Ok so, I stopped playing sky for a bit cuz I burned myself out on accident (don’t worry, nothing a bit of Minecraft can’t fix) but I just played through Eden for the first time after the update, HOLY WOW I love what they have done to the place! The atmosphere is so much more vibrant at the eye! And the issue of constantly getting knocked down was fixed with the crawling!!

If you've never been in before, it's probably best you do, that way you get access to more stuff in-game, as a lot of things need AC to allow you to reach a wider range of stuff. Eden itself isn't scary, but if you're taking the normal route you have to be super cautious incase you lose wings pat pat

The circled shrine is best being ignored (stage 2 area) as it wastes a lot of time just recharging. If you need a quick recharge, go to it but I advise being fast with that one

With eden changes, I personally suggest taking oobs to save time and lights when in Eden's second zone and flying in oob to the wing tunnel ^^

It wasn't so much of an issue but a lot of people complained about it. You would fall every other second from the rock rain and sometimes it'd spam fall, and you would kind of stay in place for a bit unable to move on. It wasn't really a bug or anything, just really annoying. Some assumed the crawling was meant to fix that, which it did in a way by getting rid of it entirely, but the crawling ofc brought more issues

Oh. But the crawling is so much worse!
And before 0.18.0 if you walked through the red rain instead of trying to run, you got hit a lot less, hardly at all. It was so much easier… cry, cry…

I personally prefer the crawling, the constant falling just got on my nerves😭 It'd bug out as well and you'd stay in place for a full minute, not sure if that was even a bug. My favourite eden is when you were able to jump through the rain and got hardly hit Don't remember what update that was that removed it

Weird, everyone was basically experiencing it. And you don't, you just light every recharging shrine, try to be patient and fully recharge before going on and then crawling til the end. There were more recharging shrines added towards the end, although the very last one is a tiny bit hard to get it. I've managed to get all but the last statue every time since the update, got pretty close to the last statue a few times but yet to get to it

Yes, I've heard of players getting all. I got 61 last time but before that I've been getting, idk, about 48–53. Before the 0.18.0 update I used to get all. Obvs it depends how many wings you've got. I suppose Ill get used to it eventually ;)

'Walking' would only slow you down and it never prevented you from falling down, if you meant not pushing the joystick as far to do the semi walk instead of running

I am talking about just holding down the left control to walk forward and not swiping or using the right control. The result is a walk because the constant rock rain stopped you from running. Does that make sense? I saw it in a video and when I used it I was able to save all the statues. You didn't get hit and fall down much at all that way.

Ah I'm aware then, but a lot of people still experienced getting knocked down. Using the right control is jumping, which is what I'm talking that caused you to fall more frequently. Just walking without jumping still meant you'd fall every other second, and a lot of people experienced getting stuck in the same place because the skykid would stay in place and fall over multiple times in a row

Do you guys know if using a half deep call to get yourself back on your feet quickly after being knocked down still works? Before the update I would use that trick in the last area of Stormlock with the nonstop rock rain to keep myself moving. The way you do it is you prepare a deep call but stop holding down halfway through so you do the animation but don’t spin and deep call.

When I honked constantly, my skykids honks went along with the song lol (like it changed notes according to the song). I've never noticed that before, that's really cool.

You don't get knocked anymore, it's just straight to crawling once you're out of light, so no it wouldn't work. The only way to get back up from crawling is recharging^^

You're getting comfused about wings likely, you get one wing for exiting orbit, wether you skip or not ^^

Not necessarily - if you wait for long enough, you’ll get the option to progress alone. I think it’s something like ten minutes, though, so they might realistically finish before you get the option.

With that amount of WL you should be able to get 12-13 or so if you're careful, maybe more depending on when you get hit. With the crawling system the way it is now, it's best to try to take your time and make it to the recharging spots/light those up first and then get the surrounding statues. There is a more recent map of the statue area too, let me find it to link

If you haven’t played in years, I suggest you give it a go and see what I’m talking about before commenting. I could do Eden solo…. Still challenging but I could and help others (especially new players) get through. Now I don’t even want to go, let alone with another player (new or not). Now you cannot deep call to recharge anyones light. If you lose your light, you can’t warp to them or them to you. You can’t stand up. You can’t get to safety (from krill or anything) or get to a light source without losing even more winged. Nor can you retrieve even one of your scattered wings. I love being a chibi. Chibi’s have their own challenges but now the wind makes it extremely frustrating. I feel bad for the new players! They have such a bad experience. Many don’t know they are supposed to give their winged light away and die in the last part. If they even make it to that point that is. …AND keep in mind this happens in wasteland and the forest too. Minus the strong wind.

With the increasing harshness of the storm in eden for the season, wouldn’t it make sense though? For old players we don’t have to go through Eden either, we can do shards which are also optional! Eden is literally the place where sky kids go through a very difficult and likely painful challenge in order to help their friends by giving up their own life. Why should it be easy? I think the increase in difficulty makes sense from a “lore”(?) stand point. 🙂

As someone saying in genchat, yes. U supposwd to die in eden.
Each statue give 0.25 ascended candles wax and max of statue in pnr is 63 meaning 15.75 ac per trip
Also eden reset evert sunday, if you had gone once better not go in the same week since it wont be able to take your wing light

So like I was with a group of moths but thank to the chibi mask I couldn't go further and lost 1 winged light in a attempt to go back

So I restarted the eden run but I wanted to ve along moths to help them out.
Eden moth 1 was always putting the hand emote even tho I try to translate through emotes when to stop and eden moth 2 lost connection

While this is more or less true, personally I’ll be glad to have mine on during the more intense shard events. They’re chaotic and I still get yeeted into the red crystals by crabs occasionally. The shield will basically give me one free slip up. Although I don’t really care if I lose a few WL anyway.

If I'm reading this correctly the first two masks are the same and the forest mask protects against 4 crab attacks versus 3? I assume this is also includes red rocks and the flying boulders?

Yes, that sounds right. I would assume it would protect against red rocks and boulders, but don’t know for certain. I’ve tested the Isle Elder mask against krills and crabs and it worked, but interestingly will NOT protect you from the rain.

I’m looking forward to seeing what happens when I run face first into a red shard fragment while wearing it!

I gotta say, I’m super stoked on these masks. I like that they don’t make you indestructible, but do give you a little bit of a buffer against losing your WL. I also love that you gotta go back to the elder who you got it from to restore the shield effect, like “here, I breaked it🥺” . Plus they look amazing, and I’m happy to have something else to work towards long term again, and that I have a good reason to go to Eden every single week!

Did you know: If you press down while in the ending cutscene to Orbit, you'll start going down like a shooting star. Eventually, you'll hit invisible water like you usually do when you're OOB. Late response, but the only things you can really do are going to Eden every week and participating in the red shard events when they are available. ACs are more limited in how many you can get at a time, it's not something that you can grind for every day like regular candles

You can purchase wing buffs in home, but they won't be added to your cape until the next time you go through Eden/Orbit and are reborn again.

Once you have completed Eden, you can relive the spirits from past seasons to get their level one expressions if you choose, and you can continue to go through the realms to get candles and stuff to purchase cosmetics from the various spirits, keep making friends and exploring, etc.

I will warn, since the update to the crawl animation when getting unlit along with the changes to Eden itself, it does make it difficult to get every single statue. Even for those that have over a hundred winged lights. It's okay if you don't get all the statues in one run. You can go back through Eden multiple times if you want and try to get the rest of them. The statues you get on the first trip will remain lit up, so you'll know which ones you have lit up and which ones you haven't.

In the new eden, as your wl count goes up the ac count from an Eden run starts to plateau. Assuming I don’t lose any wl to the rocks before the continuous rock rain area, with around 120 wl I can get 14-14.75 acs; with around 150 wl I can get 15-15.5 acs, but I’m far from the last statue even if I enter pnr with 170+ wl.

So far since the resdesign, the best I’ve been able to do in Eden has been to get all but the very last statue, and that’s with 197 WL going in to PNR.

if your Uber does the eden shortcut that bypasses the whole second area and takes you directly to the hallway of WL then that would cut off about 10 min. But after PNR can take awhile especially if it’s your first time! I suggest taking your time and not rushing that part so you can get as many statues as possible. Also helps you to learn the layout and where they all are for future eden runs. Staying near a friend during all of the PNR part can be helpful for you both because you can light each other back up if you get hurt. If the vet is familiar with all the statue locations they can show you where they all are. Understandable to be scared but don’t fret too much about having to do perfectly. Your first time should be more about the narrative experience and enjoying the moment, even if it’s scary! But yes, having a veteran player or a friend go along with you or guide you makes it much less scary! Good luck!
