I love the hair, especially thriller spirits hair, the pants are nice but cargo needs a better design tbh, capes this time is very interesting, it's not like the past capes where they just change color pallets and has similar design, I especially love the dad t-shirt cape, instrument is one of it's kind, but I feel like we needed more masks

Me and wyiott tested out the crabs in the cave system with the big tree, they’re also super determined to get on ledges haha, usually they’ll give up when there’s a slope too steep for them to climb but these crabs

I don't know if we ever reached out to Sony about the journey capes, using journey assets during beta and for prototype/proof of concept purposes before permanent assets were created and put in place. The old patterned capes were removed because they were resource hogs, I don't believe the art team ever has any intent to bring those capes back. The art has developed significantly since those early beta days and those capes aren't up to the same standard of current cosmetics. Were that to change, they'd have to be overhauled and polished to meet our current criteria which would be similar to what happened with the original beta Winter items before being brought into the live game for Rhythm.
There are different types of crabs and various aggro tables, so yes some crabs behave differently. Our designer who does the seasonal spirit quests likes to make at least a couple tricky ones for the folks who like challenges, or encourage you to group with friends to create memorable moments. If everything was easy, it'd get pretty boring quickly.

When I did the crab cave quest in beta, I went with some friends to record video and they thought I wanted to do it alone. I kept getting destroyed and they didn’t realize from my honks that I wanted them to help.

I had that issue when I waited to click the candle notification after I had collected all 4 seasonal candle bunches. when I did that I only got 4 candles. now I collect 1 seasonal bunch and click the notification right after each bunch to get all the candles

Encelado, if you want my personal feelings about the ultimate gifts - i love them, they're some of my favourite ultimate gifts from any season. i particularly like that the manta cape is like a symbol of the season of sanctuary as a whole, so i think it works really well as an ultimate gift. i'll always remember the manta quests when i see the cape 
i'm not experienced with musical instruments, but the handpan sounds really cool based on the videos i've seen of people playing it

There is a bug with the calls that, you make a call, and it sounds as normal (for example whale call sounds like whale call to you), but is heard by other players as a high pitched one.

After looking through the wiki, I'm curious what this "Shepherd/Moth" feature is in beta (since I don't have beta). Could someone explain to me, if they don't mind?
@neon lark it's a mysterious ranking of how friendly you are! nobody knows how you get the shepherd rank but basically it displays a badge above you visible to only new players so they know you're friendly and likely to help them out. You also see a badge to denote who is a new player

i found this website that talks about the handpan really well! also it shows videos of different scales and i think my favorite has to be the "exotic/flavorful scale" it sounds so beautiful
actually i think the model is called "F Hijaz" for the exotic scale handpan

we don't have a promised number of any particular type of collectible item (cosmetic, instrument, music sheet, and so on) though we do strive to have a grand total of items available per season. If you have specific requests of things you'd like to see in the game, share in #wishlist-and-ideas-archived while we cannot promise we'll introduce a specific item, your suggestions definitely inspire our decisions.

We try not to make changes once content goes live, but it's not 100% out of the realm of possibility. Such as the Enchantment Ultimate Gift turban had a couple updates postseason launch. While we read all feedback, it is still up to the design and art teams to make the final decisions on what items will look like in order to meet certain polish standards.
I know sentiment on the manta cape has been all over the place but a lot of the suggestions are either not feasible due to restrictions on the game engine, or suggestions/changes requested took away from the theme of looking like a manta and turned it into a completely different concept.

The in-game mantas have completely different rigging and move differently than skykids. Not all capes have the cuts in them. Like I said, that was the design choice. Keep in mind these things go through tons of iteration before you all see them.

@tiny umbra I feel like people in live aren't as picky as in beta lol I think live won't hate the glasses. Beta is a small portion of sky players, and they're usually experienced people who take in-game stuff more seriously. Live is very diverse and a lot of people play casually and don't mind cosmetics that don't necessarily "fit the aesthetic"
