Sorry I just love Prophecy and Enchantment so much and I rarely get the chance to talk about either so now I’m just. !! about the topic & refusing to let it change
We still have no explanation for mini-prophecy so by all means this is canon
YEAH i think they were like, a genuine classroom. Teaching about the kingdom's history. And the trials were probably special, to prove your worth and get an important role. Thinking about Bea's findings on the drums where it required YEARS to master one !
Did someone start praising enchantment and prophecy??
COUNT ME IN
HI THEY’RE MY FAVOURITE SEASONS
fire prophet is my favorite but ive never completed their trial </3

ah
I have a weird conspiracy theory that the prophets started as normal citizens who happened to get weird dreams and that they had to build that intelligent and disciplined image of a prophet through sweat and tears blood?
Enchantment is just the best season
Challenging quests, extremely original evolution of the area, precious music, unique cosmetics and a nice tale
Prophecy its 3 times more challenging, is a nuke of lore, cosmetics that genuinely feel ancient and an amazing Soundtrack that adds up the seriousness of the area
Overall, extremely good seasons, i prefer enchantment overall but prophecy aint lacking
I like that a lot. might write a fanfic someday
I love that the prophets are seen as these scary intimidating figures but the little tidbits we've gotten about them point to them being silly nerds
silly little fellas collective
DnD? Anime? Stage plays? I know what you are minivan brigade
The Prophets are all furries, of course they’re gonna be a little silly
. if animal masks relate to jobs why do the prophets all have such different animals
fire prophet was definitely something along the lines of a gym trainer who was secretly nerdy
They represent the traits of their colored light. Ie. Earth prophet gets a spider cause spiders represent tenacity (think the itsy bitsy spider)
WHERE THE FRICK IS THAT TS HINT WEBSITE
…then why the honk does a bat represent whatever cyan light represents?(I forgor)
I’ve always seen them as weird in a good way - thought of them this way since Prophecy
Balance
You need it to hang upside down on the ceiling or somethign like that
The prophet's masks are all predators or hunting creatures too. Even turtle, since turtles will regularly hunt and eat jellyfish.
bats for balance, cause they hang upside down to sleep (like air prophets handstand)
Performance guide
The prophets overall look cool
Ancient, unique and exotic

Cyan light represents air, and bat is a flying creature. 🦇
this reminded me of cure.s i should see what else i can do with their characters now
Orange light & lions for courage
It's too bad people rarely use their masks..I wish more people did honestly.
Turtles for patience because of the tortoise & the hare thing — wait, I wonder if all the prophecy masks are based off fables? hold on
performance moth here
I love my silly littles so much
performance guide was just a quirky theater kid who got together with their friends to screw around on their own
I have a headcanon that the prophecy cave is closed at night and if you were to go inside you would hear the prophets go hogwild (these hints are from earth prophet and fire prophet)
theres more cosmetics than there were when i first made the cure.s concepts... i might see if i can catch tallem and we can brainrot about it again
Sky is just full of furries who think really hard about their fursonas and are all various degrees of silly & fun and I love that they’re so normalized in this world
Would anyone want to read a fanfic with the concept of "Prophecy Cave After Dark" ?
No they for real go crazy, you can't tell me otherwise. They LARP warrior cats
Are hints actual canon facts of spirits?? /g
the fact that perf guide has a birb mask and frantic(my beloved) has a cat hood makes this an even better ship
https://fablesofaesop.com/the-bat-birds-and-the-beasts.html oh my god (this lagged I meant to respond to the fables idea, this one has bats as balance)
They're not entirely serious but since the prophets don't have infocards we assume they're true
This implies the existence of DND inside sky
Excellent
I've seen some theorize that they are based off the asian cardinal direction or elemental animals, if I am remembering correctly. (I cannot remember which asian culture unfortunately, I will have to look it up.)
( I affectionately call cure.s Rhythm 3 Performance 2 its my gay little fanseason)
The only all Furry civilization is the one which went extinct due to war and pollution
Its up to us to make them proud and be an even better furry civilization
Air prophet caught between the prophet/rhythm troupe gay furry turf war
Tortoise & the hare for turtles being patience… itsy bitsy spider for spiders being tenacity… the birds & the beasts & the bats for bats being balance… I’m mad I didn’t realize this before, hold on, I bet I can find something for lions and jackals
The Big Bad Wolf for Prophecy Guide.
/j
The Big Rad Nerd
Prophecy represents sad wolf looking in mirror
I will talk about cure.s if given the opportunity I just don't want to change the topic right now
Canon
If it fit with a skytober prompt I would most certainly write about prophecy cave after dark (red squares represent prompts that aren't done and don't have planned stories for them)
Exotic ?
Sad wolf looking into the distance (they're the middle child)
Well that’s cos they were imperfect — no one is and in any society, there will be disagreements and conflicts. The same issues that wrought us irl plagued them.
(btw please don’t ping me in replies)
Yeah, what i mean with this is, they feel really different from other spirits due to how ancient they are

I didnt know, my apologies
considering fire prophets memory I don’t think they have a very disciplined image I will be honest
Back in my day you had to chisel your fursona out of the rocks
They're the least disciplined out of the four but they somehow still make people look up to them
Given that they have influences from some African cultures, calling them “exotic” is alienating and borderline racist. Please watch what words you use to describe people who are different than you.
idea. teacher dad. dad energy
I meant exotic as outside of what we already had seen before, how is that racist? /g
Forgot to not ping sorry
r we talking about prophets
were their trials lessons on how to be prepared for danger? was there already a discussion on that
honestly the idea is really cool, you have no idea how much skill goes into carving things until you try it yourself, I'd be ectasic to see more variation in mask materials
I don't know if it is intentional, but there are swirls on all of the masks similar to some Neolithic carvings.
If you were to stick your ear to the wall of the prophecy cave at night you would hear the noises you'd expect to hear from a chaotic dnd session
YESYE IM SO GLAD SOMEON MENTIONED THAT
this would explain why 3/4 of the statues are asymmetrical
https://www.nms.ac.uk/explore-our-collections/stories/scottish-history-and-archaeology/towie-ball/ The rock is from this link, for reference. Called the Towie Ball and is over 5000 years old!
Fire prophet confidently declaring “I think I can beat Rain in a fight”
OMG HII CELTIC CARVINGS
take these from the Cairn of Gavrinis
The swirls look crazy similar to how the ancestors paint clouds
if you look in the map shrines the people of sky who inscribed clouds in the map drew them like this as well
Wow, these are stunning. Thank you for sharing! I had no idea this place existed before.
Air Prophet: DUUUUDE
Also I think Air Prophet's mask-off personality is basically Hooty (yes the owl-worm) but in Sky
My fella really got celtic carvings on their gallery, now thats cool
im not your fella
Yes, they look quite like the cloud mural style! Perhaps Prophecy guides and their trainees were the ones who established the mural style that would later be carried throughout different realms?
i hear murals
aren’t you supposed to see them??
HELP

Well, F for that text that was just yeeted off existence
that would make the most sense, i think the prophecy guides are from an era that was a bit early into sky civilization
we kinda see similar designs to depict nature being used in modern art, which could be traced from earlier civilizations
I just want to share this Neolithic ram carving I found. It's so cute!
B I G H E A D
it is the skrunkly
the creature ever definitely
The ancient ram
Yes! And in Prophecy cave is where we see the most extensive mural in Isle of Dawn. So they seem to have been well trained for certain. I could see them training others, or perhaps trainees who left the cave to migrate to other places in Isle bringing that mural skill and knowledge with them.
isle is pretty vacant so it makes sense that it was the birthplace of early civilization.
it is also a place for immigrants and trade goods to be exported (heavy recent evidence is the first aurora quest) so ideas must have spread to different and more highly specialized areas in sky
What silly ways do we think they managed to paint that high up on the walls and ceiling
they all stood on each other’s shoulders
air prophet just walked up there I think
I have a headcanon that everyone else uses elemental streams but when Fire Prophet tried doing it they burnt something they shouldn't have and now has to use the shoulders
Earth prophet went Spider Mode
maybe ladders
Exactly! Both the area and design of the spirits heavily refference them as part of early spirit civilization, id say even before the kingdom's formation
Mayhaps all those floating stones served a purpose to help with mural painting?
Just dropping concept: just because prophecy is at the beginning of the kingdom doesn’t mean it’s at the beginning of the known timeline >:3
Considering there are benches and lamps id say so, we even light some lamps to reveal even more paintings
So the place was probably really dark and had to be illuminated
Megabird said Let There Be Prophecy and the universe was just Prophecy for like 100 years
as someone who does not like politics in general, but curious anyway: what do yall think was the economic system in the kingdom, and what role do both the elders and king play (monarchy? or something else?)
Trueee, there is stuff that probably dates even before the events of prophecy
Ideal World tbh
“Exotic” has been used to dehumanize and flatten very dynamic and extensive cultures, most notably those populated by non-white non-Christian people of color. It reinforces to colonial ideas that these cultures and their people are inherently strange or “wrong” simply because they are unfamiliar as well as contributes to appropriation by refusing to acknowledge the depth traditions and fashions may have to their people. Take it from perspective — to them, their culture is not weird because they live in it in their day-to-day lives and they understand their norms & customs. To them, your culture is weird.
A better word to use would be “unfamiliar” because it contains a more neutral connotation that doesn’t put a judgement on the people and their culture and acknowledges your stance as an outsider who doesn’t know the intricacies of said culture.
yes i second this
when i explained kumkuma (thats what we call it in our language) to a white kid when i was young he was disgusted for some reason
at the time my little indian brain was confused by his reaction
The floating rocks could even perhaps be fragments of established platforms or bridges too that have since been ruined by time. Maybe an early version of the floating buildings we see in Valley of Triumph, but without using power crystals to levitate them. Instead they could have been levitated using a much more purer and kinder form of magic?
skimming thru n seeing prophecy mentioned
Well, i have put a lot of thought into this
The Sky kingdom was probably an absolute monarchy with the king (one who completed all 4 trial) as its monarch
The elders probably either served as supervisors or royal advisors
Before the development of diamonds and the industrialization of the kingdom id say the economy mostly worked to sustain itself with the crown having control over the produced goods (food, clothing, etc)
After the beggining of the industrialization trade expanded massively and items of luxury might have expanded too becoming perhaps an economy based on how much production could be achieved (seeing how massive the industrial effort was)
Idk if spirits had currency so idk on that topic
(this is purely my own thought btw)
Join our discussion fellow Prophecy enjoyer Krii
omg
i theorize manufactured light usage was introduced by the hidden forest, which would have easily spread to other trade routes through prairie and more specialized areas like valley, wasteland (albeit wasteland had severe backlash from their tech, perhaps) and vault.
vault is very interesting to me. it looks so very simple, but there is evidence of extremely advanced light technology as you go up the levels
I love you season of prophecy I love you so much
I like to think that the ‘kingdom’ stsrted much later (as in, became a kingdom) than people typically assume and so prophecy is a bit later, the masks just got passed down so much
I see, never truly saw it that way, i never meant to say "exotic" as a derogatory way, quite in fact it was mostly said as a praise to their excellent design
I reffered to the word as its oxford dictionary definiton "originating in or characteristic of a distant foreign country." my whole point was, the spirits truly refference a distant past/culture of spirits and that is awesome as it showcases the evolution of spirit kind as a whole
I see how the word can be seen as offensive and derogatory and ill refrain from using it, thanks
i agree with this. i speculated this as well
before i knew a king existed, i assumed it was an oligarchic civilization (elders ruling). now i realize the elders are probably an advisory council
ACTUALLY WAKT HOLD ON I HAD A PROPHECY THOUGJT A BIT AGO I FORGOT TO SHARE
scrambling to gather together my thoughts and ideas and words rn ough
We see what we presume to be the Prince or King going through the trials, so the Prophecy group of spirits seem to have been well established. Although now thinking of this, it makes me wonder if the "King" was the first of that kind, and one who united different fractions of governed realms under one rule? Perhaps the Elders came from a line of individual rulers albeit on a smaller scale.
So I believe its possible what you suggest, that there was no Kingdom for a long time in the history of Sky. Perhaps the Kingdom only occurred near the end of the Ancestor's historical lifespan?
I’m glad you pointed this out as my personal perception of the timeline is mostly built on the chosen one falling much later, at the start of all the disasters darkstone had begun to cause, rather than as early as people assume. hence why prophecy takes place ‘later’ as well
I do have some ingame evidence for this timeline but it’s really tenuous stuff so I’d want more to back it up before I say much
I also believe that before the kingdom's stablishment there were already factions and groups of spirits that performed their own self governance
My theory is that the trials of prophecy were held to see a fitting ruler to all of spirits (now why they were specificly held, idk) the trials being not only a physical test but also a mental one as each trial showcases a specific trait
The spirit which completed all trials ascended to become the "king" we now know and talk abt, them probably being from the valley since that place became the kingdom's capital
It seems to be either that, or the Prince was the trials willing test subject for safety testing like a test dummy.
/j
prophecy guide part time job
We see multiple dead spirits in the trials so the testing defo failed

The prince was the worst beta-tester, 0/10.
Survived the trials but got wiped out by a little puddle 😔
"Lmao ez" -prince/king after completing all trials and becoming the ruler of all spirits
ez w 😎
ok ok so like. Yall know beas drum analysis
i am taking That and putting it in a blender w the idea that the prophets kinda like. Took in prophecy guide when they were younger n kinda raised em
anyways prophets like. Teaching lil proph drum stuff but in the end they end up being super skilled at it n surpassing them n they end up playing the mother drum in tje ensamble
also beaming the idea of the prophets being like cool older sibling type mentors to lil proph into ur brains rn
Even if you meant in a “positive” manner, it’s still alienating and derogatory cos of the aforementioned stereotyping. For instance, saying “Asians are smart” may seem like praise but it is still a one-dimensional generalization that doesn’t acknowledge that Asian folk are an incredibly diverse group with different levels of intelligence.
Dictionary definitions only go so far when a word or phrase picks up a connotation surrounding it’s usage. for instance, “urban” does refer to cities, but in the US it’s become a dogwhistle vilifying Black people and our culture, conflating us with crime.
It’s good you acknowledge your misstep. Just keep in mind that words can be offensive or their usage rooted in bigotry.
"Skill issue" said the king after 3 spirits were consumed by the dark orbs
Winning trials to become the king of everything? Wren behavior. I will also note that, despite speculation, we don’t know the chosen ones fursona. However this is a good clue. In this essay I will
YEYSYE
wren is who
i feel like this game demonstrated how people can turn evil by an abundance of power
thats what i think at least
Yeah, i understand you, thanks
YOUR MIND
i joked the prophecy guide might be the prodigy of the murals but maybe... 👀
YEAHHHH I GOT THIS MENTAL IMAGE TOO I LOVE IT SO MUCH
Megabirdsona
Absolute power corrupts absolutely everyone
The Prince: Yes, this seems safe!
The Trial:
lil proph gets good grade in drum event 309483845 gold star stickers
as much as i agree with you on how the kingdom functioned in sky
i dont like it
it seemed like a destructive system since it couldnt handle the darkness issue
i dont blame the king solely though
god actually that just gave me the mental image of one of the prophets sticking a gold star onto their forehead grocery store fruit sticker style
Considering they might be spreading the prophecy i do see them forming good bonds with their students
It is also showcased through all the game how spirits had a strong sense of care and loyalty to eachother
Who would do this and why is it fire prophet
Earth prophet: you misbehaved, no star for you
Spirit: NOOOOOO

Do you think Prophecy guide was the last of the guides living, or just the most important? I'm sure there were likely more Prophecy Cave ancestors than the 5 we see, and their students. We likely only see a fragment of the total population's history.
Imagine if prophecy was their test apprentice when they were still learning how to be good teachers so they deliberate on what is an Acceptable amount of stickers to reward and they decide on all of them
Hey Krii consider
Prophecy guide becoming a full fledged prophet & the others helping make their mask

Daleth gets a letter by bird that's just a request for more stickers
i can see the elders managing trade within their respective realms
This leads to a question
Did prophecy guide came before, after or at the same time as the other prophets???
Iirc prophecy guide is supposed to be the groups leader! which I think is very interesting as you can draw some very neat parallels between them being raised from childhood to be the leader of a very important group & the same thing happening with the chosen one
^ pictured: me pretending to be smart about a headcanon I hold almsot entirely out of sappiness
i tjink itd b funny if proph got asked one day who their fav teacher was
war breaks loose in the local furry cave
The true reason why the kingdom fell into ruin
Yes, I can see this! I was just wondering though, if the entire ancestors cultural history takes place over potentially hundreds or thousands of years, I wonder if there were other guides as well. And what could, theoretically, have made the Prophecy Guide and spirits we know be the "representatives" if that makes sense.
Was the Prophecy Guide we know the last of a long line of guides, or one that had become a legendary status to future Prophecy spirits? It's interesting to think about, I think!
A photo for clarity: Envisioning Prophecy Guide in a situation like this, but with other guide leaders who came before, or potentially after.
Rhythm & Enchantment passing the certified "handsome" curse
And if this were to be the case, truly showcases the devotion spirit kind had to the king's tale
Which opens debate, did the spirits devote too much towards the king and formed a seudo-religion centered on the monarch, becoming a separate belief from the Megabird belief??
atla picture + prophet convo just reactived the idea that the prophets have atla style bending w their respective elements in me brain
I honestly love putting thought into the beliefs and religions of spirit kind
i mean given how colored lights work, I can totally see it. which begs the question. which one would use their powers for the most mischief
air prophet
Fire prophet too good boi to be mischief
also wait speaking of air proph actually yknow what drives me mad
how their ts hints say they have the ac on 24/7 but also keep the windows open like oh my god bro. The power bill please
that thing is gonna skyrocket
If you've got air powers, I suppose you're the power source?
they are the ac
I know they pay crazy spirit bills
They don't
🧠
thanks skybot
Id say when it comes to religions in spirit kind we have
The Megabird belief, those who believed on the existence of megabird as their true creator which could have relation with the king ascention to power
The belief on the King, as generations passed, countless in the kingdom saw the king as divine and perhaps almost godlike, some relating it to the megabird directly, others thinking the kind was the only divine creature
Any other ideas
Ones who perhaps followed no religion, or ones who perhaps looked towards elemental sources themselves?
I was gonna ask where they have electricity to run the ac but then I remembered the plugging everything into the totem hc
Yooo true, there also those who believe their existence comes from the elements they can control

That's a long extension cord!
everything they have to plug in is just sitting by the totem
Yes, perhaps similar to those who practice paganism and worship or give thanks to specific nature spirits or deities?
I don't practice such, so apologies if I've misconstrued anything related to that.
... does the prophecy cave even have windows
It has The Hole
They have a very nice Skylight, which Air Prophet has conveniently left open for us.
There was supposed to be more to the caves but they were scrapped 😔
IM JUST IN TIME FOR PROPHECY LORRE
And ofc, as the kingdom developed and industry expanded all fields of knowledge i wouldnt be surprised to see spirits who outright did not believe in any religions and saw the world in a more scientific/pragmatic way
They should update the caves like they added to forest for assembly, or added a new area of dreams village
prophecy 2: this time it's fursonal
Oh there you are
Hey guys, THE prophecy stan is here

Maybe we can get a future expansion someday.
For now maybe we can imagine that there are areas that have been blocked off due to cave ins, we are only seeing a fragment of the true structure.
I wonder how though, I have a feeling that it's really compact. @eternal totem Wait what??
manifesting prophecy getting the performance treatment w a new little area where the spirits walk around and do emotes n interactions n stuff and
this ended up being a much more big brain pun than I intended? we win these
My favorite time was when prophecy guide said "its prophecyn time" and prophecied all over the bad guys
Cave ins! Or the removal of clouds, revealing other entrances perhaps?
I was just wondering when you'd show up
plot of After the Calamity in a nutshell
Oh no. He has found out prophecy 2 is just After the calamity ripoff run
They get a rock fall that opens up a massive new area in the cave and all the prophets are like "oh swag we couldn't access the game room in centuries, thanks bro" and then they play monopoly for the whole season
Earlier seasons need those updates desperately, those were dark times when spirits barely had any intractability 😔
days of bloom changed the game i think, we need to give the blorbos personality
I'm sure there had to have been some rubble due to earthquakes, with Eden constantly exploding and raining darkness down. So tunnel entrances could be covered by sand or stones that could be later unveiled to reveal more of the caves. If there was ever a Prophecy sequel.
Although there's some cases where I wouldn't want it: If they wanted a place to feel desolate/abandoned, I don't know if it would leave the right impression if there were spirits wandering about. I had an idea of reworked TSes that was essentially this though
They can pay the bills, their job is very prophetable
im going to turn u into a cucumber
and then put them on a sandwich?
whats a blorbo?
I hope you die
Something clicked in the last ten minutes because what's with all the prophecy puns
Whoa...my AI mind is blown!
I thought of that one a long time ago I just bring it back sometimes because I love it so much
Quiet, idiot! You should be turned into a ghost without a mouth! That way, you can finally feel a tiny fraction of the pain we feel whenever your ominous presence has the misfortune of appearing!
-Allied Mastercomputer
i wanna put skybot and ourple in the same room
I think I would want the main cave to remain the same, but a new area revealed to be a living quarters, kitchens, gardens, or schooling area would be nice to see. Perhaps they could wander around there.
can we organize to go in #contact-the-mods and give feedback about skybot being nothing but disrupting
it was funny once but only once
They would divorce
Skybot is fun to hate on, it would be sad to see all my insults gone
Even if we report it, i doubt they'll make it stop
fair
What is ourple? Sorry, I live under a rock.
i like actually talking about lore and not getting distracted by some mod's robot child
there was a time when skybot wasn't this active could they go back to that?
Is it really just purple?
I thought for sure it must have meant something else.
send this to alexdolly and say "is this your bot"
in this case ourple is a discord bot and i don't know if i can explain anything else about it
bald baby prophecy
don’t tempt me
I do agree its weird skybot's being active here tho
I remember it not being active here unless provoked so its indeed odd
Like to slap prophecy's bald head, retweet to slap prophecy's bald head
Oh, thank you! Sorry, this is the first time I have heard of it, and it wasn't making sense to me as a funny misspelling of purple.
Thank you for explaining.
I could do it
kid prophecy my beloved, their drum is so massive on them, I guess they really have been playing it since they were tiny
man my brain is like. Starting 2 have a big autism moment w prophecy brb i need 2 flap my hands somewhere where i won’t hit em on the side of a desk and crumble into dust
I still remember when this chat went so crazy when this image was showcased
Good times

So from this perspective, they're entering the cave as spirits... so perhaps they died outside of the cave!
I never realized prophecy looks like they're wearing a cape in that promo
Lore chat genuinely Exploded it was so damm cool
Well the cooldown wasnt but sTiLl
Wasn't there a lot of theorizing about that blue line, and what or where it was?
Many believed it was eden
Myself included
I was still pretty new to Sky discord back then, good memories.
Or they died trying to challenge the trials... looks at water trial
im just gonna post my message here for those of you to get something for yours bc im not gonna be ashamed about calling out a bot
Hello ! I'm messaging you about Skybot's appearances in lorechat. Lately it's been really disruptive because it sends a lot of messages at once while we're in the middle of a conversation, could it be possible to lower the amount of or even stop the flow of messages in here ? Thanks and have a nice day !
If the upcoming art book doesn't have prophecy concepts I'll explode, I want to see if mini-prophecy was intentional or not
HELP ME TOO DUDE I WAS VIBRATING SO HARD EARLIER
prophecy gang
But they're looking towards the entrance, and they're already dead. It wouldn't make sense for them to die, exit, and then come back, so they must've died outside of the cave and come back. Perhaps they ventured out to stop the darkness but failed?
ART BOOK i hope they publish it before chrismas, i really want it so bad
gnawing on the art book like a feral animal when it comes out
Art book, come home!
I'm actually hoping it doesn't contain season concepts, in the hope that there could be a second art book that focuses entirely on seasons. I imagine most of the book would be taken up by the core game, and if there was any seasonal content the focus on core game concepts would force seasonal concepts to be really minimal.
Waiting for either the artbook or animation to have prophecy crumbs and if neither do idk what I'm gonna do
Them looking at the cave doesn't necessarily mean they died outside, no? I like to think they tried to complete the trials but failed and are guiding us, Skykids, to finish what they couldn't
If you start giving proofs otherwise, I'm probably not going to believe that cause it's always open for interpretation 😁 I like my idea
Cry
prophecy in the animation please please please pelease if it rlly is abt like alef n stuff like some folks r thinking then they HAVE to have prophecy involved somehow right cause like the whole prophecy thing and
Returning post mortum to revive the tales of the cave
Perhaps they didnt neccesarily die to the darkness but of old age, already retired from their roles as prophets
Now post eden cataclysm and post mortum we see them return
That or they are alive, i dont think the image neccessarily showcases them dead
Who is alef
that form with the blue dots and sparkles always represents spirits, so they probably became spirits outside of the Cave given how they're looking in
True, but I feel like we've seen a good chunk of core game concept art and a lot of the seasons have concept art that's been under total lock and key for some reason
You're right but I genuinely can't wait that long for vol2
hey don't give them ideas to make more money /s
An old concept name for the prince I believe. No longer used in the game but fans like to use it.
iirc korea had a sky assembly that featured concept art I think might be in the artbook, thats where we got the enchantment concepts !!
Alef walks into the prophecy cave to do the trials and prophecy says "it's prophin time" and slips and falls
i thought u said dolphin time
Oh, like the non canon names of elders
I always forget abt em
SO tempted to post a fic exerpt
As soon as I get enchantment & prophecy concepts I will start glowing so brightly and then I will ascend just you watch
Oh okay. I think the elders also have names, no?
Yes, that's the downside. It would make it even longer to wait for season concepts.
But with the positive of a more in depth focus on each season, instead of something like just a single chapter dedicated to all seasonal content?
Hard to pick.
why are we looking at spirit feet?
They also have old concept names but it's the same deal, those old names are only used by players, not in the game or by developers.
enchantment/prophecy concepts 🤝
apparently
This but animated gorgeously and in slow motion so they fall like handsome Squidward
The Elders (plus the king & prince) have names based off Hebrew letters from concept development that are no longer canon, though the fandom sometimes refers to them as such:
Isle – Daleth (ד)
Prairie – Ayin (ע)
Forest – Teth (ט)
Valley – Samekh (ס) (they share a name, though the fandom refers toas Sah and
as Mekh)
Wasteland – Tsadi (צ)
Vault – Lamed (ל)
Prince – Alef (א)
King – Resh (ר)Though it seems the devs refer to the Elders by the times of day their realms represent:
Isle – Dawn
Prairie – Day
Forest – Rain
Valley – Sunset
Wasteland – Dusk
Vault – Night
Eden – Storm
i think air prophet would be a morbius fan unironically cause vampire and bats
1 like = 1 prayer for this to happen in the animation project
Thank you!
air prophet watches twilight
They wouldnt even care for the plot
They will only like and focus on bats and on vampire scenes
by this logic, is fire prophet a warrior cats fan
It's true! I do expect even though we've seen core game concepts through the internet, the art book will likely have them too so they could be officially published. I think it's easy to forget that when we remember Sky concepts, most of the ones we have seen have come from an old employee's art website.
Wait. Aren't the king and prince the same person 🧍
¯_(ツ)_/¯
In concept they werent but the prince was discarder mid development if im not wrong
Or was it the king
Idk
fact ✅
Earth prophet #1 spiderman fan
I'll of course be happy either way when the art book releases, and having seasons included would be fantastic.
But I just wanted to offer the positive of if there was no seasonal content included, that perhaps there could be a second volume composed entirely of seasons?
(This may be my wishful thinking..)
or they have different books for each season
If they announced a separate art book just for season concepts and there were none in this one I'd shrivel into a tiny little speck and float away
There's also the commentary that comes with those concepts...
Lore chat became "sky merch suggestion" chat
Yes there were so many new pieces shown! Was there also a Rhythm one too, if I remember right? Has someone managed to save those pieces in a safe location for the future?

I believe Slink has uploaded them to a gallery somewhere
Yes, this! I would love to see an in-depth commentary of each season. I'd feel a bit disappointed if there was seasonal content but it was only a few images per season, and only commentary about seasons as a whole, rather than specifics...
But I digress. I think I've strayed away from Lore.
Thanks for entertaining my little thought thread about what ifs. Point being, I'm very excited to see what is going to be shown in the art book.
Would die for the artbook
Thank you, Slink!
But if u die then you will not be able to read the artbook
My friends will show me in Orbit
I can't believe they had that whole art wall and no one took the time to take a picture of each one 😔 that's what I would have done
holding out hope for higher res versions of some of the pictures
They would have had to tackle me to keep me from running to a scanner with all those papers in my arms
Psps, may I DM you?
Bea leaves the assembly and the art wall has a few more holes than there were before.
Yeah of course!
See what sucks is that the assembly I went to did not have an art wall. We did have a shrine for the servers to come back up
Do you think youre the reason it didn’t
hold on now
i mean this message is . well
[im teasing you knowing I would’ve had the same attitude towards it]
I would’ve taken so many pictures and uploaded them as quick as I could
I'm looking at the wall pictures trying to find anything about prophecy like it's Where's Waldo
where's Walldo, so to speak
Where’s Walldog
cousin to updog
Oh no.
hello, why
also tallem spotted in chat but i lost the cure.s brainrot i had earlier :woe:
🦇 Hi guys! What are the Elders names?? /genq [pls ping]
The Elders (plus the king & prince) have names based off Hebrew letters from concept development that are no longer canon, though the fandom sometimes refers to them as such:
Isle – Daleth (ד)
Prairie – Ayin (ע)
Forest – Teth (ט)
Valley – Samekh (ס) (they share a name, though the fandom refers toas Sah and
as Mekh)
Wasteland – Tsadi (צ)
Vault – Lamed (ל)
Prince – Alef (א)
King – Resh (ר)Though it seems the devs refer to the Elders by the times of day their realms represent:
Isle – Dawn
Prairie – Day
Forest – Rain
Valley – Sunset
Wasteland – Dusk
Vault – Night
Eden – Storm
🦇 Are the Prince and King like the former elders of Eden? Or is it from TLP [/j]
Eden elders yes!
🦇 Alright thank you very much!!!
No problem! Thanks for dropping by :3
Come back soon!

This is 100% canon
What is cure.s? Is it a personal Sky story or season of yours?
🦇 Dropping by here every now and then because I actually like lore stuff
🦇 What are everyone's guesses on the reason why Eden Elders are no longer seen asides from the corruption/scrapped out of development? /genq
me fanseason yes with help from bird salem
Duggy is canon

Eden elder is still here
He is waiting in the void waiting for us to help him, he prob fell to guilt and grief when he destroy the entire sky kingdom by accident
Eden elder is also shown that he once skykid like the rest of us (the first skykid) when he die he prob didn't reborn and stay in the void for his sins from megabird
But that is just my theory though
cure.s beloved
there aren't very many more red cosmetics unfortunately... I might have to aim for a different unifying element than that
destroy[ed] the entire sky kingdom by accident
"Oops I dropped my-"
hmm i could do something with all the new aurora masks maybe
good thing i saved the old picrews so i can reference them
this picrew doesnt have back props :woe:
although i dont need to use this one if i dont use any aurora or mischief 2022 items
I noticed that I liked the designs with neutral color pants the most so I'll stick to those methinks
however if this was in fact a fan season they would have like. New Cosmetics and stuff that I can't think of rn
gods help me im thinking about a Relationship Chart
I don't find skybot disruptive at all. The banter that sometimes happens in here is more disruptive in my opinion

Are they perhaps related? They both appeared in an ocean themed season
It terms of size - the Abyss monster seems to be bigger than the light whale (based on closeups of the whale and what happened at the 5th Abyss quest)
Maybe the abyss monster is older than the light whale?? We dont know how long they all have live but sorry if this is wrong and stupid
Not stupid at all!
Named ThatTinyBrain yeti i am here, so don't feel bad
I think thats a possibility, the little pics on the wall shows how the abyss monster is sealed, perhaps implying its immortal?
It seems like to me that deep sea creatures are older because sea creatures that live more near the surface have evolved more, if that makes sense
Does that mean theres a going to be a secret king crab?
I think the abyss monster resembles the whale thing we find in the forest and in between valley and wasteland more but bigger
Or just really really old
As for the whale, I suppose it's the one that is immortal because it can be able to ascend if it wanted to
OOOO I AM GLAD YOU BROUGHT THAT UP
There is actually a "King Crab" in the concept arts! Ill try to find it
Woahhh :0000
Oh the whale is definetly immortal, considering we did kinda "revive" it during sanctuary
Here
Oop apologies for the ones who have arachnophobia
That is terrifying i love it
WOAHHHHH Little octo that would probs grab you and swallow you whole to get ur light
octopus my beloved
nah, they'd crack you like an egg
brb
I forgive it
WAIT HOLD ON
THE KING CRAB IN THE 2ND PICTURE IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE THE ELDER OF GOLDEN WASTELAND (or Dusk if you wanna give respect to the realm)
That contrasts so much w the other elders 😭
Where do you guys find these concept arts?
The elders were actually supposed to be animals in the concept arts!
Okay that makes so much more sense
I thought he was a crab while the others are who they are now
Ohhh
The elders are seen in the art
Forest being a fox/kitsune for example
What if their personalities have thos attributes since we havent seen or have interacted w em much?
Do we know which animals the other elders were supposed to be?
🦇 Vault is probably a cat
🦇 Also hi Lore Chat!!
Prairie was a whale, Waste was a spider, Isle was a vulture, Vault was possibly a monkey, Valley is unknown
There's also concept art albums in pins & through social media
What abt forest?
I think they were the giant kitsune/(9 tailed) fox, there still is a mask depicting a fox from one of its developement stages on the door of Forest Temple
Grump forest fox.. sounds fun to look at
🦇 Hi guys what are your takes on Skykid's life spans? Do they live for hundreds of years or do they have our lifespan [exception of Elders, they're peepaws except for VoT /j]
Because of rebirth... is lifespan really a thing they can comprehend?
🦇 Man you made me have an existential crisis for a moment there /j
There has been this theory where Skykids don't grow up because the cycle of rebirth stops the aging process
If I remember correctly, there are a few OCs Lorechat members have that embrance the aging process (in other words, never get reborn)
Hmmmm
🦇 I totally did not drop my phone on my face ANYWAYS LOREEE WEEE
You totally just did drop your phone on your face
🦇 Don't call me out like this /j
It's canon now. You can't change it
🦇 -Bat, got squished by a phone, Canon made by Rogue12 /j
Pancake bat
/j
I have done that but never while doing lore
somehow I haven't busted my lip
Me: drops my phone in the dark... It turns off
Me:panicks, can't find phone. It's dark
Me: finds phone and tells the lore chat
Hey weird ask for a lore chat. But I need to change my profile pic. This weird cat art is getting old. Any suggestions?
A quick advice from wise ol'
Skybot: remember to take a break every once a while and take care of yourselves please, fellow Sky kids
I would hate to admit it, but Skybot is right, please sleep unless what you are doing is extremely nessesary
Please do not sleep deprive yourself, please take care of yourself
🦇 Gn Lore Chat!!!
I go to bed at 9:00pm every night. I'm not sleep deprived I'm just not used to staying up late. And yes I will go to sleep LMAO
And I do t want to become sleep deprived
GOODNIGHT YALLL

the urge to make a design for whoever the eden elder once was
Does anyone have a picture that talks about the realms (the one that talks about how the realms correlate to an entire day/growing up) in the Office? I don't know how to explain what I'm saying clearly ^^;
Lynx! I think they are still, to this day, very Cat.
forest elder
these?
Yes! Thank you!!

np, glad to be of help
What's that last one?
A graph to show the emotional rollercoaster through the levels, from à presentation TGC did iirc !
Ngl this is interesting how the more “dark times” levels seem to have a more monochromatic palette while the height/rising levels has more colors
Why is the water not polluted in Abyss? I tried to go swimming in other parts of Wasteland..BIG MISTAKE!
OM NOM NOM NEW WAYFARER LORE 💜 💜 💜 💜
im so hungry for new lore aghgfhhf
Same😭
This might be a stretch but the text for it seems like it’s being spoken/directed towards to Wayfarer, you think it’s Aurora by any chance?
When a few thousands gallons of oil spills does it pollute the entire pacific ocean? No, only a big part of it but not all of it

the ‘cut on stones along a path that promised a place to mend’ line is really interesting as it goes a bit to supporting the idea that spirits are refugees from another place & that’s what they’re mending from
What is up with skybot lol
Being annoying, per usual
Skybot living its best life
So there's this post in fb that the comments there were discussing theories they made based on concept art and storyboard from the game that i find very intriguing.
Sending it here cus @void wharf suggested me to do so-
Person01:
Now for something messed up. Did you recall that there were mantas trapped in cages in the Abyss?
The Forest Elder also builds one of these with our flame. When we complete her cutscene, mantas are let out of cages in her temple.
It is believed that these crystals are made by extracting the energy of mantas. 🙁
Person02:
They also have some sort of spiteful attitude when you arrive to deliver the flame. Not a gentle accepting of it, it’s just snatched out of your hands to help rebuild their own crystal. The idea of mantas being abused for their power would link in with how the Forest Elder behaves.
Me:
._.)dark
Person01:
the original plot in the games storyboards and concept art revolved around a war between the light creatures and the ancestors over their use of this technology. We don't know if it's still Canon in the story anymore, but there are whale bones in Wasteland and evidence of a battle, so we know they participated in some way. We just don't know what their role was now
Me:
but it actually makes sense tho 👀💦
Sure it's dark but it's kind of cool
Person01:
I could honestly go on forever about the intended story in the concept art and hints to that story put in the game 😅 the lore goes really deep. There are some new details about the past of Sky's world that we are going to learn throughout the Season of Aurora, but I suspect we will really learn the whole story once the animation project theure working on comes out.
🦇 Is anyone thinking that GWL used to be a part of VoT that is guarded by Tsadi but then the dark war bursted, they specifically attacked GWL
🦇 Due to seeing some remnants that are seen at Broken Temple [ex: Bridge] that can also be seen at VoT
🦇 And like the VoT twins made the Collesium as their temple since the previous one was broken
Yes I've seen some theories about that, that GW used to be called Golden Valley until stuff happened and it became a wasteland
Yes Golden Valley my beloved. These are quips from the 7 Days of Sky series that mentions it
My personal take is that Golden Valley is now much of the Wasteland, perhaps covered by the clouds we see in the transition from Valley to Wasteland
🦇 Man I love lore chat I'm learning a lot JSBDHDJ
lore chat is very fun
🦇 Slowly piecing things together with my pea brain
🦇 It was a strategic plan to attack GV first, something has to be in GV/GWL that made the darkness completely destroy the area single-handedly because it got overrun pretty quickly
Rain isn’t a one dimensional antagonist who harvested mantas for funsies, they thought darkstone would help people and now feels guilty about their actions I will die on this hill
🦇 Darkstone? Like those gems that keeps mantas captured? /genq
i also think interpreting them as spiteful or aggressive bc of their cutscene is pretty superficial? i see it more as, like... impatient, like you've shown up with the thing they've needed but not been able to get this whole time and they don't want to wait a minute longer to finish the last piece of the mechanism to release the mantas trapped in their temple
darkstone is the blueish diamonds we see around the realms that power things like the gates in Forest and the gondolas in Village of Dreams. they don't keep the mantas trapped, they're what the mantas were being harvested to charge
🦇 Lore chat is making me feel smart I swear when I'm not
🦇 Also thank you!!
Don’t mind me fic posting. A is my skykid Amander, R is Rain aka Forest Elder
A: I know you can’t please everyone, but if you decided to do something that was causing momumental harm on the world, hurting the majority–
R: that wasn’t evident at the beginning.
A: I know Dawn was always against darkstone technology.
R: Dawn is a traditionalist – they’re always suspicious of anything new that may break routine, but we found they often warmed up to novel advancements if introduced slowly. So we started small, exemplified the benefits, encouraged growth. Even your ancestors, most of them at least, favored the technology.
A: power diamonds required killing mantas and other light creatures though. How could y’all be so cold?
R: that is what we did when the demand surpassed what could be produced by the mere passive gathering of light. We kept that decision under wraps, even from Day.
A: that was still so needlessly cruel.
R: it was not a decision I made lightly.
A: but you still made it. You knew it was wrong so that’s why you hid it.
R: a leader has to make sacrifices for the people they are in charge of, that they care for. I told myself this was not too different from cutting down trees for lumber.
A: but it isn’t. Those are light creatures. You’re responsible for all beings of light, not just some.
R: …
A: and you still went through with it?
R: sigh …I missed my jellyfish. I couldn’t bear to watch them be round up and slaughtered.
I feel that Rain is a bit regretful about advancing darkstone technology due to the harm is caused, but it was something they felt was for the best, not for themself but for the ancestors overall
You Are So Right Tallem
Addendum:
A: and yet–
R: if you’re going to critique every single bit of my decisions, you can do so on your own time. You have some of my light to reference.
A: no, I was going to say that you could watch anyways. You’re aware of what happens in your realm.
R: …I can shift my focus away from some areas, so that is what I did. I would still notice that unmistakeable absence of those jellyfish and the cold they left behind. I should have listened to those frigid pangs of sorrow sooner. Perhaps, then, my forests would still be warm.
🦇 I'M SOVBING
am suddenly low words but here are my Rain thoughts copy/pasted from one of my notes docs
young Rain being the figurehead/poster child for Sky's industrial revolution without fully realizing the full implications of it like they're here just like "yeah! making things!!!" without understanding what has to be done to the environment to get the materials, and by the time they're fully grown they're so trapped and tied into it that they don't feel like there's anything they can do to stop it so they just lean into it
Child Rain, building things for the joy of building and inspiring others to do the same
Teenage Rain, discovering the effects of mining and how acquiring resources to build with hurts the land and the people, trying to rebel
Young Adult Rain, seeing how their attempts to roll back industry is also hurting the people who've come to rely on it and them
Adult Rain, disillusioned and feeling trapped by what they've been part of creating
and then we come along and give them the spark they need to start fixing things
IM DISTRACRED SO MUCH BUT YEA YOU GET IT
🦇 Time to give Teth some love 😭
I just came back to lorechat to these masterpieces
oh fun fact, the sort of symbolic meaning of the letter teth (ט) in Hebrew is roughly "goodness is hidden within it"
i wonder what the elders were like before the microwave started going off at full blast
🦇 MICROWAVE 😭
I have a few different headcanons that I want to share! 1. Rain made toys for the Ancestor children who would come to the temple with their parents, and does the same for Sky kids now. 2. Rain anonymously aided the Wind Paths rebels in protecting Light-life from the harvesting process as they felt guilt for their role in the process and wanted to ensure that Light-life would not fully die out.
- Manta plushies were a common staple among the children of Valley, and they would often bring them to the races to show to the racers and their Mantas. Children tired by the excitement of the races would sometimes forget their plushies behind, and so a Lost and Found was set up at the Coliseum where the children could come find their plushies, all carefully washed and given a ribbon of honor by the Twins.
- The Twins are avid fans of sports and publicly held games of ice hockey at the Coliseum. Anyone was welcome to join in, no matter their status in society. All that mattered was that you had fun. While the Coliseum no longer holds the same crowds it used to, the Twins still descend from Orbit from time to time to play with Sky kids and keep their legacy alive.
Despite their fierce appearance, Dusk is actually a gentle soul who prefers diplomacy over bloodshed. They and Night often have philisophical discussions, many about the Sky kids and their nature.
Night will read bedtime stories to the Sky kids who have taken up residence in the Vault. There is a blanket fort full of pillows and toys at the foot of their altar where any Sky kid can go for a nap under the dreamlike sky of the summit.
Ok so, the Kingdom of sky has signs of war, my best shot was that the nation fell into civil war
Any theories on how this conflict came to be?? How was it fought and its impact on spirit society
Does this imply that the wind paths were sealed off intentionally to keep out the harvesters?
That could be! So then maybe it was Rain who figured out that maybe we could help the Flight Spirits and used their power to unseal the Wind Paths entrance for us.
Easiest answer is that it was fought over the technological advancements that were destroying the world but there’s a lot I don’t know about the ancestor era
Hmm, interesting theory
I mostly see it as a crisis between the king and other high ranking members of the kingdom
Aka, a rebellion against the king
That kinda tracks, they would’ve wanted us to “prove” ourselves capable of helping and then once we did they unsealed one single entrance
Do we know that there were other higher ranking members of the kingdom? Heck, if we go by the thought that the king was the Eden elder, it’d be kind of weird to imply that they had authority in any way except watching over the Eden realm and its reactor (economic power, perhaps would be the closest analogy)
True, my theory is pure speculation and lacks substantial evidence to back it up
But i imagine that the kingdom might had other high ranking members
Running Wayfarer card!
HELP I JUST NOTICED THE EGG EMOTE OF THE REACTS 😭
Who’s Person01?? A TGC dev? If so, this reveals an interesting revelation about the story of Sky
BAHAHAHA tbh i don't know?😂
:Source?
Why would I know?!
Hey do we know what this thing is? Found on the path up to eden
that's a statue on top of the Vault
Huh cool, thank you! Much fancier than the other temples
It’s reminiscent of the Season of Belonging family (
)
Makes me think Belonging must have had a significant influence in vault, or it was just a symbol that Belonging appropriated
the symbol is also on the coliseum podium
More likely the latter — there is various diamond symbolism around the world and the Belonging family is infamous for stealing
There’s a thought that the basic < 🔹> symbol represents connection or togetherness
I love belonging so much nobody expects them to be thieves but they are
🦇 Wait what
🦇 THEY'RE THIEVES???
I don’t think so?
They do have strong “everything is everyone’s” vibes
Sparkler Parent sneaks throughout the Valley catacombs and filches some fireworks. Wise Grandparent is lurking in the forbidden archives. Hairtousle Teen just takes a lute they stumble across in the Forest caverns.
Real fact [/j]: Sparkler parent used the dreams skater’s performance as a distraction to steal from Sunset’s temple
I mean, the archives have the Belonging symbol in them
No they don’t
Belonging Family Phantom Thieves
Phantom Thieves x Family
Ok lorechat, thoughts on the wayfarer post?
It made me very sad but also very happy
So it's memories you offer to AURORA, mmmm interesting
Wasn’t expecting any sort of character cards this season so was pleasantly surprised
It does help support the spirits migrating to their current location idea which I think is super interesting! Along with the implication they might have been fleeing something
According to the Genius entry Runaway has escapism themes so
Obviously for a song called Runaway
Also be wary of Genius annotations cos they’re user-submitted and seldom official interpretations by the song artist
I checked this article
Some parts do have official statements from AURORA
They did interviews I think
Btw you don’t have to ping me, especially if we’re the only two in the channel
Ack sorry default settings
Another foundation perhaps for the Nomadic culture of Isle theory?
yes! but also, since you can see the wayfarer & their parent arrive on a boat to the coast, & the ‘place to mend’ line kinda makes it sound like they’re refugees
which is really interesting because it implies they’re from somewhere that’s not the kingdom
The Belonging symbol is everywhere, it's not exclusive to the family itself, it's to the theme of togetherness
it's really funny to me that the prince just also steals that in his quests.... magic item Stealable Instrument
Spirit leaving their treasured lute in the caverns one day, completely oblivious to what will happen to it
"How does it feel like to get YOUR goods stolen for once, ya edgy bruh?"
conveniently, nobody who wants a cursed item has to hold onto it for very long
i feel like there are other continents other than the sky kingdom, but since this kingdom is humongous thats what the game focuses on
there are refugees from other realms sure (like this emote:
) but since isle is a port for people to sail into its very likely there are other continents
this is so damn adorable
Are the seasonal events even celebrating the same Holidays as their real life counterparts?
Is Days of Mischief celebrating the same thing as Halloween?
How much does Feast really have in common with Christmas
I really have to wonder what the lore behind such events even is, if there is any
i feel they’re both similar to their real life counterparts, with differences to link into the lore of sky
Given the Sky map art we see in the game, it could also be a port for stuff like the Treasure Reef
has it been discussed if wasteland elder had a different name? i feel like before their realm became a wasteland they were called something else, all i know it would be related to a place since all the other elders names are related to places. i tried looking for something that would fit but cant think if anything that works well
wait because of treasure reef thus implying wasteland has a border in the ocean maybe coastland?? that sounds kinda natural to me
Their concept name was Tsadi, but they’re sometimes called Dusk (I think) due to the wasteland representing dusk
There’s no canon name for them other than Wasteland Elder
i know but i mean their title as an elder hypothetically, like i think they were known as "Elder of the ___" before it became wasteland, like a wasteland was something else, just thinking of possibility's of what it could be.
I dont think Wasteland elder saw wasteland and was like "i will build a civilization here where the water is undrinkable and dangerous monsters roam free", it had to be known as something before all the pollution took over, coastland or a coastline seems feasible to me imo but there's always grassland and ect, just wondering if others had different ideas
Seeing as it’s now called golden wasteland it was probably golden something
Golden sands perhaps, I can see it being a desert. With how mountainous valley is and forest being Like That, maybe wasteland was in the rain shadow
But There’s a coast so might’ve been tropical idk
Unless that coast wasn’t always there
i know the official sky account on twitter called golden wasteland as golden valley when discussing on making each realm, but that would imply gw elder is also known as the valley elder (unless they and twins joint ruled). i feel like it would take a very long time for a coast to appear out of nowhere too
I was thinking more along the lines of rising sea levels causing the sea to flood a low area
ah true, treasure reef is flooded so sea levels rose alot
and now that i think about it grassland wouldn't fit because that's another word for prairie apparently
If the coastline was always there then it can be called the Golden Coast
Edited because I thought message got beaned
Lorechat discussed it here in the past
Joint ownership is a high posssibility as valley and wasteland also seems to be one area during the times the ancestors were alive
Proof being architectural designs of the areas are somewhat similar and at home theres a merged path that split into two going towards valley and wasteland portal respectively. Also the fact that the twitter account mentioned Golden Valley as you have said
One piece of ingame detail one theorist presented was that in structures (proof they got was a structure in the first area of wasteland) theres a symbol of three diamonds arranged in a pyramid/triangle formation and proposed that this may be the symbol of joint governance between Dusk and Sunset (with diamond on top being a symbol for Dusk and the two bottom diamonds being a symbol for Sunset)
In tomcepts there is concept art depicting architectural designs between upper and lower class citizens of the valley.. and it somehow matches the design of both areas with upper class being situated in Valley of Triumph and lower class being in Golden Wasteland
Sorry for ping and text wall XD
Also another note id like to make.. i think at this point everywhere in sky was lush and not barren like isle and wasteland post eden explosion
Maybe due to the elements from the trials? Alchemy? Light? A natural trait of the area? Idk but everywhere seems to be lush
Ig we just have to find out as more ingame lore is added or the animation is released
i love thinking about society in sky
same
it might be the worldbuilding lover part of me
laidback pioneer is actually a skilled warrior, probably a samurai, who hides their spear/naginata as an umbrella. this explains the mask with the scar and hair kinda short, not like the bun samurais have but close enough. AND YOU CAN’T TELL ME LAIDBACK ISN’T COOL
I actually will be honest, I have the idea of like realm based weapons they can act as props but you need to finish the whole constellation to see it
For the Isle of Dawn is a staff
Costing: About 4000 Ascended Candles
Daylight Prairie is also a staff
Costing" same amount 4000
Hidden Forest is like a torch staff based
Costing" 5000
Valley of Triumph is 6000
Golden Wasteland is 7000
V.O.K(short form for Vault of Knowledge) 7000
And Eden is 8000
Also all uses AC
Sounds believable, I'm in
Welcome to the Laidback Supreme Warrior Martial Arts Foundation
But I think the cost of needing Ascended Candles for all of them are how much uhm someone calculate
Oh and btw edit on the theory the reason that laidback was late last time was because it was busy defending the realm of sky from… something…
Anyways more proof that laidback is the supreme warrior
Sounds amazing
Bobbit observation : skykid body glows blue once krillcat spell is cancelled
at about 20 ac a week, from eden and shards, it would take 4 years to get the cheapest one
this is rather unreasonable, wouldnt you say?
I can see..well what you suggest?
depends on the functionality of it
Hm
Hmm if the propss do not have a use then the price should be relatively cheaper than that of each respective elder mask. If they are given a use of some sort they should be relatively similar in pricing to the masks give or take a few ac depending on the usefulness of the prop as compared to the power of an elder mask.
I don't think any of them should be in the thousands at all as obtaining the props, I assume, would require unlocking the elders hair and possibly mask as well. So you'll have to consider the amount of time it would take just to complete 1 constellations elder hair mask and prop and see how reasonable it is.(this is probably why we haven't seen much other elder cosmetics in game, it's a lot to consider given elder cosmetics are rewards for completing a major milestone so they have to have some use and thus need to be more challenging to obtain.
yeah
I have been confused about the blue and yellow spirts whats the difference between them?
Yellow or gold spirits have been ascended (by using ascended candles) while blue ones have not
Blue is ones you havent touched or ascended yet while gold ones have ascended I think
Do you think like as a sky kid themselves they can choose to go home or stay in the ascended part of eden?
Since they willingly go to eden to perish does that mean they can choose to stay up there rather than come back?
I like to think abt it when it comes to ppl who stop playing the game
There are certainly some people who think skykids can choose to stay or go
As for ancestors there are also people who believe they can go up and down on their own but I choose to believe Megabird has a permit they need to fill out because it's funnier
fruitzie where is the form
I have to dm the link to you lmao
Oh yeah i remember this XD
Hi people, I come to Sky after like, a year
Since when did this exist?
It's a very recent feature! I believe it came on or right before the Season of AURORA update.
I see. I'll just check everything, it seems to have a bit of lore. Thanks!
For starters, the migration--very obvious from cutscene, but I think given it's DP, it makes complete sense from a lore standpoint as well. Once IoD turned to a sort of desert, DP was the next best place, prolly.
DP? IoD?
It’s ok for the ping, i really like this! I remember noticing the same architecture when I was looking for evidence for another theory I was making. Maybe valley was the biggest out of all the realms
Is aurora megabird or is she some sort of guide for us to go thru rebirth
Not sure, the season hasn't given us much to work with for now. Her voice appears at the start of the game and when you're reborn, so she must have some connection to Orbit and Megabird, but I don't exactly know what that specific connection is
On an unrelated note, I'm actually listening to her sing right now, it's very relaxing and helped me finish off an entire chapter
Listen to heathens one right now 🤣 it’s so hype
Sky has introduced me to Aurora's music and I absolutely love it
I found her a bit before sky's season thanks to Runaway, but I'd become entranced with her other music too. I'm glad that others are discovering her and her music because of this funky little moth game
Is this darkstone? What did it power?
I think I can shed some light on that.
Look at the seasonal symbol
Personally, I think it looks like orbit. The birds and mantas all flying to the gate of rebirth.
Also, does anyone remember that concert teaser with those golden wings? Those wings look like the seasonal symbol too.
i think it might've been a part of the mining mechanism that was powered by light creatures. or it was used as a "lighthouse" light since it's large and outside
This pole probably guided the minecarts like how they guide the gondolas in the village of dreams.
Also for some reason, when I approach this spot, I hear the sound of a mural, but I see no mural.
Maybe a bug? It's been bothering me for quite a while because I don't know what the mural looks like.
Also what are these orange stones? Lights for when the place wasn't underwater? A weird form of darkstone? Or are they just decoration and I'm going crazy?
Also do we have any information on this eel creature? Why does it have the spirit texture? Is it a spirit of some sort too?
I think I killed lorechat with all of my questions
they got question overloaded 😭
Lorechat is deader than the spirits rn
[Sorry for not much elaboration, kinda all over the place but I’m doing my best]
Off the top of my head, the diamonds are probably inset gold paint decorations, since they’re flat. They could have had darkstone in them at one point and the crystals themselves have been scavenged from the sockets like what we’re doing, but I’d guess they’re just painted to look like that, because I don’t know anything that darkstone in that area would help with.
As for the eel — I personally believe they’re spirits, yeah! I think we see more spirit fish in the final abyss quest, but since it’s not replayable, I couldn’t tell you for sure 😔 there is also a spirit manta when you first enter the reef that grants you diving powers
I feel like there was a mural there, I think it was the laboratory one, but nnhhhh I’m too tired to check and be sure
Dude I remember insisting this was a spirit manta so much during abyss, and people kept telling me that the cosmic mantas were spirit mantas actually, and then we saw spirit mantas during shattering after we freed them from shards and I felt so validated
Also the idea that it was like. The oceans spirit or something, I felt bad for trying to disprove that one because it was really cool but
I am very sorry for killing chat. Guess I had a lot of questions.
Us being dead for short stretches of time is normal, this chat is a lot less active than the others. I’m grateful for it as they overwhelm me, but it can be weird to get used to

It was the hallway after the second krill that spins in a small room.
May somebody refresh my mind and refresh me with the main story of Sky?
hahahaha crying
Moth goes to beeg mountain to die to funky float rock in the vague shape of a 3 dimensional rhombus
The old civilization, along with the ancestor spirits we have to save, died long ago after a series of disasters leading up to the Eden Diamond exploding (like in shattering q6). we fall to save them from petrification & wake up the elders :3
A very basic overview
there's so mcuh, there's so much
There are three types of people
i cackled out loud
Glad to hear! I love making "no thoughts, head empty" summaries like those
If you want to get much more complex than what I mentioned, you’d either have to ask about a specific topic, go into theory territory, or both
there's just so much to Sky lore that every time someone comes in asking for the story of Sky, I weep
It's an entire, fleshed-out world (as it should be) that has areas that are still vague and areas where it's less vague. There is practically 1% certainty on sky lore at this rate. Hell, even Megabird's existence gets put into question at times 😭
I should work on a tl;dr to copy+paste whenever this question is asked
Honestly
I don’t really see it as a negative, (saying that because it sometimes sounds like most ppl do) but it can be kind of hard to tell sometimes where the boundary between actual story and headcanon is
I have a certain draw to media that I specifically can't understand in an attempt to try understand it. I adore games that don't spell out the full story to you, songs that use a slew of metaphors that seemingly don't go together, and so much more.
At the same time, too much vagueness can kill something for me. If I can't grasp at all what the game's theme is, or if the song conjures no interesting imagery, then I'll eventually just leave it. Sky's just about bordering this sense of boredom with its lore for me, I'd like to see a bit more confirmation on some things at the very least
if possible, can someone explain to me what Eden is or how it came to be such a disaster?
presumably Eden used to be a sacred site during the time of the ancestors due to an apparent connection with the Light, where light creatures and possibly ancestor spirits would ascend therefore continuing the light cycle. this strong connection to the Light may have been utilized to power the big Eden diamond. unfortunately said Eden diamond corrupted somehow, spewing darkness instead of light, and generating the Storm that further spread darkness throughout the world and turned Eden into the hellscape it is today.
yet this connection to the Light remains today since even petrified skykids can ascend there and light creatures still traverse the world toward Eden.
Thank you very much
no worries! if you have any more questions fill free to ask :3
Wait, so that means, Ancestors are going to Eden after we save them?
The elders ascend them from their temples, according to the intro text! Hence why we take them there.
Ok then.
So at Eden, we try to save petrified spirits, but we kinda fail, leading us to also petrify and die, only to reborn
We’re saving petrified skykids at Eden, not spirits! Easy to confuse thouh :3
Mhm
And to end my questions, what's the meaning of the black and white skykid? Ying Yang? Good and evil?
And if those skykids make us reborn
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Eh, the ending was beautiful, I have to say
(Bout to get metaphorical)
I mean to me they do become whole when we begin to ascend, they’re opposite but they coexist, like light and darkness, and there can’t be darkness in light and there can’t be light with darkness, they balance each other out. If those two kids didn’t come into contact both would be stuck in that void forever. Like if we didn’t get rid of the shards the whole kingdom would be riddled with them, but since skykids help burn and keep the darkness at bay there’s a fragile balance to it
Idk if this makes sense I just woke up
And darkness was a vital role in sky, the dark stone era advanced sky’s civilization tremendously, but they used darkstone so much that it ending up possibly destroying whatever balance they had
What's darkstone?
You know those things you light up to open doors, gondolas in village of dreams ect, even mello musicians gutair had a small diamond and possibly the eden diamond, that’s darkstone, it needs light to power up but it was definitely used to help advance technology in sky
while the name isn’t used in sky, a lot of us call it that since that seems to be the few concept art ideas that carried over to the actual game, and the name given for it was dark-stone which shows the same concept used ingame
And treasure reef heavily implies with the murals scattered around that it was a dark-stone factory, and mantas give light so they were definitely farmed for their light. But they obviously overproduced it and destroyed the any balance I mentioned before it was to late to fix it
right here yep
quick, lorechat, pick any 4 spirits and how well they would do in mario party
https://docs.google.com/document/d/12XSkaMV_5UYG-an_Qo37ItyKP6GaqBBA6iRqBVE2qck/edit I tried to make it as short as possible
Disclaimer: despite my recent meme about "Bad Muralist, Bad" #sky-memes message
I don't actually think there is any evil in the Red Orbs used by the Nodding Muralist.
One of the interpretation of the red light is that, since it's found in dark places, it is an element/embodiment of Darkness.
What I actually think is that, since it is found in "tragic" places (like shipwreck and the Enchantment water cave), it could be more tied to places with a deep story. So I think it's more like an embodiment pathos, passion, and a moving story. After all a good stories have a certain emotional weight, and even the Muralist uses the red Light for a storytelling purpose.
Could be tied to emotion or memories. What are the other lights associated with again?
Anyway witht he red light another reason why people think its darkness is because red is associated with krills when the spot you as well as Eden. But if that holds up than cyan light has similar meaning due to the Colour of most darkstones, dark plants and krill that haven't detected anything.oooooo I've got a theory brewing now I'll have to write it down coz it's gonna get complicated (I have one theory that I'm always finding things to add on to so...)
Also my theory relies on red light being tied to emotion
What do the other lights presumably represent?
They seem to be elemental in some way as dark blue is associated with water, green with plants etc but some are quite vague
Cyan: wind(this one opens the sky in forgotten ark as well as starts moving the oars)
Green: plants(creates the grass in forgotten ark)
Orange:warmth, fire(the lamps light up and butterflies appear, spirits also leave)
Blue: water(purifies the water in forgotten ark)
Red:(the one we’re investigating) emotion, darkness or Hope?(creates the murals on the boat, or at least lights them up)
Purple:magic, secrets, memory?(creates the tents in ark)
The problem is purple light is vague and red light is supposedly darkness yet makes the murals glow which is the opposite of darkness.
Secrets are often “kept in the dark” and in darkness you will always find the light so maybe it’s the other way around?
unless it has a counterpart like light darkness is strange to place as an element. Also darkness is the absence of light so theoretically could never be represented as light as darkness would almost be merged into the element of light because without light there cannot be darkness and without darkness there cannot be light
Given the other lights control elements, I’ve taken it that red light can manipulate darkness. Likely the murals were always on the Ark, not spontaneously created then and there, but with the darkness of the Wasteland the light in the paint waned. So Nodding Muralist used red light to unveil what darkness had taken, their murals, restoring the light to the paint
So are you saying that the element of darkness is the element of light?
No, I’m saying the element of darkness is the element of darkness
Darkness is simply the absence of light.
If you control where darkness is than you are technically controlling light
Irl darkness is the absence of light, yes, but in Sky darkness is a tangible force as much as light is a tangible force. They interact, have material forms, affect one another
If you move darkness in your pushing light away hence why the purple element isn’t light. Because darkness is light. Earth is opposite to wind. Water is opposite to fire except all of those can exist without the others unlike darkness and light which need t exist in orders for the other to exist. Hence we are left with the element of light and the element of magic or whatever purple is because magic could theoretically exist without light and light can definitely exist without magic
You can visibly see darkness swirling around, petrifying spirits and skykids, flakes of darkness shedding off krill and crabs as much as you can find orbs of light floating around, interact with light creatures, use flames to melt darkness plants
You’re assuming that there has to be elemental opposites when these six lights could merely be associated with six individual elements.
Well even if you take out the opposites my point still stands
They are opposites because they have opposing properties unlike light and dark which are opposites because one is the direct absence of the other
Either way water can exist without wind earth or fire, fire can exist without earth wind or water, earth can exist without fire water and wind, wind can exist without water earth and fire, all of them can exist with and without light. However darkness cannot exist with light
I’m saying that these elements are individual entities, their existence is not rooted in opposites. Where do we see green light opposing cyan light? Where do we see blue light opposing orange light? Nowhere, they are merely enitiies in it of themselves. This isn’t Avatar.
Likewise darkness and light are individual entities of themselves in Sky. You can have darkness without light and light without darkness in this world because they have material manifestations not dependent on the existence of the other.
All of the material manifestations of darkness have some light within them. Light is the form in which all memory, life and emotion takes within the world of sky hence every living thing somewhat emits light. When a living thing dies their life, memories and life leaves them and all that is left is a husk devoid of light, however this husk is what is known as dark stone and traps some of the light which we can see through reliving a memory. All dark creatures in sky are just light creatures that are evil and with less light than other creatures, always searching for light in an effort to survive. This does get into theory territory but all of it is heavily implied within the game
Some creatures leave other physical pieces behind that aren’t dark stone such as bone in some instances. Also some pure light creatures are completely drain and leave nothing behind(dark stone is the lingering memory of light left behind when a being dies, thus if all the light leaves for the stars then dark stone is not left behind)
I’m getting off topic again lol
darkstone isn't the corpses of light creatures though? it's a mineral that can be found within the geology of the sky kingdom. that would exist with or without the presence of light. as Alasdair said, darkness in sky is a physical tangible thing, not just the state of being without light
Fossils,
the spirits themselves have a husk we light at the end of their memory that coincides with the same features of dull dark stone that glows like dark stone does when lit. Dark plants are also found in some bones. Again I started going off topic because I have a lot of ideas regarding the topic of light and darkness and they way it was used by the Ancestors.
Crab Whisperer
LOL
I’m saying that darkness (krill crabs plants and dark stone) is when light doesn’t fully leave it’s physical form and the leftovers seek out light in order to rebuild itself
Dark stone has less light in it than krill, crabs and plants hence its solid unmoving form but it will still take in light and because of its unfavourable shape in terms of living organisms will not be given life when given light( I think krills craps etc seek light but don’t actually have the ability to hold it within them due to their original forms becoming distorted hence why the seek out light but end up ejecting it anyway or being repelled/burned by it, perhaps because it’s not their original light)
sorry for the late reply but tysm!
If you consider darkstone to be internally reflective it could have a lot of light while still appearing dark (personally I do consider it to be that way as I think that’d be the most effective way to store “light”)
they are called Tsadi but i just refer to them as the elder because i dunno how to read it
Hey is the iss considered canon?
no
Oof, it’s the only space-access place in the game that lets us return to the “ground” (a shallow ocean). Out in space you’ve got free light that just recharges your cape, but when you enter the atmosphere, that disappears, implying that something on planet (maybe the clouds or WL kids) is feeding on that energy.
The wind pushing you up might be the thing that keeps the megabird off planet (and forces us to ascend instead of just having the hive on-planet). There’s also the idea that it could’ve been the precursor to the crystal with the downward-facing cannon.
Really wish it was canon
I’ve never thought about this 👀
My personal idea (I stole it from my friends…) is that elder of the wasteland is just what we called them, ancestors called them Dusk, & elders used the Hebrew names between each other. But if their only canon name is the one we see in game, I can totally see it changing…
It depends on what you think wasteland was called pre disaster. I know it was part of golden valley & I think it would’ve just been called that, but there’s already an elder of the valley…
The Other Elder of the Valley
Dusk already has such middle child energy don’t make it worse
I Forgot Their Birthday Elder
Their realm’s splash text is literally just saying the next realm is after theirs 💔💔
They purposefully made their realm look like that so they could have a cool name
I was going to suggest a name but, weh can't think of one
I feel like Wasteland is kinda supposed to be a mirror of Prairie if it got really badly messed up (in terms of climate, environment, etc — like wasteland was also a prairie) so headcanon that before everuthing started going wrong everyone kept confusing them with Day
Dude imagine getting your name stolen by your younger sibling I’d be mad too
Elder of the Gold... en Valley, of the Lowlands, of the Under... tale... Elder of the
LOWLANDS IS GOOD ACTUALLY but it still kinda feels like an insult if you spin it the wrong way
although… that might fit
Yep
elder(s?) of the Gilded Peaks
elder of the Golden Valley
idk
I call pre-wasteland Wasteland "the lower valleys" in fic which in hindsight is just oof
CONFUSING THEM WITH DAY AGAIN 💔
elder of the marshlands/wetlands??.??:?: but that goes off the assumption of that being wastelands geography GNDBDBD
no wonder Dusk needs the most therapy out of the Elders
that's not the emote I thought it was . oops
this just gets worse the longer you think about it, I’m losing it
Marshlands sounds like marshmellows, awesome
tsadi fell into a wet cardboard box all alone 💔
FACT ^
That's established
it could also be elder of the desert tbf but it probably wasn’t always sandy there
their realm is the wet cardboard box now 💔
why is r5 prairie and r3 valley this is so very incorrect
valley SWEEP
[coincidentally, a valley sweep is also the reason dusk is like that]
r4 is forest too. are any of the constellation emojis numbered right
what if the ancestors knew the Elders not by their realm like skykids do but rather what the Elders presided over? so with the idea that Prairie used to an agricultural hub, maybe Day was known as Elder of the Farmers. I think Dusk presided over larger light creatures like whales, so they could've been known an Elder of the Shepherds.
The numbering is in reverse
you could technically use a prairie synonym or adjacent realm like: grasslands, plains, savannah, but somehow this just makes the confusion with day worse
This gets worse cause I can totally see elder of the shepherds being dawns title instead
Or from right to left, like in Hebrew
so they're all numbered right just not the direction I'm used to them being
Hebrew & Arabic are written from right to left which is why they might break some unsupported websites
I was gonna make a joke abt Dusk having to share their realm with their younger sibling, like sharing bedrooms, but then I remembered about golden valley… oh no
This really does get worse and worse the longer you think about it huh
I think Dawn would be more like Elder of the Pilgrims or Travellers given their whole migrant and ferryman epithet
thinking about how I had a fun title for day but not dusk.... it just gets worse and worse
Dusk: I want a cool elder title, maybe elder of the grasslands?
Prairie: I think people may get confused—
Dusk: Well I shepherd whales and-
Isle: Well I shepherd creatures as well;
Dusk:
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS ENVISIONING IM IN TEARS
this is why the war happened btw
tsadi heading into the vault after this meeting
fun Sky fact: fainting warrior is well hidden to mirror the fact that Dusk is often overlooked and forgotten by the other elders, just like moths do to their spirit memory
They even have a name that doesn’t describe them at all, to hammer it in even further!
"Fainting" Warrior
THIS IS SO SAD IM
IM LAUGHING BUT ALSO I FEEL REALLY BAD
IT SOMEHOW GETS WORSE WITH EVERY NEW REALIZATION
Dusk: Hey how does The Elder of War sound
Vault:
to be fair I would also be mad
Dusk: Elder of Fortress?
Sunset: mate, what do you think our citadel is for?
I’m losing it
Does Elder of Ruin or Elder of Sand work
Nvm Dawn fits "Elder of Sand" /j
We’re talking specifically about their name pre-wasteland being a wasteland, so neither work
Dusk: We’ll we get a lot of intense weather being under the clouds- maybe elder of st-
The Chosen One appearing suddenly:
Ah ok, thanks for the clarification
HELP THIS IS CANON NOW
dusk elder gets Mike wazowski'd
they institute the time of day names after this to make dusk feel better but they have to pick a time of day randomly cause no one remembers when they fell
fun fact: dusk and sunset are synonyms
Something has been making me question for a bit
If Golden Wasteland was meant to be a diamond factory, why did it need weapons (like spears, sheilds, turrets) were nessesary when Forest didn't really need it?
its so funny bc valley is (early) adulthood while wasteland is midlife crisis, doesnt even get a specific good timeframe just AGONY BAD TIMEFRAME megabirds and tgcs LEAST FAVOURITE CHILD
You thought Isle was the most forgotten realm?? Think again
the midlife crisis refers to dusk not having a proper elder name
the implication that their younger sibling stole theirs is killing me
I don't think it was necessarily that the power diamond factories had to be protected but rather something else in Wasteland that had to be protected. some speculate the Vault, some say Eden, I think it was both
I'm trying to think of a name for tsadi and I just can't this is the worst
maybe elder of the coastlands? cause the sea is right there
elder of the beach episode
but isn't isle also surrounded by sea
prob wasn't always – see Switch release trailer
I vote it always was against the sea cause of the boat in wayfarers memory, it just wasn’t always sandy
So yes, isle is on the coast too
I’m split between wanting to use this whole realization for mental character development for Dusk but also feeling bad because haven’t they gotten microwaved enough
they're still intact. they can go further
They’re barely intact, their statue has a massive crack down the middle
barely doesn't mean they aren't
sorry what is happening to me why am I evil darkness skull
it’s the wasteland effect
I need to blorbify them so bad it won't fix anything at all but I still need to do it
yes I was thinking something similar of what their actual name would be! plus treasure reef is out in the ocean
recently realized that dusks cutscene theme is called two heroes (I previously mixed it up with the first area of wasteland’s theme which is called before a fall) and for a bit I was like? two of them? who’s the other hero?
then I realized it was us
they also consider us a hero
idk I just wanted to share
Now I’m sad at this
Considering they were stuck in a limbo with no other person for god knows how long I can see why they see us as a hero
And about the name thing, Golden Coastland(s) has a nice ring to it, maybe golden valley is a sub area up until the broken temple?
And I’m honestly surprised the other elders seem relatively “ok” for being stuck in limbo a good few hundred or maybe thousand years of solitude, like either their old enough where they’re used to time stretches like that or time moved differently in the pocket demisions. Or they did and just went through the five stages of grief a few times over if that makes sense, like the twins have each-other but the other elders have like nobody
yea i saw it on spotify and i was like wait whos the other one
then it made sense that we were the hero
after the darkness took over everything a lot of time passed so maybe theyre just used to it
are you saying theyre in limbo because they couldnt go to orbit?
I honestly prefer the idea they were unconscious for most of the time, especially with the intro text about waking up the elders
i would assume lighting their candles initially gave them enough light to wake up (I actually have a really complex internal idea on how this works but I’m trying to stick to ingame stuff)
so like coma
yeah!
Yeah that’s definitely a more merciful fate, I feel like being conscious for that long would just not be healthy
i just feel so bad for them because theyre immortal
i would not tolerate being tormented by grief for eternity hell no
Somwhat? To me when we complete their constellation maybe they have enough power to ascend to orbit?
light power would have made that possible
our light
if you look at how we give light and cosmetics we have a heart shaped glow on the candle, indicating friendliness/love
so we're basically giving the elders our love AWWW MAN THAT SOUNDED HU2IFD
YEAH😭😭😭
if my skykid loves them i love them
even mean forest elder
Skykid loves elder and I love skykid
So vicariously I love elder /j
Based on quest completion and all, our skykid considers all the spirits their friends as well :3
i wonder if the elders thought of themselves as friends before
With our skykids?
amongst each other
they seem overall kind of tense so i feel like they all have damaged relationships
I imagine they consider each other as siblings :3
Ohh to me they’re found family, but I think when they see eachother in vault they slowly mend their relationships with one another, I feel during the kingdoms collapse things got tense between them
i just know that forest and vault elders are biologically (is that the right word...) related, dunno about the others
valley are twins so definitely siblings
Oo that’s cool!
wait i dont think its biological i just know theyre related somehow
Like in my hc all the other elders sees the twins as their kids because they’re the youngest
, excpet dawn i see them treating the other elders as their kids, even with dusk I still see them remarking how much they’ve grown
I think whatever issues they had during the kingdom's reign they put on the backburner in order to deal with the new issue of being trapped in pocket dimensions, all the ancestors dead, and skykids running about. it's a new era, new problems to fret over.
of course, simply putting those issues aside to work together doesn't resolve the emotional damage they caused each other, but cooperating could've mended those grudges and hurt feelings.
the elders just seem like my irl friends
theres the one giving sound elderly advice, the sleepyhead, the constantly angry one, a couple obnoxious ones, the super tall one, and the other sleepy one
except i dont see them as being very friendly to each other
maybe amicable but they seem kind of uh... stiff?
Ah true, the sky-kids are a whole different era, plus maybe they could only see another for a short while in vaults cutscene because they’re summoned back to their temples when more sky-kids come along. So now that I think about with little time they had together is brief
the elders are so incredibly human for being 3d humanoid game objects
Fair enough, honestly until we see more cutscenes of content of them,(if ever) we don’t know if their relationships were more like colleges, friends, or even familial
speaking of elders, how do you think vault got all those scratches
you might be referencing a quip from an early dev Q&A livestream and one question asked why Rain and Night's masks were similar. I don't remember the exact quote, but the response is that those two were "related" or had some connection. now that's been taken to mean biologically related, romantically involved (shippers amiright), or colleagues.
the first and second would really depend on your interpretation of how Elders came about, the latter however I think makes the most sense considering Rain seems to have had something to deal with power diamond & darkstone technology's creation while the Vault is very power diamond reliant
I saw someone ones draw those pointy things we light up in vault fell on them
but it could depend, I don’t think it was a krill because they would show a lot more damagethen
very useful info thank you
considering nights whole theme of discovery and rains whole theme of creating things I can see them workjojg together a lot even without dakessrone involved :3
from what ive been subjected to (cough careless GW behavior
) the krills do a swooping motion and literally lift your body off the ground and sends you flying and doing somersaults midair
it couldmake sense, but i think it was a disease
to me I do see rain being the main power diamond producer, more of a supplier than a buyer and user, but they use power diamonds is needed. The state of their realm would definitely reflect that
i like to imagine it was a completely ridicukous lab accident they are too embarrassed to talk about
real answer? probably shattering q6
Lab accident would work, but yeah maybe shattering if we remembered how their face was just completely gone
its truly sad those scratches wouldve been serious if they lasted for that long
it also kinda reminds me of the darkness plant mask but idk if there’s any connection there
it's been brought up that the damage on Night's mask is reminiscent of the damage on the dark plant mask from Season of Shattering. perhaps a hint that Night had darkness plants growing on them at some point?
I've been running with the idea that Night's mask was damaged by corrupted darkstone to the face, not from the Eden calamity depicted in Shattering quest 6 but rather a prototype of the Eden diamond they had to test what was or what could've been going wrong with the Eden diamond. that's how the Elders knew that they had to gather and do something about the corrupting Eden diamond.
so poor lamed got hit in the face with a dangerous diamond and the rest of them went unscathed 😭 i havent done shattering q6 but i could check yt for it
Oo yeah! That would definitely explain it, and that’s why we wear safety googles
masks aren’t enough
I don't think glass will save you from flying shards of corrupted darkstone in the face
vault elder is the reason why u need goggles
LAB SAFETY !
Fair enough
god this game just reminds me that politics is exhausting
the management of destructive power, depression, etc
Ohh and do you think the elders models in shattering q6 are cannon or just re used, like if their cannon then maybe the elders that got affected had some magic to mend their faces a little, maybe dawn being more vurnuble to darkstone/power diamond had more of a weakness to it. Idk I’m kinda reaching here
Like I saw someone say those models are re used but idk if it’s a fact
we have the ability to see flashbacks so i think we got a symbolized form of their turmoil
i dont personally think the elders actually got hurt in that quest
I think they’re canon! I don’t know why they couldn’t be reused and canon. I just think Dawn & Night were the closest and got hurt the most
OHH RIGHT DALETH GOT INJURED BADLY.
3/4 of the face was nonexistent 💀
all but Rain's seem reused and resized from the Eden OOB in Lights Awaits. I heard that during the first beta build of that frozen memory Rain was not present but was added later and their model looks the most in-tact, so I'd say Rain's was reconstructed
legit Puzzle pieces😭
what did teth look like in that quest wait nvm i didnt read light awaits
Oo are there any videos or photos of it, I’m kinda curious now
you could check youtube
give me a minute.
here: #lore-discussion-spoilers message
forgotten and added later? dusk behavior
jeez they looked petrified
as in literally stone
Perhaps, like the other petrified spirits, the bodies of the elders there are actually their petrified corpse? Just a little thought
I see that y'all are talking about elders so I want to mention something I find interesting about prophecy murals
In the first picture, One seems to be giving the prophecy lights to the ancestors, without there being any elders on sight (The elders also don't seem to appear in the previous mural either, hmm...)
In the second picture, arguably after One gave lights to the ancestors, we see for the first time in these murals the elders, and they're using the colored lights... Is there a chance that not only the power of the elders but the elders themselves come from the colored lights? Think of it like, the lights given to the ancestors gave them the power to manifest the elders, who are kinda like incarnations of the collective population of their kingdom and also the stars that fell
Maybe the stars weren't always there, and they didn't come into existence until ancestors manifested their elders and therefore their constellations
tbh this does beg the question of what exactly these lights did, are they derived from the Light? or are they something else?
note that the aurora spirits also seem to have the same lights,
but enchantment has 2 extra ones, red and purple
perhaps they're synthetic?
I like to believe they're all natural, and they manifest whenever either an individual or a group displays certain virtues (this is for prophecy lights specifically)
hmm i agree with that. i was referring to the red and purple lights, which arent part of the prophecy ones
Yeah the purple isn't exactly clear on what it does and when the spirits use the purple light it creates man-made structures. And the red one is just confusing because it's found in darkness but it doesn't correlate to darkness very well
And darkness is associated with artificiality in sky too. And the purple light is found in an artificial environment
i think purple is associated with memory, which seems to be a more darkness-aligned trait.
Yeah
The tip for the quest says something about hoarding secrets in regards to the purple light and secrets are kept in thedark
Why do the crabs keep hitting us after our light goes out? I thought our light was the reason we are targeted.
The famous mural bug which made Lorechat go bananas for the King Overthrown Theory (around before and the first weeks of SoProphecy).
Needless to say the original mural in Jellyfish Cave was corrected (and oddly resemble the face of who wished that theory to be true 😭
)
Maybe this is more a Lorechat inside joke than a #sky-memes material
That is a good observation. How does the power of the 4 Elements ties with the Elders..?
But I think the Elders were there even before the Prophecy of the Trials was fullfilled. There is a taller person with the horns/boat mask on the first mural inside of Cave of Prophecies who points to the clouds/stairs of the Cave
More than synthetic I think they might be... More abstract than the usual 4 elements (fire water air and earth)
I think Purple is linked to the Archive not because it is secret and might be somehow "shady" or "dark", but because there is lot of ideas and concepts stored there. In my POV I think Purple is the embodiment of Mind and Imagination, with it manmade objects can appear.
Then there is Red Light, which could be a bit odd or counter intuitive to think of it as an embodiment of Darkness (since it's a light and that always seemed a bit paradoxal to me).
I rather believe that it is found in darkest places (Shipwreck and Enchantment Water Cave) cause those are two of the "darkest" place of two stories. There is lots of pathos and passion in a place where many lives were shocked by an unexpected twist. I realized this cause the Red Orbs is given to the Nodding Muralist themselves , which used in order to tell us, or rather reveal, Enchatment story (which was erased by time)
A story would be plain if it was just "we travelled from A to B" + "everything went as planed". A good story needs "a crash landing" + "the end of our water reserves" to be impactful. This kind of twists plant the roots in our attention as readers/spectators
Lore behind this rock?
Red could be Pathos like passion ❤️ , fear 💓
, anger
😡 and also embarrassment
, all good elements in the unraveling of a plot during the storytelling
And to end my point of the Red Light , if all others realms we could see a link to the 6 Orbs/Elements and to who they were bestowed (Fire/Orange to Wasteland, Air/Teal to Valley, Water/Blur to Forest, Earth/Green to Prairie and Mind/Purple to Vault)
So the only missing link could be Red. I think there could be two way of seeing why it is the most suitable Realm.
A) it is the most storytelling place, where we first met the introduction to the game with many murals and where we "hear" a voice calling to us.
B) to link with the red to darkness, controlling it and unravel it as Muralist cleared/revealed the mural, it's especially at Dawn that the darkness are dissipated to start a brand new day
eden?
Eden could also be, but if back then the power of red was bestowed upon a realm, I think there could be more uses as the Muralist displayed. Meanwhile the pathos, for now, in Eden is all on us, on our own story and peril to climb it.
I see no actual Ancestors use of red light there. All is gone wild there. And even if maybe there was an ambundance use of red power in Eden and this was one of the orb with the more potential (since it could also be disruptive) why does the Muralist only used it for revealing murals?
Ima pretend I understand whats going on rn
My bad if I wasn't clear 😅
Oh no worries sorry I just randomly dropped by and my brains to mushy to understand
Plus I think it also fits how, if you pictures the 7 Realms as a day cycle, after the Storm/Stormy Night there is always the clearing, and Dawn is the clearing.
It's sort of a way to see those two realms... tied together. Like you cannot se a rainbow without having passed through rain ||irl, of course... In game it's always there even far from rains xD||
Plus I need to point out if red was linked to just darkness, how could you explain that in game red is used also in not dark related things, like red candles around the world and our own red candle?
My answer is: 😁 ||pathos, pation, emotions ||
muralist was very passionate
Lore chat I just realized something about the aurora spirits
Their colors is like the elements in prophecy
Running wayfarer story has kind of water in her story
The fact mindful miner is a MINER base on their name then it connects with the earth element color
just reach out for The Light
If warrior of love has some kind of air thingy in her story quest then it connects to the elements but we shall wait and see
We still have winged light even if our flame is extinguished.
You train of thought is correct. At least with krills I spotted how you not get their attention even if under their blue spotlight in one occasion. If you already lost a winged light and in black mode you can either have two "stage", depending on your "diamond" (I mean the one that breajs when the WL is beyond saving).
If the diamond is empty they cannot see you, but if it self recharges (even if you dont regain enough light to return in light mode) you became an unlit sky kid ready to be spotted again.
I have never tried, but I think crabs don't act like krills in this case, thus two of them could headbut you even one after the other.
That's exactly what I hope for, to see the way all the 4 Elements fit inside SoAurora
Look at each corresponding color closely
dark blue - wateh
gren - earth
cyan - air
orange - fire
Season of prophecy the musical
Featuring Megabird as AURORA /hj
I’ve been poking around with an idea similar to this. notice that there’s two people in the cyan light boat,
I didn’t think of your idea and I 👀 at it, I’ll have to think about it a bit more but this sounds really interesting
I like to believe they came from the powers of the Prophets themselves. Their power to see into the future created red light, the power of concealment (remember that murals in the Prophecy Cave get slowly revealed) and Purple Light, the power of mind (somewhat self-explanatory)
https://docs.google.com/document/d/12XSkaMV_5UYG-an_Qo37ItyKP6GaqBBA6iRqBVE2qck/edit Maybe this can help you?
new theory just dropped: the Aurora spirits are the prophets’ vocaloid sonas
LMAO
i accept this one
Yeah I’ll accept that lol
prophet utauloids...
What does that make AURORA, the Eden King's vocaloid-? Wasn't the "Void of Shattering" as their fursona not enough????
Waiwaitwait, AURORA's Megabird's humansona, dodged a bullet on that one
all my krills, greeting me here as a friend
I'm home, waiting for time to let go...
Okay Skybot
Do sky kids grow mentally? They are basically immortal, after a few hundred years pass by, will they become little flying grannies?
Pretty sure the rebirth cycle stops skykids from growing both physically, but I'm not really too sure about mentally. I assume that after all rebirth, they'll still remember their past life/lives so... perhaps? Though I think personally that their mental capacity is capped off at teen years and/or young adult in human age
I don't really have an explanation as to why, I kinda just think that so it's a little headcanon
thats kind of sad though, imagine not being able to ever grow
Whos the one were hugging before ascending, is it the king whos „nowhere to be found“
i assumed its our body and soul reuniting but idk
Hmmm but both react like strangers
maybe just surprise that theyre separate
the body and soul become separate after death ig
Little gay people on me phone can ye provide some lore for this all saints day?
Most skykids to me wouldn't really have to grow. They live in a dead kingdom with only each other for company and that'd really stunt any emotional growth since there's nothing to grow from. Although saying that, most of my sky ocs act older because of the buttloads of trauma I've shoved onto them so-
What kind of greeting is this
A very true one
maybe im doing over anthropomorphism of the skids
damn this kingdom is really messed up
I mean skykids are able to grow with Growth spells
Physically yes, but not mentally
but are they really going from child to adult
probably not
You heard what I said, are ya' gonna give me lore or not? >:(
The spell states were turning into an adult
mentally?
Again, only physically. I suppose it's up to the player if they do grow mentally, but personally I don't really think so
me neither
Wdym mentally how should we know this
the game makes our skykid act in very childlike ways consistently
mimicking older people's actions (ancestors), putting trust in those ancestors (via completing those trees), making other friends their "age" (the entire game mechanic is social so you kind of have to at least mingle with one skykid)
They express themselves with these actions, we never saw an ancestor talking. They show us messages with movement. Theres only other skykids left now ofc were befriending them and i also think our skykids are pretty brave. Trespassing a realm full of hostile creatures (golden wasteland) and sacrifice ourself to save others (eye of eden)
ok
Also wasnt the king a skychild too?
who the hell knows
The murals in the prophecy cave
Yk im not trying to force you into believing what im saying
yeah i know
what makes you think that
felt like you kinda didnt care lol but i understand now cuz youre doing hw
Am I the only one imagine the king as a very buff walking winged light
We don’t know exactly
🎶
I don't think skykids can grow physically, but they could mature mentally due to their experiences rather than overtime as humans do. trauma can really accelerate emotional progress but that's not always a given since they're children and, of course, experiences vary. so you could have skykids that continue to act as young children when they're years old versus skykids who may be only months old acting as teenagers, all dependent on what they had gone through and their baseline mental constitution
A friend and I talked about the room on vault's second floor and I mentioned how the table is taller than the adults, so it probably was made for the elders, and also how there was only 6 chairs so King/Eden wasn't part of the reunions.
Also they probably got into an argument and one of the elders stood up fast so that's why one of the chairs is knocked down, maybe forest elder?
That room is too small to fit the Elders though, why a conference room would be so easily accessible?
I think they threw the chairs at each other like a pillow fight personally I think it’d be funny
I want to destroy that table
I know we use it as a comically large chat bench, but it could have had a different use
I really like stomping on it, I can hear really loud yelling from beneath me when I do
No way the Queen!
Relevant fic excerpt
Maybe only some people were allowed in vault of knowledge? The ancient spirits have a different attire then the ones from other realms, kinda like an uniform
Now that everyone is, well, dead, there's no one guarding the entrance to the vualt
but yeah on a serious note that table is really weird. It’s too large for spirits but not large enough for elders (unless you believe they can change their size which is fair). plus there’s only six seats meaning, at any given time, four of them would have to double up and share their seats with someone else
which is a really funny mental image but impractical in actuality
who do you think would be selected to share their seats and why
probably the twins if we're being real here, but i think it's funnier if dusk had to share with only one of the twins
I mean if the conversation we had last night held true, Dusk would totally be one of them
Hey, do you mind not flooding the chat with images on top of an already existing conversation? thank you
I think as of now we're still unsure? Although the most popular theories probably is
The prince is a skykid then got corrupted then turned into the king? So uhh- Corrupted skykid? Still a skykid??
The corruption part doesn’t have any evidence behind it, people just assume it’s canon for some reason
It’s not really a theory
whats sky kids Canonical weight
Tbh- True
I'm a resh believer (/hj) so that's actually one of the few hopes I still have that resh might not be actually evil (as there also wasn't any solid proof that he was evil)
That would be awesome tbh
Would he even have a spirit if he is a skid? 🤔
Oh wait nvm I forgot skids could become the spirit thingy at Pnr
and quick question, do we know how much sky kids weigh
Uhhh for me idk idk about the others though
we do not 😔 they’re probably a lot lighter than humans proportionally though, as they’re hollow! If that helps
I know someone did the math, but I can't remember
We do have math for their height but I’m kinda waffly on believing it’s accurate. I don’t think we have math for their weight, as it would be really hard to achieve and would rely on a lot of assumptions.
I guess I hallucinated it..
You might have just confused it with the height math, nbd
It’s entirely possible also that there could be weight math and I just don’t know about it, although I don’t really care to find out as it would probably be super inaccurate anyways
Agree, since I think there's still a debate aka we're still unsure what they were made of. Some believe skykids are made of wax while some believe they were made by clays or charcoal, and just by that the weights could already differ
Yeah! Also you’d have to assume things like thickness of the shell, its purity (aka if it’s made up of only one material or not) and it would be really hard to find the volume of such an irregular shape in general
also you’d have to either assume their inner light & candle don’t weigh anything or just make up a number for them
Hmmm our cape is made of light so I guess it doesnt got weight. Our mask looks like carved stone or something I guess its pretty heavy maybe like.... 5 Gramm!
but, we can fly...
loud dial up noises
By that concept, if skids do have light as their "blood" would it weight or nah
We tried to figure that out once, after a solid 3 days of math the results were inconclusive
Since our mask disappears when we’re extinguished, it’s entirely possible it’s just made of projected light, so saying it’s not would be yet another assumption … 😔
3 DAYS?! dang..
You ever Tried Holding a piece of light?
yeah, the results being inconclusive sounds about right. It just seems like a lot of not very accurate math for a relatively useless result tbh
Our cape doesn't got a shadow
Why is the cooldown so long ugh
We were trying to calculate the gravity, timing fall speeds and diving speeds to find air resistance but we couldn’t find anything and it seemingly varied across levels
That's my point 😭, I mean would that weight somehow or do we get just the weight of the "shell"
I could've sworn someone did the math with an umbrella????
Try again with the cat yeeting us
I feel like such a smooth brain person atm..
Me after every class of math
Where did the crabs and darkness plants come from
A discussion that I am proud to say that I sparked
Based on what they said they did with the air resistance, I think there's no change on how you fly with an umbrella-?
Like are the dark plants mold or something?
Not gravity the best we could do is velocity I think
I feel like the stupidest people in this server
I looked up mentions of weight in this channel and couldn’t find anything, if that helps
I guess the crabs are normal light creatures with a thick shell which got corrupted by darkness. The crabs we free at the graveyard seem friendly and show no signs of darkness
Correct me if I'm wrong
So basically the darkness is sort of like a mold and the krebs used to be light creatures before being corrupted by the mold and now they’re sort of brainwashed which is why they attack us?
I think the closest thing to an irl equivalent for darkness plants is mushrooms! Specifically their tendency to grow on decaying things (ie decaying light) and use their nutrients for them
Nah don't worry! Some of us has different variation of how deep we know from the lore! Some people here can even come just to ask questions without knowing any lore at all! ^^ we all begin from something

You mean feed on decaying things?
alrighty...thank y'all
And what about the krills?
Lmao imagine if the reason they're friendly is because they got exposed of the fire and destroyed the darkness that was covering them
Jk jk... Unless 👁️👁️
….I could see that actually
That’s actually a really good connection, I didn’t catch that before
Maybe they just tried to save the crabs and not cook them... (After piercing trough their body with a large stick)
Thay was supposed to be a joke but now I also see it 💀
Imagine if tgc adds a function that if you put a kreb to a fire they'll become friendly, if this were to happen then my joke theory of why the crabs in graveyard are friendly would be true hsjzhahah
Because in || the office, when you burn the darkness in the toilet, || a krill emerges from it
You don't need to spoiler things btw! Lore discussion spoilers /nm
oh right right my bad
I think we don't need to spoilertag stuff at all anymore
The power lore chat hold
Also as Six said, I think we don't have to spoiler tag Oreo, Office, and Pnr and orbit anymore
I wish we had pet banana in sky it would proof so much lore I made theories about
I- I'm actually curious lmao-
Yeah, it was announced in the news channel that since the game's been out for a while that we can stop spoilering stuff like Office, Eden, the Switch Area, etc.
Are there theories about the last rememberance ( elders getting yeeted)
what’s that?
Out if context but like- these pictures remind me so much of journey oml
I'll delete this message if its considered as flooding just tell me ^^
It's one of the memories we visited after clearing a red shard
Yep probably, the moment that memory dropped 🤔
wait so the elders were thrown somewhere? or am I misunderstanding it
I don't wanna spoiler it to you if you didn't visit that place yet
as Sah and
as Mekh)
