I insist on it. It would have been nice to have the mantha cape with some skills. Like: calling the manthas near you, in the world of sky, while you flying and charging very quickly your cape, or a cape which lets you fly more then the others, slowly blowing off your wings... I dunno, I was expecting something like this for this season, after the last cosmetics... stickerGloomy

The quests aren’t confusing at all, unless you were expecting a shop at the end. The season is for sanctuary (Safety, Protection). Essentially this is the creatures home that we are restoring for them, Calling them back to safety. The wasteland is a barren and dark place of course if you restore it with the magic of sky the impact will be polar opposite. The sanctuary islands seem untouched by the spirits and used more by the creatures. The only structure we see is the bell tower. @hollow compass I think, the devs are thinking on a way to let the new gamers of sky to purchase the previous ultimate gifts. If they are not doing it, they should 💕 if this point could be fixed, we can think about special gifts, not just cosmetics, and help them with ideas. I’m just saying - let be the mantha cape (mantha is a very special being in sky) a special gift, not just cosmetic, it’s nice to think about the future gamers, but let’s think about who is playing now the game

pSkyPeek I'm a regular bonfire user here. That gift suppose to act like a table for social networking. It's helpful for recharging a solo wanderer and also helping others when burning dark plants in wasteland.

Plus, if you have the campfire, for example, and you are doing wasteland, you can leave it on the ground for other players and share it. If the campfire didn’t have this ability, you couldn’t share it with others

I actually think that the regular spirit constellation Elder items should be changed to these more useful ones instead. But that would mean a complete overhaul of the game and it's a little late to go back now.

The problem here isn’t about whether or not they should return ultimate items though, They should. BUT you have to remember that the first 3-4 seasons where advertised to players that they would never return to the game. TCG have to think of a way to bring back the items while keeping ALL players happy, not just new ones. The ultimate items are essentially the physical manifestation of the entire season wrapped up into one cosmetic item. If you weren’t there to experience the season you shouldn’t be able to get the ultimate item. Rather a variant of it instead. Allow the ultimates to return but in different colour variations. A deer mask with silver antlers instead of gold. A blue flamed campfire instead of yellow. Just subtle differences that allow new players to enjoy old items but for veteran players to enjoy the authenticity of theirs.

Reign you still have to farm for the items. If you know your going to fall short for the ultimate reward you have the option to buy seasonal candles from the shop, if you miss the ultimate you blew your shot

Well if we are to have a discussion and not agree on everything i feel me simply reacting instead of continuing on with the debate is totally valid
However since you decided to bring it up again, as you said yes the bonfire is infact super useful, and you are still reaping it's benefits, now it's because you have PAID for it and played in the season, hence your advantage, just like that for the current players and not the future ones who are yet to even discover sky all i ask for is something similar to it, it doesn't NOT need to be something practical, but simply atleast which is a bit different from your normal items you get i mean it is an ultimate i do not ask for an unfair advantage but simply a cosmetic which is special in some way.

@near mason it's still available. you might have flown past the teleport point by accident just go back a little because the tp point is near the edge facing birds nest. the wind wall is on the edge "facing" sanctuary

Each bell has something grander and grander happen, with each seeming to have a purpose of summoning a different creature. The final one bringing them all together seems to be missing something... Like it all should have a reason to get these mantas flying around together.

The bells in Prairie summon mantas who bring the birds. There are some additional light effects coming off the clouds. Just seems like having them all flocking together like that would cause something the ancestors would have wanted. Maybe birds or some kind of light/energy?

I did it with only 4 flaps (went to eden and haven't collected wing lights yet). it's doable if you start from the floating island that the one wing light is on, ride the geyser up to the floating island, take a running leap off the edge and immediately switch to glide mode and pray you make it to the clouds to recharge before you run out of wings SkyLOL

Haha nice Kai! SkyLOL I used two geysers to get me above the main island, then I glided up to the clouds, flapping only when necessary. Once I got up there, it was just a matter of circling a few times to get the right angle stickerHeart

It is a bit wonky staying on the giant mantas. Sometimes I can sit still and have no problem, other times I get pushed to one side and have to maneuver. I try to stay on top the head.

I've got 2 bugs to report, soon as I go on break. One was the timid bookworm being literally fuzzy the other, was how the cut scene when I went back to the spirit.... Well it's probably more of an annoyance, but the screen lingered on the bell tower very slowly zooming in for a full 2 minutes

I'm thinking it might be something that maybe didn't get finished? I feel like all of the seasonal spirits were probably supposed to appear on the hill behind the quest giver and kind of say goodbye, like what happened during Enchantment's final cutscene. But either it's not finished or maybe it didn't work as intended? This is just a guess, but it doesn't seem to me like they're supposed to just stay standing there after it's over (and also a couple of the spirits were missing)

Yes, that was my main complaint for most of them. I asked in Live channel about the jellyfish call one, because I honestly had no idea what was going on there. People suggested they were just jumping around on jellyfish for fun.

I don't think they would do that because it would essentially be exchanging virtual currency that I'm assuming you didn't buy (why would you buy virtual currency to get a store discount) for real products. Merch isn't a high profit margin to begin with

I haven't taken an economics class in years. I only vaguely remember stuff like this so I couldn't give you the exact maths but I do know offering stuff at a discount usually means at a loss and they're taking the loss over the item taking up storage space that new profitable items could be using. and a slight loss is better than loss of the full cost of producing the item. so I guess if the merch sticks around long enough they'd discount it just to make it go away and to eat less of a loss than never selling it at all.

the other option for less reputable places is marking the item up way above where you would make a profit and the offering it at a discount where you still profit just to make the buyer think they're getting a good deal. I can't see sky devs pulling that one though

I think this season as a whole is pretty anticlimactic. None of the season quests seem to matter

With ark we knew what we were doing, we were restoring Ark, and each cutscene had small visual and gameplay changes, which made it feel like we were making a difference. This season just doesn’t have that feeling.

i understand the feeling of it being anticlimactic if expectations are set by the enchantment quests. stickerItsOk the enchantment finale was slightly gamechanging because it introduced the spell shop.
i kinda like the sanctuary quests, since they're really chill, not super dramatic - kinda fits with the vacation-theme of the season. and maybe they don't matter a ton in the grand scheme of things, but i think they matter to the sanctuary spirits (especially the guide).
it's kinda nice to see the sanctuary filled with manta flying around.

seems to be implied that they'll stay. I think Giccix is right that this is a way for new players to experience old seasons and devs have been trying really hard to find ways to give new players access to older content in a way that doesn't take away the specialness of the content when it was brand new

i'd guess the idea for the sanctuary quests is we're restoring the sanctuary by calling back all the manta (presumable, there were a lot of manta there when the spirits were alive)
another way of putting it - to me it feels a little like the area is being brought back to life. there were't many manta there before, but now the area's much more full of life

Enchantment was the season of innovation then. I like the quest system and really liked to do the restoration ones. Guess that’s a good feedback for them and maybe a successful path to follow in the future? To make players feel that they are doing something useful. I like Joshur’s theory but some of the creatures just dissapeared after the quests. Why? SkyShrug

In fact, that was something I sent feedback about how the place would feel more lively if there were some mantas or birds flying around (this was before we knew what all the bell quests would do). I wonder if part of the feeling may also come from the fact that Sanctuary seems to be kind of a standalone season. With Enchantment, we had some references to previous seasons and it felt like it tied into the overall lore of the game. Sanctuary is kind of its own thing (some people have even compared it to like the beach episode situation used in anime sometimes for fillers lol), so it seems more independent of the overall lore and therefore might feel a little less meaningful maybe

I feel like a “beach episode” works, especially since with a game like this, where people join anytime, telling a story where one time occurring things are important makes things complicated, so the seasons kinda have to be extra that isn’t important, and while yeah, a little more story would make the quests in sanctuary better, if the point is for it to be peaceful and like a vacation of sorts, then maybe the point is there isn’t much of one other than just fool around and have fun

The amount of engineering work it takes to reset everyone's progress for the cutscene isn't a trivial task. For testing purposes, you've accomplished what needed to be tested in the sense that you've ensured the game doesn't crash when triggering the cutscene. That being said, we know you all would like to see the cutscene which is why we'll provide a recording.

it's totally fine if you want to trade with your friends. but that's only between you and your friends if you want to play that way. Even with trading disallowed we've had many complaints of scamming, people arguing over agreements... one even tried to share a very detailed contract for daily trading. YUCK

This game has been in development for a long time, and many different things have been tried. If the game could guarantee a return, most players in most cases would opt for that, and never form the trust required to be friends, instead just use players as currency grinding. Without that, people can still use their friends for currency grinding, but even in that case, there's trust involved, instead of the simple mechanics of a 1:1 trade

The cutscene is a placeholder/not finished, but I'm still not sure if there will be some big change. I can't really think of anything that they could add like they did with the shops at Ark. So I'm thinking it will still be a similar cutscene with all the mantas, but the spirits will probably do something other than just stand there creepily

Instead of suggesting a specific solution, you could still suggest a general improvement of the friend menu and explain that it's hard to keep track of all your friends if you have more than the menu can currently display. Hi all!

The cutscene for the final bell quest in the current build is a placeholder. We will have an updated version in the next beta build, but it may still not be finalized at that time. We'll keep you updated on the status of that cutscene as development progresses.

For those who have completed the final quest already, we'll post a recording of the cutscene so you can provide feedback.

I'm on android. technically my home screen is clean because it's all organized into folders but I was making a joke because random cats was joking about the phone in the video being cluttered with apps SkyLOL

yeah. I like that my phone has neat features like that but the amount of device variability is killer for coding so I have to wait longer for app developers to give me features SkyFaint heck even two of the same exact android phone can vary on app compatibility so it's really unpredictable what androids will do with the code
