Keeping your light full is definitely important. Learning the patterns the Ur-Krill move in is also key: they seem to only strike in particular spots, at set times.

there are now white candles around that activate the shrines that you sit down at to go to the trials. so the white circle where you sit won't appear until those candles are lit

maybe that's the intended final form of the rocks or maybe was for the big shortcut that was discovered in the previous patch

-it’s about the air trial. I find the new one more challenging but still doable until I got dropped to a lower platform and repawn there and everytime i took a step it reset me. I tried going home since that helped me out last time it happened but this time it’s actually make the loop worse.

the deathloops in firetrials are what are adding to the frustration in the solo experience, if you don’t have much free time, I think it’s perfectly reasonable to hold off on solo fire trial until it is fixed. It’d just be burning time with an unintended bug heavily affecting gameplay in a negative and unnecessary way

The fire trial is a little hard for me. I took a full night to pass the trial. The first time I pass it takes 25min. But after 5 hours of playing I manage to get the time down to 12min with all cutscenes.

I’d say not..really ahah, I mean it’s 4 elements and the cosmetics are inspired by a lot of different cultures (just like how Avatar’s was). It might be a bit of a disservice to the originality and research and hard work TGC staff put into development to simply say ‘oh it’s avatar based’ and also kinda glossing over the existing cultures.

Another thing too, to simply say “it’s avatar based” kinda puts a stopper at one’s curiosity. Since it’s a popculture reference that has a limited amount of history and culture. Like the Air Prophet’s double hair bun... did you know there’s a hairstyle that looks very close to it?
“Shuang Ya Ji (Double Maiden Bun): This hairstyle symbolized youth, and was almost exclusively worn by girls who were 15 years old and younger. The style consists of two buns atop the head, one on the left and one on the right.... I experienced it a lot this morning, I think in my case I respawned but my check point was too far from the lantern/fire source so I was dying over and over again. Had to jump blindly or have friends deepcall to keep me alive long enough for me to walk to the proper check point.

@charred estuary theres a way to escape it without exiting though, you just have to run to the nearest light source or have a friend deep call enough so you can get there

Is it possible to go through fire trial by yourself? I tried first being tall and I lost my light even despite standing over a candle when the creature passed by. Then I tried being short (which had worked in the past before this new update), but I still died. So i thought of lying down and hoping the creature would not hit me but I still died. well I’m pretty sure the capes/spirits were all designed with care to convey the prophecy/sky lore of the season so I’m sure there’s a reason the capes have a similar color. but they have different designs so it’s not that hard to distinguish
