Yeah. You buy wing buffs from the spirits using Ascended Candles. You can buy at Home or in Orbit.
Buying from Home: You have to go to Eden and finish it to get them on the starry path in Orbit.
Buying in Orbit: When you walk towards the white glowing portal that sends you Home, the ancestor spirits will appear and give you your purchased Wing Buffs.

There will be a constellation plate in Orbit, which is surrounded by closet stones.
You stand on the middle stone which is the largest of them all and press the constellation button that pops up. It gives you the option to view all of the realm constellations.
Pick any emote. The spirit will come down and show the spirit tree. Using your AC, you can buy the Wing Buff by pressing on the lock with wings icon. If the Wing Buff costs 2 AC, you press the icon two times.

@carmine drum out of bounds is just..well..out of bounds of the map youre supposed to be in. it can be achieved by bugging through walls. i personally use oob to get to stormlock fast and skip all of the krills and red rocks
for me its not scary anymore since im used to it,
but it can be risky if you dont know the path or how to actually get into the stormlock bridge
since ive noticed beginner oobs leap off of the edge instead of into the side of it

youre basically forced to finish the level
however it will always warn you beforehand and ask if you want to return home

depending on the amount of winged light you have it may take some time or be very fast, but if youre someone like me who just runs in the storm near the diamond to save the rest of the children faster then your winged light may go down faster

I see. What seems to be happening (as far as i can tell) is that i am following someone as a lightt, they die, i revive, they follow me as a light until i die, and it just keeps repeating that cycle :/

yeah, it's a particularly persistent bug that TGC is continually trying to get rid of, but it just sticks around for some reason. Refreshing the game will sometimes fix the social part of the problem as it usually puts you in an empty server

if you die outside of eden, you get sent to a room where you get a "pity star", which is essentially a WL they give you so you can be reborn. you don't get any ascended candles because you didn't save any children, and you don't get the wing buffs you've bought so far.

they're essentially extra winged lights you can purchase from spirits using ascended candles. you're given them at the end of orbit when you're about to be reborn. if you lose them, you need to go through eden to get them back again. you'll keep the wing buffs you've purchased forever, and they slowly accumulate, which lets you increase your wedge amount!
