In my experience, a moth is anyone who still only has the brown cape that you get at the start of the game because they just started so they don’t have enough hearts or don’t know enough about the game to buy more cosmetics 🧐 The term “moth” comes from the fact the brown capes look like an adorable flying moth who’s just being cute and knocking itself against the walls by accident 💕 at least that’s my interpretation of it, it’s really not meant as a pejorative term, most players love moths and guide them around or teach them tricks! (Edit spelling lol)

That would depends on how much light you can keep it safe

Although, there is around 63 statues, and 1 statue gives 0.25 ascended candle

Someone who died in the same server as you and are now that blue orb:) When you're with someone in the same server in pnr and you die first, you turn into a blue orb and follow the other person until they die, and so on if there are multiple people. You can also restart sky to force server split and finish Eden faster, or wait for a pop up that asks if you want to continue alone, and you can say yes or no

Question!! I’ve done Eden twice now, so I finally looked at the wiki page and it mentioned the area with the statues had three zones. I’ve never made it past the second zone, but the wiki implied that the third zone didn’t have any crystal death rain— is that true?

There used to be a bug where if you got all previous section statues up to when the pillar falls in the background of the 2nd area, close to the third and don't get statue 38 and 39, going home and using the return shrine would make 3rd section not spawn rocks. That has been fixed for around a year, though.

Not 15.0, but when Switch launched, there were some changes to Eden. Before, Ascent had a single path with the jellies rather than the split. The Castle looked a bit different iirc. Some parts with the krill had some polish as well, iirc.

I gotta say, I’m a little sad about getting all the elder hairs. Now I have almost nothing driving me to go to Eden anymore. I have 80 Ascended candles so it’ll take a while to spend those down. I guess there’s always wing buffs after traveling spirits come, but as it stands I’m well past 150 after collecting all the WL in the realms so that doesn’t necessarily even matter. I feel like I should push myself to help new players through Eden every other week or so, that seems like it’d be rewarding.

I have a very specific and weird outfit involving the days of bloom cape and Prophet of Air mask, so I think I’ll put that on and set up a tea-set near the Big Door using one of my leftover spells and offer to help anyone who comes over to me.

• you give all your winged light to statues
• you get ascended candles in return
• with ascended candles you can unlock spirit locks
• this depens friendship with spirits and it gives you wing buff, which raises your total wing count after doing Eden.

Don't worry about the winged light you loose. Lost wings respawn to their places in realms.

You can get up to 15.75 red eden candles each week, 1 statue you saved is ¼ candle (there are 63 of them). You can give statues your wings once a week, eden resets on Sundays.

If you unlock locks in spirits trees (it means you ascend them) and collect the same amount of winged light after eden, you will have more and more wings with each spirit lock in total.

This is why many users have up to 182 wings in total, because they go to eden, get red candles, and buy spirit locks

With practice it won't be too long. As a beginner I collected wings only in 1-3 realms each day depending on mood.

Actually collecting all in one day will take an hour or two, without cr. That highly depends on your route ofc and how fast you are in general. I wouldn't stress about collecting all at all. It just gives you extra boost to fly for longer, which is definitely nice but isn't necessary if you don't prioritise it. There are ubers in #looking-for-group-live that host candle runs, wing light runs and can help with whatever. Wing light ubers are mostly on Saturdays and Sundays tho, they're still there during the rest of the week, just lon of rare since a lot of people go on reset

And well more wl = more statues you can save, which again is nice but wouldn't worry about it. You have a whole week to collect them

Yes, you don't need to grab all the winged light in one go. After rebirth, I just gather the WL from the candle cake realm that day. You'll get all the stars within a few days doing that. (I get 5 of the Dawn stars, no trial stars, at rebirth)

As a new player I have a question. When you are reborn, it only takes your winged light, right? All my other items/spirits will be fine? Also I read that rebirth only happens once, afterwards you're rewarded red candles with each eden completion. Is that right?

And you will be reborn every time that you complete eden to the end

You will be given red candles based upon how many statues of dead sky children you saved - there are 63 in total

The red candles may then be later used to buy wing locks in the constellation trees of spirits

As you buy more wing locks and increase the strength of your cape, you will be able to survive in the statue area for longer and even eventually light all 63 in one go. The current wing maximum is above 175 but I forget the exact number

Yeah most probably because the pillar blocked the rocks/shelters you from it, that area is a place where rocks cant reach supposedly

I would assume the Weekly Eden reset is to keep AC a time limited and difficult currency to acquire. This is why it's limited to only a few spell purchases and constellation tree unlocks. (Spirits and friendship)

First screenshot I ever took of Eden back in March of 2018. This is from the update that added it to the game!

Back then, Eden only had two parts to it: the hill leading to the cave, and the cave with the falling rocks. At that time, you could actually make it to the end without dying, which would then take you here (all screenshots are of the same room). The light orb would fly up at one point (from what I recall, after interacting with each of the statues that would become the ancestors if you had all the emotes in an area). After that, you’d walk into the orb, and the game would tell you that you’re about to be reborn.

Ok so ascended spirits I think they refer to when you get an extra winged light when you spend an Ascended Candle on a spirit

practice. It's also easier to fly in Eden if you time it with the winds and immediately go into flight mode instead of glide mode. Glide you usually get pushed back to the entrance.

i can fly skip the section with the krills and the big pipe, that skip is pretty easy as long as you have a little patience to wait for the krill to move out of the way ^^ but i didnt know it was possible to fly skip the entire first area, that was WILD

The other method is possible, but it's a little more difficult to pull off and a lot more practice would be needed to get it down 100% than the one I showed you. Both methods, you look at the flag in the lower right of the video to see when the wind dies down.

Depends on what you mean by 'without stopping'?. Even at 183 (max wl) you'll need to stop once in a while to avoid losing too much wl before the endless rain. The more wl you have, the more wl you lose. At most you can lose 5-6 wl per hit at 150wl and over. Below 150 is still 5 wl per hit I'm pretty sure. It slows down at 100 wl and 50 wl.

All in all you need 140 wl to get all statues, that's if you don't lose any before the endless rock rain

So my issue is that none of the sky kids are igniting at all in eden— i moved from mobile to switch. I logged out and logged in— I had a friend that restarted once that was doing it with me— and after they restarted were fine my error is persisting

Now I’m not expecting microsoft support or like a help desk.

But is this an issue that has occurred before or should I flag a warning about the issue?

It used to be a common bug where people weren't able to light statues even tho they haven't been to eden that week, over a couple of updates that issue seemed to have been happening less, but it still exists. Have you tried the good ol phone restart? Trying clearing cache (not data) . Try restarting sky during pnr and using return shrine a couple of times, that used to work for some. Need to do it a few times. Go again tomorrow if you haven't? How long have you had this issue? If you've tried everything, then wait until the next reset and see what happens then.
Something that helped me is just going the next day again and glitching out of pnr if you know how to do that, so you don't need to go through the whole dying thing for half an hour each time. It always fixed itself the next day for me

The only thing you lose is your winged lights, and in return you receive ascended candles. It doesn't really matter how much wl you have on your first run, just enjoy the experience:)
And don't forget that eden resets once a week, not daily like regular candles. You can look into the whole mechanic after you're done with the first run 👁️👁️

The point of Eden is the cycle of losing all your collected winged light for the limited currency, AC. There isn't a way to not lose all your winged light to get Ascended Candles. It's the meaning of the game: To give up everything you have to save the lives of others.

If you're talking about the "buffs" in friendship trees when you click a friend (not a spirit), it's different from a spirit. It won't give you any additional winged light

Friend trees don't give wing buffs. They're simply there to progress through the tree:)
The double wl comes from the water prophet, his wing buff often won't show up in ||orbit|| and you'll receive it with the ||orbit wl|| . It's a bug

The braiser things act as checkpoints and when you light them it raises them up, theres also checkpoints on certai raised areas and the flaoting spinny icebergs

Why is eden so horribly hard nowadays

you get hit once and literally lose 5 lights

I usually go in with maximum carefulness and 170 wls and still end up barely getting all of them

That update has been here for a while now, it's meant to make it easier and faster to die with 150wl. There used to be complaints that vets took too long to die.. so here we are🥲 With a good route you can get all with 140wl+ , assuming you don't lose any before the endless storm. It has made Eden harder tho for regular players. It only made me care less about how much AC I get

I've been around since enchantment so I usually go with way more than 150wls,, at one point near the endless storm, you lose about 30-40wls in the span of 20 seconds and I just-??

Hjjj Idr where I saw it bc I accidentally scrolled all the way to the bottom but the amount of wl you lose when you get hit by the rocks or krill corolates to the amount of wl you currently have. I'm not sure what the exact ration is but I noticed the less wl I have the less wings I lose.

There was an update a few updates ago where they implemented that system. I heard it was for vets that are with 150+ wl since quite a few complained that it took too long to die- But yeah at 150 wl you will lose 5 per hit. (Can be more than 5 due to the dark water) and at 50 you start losing 1-2 wl per hit

from what I understand, this yellow light is supposed to be glowing here when the player is far away from it, as a sort of beacon, and it should turn off when the player reaches this building. sometimes it doesn't turn off correctly though-- that's the glitchy part.

could be wrong about that though, it's just what I understood from the sky GDC presentation, which used a lot of technical language that I didn't understand

It should save your progress. It will likely start you back up in home space, but you can use the return shrine to go back to where you were and finish up

I learned to fly it through a friend that did it with me. It helps to have some sort of item that can help you recharge in case you do mess up (or you can always go home and use return shrine to get charged back up). I also practiced with a levitation? spell (the one that makes it easier to fly) and/or a quick recharge spell

either way, whether you fly or walk, will get you to your destination! There's plenty of guides on YouTube as well to show you the best routes and timing for flying to the bridge if you do want to learn!

Hey there everyone, just a quick tip for shortcutting Eden fast and ez
At the second area (after first place with the huge door) in the little cave room, there are 2 cracks in the wall to the left. Try to find thes small cracks, and try going up close to them and jumping next to it. You'd Gould be able to glitch out of the room and you'll be out of the map in the red sky. Fly up towards the clouds, then go further (make sure to stay up high). You'll be able to survive the Cutscene without falling all the way down if you hold onto the fly button next the clouds! Navigate your way through, (again don't forget to stay high as there are wins barriers that will push you down and trap you in rocks) and when you're at the last area with the krill, try to get right in the middle of that area and fly down. Attempt to dodge the krill if you can
