There is a lightseeker in the Vault (Shushing Light Scholar) as well as around the realms, so they could’ve spread out. It’s possible lightseekers moved on from Forest and raised other lightseekers.

Heal in a way, fire is the ultimate energy recovering ingame and I think fire overall may help the ancestors just not get tried easily and not die. Fire is mostly fine, but it still just kind of overflowing, existing and not stopping….

That depends if living ancestors had flesh-and-blood bodies or were lanternfolk like Vela’s idea or some variation thereof.

We do know that they had to eat (Anxious Angler, Belonging dinner), suggesting they had biological needs. We also know darkness plants could grow off their bodies (Rejecting Voyager) so they had light within them

Even if they were biological in some way, the light within them could give them magical properties superseding their material needs

I’m trying to think of any spirits we can see interacting with fire, but falling short

I know that if we still consider the turrets in golden wasteland still canon as turrets meant to harm people and defend, since they have orange light in them, that kinda makes fire have to be harmful. However, darkness plants growing off their bodies as mentioned above makes me wonder why fire would hurt instead of recharge them

While the game does not show the character in person per say, the lore in both the game, Light Awaits and in concept art imply that the entity is responsible for the rebirth of creatures in Sky. As it gathers up ascending souls and sends down new ones.
That is the running theory for it at least.

[Tlp does have lore but it’s not entirely vault specific, and I want stuff that’s like… based around the culture inside the actual building… like an indoor farm or something!]

Also for selfish reasons because if it’s in somewhere like isle then I’d have to wait a while for another isle season, the next one of which I am greatly looking forward to because of how long it’s been since prophecy
I could kinda see it in prairie but that’s more based around how long it’s been since a season whos entrance is in prairie was, not anything else. It could also be a whole kingdom or nonspecific thing like Shattering

that's mostly us being bad about using the literal file names externally. a byproduct of development is having to name a thing something to submit it and then the final decision of the player-facing name is drastically different. changing the file names can cause so many problems. i think prairie is one of the few realms where renaming was accomplished, and the effort was abandoned for the rest. i think one area is still labeled "day"

so why isn’t there darkness outside of wasteland besides hidden forest? my theory is that each elder had something they did to ward off darkness- the isle elder summoned birds, the prairie elder made butterflies (but slept a lot, causing some darkness to form) and then the valley elders used sport and leisure to keep darkness at bay. so why does forest have such a high concentration? my theory is that forest elder focused so heavily on cutting down trees and crafting things that they neglected their people, causing darkness to sprout and consume them, eventually leading to the acid rain and petrified trees

also- most of the forest emotes are negative emotions, adding to this theory. there’s anger, frustration, sadness/grief, freezing, and apologetic. the only good ones are hide and seek and the blushing one, both of which seem to come from younger spirits

i think that the forest spirits were overworked by the forest elder to the point of breaking, suffering through their lives and with morale (and light) low, darkness grew easier

with this realization i think we get a better glimpse into what each realm’s society was like

isle was a simple place that appeared to be an entry point for the kingdoms, with pointing emotes and the like. prairie was a happy, but hardworking community with emotes such as waving and laughing, along with yawning and sweating. valley is a land of excitement and thrill, with emotes like backflips and handstands along with cheering and a proud stance. wasteland is a warzone filled with fear, hence most of the memories revolving around fear. vault is quiet and scholarly, housing the oldest and most knowledgeable with abilities learned such as telekinesis and levitation.

Megabird is the so-called god of Sky, may or may not be analogous to the Light, a huge amalgamation of light and light beings in space, hardly seen in game aside from when descending from Orbit after the end credits (first image). the name Megabird comes from Tom Zhao's concept art (second image) who depicts Megabird as light itself.

Red light is associated with darkness. Given that water can be polluted with darkness, I don’t think blue light would be effective

The entirety of starlight desert and its relation to vault geographically is super confusing, because at the top of vault you exit right out onto the side of the Eden mountain, kinda near the top, pretty clearly implying that vault’s inside the mountain. But then when you get to starlight desert, Eden is visible in a completely different direction than the tunnel you enter from??

We can always say it’s due to purple light being Weird and maybe messing up perspectives but still, considering tlp travels to Eden from that direction, it’s really weird

Hmm. I've always seen it as Starlight Desert being like a pocket dimension of sorts contained within the lanterns. Each lantern is an area which is how they're sort of connected but also far apart from each other.

I think it’s moreso the lack of new information about the King. Most of us agree that the King existed, but what role they played has been contested.

The concept art and its blurb of text simply state both the human and the sky world exists. We do not experience the human world within the game and only experience the sky world but… we do see that many if not countless worlds are affected by the “Megabird” in the ending of each trip to orbit. We see millions of planets 🪐 🌎 being touched in the same way that rebirth and reincarnation happens to the sky world. So the “evidence” is only implied. The text says human world, I don’t think, to imply it is something that is in the game that we can see, but instead, just to imply even our world is affected by this phenomenon, not just the sky world.

I can understand difficultly when it comes to new or newly introduced older ideas.
To help you puzzle through the first panel ask yourself these questions: 1. Did i see the planets at the end of my trip to orbit? 2. Did I see a giant bird shape made of light? 3. Did I see that the light (from the sky world) that made up the bird shaped image in space were all of the life like mantas and birds and my characters soul and my friends holding hands ? If you said no to any of these I can definitely see how that first panel comes from left field. The first panel explains the developers initial intent to provide a back story and how this “Megabird” is apart of all of the light in the galaxy/universe. Our experience in the game that shows the “Megabird” and its connection to our soul, all of our souls even down to the smallest bird, is what aligns with that first panel’s statement.

Alright, so! I will try.

You can see some elder creatures throughout the game. These includes whales (), the elder manta in sanctuary (which looks pretty similar) and likely king jellyfish, which are the massive crowned jellyfish in orbit. The elder bird also belongs to this category. The poem released at the beginning of shattering also references behemoths which are probably More elder creatures.

They usually but do not always appear around smaller members of their same kind, for instance the elder manta appearing around mantas, implying that they may have served as a leader of flocks or something similar. Along this logic, the same thing would also be true for the elder bird.

They also appear in the final rhythm cutscene which implies they can be ridden and often were.
And, lastly, the white and yellow rhythm masks were based off different variations of elder birds, implying that those also exist! Like elder ducks.
