It's not possible to catch all fragments, at least not by yourself, because of the forward draft. The timer also resets partly at one point. It's been like that since before iOS release.

that store doesn't hold regular candles because IAPs are free in beta so they don't want beta testers just "buying" infinite candles. You need to actually play the game to test it so you'll get candles the normal way by playing. The store does occasionally have items in it if there's a need to test them such as the season passes or limited items (like the earth day cape) but otherwise the store will be empty.

It would be cool, considering it’s a sanctuary or like spa place for spirits if we could recharge in the water on the islands. Cause it gets a little annoying having to find a volcano. Also can you make it so the little jelly fish recharge your light? They are light creatures so it makes sense. But for some reason they don’t.
Also in portrait mode the graphic quality goes way down. And it would be nice if you didn’t give it like a fish bowl effect, cause for me personally it makes me feel ill playing in portrait mode because of that.
Also it would be nice if there was a more straightforward way of reaching the new area, instead of going through prairie starter area, bird nest, then new area. It just takes longer. And seeing as the new area is so big, it’s a bit of a pain.

I know the shepherd system has been in beta for quite some time . But yeah Chia is right that we won't know for sure what features move to live until the devs make an announcement telling us so. some beta content gets scrapped before it goes to live. and there's some stuff that gets scrapped before even making it into beta.

Not yet Mono. The climbing spirit path is so bugged that I don't know where to start! Camera pan is one issue, and wonky flight mode is another.

could you elaborate on glitching away? sometimes if you get too close to the edge and another player is right below you it does drop down but I've never had it just disappear from where I was holding it. I do agree camera pan is AWFUL for that spirit though

@frosty vector I don't think you can beat Valley flying race - you can fly up almost indefinitely and it takes ages to fall back again.
@random gull Camera pan was as bad as before imo. And flight navigation is terrible - hard to keep "glued" to the wall (shimmying up), a lot of times you are pushed away because the directional input is not recognised or it switches to glide mode. Also, when you make a jump you jump too high and lose the flame 😭 First attempt took me like 20-25 mins as I had to wait to be charged (no 10 flaps or campfire like in live).

yeah the updraft is great for flying in that area in general but it just straight up yeets you away from the spirit you're guiding. I think it took about 15 minutes when I grabbed it solo and almost the full length of the timer when I helped my friend. (edit omg I forgot to mention the updraft in my feedbacks about the area)

@hidden quarry the spirit where you have to lead the little flame up the mountain, the thinner paths up towards the top, the camera bounces rapidly for a minute and then it flings the little flame off the map entirely. I thought it was a one time thing, but it happened twice.

I don't like the camera pan for these escort spirits. The dotted line is more than enough. The camera pan is just confusing and messes with movement control. I gave feedback on it in Live a few times already, I hope it will be disabled.

hmm I've done that quest three times and I do get the bad camera pan. the "flame" itself doesn't disappear, but the circle around it because I'm down inside the ridge appears above me up on the cliff. I think it's because there's not any flat ground right there so the code tells that circle to 'rest' on the nearest flat ground above me while the spirit flame is still in my hand

a lot of android users are having that problem 😦 TGC is working with Google so all we can say is try the troubleshooting steps in #beta-faq and if those don't work just wait patiently while they try to get it fixed

I really hate the forced planning, that was a big issue I had on that quest, it's why I left feedback to add more ledges or a pathway to help that flame to the spirit. (atleast the spirit doesn't time out like se of them do. )

That's the second most annoying quest. (Cuz the flame charges you after a while) I DID almost time out completely, like there was less than a quarter time left.)
The winner of most annoying spirit is the guy in that globe area in valley where you have to catch all his memories. That's very hard to do solo cuz those sparks are too fast and there's very little gravity with all those clouds. XD I'll have to do a group request later to get him cuz like he's the only spirit I haven't rescued yet.

I HATED THAT ONE I ended up getting it by bringing four friends with me in live. I got lucky in beta and someone was just finishing it up when I came by so I grabbed the last memory and got the spirit too (taking a moment here to say I am forever grateful it does not come up as a relive quest in dailies)

It’s a challenge, but I don’t think it’s as bad as the guiding quests. Tbh, I found the flying to catch sparks in Sanctuary a bit of a challenge, because it was hard to do in that cramped place and there were few places to recharge.

@hollow compass that one still was easier than Valley globe catch the sparks. That one was cake compared to him! The issue with valley is the low gravity. Those gyroscopes don't let you 'drop down' while in sanctuary just face plant into the mountain to disrupt your levitation.

@thick lion true, it’s tricky to fly in Citadel. But the key to that quest is figuring out the sparks’ routes. Some of them fly through the structure, so you can just wait there instead of fly.

@robust hawk there's a few people who have but I think most beta players don't bother aiming for it at all because of the possibility of progress getting wiped any time. I honestly could have had the 99 ascended candles and probably be more than halfway through the 999 hearts right now if I was trying for it but I don't really grind in beta.

I had bad memory of the quest in Valley globe area from Live, so was dreading it in beta. But once you switch to glide mode, it becomes relatively easy to catch the pieces.
The one in Sanctuary is challenging because one of the shards is too far out, at the floating island with the hole in it. I think that one needs to be brought back to be in the radius of the other shards.

you can get chat table spells from the shop in forgotten ark for candles if you think you won't use the table a lot. I can tell you from experience if you make a bunch of active friends who light the friend constellation daily then hearts add up very fast. I have about 80 hearts in live before I stopped accepting the light gifts

So the differences between chat table and the spell: Chat table is a permanent accessory that you can use an unlimited number of times as long as you have it equipped. You can pick it up and move it too (cooldown of about 30 seconds after it’s been placed before you can move it again). Chat table spells are one time use and if you want to move it then you have to use another spell to do so. The spell can be used no matter what accessory you have equipped.

@tiny umbra it’s not a wind wall, it’s wind that goes upwards to help you get higher. It is very possible to go back to bird's nest if you fly up to the clouds near the entrance from the highest point on the main island. Or you can island hop and use butterflies to heal

Of course. I love the season and I really like the ideas but I really dislike the cape designs. The quest giver cape is amazing and so is the butterfly cape but the aloha cape seems a bit off to me. I really dislike its design and the colors. I like the idea of the pants a lot as well as the Jellyfish hat. But looking at the availability to users who don’t get the seasonal pass, it is very disappointing. Look at the last season, cape wise people got two very nice capes without a pass. Here in this season people get one cape that looks- unappealing. Also most of the cosmetics that are worth it are only in the seasonal pass nodes. I get it that TGC wants to make money off of the passes and in order to do so they have to give people an incentive, but the distribution seems really off and unbalanced.

Since I think the manta and butterfly deserve to be a seasonal pass item maybe change the pink shell cape to a non-pass item and maybe make this redesigned cape one too. It doesn’t have to be as fancy as the manta and butterfly capes- but a transparent star cape would look really nice. Honestly I wouldn’t mind drawing up an idea for it. Of the 7000 Google testers we added, it's only impacting a small number so it's not a catastrophic setback for our testing purposes. Unfortunately that also probably a contributing factor for Google not getting back to us on why this is happening in the first place.
The android channel is permanently closed. I've left it up until it is archived.
For the most part, the things we are looking to test are platform agnostic and there's not real reason to have people talking about the same thing and asking the same questions in two different channels. We originally opened it up for the 7 months worth of Android testing before Sky was globally launched in April. At that time a lot of discussion was platform specific.
Downloading the APK through a third party is not permitted and is against Terms of Service.
APK in and of itself is okay because that is just the file format for Android devices. Think of it like a .jpg or .png file.

If you're moving from one iOS device to the next, you're fine. Log back into the Apple ID that has the Testflight invitation and you'll be able to download it onto a new device (if you use apple's recovery process, it'll likely download the beta automatically along with your other apps).
If you're swapping from iOS to Android, your testflight link is not transferrable since Beta invites are separated by platform. (Though I could be convinced to make an exception and add your account to continue testing on the new platform)

I upgraded to a new phone recently and it didn’t carry over any beta apps. Had to reinstall them all. So I lost the ones that were expired (no biggie I guess).

We won't be bringing back the exact Aviary as people from pre-global iOS launch remember it, but we do want to bring back the things people liked and miss about Aviary.
The new area for Sanctuary is a permanent feature, seasonal spirits aside, the content contained will persist once Sanctuary concludes. Similar to the Forgotten ark area for Enchantment.
We're constantly, incrementally working on improving existing worlds and spirit quests.
We may add new permanent spirits and constellations but I am not at liberty to really go into detail on those plans other than yes we've discussed it internally when looking at the long term experience of Sky. The game has certainly become way more popular than we expected and it will take our tiny dev team a while to 'catch up' and adjust for how players are enjoying the game in ways we didn't expect. Which is a GOOD thing, but again, adjusting and doing things the right way takes time. This includes so, so many things we're working on internally that we're not ready to share yet.

The gold tassel cape was available without the season pass and with a pretty low candle cost so it was one of the first things I unlocked in beta last season and then after the next update it was season pass locked behind like the 22 candle level or something like that.
The amusing part was that since I already unlocked it before they moved everything around, I had a random piece of that tree already unlocked 🤣
I may be wrong about it not needing the pass at first, but it was definitely at the very bottom of the tree.

I fell in love with the manta suit recently, my only issue with it is the arms are not always the best looking in different poses. They can overlap in a weird way with arm crossing etc. Cargo pant’s lower part reminds me a little of a pirate’s wooden leg maybe, it is way too skinny with barely no feet part.

I don't think so, except maybe for some rare Soft release members. You need 150 stars for 11 wedges.
And I suppose TGC needs to work out how to display that... 😮

the translator works really well! I just tried it with a Japanese friend and it worked almost perfectly, the only thing it couldn't translate was the Japanese word for "training under a waterfall"
