It’s just bad, it doesn’t really teach you anything, like you feel like you’re learning but by the time you finish the course you have 0 grasp on the language outside of random vocab

I never liked using language apps, and here I am. Stuck on French.

I can hold a basic conversation, but that’s it. I’d love to learn more, but the apps are like “nah.”

The only other option was a French Dictionary I totally didn’t buy.

Right now for learning Japanese I am using mango languages which is free through many public libraries if you have a library card, it shows you sentence structure and gives you culture notes and even though it’s not as “fun” as duolingo ive learned much more from it

Duolingo also added fictional languages without fixing up and improving the courses they already had. I’d rather have it have three or four fleshed-out languages with correct grammar and audio than twenty that hardly make any sense.

Audio is also an issue in the duolingo japanese course, theyre using text to speech and not native speakers so.... you get huge problems like the voice not using the right kanji reading and then telling you to select the other kanji reading as the right answer

originally as a kid my first language was chinese but then cause i live in a country where schools all speak mostly english all the time, english became my first language and forgot a lot of chinese.

I’ve never really had a wholesome conversation with anyone. I tend to just sit around in the prairie and play piano, and the moths will hop around and generally just listen. I’ll show them how to do the puzzles and such after, but that’s usually the highlight of my day. about the manta cape - sadly it's design is somewhat limited due to technical reasons. For example, it actually cannot get any bigger/go any longer because the current cape rigging doesn't allow for it. 😔
It had to be shortened to the current version you see now during the concept and production phases, in order for it to even exist as a cape. (Though I one day dream of having a big majestic manta style cape too! You all have been doing some very cool concept feedback )

2 things: 1 the season passes are so TGC can keep supporting sky (they gotta pay their employees and AWS for the servers) so the cosmetics being pass exclusive during the season is to encourage more people to financially support the game 2 if it's not free now and you can't afford to support Sky financially, just wait until the travelling spirits come back and save up candles

still eternally grateful this game is ad-free and still incredibly easy to be a free to play player. I will 100% give them monies when I can

it may be a while before the TS you want returns though just keep that in mind. they come every 2 weeks during seasons and every week in between seasons. and Sanctuary ones can't return until whatever the next season is completes iirc
