and use their light to see the truth.
Now that I think of it. The light of a skykid may also have the ability to reveal the truth, namely help reveal the true identity of other skykids.
But also cleanse the darkness that obscures and hides the truth. Like with the Eden Shards are trapped in a shroud of darkness that the light of skykids (the holy flame as older concept art called it) helps uncover the truth, or the memory fragments at least.
that makes sense
Do you think skykids get sick, like covid or diabetes
Not sure to be honest.
as a fan theory, perhaps??
Though in canon, we know skykids can get tires, can sleep, can get cold and can get hurt.
Therefore, skykids are partially mortal. Just like they are partially immortal.
Because they can die, but also come back upon being reborn.
I like avatar
You seem to have a habit of bringing non-lore relevant discussions and critique about how TGC handles the game into the lore channel. You're even aware of that.
I understand that the lore channel might be more suitable for thought-out conversations, but this is still not the place for this
Imagine skykids getting covid
I'd rather not
Skykids are not quite organic creatures like humans. We can see an Ancestor in one of the Remembrance stories getting old and (presumably) sick, and the Sneezing Geographer also exists - through they might have been sneezing from dust. But that shows that at least the Ancestors seem to have the ability to get sick.
That said, it's unsure whether virus-based or bacteria-pased pathogens have a place in the Sky kingdom. Skykids might suffer from different types of afflictions. One might say that darkness (as seen when we get our light knocked out) is a type of affliction/illness Skykids suffer from.
You're free to have your own headcanons, but please remember to be mindful and respectful of real people that might be dealing with such issues, and might even be present and reading in this channel.
Yes, I am aware.
I am also aware this channel is a public one. Anyone can talk here.
Talking about the lore is the main topic, of course.
But not a hard and fast rule.
As Rooty said, please be respectful as people might be reading this and might take this to heart
But this channel is explicitly for lore and theory discussion
Yeah, this is past treading the line and not cool. Please don't fat-shame
I personally don't think it's that big of a deal to go off-topic for a minute as long as it gets back to the topic of lore. They have interesting thoughts that are lore-related, and I agree some that aren't may not be fit for this chat. But as long as it gets back to lore I'd say let's not worry about it too much
k sorry
I mean I don't mind if a lore discussion veers off into adjacent non-lore things. That's a natural development of conversations. But it does bug me if the discussion starts there. I'm not here to hear about complaints of TGC's bug priorities or monetization.
That's fair. I don't mind it myself, but I understand where you're coming from
I think atleast the couple times ive seen their comments theyve been almost like half joking ways to put lore to game bugs or other things.
Like saying darkstone tech is unreliable due to how it interacts with server merges
Let's suppose that there are many areas in Sky we have not seen, and some of which have ancestor settlements, or even kingdoms.
Would it be fair to say either these unknonw regions are not part of the 6/7 Sky Kingdoms, or that an Elder also rules over these regions even if they are far from the temple(s)
There's probably both, many areas within the kingdom that we haven't uncovered yet (to be part of future seasons)
and settlements that may lie beyond the shores of the kingdom we see
Well in two embers trailers atleast, you can see people seem to be what to me looks like migrating to the sky kingdoms, arriving at isle of dawn, from somewhere else.
Though i think the child character we see there seems younger than most sky kids, so i might think its sorta tied to the symbolism of sky with each realm being like another time of day, or stage of life
We also see people seemingly arriving at and traveling through the Isle of Dawn in the Runaway memory and concert song
Of course we don't know if whatever isles lie beyond the ocean that may have been inhabited by ancestors are still considered part of the kingdom or not.
I feel like the animation might give us an explanation for those things and I'm really excited for it to drop, I hope it comes soon!
My theory is that itll be next season tie in but thats not really founded on anything but the general timing lol
Yes, you can see living ancestors in the Sky: Two Embers trailer with white hair

Hello lore chat, I am just really curious about all of your guys theories about the Eden Elder, can you please share them to me?
They’re super dead
they were a skykid and also not that old when they died also
There are some theories about Eden.
Though keep in mind the lroe is open to interpretation.
Meanjng folks may have theirbown opinions on the lore. Some of which may be plausible to bekng canon. But by the same token, we may not know what is truly canon lore aside from what TGC says.
Would you want a run down of some of the theories?
yes please!
Alright.
From concept art, we have seen the elders character designs evolve with time. Whete the wefe once statue creatures (think shadow of colossus) to animalistic creatures to anxestor like figures with bandages or bands (also missing some limbs), where even the valley elder became twins and so on.
There were 2 who were supposedly the elder(s) for Eden (which was called Storm in the past).
One was the Prince (I call them the Prince kf Sky, or Sky Prince as to not confuse them for the Little Prince), and the other was called The King.
A lumbering figure that towered the other elders.
You may have heard alternate names for the elders. These are non-canon names fans use beause these were placeholders for the elders.
The Sky prince was Alef, and the King was Resh.
The names were based on hebrew characters. Aleph is the first letter of the greek alphabet (which is not allowed to be used in this chat because the bot would snipe it) and this symbolizes the first born or the "chosen one".
Resh represents a resentful, malevalent character. A leader, which is like a King.
These meaning may not fit their relevant elder exactly. Lathough it does give some hint to their characger or role.
Now here is what we know (that I recall was discussed in the lorechat):
- Eden in te game has not elder (that we recognise at least)
- The elders have fallen (died), as tutorial in Dawn mentioned this. This may explain why we dont see them in the realms, but only in the visions with their temple's shrines or in Orbit.
- There are little to no evidence of the King themselves in the game today, and even less so for the Sky prince.

- we do know the King at least had once existed based on murals of them (in the water mural in Vault, Vault's elder cut scenes, as well as in a mural on the way to Eden), not to mention statues hinting at the King in Wasteland.
- There is a shard emekry of the elders, where there is a debate King symbol present above the Eden Crystal shattering.
- The is theoretically responsible for the downfall of Eden and the Sky Kingdoms.
I'll give the theories in a bit. (am on mobile. Please bare with me)
The King is gone(?)
We never get to see the King in their full glory or true form in the game.
Even though they are/were supposedly the largest humanoid character. The Elder of the Elders.
During Light Awaits (the beta for the game before it was fully released), the lore of Sky changed, and wuth that parts of the realms. Eden and Dawn were ones who changed the most to follow the new plot.
Why and what changed is up to theorists to find out (I have my own research on this).
A notable change is how we dont get to meet the King in Eden, which breaks the pattern the previous realms established when we reach the end and meet the elders in their temples.
The Chosen one
Season of Prophecy is known as a lore focused season. Because it was one of the few places where you learn more about the elders.
I was not the one to call this the chosen one theory, that credit goes to Alasdair (unless I misremember something).
The theory goes on about a skykid who completed the trials back when the ancestors used to be alive and not spirits/ghosts we see today. And this skykid supposedly became the chosen one to become the King (and/or the Prince)
The King and Sky Prince are the same person.
This is an older theory that explored a what if scenario where the Sky Prince grew up and became the King. Or the King is nothing but a giant "mech-suit" of some sorts. Powered by darkstone and piloted by the Sky Prince.
There is very little evidece for this, but is fun, lol
The King is fsther Time/Grim Reaper/The judge over those who can ascend/Elder of death.
Every elder and their respective realm represents a time of day, day of the week, and/or stage of life (Time).
Eden is the 7 realm, the end of a day, week, death.
Being the elder of death, the counterbalance for them would be a being of Life. Therefore rebirth and thus Megabird.
This is another obscure character/diety in the Sky lore you may want to look at if you have not done so.
There may be others.
Though some may be old/outdated given the realm has not seen many notable updates with its lore.
TGC has been careful not to give away the full story.
I would say one old theory ablut the elders ( namely the King) being the villians may be overdue for review.
The game seems to make an argument to not have truly evil characters (antagonists).
Much like the writing style from Miyazaki's films (Studio Ghibli), there are traditional protagonist versus antogists roles. Simply characters who go kn an adventure as they journey in mythical land of ancient magic.
Where evil characters are redeemable and have morals.
When applied to Sky (because I believe it is a likely inspiration TGC may be using), the ancestors may have fought, killed and made terribke decisions. But had their reasons and redeemable.
And the Elders may have been responsible for Darkness spreading corruption and their kingdoms falling into ruin. However are not the villians.
Neither are our skykids the Heros or Protaganists. We may be a force of good. But are likely not the answer/solution the problem in Sky, sadly.
i was dreaming of this!

Totally unrelated, but do you guys think that there will come a time where there be absolutely nothing left to speculate or discuss here?
hello does anyone know about "the elder of the forest's" love life? she is so beautiful she must have one! no reason for asking just curious 😁
Have some random not really theories of mine! These have no solid basis in confirmed lore I just think they make sense so don’t take these as confirmed or true!! I just think theyre neat
- grey, monotones, black, and very dark blue are the colors of mourning
- the ancestors often lived in the mountains to be closer to their goddess, megabird (and also had main cities there for safety)
- very strict dietary rules on what you can and can’t eat (mantas, for example, are forbidden)
- they use a lunar calendar and did a lot of astronomy. Important events were probably planned around comets, eclipses, etc (think how passage quest 2 was during the eclipse)
Please megabird no I heard about you on tumblr-
(/not hostile just moderately horrified)
oh ha ha you must have seen my tumblr! well hello!
ohhh i love these! a buddy of mine had a similar theory about the ancestors wanting to be close to the stars i think its sweet-
hey wait a second
then what did they eat? kreb?
welcome!
I'm not sure if we see any other animals besides butterflies, birds, mantas, and whales, and crab that are potentially edible
Unless we count Oreo which, well
no/
There could’ve been more animals in the past
there are many masks that suggest that many more animals existed in the past
i love these headcanons so much, especially the first, because most of the spirits we see are those colors.. it really makes you think about the implications
true, so why don't we see them in memories? 🤔
Can we only see ancestors in memories? (but we see mantas in Aurora quest)
also did the ancestors have mouths ?
it depends maybe memories only display things in a certain radius
also the no mouths in game is most likely just a stylistic choice
for ancestors, im not sure about skykids
if ancestors had them why would skykids not have them
i am team mouths personally but its ✨up to interpretation✨
dont the statues of the two valley elders above the flying race entrance have mouths
i remember they have very detailed faces
maybe skykids dont have them while ancestors did because skykids are like
from a different origin than ancestors
like they are the Light taking on humanoid forms to help heal Sky and maybe the Light didnt think it needed a mouth
What's the story of eden?
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Well there is a presumably ancestor built crab stew pot…
Pretty diamond on a mountain then big kerplunkle explosion happened (idk anything about making lore theories, I just listen to everyone else's)
yeah that's pmuch it
Returning Spirits Visit will be coming
do spirits come riding on Megabird? or Rhythm bird?
can sky constellations go in retrograde?
Inconceivable!
I hear you but..do you think it's true?!
...You good, Skybot?
new lore drop?
Aren't Megabird and Rhythm bird the same bird?
Also on the discussion of mouths above, I'm pretty sure logically we'd need mouths to whistle
unless whistling is just a new part of our calls that we've somehow imitated from the memory of the villager this season
They are different creatures.
The Rhythm bird is an elder bird. They sre on a similar tier to the elder manta.
Megabird is much bigger (in theory) and is the culmination of the Light in Sky.
You see an impression of them in Orbit when you look up at the stars.
Sadly, the elder bird has not been seen ever since season of Rhythm ended.
That is an excellent point.
Skykids are capable of mimicry with calls.
And they make several spunds in the game (from a humming snore while asleep, to expressivesound effects).
They are like Geral McBoing Boing (an old cartoon about a boy who doesn't really talk but makes many sounds).
The game's style is simplistic though and TGC is know to show characters without mouths.
This is implied they dont intend for their characters to have dialogue while telling a story. Thus making the story more open ended for the viewer.
Ohh that's good to know, now that I think about it I've seen old theories of Megabird being the phoenix symbol at the end of the game and the reason for all light and rebirth, but I just assumed that rhythm bird was that same bird somehow. I wish Rhythm bird would return and we could learn more about their existence and maybe even see if there are any connections between them and Megabird, maybe as like descendants or something. Although if Megabird is the representation of all light and rebirth then elder bird would indeed be a form of descendant, just like we and everything else light related in game is.
So potentially a mix of stylistic choice as well as lore related reasons for lack of mouths but the ability to still create sounds that we'd associate with our human way of vocalising?
Now that you mentioned the snoring noises, those are obviously formed from breathing whilst asleep, which makes me wonder about sky kids needing to breathe. Again I'd wonder what that implies about sky kid anatomy, given that we don't have obvious noses either.
Now I'm thinking, breathing might not necessarily be related to our human reasons for breathing, but could in fact be related to fire needing oxygen to burn, and if we're made of light (we pull our candles from our chests so I'd guess there's some fire inside us somehow) we'd need to potentially circulate oxygen just like humans do somehow......
Or is this a big overthinking of tgc just creating humanoid creatures and giving them human-related mannerisms for us to connect to them better.
To be fair, I don’t think any thing in sky needs to eat. I think eating is a choice the elders/spirits make simply because they can and not because they need to. Like with the crab stew pot. All energy in the game comes from light and fire. I always assumed that we the sky kids were the same species as the elders and spirits, just a different form.
I am not entirely sure why skykids themselves may breathe.
But the flame they carry certainly does.
Oh that makes me sad if they're stewing crabs just for the sake of ooh this seems like a fun thing to do, as opposed to needing to eat
We also run out of oxygen when we go underwater
Yeah. We know the elders became corrupt after the prince discovered dark crystals. That’s why we see the mantas being caged. they are being killed for their light energy. What the elders did is very sad and it is what brought the end of the second age
I thought the manta were being captured to use their light for powering our ancestor's technologies rather than consuming the light themselves as a source of sustenance/energy?
Yes that is correct. I was just making the point that the ancestors were corrupted and the fact they killed the mantas to power technology is a sign of that corruption. I think eating the crabs was just another corrupt thing they did.
Ohhh I see what you mean!
That’s why the only interaction we have with the campfire and the crab stew is to release the crabs.
I'm gonna go make some notes on stuff I've come across here so far, thanks for the chats you guys!
Mind you, the crab pot in the wasteland is not actually crabs being eaten. In fact, that design has been edited from a pole to a bowl to explicitly make it not look like the crabs are being roasted.
If you see the Pleasing Parent's memory, you can see them running after a crab - so not a skilled hunter trapping them - and making the pleading motion at the crab running away.
And the crab inside the pot are not encrusted with darkness and are peaceful.
The crabs are being purified by the fire, likely on purpose. In this case, it's more like a someone trying to save animals from an oil spill.
The old campfire layout though…
Were they food at some point?
That sounds like a nice theory actually!
Is it ever explained what the garbage water actually is? I’ve heard oil and waste water thrown around, but do we have any sort of exact answer?
The game calls it Dark water.
This was from Season of the Little Prince where the slouching soldier reportedly was drinking it.
Being a collab season, the spirit drinking dark water may be an analog for the alcholic character from the Little Prince book.
Dark water is corrupted and drains like from creatures.
Skykids slowly lose light when they are in it, while dark creatures are seemingly unaffected based on how crabs and Dark Dragons are seen in contact with it.
Dark dragons can lurk in large bodies of dark water and emerge from then when they begin patrolling.
There were older theories where users described the water having a sheen like that in oil. The oil theory is debateable based on the dark water not being flammable. It is not entirely debunked though, as one may argue the simply does not allow skykids to set fire to the dark water. I would imagine the wasteland engulfed in flames would probably break the game, lol.
Seeing there are no feasible means to test this, one may not be able to prove of disprove this theory (as far as I know).
The idea that dark water is polluted water is an established theory though.
There are pipes with gunk oozing out from then, which may explain the state of the brackish water.
It is likely that the ancestors may have constructed these pipes to get rid of waste. What this waste truly is, is up for debate.
Some say it could be the remains of light creatures used to generate power from machines (this is based on old concept art and questions to why mantas were kept in cages near the machinery). Other believe it could be general sewage.
It could also be tar or some other substance that was either discarded or possibly transported to another place where it could be further processed.
An interesting note though, the pipes we see coming from the Wasteland temple. Some of these pipes end up at the coast of Shipwreck (officially called Crabfield) as well as the Graveyard.
It is possible these pipes could be everywhere in this region, some of which are transporting waste, others seemingly large enough to transport creatures (which could also have been what happened after these pipes were abandoned. Possibly for smaller creatures to safely travel through these realms to Eden).
The two embers stuff showed a wasteland without… well waste
Also at a different time of day with less clouds in the sky.
Dumb theory, were the clouds put there for a defensive reason…
There's lots of wind walls around clouds and you can also recharge so it can possibly be yes
You are ok
Wasteland is right at the foot of the mountain. And there is a superstorm at its Peak in Eden.
Wasteland is trapped under a massive storm of Darkness.
OH
Wind Walls may be more of a gameplay element than a lore one.
These are barriers used to guide players along the path the devs intend for them to take.
I'm here to declare that spirits are actually darkness plants
Have a good day
They got darkness inside them.
Unless you want to go with, you are what you eat.
Being with ancestors eating dark crabs and getting food poisoning
(this is a joke for the last part. The first sentence is true. There is a ball of darkness for every spirit you encounter)
Do you think sky has a language
Spirits do talk to the little prince, though I guess how canon that is is debatable
You do speak directly to spirits during one of the performance quests though so
Oh of course ancestors have mouths otherwise things like eating mushroom soup would not be possible
rotca...
Hi sad news.
Please be careful when people message you in dms. even if its from someone you know, make sure it is in fact them.
the account, Viksa2130 has sadly been compromised. Please take care.
oh dear
i keep my dms closed for the most part but oof. lotta scams around in big servers. hopefully they get control of their account back
Same. 😦
Or when this one is shut down, they could make a new one.
Two Factor Authentication has been a major help for me, snd would recommend folks consider using it as well.
Rather be safe than sorry.
U forgot to mention how wasteland are at sea level, and presumably suffer the corruption of eden the most
Fair.
I did say it's under Eden.
But forgot to mention it is at sea level.
Im just wondering what if Auroras orchestra at isle, Orbit and credit scene that almost sounds like gibberish are what the Sky language sounds?
it very well could be. Aurora also has her own "language of pure emotion" that she uses in some of her songs, so it could also be that
😔

I hope viska can get back someday
I got the scam message from them too, if they message you and are like "i accidentally reported your account, add this guy to fix it", do not do it
any big theories from the last couple months?
Hey, sorry to bother you guys, but how can you close DMs? I'm fairly new to Discord so I'm not sure. If I'm bothering y'all, Sorry about that
By the way, I have a question but I don't know if the answer has been discussed, When Skykids run out of flaps, do they feel 'tired' or do they just feel like 'welp, can't fly anymore, lets walk'? I have a headcanon that if a Skykid has no flaps, they feel physically tired, as our capes are made of light and no flaps in it would kinda drag the Skykid around (kinda like how when we wade through the dark water in Wasteland, out cape kinda droops) even if the cape is made of light, light can be overruled in this universe. I'm not a scientist or a Sky veteran of theories so I'm not sure..
settings -> privacy and safety -> turn off 'allow direct messages from server members' and scroll down to see if there's any more you'd like to turn off
i think that's all, it's all i could find at least
thank you!
i think that would make sense :0 especially since flaps are sort of like sky's version of stamina
i think of light as sky kids' version of food; when theyve used up all their energy from light they collected they cant keep going and get tired, just like we get tired when we use up the energy from food we ate, and they need to recharge to continue, like having a snack :D
Sometimes, i think wax can be food? In grandma's, we burn the food, the wax literally flies to us (vaccum sky kid?) and it seems to go to our mouth. So it's practically a snack, and our light recharges too
what do yall think the reason the game got dimmer and less colorful recently, solar eclipse?
our sky kids obtained eye damage from the blinding white snow and now everything is a bit dimmer /not serious
delicious yummy wax
Agree report them. Ans sadly block the compromised account.
if anyone happens to have contacg with them with a different account (be it Sky or otherwise) please do reach to them.
the wastelandification of sky has begun 😔 /j
I'm shifting into maximum overdrive!
I think the cape is a different item entirely from the rest of the skid, I think the skids are almost like "golems" made of dark stone, which would explain the skids naturally being black and having light absorbant properties, the light absorbed goes into the cape which then acts as wings and protection. So I dont think the sky kids would feel "tired" persay, but the cape is like a battery
so its like how if you are using a jetpack, running out of fuel doesnt make you tired
is it okay if i use some of yalls theories in a fic im writing
I mean we are still capable of feats of incredible agility even without the capes
I have a very extensive and relatively complete theory if you want it, but it is rather dark
every Skykid is capable of parkour
maybe the cape is like a somewhat sentient organism that is attached to us?
I mean the sassy pose makes the cape sassy as well
the sassy man apocalypse has reached sky 😔
I also think that the cape powers our cosmetics
lucky find in a book grab box nearby
I cant believe they made a book based on the Sky season
Wait till you find out they made a full animation inspired by the current season
I can’t believe they made Aurora a real person
honestly, the pr budget of this game is wild
Aurora existed before the season.....
Golden Wasteland became less foggy, the fog may have travelled throughout the realms, most noticeably in Daylight Prairie
no actually they made her up for sky #themoreyouknow /j
I thought she was a singer they did a collaboration with?
yes they invented her and set up her entire music career beginning in 2012 as a prequel to the season of aurora in the mobile game sky:children of the light
it was all part of the plan….
Wow that's crazy I didn't know that (sorry if this sounds sarcastic its not supposed to be 😢)
this is a great example of why tone tags exist
||i was being sarcastic the whole time||
i hate how this connects perfectly w how sky started development in 2012 iirc and how auroras debut was in 2012
she fell from sky with grace
thats an aurora lyric reference for anyone who doesn't get it
omg….the plot thicken…..
I'm so confused did sky create her fame/career or not 😭
I’m sorry about not using tone tags either, I was just continuing the bit from earlier
i guess you could say
i went too far
I joined this discord about an hour ago so I'm still trying to find my way around 😭
im sorry
i was just playing
I’ve actually been a fan of hers for a long time, but instead of just saying that I decided to continue the joke
it's an ongoing popular joke to say that 'i cant believe sky made aurora real', the joke being that she was real before sky
im not good at understanding jokes so i dont actually know why it's funny but thats what it means
another example of a similar joke is when two popular youtubers do a collaboration and someone comments 'wow this guy is great he should make a youtube channel' the joke being that he already has a very popular one
That's so confusing lol
im sorry i was just continuing the joke these guys were making
i dont get it either tbh but i think its funny because its ironic?
no hard feelings to anyone of course :D there was no harm done just some confusion and it happens :)
the joke is pretending to be so naive, you think that the media you most recently watched/played is the original one, instead of the base material
another variant of this would be... "I can't believe they wrote a whole series of books about the Lord of the Rings movies"
the humor in this joke is that this statement is (or should be) obviously false
ohh :o that makes more sense
For example, there are people who think Stronger Than You is an Undertale fan song rather than an original composition from Steven Universe
did you guys know they made admiring actor real recently
so cool of sky to inspire cave paintings
REAL
guys they made charms based off of a sky season
wait so the ancestors can honk???
(Original video here: https://www.reddit.com/r/SkyChildrenOfLight/comments/1az9crm/honk_off/)
belonging guide regularly imitates the honks of the skykids at their table
Bug/update thing, hoping it goes back to normal soon 🙏🏻
:0 no way
Hello, good evening everyone. Who is alef? Is that the first sky kid?
Alef is “the Prince” he probably is the first skykid. I’ve got some stuff on him here, apologies in advance as I’m currently updating this in preparation for Two Embers
https://sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:Amity206/Sky_Lore_Theories
And good morning to you as well!
Holy moly, so krill was made from manta?! TT
King Resh is second sky kid? Or he is a spirit?
-
probably, evidence seems to suggest that krills did use to be elder mantas
-
I think King Resh is the corrupted form of Prince Alef. I sort of see them as the same person, but one is tainted by darkness and corrupt and the other is more of a skykid-type being. I could be wrong, Two Embers will probably confirm or deny this
I’m confused, prince Alef? King Resh? Who are these people I’ve missed out on a lot
I think those are old names found in earlier concept art for sky, someone might have a few of the images saved heh
something i had not considered trying to do til today was clip the camera inside the diamond the forest elder holds, once its complete. ( since its floating around in orbit when you summon them, you can do this very easily )
Turns out theres a smaller diamond in the middle of the model! I'm quite sure its a mini eden now, heh.
I wonder if the forest elder we see/interact with is sitting there, post shattering, trying to figure out how to piece it all back together.
heres another view of the interior, you can see some diamond shapes in the corners a little better, heh.
I wonder if the shattering happened between valley and wasteland timeline wise, and the elders we see are sortof present day spirits of them, the forest elder just sitting this whole time trying to figure out what they could possibly do to fix the shattered eden crystal.
then they see our light and maybe have some hope...
Does anyone have link to the documentary of sky being explained ?
Can I get the link too please
Yeaaa please 🙏🏾 it’s the seminar I think it’s an hour long
If anyone has this, please ping me and link the source. Thank you!
Hi! Sorry for ping. I don't know the source/link for the documentary you're talking about (I'm also curious about it)

Why is it called Nine Colored Deer when it only has 5 colors?
I ate the other 4 my bad /j
(@pastel brook is evil and shot down my reply)
(because of that, I refuse to retype the entire explanation and will rather give a short and simple answer)
The legend is ancient, from Buddist Jakata tales.
The deer was described to have 9 colours.
I dont know the Shanghai fine art studio simplified the colours to just 5 on both sides.
My best guess is to make animating the character easier as they had to draw each frame and the style had to be consistent.
The Sky version of the same deer is based on the one in the animated short film, not the polki dotted version seen in the ancient murals in real life.
(PSA to everyone here, COPY your messages to save yourself the frustration from retyping your lovingly crafted theories, explanations, etc. I have been here for 3 years and still find this feature of the bot deleting posts without warning or reason very annoying)
(The entire message was wiped out all becuase it had a link to a tumblr post. Why? The heck would I know seeing the bot clearly does not care. It wont give a warning, nor be bothered to give a reason to deleting an entire message over a simple link or word it has an issue with)
(And yet, the server has a setting where it blocks the message instead of outright deleting it, which at least makes fixing the post a lot easier.)
Literally, that is what it has an issue with??
Sorry for the rant. It is honestly ridiculous.
- Did I bring it up with mods? - Yes, and this has been going on for years.
- Why complain about it? - Because it is annoying and discourages folks from writing their theories.
- Are there other people how had similar problems? - Yes. And they also find it discouraging to write their theories, discuss theories or share their thoughts.
- Why not write shorter messages? Some things cannot be summarised to a few words. And breaking it all up into small chunks is doable, but tedious with the slowmode and is messy when the channel is active.
- Then why does it bother you? - Because I love the lore, love reading what others have learned about the game and think the skybot needs a rework or a solution from mods/tgc staff.
I can imagine other places like reddit, or tumblr would be better. Though figured this place has its charm seeing it an official forum where you can (or used to) talk about lore and the devs can occasionally chime in with their tidbits about the game.
i think the rest of the colors are on the other side
I feel so sad doing the latest nine colored deer quest 😢🥹
both sides are the same, I am afraid.
They have the same pattern and colours in both the animation and sky season.
Tbf though, if we wanna get technical, the deer actually has 8 colors on it: its fur color, the 5 crescent colors on its side, the inside of its ears, and the yellow markings around its eyes and on its forehead
Wait wait wait
The deer has stars on its body
The deer is a spirit
what's going on?
? Have you not been there before or are ya tryin to ask whats up with aviary
Guys I have some questions for the nine colored deer season
im here for the 1st time
Well id say to try out the quests, heh
all of them? and every time after eden?
Im not sure what youre askin really
Aviary is a new home space that last season was based in, heh
Please guys I really want to ask for something for the nine colored deer lore
I dont see the question?
You can ask away.
So if the Nine colored deer left the kingdom in the last quest season, does that mean that the kingdom just immediately fall into darkness and everyone there died?
I have not done the latest quest myself, sadly.
I imagine the kingdom may be left unprotected from krill attacks the deer was seen guarding against in a previous quest.
It is unclear how, when and where every ancestor spirit has died.
Despite the locations where their memories are found in. It is possible the ancestors have passed away somewhere else and their spirits may have moved to a place where they held onto a memory. At least that is just my theory.
The reason why I believe so is how not all memories are about death, let alone seem to be their last moments.
A few spirits like the fainting soldier may be a likely candidate of an ancestor spirit with a tragic memory of their final moments.
However, most spirits have been seen in memories and subsequent quests that imply they have done other things before their passing. All while they assumingly recreate these moments as spirits for skykids (or even just for themselves).
huh, i did the most recent quest today but it ended with the deer ||being captured|| - not what you mention there, is that what happens in the final quest? i didnt know that was available
Are they any news about what the next season is going to be? If I’m not supposed to talk about season spoilers in this channel, then pls lmk😭
all we got is the symbol teaser in news <#news message>
no more and no less
afaik there are no more information from beta either, but keep in mind that beta content is not supposed to be talked about outside of the beta channels regardless
so we won't be able to tell you more until TGC decides to share more info in a news post
Ah ok, Ty!
Why do we even exist? To save the kingdom from eye of eden? Save trapped spirits?
What are we gonna do to Eye of eden? Throw candles?
We're not here to do anything to the Eye of Eden. We're here to heal the land - burn darkness, free spirits, save skykids trapped in the Eye of Eden
So the land is just Doomed By eye of eden with no way to save it
No, I don’t think doomed is the right word. We bring our light to the world slowly, but we can’t solve everything all at once. It’s a post-apocalyptic world, and it will never be the same as it was before, but from the ruins we can build communities and make something new. The message of the game is that one person can’t save the world, but we can all do our part to make the world a better place, little by little
It has already been doomed long before our time. That's a quite pessimistic view anyway. We don't need to solve the world's most atrocious problems to make a change for the better.
And yeah, Sky's gameplay loop doesn't allow for fully cleansing Eye of Eden one day. It's supposed to be there as a permanent challenge.
that too, it’d be pretty boring if everything just got fixed forever
i wonder if, when Sky eventually ends, we’ll have that kind of more final ending tho
whenever the final season is, sometime in the future, it’s gonna be a tearjerker for sure
my current theory about the key is that the spot in Aviary where the Revival items were is gonna be like our sky kid's "house" that we can decorate like we can with shared spaces (top of the key looks like a house). And then the empty shop that's under construction is probably gonna be a prop shop, since that's the only missing category from the other shops in Aviary. And it makes sense that they held off on adding a prop shop since they might add new types of furniture in there for us to put in our "houses."
Then we've got that little coffee bar/cafe looking thing right now in the tunnel that's also under construction, so I think that might be like a little place where you can "eat/drink" and chat with other players?? cuz IIRC the bonfires are the only place in Aviary where you can chat with people, so it'd be nice to have something closer to the realm doors. but yeah I think the season of keys or whatever it ends up being called is gonna be adding a lot of social/personal stuff and I'm here for it
something like the bonfire/table areas in the concert but permanent
that would be so cool
Since we just descended out of somewhere with "Save us save our land" texts I thought we was supposed to put an end to eye of eden since as far as I know its slowly eating away the land little by little so I thought there was still time to save
Thats what I was thinking about the lore
yeah, exactly! like a little bar top or maybe even some tables with candles or something. there's those additional doors that are blocked off too, so maybe it'll be like a whole little cafe 🤩 how cute would that be??
I mean, sort of? But the Eden explosion already ended the world, it’s not eating away at it any more than it already has. Our mission is to restore things and help spirits, including the ones trapped in Eden, not to put an end to it
maybe we'll get like a little al fresco dining are out on the lawn outside of where the mural is? that'd be fun for summer time 😎 we could sit out in the sun with our little sunglasses and lawn chairs
And we do exactly that by freeing the spirits and burning away the darkness where we can.
yes! something like the treehouse, a cozy social area where you don’t need to pay candles to chat
I think player housing is much requested and has been hinted at in a past news article about the aviary, so that's frankly very likely.
i can’t wait to use my prop collection personally
remembrance prepared me for this
yeah the game is definitely a parable for life, especially with all the realms being themed for stages of life. so by that logic, Eden is end of life/death. and like, we can't destroy death. and we can't save everyone from eventual decay/ageing/nonexistence. but we can prolong life as much as we can and make sure that life is fun along the way ☺️
I have so few props, but if this happens I'll finally have a reason to get more 🥰
You can still buy the props from the Remembrance and Assembly guides at any time, as long as you’ve done the quests
yeah I'm done with those quests, but I haven't bought many of the props yet bc I've been saving up for TSs 😅
the constant struggle
especially with the group coming 🫠 I'm making sure I get 20-21 candles/day
but back to the question from earlier - it’s implied that a part of the kingdom’s downfall had to do with the ancestors choosing one kid (aka the king/prince/chosen one) as their one and only savior. that kid was probably just a skykid and couldn’t do it alone, but with a community, maybe they could have
I did splurge and get myself the manta plushie though bc I'm a plushie fiend ☺️
that makes sense with the theme of the game. we're stronger together and life/the game are better when we help each other, etc
yeah!! i also get that vibe from the two embers stuff
two embers? 👀 (I am but a smol moth)
The animated series that’s supposedly coming out soon

this is the first I'm hearing of this but that's exciting! I'm a big TV show binger
Oh I noticed you’re a Revival moth, you might recognize someone in the teaser trailer then 👀
oh! is that our steward?
but also omggg that view of the crab fields is WILD. took me a sec to recognise it with all that light and colour
most likely! though i guess we’ll see
And yeah, I’m excited to see pre-Wasteland, or at least somewhat less messed up Wasteland
yeah! it looks so cool. thanks for letting me know about it ^_^
what's the lore of season of revival?
I have a question about the lore- So what is the difference between the spirits and Sky kids?
This is only from my personal understanding and collection of other theories I've read and agreed on. But basically the first Sky people/Ancestor spirits were the residents of the Kingdom of Sky before it fell. Assuming this was during the King's Era (Darkstone Era) and even way before that (Fire Era). After the explosion of the Eye of Eden and corruption, the ancestors eventually all died out and... became spirits. The Sky Children are kinda the next gen after the Sky people, and they now reside in the Post-apocalyptic state of the Kingdom.
From what I get, the sky children are kinda a mix of light creature and sky people. It's unknown whether the sky people had the power of flight or can emit their own fire/light like the sky kids with their red candles, the caped spirits may have been able to, but perhaps not all. Since we can see the ancestors required boats and light creatures to get around.
Ahh makes sense, but I’ve always wondered what the krills/dark dragons really are. Are they just a type of corrupted light creature?
Yeah the common theory was that they're corrupted light creatures. I'm not sure if you had Season of Sanctuary completed, but there's a whale-like creature there that's smaller than the very huge whale light creature we see in certain realms.
I assume that was one of the surviving creatures, those were the krills before they became corrupted.
If you keep swimming down you can still see it
Post quests it chills here
Oh no that's the King Krill from Abyss. I was referring to the smaller white whale creature we see when we complete the Season of Sanctuary. We can see it jump the waters periodically. I meant to say that it's what I assumed the krills looked like before corruption.
Here's a photo comparison
The whale creature seems to be as large as a krill, and it roams the waters/can fly like most light creatures (i recall it flying during the last Sanctuary cutscene). Since Wasteland is surrounded by a vast body of water/seas and the waters got corrupted over time, we can assume that these poor whales got corrupted bc of the polluted waters hence why Wasteland is filled with Krills.
So the blue light can undo the polluted water right?
For now, it doesn't seem that there's a confirmed way to purify the waters yet. The waters in Treasure Reef appear to be out of the corrupted zone. Not sure abt the blue light you're referring to, if that's the one we see underwater, that's just a light/oxygen charge.
I think they’re referring to the blue light from Enchantmnt
Ahhh I see. Yeah, I think it can purify corrupted water! But it would require a lot more blue light to be able to uncorrupt the entirety of Wasteland because only a small zone of water was fixed in the Ark.
Honestly, I feel like this is a great example, but it has some holes: for example, that giant sanctuary whale is tens of times larger, only looking similar through perspective. There’s probably a better example in the trailer:
Oh yeah that's the best example! I wanted to use that as a ref instead but I just had a photo in my gallery that I just wanted to compare to in-game krills bc that creature was the closest comparison in-game. To be fair there's a lot of perspective issues with in-game models, like the shattering memory krill models appear a lot larger (for me, personally).
The shattering krills are probably meant to be that big, to create a sense of scale, much like how the elders are also blown up way larger than their true size. There’s a large chance that their size is inherently warped in the realm of a shattering memory.
If I was approaching this from a game-design/atmosphere perspective, I’d say that the objects in the shattering memory are larger simply to create an atmosphere of dreariness or bleakness.
Also, true size of the sanctuary whanta if you’re curious:
Even up close I can still see it. For me, it's just because the whale's head and form appears fuller because it's in its regular form? The whale in sanctuary might also be bigger due to older age, etc. If it is one of the remaining survivors. The krill size to me doesn't feel far off and feels like a much more shrunken version due to corruption. This is just my two cents! But thank you regardless for your insight.
This is great! However, I might have an idea that is just as plausible:
According to Salem’s Mural Masterlist, there is a peculiar mural in the Treasure reef:
As you can see, this depiction seems to bear uncanny resemblance to the whanta featured in your pictures: fins running down the length of the body, etc. It doesn’t require too far of a logical jump to connect the dots and see that this is the whale from sanctuary, probably another of its kind.
Only possible difference I can find is in its tail design: this mantamalgamate doesn’t have a spade-shaped tail.
This could, however, be simply written off as a discrepancy in the artists translation: its spiraling design could represent the sheer magnitude of the subject.
In this very chamber, however, there isn’t a light whale— instead, it is the king krill. So it’s very possible that the mantamalgamate transformed into the leviathan krill by unknown means. However, by transitivity, it means that the whanta in sanctuary should closely resemble the uncorrupted form of the leviathan krill.
Ohhh that's an interesting theory!! At this point we're still not entirely sure how severe corruption is to alter the light creature from its original form 🤔
I do agree with the artist's translation bit, the mural seems more like a personalized depiction of the creature's appearance, like in cave art. Could be the artist's own depiction of a manta whale/whale manta/mixed.
But you actually have a point there, Initially I thought that the leviathan's light creature equivalent are the whales, the big ones we see in the flight to orbit/forest caves. Again most of the time I get confused over the size perspectives. In the oob (?) The leviathan's head size appears similar to the sanctury whanta but reviewing the abyss cutscenes again, its mouth unhinges enough to easily engulf two people and several light creatures (?) So it left me confused with the size if it's more akin to the sanct mantawhale or the bigger whales. But looking at more model/oob pictures, I noticed the leviathan krill's model has a spade-like tail similarly to Sanct's whanta. So you're definitely onto something.
This convo literally had me re-reviewing Abyss cutscenes again omg 😂😂
Forgot to include additional info that might add to this theory: there are two large protrusions exiting the front of the leviathan that are positioned in the same exact location as the front fins of the whanta.
Well, this is all the information I have for now, but I think the case is closed.
Yeah, I've noticed too. I suppose that the trailer whale creatures with light radars (possible krill equivalent) might be relatives to the sanct whantas. The sanct creature might be an elder for all we know, since light creatures appear to have elder versions, which are stronger, larger versions like the mantas in Flight.
Thanks for this btw! Helped a lot.
Hey @crimson orchid, it looks like you shared an invite link in a public channel. Sky invites are single use and it's best to share them through DMs
Thank you for info!
Hi
Cool thing I noticed today uhh
You can actually see some ruins on the eye of Eden mountain by using a camera
Is this where the corrupted diamond is placed?
Idk if that’s where the Eye is, but that’s wicked! Thank you so much for sharing this!
Yw
yo so. are the spirits and elders a different species than sky kids...? if not, why are we so tiny? there are kid spirits but even the smallest spirits are probably taller than a max height skid
also, the locations of the spirits,,,, can i assume that where we find them is the place where they died or
4th task completion check it out on YouTube
Yes I believe you’re right
4th season quest lore notes:
- the “poison” seems to be concentrated darkness or something like that
- we’ve confirmed that darkness can make people very, very sick as well as pollute water (last one was pretty much confirmed already)
- dark water causes dark plants to grow. It’s possible these are the corrupted light mushroom things underwater?
- a LP spirit (unrelated to this quest) drinks dark water “to forget” so how poisonous it is is iffy, maybe some form of memory loss is a symptom of poisoning
Is sky a repeated self purgatory?
This is such an interesting concept to think about. What if Sky is purgatory?
I think that concept is like a "everything is fine, but when you look deep into it, it doesn't look fine." It would make sense how one would see it as purgatory because there are spirits that are still in the world that face extinction because of darkness and don't ascend. But at the end of the last season quest, you see spirits (except for the season guide) fly up. So, perhaps spirits can still go to Orbit and face ascension. Perhaps Season Guides stay for a reason. Did they stay because they had to teach newly arrived skykids about what the world was like? Or something like that. This is a lore-wise standpoint from me. If we're talking about gameplay mechanics, spirits still stay there so that players can get the expressions from the spirit.
BUT is it purgatory for skykids? Skykids reborn every single time after an Eden run. They face death constantly and get reborn again. It does look tiring and it would bring a skykid to an existential crisis because they're brought to the world so they could help the civilization return to what it was before. It can be seen as a purgatory for skykids, but purgatory is a place where people atone for their sins before they go to heaven. Are skykids bearing the sins that brought the world to the ruins and the Megabird is being spiteful towards the people who have brought the civilization to extinction?
For me, Sky isn't purgatory but more of an extinct world and the Megabird brought an entity of light that could help the people of said world bring back what it was like before. I think the pity room (where we meet the child who is sitting down on the ground before we can ascend to Orbit) is purgatory because it's so dark and silent and a place where one can reflect. I THINK that could be Alef/Resh when he was a child who felt very guilty of what he has done to the world and with that, he believes he shouldn't ascend.
I think ascending to Orbit means a whole lot of important things. I think when you ascend to Orbit is after admitting and atoning for your sins. Purgatory is like that:
- (in Roman Catholic doctrine) a place or state of suffering inhabited by the souls of sinners who are expiating their sins before going to heaven. (Oxford Languages)
- a place or state of punishment wherein according to Roman Catholic doctrine the souls of those who die in God's grace may make satisfaction for past sins and so become fit for heaven. (Merriam Webster)
- a passing intermediate state after physical death for purifying or purging a soul (Wikipedia)
- the condition, process, or place of purification or temporary punishment in which, according to medieval Christian and Roman Catholic belief, the souls of those who die in a state of grace are made ready for heaven. (Britannica)
where did the huge whale from wasteland come from? and why is it only in there and that small area in hidden forest (forgot what its called)
you can see it in sanctuary isle, and on the way up while you're ascending to orbit past the mountain, too!
I'm not sure if you see it any other places, but i think people have theorized it follows your journey through the realms, heh
( assuming its even the same one )
The huge whale can be seen also in the entrance to the forest caves. Also, the sanctuary isle probably contains what is most accurately described as a highly evolved manta, not a whale
I didn't know we ever saw what the drinking spirit actually drank
I think it would be awesome if sky really does that, a sweet and bright game but has the most darkest lore or story behind. But I doubt it
Anyway I'm megalophobia and some of parts in sky really terrifying whether it's good or bad creatures
I think it's the best game to conquer my fear
I don’t even have thalassaphobia but some parts of the treasure reef can sure make me empathize with people who do
Sky can be scary sometimes
Sky lore does get pretty serious if you dig deeper into the lore. Golden Wasteland is the first realm to ever explicitly show that Sky does have serious and dark lore
Environmental destruction, societal collapse, war, military occupation, poverty, death, displacement, etc. basically the whole apocalypse happened and then everyone died. Quite dark. But Sky is a cautionary tale, and one that’s hopeful that we can heal.
I'm not sure if the deer season and its story is canonical or not, but I think that it's interesting that the crab in the story is non-hostile when every other crab is.
Not all crabs are. The crabs cleansed above the fire in the Wasteland bonfire are friendly too, and so are the crabs out on the islands in Sanctuary. It's the darkness the others are infected with that makes them hostile.
somethin i learned about even the dark crabs recently is that they'll go and unflip eachother, heh. never saw that before
Yes it’s a neat behavior
It’s why I relocate flipped ones to roofs. Try to flip them now
anyone has any head-cannons about this place?
or is it just accepted as a non-cannon easter egg?
Eirrher the darkness is getting stronger (which is bad), or that poison was so potent, it would may as well be over kill with skykids not strong enough to burn the bigger dark plants.
Goodness Gracious Me.
🤔
The only thing is that we can't tell the difference
there is a difference! the polluted ones have dark spots all over
you can, if you look closely (and the game isn't glitching out)
the corrupted crabs have darkness warts
the peaceful ones don't
We also got one brand new crab fren from the deer season
Speaking of which, the deer game 5 lights and the last of their energy to the ancestor that betrayed them.
To keep count of the lights.
red - skykid(s)
yellow - manta
orange - Jellyfish
purple - crab
And I presume just the last piece of their own light - ancestor Whistling Herbalist.
I wonder if the light on the deer's forehead may be the light they gave.
Or just the last of their light in general, or even their own life energy for that matter.
Little Prince asks “why do you drink the dark water?”
Ohhh i didn't know that
In french he just asked "why do you drink"
Good to know
i heard that in the little prince story that parts about alcohol and sky cant put that in their game
Yeah it makes sense they switched it, the original character was called the Drunkard I think
Does anyone have a higher quality version of the poster in the tgc office that (i think) equates the realms of sky to stages of life?
Vix where is it? I've been there once, and wanted to show it to my kid, by I forgot where it was 😅
I’d love to hear some theories about this, since I was little confused why there were two. Tried to fly out there but it was a wallpaper sadly but still caught my interest 👀
That's a bug, plain and simple
Yes.
Back when the season first ran, it did not take long for folks to put 2 and 2 together about the alcholic from the book with the Sky analog being an ancestor drinking dark water "to forget".
For the sake of the keeping the game family friendly, it was a slippery slope both TGC and folks on this server to not delve too much on that detail.
Also, has anyone noticed the tiny chinese looking character hidden on a phone left in the Sky office?
im surprised they've never fixed it, it's been there for well over a year now
Agreed.
They could hypothetically say the bug is not harmful to the game (as in causes crashes or corrupts anything), or that it does not have a high priority while they work on other bugs or on new content, or simply not opt to respond nor fix it until the day comes when they felt like it.
Somr bugs may be tricky to solve, while others may seemingky be as simple as a few lines of code that happen to show off two edens in the background.
My guess is the hermit peaks has an eden in its background, and when the update came that added eden for every area that did not have kne before (around season of shattering to give a rough estimate of how long this has been in the game for), this area was mistakenly put on the list (or the older version was not removed and rhe new one was added anyways so that the shard event can work).
Either way. Yes.
It is certainly odd to see an old bug like this be kicking around in a game that gets frequent updates.
Yeah, I assume considering it's a purely cosmetic bug in a not very highly frequented area, this is very low on their priorities
Oh, it's above Wind Paths!
I’m assuming the taller one is one that explodes when the shard event starts
Thank you Vix! I keep forgetting where things are 😅
I may be wrong. may need to screenshot the event to be sure.
It is the smaller on to the right that does shard events.
The reason why I think so is because whrn a shard event takes place there (as in the shard does not have to land thefe, just Eden doing its thing), I recall seeing the explosion taking place in front of the bigger eden in the background.
ahh shattering was my first time playing so it's been there for me this whole time :0 i think it's kinda cool though
Could the Krill ever be ridden and could you feed the krill?
There are rideable ones in the Halloween area
I think it's more like the eden in hermit valley is the png one, while the more detailed eden that are already around some realms are where the shard animation starts, so they basically added 2 ver of eden in the map since shards will fall at hermit valley
Tbh it kinda ruins the sunset place
The two Eden mountains:
There's an imposter among us
hi lore chat so im looking through adam willis's website via some older links and they take you do a different page
and a lot of the sky concepts just arent there anymore, i might be using the website the wrong way though idk 😭
Yeah the sky art is gone…
my beloved season of shattering guide concepts
luckily for me though i saved a few RAAAAHHH🗣️🗣️💯💯
Oh my God the first three ones that show mantas show so much lore oh my God
I wish that Shattering showed the much darker parts of Sky lore while also keeping things mild for the audience
can anyone oversimplified the sky lore please
♦️♦️♦️♦️
i don't think the eden crystal needs to be a brand new material
eden eruptions eject both red and black shards
so despite different colors, i think it makes more sense if it's darkstone too
I always thought of it as corrupted dark stone
yeah same
regular dark stone takes in power actively when given sources of light to feed off of
corrupted dark stone actively drains all nearby sources of light
Just my theory 🤣 I think it's new type because of normal dark stone is working like a battery, it's could out of energy and need to fill energy again. But Red dark stone, It's never out of energy. it's still spinning for produce energy until now.
following theory of corrupted dark stone, I wonder what is causing corrupted of dark stone and why there's only one corrupted dark stone in sky? what sky king did to it?
I do not think Eden’s natural color was originally red. I think it could be a byproduct of its destabilization but I think it was meant to be the bright yellow white you see when you burn your WLs and your camera pans to see it.
I'm not sure for first era. But in the dark age, color of Eden is blue plus gold. Because of it's the place that elite living.
What is the Eden power diamond made of? Is it the light creature+dark crystals? Why is it dangerous when the other power diamonds are ok
sky people always build their home by using cyan or blue stone. Gold material is for decorating middle and higher class's house.
We need to wait for other details from dev. we can't summarize anything.
I do wonder why there is almost no mention of the king anywhere in Sky. Some relics that are believed to be associated with him are still around.
Ask dev, They try hard to hide king's details 😩 if king has debuted , end of sky story🙄
I love to research about sky culture, But no one interesting on them like me😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Actually, dev has released a scene of Eden. And I know because of architecture pattern of sky. try check out clue from dev🤛🤛🤛🤛🤛
Like before the destabilization?
I wonder how much lorechat would appreciate me being here- cause I babble on and on about my sky oc lore, but its also my interpretation of the sky story, written through the mind and words of my skysona, Serena Woodsworth, who's a famous author. Her stories are my interpretation of the sky universe, just with the introduction of characters...
If you've been in cozy, you might know about my extremely funny reputation of the most absurdly long oc rants lol
Also there's a really weird plot hole of the megabird being both an actual diety and a fictional character, and there's interdimensional portals that different universe creators can use to go into other universes, Woodsworth is an actual author in my non-fandom oc universe, she sends her books there with the help of the Megabird
...I think I'd like it here but I don't know if I can ramble about my sky ocs-
This game has lore?
plenty of it, yes
most of it told indirectly, as the game has very little on-screen text
the lore is read from spirit memories, from the environments we travel through, from ingame murals and from out-of-game concept art
Speaking about the environments, I was curious about what the crystals in Prairie Peaks could be made of. So the unique feature of Prairie Peaks is stone pillars and I started out with searching about their formation. I found that they are called hoodoos and are formed by erosion in the areas where a layer of soft rock is covered by a layer of hard rock such as limestone. Its polymorph calcite crystals can grow there too. Calcite can be in different colours including blue but what is really interesting about calcite is that it is thermoluminescent, it glows for some time after being exposed to uv-light or temperature. Almost like darkstone glows when skykids light it with a candle.
Calcite also may occasionally show phosphorescence and fluorescence like darkstone crystals in Prairie Peaks shine when the skykid is near them
It's darkstone in its natural form! It still absorbs light in the same way, but it isn't refined or used to power anything
is there lore behind the saplings?
Lore time!
HECK YEAAA its lore time bois
Please tell me more about the Eden Ancestor lore
well uhh, we actually dont know much about the eden ancestor if anything at all considering we get most of our lore via murals and concept art, well, i do. Personally i think that a short summary of what happened was
be born > get taken in by civilization > grow up and overcome trials and become ruler > give elders special status in civilization > find darkstone reserves > become corrupted overtime > do evil stuff with darkstone > destroy eden > die
this is obviously very watered down and everyone has their own interpretation of what happened in what order but thats just all the simple stuff
theres also the war, the lighthouse experiments, etc
Such a sad story. I wish the King didn't get corrupted. It would've been very cool to see him in Eden doing whatever he does in Eden. However, now that I think about it. Eden probably was beautiful before the corruption. All those spirits probably lived happy lives and loved it there.
Also, question, if the Megabird is technically AURORA, does that make AURORA god?

well, yes. obviously aurora being megabird isnt confirmed but its sure a theory i believe in and fight for
also, well, the ancestors as far as i can tell didnt go much to eden because eden used to be an ascension place for light creatures. thats also why its kinda our job to go there and why its the only place we can rebirth the giant beam of light once used to be an opening to rebirth until like, idk, the GIANT EDEN DIAMOND
Not official lore yet but the Sapling quests started during 2022 (?) Days of Bloom, its tied to the Bloom Guide and the Lightseekers.
As we know regarding the Lightseekers is that they're tasked into collecting the light scattered around the kingdom from time to time. It's safe to assume that the Megabird is most likely responsible for these lights.
As we notice during the sapling quests the light seekers are there keeping watch, after the 1 minute mark is done, they receive light from the saplings. The saplings most likely have some light energy but we don't know if Bloom Guide planted them, but we can assume it's their doing bc it first appeared during their event.
We don't know a lot about Bloom besides their connection to the lightseekers, and bc of the Rhythm mask they wear, they might be a member of the Rhythm family as well. But what is peculiar since the 2023 Days of Bloom, their events have some sort of projection akin to the Aurora concert where skykids transform into light creatures for a brief period of time.
And if you've been in the Aurora venue, you can see a Bloom area and a sapling too.
It's possible the reason why these saplings emit light is because perhaps The Bloom Guide may be a priestess or an envoy of Megabird.
Ohh. So that glowy thing shooting sparks is the Eden Diamond? I thought it was a gate
about the lights source, im pretty sure its kinda confirmed that all light creatures leave a sort of light residue behind while flying which is also the particles we see under the skids feet. But AURORA is also responsible for those lights when an actual aurora borealis appears, as seen on the forgotten ark murals
elaborate please?
i dont think i fully understand. The eden diamond is the giant red diamond in PNR thats placed on top (in?) of the light beam
I mean its kinda a common theory that Aurora is possibly the Megabird in disguise so my point still stands with source. 😂
When the last tree in Hidden Forest has fallen and the rivers in Golden Wasteland are poisoned, you cannot eat darkstone oh no
yea but thats not really what i meant. i was talking about the fact that while aurora definetly plays part in leaving the light residue, its also kinda confirmed that most light orbs come as residue from light creatures in general ^^
the fact that this is lore accurate
/hj
The giant diamond shaped thing near the last section of PNR looks a bit like agate to me. Light is surrounding it and it is bright and red
in one of the eden murals at the beginning of the second section it shows the giant thing at the top of eden is a darkstone diamond. ,,its actually shown in multiple murals but i can kinda see the resemblance?
Ohh. So the giant red light being beamed down isn't a gate
well, you could say its a gate to heaven
but in the literal sense, i dont think so
Aw. I wanted to see what would happen if you got close to it. However, I kept getting hit by too many rocks to get close.
So thanks, King
/nsrs
Ohhh ok I get it now, yeah. But I still like to consider that the saplings might have some sort of divine link considering they bloom randomly and the lightseekers collect light from it. There's just way too many mysteries abt Bloom Guide and how their event functions similarly to the Concert.
During times they're not in bloom I fail to notice that there's some light creatures hanging about the trees in general. So while it's a common fact that light creatures leave light residue, the light from the saplings might still be from a different source. Also noticing the lightseekers kinda treat is as sentient by giving it a hug before collecting the light.
i dont think anything happens if you touch the eden diamond? you just die after a while from the rocks. im not even sure if it has collision
hm, i mean it would make sense that the saplings are connected to the light in one way or another. Aside from all of the things you listed, their general function (the fact they bloom around skids) and also their appearance being a spirit bluish
So it's just standing there, periodically shooting shards to random locations?
Well, at least it gives us Wax.
Mysterious Tree Gods
i mean, the eden diamond did serve a different purpose before THE shattering. In my own theory, it was created to trap light creatures who tried to ascend after the barriers in wasteland didnt work. But of course, considering how many light creatures ascend, it got overloaded and caused the shattering. I personally think that considering what TGC has to say about the shattering memries, they are indeed just moments trapped in time but i also feel that most of them are the actual creatures that got trapped. THE shattering shows up as a shattering memory so thats obviously one of those 'moments trapped in time', but the amount of memories with light creatures is a bit unnerving, also coinsidering how,,, casually theyre walking. It also explains why THE shattering happened but i also just said that so
Oh dear! That sounds scary
haha yea. the king sure stopped liking light creatures after he became corrupted
I feel like trapping the light creatures there was deliberate since the diamond being a giant darkstone, it would need a huge abundance of light. One theory I follow upon is that besides the eye being the possible main source of power for the Kingdom, I felt as though in a greedier/more corrupt sense. Resh thought that he could create an artificial Orbit, perhaps out of refusal for spirits and light creatures to ascend.
I felt like he was afraid to die and pass on as well, or at least refused the notion. And what's the best way to beat that than to try and become God.
well, the eye couldve been used as a main source of power inbetween the creation of it and THE shattering but i do feel it played more of a role than just that. As i said, it couldve been used to stop anyone and anything from ascending, especially light creatures so they got trapped. But about the artificial orbit.. i doubt that was resh' motivation. Him trying to destroy AURORA and becoming the new god is definetly a part of it, though. I feel he didnt care much for the ancestors, and he was the only one who wanted to live on and rule the kingdom forever without a care for the damage he caused in the war, etc.
AURORA best god
Vote AURORA to make Sky happy again/j
speaking of AURORA.. i feel like musicians in sky are priests in some way, no? AURORAs power is obviously based in music outside of light. I feel for that reason, that the king wouldve hated music. Plus, in harmony hall there is a mural with people praying to AURORA, and the spirits do invite you to play a sheet from season of AURORA.
So the Guitar Spirit who's my favorite spirit is a priest?
Oh no.
💧
why is that a bad thing?
Because that means he knows my tiny moff sins. Like accidentally leaving a few Moths in Wasteland or leaving a crab on the fire
I think that he has worse things to worry about. Like being one of the hardest spirits, or, being dead
How is he the hardest spirit?
Yep
Pretty much the notion of priests and supporters of aurora/megabird invites the notion of rebel factions considering a lot of platforms were designed to probably keep away from the king and his army.
he's notorious for being one of the most annoying spirits to do. We are talking about pleaful parent right now, right?
Oh yeah. I'm not attempting Pleaful Parent. The Krill lights scare me
Ohh! This is interesting! However, I'm wondering if there's other Sky gods. I saw one theory video about Little Prince being a god
I'm not sure, maybe it's happened. because tone color of Eden before explosion is dark blue.
I did
