the golden wasteland/valley would probably have more seafood, just like the isle, thanks to their proximity to the sea
pairie and golden valley might also have done extensive farming with all the lush land they have (had)
the valley of triumph would probably import most goods, but might have the most 'luxurious' and creative dishes (cooking contests maybe???), while areas like pairie and isle have dishes that are more rooted in their traditions
the vault I imagine would have simple meals of ingedients that are easy to store over longer time

isle: less money-based, more bartering (i'll trade you this thing i can make that you need for this thing you can make that i need)
prairie: prefer to make things themselves rather than buying them, but prices are according to quality for goods from artisans
forest: have easier access to currency but earn it through physically demanding and often dangerous work so make their money go as far as it can
valley: most frivolous spenders, happy to pay high prices for high quality, excellent salespeople
wasteland: communal culture around necessities, especially food; otherwise cautious spenders and stubborn hagglers. feel the need to have something set aside for "just in case"

As far as I can see it we have:

The time when the elders lived - who were they? Why were they singled out? Were they normal people who made important developments in their ancient society? Or were they guardians of a higher power? (Eg maybe Aurora?)
There’s talk about the other elder of Eden, the ‘Prince’ who became corrupt along with the eye of Eden - it was his job to keep the balance of light and darkness and he failed along with the other residents of the ancient capital/Eden
^during the time of the elders is when they learnt how to harness the power of light and thus light creatures
These methods collapsed later but not everyone died
There was a war, but when? Before the explosion of the eye of Eden?
Against who? Who was was fighting against who? Or what?
From soAurora we can see that the mantas were fighting the ancestors
But was this the only war? Was is before or after the explosion?
When did the elders die/ascend?
For many years later, when their buildings were partially in ruins, there was still our ancestors
They have memories in and amongst the ruins (like the scavengers in abyss for example)
And so they died/ascended at some point

When did the first skykid come about?
For there were certainly Sky children before then
Are we the same? Or different?
We are constantly being reborn
When did that start?
Why did that start?

I will not be satisfied until I know.

you're right, human psychology does make people feel argumentative when backed into a corner. it also leads people to lash out or make frustrated statements when they've been fighting to explain how they've been wronged to people who, for whatever reason, aren't getting the message. everyone could have been softer in their approaches, yes. but if we're going to validate the doubling-down on hurtful statements, it seems reasonable to acknowledge where the other side of the conversation was coming from

this is one of the most common points of friction, and I wish I could make it easier. I don't think they intended a real-world parallel, so I think labeling it that way reduces the conflict a bit too much. I think they didn't do a great job of taking criticism.

I think everyone should take a break from this conversation, especially if it's causing stress. It's a sensitive topic, which is why the mod team would rather take it slowly and have productive conversations with people involved. we will always do our best to block intentionally harmful speech here, but we also need to be fair in evaluating whether some comments were intended to harm, or were misinterpreted. there will be times when arguments arise like this because the fallout from a misunderstanding can sometimes be more important than the misunderstanding itself

mostly the latter. actions taken privately are done so for a reason: so individuals involved aren't unfairly labeled or called out. and so the channel can cool down and return to topic eventually

I think it's become a pretty big problem here that, because much of the lore is open to interpretation, much of our interpretation becomes influenced by our implicit biases. We've had cases here before where someone will put out a theory with a less than covert bias, not naming any names, and participating in this channel has honestly become tiresome in that aspect. You're right that the fallout is important though, I think the conversation that was had was very insightful, and Alasdair and Vela made many key points that I think resonated with a lot of us, even if we weren't vocal enough to be muted.

I have been doing what I can of Aurora's Season till Remembrance, since I started During the Last 2 Weeks of her Season. I feel like maybe She was less of a literal Giant Deity of light, mostly cause of my discomfort of seeing real people as gods in games, and more of an Elder or Important Position.
Either one we are a super super super old reincarnation of ourselves Knew Aurora and respected her message of Love and acceptance of everyone that it left a mark on the most deepest part of them. That she and her message is being seen by everyone who she impacted and she reminds us of the light we once so highly adored.
Or We came from Aurora, with her Pure message of Acceptance, Love and Respect that was so wholeheartedly believed we are either a Reincarnation of her Message imbodied and the message of whose she impacted, since there are the Murals of people seemingly praying to a single person.
So we are a being who is powered by such pure and honest emotions we were given life, being reborn due to the fact that those emotions still exist and thrive, even when fighting the purest of darkness we can still see that light. So it's why we seemingly hug ourselves in the end. Accepting that pure emotion. What if during the making of Eden, something went wrong? i mean, the word Eden itself is meant tk be good. and when it took a wrong turn, an eruption happened, causing dark plant and darkness to spread in the realms

Noticed how Isle of Dawn doesn't have any dark plants? Daylight Prarie has dark plants but creatures of light? things start to go pretty downhill from Forest. Forest has no sunlight except for in Grandma's Diner area. it is fillef with dark plants and very few creatures of light. Valley of Triumph was probably really protected so nothing happened to it. Golden Wasteland seems to be closest to Eden so the eruption affected it more. Wasteland looks like a factory area so perhaps the eruption caused destruction to the whole area and harmful chemicals mixed with water causing it to my poisonous to Sky kids. But the Vault, it has no dark plants. imo, since it is called "Vault of Knowledge" the spirits who are present there managed to create a protection that is strong enough to block the eruption. because i think that the Vault is closest to Eden, so the eruption was supposed to affect it more. if the protection wasn't strong enough, expect a place worse than Wasteland but not as bad an Eden

the Elders were probably trying to make Eden a gift for Sky kids who went through all the realms. but during the creation, something probably went wrong. and what is that something? it has to be something really bad since the elders won't tell us

Also worth noting - We see similar light coming from the temples after we help the elders to ascend some of the spirits we collected. The beam on Eden could also similarly imply spirits/light ascending after their death. The mural in the Eye of Eden, iirc, shows light both drifting towards and coming from the crystal, implying it was very much meant to be a sort of passage way. Perhaps the Eden Crystal was meant to automatically ascend spirits, much like it was done manually by the elders before. Hell, perhaps it was meant to work like a sort of watermill, generating energy from the spirits passing through.

I think Aurora is not meant to be more as she is presented to us in the concert: A singer and storyteller. I loved the idea of someone here in this channel that she might even be the personification of a Voice, given form by the four spirits of the season to tell their stories.
Her self in giant godlike form is just meant to be a narrative device in some way.

Season of Aurora, Season of Flight and some previews of Sky's Animated Series did confirm that light creatures would be captured in order to be tamed for travel purposes. Who's to say they weren't captured for other purposes, such as seeing if they could use them as weapons for the war?

I managed to use that last bit to craft a lot of theories I’m really proud of. Ok this is either something you all thought of, something genius or it's really stupid. But I have a theory that the prophecy trials are memories that have been altered in very specific ways, I say this because in order to access the trials you have to light some white candles and sit within the circle similar to shared spaces. So in this way the cave of prophecy only consists of the main rooms and the "waiting" rooms to each trial whilst the trials do not exist.

Because of how tremendous and dangerous the war has become in the past, citizens of sky kingdom have no other choice but to seek refuge to the scholars of Vault of Knowledge in order for their memories of the war, preserve for many, many years. What was the reason? For them to reveal us the truth of how impactful the war is to the citizens. A lot of them thrive to survive the event only some of them ended in a tragedy. As we, Sky kids, must uncover the truth on what the kingdom hides.
But that’s a theory, A GAME THEORY!!!!

Im not sure how to describe it but the whole feeling of how the memories are done feels more personal than other seasons before. Perhaps because the spirits and their surroundings seem more alive than previous spirit encounters? Usually we don't see more than 2 or 3 spirits at a time in memories(other than some exemptions)

There’s this popular theory that the 3rd and upper floors of vault are more of a broken illusion trying to hold on together, and in the 2nd door area with belonging grandparent it’s much the same thing, purple light appears in that area.
I feel like the entire area of the vault building had some sort of illusion, which deteriorates the more you head up. Could also explain the elder statues in eden when they’re in vault aswell

This collaborates with remembrance cuz I wonder if the same thing is happening, the light/magic fading and revealing the new area, cuz the lil memory cube towers appeared a bunch of updates before the actual seasonal area itself

Looking at Tea Brewer's memory, I feel like there are some implications that the patient might have been a father figure or grandfather. Perhaps even one of the last people they had. It would fit in with the motif of the rememberance chatacters all losing someone close or potentially close to them. A child, a (potential) partner or friend, a parent, etc

Also someone mentioned that Bereft Veteran probably lived in Valley, can anybody explain why that was floated?

Also it’s interesting that the memories in the lamps are actually direct extracts from people’s memories, and not literal camera style recordings as I initially thought. This should also be a good explanation as to why what we see out of memory candles in the vault floors seem flawed, and missing pieces. If it was a recording it’d be more accurate and precise, but because it’s taken from someone’s memory, it’s more choppy

Also Looking at the Tea Brewer's memory... it looks like the kingdom's forces have grown to be very suspicious and oppressive sometime during the conflict.

As the war came into it's late stages and the darkness was coming, everyone quickly made these "memory capsules"- a person would go up to one, think of an object/person/idea, and that would be recorded into the capsule. The capsules would then be filed away into a vault that was nearly indestructible- with very little entry points and remote location. Perhaps these memory capsules were to file whatever was left, so that if a person died, their memories would not die with them.

This makes "Vault of Knowledge" a LOT more literal in it's name.

Ain’t it interesting that vault is the only place you see live trees. Besides the massive ones in forest and the dead ones at the ark. Like they all died out and are only preserved in memories

I also think my theory of them being from opposing sides is true. Veteran was a diamond, wounded warrior was a sun, this season shows what war effects had on people no matter what side. Maybe they settled differences

The mural too seems to show that memory cubes can take images from peoples mind and project them
