I made such a big mistake

Had to go inside the storm/statue area when I just went on Friday and spent all my candles (only had 3 normal candles)
I went solo last time but someone Uber’d me to the hallway. Planned to go to Eden just to get stars for 8 wings... then proceeded to lose 5 stars to the krill when I got blown away by the wind trying to get the star next to the hallway entrance. Thought “welp” better to lose all stars at this point

So now I have 1 normal candle and this

Either part. I saw someone fly over both parts kinda in a speed run video before.

(In the second part, make sure you don’t start flying until you get near the steps/stairs, unless you want to be blown back into the pipe. From then on, there’s almost no wind to push you down UNTIL you get on top of the pipe.)

the first part: always stay on open winged mode and fly “with” the wind in a way. let it blow you back in a controlled manner sorta

the way i do it is to keep low-ish until im near the two big point rocks, and then fly up, up, up

when i’m flying up and the wind is carrying me up, i do an upwards flip to save wedges

(i do this on 6 flaps)

but yes, glide mode and keep note on the wind

@harsh geyser (pardon the ping) I'm sure you'll be able to complete Eden solo, given some patience, caution, and practice.

I say that as someone who reached the point-of-no-return-cave solo at least 3 times recently with little to no flight/flap tricks, or any special toys, and little/no wings lost (and I had least 8 flaps I could use if needed, though I don't trust myself with Eden winds) (one solo run before most recent reset, later another solo after that reset, and a 3rd solo recently just to get the 9 wings at that final cave to reach 9 flaps), with no wings lost [except for my last run for those 9 wings, mainly from trying to fly straight to a cover up the steps to tower from a good distance back, but I instead got blown back into a pipe ‘entrance’ and into a big red crystal. That single hard knock into that large red crystal costed me 2 wings, which I luckily managed to get both back later from quick daily routes]. I didn't use any flying tricks [or at least successfully], though a good dose of patience helped, as well as making use of statue candles whenever I could.

I admit I referenced a Eden guide or two to improve my solo runs or have little/no wing losses, though I had a few very minor differences with my solo runs.

A quick question related to Eden and partners:

If one was carrying/holding a partner's hand through the Eden journey, and, say, gets behind a cover (rocks or dark dragons), but that cover is only large enough for one character, will the partner take damage (or spotted by dark dragon) from being exposed?

they will def have their own hitbox for rocks; i think they will get spotted, but i cant say for certain since my strategy/route for eden avoids krill by a fair margin

in my experience, for that part with krill + rocks in front of the star tunnel, the gravestones there seem small but are large enough for two characters/more

You can fit three people behind a slab if you angle it a bit, but your partner will take damage if a rock hits

Ok, I asked because I used at least two covers that were quite small (one can't cover 2 or more, unless directly behind).

Both were covers before the final cave, one a final cover for flying rocks, and the other cover being the small pointy block that covers from dark dragon coming in from the right.

Both looked and felt like tight fits, even for solo [at least imho].

the large rock on the left provides a safe path up most of the krill-danger-zone which makes timing things a bit easier, since you don't have to wait for both no-rocks and no-krill

when you walk on the path in orbit (the road with stars), there's one light for each wing buff you unlocked. when you walk past them, you get wings from them.
and i don't think there's a real max, just max available for the moment

What are wing buffs?

When you “ascend” a spirit, you purchase it’s wing buff. A wing buff is the node in a spirit tree that looks like a lock with wings, as seen in the pic blow this post. They cost ascended candles, which you get from running Eden.

What do they do?

Wing buffs act like winged light, but instead of needing to collect them like in the regular realms, they’re given to you right before going through the ||rebirth portal in orbit.|| This means instead of being ||reborn|| with just 1 winged light and cape wedge, you can have multiple without needing to collect any winged light to begin with.

How many wing buffs can I get?

Currently there are 39 base-game (non traveling spirit) wing buffs. There are 37 base-game spirits though, each offers 1 wing buff, but 2 (prairie wave and forest cry) offer 2 wing buffs in their trees, making the total 39.

How many cape wedges/stars can I get without buying wing buffs?

Currently there are 79 collectible winged light, and one from the ||end credits,|| so the absolute max without wing buffs is 80 winged light. That means you’re at the 8 wedge tier. You won’t be able to get any more cape wedges without ascending spirits.

I ascended all the base-game spirits, but some people still have more wing buffs then me, how?

Outside of the base-game spirits, traveling spirits offer wing buffs as well. It’ll cost 2 ascended candles, and once bought, you have it permanently just like the regular spirits. Keep in mind that if you completed a traveling spirit in their original season, you’ll still need to buy the wing buff they offer once they return.

The following pic is what a wing buff looks like in a spirit tree. No matter the cost, every single node like this only counts as one winged light.

originally the name for eden was “storm”, so that’s probably why a lot of people use it. the term “stormlock” refers to how you are “locked” into completing eden when you go past the point of no return

Yeah it's a death loop bug, closing the game is the best fix or you will bounce back and forth alternating turns for death. When the person you trail dies you respawn no stars and have to die again.... I once got stuck as a blue spark next to a light. And someone as a blue spark tried to play hide and seek with me o.O

So, I was reborn with level 10 las week, then died last Sunday (I managed to go throug Eden with 82! That's alot for a newbie like me lol), I used ascended candles in like 6 spirits then...I was reborn with 10 again? Wasn't I supposed to go back with more?

Has flashing intentionally been added to Eden? I haven't seen this before because of going OOB to skip the krill stage. There is a big problem with this; flashing like this can trigger seizures for sensitive people. This did happen in a stage of beta, but was taken out before Sky was released.
That is why I am wondering if this is some bug. This is NOT something that should be in the game unless there is a seizure trigger warning on the loading screen.

That is why it seems like a programming change. Another side to it is the flashing happens right before the rocks fly, which is another reason why I wonder if it was put in on purpose.

I just did Eden and the end with the rebirth it like hit me. We are a star that landed inside a skykid and we're going around trying to find our star friends.

Went to eden again to get my wing buffs after being capeless. Met two players and we went on the journey to death together XD. I died first as I only had 1 winged light and it was a slow progress to get to orbit. These two fought hard and held long (both i think have 7 wedges?). Once we all finally died we flew up to orbit together. I kept honking to see if they were still there and when i see their icon, i couldn't help but smile. Often times when i go to eden with strangers i lose them along the way, so it was nice to see that i won't be alone in orbit this time. But that happy feeling went away too soon. Me and one player arrived at orbit first, and we waited for the other one to come. While waiting, the player offered me a friendship candle. And as i was about to press the icon, our electricity went out. When it got back, they were gone and i was, yet again, alone in orbit :"<

oh yeah!! I guided a moth through Eden(at least, they still had the brown cape and like 5 cape power), from the area where you get blown to by the rocks, though I lost them before Melissa bc I needed a guide on how to pass her bc I always get seen by her

she got to the part when you have to walk to the light child but instead of the child showing up, her sky kid started auto walking and wouldnt stop no matter what she did

~100 is enough to get to the end, bring a friend to spam deep call, and unlock warp so when you're knocked and lost all power, you can warp to a friend to recharge

I've been going in and out for a while now, trying to fly up there

@icy vector a big one is to switch into open wing/flight mode right after you jump/take off, then wait two seconds before proceeding with your flaps

start too soon, and you'll go too high and be blown off course because you're spending too much time in the air

angle's also quite important, but i think i've seen two different approaches to it on youtube

haven't managed it myself yet, i just go the long way around through the ravine instead

Tip on making it over the gap of doom: try jumping on the ledge above instead of over and across

hey I finished Eden yesterday for the first time and that part with the Crystal Rain where you die and reborn, it isn't supposed to happen that I got to try it four times untill I actually died and rebirthed, right? just asking to be sure before I make a bug report

Had it happen on my first Eden run, totally ruined the immersion for me
