that's stormlocked home, it's what home looks like if you went into the point of no return and manually closed your game/the game crashed. the portals are shut, you can't access your constellations, but the return shrine is the only thing you can access - to emphasise that you can't do anything else but continue on with your journey in eden.

I always did eden solo... but thanks to this discord server i finally did it with 2 other players. One of them was ubering us, so technically i still never did eden with my friends

I enjoyed screaming at them and telling them to just die faster... because i got stuck next to a rock and just got continuously hit in the face by the endless red rock rain and died first :/

ignoring the fact that I died due to a glitch, all else was fun. (I also did eden on my mac for the first time, i used to play on mobile and thats how i did eden up until recently when there was mac support!)

So it’s been my practice for a while to dress up like a matchstick before being reborn, which I did just before reset last night. This morning I ran into my friend who I’ve been wanting to run Eden with for a while, so she and some other mutual friends all dressed like me and we ran Eden together, and gathered winged lights after for a while. Now that I think of it it would have been pretty funny to all activate glow spells- we’d have looked like we just came from Orbit

I do solo runs a lot too, which I enjoy, but it’s definitely easier with others, especially if you’ve got warp enabled. And it’s a fun bonding experience. It is annoying when you get server split or, as was the case with me this morning, you get a bug that forces you to restart your device which usually separates you from your crew.

I have a question about eden for you, I haven't been fully, I got stuck. I am aiming to be ready and do Eden next weekend. Thing is I have to do the last little prince quest which takes in Eden. Can I just avoid the Prince? Come back for him or am I stuck helping him?

Outside of the ending of the quest ofc the rest of eden still plays as normal so you should get all the rewards of it as normal

If you avoid the prince it won’t let you finish the quest. You must give a wl to the prince statue in order to proceed onto the last quest final

It isn’t really that much of a quest since it’s just freeing the eden statues the same and adding the little prince in- you would just continue the eden run after the cutscene anyway- no worries on not being able to find the prince

the last section has you give wl to statues, which traduces to ascended candles when you reach 0, you can buy those locked nodes in the spirit trees which then will give you 1 wl per node you unlocked (while at the same time giving you access to new cosmetics), after that you need to go collect all the other wl again tho

part of the reason why people love the lpp quests so much is because it involves some of the prince's backstory - like most of the seasonal quests include cutscenes when the prince reminisces about his life, and with what your skid is showing him

Tbh, I prefer the Sky adaptation of TLP to the recentish movie adaptation. I absolutely love the way the stories of Sky and The Little Prince converge. I had actually never read the book myself before the season- only had it read to me when I was very little. But after the season my partner bought me a special hardcover edition for my birthday, and my mind was blown by how well the two narratives mesh.

I agree with the comment above that 60 seems like a decent number of WL for your first run, but it also depends on your goal. If you are eager to see Eden and “complete” the story of Sky, then there’s no reason not to go as soon as you have 20. If you want to get a decent number of Ascended Candles so you can buy more wing buffs your first time through and maybe have some AC left over for the next TS, then best to wait until you have more.

I don't think so, once you reach the part with the endless rock rain I think it falls too quickly for just deep calling to keep up, it would just slow you down so I think you're better off just walking as fast as you can and getting to as many statues as you're able to before running out of light

I dunno why but on my switch every time I complete Eden with people around and I die, I get stuck on a screen with lots of black particles and a blank sky. In the distance is a blue light that I can honk from but like... Nothing happens. I can't move or see anything. It looks like I'm out of bounds somehow.

After a while the game just crashes.

(usually happens because when you die, you turn into a blue light following around the remaining players. however, it breaks. a lot)

the blue lights can see what you're doing! they can also do emotes and use spells, + honk (although you cant recharge them with your honks)
i havent been able to see if them using an instant recharge potion would do anything though
the blue lights will jump from surviving player to surviving player until everyone is dead (how cheerful)

if the last surviving player takes long enough, the dead players will be given a prompt to move on without them (i think about 10 mins)

not entirely, because veterans can die before newer players depending on when they enter pnr. sometimes you can be on the verge of losing all your wings then someone else enters the server, and you;ll need to watch them until they finish. another example is if you're in pnr with a moth and they're too scared to move on, so you die and respawn as a blue light watching them.

the blue lights will just follow you around but they cant move otherwise. it's meant to make eden a more emotional experience, because you're hanging around watching the surviving players and cheering them on, and they too are aware that the surviving players are "with" them. after that, you rebirth together

Yes, correct, and you can see when your skykid is facing less wind resistance. That’s the time to hop across. Though sometimes the wind works in your favor and blows you up onto the ledge above.

The best way to tell when to jump that gap is to pay attention to the flapping flags in the distance in the valley gap, when they're flapping really hard, you can't cross yet. When they flap gently with the wind, it's okay to jump the gap. Alternatively, you can watch your Sky kid's head and when they look up, you can cross.

I usually try to avoid it, but I don’t stress like I used to when I get Krilled. A couple of times recently I’ve gotten Krilled on purpose have been to make shared memories. Thought it was pretty funny to use the lv 4 bubbling boatswain emote after, like “wheeze, I’m ok, wheeeeeeeze.”

You know, it's funny because to me it seems like BOTW had inspiration from Sky itself because of these reasons:

-Calamity Ganon is shaped and looks like a Dark Dragon, despite being a pig monster.

-During the Blood Moons in BOTW, you can see Malice particles forming and even in Hyrule Castle once you get there, the same darkness particles you see while in Eye of Eden.

There was actually something else I was thinking of recently that seemed Sky inspired but can’t remember what it was. After years of wanting to play BOTW I finally started it like last week because I have family staying with me for the summer and they brought a switch.

And I think, like nearly all fantasy adventure games, Sky loosely takes some amount of inspiration from the Legend of Zelda series.

In one of them I dressed in dismiss’ wool cape, daydream forester hair with a bird on top, modest dancer mask and I don’t recall what pants and used the lv 4 storyteller emote and said something about how I love all creatures before getting Krilled. I think in one other I had an outfit with Dismiss’ mask and did the fire prophet emote before getting Krilled. I love the idea of using the narcissist emote tho!

Worth trying, tbh I’ve never tried starting a shared memory while in the sky. Once I put the candle next to the TS platform at home when it wouldn’t let me put the candle on it, and then walked on the platform to try and start the memory and it cancelled it automatically.

One of my biggest disappointments with shared memories is that fireworks don’t show up. Instruments work, the staff should too.

like what haydon said, don’t jump in the section with endless rain. For some reason, getting hit while in the air even once will get you trapped in a loop of getting knocked over, and most likely knocked over again before you can even get back up. Walking the entire time will be slower but much more consistent progress, as you’ll only get slowed a bit when hit and not knocked over

There is no way to not die- the only way out of Eden is through. I have 193 WL, and once you light the last statue, all you can do is wait for the rocks to take your remaining winged lights.

Hero's Journal Entry for today: Met a very cooperative and rather skilled moth in Eden today and they befriended me, they followed and mimicked my every move perfectly, as if I was looking at a mirror copy of myself. When I got in the tunnel, I deployed my table and asked if it was their first time and they said yes. I told them that if they wanted me to accompany them I'd gladly do so. They said they didn't care and that they really don't know what they're doing anyways. I told them that beyond the tunnel, their objective is to give up their light to the frozen statues up ahead, but did not spoil what would happen, instead I told them to not be afraid of failure. It is not the end.

Going inside, when the moth was low on winged lights, I once again deployed my table where it was safe and told them that I will join them, and to be patient while I run through the endless rock rain. They stayed and watched me, and soon I joined them.

Then, in the ascension to Orbit I congratulated them and told them it's time to ascend. Once we reached Orbit I thanked them for allowing me the honor of guiding them through Eden and thanked them for playing Sky. They said thank you. And they said they got 5 ascended candles. I told them they did good for their first time. Then we rebirthed together and didn't see them afterwards.

I'd say use a map there's one in the pinned and another that's made by Clement. When you're knocked down just spam call, it helps making your skykid get up faster. Lastly, don't skip/jump during the endless rockrain
