I know this is a simplified, easier version, but just keep in mind that as a result of that, some of the bass notes are not accurate to the original song. For example, while the first measure of notes are correct, the second measure first note should be an E, not a D. It’s a subtle difference, but it’s still a little inaccurate. Just wanted to point that out. The melody looks accurate though.

As a side note, a lot of times when someone is playing music like that, they may be practicing or recording, or otherwise don’t want to stop their song before they finish. Having someone come up and stand right next to them with their candle out can be read as interrupting. If I want to interact with or chat with someone I find playing music, I’ll sit somewhere close by and wait, then after they come to a break clap and go up with my candle out to “ask” to light them up

I know only 2 so far: Do Re Mi from Sound of Music and Lost Woods from Zelda. They're short and easy, especially Do Re Mi since the notes almost always follow one another in order, so practicing 30min to 1h per day for 2-3 days did the trick for me. I still mess up from time to time but I'm cutting myself some slack cause I just learned Lost Woods a few days ago and the other a bit more than a week ago

i think the best advice is to learn the melody (1 handed) first then focus on the accompanyment

you can get the key easily in broken temple (first part of gw)

or you can use the other method, which is wait for dismiss to come and buy music sheet 8, since sheet 8 is waltzing in the rain

Here is another Kalimba attempt, these attempts are for experimenting with the sounds not my official usual performances of these sheets

Conclusion: Kalimba is perfect for the slower, less complicated sheets with less notes and chords at once. Piano is better for those more complicated and quick sheets in my humble opinion

Lemme give you a tip- learn how to shift a song from one key to another, if you don't know already. Suddenly, you won't need to play in E major só bad and you can play basically anywhere you want! Really handy skill

I admit, it helps to have coloured strings. If I didn't have the red and blue C and F strings, I'd be horribly lost ^^;
It's been a learning curve being restricted in accidentals as well. I guess in a way, that allows for really smooth translation to sky music sheets and back. But for regular music ^^;

Makes sense! It was tough going from piano (which has all the accidentals) to being limited by sky music, but I adapted quickly, as you do. I haven’t properly practiced piano in a long long time, and Sky is helping me get excited about it again
