I prefer the view we have in live. I like to see all my collected "currencies" with one tap. Is this new view planned for live? For any would-be iOS beta testers - this is what it looks like when you have both live and beta apps installed. The 2 apps are treated as separate game apps, both connected to the same game center account. The difference is: live game app gets updates via App Store, beta game app gets installed and receives updates via TestFlight. So make sure you download and install TestFlight before the next invite wave. When you have the next beta invite link, make sure you open it in Safari on the device which has TestFlight installed. (I had to AirDrop the link from my phone which has Discord, to the iPad which has TestFlight). The invite link will take you to TestFlight and will start downloading the beta app. When the download starts, you are in! 👏🏻 I hope you find it useful. 🙂

The Whale Call Spirit Shop is a placeholder location where we test items on beta that may or may not be related to Seasonal content. It will not have any impact on completing a zone's Constellation nor impede your ability to achieve the Hidden Forest Ultimate Gift in the Live version of the game.

The spirit shop location for the invisible cape is a placeholder, it will not impact your ability to complete the Hidden Forest constellation or receive its Ultimate Gift. The price is not a placeholder. It's not meant to be something every player gets. It's not an Ultimate Ultimate gift for completing every constellation. It is meant to be a deliberately difficult item for those that really want to be capeless.

It's meant to be a silly item and prohibitively expensive, which is why there was a 99 Ascended Candle lock tied to it as well as the 999 Heart cost. Not having a cape and being able to fly is immersion breaking and exposes some of the rigging wonkiness of the skykid character model. For the time being, it is only a beta easter egg.

Just left this for the staff to read in #beta-feedback, but I am really impressed by the improvements made to the portrait mode gameplay in this patch. I took two pics at normal (30fps) and a short video at energy-saving mode. Anything higher resolution and it was basically on par with landscape mode!

I managed it after one day, and didn’t do anything special. Really curious how it works tho, since we as beta moths can achive it so fast, probably a live player moth can do it too with adding friends and stuff. Which every moth does in the beginning. That is the real cost of the item for the invisible cape, but it's meant to be like an easter egg kind of item, that's why it's only in beta. They have no plans to make it available in the live version of the game any time soon (and they might not ever do it). So don't stress out trying to get it, it's just kind of for fun not really meant to be obtained by everyone

It also kind of looks weird when you're flying, because the capes cover up some of the ways the character's body moves when it's flying around, so it contorts in weird ways sometimes lol

“Shepherd meter”

Being a shepherd is supposed to mark you as a helpful player to others, and you’ll be able to see new players have a heart icon over them (probably to encourage you as an experienced player to lead moths around)

It’s pretty unclear exactly what determines filling that meter. It’s been in beta for months but the devs haven’t really taken it anywhere

If ur in live, there is no current way of turning it into portrait mode, but if ur in beta the option is seen in the settings, it’s a bit hard to miss

I can do portrait mode in live, need to press window split, open sky and done. I do this with discord but not so usefull

@past escarp Just tap on settings that is located in the upper right corner of your screen where it should be. Then select portrait mode from the options there. I'm an iOS user btw.

@cloud sail that's one of the features we are testing. 🙂 i believe they are a shepherd. which is someone in sky who has interacted in a helpful way that has been designated as a guide. we don't know exactly what actions fill the meter to get to that status.

Have you tried friending someone by using up candles instead of using a QR?
A friend mentioned that that increased their shepherd gauge dramatically.
