Hey I'm looking for some tips regarding the official in-game music sheets... those sheets that we all could get from spirits and play. Now I'm practicing to play them tho it's so difficult...
Any tips, websites, movies or infos?

(Oh and which apps for practice must be okay with TOS issues? I've been using Skyscores but didnt know the said issue)

the in-game sheets vary in difficulty, so sheet 3, for example, is quite hard, but its easy to get so many have it. sheet 5, however, is much easier to play, but is not as easy to get due to it being at the end of the spirit tree. if you want to learn them, you can find a clip on yt regarding the sheet, as that can help with things like timing. otherwise, theyre just a small game :) and with skyscores, as cake said its fine to use the free part, but if you want a completely free option, both sky studio and sky music are very popular, sky music being (in my opinion) the most versatile. you can find it at https://sky-music.herokuapp.com and saving it to homepage also helps with layout. anyways yeah 🏃

you can also look for options on google play/app store by searching sky music or sky studio and seeing what shows up.

Hi guys, how do you "simulate" sharps and flats, which are not in the mode u play?
E.g. if I'd like to play a lick containing c, c#, d, what to do for the c#?

I tryed to play c and d (c, c+d, d) together and it kinda works, but I'm not the best trained listener.

imo some tunes will sound good with simulating c# by "c+d", tho not all tunes...

Sometimes I put a completely different note which fits the chord, instead of the accidental note.
Like when needed an impossible G# note for an Emaj chord in an Aminor tune, I put just E note or B note instead.

Depends on tunes... depends on chords/modes, melody, texture, atmosphere maybe

@spice shale Thank you. Read something similar in a forum from Kalimba and Harmonica players. Guess thats prety much all you can do.
From my experience this works with fast play, where the impossible note is between two possible, but not if the impossible needs to be hold/is the last note of a cluster.
Very limited possiblitys here, sadly and no magic trick to be revealed.

I bet like you do it with every instrument. Start practicing reeal slow, almost super slowmo. Get those movements into your muscle memory system and increase speed every training session. When you make mistakes, you increased speed too much. Go one step back, or you practice your mistakes and to play wrong.

@cobalt lagoon You need to open "Manage Recordings". Then -> Import songs -> .TXT json -> find and choose the text file you've downloaded. After that again from "Manage Recordings" you can get into "Compose" mode. Press a "gear" button there and in opened menu choose downloaded song (in the "Song" panel down below). With that you would be able to see all notes and to change them if you want

@hollow zealot so far I understand, the key-board shows you how to invert a chord, a chord is more than three keys pressed at the same time. Invertions means changing the key- order.
So the table which shows the marked keys C/E is the C-Chord.
I don't know what the lower part should mean, sorry

edit :In the most cases the middle dot of an sky instrument keybord represents the C, which is coincidentally the first key on the piano claviatur shown.

but, I think there should be a sky-fanforum where one can help oneself with the basic music terms/ theory

@hollow zealot you have 15 keys on sky instruments. 2 octaves (C D E F G A B, C D E F G A B, C)
Basically count 15 white keys on real piano, starting at C. Ignore the black keys.

Thats the C maj/Amin scale. (Every realm is in another mode, e.g. forrest social area is Dmaj/Bmin Gmaj/Emin)
So you can only play songs in that scale, or have to transpose into it.

There are many good explanations and sheets in the pins.
